CATHERINE CALLAWAY, CNN ANCHOR: Let's check in with our 'Eye on the Sky.' Air Traffic Expert Rally Caparas from Travelocity Business is here with us this morning.
Gosh, yucky day in Atlanta yesterday, but a lot of people flying out for a long weekend.

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Yes. Yes, well it was -- it was tough yesterday on a lot of folks. A lot of bad travel in the southeast especially. But today, things are going to be a little bit different later on. To start the day, there will be some problems. Let's talk about the delays today.

In the northeast, you'll experience a very bumpy ride. Boston, Philadelphia, the New York City Metros, possibly even down in the D.C. Metro area, a very bumpy ride. Strong gusting winds out of the west, but you should remain delay free. So keep your seatbelt fastened, take some Dramamine or motion sickness stuff if you are susceptible to that because it will be rather rough at the low altitudes.

Now delays. Atlanta, Tampa, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale, possibly even Miami this morning, very dense fog right now, about a quarter mile at Tampa, half a mile at Orlando, not a real good situation there, but it's because of dense fog. It should clear up by noon Eastern Time. But until then, you can expect a 45-minute arrival delay. After that, though, things should operate pretty smoothly for you.

Chicago O'Hare, another day of gusting winds out of the west. It's more of a volume issue than it is the wind. They have reduced the airport schedules for the month of March. American and United are both reduced by about 32 airplanes apiece, that should help things out from this point forward. But until then, expect 45-minute arrival delays as a result of the wind plus the volume.

Houston's George Bush under the clouds all day long, as Chad has told you. Lots of low clouds means lots of delays. It won't be very long, though, 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays. You could see a thunderstorm this afternoon and evening limiting flight routes into and out of the airport. Could make those delays a little longer, but nothing major there.

And then on the West Coast, San Francisco, they will see some gusting winds out of the southeast. Forces a less-than-optimal runway configuration. As a result, expect 45-minute arrival delays. There will be some low clouds, possibly even some rain this afternoon and evening. Those delays will continue into the evening hours as a result.

The rest of the country looking fabulous on this getaway/weekend or holiday weekend. Should be a pretty good one for most people.

I'll be back on Monday...

CALLAWAY: All right.

CAPARAS: ... with the latest 'Eye on the Sky.' Catherine, have a great one.

CALLAWAY: Happy Valentine's Day -- Rally.

CAPARAS: Happy Valentine's Day to you, lady in red.

CALLAWAY: You know, got to be in the spirit.

CAPARAS: There you go.

CALLAWAY: Have a good weekend.

CAPARAS: Sure, you too.
