A.J. HAMMER, CO-HOST: Orlando Bloom in a frightening car accident, and he is blaming the paparazzi. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.
BROOKE ANDERSON, CO-HOST: And because of the paparazzi, the craziness, some big stars might be packing their bags and leaving Tinseltown for any other town, (INAUDIBLE) special report "Sick of Hollywood." I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show starts right now.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER (voice-over): On SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, a startling Anna Nicole drug shocker. Tonight search warrants served on doctors who prescribed drugs to Anna Nicole Smith. And why was Howard K. Stern in the house of one of the doctors when the search warrants were served? Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the breaking Anna Nicole news that could blow the investigation into her death out of the water.

Tonight, is it finally time to leave Britney alone? Photographers stalking her every move. Her privacy gone. So we`ve got to ask, have the paparazzi gone too far? Plus, Showbiz Tonight investigates the controversial question, is all this over-the-top, out-of-control attention actually making Britney`s problems worse?

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Friday night is on. I`m A.J. Hammer, broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson, coming to you tonight from Hollywood, where Britney Spears is being stalked every day by the paparazzi, so is it time to just leave Britney alone? That is coming up.

HAMMER: But first tonight, an Anna Nicole Smith drug shocker. Startling new developments to tell you about tonight. This has really been an absolutely wild day as California investigators armed with search warrants swooped down on the homes of two doctors, one who actually prescribed drugs that were found in Anna Nicole`s hotel room the day that she died of an accidental drug overdose.

And as this stunning story developed today, we learned that Howard K. Stern was actually in one of the doctor`s homes when the search warrant was served. California`s attorney general, Jerry Brown, held a dramatic news conference today, and he made it clear that all of this could lead to serious charges being filed, including possibly homicide.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JERRY BROWN, CALIFORNIA ATTORNEY GENERAL: You don`t go to a judge and get a search warrant for somebody`s home unless you think some rather serious crime has been committed. So that`s certainly part of the equation here.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Wow. We`ve got a very powerful fired-up panel. Joining us tonight in New York, investigative journalist Jane Velez-Mitchell. Also, COURT TV anchor Ashleigh Banfield, who is also the host of "Hollywood Heat" COURT TV. Powerhouse attorney Gloria Allred. And joining us from Atlanta tonight, renowned defense attorney B.J. Bernstein.

Gang, I appreciate you being here. What a wild day. Of course, we know when Anna Nicole died there were 11 prescription medications found in her hotel room. All of these were prescribed by a doctor named Khristine Eroshevich. One of the doctors who is home was searched today.

Now Attorney General Brown is now talking about possible homicide charges. Attorney Gloria Allred, let me start with you, would that be for an accidental death or would that possibly suggest it may have been intentional?

GLORIA ALLRED, ATTORNEY: Well, we will have to see. And, of course, the charges, if filed, A.J., would be filed by the district attorney of Los Angeles County, Steve Cooley, and I know him personally. I also know the attorney general, Jerry Brown, personally. And I can say that the district attorney would not file such charges unless and until he believed he really could prove that case beyond a reasonable doubt.

He is not out to get celebrities. He`s a career professional. And he will look very carefully at the evidence and see if it warrants a criminal prosecution.

HAMMER: I remember when the case was just unfolding and when Anna died, there was a lot of controversy about the fact that some of the prescriptions were actually made out to Anna Nicole`s long-time companion Howard K. Stern who, of course, was there in Florida with Anna Nicole when she died.

So you have to understand that eyebrows were raised today to say the least when we heard the news that Howard was actually at the home of Dr. Eroshevich when the cops came with their search warrant. Jane, what the heck was Howard K. Stern doing there today?

JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL, INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST: A.J., you can`t make this stuff up. This case, you might say, has gone to the dogs. He says basically he was in New York ironically to do an interview with Larry King on "LARRY KING LIVE," and then he flew back to Los Angeles where he had left the dogs and went to Dr. Eroshevich`s home to pick up the dog.

So the good news is he`s taking care of the dogs, which, in fact, he was asked about on "LARRY KING LIVE," what happened to Anna Nicole Smith`s dogs? He said --- remember Sugar Pie, I`m taking care of those animals.

So yes, there is evidence he is taking care of those animals, but the question is, is there some kind of nefarious relationship between him and this psychiatrist, both of whom have been under such tremendous scrutiny? Both of whom were very involved in Anna Nicole Smith`s life? And we don`t have the answer to that question. We have to tread very carefully there.

HAMMER: Yes, we do. And I have to say that even though that is the excuse that was given, man, when I heard that, that`s like the dog ate my homework kind of thing. That was the first thing that came to my mind.

Speaking of the Larry King interview that Howard K. Stern was in New York to do just a couple of nights ago, when this happened, when Larry spoke exclusively with Howard K. Stern, Larry had to ask him why his name was in fact on Anna`s prescriptions to begin with.

I want you to watch how Howard K. Stern responded.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HOWARD K. STERN, ANNA NICOLE SMITH COMPANION: They were prescriptions that were made for Anna but they were put in my name to protect her privacy, but they were through doctors trying to look out for her health.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Ashleigh Banfield from COURT TV, what do you think the investigators are looking for here?

ASHLEIGH BANFIELD, COURT TV: I think they are looking for a whole lot of stuff. But I will also weigh in on that last question, because we had already learned quite some time ago that Dr. Eroshevich was a friend of Anna Nicole`s, which would be the question he probably would be a friend of Howard K. Stern`s since they almost lived together.

It could be something less nefarious there, could be something more. And I think that, A.J., leads to your next question. Maybe they are looking for that nexus. Maybe they are looking for something that shows communication that`s maybe not just friendly but perhaps conspiratorial. I`m not sure.

I think they are just looking for anything they can get because this was so high profile and nobody wanted to leave stones unturned. But you can bet your bottom dollar that there is going to be so much for them to go through with that many warrants.

HAMMER: Yes. And even if there was nothing nefarious with that whole dog excuse, you have got to admit, as Jane said, man, you just can`t make this stuff up.

BANFIELD: It is weird.

HAMMER: It is really weird. Well, Dr. Eroshevich not the only doctor who was served today. Another one of the doctors served with a warrant, Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, you may remember that name, because that is the doctor who reportedly had prescribed Anna Nicole with methadone when she was eight months pregnant.

B.J., as long as those prescriptions were legal, should that doctor have anything to worry about?

B.J. BERNSTEIN, DEFENSE ATTORNEY: Well, he has got to look not just at the legality of giving of the prescriptions, but the amount and how he did it. And that`s where the medical -- you know, it`s appropriate that the attorney general`s office is looking at this and issuing a search warrant.

And I want to say on the point about Howard K. Stern, remember, you know, there is a lot of speculation here. There was no search of Howard`s residence. This is only a search of the doctor`s. And I think that`s important. Instead of saying that there`s some sort of conspiracy theory here, you need to take a step back.

And the reality is this, if there are doctors who are falsely prescribing medications, I have had to work on a number of those cases. It has been a serious problem in the United States of people who are addicted and part of the addiction comes from the doctors.

Clearly the focus today was the doctors, not Howard K. Stern.

HAMMER: And they have been.

ALLRED: And, A.J., may I just say too that, of course, an issue is the prescription and also the dispensing of the drugs. And it appears that Anna Nicole died from perhaps a lethal combination of drugs, and that she was taking antidepressants, human growth hormone and perhaps some other things as well.

And so I do think that there is a good reason for the search warrant. That doesn`t mean that there will be a prosecution, but certainly the number of drugs that were found or prescribed and not found or perhaps prescribed under a different name would lead to a serious investigation.

HAMMER: Well, and they have been looking at these doctors, we should point out, for several months at this point. And, Gloria, I`m curious to get your take, though, on exactly what you think they have uncovered, because you pointed out earlier that the D.A. is the one who has to file the charges here. But there is a lot of evidence involved.

The attorney general kept referring to these 100,000 files that were found on various computers related to the case. Now, this is going on eight months after Anna Nicole`s death, Gloria, so do you think maybe there is some kind of smoking gun that they have uncovered here?

ALLRED: Well, I think that there`s a lot to investigate. And of course, the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance is also investigating at least one of the doctors, we know. And so they have a lot to go through before they make any decisions about whether or not to prosecute.

HAMMER: Well, during that court battle for Anna Nicole`s daughter, Dannielynn, you remember we saw that very disturbing home video of Anna Nicole when she was eight months pregnant wearing the clown face and acting, I don`t know, like she was stoned out of her mind basically.

Let`s watch what Howard K. Stern told Larry King the other night about that video which I found so strange, watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

STERN: It`s about an hour-long video and what they did is they cut it down into about 45 seconds to make it appear that Anna is on drugs, when in reality, Anna is pretending to be a little girl, and it`s just edited to make me look bad and to make Anna look bad. It`s horrible.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Jane Velez-Mitchell, that may very well be the truth as Howard K. Stern sees it, but don`t you think it just kind of adds to the suspicions that there was more indeed to Anna Nicole`s death than we really know so far?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, of course. Any time you look at a video tape, you obviously have to extrapolate, and we can`t extrapolate with 100 percent certainty she was on drugs and now Howard K. Stern is saying, no, she wasn`t on drugs.

But certainly there has been a general consensus that she had some kind of drug problem. She died of accidental drug overdose. There were drugs in her system. There were drugs in her hotel room. There were many, many reports of her engaging in behavior that appeared to be drug-addled.

So it`s clear that there was some kind of problem there. Who is responsible for it or was it simply Anna Nicole Smith`s responsibility and she is the one to blame? We don`t have the answers to that. But I`m really happy that the authorities finally, eight months after she died, are taking action.

HAMMER: I`m happy to hear that too. But man, was I surprised when this broke earlier today, that this case is going to be around for some time to come. Gloria, Ashleigh, Jane and B.J., I appreciate your being with us tonight.

ANDERSON: All right. Well, I know Anna Nicole loved the paparazzi and the attention that she got. But other stars, well, they just hate them. Tonight, Orlando Bloom is blaming the pap for a frightening car crash that sent people to the hospital. I`ve got the disturbing details coming up.

Also, this startling look at Britney Spears and the paparazzi.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ALICIA QUARLES, ASSOCIATED PRESS: This is a typical day in the life of Britney Spears. The girl can`t even walk down the aisles of a Target without being bum-rushed.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Photographers stalking her every move, her privacy is just absolutely gone. So I`ve got to ask, should the paparazzi leave Britney alone? And is all this over-the-top, out-of-control attention actually making Britney`s problems worse? That`s coming up next.

ANDERSON: A.J., you know some stars have absolutely had it with the paparazzi and the Hollywood craziness. They are so sick of it, I can`t blame them, though it does come with the territory. But tonight, why some stars might be packing their bags and leaving Tinseltown for any other town? My SHOWBIZ special report, "Sick of Hollywood," 30 past the hour.

HAMMER: But first, here is tonight`s SHOWBIZ news quiz. According to Forbes magazine, which of these was the most expensive celebrity photo purchased by a magazine? Was it Britney Spears` son, Sean Preston`s first photo? Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher`s wedding? Larry Birkhead with daughter Dannielynn? Or Shiloh Jolie Pitt`s first photo? Don`t go anywhere, the answer coming up after this.

Plus, why it might be time for the paparazzi to back off Britney.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Again, tonight, SHOWBIZ news quiz. According to Forbes magazine, which of these is the most expensive celebrity photo purchased by a magazine? Britney Spears` son Sean Preston`s first photo? Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher`s wedding? Larry Birkhead with daughter Dannielynn? Or Shiloh Jolie Pitt`s first photo?

It is Shiloh, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt`s daughter. People magazine reportedly paid more than 4 million bucks for the pictures which were in the June 2006 issue.

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m Brooke Anderson.

Well, Britney`s Sean Preston photos did cost a lot, People magazine also reportedly plunked down a half million for them. But little Sean`s mom is still a big draw for photographers. Britney Spears can`t pump gas, get a coffee, even go to the store without a loud aggressive and scary army of Paparazzi stalking her. So tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is asking, is it really necessary for so many people to follow this woman? Is it time for the paparazzi to leave Britney alone?

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON (voice-over): Britney Spears` appearance at her custody hearing Thursday was a major media spectacle, with dozens of photographers literally running into the streets to get a shot as she frantically drove away. But Britney`s appearance in court was nowhere near the madhouse as her appearance at Target?

As this video from tmz.com shows, the swarm of paparazzi that surrounds Britney never, ever lets up, even when she runs the most mundane of errands, at least 20 guys screaming and literally falling all over each other just to get her picture.

TYLER GRAY, RADAR MAGAZINE: It`s open season on Britney now.

ANDERSON: The mess gets worse once Britney gets inside the Target. Britney can`t even walk to the clothing section without photographers blocking her way. And as the paparazzi snaps pictures, Britney just snaps.

QUARLES: This is a typical day in life of Britney Spears. The girl can`t even walk down the aisles of a Target without being bum-rushed.

ANDERSON: This scene follows Britney everywhere she goes. When she leaves her house.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You are beautiful, Britney.

ANDERSON: And even at a convenience store at the inconvenience of a fellow shopper.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Regular person coming through. Get out of my (expletive deleted) way!

ANDERSON: A major madhouse, all to snap a picture of a star who is already one of the most photographed women in the world.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You`re gorgeous, Britney.

BRITNEY SPEARS, POP STAR: I know.

ANDERSON: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is asking, is it really necessary for an entire army of photographers to follow Britney around constantly 24 hours a day, seven days a week? Should the paparazzi cool it and follow the command of that infamous YouTube ranter.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Leave Britney alone!

ANDERSON: Even strangers who aren`t even Britney fans are saying enough is enough. At the Target madhouse, a fellow shopper tried to shoo away the paparazzi. And another woman did the same when paparazzi swarmed Britney`s car at a Starbucks.

QUARLES: This is how she lives her life every single day. You`ve got to feel kind of sorry for her.

ANDERSON: But while people may be registering their distaste with Britney`s stalkerazzi (ph) on the streets, they are also registering their approval at the newsstand by buying the many magazines that feature these paparazzi photos of Britney.

GRAY: Britney still sells magazines. And you will ask any editor about that and they will tell you that it is true.

ANDERSON: Tyler Gray of Radar magazine tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that the public appetite for all things Britney insures that paparazzi by the dozens will keep trying to get that Britney money shot.

GRAY: If the market didn`t support 20 or 30 paparazzi out there shooting pictures, there wouldn`t be 20 or 30.

ANDERSON: Of course, we consumers aren`t the only one to blame. After all, Britney is the one who has made herself a much more attractive paparazzi target than other possibly bigger stars.

QUARLES: Lots of (INAUDIBLE) that they follow, a Jessica Biel or a Scarlett Johansson, those girls probably aren`t going to act crazy and make them big money, but Britney Spears mostly likely will. She brings a lot of the stalking and the paparazzi (INAUDIBLE) onto herself.

ANDERSON And that could be the reason her life is in shambles right now.

QUARLES: Part of the reason that she got the kids taken away from her is because there was video of her driving around with her two boys you without a valid California driver`s license taken by the paparazzi. All of those shots of her crotch with no underwear on, all of the shots of her partying, all of the shots of her cutting her hair, doing all of this crazy behavior all came from paparazzi.

ANDERSON: And it`s clear that Britney`s consistent antics have made it possible for photographers by the dozen to make a good living.

GRAY: It`s a lottery ticket that these guys are buying. Every time they go out there, they are buying a lottery ticket in what could be their giant payday.

QUARLES: I don`t think the paparazzi should back off. I think Britney Spears needs to clean up her act. If Britney Spears cleans it up, we will stop sucking up all the Britney Spears tabloids and drama and let the girl get back to her real life.

ANDERSON: But unless Britney does get her life together and stop squirting the paparazzi, she will continue to feed the mouth that bites her.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: Oh, this just in, Britney Spears is also a recording artist. With all the craziness, it`s easy to forget that, right? All right. People magazine running an exclusive first look at her new album. Here it is. It`s called "Blackout" and will be out on October 30th.

HAMMER: Now we would like very much to hear from you for our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day. Here is what we want to know. Britney Spears, should the paparazzi leave her alone? You can vote at cnn.com/showbiztonight or e-mail us at showbiztonight@cnn.com.

ANDERSON: Well, A.J., the paparazzi under fire from Orlando Bloom. Tonight, he is blaming them for a scary car crash that sent two people to the hospital. I`ve got to tell you, and I hope this never happens, but some day somebody is going to get really hurt, even killed. I`ve got the frightening details of Orlando`s accident next.

And other stars, well, they might just leave town.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOSH HARTNETT, ACTOR: I moved back to Minnesota when I first started to like really have a lot of the paparazzi chasing me. It is a circus, you know, and like, if you can, you know, pull yourself away.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I hear you, Josh Hartnett. With all the paparazzi and the craziness, plenty of stars are sick of Hollywood. You can understand why. Tonight, why some stars might be packing their bags and leaving Tinseltown for any other town. A SHOWBIZ special report, "Sick of Hollywood."

ANDERSON: Also tonight, the anorexic model who posed for the shocking ad campaign that caused a huge worldwide controversy finally speaking out. That`s straight ahead.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Monday on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, steamy scenes on the small screen. Have you noticed, there is a whole lot more sex on TV than ever before. Some of the new shows are really incredibly graphic. Are TV shows crossing the line? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT investigates sex on TV, Monday.

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.

Orlando Bloom goes boom. Tonight, a very scary car accident for the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star that sent two people to the hospital. And Orlando is blaming the paparazzi. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that Bloom was driving in Hollywood early this morning when he swerved after another car cut him off. Bloom bashed into two parked cars.

No alcohol or drugs were involved, but Bloom thinks he was being followed by the paparazzi and believes and believes that the car that cut him of was, in fact, a photographer. No word yet on if that`s true, but police are trying to find that SUV that allegedly fled the scene.

Now, Orlando wasn`t hurt himself, but two women in the car with him were. One got cut by her seat belt. The other actually suffered a fractured neck. No arrests have been made yet. It has been ruled an accident.

And you know, Orlando Bloom definitely not the only star to be worried about the paparazzi. Tonight, with all the craziness, so many celebrities are absolutely "Sick of Hollywood." And even though I think sometimes it comes with the (INAUDIBLE), things are totally out of hand.

So tonight, why some of the biggest names out there are completely fed up and why they might be packing their bags and leaving Tinseltown for any other town. My SHOWBIZ special report, "Sick of Hollywood," coming up next.

And these pictures break my heart. Tonight, the anorexic model who posed for the shocking ad campaign that caused a huge worldwide controversy. This model finally speaking out, coming up.

And Janet Jackson opens up about her weight issues.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JANET JACKSON, POP STAR: There are certain people that handle certain issues. They shy away from food and then there are others that food comforts them. And I am one of those people.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Janet Jackson opening up to me like never before about her up and down weight struggle. It`s the interview only you will see on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. That`s coming up.

(NEWSBREAK)

HAMMER: On SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, sick of Hollywood.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOSH HARTNETT, ACTOR: I moved back to Minnesota when I first started to really have a lot of paparazzi chasing me. It`s a circus, you know. If you can, you know, pull yourself away.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Why are so many A-listers saying they have had it with life in La-La Land? Tonight, a SHOWBIZ special report, sick of Hollywood.

Also, an anorexic model shocker. The woman who weighs less than 70 pounds and posed for these controversial pictures speaks out about why she did it. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the shocking and disturbing photos and what she`s saying about them now.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT for Friday night. It`s 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.

ANDERSON: I`m Brooke Anderson coming to you tonight from Hollywood. You are watching TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. Tonight, we have got a SHOWBIZ special report; stars sick of Hollywood. While Britney Spears continues to be the center of attention for the paparazzi in Hollywood, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can now reveal that more and more stars are saying I`ve had it with Hollywood. Tonight, it`s our SHOWBIZ special report, sick of Hollywood.

With us tonight in Hollywood Howard Bragman, publicist and founder of 15 Minutes Public Relations. In New York, Janelle Snowden, the red carpet correspondent for VH-1 news. Also in New York, author and commentator, Kelly Goff.

OK, why don`t we kick this off with actor Josh Hartnett. He`s starring in the new film "30 Days of Night." He`s perhaps a perfect idea of stars who have had it. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT caught up with him and he is very, very blunt with how he feels.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HARTNETT: I moved back to Minnesota when I first started to have a lot of paparazzi chasing me and stayed there for years. And I just don`t think that it`s necessary to, you know, have the public know every detail of your life for you to have a career in this business. So if I can stay out of it, I will.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Howard, what do you think, does Josh speak for a lot of stars in Hollywood who are sick and tired of the entire scene?

HOWARD BRAGMAN, 15 MINUTES PR: Absolutely. We know that the intensity of the paparazzi, the loss of privacy, everything is just speeded up over these last few years. At the same time, Brooke, there`s a bit of a love/hate relationship with Hollywood. They want to get away from the congestion and all those things. But at the same time, they want a little bit of the glitz and glamour. They want to go to the gifting lounges. They want to make sure they are around for the audition.

And unless you`re an absolute superstar who can choose his projects, it`s very hard not to live in L.A. and have to do your work, because you`ve got to be able available to meet with people. This town is all about meetings, right?

ANDERSON: Right, you know, and it`s very difficult -- you make a good point -- to be able to pick and choose who when you do want the attention. Janelle, you are VH1`s red carpet maven. You caught up with Eva Mendez at the premier of her now film, "We Own the Night," and she was absolutely baffled by why stars have to be followed everywhere in Hollywood. Listen to what she had to say.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

EVA MENDEZ, ACTRESS: I can understand if you are doing something adventurous or something exciting. But really, going to Whole Foods is really interesting? Putting gas in your car is -- since when? I just think it`s mindless and it`s actually sad that our society really wants to see that.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Janelle, has it turned into an uncontrollable feeding frenzy that stars can`t even live a normal life in Hollywood anymore, whatever normal is.

JANELLE SNOWDEN, VH-1: That`s the question. What is normal? On the one hand you have celebrities that are tipping of the paparazzi, saying here`s where I`m going to be eating. Here`s where I`m going to be drinking. Then you have those that absolutely want nothing to do with it. I think when you enter the business, there has to be an understanding that certain things come with the territory.

But at the same time, I do agree with Eva, in the sense that things really have gotten out of control now. You can`t go anywhere. I was recently talking to John Maier at our VH-1 Saving the Music Foundation benefit and he joked that he can`t even have a dirty thought without TMZ being there to capture it.

KELLY GOFF, AUTHOR AND COMMENTATOR: Brooke, I think there`s a bigger issue here though that celebrities don`t really like to talk about, which is the fact that you can`t really have it both ways. I think a lot of celebrities try to. What I mean by that is you take people like Jodi Foster or Robert Deniro. They say I`m not going to talk about my personal life, who I`m dating, where I have lunch. I just don`t discuss it. For them, the trade of is maybe they don`t get the cover of "Good Housekeeping," but they`re willing to make that trade off and protect their privacy as a result.

A lot of celebrities want to be on the cover of "Redbook" when their marriage is going well. When it`s not, they way, I want my privacy.

ANDERSON: Right, and you don`t see Jodi Foster at the gifting suites and trying to get all the swag and at all the big clubs and parties, like Howard mentioned. Nobody knows better about being surrounded by the paparazzi than Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. In fact, Brad told "Parade Magazine" that the paparazzi drove him, Angelina and the kids out of Hollywood.

Listen to what he had to say: "My two-year-old rMD+IN_rMDNM_dreads being anyplace there are cameras. It scares her. They`re all in her face. My kids are faced with this every day. It`s disgusting. So we`ve been run out of L.A., all the major cities. We just can`t live there. You don`t understand. This is the hunt, the hunt, the hunt. I thought it might be over a year ago. It`s gotten worse."

Kelly, I want to go back to you. Wherever Brad and Angelina go, wherever they are, they are stalked by the paparazzi. So why do you think he`s singling out Hollywood? Is it worse there?

GOFF: I think what he`s really pointing to again is a bigger point, which is that in some ways it`s a choice. As a celebrity you have a choice. What I mean by that is you look at someone like Julia Roberts, who completely relocated to -- I believe it`s New Mexico, and as a result, you don`t see as many pictures of her on the tabloids. And yes, Brangelina is always going to be followed. But they are traveling around doing a lot of high profile projects, whether it`s UNICEF work or shooting a film.

If they probably decamped -- just as an example, like President Bush did -- he would decamp to a ranch in Crawford, where there`s one hotel. At a certain point, all the media outlets are not going to stay in Crawford for two months. He knew that and took advantage of that. That`s what people like Julia do.

I actually wanted to say, really quickly, it`s interesting listening to Josh Hartnett talk, because, if I remember correctly -- you would know better than I would Brooke -- I think It`s his ex-girlfriend, Scarlett Johansson, who once joked on "The Tonight Show" -- she said look, I got sick and tired of people photographing me as I tried to purchase feminine products, so I just moved.

ANDERSON: You know, something`s got to be the breaking point, I suppose. And you know what happens to Britney Spears every single day I think really illustrates what all of these stars are talking about. Take a look at this video from Hollywood.TV. Completely swarmed by photographers. You would think she were at a premiere. But no, she was just trying to go to Target. Howard, is that the perfect example of why stars feel they can`t live a normal life here in Hollywood?

BRAGMAN: Well, there`s a certain irony to the whole thing, Brooke. I have actually clients who live in the same gated subdivision. They`re Academy Award winners, huge TV stars. No one bothers them. Part of it is the culture of paparazzi and how much money they make for a photo. But the other part is how she lives her life. She never fails to give them something stupid and juicy and interesting. If she was more boring, they would be gone. But she`s not. She likes that. She lives for that.

ANDERSON: I know, but I still think the paparazzi took it too far by going inside the Target. It`s just too much. Let me move now really quickly, Kelly, to Orlando Bloom, because, very serious here, he was involved in a car accident. A couple of people with him were hurt. And he claims it happened because the paparazzi were chasing him in L.A. Janelle, do you think it`s not only gotten uncomfortable for stars, but at times, downright dangerous.

SNOWDEN: Absolutely. Have we not learned -- I know there are conspiracy theories. but let`s look at Princess Diana. I think at the moment when the paparazzi starts causing crashes, it`s gone way out of control. Like, there has to be a certain point where we say, you know what, we just don`t care. I agree with what Eva said earlier. Really, do you really need to know what I`m putting in my grocery cart and do you really need to know what kind of gas I`m pumping?

At a certain point, it`s just like, come on, that`s not going to make me any more like you. The bottom line is I`m a celebrity and you`re not. Get over it.

ANDERSON: You`re right about that. We don`t have to know what they put in their grocery carts. Very quickly, Kelly, Jennifer Aniston told "Harper`s Bazarre" she`s considering moving to New York. You live there. Do you think stars feel they are not so much in a fish bowl there?

GOFF: Interestingly enough, I think that`s where Scarlett Johansson said she was choosing over L.A. I guess the point she was making was, you know -- we all know how bad the traffic is here. At a certain point a paparazzi person just can`t chase you, due to the logistic of New York traffic, the realities of it.

ANDERSON: Follow that cab! Follow that cab! Thank you all for your insight. Unfortunately, we have to end it there. We appreciate you all being there. Kelly Goff, Howard Bragman, Janelle Snowden, thank you.

HAMMER: We`ve been asking you to vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day. Britney Spears, should the paparazzi leave her alone? Keep voting at CNN.com/SHOWBIZTONIGHT. You can also write to us at SHOWBIZTONIGHT@CNN.com. We will read some of the e-mails on Monday.

ANDERSON: They were the photos that shocked the world; an anorexic model weighing less than 70 pounds posted on billboards. Tonight, that woman speaking out about why she agreed to be part of the campaign. That is next right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. We`re also going to have this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JANET JACKSON, SINGER: There are certain people that handle certain issues. She shy away from food. And there are others that food comforts them. And I`m one of those people.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Janet Jackson opens up to me like never before about her struggles with weight and why she`s decided to write a book all about the ups and downs she deals with. Janet Jackson just ahead in the interview you`ll see only on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

And after all Halle Berry has been through in the romance department, it is so great to see her happy these days. Coming up, what Halle told me about how she and a boyfriend make their relationship work. You won`t want to miss it.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Tonight, the anorexic woman who posed for billboards that shocked the world is speaking out about the controversial campaign. Isabelle Caro (ph) is 25 years old, weighs less than 70 pounds. She is the woman who was the subject of an Italian campaign to raise awareness about anorexia in the fashion industry. The graphic, disturbing images made jaws drop in Milan and all over the world. On "The Early Show" today, Isabelle, who is French, talked about why she wanted to be part of this campaign.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ISABELLE CARO, MODEL (through translator): I have been anorexic since I was 13. I thought if I can put my years of suffering to use than it would not have been pointless. I hope the message got through. I know there has been a lot of criticism because it`s a shocking photo, and I want it to shock. It`s really a warning this is a serious illness.

(END VIDEO CLIP

ANDERSON: Since the photos were taken, Isabelle has been getting treatment for her anorexia. She has gained four pounds. So she`s up to 66 pounds.

HAMMER: Superstar Janet Jackson is opening up like never before about her own dramatic weight gains and losses. She is even getting set to write a book all about it. Jackson starring in Tyler Perry`s new movie called "Why Did I Get Married?" It`s all about couples who endure the trials and tribulations of marriage. When I asked Jackson about her own views on marriage and what she would do if boyfriend Jermaine Dupris got down on bended knee, she gave me what I thought was a rather surprising answer. Directly Tyler Perry you will see sitting right beside Jackson for the interview. He told me that the reason he wanted to make this movie about marriage was not because of a girlfriend but because of his guy friends.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TYLER PERRY, DIRECTOR: I think a lot of people have asked that question, why did I get married. This movie was born out of me counseling a lot of my friends who called me in the middle of the night, saying, why did I get married? This is what`s happening now. What do I do? I put all of that, my own little advice in this film. I think that as people watch it, they will walk away with hope.

HAMMER: Janet, you yourself have been married in life. Not married now. You have been in this long-term relationship with Jermaine Dupris. How important do you see the institution of marriage being, in terms of defining commitment?

JACKSON: Well, it`s different for everyone. And for myself, I feel that I really don`t need the certificate to validate what it is that we have. I`m very strong on it being spiritual and I believe in soul mates. And I believe we have more than one, and to exchange vows between one another. And that`s what I like.

HAMMER: See, I`m right there with you on that. However, I`ve got to ask, if Jermaine were to get down on one knee and make the most romantic proposal in the world, what do you think would happen?

JACKSON: I don`t know. I guess I will cross that bridge if I ever come to it. But you know, I`m not opposed to it. But that works for me. So if he would like something more, I`m not opposed to it.

HAMMER: Well, Janet, you do have a lot going on with this movie, of course. You have your music, of course. And you`ve been talking about writing a book dealing with the struggles that you have had with the ups and downs with your weight. Why did you feel the need to get involved with a book like that?

JACKSON: A lot of people came to me asking me questions about it and wanted to know more about it, and what I was going through, and where my mind was at different stages of my life with the weight loss and gain. And, you know, I`ve always been to helping people. And this is just another way of doing that. So hopefully it will help those who might be struggling, having some issues as, you know, I have.

HAMMER: It really is something that so many people obviously identify. Did you ever get to the point where you got mad at yourself, either for gaining weight or even mad at yourself for obsessing about the ups and downs?

JACKSON: Mad at myself? Yes.

HAMMER: Some people get very down on themselves.

JACKSON: For the gain. There were moments where I did get upset with myself.

HAMMER: And what did you say? Did you come around and say, you know what, this is how I am; this is who I am?

JACKSON: You know, it`s for different reasons for everyone. There are certain people that handle certain issues. They shy away from food. And then there are others that food comforts them. And I`m one of those people. If there is something going a little wrong in the relationship -- so it all depends on -- for some people, for myself, I really should speak about, what it is that`s going on in my life.

PERRY: Jill Scott in this movie, she has a character that`s the same way. She gains a lot of weight in her marriage because of -- she`s an emotional eater and she`s unhappy. So Janet could absolutely relate to that. And so could I, because I want a pizza right now.

HAMMER: Well, I hope everything is OK in your life. This is a good time for you.

PERRY: No, it`s really great. Just a lot of stress promoting a movie. But it`s really great. A good pizza won`t hurt.

HAMMER: No, a good pizza never hurts, especially if you get the toppings just right.

PERRY: Absolutely.

HAMMER: You two have obviously both seen a lot in Hollywood. You have been around the block, so to speak. And you have seen the ups and the downs that all stars seem to encounter at some point. And, you know, right now obviously a lot of talk about Britney Spears. There`s no better example at the moment of somebody who was on top of the world and now is having a really hard time. Tyler, I`m just curious from your experience and what you have personally been through, and now seeing what she`s kind of going through, do you have any kind of I don`t know, words of wisdom for how she may be able to sort of turn this thing around? Because everybody is really pulling for her right now.

PERRY: You know, my only issue with it is I don`t know what`s going on. I mean, you can see it and you can see it on television. You can hear about it. But you don`t know really what`s going on, because what I found, being in this position, you really never know what`s going on in somebody`s private life. I don`t really know how much of this is real and how much is the media. So I have no advice for her, because I don`t know what`s true.

I do understand she`s is having some issues with her children, but to the other part of it, I don`t really get into it very much.

HAMMER: And Janet, from the standpoint of, you know, she really, hopefully will be able to snap it back with the release of her new album in a couple of weeks, do you have any thoughts?

JACKSON: Well, hopefully she will. But once again, I have to agree with Tyler. I think everyone is being so judgmental. But they haven`t walked in her shoes, and they really don`t know what`s going on inside of her. So I really don`t like to comment about it.

PERRY: I will tell you this, though, I will send a prayer up for her, for her and her family.

JACKSON: For sure. I actually have been.

HAMMER: And Janet, to your point, that is truly one of the toughest parts of being in the spotlight. Everybody thinks they know exactly who you are. They think they know what you`re going through and make all these judgments and decisions on your life based on what they see in the media. Has that been a very difficult thing for you all these years?

JACKSON: I think everyone in this industry goes through that. You are in the public eye and people do pass judgment and you can`t believe everything that you read or that you see.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Tyler Perry also told me that Janet dispelled all those myths about working with a superstar because she never exhibited any kind of diva behavior on his set. "Why Did I Get Married" is in theaters today.

Well, Halle Berry has certainly had her troubles in the romance department. But she seems so happy these days, expecting her first child with her boyfriend Gabrielle Aubrey. When I sat down with Halle, she really opened up to me about how they make their relationship work. That is next.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. It`s time for Making it Work. This is where we take a look at famous couples who find a way to build strong and long lasting relationships in Hollywood. Now, like so many people, Halle Berry has had a tumultuous history when it comes to romance. But now it seems she`s on top of the world. She is so happy with her boyfriend, a model named Gabriel Aubrey, and they are expecting their first child together.

When I sat down with Halle recently, I asked her how they make their relationship work. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HALLE BERRY, ACTRESS: There are some things that we do try to keep personal. We do try to live a very normal life. It`s away from all the lights, camera, action, and we try to find some sense of normalcy, while realizing that part of this life that I`ve chosen, to be an actor, and he doing what he does, brings a certain amount of spotlight to our everyday life. So we try to find a way to juggle it, not fight against it, because it is what it is. But we do try to find a way to have our personal life and we try to protect that the best way we can.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: She is such a lovely person. You can see Halle Berry`s performance, very powerful one, in the new movie "Things We Lost to The Fire." It`s going to be in theaters next Friday, October 19th.

ANDERSON: Yesterday we asked you to vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day. It was this; Britney spears, should she get her kids back? Only 20 percent of you say yes; 80 percent of you say no, she shouldn`t get her kids back.

Here are some of the e-mails we received: Norma from Virginia says, "children need a mature adult to care for them. Britney has not proven that she is mature or stable."

Betsy from Colorado says, "I think it`s appalling that she is being crucified for her parenting. Half the parents out there have done what she has done, and they are going to get away with it."

HAMMER: It is time now to find out what is coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. And on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT this weekend, the amazing transformation of Brad Pitt. Wait until you see what we`ve dug up from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT archives. It`s one of Brad`s very first TV interviews. This is when he was brand new to Hollywood. So how did he go from starry eyed kid to mega-superstar? The transformation of Brad Pitt tomorrow and Sunday on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

And Monday on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, steamy scenes on the small screen. There`s a whole lot more sex on TV than ever before. Have you noticed some new shows are really incredibly graphic. Are TV shows crossing the lines? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT investigates sex on TV Monday.

That`s it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Thanks a lot for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

ANDERSON: Have a great weekend everybody. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. Glenn Beck coming up next, right after the latest headlines from CNN headline news. Take care.
