CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: If you're planning on flying this morning, hang on for just a second. Travelocity's air traffic expert, Rally Caparas, is here to talk about delays.
RALLY CAPARAS, TRAVELOCITY: And I'm real upset this morning. I don't know if I want to do this job. I'm hearing all of these baseball stories. Do you know that the Yankees are likely to have to pay $60 million in luxury taxes this year, and that's more than a lot of the baseball teams' total payrolls?

COSTELLO: Well, at least it will help out the city of New York.

CAPARAS: It doesn't help out me. I'm a Red Sox fan.

COSTELLO: Oh, no.

CAPARAS: And I'm a little upset. Anyway, just like the rest of them.

Today's delays, folks, good news in Boston. No delays, but that's all of the good news. They're going to be celebrating just south of you, and I know I've had enough of it, too. But anyway, congratulations, New York.

Boston, Philadelphia and the New York City metro airports, excellent conditions today. I don't think any of that weather is going to get up there. I think Chad has been hedging towards that also, but he's scared to say it. The conditions should stick around long enough so that you have delay-free conditions at those three major locations.

However, down in D.C. and Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham, you're likely to see some low clouds and some rain, maybe some snow, possible departure flight de-icing. Don't expect anything more than 30 to 45- minute arrival and departure delays. I know you've been waiting for that. I don't anticipate anything longer than 45 minutes or so, so good news there.

Atlanta Hartsfield and Jackson International, we'll have low clouds once again, no rain, but the poor visibility means 45 to 60- minute arrival delays. We saw it yesterday. We'll see it again. The heavy volume here is just a pain when we get into IFR instrument flight rule conditions.

Chicago to Houston and the central U.S., excellent conditions a second day in a row. Chicago doesn't usually see two days in a row, but they do get another day of delay-free conditions. And then San Francisco and the West Coast, they will again see 60-minute arrival delays, because of low clouds, rain, winds, and those winds are going to gust up to about 25 to 30 knots.

The rest of the country is looking good.

I'll be back tomorrow morning with the latest on -- well, the Red Sox situation.

COSTELLO: Yes, you go lick your wounds now.

CAPARAS: I'm going to go and lick my wounds.

COSTELLO: Thank you, Rally.

CAPARAS: Sure.
