(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
LARRY KING, HOST: Tonight, psychic Char Margolis. She says she can reach the dear departed and tonight she'll take your calls. Anyone you'd like to reach on the other side. Lot more, too. Char Margolis for the hour, next, on LARRY KING LIVE.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

KING: Before we being, we'll repeat tomorrow night, the interview with Senator and Mrs. John Kerry and Monday night, a very special guest we cannot announce it now. It will be announced early Monday morning on CNN. So tune in Monday morning for the news as to who the special guest is Monday night.

Char Margolis joins us. She's a master at psychic intuitiveness. She teaches people how to hone their own intuitive skills. She's the author of an upcoming book "Life, A Master Intuitive's Collection Of Inspirational Thoughts." There you see its go. She also has a CD out called "Empower Your Wisest Self." Good to see her again.

CHAR MARGOLIS: Thank you. I'm so happy to be here.

KING: What do we mean by intuitive?

MARGOLIS: Just as animals have instinct, people have intuition. It's just a natural sixth sense that we all have. And so, everyone has had an experience and perhaps you've experienced this, you wanted to do something, maybe it was make a business deal, maybe it was a friendship. Whatever it was, you had a gut feeling not to do it. But you did it anyway and you suffered the consequences. Right?

KING: Mm-hmm.

MARGOLIS: Has it happened to you?

KING: Everybody.

MARGOLIS: Or maybe you had a feeling, you know, not to do something and you didn't listen, and so, then it proved to be good for you. This is what I'm talking about. That simple sixth sense that we all have. That gut feeling.

KING: What about when it's wrong?

MARGOLIS: When the gut feeling's wrong? KING: I have a gut feeling, boy, this can't miss and it misses.

MARGOLIS: Well, sometimes...

KING: Your intuition isn't always right, is it?

MARGOLIS: Well, it's not just our intuition. Sometimes our wishful thinking gets in the way of our intuition.

KING: How do you separate the two?

MARGOLIS: You have to practice. Be aware of your thoughts. You become aware of your thoughts, and you learn to understand between what your desire is and what that real gut feeling is. And what I have seen is that when we combine logic, common sense, and intuition, we make the wisest choices.

KING: And you can teach that?

MARGOLIS: I do teach it.

KING: How did it happen to you? How were you intuitive? How were you psychic?

MARGOLIS: Well...

KING: Why you?

MARGOLIS: Well, now you're using the word psychic and then you're using the word intuitive. There's different levels of being intuitive.

KING: You prefer intuitive to psychic?

MARGOLIS: Well, or psychic intuitive. We only use one tenth of our brains, scientists say. So where else, what else is going on up there? Well, you can be intuitive without being spiritual or without believing in spirit communication. Spirit communication is another level of being intuitive. We can communicate with that universal consciousness. We can pick up on other people's energy and feeling.

KING: Mm-hmm.

MARGOLIS: There are different levels of understanding this.

KING: How do you teach it?

MARGOLIS: I teach it by first of all making people aware of their thoughts.

KING: Aware of their own thoughts?

MARGOLIS: Yes. It's really important for all of us to be aware of our thoughts, and to take time every day to listen to our thoughts and to understand when an intuitive thought comes in that says, look it, there were people in the World Trade Center who were told to go back into that second building. And they had a feeling not to go back in. They went back in, and they didn't live to talk about it. But there were those people who didn't go back in, and had a feeling not to, and they have lived to talk about it.

KING: Of course. But there are stories like that all the time.

MARGOLIS: Of course!

KING: People have gotten off airplanes because they think it's going to crash but it didn't crash. They were wrong.

MARGOLIS: But there are some that have.

KING: Well, but that's called coincidence or that's called by the nature of law of averages. A plane will crash sometime. Someone will get off it.

MARGOLIS: Well, you know, it just depends on what your belief system is. And it depends on how you use, you know, your own logic, common sense, and gut feelings.

KING: When you tune in...

MARGOLIS: But you're telling me that you have had a gut feeling about something.

KING: Sure, everyone has.

MARGOLIS: Well, that's intuition.

KING: Of course. What I was asking about, what happens when it's wrong?

MARGOLIS: But my feeling is when it's wrong it's because you're desiring something and it's really not the right thing for us. Life is a school and we're here to learn. And so we're always being thrown curveballs because it's -- and sometimes when things don't work out our way, many times, it's a blessing in disguise.

KING: Sure.

MARGOLIS: Because we're here to learn and to grow. That's why we're here. When we die, it's not how rich we are, or how famous we are, or you know -- it's about -- it's about our deeds, and who we were as human beings. And did we live with kindness and love, and understanding?

KING: Do you, when you deal with people, you give readings, et cetera, what are you getting? In other words, when you sit with someone, can you describe what you're picking up?

MARGOLIS: It depends. It depends. Many times what I do is I connect people to the spirit world on one level. I believe that we don't die and that love never dies. And that E=MC ^2. Energy has to go somewhere. And I believe that energy, of who we were, that we all have our own energy thumbprint and when we die we are still that individual, and that we still have a consciousness, but on another plane.

KING: And you can tune into that consciousness?

MARGOLIS: Yes. I believe in communicating, through thought. Thought is very powerful. Thoughts create reality. Thoughts are things.

KING: But the person who was here, how do you know what they're thinking? Or how do you know where that spirit is?

MARGOLIS: Well, see, this is an interesting topic. Because there are many people who are psychics who only communicate with the spirit world. But, as I write in one of my books, in "Questions From Ruth, Answers From Heaven," don't believe anything, any if it's your dead grandmother, because your dead grandmother may want you to be a doctor. You know, he should have been a nice Jewish doctor. But that's not what you wanted to be or where you went or who you are.

So, when I tune in to people, and I get that energy, spirits are like friends. They can give us good advice and bad advice. So I try to tune in to see if that universal consciousness, that oneness that we all can tap into, that creative place, if that is at a balanced place, if it makes sense when the grandmother comes in and says it.

KING: Do you only then work through the spirit world?

MARGOLIS: No, I don't. That's what I'm saying.

KING: I remember the Char I knew years ago gave people readings just as don't go out with this fellow...

MARGOLIS: Right. I do that. I still do that. I still do that. But I don't always listen to spirits because, spirits can give you good advice, and bad advice. They're just like friends.

KING: Spirits can be dumb.

MARGOLIS: That's right. Or they can be a trickster energy trying to guide you in the wrong place.

KING: What if a spirit didn't like you?

MARGOLIS: That wouldn't be so good.

KING: What if he didn't like you in life and he don't like you in death? In other words you tick me off?

MARGOLIS: And a lot of people in the spirit world do not grow.

KING: Do you like what you have?

MARGOLIS: Yes. I love it.

KING: You do? It would drive me nuts.

MARGOLIS: Well, I'm not 24/7 being psychic. In fact, my nickname is Magoo (ph) because I get lost driving from my sister's house to my house because I'm thinking all the time about things. It's really something that I have to tune into, that I have to go to this place and really concentrate, and really try to connect with people in -- I have TV shows now in Amsterdam and...

KING: Amsterdam?

MARGOLIS: Yes. With RTL-4, and (UNINTELLIGIBLE) and I really have to concentrate, because first of all, I speak one word of Dutch. "Dank u" which is thank you. And I'm getting these names, these Dutch names and other names that I could not know, and I have to really listen to those thoughts that are being put in my head. They're not thoughts I think. They're thoughts put in my head.

KING: They call you from The Netherlands?

MARGOLIS: I go to The Netherlands.

KING: How often?

MARGOLIS: I have a prime-time show.

KING: How often are you there?

MARGOLIS: I'm going for six weeks starting this August.

KING: Our guest is Char Margolis. We're going to take your phone calls. We'll ask how she does what she does via the phone. Of course we'll take your calls, as well. Her new book -- is it out now, by the way?

MARGOLIS: Yes, you can get it on my website at Char.net.

KING: Char.net. We'll be right back with your calls. Don't go away.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

KING: We're back with Char Margolis. As you come on the phone you don't have to ask a question. Char will ask you some things.

MARGOLIS: All I need for people to say is hello. I want to hear their voice. And when I ask -- usually I work with initials or names, so if they could just say yes or no if it's someone close to them.

But they need to be open-minded. I can't just answer what you want. So please be open-minded whoever calls in.

And also, I don't always know if the person I'm picking up on is living or deceased because I communicate through thought.

KING: So you might say...

MARGOLIS: So I don't always know if the person I'm picking up is living or deceased. But sometimes I know. Sometimes I know.

KING: Houston, Texas. Let's give it a shot. Houston, Hello.

CALLER: Hi, Larry. Hi, Char.

KING: Hi.

CALLER: Hi.

MARGOLIS: Hi. Do you have somebody who is a J.?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: A male J. Or female a J.?

CALLER: Actually, both.

MARGOLIS: Is there one that's spelled J.O?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is that a male? A John or a Joe?

CALLER: It's a Joe.

MARGOLIS: Is he deceased?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is this your father?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: Who is he?

CALLER: He's my uncle.

MARGOLIS: I think his spirit's around you. And also is there a J. Female?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: And in her name is there an N. in it?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is it like J.E. or J.O. as well?

CALLER: Close.

MARGOLIS: Janice or Jane or Janet, or something?

CALLER: Well, it's Juanita.

MARGOLIS: Juanita. Is this family to you, as well?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: And who is that?

CALLER: That's my grandmother.

MARGOLIS: OK, I think her spirit's around you, as well. Were you thinking about changing where you live?

CALLER: Yes!

MARGOLIS: OK. And are you concerned about the money? Or how you're going to handle this?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: OK. My feeling is that you need to sit down logically and figure this out and you'll be able to do it.

KING: OK. Because I want to move through and try to reach as many people as possible with Char. Las Vegas. Hello. Las Vegas. Hello.

CALLER: Hello!

KING: Yes, speak up. Go ahead.

MARGOLIS: Could you please bet Red 5 for me?

Just joking.

CALLER: Hello.

MARGOLIS: OK, Hello. OK, hi. Do you have somebody who is an A or M initial connected with you?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: Anyone deceased or living? Think.

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: Okay, who is that that's right a M.A. Like a Margaret or Mary or Ann?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: OK. It's a common name or a middle name like this?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: OK. You know what? I'm sorry I'm not picking up on you.

CALLER: OK.

MARGOLIS: I'm not picking up on you, I'm really sorry.

KING: That happens, right? MARGOLIS: Yes, I guess it is. Or maybe she's not thinking.

KING: Salt Lake City. Hello.

CALLER: Hello.

MARGOLIS: Hi. Do you have somebody that's an A or M connected to you?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Which letter an A. or an M.?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Spelled M.A.?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: R?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Mary?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is it your mom or grandma?

CALLER: No, my aunt.

MARGOLIS: Your aunt. Is she deceased?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: I think her spirit is around you. Have you had some health concerns recently?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: OK. Have you been put on a medication?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: Is the doctor talking about putting you on a medication?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: OK, I'm not allowed to give out medical advice but I have a feeling there's something that's going to put you on to control something. Did you have any problem with your leg or your back?

CALLER: My back and yes, and my foot.

MARGOLIS: And your foot. OK. I almost said foot. OK. I have a feeling there's a way that they can help you with this.

CALLER: OK.

MARGOLIS: And I'm not allowed to give out medical advice, but I would go in -- are they giving you therapy?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: You need more help with this.

KING: Go to a doctor.

MARGOLIS: Go to a doctor.

KING: M. and A. That you picked up with her. Could that have been from the call before that didn't have an M. or A.?

MARGOLIS: I might have been mixing them up.

KING: Could you be a call ahead?

MARGOLIS: I could be a call ahead and I could be mixing it up. I do the best I can.

KING: Tarzana, California.

CALLER: Hi, Larry. Hi, Char. Nice to talk to you.

MARGOLIS: Hi. It's nice to talk to you, too. Is there somebody who's an S. or M. connected to you?

CALLER: S. or M.?

MARGOLIS; Yes.

CALLER: Not that I know of.

MARGOLIS: Anyone deceased or living?

CALLER: No. My father was and H.

MARGOLIS: Don't say the name.

CALLER: He passed away.

MARGOLIS: He starts with an H.?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Don't say the name. Is it spelled H.A?

CALLER That's what it starts with.

MARGOLIS: Like Harry or Harold?

CALLER: Yes. MARGOLIS: OK. I think he's around you but there's also an S. Do you know if there was a Sam or a Saul or a Sarah or something like this?

CALLER: Not that I know of. No, I have a friend of mine starts with an S.

MARGOLIS: Is it S. with a T. in it, your friend?

CALLER: No, just S.A.

MARGOLIS: He's not Sam or Sarah?

CALLER: Sam is a friend of mine.

MARGOLIS: Sam is a friend of yours. OK.

CALLER: My father's name started with H.

MARGOLIS: I think Harry's probably around you. You feel him around you, don't you?

CALLER: I think sometimes I do even though he's been dead for like 23 years.

MARGOLIS: That's OK, because love is a bridge that connects us to the other side. I do think he's around you. And I don't know what this is with Sam. Are you thinking of -- do you work with Sam at all?

CALLER: No we're just good friends.

MARGOLIS: Are you thinking of making a change with your work?

CALLER: No, I'm not.

MARGOLIS: Is Sam?

CALLER: No, Sam is a married guy with three kids.

MARGOLIS: No, no, work.

CALLER: I don't know.

MARGOLIS: OK, I'm mixing this up. All I know is I'm seeing a change around you with work and I don't understand it. But I see this coming around you. But I think it's good for you.

KING: So you think he may go in Monday and get fired?

MARGOLIS: No. I just think there's a change around him at work.

KING: Southfield, Michigan.

CALLER: Hi, Char, hi Larry. How are you?

MARGOLIS: Good. CALLER: Great.

MARGOLIS: Hi. I'm from Southfield.

CALLER: Oh, great. I thought you were.

MARGOLIS: Yes, I am. OK. Do you have somebody who is a J. or an R. initial connected with you?

CALLER: I do have a J.

MARGOLIS: Is that a male J.?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: And in his name with the J. is there an M. or N. in his name?

CALLER: I don't think so.

MARGOLIS: Is it J.O.?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Like Joseph?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is that family to you?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: And is he living or deceased.

CALLER: Yes, he's living.

MARGOLIS: OK. Was there -- I don't know why I'm seeing this. I'm seeing a car. Was there a car problem with him or with you recently? Or is he getting a new car?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: OK. Did you have -- did you have a problem with a car recently?

CALLER: Not recently. But sometime ago.

MARGOLIS: Was there an accident?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: OK you need to watch your driving again.

CALLER: OK.

MARGOLIS: Do you sometimes -- do you ever drive with Joe? CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: OK. I'm confused about why I'm picking up on him. But I'm seeing something with driving, and I see that your mind wanders. Is that true? When you're driving.

KING: Wandered when you just asked her.

CALLER: Not really.

MARGOLIS: Very funny. OK just want you to be careful with driving because I don't want to see another accident around you. Just really watch this.

KING: Before we go to break. What do you pick up? Explain what...

MARGOLIS: What happens is...

KING: Where do you get the letter from?

MARGOLIS: I feel the energy of the people. Actually I get an initial or a name that connects me with somebody. And that's how I tune in...

KING: But you don't know where it's coming from.

MARGOLIS: Because the reason we name people after each other is because the name connects us to the soul. That's why we name people after each other.

KING: Jewish name after someone dead.

MARGOLIS: Right, right. And what happens is I feel the energy of the people, and then I tune in to them, it's like a thought put into my head. It's not a thought I think.

You know this thing with the driving? It's like, there have been times where i've been told slow down, slow down, slow down, and I would not -- I hadn't had a ticket in forever and all of a sudden I'll be driving and -- and I'll get a ticket. But I was warned intuitively, and it's not like I was driving that fast over the speed limit, it's just that I think that we're all tipped off. I think the universe tips us all off when we listen.

KING: We'll take a break and be right back with Char. Her book is "Life: A Master Intuitive's Collection of Inspirational Thoughts." Actually, you could put this book down and start at any place in it. Right?

MARGOLIS: It's true.

KING: And the tape is "Empower Your Wiser Self." More calls after this.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK) KING: We're back with Char Margolis. Before we take our next call, your first TV appearances in Los Angeles, when you lived here, were on Regis Philbin's show?

MARGOLIS: Right, right.

KING: Then years later, you make an appearance on "Regis and Kelly," become very eventful, especially for the co-host Kelly Ripa. Let's take a look at a clip from that.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MARGOLIS: I heard you say earlier that you're married and you have a husband and a son. She watches over your son, and she's also showing me another baby, and I don't -- and she's saying that she's going to watch over you when this new baby comes. And I -- it's soon. It's not far away. You're not pregnant yet, are you?

REGIS PHILBIN, HOST: Are you expecting?

KELLY RIPA, HOST: Well, I...

PHILBIN: Is that a yes?

RIPA: I haven't told my boss yet.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

KING: Pretty good.

MARGOLIS: Thank you. Yeah, they had no idea.

KING: Clarkston, Michigan. Hello.

CALLER: Hello.

KING: Hi.

MARGOLIS: Hi. Boy, more Michigan people. Hi. Do you have someone who's an R. or B. initial close to you?

CALLER: A B.

MARGOLIS: Is that a male B.?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: A female B. In her name with the B., is there a T. in it or an R.?

CALLER: An R.

MARGOLIS: Is it B-A?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Barbara?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is she deceased?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: She's living. OK. Is this family to you?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is this your daughter?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: Who is this? Your sister? Who is this?

CALLER: Yeah, it's my sister.

MARGOLIS: Your sister. Have you been worried about Barbara?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Oh, man. Are you worried about her health?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: Or also your relationship?

CALLER: The relationship.

MARGOLIS: You and she -- you and Barbara don't really communicate well, do you?

CALLER: Right.

MARGOLIS: Did she push you away from the family? She pushed you away, didn't she?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: I'm sorry, sweetheart. Oh. You want to know what I think?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: I think that she's been jealous of you through the years. Did you think this?

CALLER: Yes, I have that.

MARGOLIS: You know, everything in life has balance. A battery doesn't run unless there's a positive and negative charge. Like Cain and Abel in the Bible. You're the good sister, she's the bad sister. I really think a good psychologist could help you figure this out. And stop trying to win her over, because she doesn't deserve your friendship.

CALLER: I know that.

MARGOLIS: And my feeling is that you're allowing her to upset you. No one can upset us unless we give them the power to. You're in Michigan, right?

CALLER: Yes, I am.

MARGOLIS: My sister, Dr. Tisdale (ph), is a great therapist. If you call my office, look at Char.net on the Internet, we can give you Alicia's (ph) number, she'll help you.

KING: Just look it up, Char.net and just contact, they'll give you a phone number on there, right?

MARGOLIS: Yeah, yeah.

KING: And we go to Nashville, Tennessee. Hello.

CALLER: Hello.

KING: Hi.

MARGOLIS: Hi.

CALLER: hi.

MARGOLIS: Do you have somebody who's a J.?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: A male J.?

CALLER: Female.

MARGOLIS: A female J. Is there N. in her name?

CALLER: An N.?

MARGOLIS: Yes. If you spell it out?

CALLER: Her maiden name.

MARGOLIS: OK, but in her first name is there an L.?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: Or a D. in her first name?

CALLER: D.

MARGOLIS: Like a Judy or Jody?

CALLER: Judy.

MARGOLIS: Judy. And who is this?

CALLER: My mother.

MARGOLIS: And is she deceased?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: She's living. OK. Have you been concerned about Judy's health?

CALLER: Oh, yes.

MARGOLIS: OK. Is she -- also are you concerned about who's taking care of her?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: And are you thinking of changing her home or where she lives or who's taking care of her?

You need to make sure that there are people there to watch her.

CALLER: Well, my sister.

MARGOLIS: Your sister's helping her? OK. My feeling is that you still need -- you're going to need more help for your sister to help with your mom.

CALLER: Like medical help?

MARGOLIS: No, just help. In time your mom's going to need more help of, you know...

KING: Mobility?

MARGOLIS: Yeah, thank you. Blah.

CALLER: With what?

KING: Mobility.

MARGOLIS: With mobility.

KING: Moving around.

MARGOLIS: I'm much better with the dead than I am with the living, sorry.

CALLER: OK.

MARGOLIS: OK? Thank you.

KING: Go examine yourself.

Portland, Oregon. A little worried about you, Char.

MARGOLIS: People are just dying to talk to you, Larry.

KING: We'll give a number for you to call.

(CROSSTALK)

KING: Portland, Oregon. Hello.

CALLER: Hi, Larry. Hi, Char.

MARGOLIS: Hi. Thank you for calling. Do you have somebody who's an M.?

CALLER: Oh, yes.

MARGOLIS: Is that a female?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is it spelled M-A?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: R., as well? M-A-R?

CALLER: U-R.

MARGOLIS: Maureen?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: OK. Is she deceased, Maureen? She's living.

CALLER: Deceased.

MARGOLIS: OK. Was she young? When she died, Maureen?

CALLER: 47.

MARGOLIS: To me, that's young. Young to you?

KING: Very young.

MARGOLIS: Yeah. Is this your mom, your sister? Who is it?

CALLER: Mom.

MARGOLIS: Your mom. OK. She's with you. And you know what? You know she's with you, don't you?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: That's your intuition kicking in. You feel your mom's presence around you.

CALLER: Yeah, I do.

MARGOLIS: And she's -- she's helping you. And I hear a little baby in the background. Is that your baby?

CALLER: It's my granddaughter.

MARGOLIS: It's your granddaughter. OK. Because I have a feeling that she watches over this child and you. And that she's only a thought away from you.

CALLER: Oh, that's wonderful. Thank you.

MARGOLIS: Yes. And one more thing. Did you dream about her? Have you had a dream about your mom?

CALLER: No, not lately.

MARGOLIS: OK. When you do, listen to it. Because spirits like to come in dreams and tip us off about things. OK, thanks you.

KING: We'll be right back. We'll be right back with Char Margolis and more phone calls. Don't forget, on Monday night, a very special guest. We can't announce it until early Monday morning, sometime after midnight Sunday night. But I think you'll find it very interesting. Major guest on Monday night, and we'll repeat the interview with senator and Mrs. Kerry tomorrow night.

MARGOLIS: I might tell everybody who it is.

KING: They told you?

MARGOLIS: No, I'm joking. It's a psychic joke.

KING: Does it have a B.?

You'll never be back.

We'll be right back with Char right after this.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

KING: We're back with Char Margolis. Her website, any questions, or order the book is www.char.net. Terre Haute, Indiana. Hello.

CALLER: Hello, Char.

MARGOLIS: Hello.

CALLER: Nice to meet you.

MARGOLIS: It's my pleasure. Thank you for calling in. Do you have somebody -- god, I keep getting "J"s tonight. Is there a "J?"

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is this a male?

CALLER: Yes. MARGOLIS: And in his name is there an "M." Or "N." in it?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: An "M?"

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Like a Jim or a James?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is he deceased?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: He's living. OK, do you live with James?

CALLER: No. My son.

MARGOLIS: Did you? OK, he's your son.

CALLER: Right.

MARGOLIS: Is James married?

CALLER: He was.

MARGOLIS: OK. Are there kids?

CALLER: Two.

MARGOLIS: Two kids. Are you worried about those kids?

CALLER: All the time.

MARGOLIS: Because of the divorce, right?

CALLER: Right.

MARGOLIS: Yes, there's some really dysfunctional stuff going on there.

CALLER: Right.

MARGOLIS: Would James get therapy? Who around them is like either drinks or is into drugs? Is the mother or -- or your son?

CALLER: No, not that I know of.

MARGOLIS: OK. Ok. All I know is that there's some help needed in there. They need some therapy. You know, I'm into -- I'm a big supporter of psychology.

KING: Did you sense drugs? Is that what -- you sensed?

MARGOLIS: I was sensing something with them.

KING: Chesapeake, Ohio, hello.

CALLER: Hello.

KING: Hi.

MARGOLIS: Hi. Do you have someone who's an "R" or a "B?"

CALLER: Yes.

MARGALIS: Which letter?

CALLER: Both.

MARGOLIS: Is it a male "R?"

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: Or a female "R?"

CALLER: Female.

MARGOLIS: Is it spelled R-O?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: Or R-E like Renee?

CALLER: Rebecca.

MARGOLIS: Don't say names. Is that family to you?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is that your daughter or your granddaughter? Who is that?

CALLER: My sister.

MARGOLIS: Oh, it's your sister. OK, I'm not sure -- are you supposed to be seeing her soon?

CALLER: Hmm.

MARGOLIS: Huh?

CALLER: I see her all the time.

MARGOLIS: She lives near you?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: OK, which one of you -- are you worried about her or you with your health?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: Or is someone else?

CALLER: Not that I know of.

MARGOLIS: OK, I'm mixed up about this one. I'm so sorry. Who has the bad leg or limps? A bad leg or foot? Is that you or her?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: OK.

KING: Maybe it's the "B."

MARGOLIS: Oh, yes, maybe it is the "B." Is the "B" a male?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is it "B" with an "R" in it or Bill or Bob?

CALLER: Bill.

MARGOLIS: Bill. Does he have a bad leg or foot?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: OK. I'm not sure what I'm getting. See, some psychic you are, you're not helping me here.

KING: Probably the next call will have a bad foot.

MARGOLIS: OK. Can I just say something, though? Sometimes things like this happen and like two weeks later there's a problem with the leg. Or Bill's on the phone with her now saying, I have a bad leg or foot.

KING: Thunderlock, Wisconsin. Hello.

CALLER: Hi.

KING: Hi. Is there an "E" or an "L" connected with you?

CALLER: Um...

MARGOLIS: Or a Helen?

CALLER: Helen, no.

MARGOLIS: An "E" or "L" or is there an "M?"

CALLER: "M."

MARGOLIS: An "M" or an "A" initial? You have to be open-minded about everyone around you.

CALLER: There's a relative of mine who is "A." MARGOLIS: Is that a female "A?"

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is it A-N?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: Or "A" with an "N" in it?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: I was getting one name was Michael I was getting. There's not a Michael around you, is there?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: OK. And -- but there's a -- you know what? I'm not tuned in to you. I am so sorry.

CALLER: OK.

MARGOLIS: For some reason I'm just not zooming in.

KING: Windsor, Ontario. Hello. Windsor, Ontario. Hello.

CALLER: Hello.

KING: Yes, go ahead.

MARGOLIS: Hi.

CALLER: Hi.

MARGOLIS: Hi. Do you have somebody who's an "A" or "M" initial connected with you?

CALLER: Yes, I do.

MARGOLIS: With an "A" or an "M?"

CALLER: An "M."

MARGOLIS: Is it a female?

CALLER: Yes, it is.

MARGOLIS: Is there an "R" in her name?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Like a Mary or a Margaret?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: OK, is this family to you? CALLER: Yes, she is.

MARGOLIS: Is she living?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is this your daughter or your sister? Who is this?

CALLER: Granddaughter.

MARGOLIS: Your granddaughter. Did she start a new school recently?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: OK. Were they concerned about which school that she was going to?

CALLER: No, I don't think so.

MARGOLIS: OK because I feel that this is a good school for her.

CALLER: It is.

MARGOLIS: And I think that she's very creative, and she's going to do well with this.

CALLER: Good, good.

MARGOLIS: OK, thank you for calling.

KING: Thank you. Charlotte, hello. Charlotte, hello.

CALLER: Yes!

KING: Speak up. Go ahead.

CALLER: Hello.

MARGOLIS: Hi.

CALLER: Hi.

MARGOLIS: OK. Do you have somebody who's a "J?"

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is this a male?

CALLER: A male.

MARGOLIS: OK. Is there a Joe or John?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: Or a common "J" name? CALLER: Jesse.

MARGOLIS: Jesse. OK. And is Jesse living?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: OK. Wow, is there somebody around you that had a farm?

CALLER: Had a farm?

MARGOLIS: Yes.

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: Or is Jesse -- does Jesse work machinery at all?

CALLER: No. Yes, he might. He's in the army.

MARGOLIS: He's in the army. Because I want to be careful of him with machinery. Does he -- is he in a tank or in a -- do you know if he's in an army tank or works with machinery?

CALLER: Yes, he works in special forces in the army.

MARGOLIS: He's got to be really careful around this machinery. And you tell Jesse to trust his intuition.

CALLER: All right.

MARGOLIS: Because he needs to keep himself out of harm's way.

CALLER: OK.

MARGOLIS: And prayer really works.

CALLER: Yes.

CALLER: Prayer and positive thinking really works.

KING: You have to believe to do what you do?

MARGOLIS: You have to -- you have to believe you're intuitive. And you have to trust...

KING: You don't have to believe in God though, do you or do you have to?

MARGOLIS: I believe in God.

KING: You don't have to believe in God.

MARGOLIS: You don't to believe in God to be intuitive, no. You have to believe in your gut feelings and in your thoughts.

KING: Sitka, Alaska. Hello. CALLER: Hi, Char. Hi, Larry.

MARGOLIS: Hi. Do you have somebody who's an "R" Or "B" initial?

CALLER: "R" or "B?"

MARGOLIS: Yes.

CALLER: Yes. A "B."

MARGOLIS: Is that a male "B?"

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: With an "R" in it?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is it B-R?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Like Brian or Bruce?

CALLER: It would be a last name.

MARGOLIS: It's "B" "R," OK. Is he gay?

CALLER: Yes, actually.

MARGOLIS: He is gay?

CALLER: Uh-huh.

MARGOLIS: And are you gay, as well? Or are you trying to figure that out?

CALLER: Probably trying to figure that out. But actually this person is a transsexual.

MARGOLIS: OK. I knew there was some sexual something about him. This is somebody who, he may be fixing his outside but he needs some work on the inside. And I think he's coming to you for help.

CALLER: OK.

MARGOLIS: And I think you will help him. But I think you also need to figure out where you're going with your sexuality. I think that this is stopping you from really growing and being free with your life.

CALLER: OK.

MARGOLIS: And, you know, again, a good therapist wouldn't hurt. Are you in therapy about this?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: OK. You know, it's difficult for people to come out of the closet when they're gay, and especially if you don't know if you are. You've got to figure that out first. But once you do it will free you. And in the truth we're freed.

KING: Years ago when people weren't coming out at all and you would pick up on stuff like that, would you mention it? Would you have said that same thing 20 years ago?

MARGOLIS: God, Larry, I can't remember last year, let alone 20 years ago.

KING: Probably not, right?

MARGOLIS: Probably not.

KING: We'll be right back with Char Margolis. Anything you want to know about books or tapes or anything. It's www.char.net.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

KING: Would you have said that same thing 20 years ago?

MARGOLIS: God, Larry, I can't remember last year, let alone...

KING: Probably not, right?

MARGOLIS: Probably not.

KING: We'll be right back with Char Margolis. Anything you want to know about books or tapes or anything, www.char.net. We bet that's going to be a crowded place tonight. We'll be right back.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

KING: We're back with Char.

We go to Chattanooga, Tennessee. Hello.

CALLER: Hello.

MARGOLIS: Hi. Is there someone around you who's an Annie or Anna?

CALLER: Ann.

MARGOLIS: Ann. Is this family to you?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Who is that?

CALLER: My daughter.

MARGOLIS: Your daughter. And she's living your daughter, right? CALLER: She's what?

MARGOLIS: She's living.

CALLER: Oh, yes.

MARGOLIS: Yes. OK. Has there been a money concern with you or Ann?

CALLER: Yes. With both of us.

MARGOLIS: With both of us. Are you two thinking of living together?

CALLER: We're contemplating it.

MARGOLIS: I think you're going to end up living to the. And it's good for you. Thank you for calling.

KING: Oh. Pretty good.

Birmingham, Alabama. Hello.

CALLER: Hello.

KING: Hi.

MARGOLIS: Hi.

CALLER: Hi.

MARGOLIS: Is there somebody who's a K. or C. connected with you?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: Or an S. or C.?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: OK, think of people living and deceased. No?

CALLER: I'm thinking of one person in particular.

MARGOLIS: No, you've got to be open-minded about everybody. You're trying too hard you're going to mess me up. You're going to make me look like I don't know what I'm doing.

CALLER: OK. All right. A K. or a C.?

MARGOLIS: OK.

Let me move on to something else because your mind's not there. The other thing I was getting is a J.

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is that the one you're looking for?

CALLER: Yes, ma'am.

MARGOLIS: I thought so. Don't say any names. You're too excited. Is this a male J.?

CALLER: Yes, it is.

MARGOLIS: And is he deceased?

CALLER: Yes, he is.

MARGOLIS: In his name is there an O. or an M. in his name?

CALLER: An M.

MARGOLIS: Like a James...

CALLER: That's it. James and he was called Jim.

MARGOLIS: Yes. OK. And you wanted to know if he was around you, right?

CALLER: Yes, ma'am.

MARGOLIS: And you wanted to know if his passing was OK.

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Was he in turmoil? Was he -- did he not believe in the spirit world?

CALLER: Yes, he did.

MARGOLIS: He did believe in it?

CALLER: Yes, he did.

MARGOLIS: For some reason I think that -- I think he's fine and he's around you. But I think it took him a little while to use his energy in the spirit world.

CALLER: About a month.

MARGOLIS: And then did he come see you?

CALLER: I had a dream where I actually talked to him. And I ask him a lot of questions.

MARGOLIS: And tell us what he said.

CALLER: He told me -- I asked him was heaven was beautiful. He said yes. And I told him that -- did his mother and father come to get him. He said, it was his grandmother.

MARGOLIS: Wow, that gives me goosebumps. Do you have goosebumps. That's a psychic detector, whoa.

CALLER: Well, everybody in the family could dream him for about a month, but not me.

MARGOLIS: Wow.

CALLER: But then on that month, I got the big one.

MARGOLIS: Wow.

CALLER: Also, did he send me the snow? Did he send me the snow?

MARGOLIS: I'm sure -- probably. Yes, I'm sure he did.

Are you noticing lights flickering in your home?

CALLER: My kitchen light just did.

MARGOLIS: Just this second?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: That's him, that's him.

CALLER: So, he's OK?

MARGOLIS: Yes. And I think it's the snow. Someone is shaking their head yes. Yes. He's super. When you pass over, he'll be there to greet you, baby.

CALLER: That was my question.

MARGOLIS: Yes.

CALLER: Is my mom going to be OK? She's having such a time.

MARGOLIS: Yes. You know, he's saying yes. There's just some health problems with it. It's going to take -- you just have to keep an eye on her.

You know what, it's not about predicting the future, it's about the choices we make along the way. So it's really important to just be logical. Use common sense, use logic. And take of her.

KING: Tuscon, Arizona. Hello.

CALLER: Hello.

MARGOLIS: Hi.

CALLER: Hi.

MARGOLIS: Is there somebody around you who is a T? A T?

CALLER: Yes. MARGOLIS: A male T?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: A Thomas or Tim?

CALLER: Tom.

MARGOLIS: Tom?

Who is that?

CALLER: He's a detective that's taking over...

MARGOLIS: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Is it -- was there a murder?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is it your sister that you were going say?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: I knew that.

Tom's going to help you out, but there are people who aren't being honest about this case.

CALLER: Oh.

MARGOLIS: There's some people who aren't telling the truth about this.

Do you have an idea who might have done this?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Yes. I think -- I think that -- that -- is it a male, who you think did it?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is there an R. or a D. in his name, or R. or B. in his name? In the first or last name?

CALLER: There's an R, I believe.

MARGOLIS: Where, in the last name or first name?

CALLER: In the last name.

MARGOLIS: OK. I'm mixed up. I don't know the name. I'm not sure...

Is there an M or N in this?

CALLER: An M? Yes, in the last name also?

MARGOLIS: Starts with M?

CALLER: No.

KING: Tom, the detective?

MARGOLIS: OK. All I know is that Tom is going to help you figure this out. And there's some trickster energies not -- and that's why I'm not picking up on this exactly. And there's also a J. Somebody involved with a J.

CALLER: That's the person.

MARGOLIS: OK, wait a minute. Is it a male, J?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: OK. In his name, is there an O in that name?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: A Joe, or John?

CALLER: John!

MARGOLIS: And is that who you think did it?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: OK. Well, you tell Tom that he's got to find more evidence. The problem with this case is going to be him finding the evidence to convict this guy.

KING: And lock your door in case John's watching and he's coming over.

MARGOLIS: Well, he doesn't know who she is.

KING: Well...

MARGOLIS: I'm going to lock my doors.

(LAUGHTER)

KING: You're on a roll, Char.

MARGOLIS: Why, thank you.

KING: We'll be right back with our remaining moments. Get to some more phone calls. Don't go away.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

KING: El Paso, Texas, hello.

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Hi.

CALLER: Hi.

MARGOLIS: Is there somebody around you who's an L.?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is that a female L.?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: And in her name is there an N. or an R.? In it?

CALLER: In it? No.

MARGOLIS: Is there an S. in it?

CALLER: S.?

MARGOLIS: Yeah. Is it a Lee?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: OK. I don't know this name. But it starts with L., it's a first name, right?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Is it a Loni? I don't know the name.

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: OK. Is this family to you, this L.?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Oh, man. I don't know what I'm getting with this. Can I -- I need to get something else with you. Is there also somebody who's a J. or an M. connected with you?

CALLER: An M.

MARGOLIS: Is that a female?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: Is there a Mike? A Michael or a Mark?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: But is it M-A?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Matthew? I don't know. M-A-R.

CALLER: M-A-R, yes.

MARGOLIS: Like Martin or Marvin or Mark or Martin?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: I don't know. Marco? I don't know the name.

CALLER: Mario.

MARGOLIS: Mario. OK. Is that a romance?

CALLER: Yeah.

MARGOLIS: Mario?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Have you had problems with Mario?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Are you guys breaking up?

CALLER: We might.

MARGOLIS: Did you think he had cheated on you?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: I think he did.

KING: Probably with an L.

MARGOLIS: You think with the L.? I don't think it's the L., Larry. Keep your day job, Larry.

KING: Yeah, yeah.

MARGOLIS: It's...

CALLER: Yeah.

MARGOLIS: It's -- no. Don't listen to Larry.

CALLER: No. The person I thought it was starts with an L.

MARGOLIS: Oh, my God! You are psychic. See what I mean? Oh, my God.

KING: Dump him!

MARGOLIS: Dump him. He's right. You know what? Now you're being psychic and you don't even -- you're being intuitive. That's your intuition kicking in. CALLER: Is there a marriage with him?

KING: No. You're going to marry a guy named Herman.

(CROSSTALK)

MARGOLIS: If you marry a guy named Herman, would you please call me and I'm quitting my job? We're going to trade spaces here.

KING: I don't see a marriage, but Char, do you see a marriage?

MARGOLIS: No, I'm telling you right know, no, I think there's going to be problems with...

KING: This is a good job.

MARGOLIS: I think there's going to be problems with Mario and this woman. But it's all about sex right now. You've got to get -- you need to break off with this man. He's not being honest with you.

KING: That ain't a bad thing, though, to be all about.

MARGOLIS: You know, you'll meet somebody else. You will. You'll meet someone else. You just have to be positive about it. All right?

KING: Alexandria, Kentucky, hello.

MARGOLIS: You're hanging up on all these poor people who need help.

KING: I'm not hanging up, I'm moving. Alexandria, Kentucky. Hello.

CALLER: Hello.

KING: Go ahead.

MARGOLIS: Hello.

CALLER: Hello?

MARGOLIS: Hi. Do you have somebody who's a J.? Or G. initial connected with you?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Which letter, a J.?

CALLER: J.

MARGOLIS: Is that a female or a male J.?

CALLER: Male.

MARGOLIS: Is there a J. with an N. in it or an M.? CALLER: N.

MARGOLIS: Like a John?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Who is that?

CALLER: A son.

MARGOLIS: Your son?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: OK. Is there also someone deceased who was a John? Like...

CALLER: Well, I have a grandfather that was a John.

MARGOLIS: I think his spirit's around you. There's been somebody around me who owned a farm. Did he have a farm?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: OK. You don't -- you're not around a farm, are you?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: There's somebody been around me this whole time.

CALLER: John, the son is on a farm.

MARGOLIS: He lives on a farm! OK.

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: OK. OK. That's why I'm seeing somebody on a farm. You know what? I don't know why I'm picking up on him exactly. But I think that -- does he work on the farm?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: OK. All I know is that this place is good for him. Wherever he's living on this farm is a really good place for him.

CALLER: Oh, OK.

MARGOLIS: OK? Thank you for calling.

KING: Thank you. Overland Park, Kansas. Hello.

CALLER: Hello there.

MARGOLIS: Hi. OK, is there somebody who's an R. or B. with you?

CALLER: B. as in boy. MARGOLIS: Yes. Is that a male B.?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: And in his name, is there an R. in it?

CALLER: I've got two.

MARGOLIS: Is there one with an R. in it?

CALLER: Both of them.

MARGOLIS: OK, is it B-R? Is it spelled B-R?

CALLER: OK, I've got a B-R.

MARGOLIS: Is that a Brian or Brad?

CALLER: Brad.

MARGOLIS: Brad. Is that your son?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: OK. And there's another B.?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: And is that -- is there an L. in that name?

CALLER: There is.

MARGOLIS: Bill?

CALLER: Blair.

MARGOLIS: Bill -- Blair. OK, is that your other son?

CALLER: It is.

MARGOLIS: OK.

KING: Wow, you got both of them.

MARGOLIS: Is there any -- is there any family business? Or have they ever ...

CALLER: Their father.

MARGOLIS: Their father has a business?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: And are these kids too young to work for him?

CALLER: Not ready to. MARGOLIS: Not ready to. I think they're going to end up working for him. Are you with the father?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: You're divorced from him?

CALLER: I am.

MARGOLIS: I think that they're going to end up working with their dad.

CALLER: Good.

MARGOLIS: And I think they should.

CALLER: I do, too.

MARGOLIS: And I think he should give you a little more money, don't you?

CALLER: I don't get any, so yeah.

MARGOLIS: Yeah, I could tell. He didn't help you very much, did he, in this divorce?

CALLER: No, no.

MARGOLIS: But you know what? I can tell you're a good heart.

CALLER: Thank you.

MARGOLIS: You believe in your own intuition, don't you?

CALLER: I think positive.

MARGOLIS: Yep. And that's good. Thank you so much for calling.

KING: All right, Last caller. We only got 40 seconds. Boston, hello.

CALLER: Yes, hello.

KING: Hi.

MARGOLIS: Hi. Is there somebody who's an M.? An M. or A. connected with you?

CALLER: M.?

MARGOLIS: Yes.

CALLER: Not that I can think of. Well, yes, yes, an M.

MARGOLIS: Is it M-A?

CALLER: No.

MARGOLIS: Is it spelled M-A or M-I?

KING: We're almost out of time.

MARGOLIS: Is there a Myrtle or Mildred?

CALLER: Yes.

MARGOLIS: Myrtle?

CALLER: Mercy.

MARGOLIS: Is she deceased?

CALLER: The aunt, yes.

MARGOLIS: Yes. Her spirit is with you watching over you. You take good care, I'm so sorry we've got to go.
