CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: If you are heading to the airport this morning, hold on for just a second, let's check in with our Air Traffic Expert Travelocity's Rally Caparas.
Good morning -- Rally.

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Good morning, Carol. It's shaping up to be a pretty good day to fly. I know there's a lot of weather in the south, but things should run pretty smoothly for most of the day.

Philadelphia and the D.C. Metros, there's a possibility of early snow and de-icing. Very light snow flurries and some de-icing because of cold temperatures. Thirty to 45-minute arrival and departure delays are likely as a result. By the midafternoon, we should see some improvement and on-time schedules, so no major worries there.

Charlotte's Douglas Airport, you can expect 30 to 45-minute arrival delays for most of the day. Low clouds, rain, fog creating poor visibility. And like I said, it will be all day and evening long.

Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International, we're seeing lots of low clouds, lots of rain and poor visibility. Forty-five to 60-minute arrival delays as a result. We could be out of the woods by the mid- evening rush as Chad told you just a little while ago. So there could be some on-time schedules by the time we hit the late evening hours.

Orlando McCoy Airport, they are having poor visibility on the runway surface areas. Low clouds and very dense fog this morning. So as a result, expect 45-minute arrival delays there. But that all should be burned off or cleared up before noon Eastern Time.

And then Chicago O'Hare, they have got a volume problem for sure. They have scheduled to have 62 flights cancelled beginning in March. United and American have collaborated to take some heat off of the schedule there and so delays should drop. But until then, expect 30 to 45-minute arrival delays, some light snow, possible this morning and then the northwest winds, although it won't be very strong. The volume and the wind direction will force a reduction in the arrival rate and that means delays. So expect 30 to 45-minute arrival delays.

The western half of the United States looking absolutely perfect for air travel.

I'll be back tomorrow morning with the latest 'Eye on the Sky.' Carol, have a great day. COSTELLO: You too. Thank you, Rally.
