A.J. HAMMER, CO-HOST: Stars fight back. Why they`re saying stop calling me fat. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.
BROOKE ANDERSON, CO-HOST: And Ryan Phillippe speaks out how he really feels about seeing his ex-wife, Reese Witherspoon with Jake Gyllenhaal. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. TV`s most provocative entertainment news show starts right now.

HAMMER: On SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, a Richie Sambora shocker. Heather Locklear`s ex arrested for DUI with their kid in the car. What was he thinking?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KATIE DARYL, TMZ.TV: Richie`s feeling the pain, I think.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Tonight, has the Bon Jovi rocker hit rock bottom? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the stunning arrest that has rocked Hollywood.

She`s hot. He`s not. The celebrity couples that made us say, huh? The woman, gorgeous. The man - well, not so much. And we`ve got the mismatched twosome who really takes the cake. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, with the most confounding star couples ever.

Plus, K-Fed`s confession. Could Kevin Federline and Britney Spears be getting back together?

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Hello, I`m A.J. Hammer, broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.

ANDERSON: Hi there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson coming you from Hollywood. And tonight, the Hollywood fat fight. Carnie Wilson`s startling new revelations about gaining back so much weight despite her gastric bypass surgery. But when stars talk about their weight, are they doing more harm than good? That`s coming up.

HAMMER: But first, tonight, I`ve got to tell you, we thought we had heard it all about stars getting arrested for DUI. Well tonight, you can add Bon Jovi`s Richie Sambora to the busted list. But hang on just a second, the thing gets even worse. There was a child in the car with him, reportedly his own child - the child he had with his now ex-wife Heather Locklear. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT bringing the disturbing details on the still-developing story.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice over): We know the rock n roll life style is supposed to be hard. It makes for better song writing material. But the life of Bon Jovi guitarist, Richie Sambora, is starting to look like a really, really sad song.

DARYL: We`ve seen divorces. We`ve seen in and out of rehab stints. Seriously, how much can this guy take?

HAMMER: Now Sambora has to deal with this. Sambora has been arrested for investigation of DUI in Laguna Beach, California.

DARYL: Tuesday night, Richie Sambora was pulled over because his black Hummer was swerving all over the road according to police reports.

HAMMER: Think it can`t get worse? Think again. Ava, Sambora`s 10- year-old daughter with ex-wife Heather Locklear reportedly was in the car at the time. Katie Daryl of TMZ tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Locklear could not have been happy.

DARYL: I can only imagine what Heather was thinking. I mean who wants to find out your ex was pulled over for a DUI after several stints in rehab. But then to learn that your child was with him - I mean, talk about a shocker.

HAMMER: Sambora has a history of substance abuse troubles and SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you this arrest continues an amazing run of bad times for Sambora.

DARYL: Richie`s feeling the pain, I think.

HAMMER: February of 2006, Locklear filed for divorce after 11 years of marriage. Then, Sambora manages to complicate the situation even further.

DARYL: When Richie and Heather first split, Richie then ran into the arms of Heather`s best friend Denise Richards. Ugh.

HAMMER: March of 2007, after almost a year in that Hollywood triangle, Sambora and Richards break up. The next month, his divorce from Locklear was finalized and later that month, his father died of cancer.

Then, last June, Sambora entered detox for what`s described as an alcohol problem that reportedly began causing problems for the band he helped build.

JON BON JOVI, SINGER: He`s fine. He`s going to be great.

HAMMER: At the time, Jon Bon Jovi told me he was optimistic about his friend`s future.

BON JOVI: Look, he knows it`s one day at a time right now. He is going to be just fine.

HAMMER: But now, in addition to possible DUI charges, Sambora may also face child endangerment charges.

DARYL: I mean endangering your life and those on the road. But then going ahead and blatantly putting your child at risk - I mean, what are you thinking?

HAMMER: It looks like Richie Sambora`s rough road continues.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: There is a lot to be outraged here. Richie Sambora could be in some deep, deep trouble.

Joining me tonight from Hollywood, CNN entertainment correspondent Kareen Wynter. Also in Hollywood tonight, Darren Kavinoky, attorney for the Kavinoky law firm.

All right. Darren , Kareen, you know, we have seen so many shocking celebrity DUI stories. Of course, we had Nicole Richie driving the wrong way on the freeway. We had Mel Gibson with the drunk, racial rant. But I`ve got to say allegedly driving under the influence, reportedly with a kid in the car. Kareen, I don`t know about you. I think this is the most outrageous and egregious of them all?

KAREEN WYNTER, CNN ENTERTAINMENT CORRESPONDENT: Absolutely. This one beyond takes the cake, A.J. I mean Richie, Richie, Richie, what were you thinking here? They`re just allegations at this point. He hasn`t been charged, but if you`re stupid enough, A.J., to get behind the wheel, you know what? Do it alone; don`t bring one. Don`t bring two young lives into the picture and it`s probably a good thing that he got pulled over when he did. You don`t know what could have happened that night.

HAMMER: It just bums me out so much because Richie is a good guy who`s done some really stupid things and got in a lot of trouble for it. We know that just because you get arrested for DUI doesn`t mean you`re going to get thrown in the slammer.

Darren, let me ask you. As a legal matter with the possibility of this child endangerment charge, could Richie get locked up?

DARREN KAVINOKY, ATTORNEY, KAVINOKY LAW FIRM: Well, if Charlie Sheen is still working the Richie Sambora voodoo doll, there`s a better possibility. Just because you`ve been arrested for DUI doesn`t even mean that you`re guilty of DUI so let`s keep that in mind.

And of course, Richie did opt to take a blood test which you are legally able to do in California and we still don`t know the results of that. All of that said, if he is guilty of driving under the influence, and he is charged and convicted of child endangerment, it`s very, very likely that he`ll do jail time and it could be serious jail time.

HAMMER: Yes, because you just have to think this is exactly the type of cases that judges love to throw the book at, and for good reason if it`s all proven to be true. And I`d have to imagine, as we pointed out, Sambora`s ex-wife, Heather Locklear - man she has got to be furious.

Kareen, let me ask you, would you at all be surprised if Heather Locklear went down to the courthouse and asked that Sambora not even be allowed anywhere near their kid, again, should this all unfold to be true.

WYNTER: Absolutely not. This is simple. I`d be beyond furious and I`m sure she is. And you know what? Don`t feel sorry for Richie here. This may be the wake-up call that he needs. Putting their child in danger, just beyond something that I can comprehend.

So you bet that must be something in the back of her mind. She`d better watch out. But you know, that`s the least of his problems right now. Legally, he`s going to have a lot to deal with.

HAMMER: Yes. And as I pointed out earlier, he has already been dealing with alcohol-related issues in his life before. It has, you know, certainly caused some problems with him and the band and that`s when things can get really bad when it starts to affect all different aspects of your life.

So what do you think, Darren? Could this possibly be Richie Sambora`s rock bottom here, again, assuming what is reported to have happened actually happened? Because, you know, nothing quite wakes you up like a DUI arrest and a child endangerment charge, I would imagine.

KAVINOKY: Well, you know, that`s absolutely true, A.J., especially if he were normal, but as we know, that is not the case. And that`s the sad thing about wake-up calls is sometimes people just have the ringer off. When that alarm clock goes off and they hit snooze and it takes even more for them to get the message.

So we`d look at this and say, "My goodness, this is horrible!" And this better be the wake-up call for him but things could get worse. And we love a comeback story. We love for this to be the thing that really causes him to turn his life around. But unfortunately, if he doesn`t get the message now, it will mean more time in jail, more institutions or even death to him or somebody else.

HAMMER: Well, we certainly are hoping this is his wake-up call. Kareen Wynter, Darren Kavinoky, thank you both for being with us tonight.

I want you to know that you can watch video reports from SHOWBIZ TONIGHT any time you`d like right there on our Web site. New ones are going up all the time at CNN.com/ShowbizTonight.

ANDERSON: All right, coming up, K-Fed`s confessions. That`s right. Kevin Federline is speaking out like never before about his relationship with Britney Spears. But here`s the burning question - I want to know - is there a chance that he and Britney will get back together? That`s coming up.

HAMMER: Also, Hollywood`s fat fight. Let me tell you, the stars, they are fighting back against the magazines that call them fat. Well, I give these stars a lot of credit but I want to know, are they winning the fat fight? That is on the way.

ANDERSON: And here`s something I`ve noticed. I`m sure you have, too. Let`s call it the "she`s hot, he`s not" phenomenon. They are the star couples that made us say, huh? But who is the most mismatched couple ever? That`s still to come in a showbiz special report. You don`t want to miss it.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. Tonight, Kevin Federline`s confession. And we are asking the startling question - could K-Fed reunite with ex-wife Britney Spears?

Federline is telling all about life after Britney in the new issue of "In Touch Weekly." With us in New York tonight, Carolina Bermudez, senior editor of "In Touch Weekly." And in Hollywood tonight, Ashlan Gorse, host of "E! News Now." Ashlan, Carolina, great to see you both.

And in the upcoming issue of "In Touch" magazine, Federline really opening up like never before about life since his divorce from Britney, her meltdown and dealing with their two kids. He told "In Touch" this, quote, "It is so very important to me that my children will always know and never question that no matter what happens, they have a mommy and daddy who love them very much.

And Kevin also reveals that he and Britney have become very close again. Carolina, are you getting the sense that a reunion could be in the works?

CAROLINA BERMUDEZ, SENIOR EDITOR, "IN TOUCH WEEKLY": Well, as much as people would hope for a reunion, I don`t think there`s a romantic one on the horizon. But I do think that there is a platonic relationship on the way.

Kevin has really maintained close ties to Britney`s family, and that`s because he wants to be able to coexist with her and create a stable environment for their children. These kids have lived under pretty chaotic situation lately, so definitely, he`s doing it for the kids.

ANDERSON: It is good to see that they`re putting aside their differences for the sake of the kids. And in the past, you know, Kevin was basically known for two things - being married to Britney Spears and for being a partier. Well, also for being a back-up dancer, so make that three things. He now insists he is a changed man.

Ashlan, would it be a good idea if Britney got back together with him or is there just way too much baggage there?

ASHLAN GORSE, HOST, "E! NEWS NOW": Not only is there baggage, but it`s just not really a good idea at all at this point in Britney`s life. She needs to get things together on her own. She is one of those girls who we kind of always see her with a guy. She`s been with Kevin. She was with Sam Lutfi. And then she was with Adnan, the paparazzi. She needs to get better and needs to do it herself, because that way, she won`t have to lean on anyone else.

ANDERSON: You know, in the interview with "In Touch," Kevin claims that he didn`t deserve what he calls the bad guy reputation that he had when he was married to Britney. Carolina, did we have Kevin all wrong or did we have him right and circumstances forced him to change?

BERMUDEZ: Brooke, let`s just get one thing straight. Kevin Federline is not a saint. He started dating Britney while his girlfriend was pregnant with his son. That doesn`t paint a good picture of him.

But has really stepped up to the plate as a responsible parent. As you know, he attended all of the court proceedings. He encouraged Britney to get help and also he`s been taking care of those boys and he hasn`t been parading them in front of the paparazzi. So he really has stepped up as a responsible guy.

ANDERSON: You know, and I questioned why he did this photo spread to begin with but then I thought, you know, maybe he wants to speak out. And at least, you know, he wasn`t showing the kids in the photo shoot, so that is commendable. He is keeping them out of the spotlight. Ashlan, what do you think? Are you convinced he was never the bad guy people said he was?

GORSE: All I remember is when Britney was home and pregnant, he was out in Vegas partying it up. So no, I don`t think that Kevin was never a bad guy. But I think that once he got put into the situation with the kids, he did step up to the plate. But he really had no choice.

You know, he is getting payment from Britney to take care of the kids and he was the only one that could take care of the children. So he did step up to the plate but it was because he had to. Like, Carolina said, he is no saint. And no, he is no Mother Teresa but, you know, he is daddy Kevin.

ANDERSON: Yes, he is. One of the things his ex Shar Jackson told me is that if nothing else, Kevin is a terrific father. So keep up with the good parenting, Kevin.

OK. We will leave it there for now. Carolina Bermudez, Ashlan Gorse, thank you both. And to read more from the Kevin Federline interview, you pick up your copy of "In Touch Weekly." It`s on newsstands now.

HAMMER: Well, coming up, Hollywood`s fat fight. I give these ladies a whole lot of credit. They are standing up. They are finally saying, hey, enough is enough. We`ve got stars fighting back against the tabloids that are calling them fat. You won`t want to miss that still, to come on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

And the star couples that made us say, huh? The woman, gorgeous. The guy, well, not so much. But wait until you see our picks for the most confounding couple in Hollywood history. That`s ahead in a showbiz special report, "She`s hot, He`s not."

And I want you to think about this, who`s more popular, Oprah or Ellen? And I`m not just being diplomatic here. I personally like them both a whole heck of a lot but I was pretty surprised by the results of this particular new poll that pits them against each other. That is coming up. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is coming straight back.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson. Tonight, a startling new and very controversial poll is claiming that Oprah Winfrey is no longer the queen of daytime TV. The new queen? Ellen DeGeneres. Move over, Oprah.

With us again in New York, senior editor of "In Touch Weekly," Carolina Bermudez. And in Hollywood, Ashlan Gorse, host of "E! News Now."

Ashlan, Carolina, this poll was done by AOL TV, and when asked who`s your favorite daytime host, 46 percent of those polled chose Ellen. Only 19 chose Oprah. Carolina, explain this to me. Oprah, by far, is the ratings queen, so where does something like this come from?

BERMUDEZ: Well, AOL, they polled a broad cross-section of people, so it wasn`t just women. They asked everybody, all ages and the people have spoken. Ellen is more fun. She`s comfortable. She lets herself be a little bit dorky. And I think people really like that now.

Oprah`s been a little bit stiffer. Shows have been boring. So maybe Ellen really is taking the lead here.

ANDERSON: You know, Ellen does seem to have a very relaxed approach, very upbeat approach to her show, also to life. She makes me smile. But with this poll, to add insult to injury, the poll asked who would be your ideal dinner party guest - Ellen or Oprah? And once again, it was Ellen. Ashlan, who would you want over for dinner and why?

GORSE: Oh, of course, I want Ellen over Oprah for a dinner guest, of course. I mean Ellen is fun. She always has some fun anecdotes to say. She`s really hip. She`s into pop culture, and she`s got great stories.

I mean Oprah is the queen. She was voted the best interviewer in that poll but Ellen is just more relatable. Everybody loves her and they feel at ease when they watch her.

ANDERSON: Carolina, who would your choice be for dinner party guest - Ellen or Oprah?

BERMUDEZ: By far, we`re going to have to fight, Ashlan, because I want Ellen to come over my house. You know, she is a lot of fun. She knows her stuff, but she doesn`t take herself too seriously. Oprah needs a fun correspondent, I think. A lot of her stuff has been really serious lately.

ANDERSON: What about Gayle?

BERMUDEZ: Well, you know, Gayle is a good time but she`s not there enough. She`s doing her radio thing. Oprah needs somebody young that`s going to rejuvenate that whole new generation of people that watching talk television shows. And she`s really missing out a little bit so Ellen is taking it over from her.

ANDERSON: All right. And Ashlan maybe you can have Ellen over on Friday. Carolina, Ellen over on Saturday. All right. We`ve got that settled.

And I want the mention this. Last year, TV stations around the country tried putting Ellen`s show against Oprah`s and Ellen for the most part got her butt kicked so Ashlan, Oprah really doesn`t have anything to worry about here, does she?

GORSE: No, Oprah is still the queen. She still pulls in the ratings. And like Carolina said before, it really was the kind of all the people they`ve picked for this poll. It was everybody. It wasn`t just women sitting at home, older women. It was young women. It was young guys, older men. And that`s the kind of - the genre that watches Ellen - the people that are surfing the Web that were taking the poll.

ANDERSON: Carolina, you know, Oprah is a powerhouse. Her shows are well produced. They are quality shows. She really doesn`t need to worry about a poll like this, huh?

BERMUDEZ: No. I don`t think Oprah`s losing any sleep over this at night. She has her core audience that tunes in every single day. And she is the reigning queen of talk. But there has to be a little bit of room left for the others here. So definitely, Ellen is taking a little bit of that role now, and I think that everybody looks forward to her shows. I mean, she has fun. She dances. It`s not that serious.

ANDERSON: Plenty of room for everybody. Carolina Bermudez, Ashlan Gorse, we`ll leave it there. Thanks.

HAMMER: Coming up, Hollywood`s fat fight. I`ve got to say I give these ladies a lot of credit. They`re standing up. They`re finally saying enough is enough. They`re stars fighting back against the tabloids calling them fat. Still to come on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

ANDERSON: And a star couples that made us say, huh? The woman gorgeous. The guy, well, not so much. But wait until you see our pick for the most confounding couple in Hollywood history. That`s ahead in a showbiz special report, "She`s Hot, He`s Not."

HAMMER: Wait until you hear this. Ryan Phillippe speaking out. So what does Ryan really think about his ex-wife, Reese Witherspoon and her new boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal? Ryan in his own words. That`s coming up next.

Now you can watch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT any time at all by downloading our podcast which is totally free. And you will find the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT podcast on our Web site which is CNN.com/ShowbizTonight or you can also get it on iTunes. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is coming right back.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer. Here are some more stories that are new right now. Ryan Phillippe says it`s bizarre to see his ex-wife Reese Witherspoon with her new boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal. In an interview with "USA Today," Ryan says he knew Reese would start dating again, but still he tries avoids looking at pictures of her and Jake together.

Ryan says, quote, "There`s plenty of times when I say, `What a strange situation I`ve found myself in.` But at a certain point, you know it`s going to happen, so you are prepared."

Well, yesterday, we told about this online game called "Miss Bimbo" that has people just outraged. It is targeted at girls as young as seven years old who give their cyber bimbos breast implants and diet pills. I`m talking really vile stuff here.

Well now, the British site could actually be in trouble for the way it charges kids to play the game. You see, free the sign up but when they need to stock up their virtual credits, they have to send text messages which cost money, kind of like getting Al Capone on tax evasion. But hey, whatever works, right? .

ANDERSON: All right. Here`s something I`ve noticed and I`m sure you have, too. Let`s call it the "she`s hot, he`s not" phenomenon. They are the star couples that made us say, huh? But who`s the most mismatched couple ever? You`ve got to stick around the find out. That`s still to come in a showbiz special report.

HAMMER: Also, Hollywood`s fat fight. The stars, they`re fighting back against the magazines that call them fat. I`ve got to say, I give them a lot of credit but are they winning the fight? That is on the way.

And we will also have this -

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: I don`t care if you slept with hundreds of men.

MERYL STREEP, ACTRESS: I haven`t slept with hundreds of men.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: On SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, the Hollywood fat fight. Tonight, stars on the attack against the magazines, the paparazzi that won`t leave them alone about their weight. But I`ve got to ask, are stars like Carnie Wilson who put their weight battle out there to boost their careers fair game? It`s the fired up Hollywood fat fight.

And, she`s hot, well, he`s not. Tonight, it`s the age-old question, why do beautiful women hook up with the not so easy on the guy eyes guys? You won`t believe as we pick as the most mismatched couple ever.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer, broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.

ANDERSON: I`m Brooke Anderson coming you from Hollywood. This is TV`s most provocative entertainment news show.

HAMMER: Tonight, we bring you the Hollywood fat fight. Stars taking on the tabloids that published unflattering pictures and called them fat. And now Carnie Wilson doing the same in an explosive, brand new interview.

Joining me tonight from Hollywood, the author of "Do I Look Fat in This?" and self esteem expert, Jessica Weiner. Also in Hollywood tonight, entertainment reporter and anchor of LX TV, Shira Lazar.

Shira, Jessica, let`s get into it. Because "The National Enquirer" just published these pictures claiming that Carnie Wilson gained has 79 pounds since her gastric bypass surgery which was nine years ago.

And doing this, they show pictures of Carnie while she is exercising as they`re trying to make their point about her gaining this weight. I can tell you, Carnie, ticked off. Listen to what she told "Good Morning America."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CARNIE WILSON, SINGER: Here`s the truth. When I`m on the treadmill, I`m thinking about lunch. That`s the truth. I`ve got to be honest with you. I mean I`ve never been a lover of exercise. However, it does make me feel better. And the good news is these pictures in the tabloids, at least I`m exercising. I`m not making an effort. I`m not shoving cake in my mouth.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: But she`s still not happy that they`re putting those pictures in there. Carnie has been very candid about her weight. What do you think, Shira? Is what "The National Enquirer" doing just unfair?

SHIRA LAZAR, ENTERTAINMENT REPORTER: A.J., they`re called tabloids for a reason because they`re not sure when they like to pick on people. Carnie is also the type that she`s streams her gastric bypass surgery on the Internet. So she obviously likes bringing attention to her weight, hopefully for a positive reason. But I mean, as this point, the stars - the more they put it out there, the more buzz it will get, and they have to realize that.

HAMMER: Yes, but there is kind of this mixed signal going on. And Jessica, pardon the pun, but you know, can she have her cake and eat it, too?

JESSICA WEINER, SELF ESTEEM EXPERT: I knew that was going to come in here somehow. No, listen, A.J., I think that Carnie - my heart breaks for her because she`s been very open about her journey with weight, and millions and millions of women can identify with that. But I think that she has to really watch her responsibility here.

You said, we got to watch her gastric bypass surgery on television. When celebrities invite the media to be part of that weight loss story, they can`t expect them to cover it.

Now, as another woman out there in the world watching this, I do feel for her because I think enough is enough with all stars in general. Why do women constantly have to defend their body shape and size in Hollywood and not men? That is a double standard.

HAMMER: Well, and to that point of having to defend, you know, shape and size, Carnie not the only star who`s mad at the tabloids. Jennifer Love Hewitt was very public in her when she was fighting back against being photographed on vacation. These pictures of her as you remember, they were plastered everywhere.

Headlines calling her, Jennifer Love Hewitt, fat which was unbelievable to me. What do you think, Shira? Do stars like Jennifer who speak out saying, "No, I`m not fat," do more harm than good because they`re making it look like they`ve got to justify their size?

LAZAR: Well, yes, that and she also is a size 2 so that`s pretty - if anything, that`s not even average compared to other middle Americans. If anything, it is not so much harmful but does create more buzz and they blog about it. So they can`t expect the attention not to be there.

If anything, she should come out there and say, "Hey, yes, I might be a size 2 but I have ripples there and wrinkles there and, you know what? That`s normal even if I am a celebrity."

HAMMER: What do you think, Jessica? I mean, is that a case of not winning the fat fight when you have to go out of your way to say, "No, I don`t look like that?"

WEINER: Well, I think, yes, it is unfortunate that women have to defend their bodies. But what I loved about the Jennifer Love Hewitt scenario was that came out right away and defended herself. And I think so many celebrities actually live with a lot of shame and embarrassment about that.

And let`s be honest. Give me a break. Jennifer Love Hewitt didn`t invite the world in to talk about her butt. She was on the beach getting engaged and it was really none of our business.

HAMMER: Yes, look at her. I mean come on. Give me a break. Hey, speaking of give me a break, you know who was saying that loud and proud? We all remember this - Tyra banks. Man, she was P.O.`d. She accused the paparazzi of manipulating a photo that was take of her while she was actually modeling swim suits. And then Tyra, as we remember, famously used her own talk show to fight back for herself and all of her fans. It was a great moment. Let`s show it to you right now.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TYRA BANKS, HOST, "THE TYRA BANKS SHOW": Women whose names you know. Women whose names you don`t. Women who have been picked on. Women whose husbands put them down. Women that work or girls in school, I have one thing to say to you - kiss my fat ass!

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes. The call heard around the world. Now, Jessica, let me go back to you. You were right there on the set of Tyra Banks. It was such an emotional day when that happened last year. And Tyra made it her mission to challenge this whole type of distortion that goes on. Has it really changed anything?

WEINER: I do think it`s changed something, A.J. And I was there and I just got goose bumps again, watching it because that is real and authentic emotions. So women are so tired of getting their bodies picked apart. And what I think Tyra did by that kind of outburst, was she just laid it on the table.

She taught her audience that day about what goes into Photoshopping and airbrushing in paparazzi photos. And I think the more we can educate our girls and women out there, that what they see in Hollywood is not always real, that`s where they get educated and that`s where they get powerful.

HAMMER: Let me throw this thought at both of you, though. A lot of women say to the likes of Tyra and Jennifer Love Hewitt, "Hey, right on. You`re doing something great. But the reason tabloids publish these photos is because they sell magazines.

Guess who the majority of the readers are of these magazines? They`re women. Shira, help me out with this disconnect?

LAZAR: Definitely, there`s a disconnect here. I mean they don`t want photographed. They don`t want people to pick on them. But then it ends up in the tabloids. And you know what? A lot of these stars end up getting endorsement deals, so end up helping them and it makes people feel better. There`s definitely a disconnect here.

And also let me mention Tyra Banks. That whole blow-up she did, it was during February sweeps, a time when she knew everyone was watching and she needed the viewers. So that`s important, also, to mention.

WEINER: Yes, but you know what? I think Shira, the point is here is that we`ve got to keep this conversation going and not pin the blame on the celebrities.

HAMMER: Guys, I`m going to end there because we are out of time. But I think regardless of that, it definitely did more good than harm. Jessica Weiner, Shira Lazar, I thank you both.

I want you to know that you can now watch video reports from SHOWBIZ TONIGHT any time on our Web site. New ones up all the time at CNN.com/ShowbizTonight.

HAMMER: A.J., so tonight, I`m going to try to answer this age-old question. Why do beautiful women hook up with not so easy on the eyes guys? The hot Hollywood women with guys not so hot. I`m counting down the most mismatched couple of all time. You won`t believe who we`re picking as the oddest pair. That`s coming up.

Plenty of good looking people here though -

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: I don`t care if you slept with hundreds of men.

STREEP: I haven`t slept with hundreds of men.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: So which one of those men is this girl`s father? You`re not going to want to miss this. Your brand new first look at the movie version of "Mama Mia." This is definitely going to bring out your inner dancing queen, coming up next.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson and this is TV`s most provocative entertainment news show.

Well, you know the old fairytale "Beauty and the Beast." Well, the fantasy holds true in real life, too. Tonight, a showbiz special report, "She`s hot, He`s not." Now, this is something a lot of people just don`t get. Beautiful stars that fall for men to be polite, not so much. Tonight SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is counting down the top four mismatched Hollywood couples ever.

Joining me tonight in New York, Dr. Judy Kuriansky, clinical psychologist and author of "The Complete Idiot`s Guide to a Healthy Relationship." In Miami, Steve Santagati of the Web site, AskSteveSantagati.com.

Dr. Judy, Steve, it was difficult to bring it down to just four, but hey, we managed it. I want to start with our number four on our "She`s Hot, He`s Not" list, Howard Stern and Beth Ostrosky. Some would say he`s an odd-looking shock jock and then you`ve got his gorgeous lady love. Steve, when you look at them, do you just scratch your head and say what`s she thinking?

STEVE SANTAGATI, ASKSTEVESANTAGATI.COM: Actually, to be honest with you, I don`t, because Howard Stern`s got that kind of like sexy rock star thing going for him. And the other thing is women want the Alpha that male and the Alpha male comes in a lot of different packages where guys simply look on what`s, you know, on the surface as far as looks concerned with women.

Women will get that feeling from a guy and Howard has that thing. He`s very powerful. He`s rich and he kind of has that rock star thing with the long hair, the blue eyes.

ANDERSON: Yes, and he`s witty. He`s funny. He`s quick and that`s attractive.

SANTAGATI: That`s right.

ANDERSON: Judy, quickly, what is your take on this?

JUDY KURIANSKY, CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST: He is also as far as we know faithful to her and given all the politicians who we have heard about lately, it`s really important. A woman wants a guy who just is for her. And Steve, you can`t tell me any different than that.

SANTAGATI: Since when?

KURIANSKY: That is a bottom line.

ANDERSON: I think that`s a good point. A great point. Be monogamous.

All right, we want to move to the next spot on our list, as SHOWBIZ TONIGHT counts to the top spot. Next up is number three. And that`s Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri. Now, Janet is one of the sexiest pop stars on the planet, could probably get any guy she wants. Steve, explain this one to me.

SANTAGATI: I think that Jermaine Dupri in her category of understanding the business. So she probably went - like you said, she can get any guy she wants and she wants a guy that understands her. I think he`s even shorter than she is, isn`t he?

ANDERSON: He may be but I`ve met him. He`s a very nice guy.

SANTAGATI: Yes, I`ve met him before and he is a nice guy. It is a strange match-up. When I saw those two matched up, I was like, this doesn`t make sense but who knows who goes on in the bedroom?

KURIANSKY: Of course, it`s a match-up in the bedroom. It really doesn`t matter whether he`s shorter. It works out in the end. The key is that Jermaine supports her. He is there totally to build her up and to make her feel like she is the goddess and that is another thing that women want. Faithfulness, make me feel like a goddess. That`s -

(CROSS TALK)

SANTAGATI: That`s why I love you so much. I make Dr. Judy feel like a goddess that`s why she loves me.

ANDERSON: Yes, you two are a great pair. I`ll say that. OK. Coming in at number two on the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT "She`s Hot, He`s Not" list. When this happened, it baffled everybody - Billy Joel, Christie Brinkley.

In past interviews, Billy Joel himself has acknowledged that, you know, he was lucky. When they were first married he said would wake up, look at her and pinch himself. He couldn`t believe he was married to Christie Brinkley. Steve, did you ever understand this one?

SANTAGATI: It seems to me a typical rock star-model; that`s it for me. In other words, if he was just Billy Joel walking down the street, no. He would not have gotten Christie Brinkley. That just wouldn`t happen. But because he`s a rock star, because he was famous, models are going to go after that type of guy, so it was normal.

But in the looks department - we`re strictly talking about looks - there was such a huge divide. And Billy Joel, again, funny, charismatic, super talented but looks-wise, they don`t match up and that marriage or that relationship would have never happened in the real world.

ANDERSON: You know what? When a man can sing and/or play an instrument, that is pretty darn sexy. I`m going to leave it here for now. But guys, stay right there because we are not done yet.

So who is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT naming as the number one most mismatched couple of all time? The gorgeous girl, the not so hot guy. You are definitely going to want to stick around for this. You bet people are talking about it. That`s coming up next.

I`ll tell you, people are already talking about this movie.

I have got your brand new first look at the movie version of "Mama Mia." Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan light this film up. Man, if this doesn`t get you out of your seat, well, I don`t know what will. That is coming up.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Hey, welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson. And we are counting down the top four mismatched couples on our "She`s Hot, He`s Not" list. Why are these gorgeous gals with below average Joes? It`s tonight`s SHOWBIZ TONIGHT special report.

Joining me once again from New York, clinical psychologist Dr. Judy Kuriansky. In Miami, Steve Santagati of AskSteveSantagati.com. Thanks for hanging out, guys. And to recap where we are at number four, Howard Stern and Beth Ostrosky. Number three, Janet Jackson, Jermaine Dupri. Nearing the top, at number two, Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley. OK, Charles, strike up the drum roll, please.

And number one spot on the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT "She`s Hot, He`s Not" countdown goes to these guys, Julia Roberts and Lyle Lovett. Now, talk about an odd couple. The pretty woman and the not-so-pretty man tied the knot in 1993. Marriage lasted less than two years. Steve, could you even believe this one? Were you as shocked as everybody else?

SANTAGATI: I had a lot of hope. I`ve raised the bar for me. I can get everybody after that. Yes, I was shocked. I think that was probably a period when Julia Roberts was doing a lot of heavy drinking late at night in a dark room. That made no sense.

KURIANSKY: That is mean.

HAMMER: How - on "Saturday Night Live," they said that Julia Roberts and Lyle Lovett broke up because she realized she was Julia Roberts and he was Lyle Lovett.

(CROSS TALK)

ANDERSON: They were the punchline for a lot of late night shows. You`re right. I have met Lyle before. He is a gentle, very kind person and no disrespect to our friend, Lyle Lovett.

(CROSS TALK)

ANDERSON: Dr. Judy -

KURIANSKY: Right.

ANDERSON: Exactly.

ANDERSON: Dr. Judy, what do you think? Was this the perfect example of the old saying, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"?

KURIANSKY: Exactly. Steve, you were so mean. I disagree with you entirely.

SANTAGATI: I`ll show you mean.

KURIANSKY: What was happening there is that she was really picking like what the survey shows and what my own survey shows, which is women go for the personality. Really, Brooke, you just said he was the nicest guy. They go for a guy who`s there for them, who`s loving, who treats them well.

SANTAGATI: Oh, Judy, you`re as shallow as we are.

KURIANSKY: And men look for the arm charm and body is still top on their list. And for women, if he is a good guy, she loves him and that`s it Steve.

SANTAGATI: Go have your medulla oblongata checked because women are as shallow as we are, it`s just that in this situation - But you know what? I`ll tell you what the take home news is here, Brooke and Dr. Judy -

ANDERSON: Hey, quickly. Dr. Judy, I want to ask you, is it my imagination or more often than not, does the woman choose the less attractive man versus the hunky good looking guy choosing the less attractive women?

KURIANSKY: Oh, absolutely. Because it is the guys that want the women who are good looking. That makes them feel like a stud and reflects well on them. For women, it is more not only their internal but thinking the great looking guy might be narcissistic. All these other women have come on to them. And remember I said they want fidelity. Women want a man to tell them, "You`re beautiful. And I love you. And you`re the one." Not the other way around.

ANDERSON: And we will give you the last word here tonight.

KURIANSKY: So that`s it.

ANDERSON: Dr. Judy Kuriansky, Steve Santagati, thank you both.

HAMMER: Brooke, I`ve got to tell you. A lot of good-looking people in this movie. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: I don`t care if you slept with hundreds of men.

STREEP: I haven`t slept with hundreds of men.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: But first, here`s your look at when`s new at the movies this week brought to you by Pillsbury Crescent Rolls. It`s Demi Moore and Michael Caine teaming up to steal some pretty expensive shiny things. I`m talking diamonds in "Flawless."

A lot of buzz on this film. Ryan Phillippe starring in "Stop Loss" He`s a soldier who has already served his time in Iraq, but is shocked to find out he is being sent back.

Also, "Superhero Movie." This looks like a lot of fun. The guys behind "Naked Gun" and "Airplane" are behind this one. Pam Anderson and Leslie Nielsen star in the spoof of Spiderman, Batman and the Fantastic Four.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is coming straight back right after this.
