CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: If you are flying this morning, hold on for just a second. We want to check in with our Air Traffic Expert Travelocity's Rally Caparas.
Good morning -- Rally.

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Good morning, Carol.

Well, it looks like we are in the -- well today is going to actually be something called holiday make-up day. There's going to be a lot of air traffic volume increase because of people going back home. It's time -- it's that time of the year now. The holidays are over. Friday is a great travel day and there will be a lot of traffic, but delays across the northeast.

Newark and LaGuardia and Philadelphia, they will start out delay free. Their delays will be mostly because of low clouds, rain and poor visibility. Forty-five-minute arrival delays as a result. That could be off and on throughout the entire day. We'll watch the rain later on this morning and see what's going to happen with it, but it looks like it could stick around for the entire day.

Miami, Fort Lauderdale, that's where we'll see the heavy volume because of, they call them, snowbirds. I know, don't take it as an insult, but a lot of folks to and from Florida during the winter, snowbirds. You know what you are. Forty-five to 60-minute arrival delays into Miami and Fort Lauderdale airports. Very congested routes, a lot of people going back home after the holidays. Departures could be a problem, also, as those routes will be affected, the departure routes, that is, also.

Chicago O'Hare, they are not seeing a whole lot of visibility right now. Low clouds, fog, poor surface visibility, that could stick around all day long, also. Forty-five to 60-minute arrival delays this morning. About an eighth of a mile visibility down Chicago O'Hare's runways, so expect lengthy delays into O'Hare, at least to start the day. We'll keep you updated.

St. Lake City, you are looking at 45 to 60-minute arrival and departure delays. Plenty of low clouds, lots of fog and a good bit of snow for the rest of the day, also. Departure flight de-icing will cause your departures some departure delay, also.

San Francisco on the West Coast, the only one, once again, with any major situation to worry about, low clouds, fog, rain all day and evening long and that means 45 to 60-minute arrival delays during the p.m. hours.

Lots of areas seeing less-than-perfect conditions, but schedules should stay close to schedule. I'll be back on Monday morning with the latest 'Eye on the Sky." Carol, back to you.

COSTELLO: All right, thank you, Rally.
