(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Why did they go under the knife and what happens when good plastic surgery goes totally wrong. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the nitty gritty on Hollywood`s nips and tucks.

Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. And Britney Spears better look out because some of her one-time best friends could turn into her worst enemies, causing her to lose custody of her kids. That is coming up.

But first tonight, what is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. At any given moment, we are hearing that they are either breaking up, not breaking up, disagreeing about how to raise their kids, in total agreement about how to raise their kids. She`s had an eating disorder issue. She`s perfectly well. I could go on and on. Checking the time here, we only have about an hour left.

So enough already. Tonight, the SHOWBIZ Truth Squad is on the case and looking for answers.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER (voice-over): They are probably the most famous, glamorous, and scrutinized couple in the world.

DAVID CAPLAN, 24SIZZLER.COM: The golden age of Hollywood is coming back and you see it with Brad and Angelina.

HAMMER: There is no doubt that as far as Hollywood hit couples go, Brad and Angelina, parents of four diverse and very photogenic kids, are tops.

AMY ARGETSINGER, "THE WASHINGTON POST": You see them and it`s like sort of back to Liz Taylor and Richard Burton showing up somewhere.

HAMMER: But yet every week seems to bring tabloid headlines that Brad and Angie are fighting. Now SHOWBIZ TONIGHT brings you the truth behind the Brangelina rumors. Does Angelina suffer from an eating disorder. Is there a Pitt family feud. The biggest question of all -- are they on the verge of breaking up?

Let`s tackle all the big rumors, including number one, that Brad and Angie are headed towards splitsville.

J.D. HEYMAN, "PEOPLE MAGAZINE": Sometimes people who seem to have it all, people take a kind of perverse joy when they think things are not going well.

HAMMER: The new "People Magazine" features an in-depth report on the state of the Brangelina union.

HEYMAN: There is no trouble in this paradise. They are actually quite happy and, in fact, they are in many ways closer than they have ever been.

HAMMER: "People`s" senior editor J.D. Heyman tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT don`t believe the hype about Brad and Angelina. They`re doing just fine.

HEYMAN: The two of them are very happy together. This is like a, you know, newly wed couple if they were married. They are very close. They are very affectionate.

HAMMER: What about rumor number two, that Angelina has an eating disorder? We have been seeing a lot about how thin Angelina has looked lately.

HEYMAN: There have been some pretty vicious headlines in tabloids about her being anorexic or having some kind of eating disorder.

HAMMER: Angelina said she lost weight this year while grieving over a devastating loss. Her mother and close friend, actress Marshaline Bertrand (ph), died earlier this year of cancer. She was only 56. "People Magazine" says that reports of Angelina suffering an eating disorder are way off base.

HEYMAN: Her friends tell us that, you know, she eats three square meals a day like other people. She`s healthy and that Brad likes her just the way she is.

HAMMER: On to rumor number three, is there a family feud? Reports that Pitt`s mom is still close to his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston have everyone buzzing. After all, a man`s mom hanging out with his ex has got to cause tension with his current lady, right?

HEYMAN: There is no tension between them.

HAMMER: "People Magazine`s" Heyman tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that there is real harmony within Pitt`s extended family.

HEYMAN: Brad`s brother tells us they just laugh off these rumors. There`s no basis to them. And they are, in fact, a happy family.

HAMMER: Fortunately, Brad and Angelina are too busy to pay attention to all the chatter about their relationship.

HEYMAN: Certainly the rumors, such as they are, are probably the last thing on their minds while they are chasing around all these kids.

HAMMER: In fact, Angelina Jolie recently told me that she and Brad get a kick out of being parents to their ever growing group of kids.

ANGELINA JOLIE, ACTRESS: They just find us silly. You know, we are their parents, so we are just dad, mom.

HAMMER: So they are keeping you grounded.

JOLIE: Yes, very much.

HAMMER: Of course, no one can know how things will work out for this couple. But apparently those waiting for them to break up for real may end up waiting a long time.

HEYMAN: This isn`t a couple that`s on the rocks. This is a really solid relationship between two adults who know what they want in life.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Well, now we would like to hear from you for our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day. Here`s what we want to know; Brad and Angelina, will it last? Let us know, CNN.com/SHOWBIZTONIGHT. Our e-mail address, if you have more to say, is SHOWBIZTONIGHT@CNN.com.

Don`t forget, you can also vote on our question of the day by simply sending a cell phone text message to 45688. You want to vote yes, write SHOWBIZ Yes; vote no, write SHOWBIZ No. Send it off to 45688.

Tonight Britney`s inner circle is under siege. Here`s the really bad thing for Britney; her one-time best friends could actually turn into her worst enemies. Three of Britney`s closest confidants have now been subpoenaed. The latest to be served, Britney`s former assistant, Shannon Funk, who is right there on the cover of this week`s "OK! Magazine" kissing Britney while they are both topless.

Also served, Britney`s former assistant, Allie Simms, as well as her body guard. With me tonight from Hollywood attorney to the stars Gloria Allred and celebrity publicist Howard Bragman of 15 Minutes PR. Gloria, I want to start with you, because you certainly have reped lots of stars in your career. You have been in these situations before. What kind of dirt could Shannon Funk reveal to the court and how damaging could all of it be to Britney`s custody battle?

GLORIA ALLRED, ATTORNEY: Apparently, Fed-Ex thinks it`s going to be helpful to him and that`s why his attorney is subpoenaing these people. It may be that they are on a fishing expedition or they may have some specific information which would be helpful to them and they are hoping to have these people elaborate on that when they take their depositions, which means those people are going to have to come in and answer questions under oath in a court of law, and/or perhaps in a deposition prior to getting to the court of law.

HAMMER: You`d like to believe that K-Fed`s lawyers actually think they have something there, because otherwise this could back fire terribly on them. Right here I hold in my hands -- Charles, I`m holding in my hands -- look at this -- it`s today`s "New York Daily News." There`s a huge spread on the now infamous Shannon Funk that I`ve mentioned. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, by the way, right there at the center of the article, because Funk was seen watching SHOWBIZ TONIGHT while on a flight to Los Angeles earlier this week.

The article goes on to say, quote, "Over California she wakes. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is on satellite TV. The topic is Brit and K-Fed`s custody battle. A picture of Brit flashes across the screen and a brunette pal flying with Funk clutches her hand. Look, look, look, she says, tapping the monitor."

We also heard that she was very excited, Shannon Funk, about seeing herself on TV. Howard, as exciting as that may be in other circumstances, it seems to me not the time that she should be excited but perhaps a bit worried.

HOWARD BRAGMAN, 15 MINUTES PR: I think she probably doesn`t know her place. You want to think if the boss is in the hot tub naked that she`s on the side holding the towel and I think she`s sort of getting confused and thinking she`s the celebrity and they are really interested in her and not her relationship with Britney. So yes, watch out. You know how you burn people here. She`s got to be careful, A.J.

HAMMER: She wasn`t holding the towel. Go ahead, Gloria.

ALLRED: It`s interesting too because most celebrities, when they have anybody working for them and with them, will have those people sign confidentiality agreements, so that they can`t sell information about the celebrity. We don`t know whether that occurred here. Of course, none of that`s going to apply if they are subpoenaed to testify under oath. So that`s where we may find out information that`s pretty interesting, but the focus has to be Britney`s relationship with her children, not just eccentric behavior.

HAMMER: So to be clear, you`re under oath, that confidentiality agreement, if it exists, goes out the window.

ALLRED: Exactly.

HAMMER: All right, I think it`s pretty incredible that because of Britney`s mess and what her life has turned into, all of a sudden you have all of these people around her in the periphery. Assistants, former assistants, body guards now all being thrown in to the limelight. Howard, not to be cynical- what the heck, let me be cynical --

BRAGMAN: You?

HAMMER: Would you lay down money that Britney`s three subpoenaed friends are at least one or two of them are thinking about using this opportunity to now launch their own careers in Hollywood? We have seen it before.

BRAGMAN: As Gloria said, unless Britney is a total idiot -- and don`t comment on that -- they did sign confidentiality statements and what they can say is going to be limited to what they can say in court. Everything they say in court is protected. Everything they say outside of court they can get in deep do-do for. So I think they have to be a lot more cautious.

That being said, everybody who gets on TV wants to make a career out of it. Of course they will.

HAMMER: Let`s see what`s going to happen with Britney`s mom. This is an issue that I think everybody is interested to see how it plays out. Reports are flying around that she might be called to testify as well, but on behalf of Kevin Federline. Gloria, could Britney`s mom simply refuse? Is there any kind of a mother-daughter confidentiality that let`s her out of having to get on the stand and possibly say under oath bad things about her daughter?

ALLRED: Absolutely not, A.J. We found that out in the whole Monica Lewinski`s situation, where Monica Lewinski`s mother was subpoenaed. She didn`t have to have to reveal information about her daughter and what her daughter told her about President Clinton. But she had to testify unless she could take the fifth. So that is a problem for the mother or -- and you know, when anyone testifies, they are not supposed to be testifying for or against a party in a case. They are just supposed to be testifying truthfully. And however it comes out, whether it hurts or helps the person that told them to testify, it`s not going to matter.

HAMMER: Right, thanks very much, Gloria Allred, Howard Bragman. I appreciate you being with us tonight.

I`ve got to say, I think Britney has certainly gone down a dangerous path ever since she more or less lost it shaving her head, ending up in rehab and then all the carrying on that happened after rehab. so I have to ask, do these fancy rehab centers even really work?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It is enormous.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The views, I come over here and brush my teeth every morning and I get to look at the ocean. It just doesn`t get any better.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Look at this place. Looks like a luxury hotel, not a rehab center. Coming up, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Brooke Anderson with a special look into what really goes on inside a celebrity rehab center. Stars spend a ton on rehab. They also spend a whole lot on getting plastic surgery. Sometimes it works. Sometimes, well, I`ve been frightened. Tonight, I am getting stars to reveal their shocking plastic surgery secrets. A SHOWBIZ special report, stars under the knife.

And Nicole Richie may be cutting into a wedding cake pretty soon. Big news, will she be getting married? Will her dad Lionel sing "All Night Long" at the ceremony? These are very important questions. I`ve got the very important answers coming up.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Tonight, a SHOWBIZ special report, stars under the knife. In Hollywood plastic surgery is as common as a five-mile backup on the 101 freeway. It happens all the time. Stars get snipped not only to turn back the hands of time, but sometimes to kick start their careers. Sometimes they fess up. Sometimes they keep their nips and tucks hush hush.

Tonight, we are blowing the lid off plastic surgery secrets. Here`s SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Brooke Anderson.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

BROOKE ANDERSON, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT ANCHOR (voice over): In Hollywood, beauty is everything.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You look great.

ANDERSON: But in Hollywood, beauty -- and youth, for that matter, can come from a little help from your neighborhood plastic surgeon. But who`s done well, and who should have left well enough alone? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s got you covered.

That`s Ashlee Simpson back in 2004. This is Ashlee now. Something looks different. Is it the nose? The chin? The lips? Ashlee won`t say. But she did recently tell "Harper`s Bizarre" magazine that she has never been insecure about her looks, and that plastic surgery is, quote, "a personal choice".

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: She`s never looked hotter.

ANDERSON: Unlike Ashlee, Kiss bassist Gene Simmons and his longtime girlfriend, former "Playboy" Playmate Shannon Tweed, have put it all out there, and we mean all, when it comes to their surgeries.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: OK, Gene, we`ll go ahead make some drawings on your face.

ANDERSON: Gene and Shannon, both in their 50s, decided to document their his and her face-lifts on their reality show.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You`re hot.

ANDERSON: When they came straight to the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT studios they couldn`t stop talking about it.

HAMMER: Why do the surgery?

SHANNON TWEED, FMR. "PLAYBOY" PLAYMATE: Because I had a couple of extra chins.

GENE SIMMONS, KISS: It was sort of like, what the hell, throw caution to the wind. Throw your shoulder -- throw your face over your shoulder, and see what happens.

ANDERSON: Doctor Frank Ryan did the nipping and tucking for both Gene and Shannon. Unlike most of his celebrity clients, who use the secret backdoor to his offices, Gene and Shannon just walked right in. Dr. Ryan tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that in Hollywood, it`s not just the older stars who come looking for his expertise.

DR. FRANK RYAN, PLASTIC SURGEON: Surgery in younger people is getting more and more popular. Of course, things like breast augmentation and rhinoplasty has been popular in younger age groups. But more and people are getting face-lifts in their 30s.

ANDERSON: Enter comedienne Kathy Griffin, she`s definitely not shy when it comes to the laundry list of work she`s had done. Just listen to what she told CNN`s Larry King.

LARRY KING, "LARRY KING LIVE": Have you had cosmetic surgery?

KATHY GRIFFIIN, COMEDIAN: Oh, yeah, absolutely.

KING: What have you had done?

GRIFFIN: A had a brow lift, which where they take your eyebrows and put them on a completely different part of your head, and you look months younger. And I had -- what have I had? A lower face-lift, where they only do it to here. I don`t know. I said stop at the ears.

KING: Have you had botox, collagen?

GRIFFIN: Yes, all of that.

ANDERSON: Rock star Courtney Love has made just as many headlines for her ever-changing appearance, as she has for her music, or her off-the-wall behavior.

COURTNEY LOVE, SINGER: All right.

ANDERSON: Love went from this, to this. But fake lips, a new nose, and an enhanced figure were apparently enough. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you Love recently pledged to give up plastic surgery in a list of New Year`s resolutions she posted on the Internet.

That didn`t last long, though. A few months later, Love had to admit to having her lips reversed. The weight loss, she says, didn`t require a doctor.

JILL DOBSON, EDITOR-AT-LARGE, "STAR" MAGAZINE: Some celebrities are very open when they have plastic surgery. Other celebrities, especially those who seem to lose lots of weight, usually keep quiet about the surgery that may have gone into it. A lot of people think maybe Courtney Love had surgery to lose all of the weight she`s lost recently, but she denies it.

ANDERSON: It`s easier to deny a surgery when it comes to a dramatic weight loss. But how about when it`s, um, how do we say this, a little more obvious?

Breast augmentation can be a great way to kick start a career in Hollywood. Just ask Pam Anderson, Anna Nicole Smith, and Carmen Electra.

CARMEN ELECTRA, MODEL: You can`t really judge someone for their choices. But I think that if it`s something that you want to do, and you feel good about it, it has a lot to just dealing with yourself and your own self-confidence; and sort of figuring out, you know, how to deal with life.

ANDERSON: But bigger breasts don`t always mean bigger bucks.

TARA REID, ACTRESS: You have to look a certain way. It`s something that, you know, I was thinking about for a while.

ANDERSON: Tara Reid had to fix her botched job in 2006, which she says kept her from getting work.

REID: I needed to get my body into top shape. This is what I needed to do. Unfortunately, everything that they wanted me to do, the surgery came out terrible.

ANDERSON: And speaking of terrible, you just can`t help but feel sorry for Kenny Rogers.

Kenny gambled on what he thought was a routine eye lift. And the results, well, let`s just say not so good. Kenny later told "People" magazine that he, quote, "went a little too far".

Also in the little too far category -- Michael Jackson, Joan Rivers, and Melanie Griffith. Why do so many stars go under the knife? The answer, according to Dr. Ryan, is simple.

RYAN: I think with the entertainment industry, to be honest with you, I think, we, as the public, hold these personalities to a higher standard. How many times do you see a photo of a celebrity in a tabloid, with maybe a 60-year-old man with kind of a beer belly? You say, my god, what happened?

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: The most popular type of plastic surgery in Hollywood, no real surprise here, the old boob job. Well, I`m just getting warmed up on these plastic surgery secrets to the stars. I`ve got so much more nitty- gritty of celebrity nips and tucks, like what Jessica Simpson is finally admitting to, and which stars are giving it up about gastric bypass surgery. More coming up. We`ve also got this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It is enormous.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I come over here and I brush my teeth every morning and I get to look at the ocean. So I mean, it just doesn`t get any better.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: What is this place? A five-star luxury resort? It really looks like it. It`s actually a rehab center that lots of celebs check into. Tonight, we are really checking it out. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Brooke Anderson exposes the secrets of celebrity rehab coming up.

And speaking of secrets, Nicole Richie might be getting married. Yes, there`s a surprising connection to Regis Philbin. That`s right. Why am I whispering? Maybe I`ll do the rest of the show this way. That`s next.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: So how did that kiddie rhyme go? It`s so and so sitting in a tree. First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby carriage. The way I see it, Nicole Richie and her boyfriend, Good Charlotte front man Joe Madden, are doing that but kind of in reverse. Tonight, everybody is buzzing that Nicole, who is about four months pregnant, might be getting an engagement ring.

It was actually Regis Philbin, of all people, that might have spilled the beans. Check this out on today`s "Live With Regis and Kelly." Good Charlotte was performing and watch what happens when he Reg jabs Joel with the question.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

REGIS PHILBON, "LIVE WITH REGIS AND KELLY": Are you are going to present her maybe with a -- did I hear the right thing or should I not even talk about this?

JOEL MADDEN, GOOD CHARLOTTE: What?

PHILBON: A little ring or something?

MADDEN: I was hoping to be a surprise, but --

PHILBON: Really? What`s new with you, big boy? You`re dating a beautiful Australian actress.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes, I am.

PHILBON: How do you like that?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Rock and roll is good. Yes, we`re engaged.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Not really a good save there Reg. We did reach out to Nicole Richie and Joel Madden`s people. They are not talking just yet. I bet there will be some news soon.

Nicole Richie has been in rehab. Lindsay, Britney, the list goes on and on. The places they go to get cleaned up look like luxury hotels. Tonight we are looking at the secrets of celebrity rehabs. That`s coming up. Also this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CAPLAN: When Jessica admitted she had (INAUDIBLE) that opened the flood gates for people wondering is she going to admit some other plastic surgery she had. A lot of people were wondering, has Jessica had breast implants.

HAMMER: Secrets of plastic surgery; sometimes these stars look good. Sometimes pretty scary. Tonight, I am squeezing the confessions from some of the biggest stars outs there. Our SHOWBIZ special report, stars under the knife, next.

HAMMER: Why did they decide to do it? And, uh-oh, what happens when good plastic surgery goes oh, so wrong? Tonight, a SHOWBIZ TONIGHT special report on the nitty-gritty of Hollywood`s nips and tucks.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT for Thursday night. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. You are watching TV`s most provocative entertainment news show.

And tonight, more of our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT special report, "Stars Under The Knife", from the good, the bad, and the sometimes very ugly, I`ve got to say, it does seem like more and more stars these days, out there in Hollywood, are getting nips, tucks, injected and all sorts of other things.

Our special report continues with more plastic surgery confessions of the rich and famous.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER (voice over): From Jessica Simpson`s super-sized lips to Axle Rose and Mickey O`Rourke`s freaky new faces. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you Hollywood is full of plastic surgeries -- and nightmares.

CAPLAN: One of the worst Hollywood plastic surgery offenders is Axle Rose.

HAMMER: Axle Rose rose to fame in the 1980s as the lead singer of the widely popular rock group Guns & Roses.

HAMMER: Women loved him. Men wanted to be him, but by the late 1990s. Axle had become increasingly reclusive.

AXLE ROSE, GUNS & ROSES: (UNINTELLIGIBLE) I`m going home.

HAMMER: He decided to disappear from the spotlight. In 2006 he reemerged looking like this.

CAPLAN: It looked like he had had a chemical peel, that he had cheek implants. His whole face looked completely reconstructed.

HAMMER: Even his hair looked different.

MOLLY GOODSON, BLOGGER, POPSUGAR.COM: I was incredibly shocked to see Axle Rose when he came out of the woodwork, it seemed, and just sort reestablished himself with these corn rows and this whole new appearance. I think a lot of his fans were shocked.

CAPLAN: Axle Rose used to be this really studly hunky guy. But when he reemerged, he looked so artificial and so plastic it was scary almost for people to look at him.

HAMMER: If you were hoping to get an admission out of Axle, it`s not going to happen. He`s never said a word about his transformation -- but Jessica Simpson has. After much speculation about her noticeably fuller lips, Jessica is finally acknowledging that she`s had injections in her lips. Admitting to "glamour" magazine that, quote, I had that Restylane stuff. It looked fake to me and I didn`t like that."

CAPLAN: When Jessica Simpson first landed on our radar she was very au naturale, girl next-door. Then all of a sudden we saw Jessica with these bigger lips and they were even nicknamed Trout Pout.

HAMMER: Jessica is saying so long to the trout pout. She says she stopped with the filler, but that admission got people asking, what else?

CAPLAN: When Jessica admitted she had Restylane, that opened the floodgates to people wondering, OK, is she going to admit to some other plastic surgery she had. A lot of people were wondering, had Jessica had breast implants?

HAMMER: Speculate all you want, but Jessica wants everyone to know - - unlike her lips -- those are real. She tells "Harper`s Bizarre" magazine she is not ruling out plastic surgery in the future, because you never know what`s going to happen.

Saying, "Maybe after having kids if my bobs dropped down to my belly button, I would get them lifted.

Patricia Heaten knows all about that. The "Everybody Loves Raymond" star says after having four kids and four C sections changed her body in ways she never imagined, so she went nor a tummy tuck and a breast lift.

PATRICIA HEATON, ACTRESS: I nursed four very thirsty boys in quick succession. I`m 44 and my body was looking about 64 so I wanted to sort of have them meet.

HAMMER: Just like Cher, Sharon Osborne and Joan Rivers, Patricia Heaton isn`t shy when it comes to talking about her surgery.

HEATON: I`ve seen enough actresses, in magazines, who in Hollywood are known to have had surgery say that they haven`t had it, or they are afraid of the surgery, and I kind of think it`s unfair. Because I have so many moms that come up to me and say I`ve had four C-sections also, and I don`t look like you. And to tell them well, it`s just natural, I think that`s unfair.

HAMMER: Star Jones waited four years before telling the world that she had something done to her body. She went from 307 pounds to her new stick-thin figure because of gastric bypass surgery. She says she waited so long because she didn`t know how people would react. But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT found out her then co-hosts on "The View" knew about it all along.

BARBARA WALTERS, "THE VIEW": I`m very happy that star has talked about her gastric bypass. We all knew about it. She asked us not to tell. She was our colleague and we didn`t.

HAMMER: Star may have hid her surgery, but SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you there are plenty of other celebrities who have come right out to say surgery helped them slim down. "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson and weather man Al Rocker each lost more than 100 pounds thanks to gastric bypass surgery, so did Rosanne Barr. For Blues Traveler (ph) front man John Popper the weight loss was more extreme.

JOHN POPPER, SINGER: I used to step on the gas station -- the little hoses and go ding-ding. I could make it go ding just by stepping on it.

HAMMER: Popper used to weigh over 400 pounds. But in 2000 he went under the knife and reemerged half his size.

POPPER: It saved my life. It was absolutely that simple.

HAMMER: But not every surgery is a success, enter actor Mickey O`Rourke. You remember him from his leading man days. Have a look at him now. O`Rourke`s surgery started when he decided to fix his nose after a boxing injury. The nose job, though, was just the tip of the iceberg.

CAPLAN: His face looks completely different. It looks like he had some sort of face lift, chemical peel, definitely some surgery around his eyes. He just went full on with all the surgery.

HAMMER: Whether it`s the good, the bad, or the just plain ugly, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is here to tell you, it looks like plastic surgery is one of the few things in Hollywood that will never go out of style.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Yeah, but not everybody gives in. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you, there are some stars out there who say they will never go under the knife. Actress Diane Lane happens to be one of them. Lane is in her 40s and she told "More" magazine that in her mind, getting older is simply part of life, and aging offers great lessons in dignity. I think she`s onto something.

Well, if you thought that was, how stars put themselves under the knife for the sake of beauty, wait til you get a load of this place.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It is enormous.

The views, you know, I come over here and I brush my teeth every morning, and I get to look at the ocean. So I mean, it just doesn`t get any better than this.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Doesn`t get any better than this, he said. This is not a luxury resort. This is a fantastic place. And it happens to be a rehab center for the rich and famous, which I always kind of thought was supposed to be tough. I guess I was wrong. I`ve got a remarkable look at one of the poshest rehab places of them all.

And then, look at this guy. Yeah, he`s doing what you think he`s trying to do, pulling an airplane with his teeth. Is he nuts? Get my cousin Lisa on the phone. She`s a dentist. SHOWBIZ video of the day coming up next.

First, summer guilty pleasures, magazines are all saying that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are done. But tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has been telling you do not believe the hype for one moment. It`s not over.

We`ve been asking you to vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day with what you think about them. Brad and Angelina, will it last? Vote at cnn.com/showbiztonight. You can also vote on our question of the day, by sending a cell phone text message. The number is 45688. Vote yes, write showbiz yes. Vote no, write showbiz no. And the number to send it to, 45688.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

I was on an airplane over the weekend, I was getting a bit frustrated about how long we were sitting there stuck on the tarmac. I thought, you know what, this would be a whole lot faster if I got out and pulled the plane myself.

Well, guess what, somebody`s actually beaten me to it. It happens to be tonight`s SHOWBIZ TONIGHT video of the day. So, roll it, Miles (ph). Look at this video from India we pulled down from the satellites. I believe it was C-Band 151.

This is a 25-year-old named Reeshi (ph). Our crack producers have done research on Reeshi (ph) to find out he`s already pulled a train, train engine, aircraft, trucks and cars with his bare teeth, all in an attempt to make a world record. He`s a computer engineer by profession. And he says his only aim is to make India proud. Nice going, Reeshi (ph).

So this plane weighs three tons. He pulled it 15 feet. There`s no word yet on if it`s a record. My guess is -- probably.

From Lindsay Lohan to Britney Spears, these days it seems like every week another celebrity is checking into rehab. What are these places really like? Well, wait until you see this because SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is about to take you somewhere where very few have been. Rehab for the rich and famous.

Some stars don`t want you to see this. It was an exclusive eye-opening experience. It may just be miles from Hollywood, but for the stars, it really is a world away. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Brooke Anderson takes us inside the luxurious world of rehab.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Break the surf zone and then swim out to the right a little bit more.

BROOKE ANDERSON, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice over): Surfing.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Let me know what you think of the pressure.

ANDERSON: Massages, gourmet meals.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: With two balconies up here.

ANDERSON: Luxurious accommodations.

(on camera): You wake up every morning to this view.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Every morning I wake up, I step outside and I take a deep breath and I just thank God for allowing me to be here.

ANDERSON: You may think this is a posh resort, but, in fact, this is drug and alcohol rehab, Malibu style.

(On camera): Is this rehab or is this summer camp? I mean, come on. Here we are at the beautiful beach in Malibu.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It`s a little bit of both. But what happens while you`re here is that the primary focus is dealing with your emotional therapeutic issues.

ANDERSON: So, 21-year-old Scott Young is nearing the end of his 30- day stay at Passengers Addiction Cure Center.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I ended up smoking pot and drinking when I was 10, 11 years old. Ever since then it just progressed using heroin, crack, cocaine, drinking when I couldn`t get those things. I spent two months in jail before I came here. It`s been a long journey.

ANDERSON: This is Scott`s fifth or sixth time in a rehab. His first in the lap of luxury, a family friend picked up the tab this time because a stay at Passages isn`t cheap, at nearly $70,000 a month.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: This is the massive bathroom. It is by far one of the biggest bathrooms I have ever stepped my foot on.

ANDERSON: It is enormous.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: There`s views -- I come over here, and I brush my teeth every morning and I get to look at the ocean. It just doesn`t get any better than this. It doesn`t.

ANDERSON (voice over): Meet Conchetta Bruce (ph), a 43-year-old mother who extended her stay to two months. Her parents are picking up the whopping $135,000 bill.

(on camera): What does your family think about you being here? Because from the outside, boy, it looks like a five-star resort.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: They all said, we want to go. We would like to go. They realize that in order to get here, I had to be in a really dark place, and I don`t think anybody would want to change places with me to go through the darkness to get to this place.

ANDERSON (voice over): Conchetta (ph) says she`s been in and out of rehabs over the years, struggling with everything from an eating disorder to gambling, abusing alcohol and methamphetamines, even attempting suicide. Before getting help this time, Conchetta (ph) became isolated from her family.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: They basically said look, Conchetta (ph), we can`t have you this way around our family, we are not going to. And if you would like -- and I told my daughter, you know, mommy is still very sick and she`s using drugs again.

ANDERSON: Conchetta (ph) says she finally feels she has a grip on her dependency after finding a root of her problems at Passages.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It`s four intensive hours a day with therapists one on one which I really felt I needed to be able to get to the core issues.

ANDERSON: Passages is very different from your average rehab with less focus on group therapy, and more focus on one on one treatment, which Conchetta and Scott allowed us to witness.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I had no self-acceptance worth whatsoever.

ANDERSON: Some is what you would expect, regular meetings with a psychologist, as well as therapists who focus on family issues and chemical dependency.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Putting the toxins and poisons into my body, it didn`t really affect me at all. It just numbed me to having to feel this self-hate and misery.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You are accepting your right now without judgment and accepting your emotions right now without judgment. Pretty cool.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You are worthy. You are worthy and deserving.

ANDERSON: But there`s also regular hypnotherapy.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Listen. Feel. Sense. You`re learning to love and respect yourself.

ANDERSON: And meetings with a nutritionist who specializes in spiritual counseling.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Opening the heart. Connecting to your emotions.

ANDERSON: Here they say the massages help heal the body ravaged by drugs. And they claim activities like surfing serve a purpose, too.

STEVEN ELLIS, PASSAGES LIFE PURPOSE COACH: There is a time to unplug and unconsciously process a lot of the serious work that`s happened at Passages. When we are out here, sometimes there are serious conversations that happen that are by no means trivial whatsoever.

ANDERSON: Chris Prentiss and his son, Pax, a former heroin and cocaine addict, founded Passages six years ago based on the tools they say helped Pax become sober.

(On camera): Why the gourmet chefs? Why the massage therapists? Is that necessary?

CHRIS PRENTISS, PASSAGE ADDICTION CURE CENTER: It`s not necessary in a way, but in another way, it is, because this is a healing center. The people who want to come to this program expect to be in a nice surrounding.

ANDERSON: Nearly $70,000 a month. Why so expensive?

C. PRENTISS: Because it`s one on one treatment. Because it`s in a $22 million estate, because there are a 100 people who work here, to take care of 29 clients. It just, it`s an expensive program to put on.

ANDERSON: The Prentiss duo claim a success rate of better than 80 percent and even wrote a book about their unconventional approach. They reject the decades old 12-step program and proudly defy scientific studies about addiction.

(on camera): Doctors, scientists say addiction is a disease. You say it`s not.

PAX PRENTISS, PASSAGE ADDICTION CURE CENTER: I know it`s not.

C. PRENTISS: That`s correct. We know it`s not. People do not use drugs and alcohol because they have a disease in their brain. People use drugs and alcohol because of heartbreak, because of loneliness, because of stress, because of anxiety, because of peer pressure, because of childhood problems, rape, incest, brutality, abandonment, guilt. Things they`ve done to others. That`s why people use drugs and alcohol. It`s not because they are some incurably diseased person with no hope of recovering.

P. PRENTISS: The difficulty I have with the disease concept and with calling yourself an addict is that labels you, and it defines you.

ANDERSON: When you send patients home, what do you say to them?

P. PRENTISS: You are cured.

C. PRENTISS: Totally cured, 100 percent.

P. PRENTISS: You will never use drugs and alcohol again. Your dependency has been cured. Have a wonderful life.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I can`t wait to, you know, have the rest of my life unfold, and it`s going to be wonderful.

ANDERSON (voice over): The time has come for Scott to pack his bags and head back to New York where he plans to enroll in college to become a drug counselor.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Because of finding that acceptance in myself, I`m able to like connect with the world and other people in such a different way. It`s just so -- it`s a great feeling. I`m definitely capable of growing out there just like I am in here.

ANDERSON: While the Passages approach to treatment may be debatable, hope is never questioned.

HAMMER: That was SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Brooke Anderson. Some celebrities who have checked into these posh rehab facilities told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that the heavy monetary price they paid to be in those places is worth so much more than the price they paid when their personal crisis is in front of a very public Hollywood spotlight.

Yesterday we asked you to vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day. Here it is: Britney still out partying. Is she in danger of losing her kids? Inbox is flooded. Look at that. A lot of people think she is in trouble; 90 percent say yes; 10 percent say no. Lot of e-mail came in, too.

But TT in North Carolina writes, "No! Don`t forget what Britney went through with K-Fed. Woman act out with a break-up. It`s a phase. She is human."

We also heard from P. in California who writes, "Maybe someone else should have custody until they get their acts together."

That`s not such a bad idea.

Has this summer been a great summer for Joey Fatone, or what? This guy is hosting one of the hottest shows on television, "The Singing Bee". The former boy band N`Sync-er is a huge heartthrob all over again. But you know what he told me, when I had the chance to catch up with him. Now he is plenty happy with his wife and he revealed the secrets of exactly how he makes his marriage work. You will hear in his own words what the great Joey Fatone told me, when SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, for a Thursday night comes right back.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Now SHOWBIZ TONIGHT continuing coverage of couples making their relationships work on Hollywood, and beyond. Tonight, Joey Fatone. He`s the star of the summer`s biggest TV hit, "The Singing Bee". The former N`Sync star and "Dancing with the Stars" alum, Joey Fatone has been married for almost three years. He and his wife Kelly have actually been together for more than a decade, and they have a six-year-old daughter together. When I sat down with Joey, I asked him how he`s been able to balance life in the spotlight with a family life.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOEY FATONE, "THE SINGING BEE": Just being really together, being a unit, basically, being one. That`s the key, you know, and sometimes nobody`s perfect. My wife sometimes calls me Joey, party of one, because sometimes I do think of myself other than my wife and my kid. And that`s the things that -- you are on a roller coaster.

I`ve been with her dating for like 13, 14 years and it`s gone up and down. You have to buckle down and really evaluate each other, sit down and like talk a lot. A lot of communication, obviously, is a must. That something that has to happen. You can`t just blow things up, or you know, keep stuff inside because you will blow up or get mad or whatever the case may be.

For me I tend to get away from everything. Living in Orlando is really nice as far as not being in L.A., being in the scene, being in people`s eyes all the time. There are times and places to do that, and like this right now I`m kind of doing a lot of press blitz and being out there. It`s fun to do. My wife is not the limelight kind of person which is also I guess a plus. She`s a fantastic mother. Fantastic wife, and it`s just fun.

We are enjoying the ride. We do have things, you do argue. People argue. That`s going to happen.

(END VIDEO CLIP)
