CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: For the second time in three years, the New England Patriots captured the Super Bowl title, and, boy, was it thrilling. Also for the second time, Pats' quarterback Tom Brady captured the MVP trophy. Brady threw for three touchdowns and set up the game winning field goal with just eight seconds left.
Let's get more now on the MVP from CNN's Larry Smith in Houston.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

LARRY SMITH, CNN CORRESPONDENT: One of the most thrilling Super Bowls ever showed that a young Tom Brady is quickly becoming one of the great big game quarterbacks in NFL history. The Patriots star completed a Super Bowl record 32 passes, four in the final minute, to clinch a second championship in three seasons.

ADAM VINATIERI, PATRIOTS' KICKER: He's amazing. He's just absolutely amazing. He just, every time, every time the pressure is on him he just shrugs it off and says come on, I'll beat you again. So he, he deserves all them Cadillacs he's got in his garage now.

TROY BROWN, PATRIOTS' WIDE RECEIVER: He's just cool, you know, and I think he has the ability to make everybody else around him cool.

TOM BRADY, SUPER BOWL MVP: I'm a quarterback on a great clutch team and we've continued to show that game in and game out this season. And you just take nothing for granted.

BILL BELICHICK, PATRIOTS' HEAD COACH: Tom's a winner. He is. That's what a quarterback's job is, is to do what, do what he needs to do to make the team win. And Tom, he does that as well as anybody.

TEDY BRUSCHI, PATRIOTS' LINEBACKER: I think the fans really got their money's worth. It started out to have lived up to billing, but then all of a sudden the floodgates were opened.

SMITH: Brady and the Patriots end the season on a 15 game winning streak. The only team that can top that, the perfect 1972 Dolphins. And you can't blame this championship on parity in the NFL. The Pats this season a perfect 10-0 versus teams with winning records.

At the Super Bowl in Houston, I'm Larry Smith.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

COSTELLO: Patriot fans will get their chance to cheer their team again tomorrow when they gather for a victory parade in Boston. TO ORDER A VIDEO OF THIS TRANSCRIPT, PLEASE CALL 800-CNN-NEWS OR USE OUR SECURE ONLINE ORDER FORM LOCATED AT www.fdch.com
