THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

A.J. HAMMER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT ANCHOR: I want you to take a look at this frightening photo, the daughter of a huge star battling a very serious eating disorder. And body image and rehab, is Hollywood falling apart? Are we just too obsessed with weight and star rehab stories?
I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. TV`s most provocative entertainment news show starts right now.

On SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, a shocking arrest. An explosive celebrity split. Country star Wynonna Judd`s husband arrested on sex charges. Tonight, why a devastated Wynonna wasted no time in ditching her man.

Plus, his starting rehab connection to Wynonna`s sister, Ashley. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the unbelievable sex and divorce scandal.

Tonight, what was Anna Nicole Smith`s son so afraid of that made him go see a private investigator?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I think it could be Stern. He hated Stern. He said that Stern hated him, and Stern tried to get him out of the picture.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT goes one on one with the private eye Daniel shared his deepest, darkest fears with just before his mysterious death.

Plus, Howard K. Stern`s lawyer right here, one on one, as SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dares to ask the question, is Stern getting a bad rap?

Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Tonight, only SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is going one on one with Howard K. Stern`s attorney, who insists that Anna Nicole Smith`s former companion is being ripped into unfairly and getting a bad rap.

Plus, the shocking news that the daughter of a major fashion designer is battling a very serious eating disorder.

But first tonight, Wynonna Judd`s husband, arrested for what he allegedly did to a child under the age of 13. These are startling charges that have turned country star`s world upside down. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the inside story of what happened and the bombshell move Wynonna made when she found out.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

WYNONNA JUDD, SINGER: I got to see the spiritual person, not just the worker in a suit, and I fell in love with him.

HAMMER (voice-over): We often saw country singer Wynonna Judd singing the praises of her husband, Dan R. Roach, who had spent more than a decade as her body guard before they fell in love and married in 2003.

JUDD: He has been there 12 years, the ups and the downs.

LARRY KING, CNN ANCHOR: And he was your bodyguard, like the Whitney Houston movie?

HAMMER: But this love story has taken a horrifying turn.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Singer Wynonna Judd is seeking a divorce after her husband was arrested last week.

HAMMER: Wynonna`s love story ending on a sickening note. Her husband is under arrest in Texas, charged with three counts of sexual battery involving a child under 13, a charge so horrifying, it may have dealt a fatal blow to Wynonna`s marriage.

HARVEY LEVIN, TMZ.COM: In terms of marriages, that is what you call a buzz kill.

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has the latest on this disturbing arrest and how Wynonna and her famous family are dealing with this latest difficulty. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can show you Wynonna Judd`s divorce filing, which right here cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. It was filed just days after Roach was arrested in Texas as part of a month long investigation by Nashville`s sex crimes unit.

LEVIN: It is more complicated than just the divorce filing. She separated from him on February 18th. And we know that this investigation got rolling in February as well. So, it sounds as if she got wind of something that was going on, with respect to the early stages of this investigation, and then left him. And when the charges ended up surfacing publicly, that`s when she filed.

HAMMER: Now, here`s where the story gets interesting. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you, at the time of his arrest, Roach was getting help at the very same Texas rehab center that Wynonna and her sister, actress Ashley Judd, had previously sought treatment. Ashley told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT about what led her to seek help.

ASHLEY JUDD, ACTRESS: I call at the curse of the competent woman. I can get a lot done between when I get out of bed and when I go to bed. But what I realize now is that that human doing is not where my happiness comes from. It`s the quality of my human being, and that`s what my program of recovery has given me.

HAMMER: And Wynonna told Larry King Live about the food addiction she needed help controlling.

W. JUDD: Food, to me is, what alcohol is to the alcoholic and the struggle`s up and down.

HAMMER: Wynonna`s up and down career has been on an upswing. On her own and with her singing mother, Naomi, Wynonna has sold 30 million albums, a successful recovery from a DUI arrest back in 2003.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You`re under arrest for DUI.

HAMMER: An arrest, ironically, that followed a night of her celebrating her upcoming marriage to Roach. Plus, Wynonna recently told me she and her famous family are making great strides in strengthening their own comples relationship.

W. JUDD: We`re three alpha females. You know, can you imagine Thanksgiving dinner around our supper table? So much passion, so many opinions. I`m glad to say we`re doing better than ever.

HAMMER (on camera): So, is it safe to say, you are feeling good now? Because this all sounds good, but are you feeling good?

W. JUDD: I am so full of myself. I`m so full of myself, you better watch out. But it`s not arrogance. It`s a confidence. When you give birth to two children, you can do anything. When you`ve survived a divorce and you get remarried and you`re a miracle and god gives you a second chance, you can do anything.

HAMMER (voice-over): And with that marriage apparently over and her husband in serious trouble, Judd is now leaning on her family for support. In a statement to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT she says, quote, "I am obviously devastated. Our family will pull together, begin the healing process, and, hopefully, by the grace of god, become stronger." That`s the kind of strength she will need in this difficult time.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Dan roach is expected to be extradited to Nashville.

Well tonight, two big dramas surround Howard K. Stern, the guy who was Anna Nicole Smith`s companion and lawyer, and who insists that he is the father of Anna`s baby, Dannielynn. Only SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has Stern`s attorney right here to set things straight. Now, we`re awaiting DNA results to see if those DNA test prove Stern`s claim. And Stern is also expected to testify at the Bohemian inquest into the mysterious death of Anna Nicole`s son Daniel, which has just gotten under way in the Bahamas.

With us tonight from Miami Beach, Florida is Stern`s attorney, Lilly Ann Sanchez. Lily, I appreciate you being with us tonight.

LILLY ANN SANCHEZ, LAWYER FOR HOWARD K. STERN: Hi, good evening, A.J.

HAMMER: So after the autopsy results were just released, and they showed that Anna Nicole died of an accidental overdose, we saw you hold this news conference where you really took on everybody who has possibly suggest that Howard had anything to do with Anna Nicole`s death. Why do you think Howard has been getting such a bad rap?

SANCHEZ: I think Howard has been getting a bad rap because there are individuals out there with their own agenda and lawsuits against Howard and they decided to take this moment to advance their personal agendas. And the way that they did it was to try to attack Howard, and the media took these baseless assertions and ran with it. And then the story just took its own -- legs of its own.

HAMMER: Well, one of the assertions that`s been made -- this was made on an official level by the coroner, Dr. Joshua Perper, who released the autopsy results. He said Anna Nicole might possibly be alive today, had she gotten to the hospital. There are those who have suggested that the people around her, which include, of course, Howard K. Stern, could have done more to force her to go to the hospital. Is that unfair?

SANCHEZ: I think it is unfair, because you have to understand that on that Monday evening, on February 5th, when they arrived at the Hard Rock and she had the 105 fever, she was there, along with Howard, with her doctor, Dr. Christina Rosovich (ph) and the body guard, Mo. Mo happens to be a paramedic. His wife is a registered nurse. I mean, there was medical individuals there that were caring for her.

They wanted her to go to the hospital. They requested that she go to the hospital and she adamantly refused. She refused because Anna did not like hospitals. She did not like the media frenzy that surrounded her when she went to the hospital. Moreover, you all have to remember that six months before, when she was in the hospital for the birth of her child, something that was supposed to be a very special and happy time for her, she lost her son in that hospital room. And one can understand her adversity to going to the hospital.

HAMMER: Oh, yes, certainly. That is fair enough. I guess we can just look back on it with hindsight now, saying it`s just a shame.

SANCHEZ: Correct.

HAMMER: Next week, of course, we`re hoping that the results of that DNA test are done on baby Dannielynn, and they will be released, and we`ll finally know for certain who, in fact, is the father. Do you, Howard K. Stern`s attorney, have any doubts whatsoever that Howard K. Stern is the father of the child.

SANCHEZ: I have no doubts that Howard K. Stern is the legal father of the child. Unfortunately, as much as I would like to talk to you guys about those paternity proceedings in the Bahamas, there`s a gag order in place by the Bohemian court and I can`t comment on it any further.

HAMMER: I understand, but you`re saying the legal father. And by Bohemian law, the legal father is the person who is on the birth certificate, not necessarily the biological father, that`s who I`m talking about, whether or not you believe he is the biological father.

SANCHEZ: I believe that Howard K. Stern is the father of Dannielynn. It is the person who is on the birth certificate.

HAMMER: I can`t get you to use the word biological, can I, Lilly?

SANCHEZ: I cannot speak to the paternity. I don`t want to step into the paternity area because of the gag order in the Bahamas.

HAMMER: Do you know, if this falls outside that gag order, will Howard fight the release of the DNA results?

SANCHEZ: I believe Howard loves his daughter and he is going to fight. At the end of the day, you have to remember that biology does not equal custody, in the Bahamas or in the United States.

HAMMER: But in terms of who is the biological father, which really is the first step in moving this forward, I`ve got to ask, if he really has nothing to hide and really believes he is the biological father, which he has stated that he is, why does he keep on fighting this, Lilly?

SANCHEZ: He`s not. The only people that are fighting is not Howard. It`s Larry Birkhead and other individuals that are claiming things that aren`t so. They`re the ones that have papers that have been filed in court. They`re the ones that are trying to create an issue where there is none. It is not my client. He hasn`t filed anything. He wouldn`t even be in court if it weren`t because he has to respond to these lawsuits.

HAMMER: In that case, let me ask you quickly, because Howard is expected to testify in the Bahamas in the inquest into Daniel`s death and how he died; how do you expect he`s going to respond to the allegations that reportedly are being made that he somehow had something to do with Daniel`s death?

SANCHEZ: I think he`s going to respond as he has responded all this time, both with Dr. Perper, with the Seminole Police Department. He`s going to respond honestly and cooperatively. He has nothing to hide. My client has never had anything to hide. That`s why we gave Dr. Perper and the Seminoles access to many, many documents and computers that they wouldn`t have had necessarily have access to, except for us.

And from the onset, Howard said to me, whatever they need. He is the number one person who wanted to know what happened to Anna and, second to that, he wants to know what happened to Daniel.

HAMMER: Lilly, I`m out of time. I do appreciate your taking some time with us tonight. Lilly Ann Sanchez, Howard K. Stern`s attorney, thanks again.

SANCHEZ: Thank you.

HAMMER: Well, we`ve also got this startling question to ask tonight, what was Anna Nicole Smith`s son, Daniel, so afraid of that made him seek out a private investigator?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: He hated Stern. He said that Stern hated him. And Stern tried to get him out of the picture.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT going one on one with the P.I. Daniel shared his deepest darkest fears with and why he think a crime might have been committed in Daniels` death.

Look at this frightening photo. The daughter of a huge fashion star battling a serious eating disorder. I`ve go to ask, did growing up around people obsessed with their weight make her anorexic? That`s next.

Also, Jessica Simpson`s visit to an orphanage. Is she taking a little page out of Angelina Jolie`s playbook here, and about to adopt a kid? We`ll tell you, coming up next.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Tonight, a world famous fashion family battling a deadly eating disorder. Donatella Versace opens up to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT about her daughter Allegra`s frightening fight with anorexia. She is definitely not along.

According to the National Eating Disorder Association, more than 11 million U.S. men and women are in a life and death struggle with anorexia and bulimia. The question tonight, will Allegra`s anorexia put the fashion world under fire again?

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER (voice-over): Look closely at this 20-year-old, stick thin, a size 0 at best. This is Allegra Versace, yes, Versace. She` the heiress to the multi-million dollar Versace fashion line and the only daughter of Donatella Versace. After years of rumors, her parents are now confirming to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that Allegra, whose name means happy in Italian, has been suffering from a terrible eating disorder; "Our daughter Allegra has been battling anorexia, a very serious disease, for many years."

Donatella and her estranged husband, Paul Beck, also tell us, quote, "she`s receiving the best medical care possible to help overcome the illness, and is responding well."

BEN WIDDICOMBE, "NEW YORK DAILY NEWS": There`s an enormous amount of glamour in the Versace lifestyle. That`s what they say on the ads. So, there must be tremendous pressure to conform, to be beautiful, to be skinny when you`re surrounded by that kind of beautiful opulence.

MICHELLE LEE RIBEIRO, DEPUTY EDITOR, "COSMOGIRL": You can`t ignore the fact that she`s been around fashion and super models her whole life and she saw women that were super skinny.

HAMMER: Allegra Versace`s battle with anorexia is the latest tragedy to hit the world famous family. Her uncle, Johnny Versace, was gunned down in broad daylight by a crazed serial killer outside his Miami mansion in 1997.

WIDDICOMBE: Allegra was the apple of Johnny`s eye. She was his favorite niece, his favorite relative and that was reflected in the will, because she was left the majority stake in the Versace company.

HAMMER: Allegra inherited a majority stake in the fashion house when she turned 18. Her mother controls 20 percent of the business, taking over as designer when Johnny was murdered. But Donatella has had her fair share of problems too, admitting she was addicted to cocaine, something Ben Widdicombe of the "New York Daily News" thinks contributed to Allegra`s eating issues.

WIDDICOMBE: Allegra was having trouble coming to terms with her own anorexia, given that her mother was using cocaine to stay skinny, essentially. So there was a sense that Allegra wasn`t in the environment that was going to make her well.

HAMMER: These pictures SHOWBIZ TONIGHT obtained of Allegra, her face gaunt and her bones clearly visible, could very well spark a new debate on super skinny models, models that have walked the cat walk for her very own company, Versace.

WIDDICOMBE: Allegra`s own struggle with anorexia is bringing that to the floor again. Hopefully, Allegra`s struggle, given that she`s on the business side of one of the most recognizable fashion brand names in the world, maybe things will start to change now.

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you Allegra Versace is not the only celebrity daughter to suffer from anorexia. Olivia Newton-John recently revealed that her daughter, Chloe, suffered from the disease for two years. Lionel Richie`s daughter, Nicole, has made headlines for her battle with her weight.

And then there`s famed designer Bradley Bayou`s daughter Alexis. Bayou sky rocketed to fashion`s A-list dressing curvy stars like Oprah Winfrey and Queen Latifa. But watch as he tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Brooke Anderson how shocking it was to discover his own daughter was quietly suffering from bulimia.

BRADLEY BAYOU, DESIGNER: I live in a world that is consumed by eating disorders, obviously, especially as models have gotten skinnier and skinnier. And I was completely taken off guard when my youngest daughter called me and told me that Alexis basically had collapsed. And it was a major shock to me, because, of all people in the world, you don`t think it`s right in your backyard.

HAMMER: Alexis says the pressure of feeling like she had to fit in her father`s fashion world led to bulimia and diet pills.

ALEXIS BAYOU, SUFFERED FROM BULIMIA: I always thought to fit into the fashion world, to fit into my dad`s kind of glamorous world, I needed to lose 20 pounds, be able to fit in these tiny clothes, which just was not realistic for my body.

HAMMER: Being realistic is what Donatella Versace is now doing, saying she`s doing everything in her power to help her daughter; "we want to let everyone know that we appreciate their concern for Allegra and we ask that her privacy be respected at this time."

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: We just can`t seem to hear enough about stars struggling with their weight or stories of celebs in and out of rehab? So, is Hollywood really such a mess, or are we just too obsessed with all this stuff? We`ve got a special look at anorexia and rehab. That`s coming up at 41 past the hour.

Another star visiting an orphanage. But this one is not picking up a kid, she`s giving away a brand new car. Yes, that`s right. It`s Jessica Simpson making a surprise visit to the Elim (ph) orphanage in Mexico, just over the border from Laredo, Texas. This beauty, the one with four wheels, is a brand new Chrysler minivan. Jessica actually won a sexy sports car at the MTV Video Music Awards this past fall, but the orphanage`s director says that Jessica traded the 50,000 dollar hot rod in for the soccer mom mobile so she could give it to them.

Hey, if you`re going to re-gift, Jessica, that is the way to do it. Well, to the best of my knowledge, Jessica Simpson hasn`t kissed any female stars. You never know. But tonight, I`ve got the tape of two star female friends becoming friend with benefits. That`s up next.

And we love celebrity hook-ups certainly, but we also just can`t seem to hear enough about stars in rehab or struggling with their weight. Is Hollywood really such a mess or are we just too obsessed with all this stuff? That`s coming up.

Also this --

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: He hated Stern. He said that Stern hated him. And Stern tried to get him out of the picture.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: What was Anna Nicole Smith`s son so afraid of that made him see a private investigator? I`ll go one on one with the P.I. that Daniel shared his deepest, darkest fears with, and why he thinks a crime was committed in Daniel`s death.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Speaking of provocative, the shocking moment that everybody has been talking about has finally happened. Two friends, shall we say, took it to the next level? Take a look.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JENNIFER ANISTON, ACTRESS: I would put it in writing if I thought that would make a difference, but I know that that won`t, so --

COURTNEY COX, ACTRESS: Thank you for lunch.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Wow. Yes, that is former "Friends" star and real-life friends Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox doing a little butt grabbing and a little lip locking. We caught this on last night`s season finale of the FX show "Dirt," where Cox plays a high-powered editor of celebrity tabloid magazine. Aniston is her lesbian rival and might be after Courtney`s job. You can bet, if Joey from "Friends" saw this right now, he`d be saying, how you doing?

That was a pretty good Joey impersonation, right guys? Yes, not so bad.

Coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, a star who certainly loves to dish dirt on celebs, and even on herself. I`m a big fan of Monique. She`s very funny and she`s going to be right here, talking about body image and how she`s trying to get prison inmates to crack a smile. That`s coming up.

Also, we can`t seem to hear enough about stars freaking out over their weight or maybe going in and out of any kind of rehab. Is Hollywood really such a mess? We`ll look into that coming up.

We`ve also got this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: He hated Stern. He said that Stern hated him. And Stern tried to get him out of the picture.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: We are asking the explosive question; what was Anna Nicole Smith`s son so afraid of that made him go to a private investigator? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is going one on one with that P.I. Why he thinks a crime may have been committed in Daniel`s death. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is coming right back.

(NEWS BREAK)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. You are watching TV`s most provocative entertainment news show.

All right. Well, at one point, their careers went down the drain. They disappeared. But now they are back. We`re calling them the "Comeback Kings of Hollywood," and we will have them for you straight ahead in just minutes.

Also, as part of SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s continuing coverage of stars who make their relationships work, we`re going to focus on celebrities who survived heartache, who bounced back and started over with a fresh start, with new relationships, and lessons that we can learn from them. That`s straight ahead.

But first tonight, the never-ending strange and unexpected turns in the investigation into Anna Nicole Smith`s death continue. Today, a new shocker involving the doctor who was prescribing methadone to Anna Nicole while she was pregnant.

His name is Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, and today the Medical Board of California confirmed that Dr. Kapoor is under investigation in connection with the Smith case. But adding to the mystery, they wouldn`t say why.

And get this: the coroner who will ultimately decide what killed Anna Nicole revealed today Dr. Kapoor is the only person who`s refused to talk to him during his investigation.

All right. With me tonight from New York, investigative journalist Jane Velez-Mitchell. She`s also the author of the soon-to-be - be-released book, "Secrets Can Be Murder." There it is right there.

Jane, good to see you.

JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL, INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST: Good to see you, Brooke.

ANDERSON: All right. This gets even more mysterious as - you know, if we thought it could get crazier.

But what could Dr. Kapoor possibly be hiding here?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, he insists, and his attorney insists, he has done everything by the book. But his relationship with Anna Nicole Smith was unconventional to say the very least.

I have never personally gone dancing or cavorting or partying with any doctor who has ever treated me. I think I speak for the vast majority of Americans. And yet there are images of him partying it up with Anna Nicole Smith. Problem number one.

ANDERSON: Pictures - pictures of him kissing her, carrying on a - carrying on.

Now this isn`t common with a doctor who`s prescribing medication to someone who`s pregnant, is it?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Especially something as serious as methadone. Methadone is a very serious drug. Doctors say it`s generally used to treat heroin addiction and severe pain.

The big question: did Anna Nicole Smith have a legitimate medical reason for getting methadone, which was prescribed via an alias by the way, especially during her pregnancy? Or was it that she was using it recreationally?

And let`s not forget that her son, Daniel, who died with seven drugs in his system - one of them was methadone. Nobody knows how he got that methadone, but he was in the hospital room with Anna Nicole Smith.

ANDERSON: You`re right about that.

And Jane, we reached out to Dr. Kapoor today. And I want to read you what his attorney told us in a statement on his behalf: "Dr. Kapoor has been appropriately cautious about protecting the confidentiality of Anna Nicole Smith`s medical treatment. It`s apparent that such caution is justified when the Broward County medical examiner makes public statements about a supposedly confidential investigation."

All right. A little bit of lashing out there against Dr. Perper (ph).

Do you buy it, Jane? The patient-confidentiality thing? I mean, they do need to figure this thing out.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, I personally don`t buy that, because I`ve interviewed Dr. Perper and he`s extremely professional. And he says a lot, but he doesn`t reveal anything that he`s not supposed to reveal.

A perfect example: he is not revealing the final results of his autopsy for two more weeks, to give him more chance to study new evidence that has just come in on the Anna Nicole Smith case.

ANDERSON: Yes, and speaking of that, he wants to take a look at Anna Nicole`s computer.

You know, today we learned - CNN learned that police who are investigating the death revealed that they`re seeking additional information in the case. They might need a court order to obtain that additional information.

But yes, Dr. Perper wants to take a look at the computer. Now what can you possibly find on that computer that he needs, and could these two things be related?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: They absolutely could be related.

You know, Brooke, the key to understanding any of these tragic cases is looking deep down, finding the toxic secrets, and then examining them for their significance to the key players. The treasure trove of secrets is invariably the diary and the personal computer.

The diary is where you go to reveal all the thoughts you can`t say to anybody else. Anna Nicole Smith undoubtedly would have written about the death of her son, her feelings about that, who she felt was responsible. Maybe she blames someone else, but maybe she blamed herself. Maybe she expressed suicidal thoughts. We don`t know.

As for the personal computer, that`s where you go to do the investigations and to check out things you don`t want anybody else to know that you`re checking out, which is why so often in crimes we find porn that pops up on the computer. So was she sending e-mails to anyone of significance?

The other big issue, of course: paternity. Did she say anything in these diaries or in the computer that would reveal the real father? We don`t know.

What about her relationship with Howard K. Stern? Were they fighting, or were they amicable? All of this could come out. This could be the bombshell that reveals all the stuff we`ve been waiting for.

ANDERSON: In terms of the nature of her death. Maybe not necessarily the cause of her death by Dr. Perper.

But I - I want to ask you this: during the court hearing, in the battle over who would get to bury Anna Nicole, there was testimony that Anna Nicole told the son of the owner of the house where she was staying in the Bahamas that if anything ever happened her, make sure that computer, the diaries, those sorts of things are protected. The police have collected those items.

Jane, do you think they`re going to find what they`re looking for, and that it could finally resolve what we`re - we`re talking about here, the investigation into her death?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, I hope so.

These are the fundamental question that seem to mesmerizing the entire world: why did she die?; why did Daniel die; who is the real father of little Dannielynn? And I think if it`s going to be anywhere, it`s going to be in her private diary.

ANDERSON: Still, more questions than answers at this point.

All right. Jane Velez-Mitchell, as always, thank you so much.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Thank you, Brooke.

ANDERSON: And we`ve been asking you to vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT "Question of the Day." It is this: "Anna Nicole Smith`s Death: Do you think foul play was involved?"

The vote so far is split exactly down the middle: 50 percent of you say "yes"; 50 percent "no."

Here are some of the e-mails we received:

Connie from Florida says, "There was foul play in Anna`s death. I believe that Howard knows more than he is telling."

And Sheneice from Texas thinks, "There was no foul play in Anna`s death. Howard is a good man. Everybody just wants to think the negative."

Keep voting, cnn.com/showbiztonight. And send us an e-mail, showbiztonight@cnn.com.

When it`s over, it`s really over. Or is it the time Hollywood falls in love again? Hmm. There`s a tune in there, right? The lessons stars have learned from Hollywood heartache, and making it work.

We`ll also have this:

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TOM O`NEIL, "IN TOUCH" WEEKLY: Alec Baldwin`s divorce and custody battle were so nasty and so expensive -- $1 million he spent fighting that case - it overshadowed his career.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Their careers went kaput. They disappeared. So what happened? What deal with the devil did they make to come back on top as king? That`s coming up.

And we`ve heard of women jumping through hoops. But jumping to make a hoop? "That`s Ridiculous!," and that`s coming up. Stay with us.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Let`s get ready for "Video of the Day" after the break.

Master, roll your break, and effect black now.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Pre-set 7. Stand by, Brooke. Open her mike. And dissolve 7, go.

ANDERSON: Thank you, Charles (ph).

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.

Time now for the "Video of the Day." Take a look at this. These cheerleaders are proving they can do more than just shout cheers. Uh huh. The Orlando Magic cheerleaders got out there last night in Chicago and started dunking trampolines. It made us send the men on the staff scurrying for details on this troop - hours, hours of painstaking research they did.

Well, they`re called the "dunking dancers." This is the third season that they`ve done this. And they play the Houston Rockets on Sunday. You can already hear the studio crew snickering with dirty thoughts with that one.

We`ve heard of jumping through hoops. But jumping on trampolines to make a hoop? Oy, well that is our "Video of the Day."

No trampolines needed for celebrities who need to jump-start their careers. Get ready for a Hollywood secret SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is about to reveal. In Hollywood, it takes strength, endurance and probably one good role to make it back into the Hollywood royalty scene after your career has gone kaput.

But add a good comeback story to that equation, and there`s your next Hollywood king.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON (voice-over): Alec Baldwin, Eddie Murphy, Patrick Dempsey and John Stamos. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you these four talented actors have one thing in common: their careers at one time hit a bump in the road.

For Alec Baldwin, that bump became a roadblock when his marriage to Kim Basinger came to a dramatic and very ugly end.

O`NEIL: Alec Baldwin`s divorce and custody battle were so nasty and so expensive -- $1 million he spent fighting that case - it overshadowed his career.

ANDERSON: But in Hollywood, all it takes is a role in a hit TV show.

BALDWIN: I`m the new vice president of East Coast Television and Microwave Oven Programming.

ANDERSON: Like "30 Rock." Two major awards for that role and a supporting role in this year`s biggest Oscar hit, "The Departed."

BALDWIN: You`d miss a lot less if you made your informants available to us.

ANDERSON: To make Alec a comeback king.

O`NEIL: Alec Baldwin was able to make a career comeback because he took a gamble on accepting supporting roles in movies like "The Departed," and nasty roles like - like that hilarious boss in "30 Rock." Earlier in his career, he would never have done that.

EDDIE MURPHY, COMEDIAN: It`s a whole new day, Marty. And a brand new Jimmy.

ANDERSON: And then there`s Eddie Murphy, and his Oscar-nominated role in "Dreamgirls."

O`NEIL: Eddie Murphy was once the biggest star in the world.

ANDERSON: Eddie Murphy wore the Hollywood crown as far back as 1988 in the hit movie "Coming to America."

MURPHY: Anything I say you do?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes, your highness.

MURPHY: Bark like a dog.

ANDERSON: In the 80s, nothing could stop Eddie. From comedian to movie star, his laugh-out-loud performances got him two Golden Globe nominations for "Beverly Hills Cop" and "Trading Places."

But then suddenly, it seemed his career went "poof."

O`NEIL: A studio executive said, `Look, he`s overpaid. His movies underperform. And nobody likes him.`

ANDERSON: It took 10 years, some not-so-successful movies, and eventually a divorce for his comeback to come full circle. Starting with grabbing the role of James "Thunder" Early in "Dreamgirls."

(SINGING)

O`NEIL: Eddie Murphy has managed to come back as a cool cat because he accepted a supporting role as a drug-addicted showbiz failure in "Dreamgirls."

ANDERSON: Those pipes won him the best supporting actor Golden Globe.

MURPHY: Thank you all.

ANDERSON: .and his first Oscar nomination. That`s got comeback king written all over it.

PATRICK DEMPSEY, ACTOR: Come on, have a drink.

ANDERSON: And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has another king for you: Patrick Dempsey, aka "Grey`s Anatomy"`s Dr. McDreamy. There`s nothing like a hit medical drama to put the heartbeat back into not one, but two careers.

First up..

DEMPSEY: Do you love her?

ANDERSON: Ah, McDreamy. To think he started his career 20 years ago playing a nerd..

DEMPSEY: Wouldn`t you like to be popular?

ANDERSON: ..in "Can`t Buy Me Love." But then - well, it seems Patrick just disappeared.

Fast forward to March 2005, when he joined SHOWBIZ TONIGHT as "Grey`s" hits the airwaves and No. 1 in the ratings.

DEMPSEY: Yes, it will - the relationship will continue on.

O`NEIL: Now he`s a superstar 20 years later as Dr. McDreamy. That is the perfect Hollywood fable, and the perfect payoff for endurance and faith in yourself.

ANDERSON: "Full House" brought us Uncle Jesse, played by heartthrob John Stamos, who also makes it into the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT comeback king hall of fame.

When "Full House" closed its doors and the series ended in 1995, Stamos seemed to slip out of Hollywood`s grasp. Then his Hollywood marriage to Rebecca Romijn came to an end.

But now.

JOHN STAMOS, ACTOR: I just spent a month in the ICU. I can do it in my sleep.

ANDERSON: .overnight, our comeback king John Stamos brought a suffering "ER" back to life.

O`NEIL: John Stamos not only resuscitated his career with "ER," he saved this show that had been a long-running hit that was now in its dying days. See how it feels, people?

ANDERSON: So as SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s picks all prove, who doesn`t love a comeback king?

O`NEIL: America loves a comeback, because we`ve all had great successes followed by dark days. We want to believe that we can come back, too. And if our TV heroes and our film heroes can do it, it makes me feel great.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: Now that SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has crowned these men as kings, we are looking for our next comeback king story. The SHOWBIZ TONIGHT staff put it to a vote, and we`re rooting for: Ian Ziering.

The former "90210" star is back and ready to shake his groove thing on the upcoming season of "Dancing With the Stars." Good luck with that, Ian.

OK, now, making it work in Hollywood and beyond, SHOWIBZ TONIGHT`s continuing coverage of stars who make their relationships work in Hollywood.

Tonight, we`re talking about stars surviving heartache and starting over. From Julia Robert to Jennifer Lopez to Nicole Kidman, what have they learned from their love flops?

With us in Hollywood is host of TV Guide`s "The Fashion Team," Daphne Brogdon.

Hey, Daphne.

DAPHNE BROGDON, "THE FASHION TEAM": Hello.

ANDERSON: Hello.

I want to start with Nicole Kidman. Married to Tom Cruise for 10 years. As soon as they broke up, she won an Oscar. And now she`s married to country singer Keith Urban. He`s had his own struggles, has gone to rehab.

OK, you`ve got Keith Urban, you`ve got Tom Cruise. Two very different people there, Daphne. Is that one reason why it`s working this time?

BROGDON: Well, I think it`s also good that it`s not, like, the relationship is one after the other. She did some fun little dating there between Lenny Kravitz and Stephen Bing (ph) and a real pantheon.

And I was a firm believer in, you know, it`s - it`s good to mess around before you settle down.

And also, you know, she`s not a Scientologist. So she doesn`t mind therapy and so forth. So if Keith Urban - he`s, you know, battling an addiction problem. And she`s fine with standing by him as long as he`s still standing by her, looking fabulous next to her on the red carpet. And - and they`re both Australians. I think that works.

ANDERSON: Yes, and it seems like they both - like you say, really do support one another, no matter what.

I want move - move now to Julia Roberts, who has had a lot of heartbreaks over the years, including her split with Benjamin Bratt. You see him right here.

Julia got over that. She`s now been happily married for four and a half years to cameraman Danny Moder. I love this picture of these two. They`re about to have their third child.

What lessons do you think she learned that now she`s making it work?

BROGDON: Well, she definitely learned, don`t date an actor. I mean, my God, who wants to fight for the mirror time? And he`s (INAUDIBLE)

I mean, she`s such a big-time star, most actors are going to be eating their headshots in jealousy at the attention she`s going to get. A cameraman is perfect for somebody like her: knows how to handle the talent, but by the very definition of his job he`s behind the camera. So it`s just, like, hey honey, you`re fine.

And they`ve kind of got a little more of a laidback, Venice lifestyle. You know, just, like, get dressed up for an event, but otherwise, they`re cazh (ph).

ANDERSON: Yes, and it seems like she`s kind of stepped away from the spotlight a little bit to - to take care of those kids that they have together.

And now there`s Jennifer Lopez. October 2003: Jennifer and Ben Affleck were Hollywood` favorite couple, Daphne. They were very public. We all know how that one ended.

But now she`s been married to Marc Anthony for two and a half years. Seems very happy. She`s also somebody who`s had a lot of broken relationships.

What is it about this guy, Marc Anthony, that`s making it work?

BROGDON: I think it`s more they`re the same food group, you know? I mean, they - they have the same sort of, you know - you know, cultural backgrounds and interests.

I mean, you know, Ben Affleck - you know, he`s, like, such an uber- WASP, you know? So Jennifer Garner`s perfect for him, you know? And also, he`s a really political guy. I mean, the only thing, you know, JLo`s going to go to the streets for is to get a new hairdo.

And I think, you know, Marc Anthony is fine with her life. `Hey, you can be diva girl, while I just stand - just next to you, just happy to be here.` That`s their vibe.

ANDERSON: What about Jessica Simpson, Nick Lachey? You know, their marriage ended very publicly. But now they`re both in new relationships: Jessica with John Mayer; of course, Nick with Vanessa Minnillo.

What have both of these learned from their romance that are helping them to make their new relationships work?

BROGDON: Well, I think with Jessica, she`s being a little more on the down low. But I think that`s more John Mayer, who seems like he doesn`t want to be seen as, like, Nick Lachey holding the handbag for Jessica Simpson while they`re out shopping.

But Nick is actually still pretty public with - with his girlfriend. I mean, and who knows? If there was a reality TV show offer for him who knows if they wouldn`t jump on it? I mean, that`s what made their career in the first place.

ANDERSON: Oh, but I hope not. Keep - keep it as private as you can.

OK, Daphne Brogdon, host of TV Guide`s "The Fashion Team," as always, thanks. It was a lot of fun.

We told you a few minutes ago about the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT comeback kings. Well, coming up, Robert Downey Jr. - he`s another comeback king. You know, he`s had a lot of public ups and downs, but he`s bounced back and he`s come a long way. And we`re going to tell you why his latest role, in the thriller "Zodiac," is a sign of why he`s also a SHOWBIZ TONIGHT staff pick.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT for a Friday night, to get your weekend started off right, is coming right back. Stay with us.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Stand by to your break (INAUDIBLE) Master. And roll it now. And Tiffany (ph), effect black.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Fade up, start your push, Don (ph). Pre-set 7. Stand by, Brooke. Open her mike. Dissolve. Go.

ANDERSON: And welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show.

As we head into the weekend, fire up the TV, grab a book or go on the Internet, because the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT staff is all fired up. Here are our top things the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT staff is loving this week.

Our fabulous intern Samantha (ph) just can`t stop telling us how much she loves the new hit Fox game show, "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?" Samantha says she loves it because it is a game in which, actually, everybody can play along, but that she wishes some of the contestants were a bit smarter. Now that`s an understatement.

We`re also loving the History Channel these days. From the just- premiered "The Dark Ages," to the series rerun of "The History of Sex," the History Channel`s name itself would make you think it`s a big snooze. But we have to say, their shows are more compelling than most of what`s on primetime.

The SHOWBIZ TONIGHT staff is also loving the "Grammy 2007 Nominees CD." It has all the Grammy-nominated songs of 2007 in one place. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT producer Mara Wilcox (ph) makes a good point when she says, "Who needs a boyfriend to make you a mix when you can just order this one online?"

We`re also loving Robert Downey Jr.`s continuing comeback from his addiction problems of the past. Downey is gripping in the new movie "Zodiac." So pick up a - pick up the DVD, "The Guide to Recognizing Your (INAUDIBLE)" as well.

And then there`s the blog "Post Secret." People anonymously send in their secrets, which can be a regret, hope, fantasy, confession - just about anything. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT production assistant Britney Kaplan (ph) says she spends a lot of time on this site. So much so that our boss, Dave Levine (ph), here sent an anonymous post that read, "Britney, Daddy Dave knows what you`re doing. Now get back to work."

Check out the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT staff picks anytime on our Web site, CNN.com/showbiztonight. And Britney`s here with me in the studio; I think she just bright red on that one.

OK, now it is time to see what`s coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT this weekend.

The remarkable Anna Nicole Smith saga. With more twists and turns than a Hollywood movie, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT says, `Why don`t we make it?` Who should play Anna, Howard, Larry - and what about that wacky Judge Seidlin? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT casts "Anna Nicole: The Movie."

Then on Monday, Roseanne Barr unplugged. You know, she`s never one to hold back with her in-your-face humor. She`s always been one of the funniest moms in America. Monday, what`s her motherly take on the tabloid tarts: Paris, Lindsay, Britney. Roseanne Barr in the interview you`ll see only on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Have a great night, everyone. That is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I am Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.

"GLENN BECK" is coming up next, right after the latest headlines from CNN Headline News. Take care.
