(MUSIC)
HAMMER: Hello, I`m A.J. Hammer, broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.
ANDERSON: Hi, there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson coming to you from Hollywood.
And tonight, we have huge news about how much alcohol police say was in Bon Jovi guitarist`s Richie Sambora` system when the cops pulled him over with his kid in the car, and whether or not he will be charged with child endangerment. That is coming up.
But first, the revenge of the exes. Heather Mills, meet Tricia Smith. Tricia Smith, meet Heather Mills. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is bringing you the brand new cold, hard proof that hell hath no fury like a woman who is scorned, especially a woman who gets to go on TV or YouTube to vent her fury.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
BARBARA STREISAND, ACTRESS: Wouldn`t it be lovely if we we`re old? We`d have survived all this.
ANDERSON (voice over): In classic romantic movies like "The Way We Were," break-ups are sad, but dignified.
STREISAND: But it was lovely, wasn`t it?
ROBERT REDFORD, ACTOR: Yes, it was lovely.
ANDERSON: But these days, such dignified break-ups are things of the past.
COOPER LAWRENCE, PSYCHOLOGY EXPERT: We went from a lovely, dignified break-up to boiling bunnies in pots.
ANDERSON: OK, boiling bunnies may not be standard break-up fare, as was the case in "Fatal Attraction," but the screaming -
MILLS: I`m being pushed to the edge.
ANDERSON: Crying -
SMITH: I don`t know why.
ANDERSON: And general bad antics of jilted wives Heather Mills- McCartney and new YouTube sensation Tricia Walsh-Smith have SHOWBIZ TONIGHT asking is it a new trend for high-profile people to break up badly?
JO PIAZZA, "NEW YORK DAILY NEWS": Dignified break-ups have gone completely out the window.
SMITH: I am the biggest (EXPLETIVE DELETED) idiot in the world.
ANDERSON: Tricia Walsh-Smith has become a worldwide celebrity for this YouTube video where she rants about her soon-to-be ex-husband who`s one of the most powerful men on Broadway.
SMITH: Husband has no grounds of divorce. He`s trying to evict me.
ANDERSON: And she kicked it up to another level during her recent appearance on "Good Morning, America."
SMITH: Why would he throw me out with no money?
ANDERSON: Just a months earlier, we saw another bitter blond Brit go on a similar extreme post-breakup rampage - Paul McCartney`s ex-wife, Heather Mills.
MILLS: I`m so upset about this.
LAWRENCE: We`re seeing higher levels of narcissism in our society. So it`s the idea that, "Who could do this to me? This can`t be happening to me. I must let everybody know."
ANDERSON: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you breaking up badly may be unseemly, but for these women, it`s an instant ticket to fame.
PIAZZA: Tricia Walsh-Smith tried really hard to seek fame as a playwright and as an actress, but she`s getting way more fame off of her crazy YouTube rant.
ANDERSON: And she`s getting money. While ABC insists it didn`t pay Walsh-Smith for her "Good Morning, America" interview, ABC tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT they did pay her to license private videos and pictures used in the "Good Morning, America" segment.
And Heather Mills has done OK, too.
PIAZZA: She was on "Dancing With The Stars." Donald Trump made her a judge on Miss USA. She`s probably going to have her own reality show soon. So she parlayed this divorce and behaving badly into her advantage.
ANDERSON: In fact, high profile jilted exes everywhere could benefit by following this handy new guide to ex-treme behavior. Step one, the televised breakdown.
PIAZZA: The televised breakdown is the key for the crazy ex.
ANDERSON: Exhibit A, Tricia Walsh-Smith on "Good Morning, America."
SMITH: I`m hurt and nobody cares.
ANDERSON: Exhibit B, Heather Mills on "British Morning Television."
MILLS: I`ve had worse press than a pedophile or a murderer.
ANDERSON: The second element in the guide for ex-treme behavior, claim poverty.
SMITH: He wants me to leave me nothing.
ANDERSON: Heather Mills took it even farther, claiming poverty for her and McCartney`s little daughter, even though Heather got an almost $50 million settlement.
MILLS: She obviously is made to travel B class while her father travels A class.
ANDERSON: And last but not least, trash-talk your ex very publicly, something both Heather Mills and Tricia Walsh-Smith have done. Both Heather and Tricia`s exes have refrained from publicly trashing their wives or their own good name. But you don`t get attention and money by breaking up in a classy way. Could that encourage more jilted exes to go the Heather and Tricia route?
PIAZZA: I think this is definitely the start of a trend where jilted women are going to go out, air their dirty laundry.
ANDERSON: So we may see a day when classy public break-ups are a thing of the past. When that sad day comes, at least we`ll have misty, water-colored memories of the way break-ups were.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
HAMMER: And it`s good to have memories. So it looks like Heather Mills and Tricia Walsh-Smith are giving a whole new meaning to getting revenge. And it does not look pretty. But is it really stupid?
Well, joining me tonight from Miami, Steve Santagati of "AskSteveSantagati.com." In New York tonight, clinical psychologist Dr. Judy Kuriansky who is the author of "The Complete Idiot`s Guide to a Healthy Relationship."
Hello, Steve and Judy. So what do you think was possibly going through Tricia`s mind when she decided to make this YouTube debut? And I want to start with you, Steve. Do you think it was about the ultimate revenge, the ultimate humiliation of her husband, you know, just to kind of stick to it the guy?
I think Tricia, who I call "Ozzy Osbourne Eyes," she was kind of like getting it all out there. I think she wanted to get the beginning of public support. She wanted to jump the gun and get public support. I didn`t really feel like it was a great attempt at revenge. I actually think it was kind of stupid because now, if there`s a legal situation going on, she`s not going to bear so well.
But the thing is I think a lot of these divorces and a lot of this ugly laundry - dirty laundry, if you will, is coming out because guys are, quite frankly, sick of paying out. These stupid California divorces where women get millions - men see it on television and they don`t want to pay anymore. So women are now going, "Well, I`ve got to get public support because I was a gold digger from day one. But now I need a little bit of help."
(CROSS TALK)
HAMMER: I don`t think they`re saying, "Hey, I was a gold digger." But you know - Dr. Judy, what do you think the motivation was there?
DR. JUDY KURIANSKY, CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST: I disagree with you, Steve.
SANTAGATI: Shocker.
KURIANSKY: I think that it is about revenge, and it is also about the fact, not that just she wants to humiliate her husband as the president of such a big theater organization, but the fact that she feels humiliated.
And I don`t condone those behaviors of Heather Mills and the ex Mrs. Smith, but the point is that millions of women feel this way. They feel like a fool. A guy dumps them.
SANTAGATI: Judy ...
KURIANSKY: They feel like they`ve been pushed aside. Their ego gets swashed. They don`t have a voice ...
SANTAGATI: But Judy, let me ask ...
KURIANSKY: ... and they`re reaching out to have a voice and re- establish some sense of their own self-esteem. So that`s what`s going on here.
SANTAGATI: Judy, let me ask you a question. Let me just ask you a question.
KURIANSKY: And I think it`s important that women are seeing that they can have a voice, Steve ...
SANTAGATI: But Judy, this is a good question. You`re going to like it, if you`ll ever listen.
KURIANSKY: ... that they can speak out.
SANTAGATI: Judy ...
KURIANSKY: The point is that they need to build back their sense that, "I am a somebody. I don`t have to be treated like trash. I don`t have to be thrown out of my house."
SANTAGATI: Judy, I got it.
KURIANSKY: This happens to lots of women who are watching and listening right now. And I support them in getting out their feelings. Maybe not this way, but in expressing how they feel and what they want ...
SANTAGATI: Judy, what do they have ...
KURIANSKY: ...when they`re dumped.
SANTAGATI: What reason do they have to seek revenge if they knew what the deal was in the beginning? And these huge sums of money they`re coming after, did they really generate that money for their husbands in the relationship?
KURIANSKY: It`s not - You know what?
SANTAGATI: I know that women are wonderful. Hold, Judy, I`m not done. Women are supportive and a lot of times great men do have a great woman behind them. But I think that these huge sums of money and these things that - these relationships that they got in, they knew what the deal was.
KURIANSKY: Let me tell you, Steve ...
SANTAGATI: I don`t really see that they have a right. Hold on, I listened to you. I didn`t interrupt which was very hard. I don`t see they have a right to go after revenge. I think that in certain cases, men deserve it. And you`re ready for this? There are certain women that I would like to talk about.
But for the most part, keep class where it belongs. Keep these breakups private. And when we see un-classy behavior, usually, ladies and gentlemen, it`s because of greed. It`s because money is involved. And Judy, that`s the bottom line. Not a scorned woman here. It`s always money.
KURIANSKY: OK, Steve, I can`t disagree with you with keeping your self-respect. What I am saying what you see in the film "The First Wives` Club," when women see that they`ve been deceived, when they feel that they have been treated poorly, they want to re-establish ...
SANTAGATI: It`s a movie. It`s a movie, Judy, it`s not reality.
(CROSS TALK)
KURIANSKY: No, it`s not. It happens in real life a lot, Steve.
HAMMER: This is what I want to know, though. Dr. Judy, hold on a second. Hello. Are you at all concerned here, now that this is going on, now that perhaps a precedent has been set by the YouTube and Heather Mills going so public with the dirty laundry that this is going to be a trend now, Judy?
KURIANSKY: Yes, I think it will be a trend because women are finding that there`s a platform for them to do this. And I`m not condoning that they`re doing it, but I understand it psychologically. I wish they would take what they`re watching with both of these women and speak to their friends, speak to a therapist, speak to other people who are in a closed circle to get out their feelings.
These women don`t feel that they have that ability to have an audience. And they should. They have those feelings. When you have been treated poorly, when so many women feel that men have had the power ...
SANTAGATI: Oh, A.J. Come on.
KURIANSKY: ... and the money and treated them in a very nasty way, they want to be able to speak, "I deserve better. I deserve to be treated with respect." And that`s their way of trying to find it. And as a therapist, I support their being able to express themselves.
HAMMER: And we will end it there. Thank you very much, Dr. Judy, Steve Santagati. That`s all she wrote. Appreciate you being with us tonight.
All right, Brooke, you know, this whole outrageous lashing out by Heather Mills and of course, the out of control YouTube lady. I`ve got to say, they made a lot of noise. We`ve been talking about it. It is nothing compared to how some other stars have gotten their big revenge, right?
ANDERSON: Yes, it`s so true, A.J. How about Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards? Unbelievable.
HAMMER: That is right. And that is why, Brooke, I`m calling this Ex- treme Revenge. It is a showbiz special report you can`t miss.
ANDERSON: Also the cult of Oprah? Now, Oprah Winfrey has been called a lot of things, but I can`t believe this. Tonight, she`s being accused of becoming a cult leader. Oh, boy, it`s not going to be pretty. That`s next.
Also this -

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I feel like the Corey Clark-Paula Abdul scandal undermined my faith in "American Idol."
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Yes, there was a time that I thought "Idol" might not survive that scandal. And there are so many reality show shockers. Tonight, I`m counting down the explosive fights steamy sex stunners, the jaw-dropping scandals that left us speechless. Showbiz investigates, next.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
ANNOUNCER: Christians, time to open your eyes, turn off the TV and pray.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: The person they want you to pray for is Oprah Winfrey. Believe it or not, there`s a growing number of people who are calling Oprah a cult leader. Oprah has started a lot of trends, but a new religion?
Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT first brought to you that mind-boggling YouTube video that accused Oprah of starting a cult. Tonight, there are brand new outrageous suggestions that Oprah is basically starting a religion of her own, the gospel according to "O?"
With me tonight, VH1 news and red carpet correspondent, Janelle Snowden and in Hollywood, host of "Yo on E!" on XM and Sirius Satellite Radio, Michael Yo.
Michael and Janelle - all right, the latest to pile on here, is FOX columnist Roger Freedman who asks, is Oprah starting her own cult based on the following things? Her association with famous Scientologists like Tom Cruise and John Travolta. Her relationship with the author of the bestselling "A New Earth," Eckhart Tolle. And also what Freedman calls "creepy" seminars. Janelle, do you buy the argument?
JANELLE SNOWDEN, VH1 NEWS AND RED CARPET CORRESPONDENT: I`ll tell you. I`m so sick of people using Oprah - or smearing Oprah as a way of getting their names in the press. I`m so disgusted by it. There are far more people in the world genuinely doing evil and need to be taken down themselves. But my god, leave Oprah alone. I`m going to start campaign, the "Leave Oprah Alone" campaign.
ANDERSON: OK. We`re starting it right here. Michael, do you agree with her that, you know, you`re sick of people trying to take Oprah down? You don`t buy the argument here?
MICHAEL YO, HOST, "YO ON E!": No, I don`t buy the argument either. I mean Oprah is not a cult leader. Does she have a cult that follows her? Absolutely. If she said, "You know what? Red jelly beans make me happy." Tomorrow, every red jelly bean would be sold and it will be sold out everywhere. She sells books. If she mentions a book, it sells out. If she mentions a product, it sells out. But for people to latch onto her just to get publicity - it`s sickening.
ANDERSON: Well, you know, what got us all talking about this in the first place was that wacky video on YouTube that`s gotten more than five million hits, claiming Oprah must be stopped. Take a look.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
ANNOUNCER: Have you heard about the largest church in the world? The first service was March 3rd, 2008 with an attendance of over 300,000. The attendance is now over two million and they conducted the first ever mass trance on March 17th, 2008. Have you heard of this church or maybe its leader?
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: OK. What the video is referring to are the Web seminars Oprah has been doing. It points out that two million people have checked this one out. But wait a second here. Millions and millions more watch her on television. Michael Yo, so does that mean that her TV show is like St. Patrick`s cathedral? She does, as you say, have a lot of followers who religiously watch her talk show.
YO: Yes, they watch her talk show. And here`s the thing about Oprah Winfrey. She doesn`t force anything on you, that`s why she`s doing it on a Web cast. If you want to watch it, you watch it. If not, 22 million people watch her TV show. If you want to watch the Web cast, what, two or three million, fine. But it`s just sad. It goes back to the fact that everybody`s latching onto Oprah just to try to get publicity for a Web site now. It`s ridiculous.
ANDERSON: Janelle, what do you think? Do you think it`s ridiculous, too?
SNOWDEN: Absolutely. Amen to what Michael just said.
ANDERSON: Amen.
SNOWDEN: If Oprah is a cult leader, then I will be the first person to join that cult. I mean telling you. If she tells me to eat those red jelly beans that he mentioned, then, I`m going to eat them. And I don`t even like jelly beans.
And absolutely, there are people who would kill for the numbers that Oprah, you know, takes in whether people watching on the Web or watching her television show. And these very people are the ones trying to take her down. It`s jealousy. They`re haters.
ANDERSON: Well, let me propose this. If in fact all of this is true, that Oprah Winfrey is indeed a cult leader, you know, Michael, think of all the good that she`s done in the world, for the world. And so many people consider her a role model. Would that be such a bad thing?
YO: No, it`s not a bad thing at all. Like I said, she`s not a cult leader but she has a cult that followed her. But I`d be worried about if Oprah said, "Hey guys. Let`s go get this guy that`s spreading all these rumors about us." Man, I would be worried if I was that person and Oprah`s cult was after you. Can you imagine that? Oh, no.
ANDERSON: No, I could not imagine. Janelle, would it be such a bad thing? She is an inspiration.
SNOWDEN: Absolutely, she`s an inspiration. Again, leave Oprah alone. The next time I come on, I`m going to have on a t-shirt that says, "Leave Oprah alone." Seriously.
ANDERSON: Oh, you know, I admit it. I read the books she recommends. I try the products on her "Favorite Things" show. She certainly does have a lot of influence. We`re going to leave it here for now. Janelle Snowden, Michael Yo, thank you both for being here. Good to see you.
OK. And now we want to hear from you about this. It is our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day - "Oprah Winfrey: Do you worship her?" Vote CNN.com/ShowbizTonight. E-mail us showbiztonight@cnn.com.
HAMMER: Brooke, I want to shift gears a little bit. Here are some people who definitely do not worship each other - Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen. Pretty safe to say the same about Heather Mills and Paul McCartney, right?
ANDERSON: Yes. Pretty safe to say, A.J. I would say that they probably wanted to wring each other`s necks at one point.
HAMMER: Yes, this really is not pretty. Coming up, an explosive special report, the outrageous things stars` exes did to get back at them, "Ex-treme Revenge." That`s coming up.
Also these extreme, stunning reality show scandals -
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: This woman systematically went through these answers that were more and more damaging to her marriage.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: I couldn`t believe this show "Moment of Truth." A couple`s marriage destroyed on TV in front of millions. And this isn`t the only reality show shocker. Tonight, I`m counting down the explosive fights, the steamy sex stunners, the jaw-dropping scandals that left us speechless. Showbiz investigates, coming up.
HAMMER: Brooke, this left me speechless. Stunning new charges against Bon Jovi guitarist, Richie Sambora, that could land him in jail, coming up.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Here are some more stories that are new right now.
Listen to this absolutely disturbing story. Former Olympic gold medal ice dancer, Pasha Grishuk, was drugged with the so-called date rape drug. Pasha was attending a business meeting at an Orange County, California hotel on April 12 when she felt sick. Well, she noticed a dissolved pill at the bottom of her drink. No word on who may have done it.
Big news for Lindsay Lohan`s sister and Tom Cruise`s son. They are announcing their first movie roles. Yes, 14-year-old Ali is shooting "Mostly Ghostly." SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can also tell you she`ll play a popular high school senior in that role. And Connor Cruise will star in Will Smith`s upcoming film, "Seven Pounds." He`ll be playing a young version of Will Smith in the film.
HAMMER: All right, Brooke, you know how these Hollywood splits can really get nasty.
ANDERSON: Oh, they can. The mud-slinging can be incomprehensible, A.J.
HAMMER: Yes. I don`t know what they do. It just makes me crazy what they do to each other. You know, Heather Mills, Paul McCartney, Denise Richards, Charlie sheen. Well, look out. I`ve got the ugliest Hollywood revenge stories coming up. It`s a blockbuster showbiz special report, "Ex- treme Revenge."

HAMMER: And stunning charges against Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora. Just how drunk was he allegedly when he was arrested with his daughter in the car? Well, I`ve got the startling details you won`t want to miss, coming up.

HAMMER: On SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, "Ex-treme Revenge." What happens when stars stop being polite and start getting revenge on their exes in public? We`re talking dirty laundry on TV, intimate details on YouTube - really, really nasty stuff. Tonight, a showbiz special report, revenge of the exes.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I feel like the Corey Clark-Paula Abdul scandal undermined my faith in "American Idol."
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Ah, yes. Corey Clark and Paula Abdul - you remember that lovely part of American history. He said they had an affair. She denied it. But there`s no denying it was a big mess. And that is just the beginning. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has the biggest, the baddest reality TV show scandals ever.
(MUSIC)
Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer, broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.
ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson, coming to you tonight from Hollywood. This is TV`s most provocative entertainment news show.
HAMMER: Tonight, a showbiz special report, "Ex-treme Revenge." What happens when women married to famous and powerful men get the revenge after their relationships become nightmares? Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is revealing the ugly aftermath of some of the nastiest splits we have seen.
There of course is the YouTube lady, Tricia Walsh-Smith, who trashed her husband and their sex life in that now infamous YouTube video. Heather Mills who went on TV to famously claim, as she put it, she received worse press than a pedophile or a murder. Oh, the nerve. And of course, who can forget Denise Richards alleging her ex, Charlie Sheen, has a penchant for porn.
Back with us tonight, from Miami, Steve Santagati of "AskSteveSantagati.com." In New York, clinical psychologist and author of "The Complete Idiot`s Guide to a Healthy Relationship," Dr. Judy Kuriansky. Also back with us in New York, Janelle Snowden, VH1 news and red carpet correspondent.
And Dr. Judy, I would like to begin this segment with you. Is it absolutely ridiculous for women who were once involved with famous men to just go on and bash their exes so publicly? Or is there actually anything that can in any way justify it?
KURIANSKY: Well, it can be justified, A.J., on the basis of balance of power. The men have power. Take a look. Smith is what?
SANTAGATI: Wow.
KURIANSKY: The president of one of the biggest theater companies and what is his soon-to-be ex-wife? Nothing. Paul McCartney is the Beatle and what is Heather Mills? Not much.
And so to balance the power and the money, the women look for two things - one, their voice in the public, and two, low blows with sex. So what does Tricia Smith go on YouTube and talk about? The fact that he was impotent with her, wasn`t having sex with her, but taking Viagra and watching porn. So sex is their weapon against the man.
SANTAGATI: Judy, I had no - A.J., I had no idea -
KURIANSKY: Steve, you would have to agree with me.
SANTAGATI: Are you kidding? Dr. Judy, I had no idea you liked baseball because that was as far out in left field as I`ve ever seen it. That`s insane, OK? That is just - A.J., that`s complete insanity.
Bottom line is the woman, Tricia, on the YouTube video - she wasn`t really looking like she was getting revenge. She was just pretty much like stating the facts. If there was any kind of defamation in there, then she would be shooting herself in the foot.
I think that a lot of times the video camera in all situations, whether it`s the bank cheating you or your husband cheating you, is a really good thing to have. They take all news, make this really quick. Ladies, marrying rich is not a career choice. And, guys, if you marry a young chick, you`ve got to pay. Settle on a figure.
HAMMER: All right. We`re talking about revenge here, and the way these women are going about it. I`ve got to tell you, I can`t remember the last time I saw anything like the YouTube video with that woman, Tricia Walsh-Smith. It`s kind of like some extreme version of Jerry Springer, right? Oh, let`s watch again, shall we? Roll it, Charles.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
SMITH: Apparently there`s some clause in this pre-nup that he`s got a thing that he can throw me out in 30 days but he has to have grounds for divorce. So he has no grounds for a divorce but he`s still trying to throw me out of our apartment in 30 days for no reason. I don`t know why.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: It`s hideous and riveting all at once and more than two million viewers have watched this thing on YouTube. Janelle, I`m going to bet you five bucks, there are a lot of other unhappy spouses out there maybe thinking, "Hey, you know, I should do that or I should have done that when my rotten louse of a spouse left me?"
SNOWDEN: I beg of you, please don`t do it. Please don`t do it. I mean some people will say that this is an obvious copy cat of the Heather Mills scenario. So it`s like a copy cat of the copy cat. I`m never in favor of putting your dirty laundry in the media.
I mean, for god`s sake, if ever there are kids involved, and I`m not sure the situation with this one. But let`s just say there are. Even if there aren`t, there are friends and family members involved. Leave them out of it. Leave everybody else out of it. Just - get a journal and, maybe Dr. Judy will agree with me on this - channel your anger into that. But not into the media. We don`t need to hear this.
KURIANSKY: I would say, Janelle, in fact, living well is definitely the best revenge.
SANTAGATI: Expose everybody.
KURIANSKY: But women have this desire to tell people. If she`s on that video, the soon-to-be ex Mrs. Smith, as if she`s talking to girl friends. Girls want to tell their girl friends. So now, it`s expanded to telling the world.
SNOWDEN: Yes.
KURIANSKY: Females want to have their say.
SANTAGATI: Listen -
KURIANSKY: They want their day, not in court, but in the public of saying, he did me wrong and he`s telling me to shut up," which he said. And she`s saying, "I`m not going to shut up." I understand women used to tell their therapists and now they want to tell everybody.
SANTAGATI: I`m telling you to shut up, Judy.
SNOWDEN: Steve, come on.
KURIANSKY: They want to be heard. That`s the point.
SNOWDEN: Why don`t we just - let`s use this as a commercial for you. Tell them to write into you, make an appointment with you or something. But just seriously, for the love of all (UNINTELLIGIBLE) -
SANTAGATI: No, I disagree with both of you.
SNOWDEN: Of course you do, Steve. When do you ever agree with women?
SANTAGATI: Expose - that`s not true. Expose everybody for who they really are. We`ll see his side. We`ll see her side. I think YouTube is a perfect platform to show the entire country who everybody really is.
HAMMER: Let me jump in because I guess Janelle is suggesting that people do not do as our next extreme revenge seeker, Heather Mills, did. Oh, can we play that sound one more time, Charles?
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
MILLS: I`ve had worse press than a pedophile or a murderer.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: She lays it all out right there. I mean that`s all you really need to know - worse press than a pedophile or a murder. But yes, she still hasn`t shut up.
Dr. Judy, let me get you in here. She wants to talk publicly about her marriage but let`s face it. She got almost $50 million in the divorce. Should she just take that to the bank and call it a day already?
KURIANSKY: Well, you`re right. No question she should call it day. Any one of us would think that`s plenty of money. But for her, it`s really not about money. No money is enough for her because she feels that she`s been put down. And she wants to get back.
It is a matter of revenge and a matter of the fact that she has very low self-esteem. She feels that she`s been minimized and she wants to speak out. Now, none of us can accept what Heather is doing. But I know from millions of women who`ve spoken to me over time that they feel the same way.
When a man does something like that, they want to bring them down. They want to tell all their friends. They want to send E-mails to everybody saying, "This is how rotten he`s been." It`s a natural human emotion. And Heather has shown how she does it when other people feel like doing it. So in a way, we vicariously live through her purging her upset and her anger at him.
HAMMER: Steve, I`m going to have to leave your response at your laughter. Because I need to get to this other star who famously got her extreme revenge.
SANTAGATI: All right. Go, go.
HAMMER: OK. We have Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen here. Now, Denise, of course, alleged that her ex, Chuck, had this penchant for porn, prostitutes, even posted a picture of his privates on the Net. That is something I have to point out that he denies. But Steve, I`ll let you sound off on this. It`s such damaging stuff. His daughters can Google this anytime. Would you say this is the kind of revenge that`s just plain stupid and perhaps a bit selfish, I was thinking?
SANTAGATI: Yes, that is true. Because if there`s children involved, you know, they don`t want to see their dad`s stuff. I mean I`m hoping the adult stuff stays with the adults and these families. And the children are at least protected from that, because that`s their parents` problem. I think the best revenge, though, A.J., a woman can do is to stay with a man and just - yes.
HAMMER: Janelle, there`s a novel idea for you to sound off on.
SNOWDEN: Yes. How about I never thought that they would come? Steve, let me apologize. I actually agree with you.
SANTAGATI: There you go.
SNOWDEN: Only, I have to say that in response to something Dr. Judy said earlier, I don`t necessarily think that, you know, this is good revenge. I mean I think in trying to bring your ex down, you`re actually bringing yourself down too by airing your dirty laundry. Because all of that just makes you look catty. And then it becomes a he said/she said battle.
SANTAGATI: Exactly.
SNOWDEN: And we don`t need to engage in that.
SANTAGATI: You can say that.
HAMMER: I`m wrapping it up here, but I basically feel, bring it down, people, just bring it down. You know what I`m saying?
SNOWDEN: There you go.
HAMMER: Steve Santagati, Judy Kuriansky, Janelle Snowden, thanks for being here tonight.
ANDERSON: Hey, A.J., do you watch "Moment of Truth?"
HAMMER: I admit I have seen the show. I find it a little hard to watch. Of course, we remember the woman who basically destroyed her marriage on camera.
ANDERSON: Yes. How could we forget that one? It was one of the biggest reality show scandals ever.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: This woman systemically went through these answers that were more and more damaging to her marriage.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Oh, and that`s just the beginning. Coming up, we have the most outrageous, most controversial, the biggest reality show scandals ever. You don`t want to miss it.
HAMMER: Also, breaking news you don`t want to miss about Richie Sambora`s DUI arrest. I was so shocked when he was arrested for allegedly driving drunk reportedly with his daughter in the car.
Well, tonight, for the first time, we know exactly what Richie`s going to be charged with and how drunk he allegedly was. That`s coming up.
ANDERSON: And David Hasselhoff`s mysterious hospitalization. The crazy reports were flying all around but we know the real reason why The Hoff was hospitalized. That`s still to come.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
MARK WALBERG, HOST, "MOMENT OF TRUTH": Do you believe you might have been in love with a former boyfriend on your wedding day?
LAUREN CLERI, CONTESTANT: Yes, I believe I was.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: It`s "The Moment of Truth" that became one of the most shocking reality scandals ever - a wife admitting in front of her husband and the world that she was in love with somebody else on her wedding day.
Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m Brooke Anderson. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT investigates the most shocking reality scandals ever. From sex shockers to ferocious feuds, reality TV has become the fly on the wall of the best train wrecks we`ve ever seen. You can`t write this stuff.
So from Paris Hilton to Paula Abdul, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT presents the most shocking scandalicious reality TV moments ever.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
(voice over): The shocking.
RYAN SEACREST, HOST, "AMERICAN IDOL": We`re going to say good bye to Michael Johns.
ANDERSON: The dramatic.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: (UNINTELLIGIBLE)
ANDERSON: The absolutely ludicrous.
PAULA ABDUL, REALITY TV PARTICIPANT: I`m trying to tell a (EXPLETIVE DELETED) story!
ANDERSON: What would our favorite reality shows be without the scandals?
FORMER BOYFRIEND OF LAUREN CLERI: If I wanted to get back together with you, would you leave your husband?
ANDERSON: It seems like the bigger the scandal, the higher the ratings. So SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has to ask, why do Americans love reality TV with a side of scandal?
BEX SCHWARTZ, COMEDIAN: I think we love reality shows scandals so much. We feel like we really know these people.
WILL KECK, USA TODAY CELEBRITY REPORTER: Let`s face it. Reality shows wouldn`t be reality shows without the scandals.
ANDERSON: From the squeaky clean to the downright dirty, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is counting down the top five most shocking reality scandals ever.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE REPORTER: What is up with you and Nicole?
PARIS HILTON, REALITY SHOW PARTICIPANT, "SIMPLE LIFE": You know, I don`t really want to talk about it. I just hope that she`s happy and healthy.
ANDERSON: At number five, it`s the reality rumble that nearly killed Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie`s only known careers. In 2005, the best friends became enemies - frenemies.
SCHWARTZ: Without Paris and Nicole being super best friends, there really could be no "Simple Life".
KECK: The rumors that were out there were - one of them was that Nicole had screened Paris` sex video for her friends. Other rumors were that Paris was jealous that Nicole had become even more famous than her. But we`ll never know until one of them tells.
ANDERSON: Oh the drama. But rumors don`t even compare to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`S fourth most shocking reality scandal.
ANNOUNCER: Sara Evans and her partner, Tony Dovolani.
ANDERSON: It was the unbelievable bombshell that shook the squeaky clean dance floor of "Dancing With The Stars." Country singer Sara Evans` nasty divorce involving an alleged sex scandal right in the middle of the show`s third season.
SARA EVANS, COUNTRY SINGER: My husband - I`m worried about his family.
SCHWARTZ: She could have quietly gotten divorced and been all upset at her husband and not quite "Dancing With The Stars." But no, she not only had to quit, but she had to make a huge stink about it.
EVANS: I just needed to, you know, take care of my children.
SCHWARTZ: Sara Evans claimed that her husband looked at porn on their home computer and their television and that he had naked photos of himself in various states of arousal.
ANDERSON: Even though her husband denied all of that, Sara Evans moved on surviving the scandal and even getting engaged. But reality scandals don`t always make nice. Just look at SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`S reality scandal number three.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE HOST OF "SURVIVOR": The winner of the first "Survivor" competition is Rich.
ANDERSON: Richard Hatch is perhaps the most famously sinister contestant "Survivor" has ever had. He won $1 million dollar on "Survivor Borneo," but couldn`t survive "Survivor IRS."
KECK: We watched Richard Hatch have these brilliant, scheming tactics to win the million dollars. And the fact that he didn`t declare that, that he tried to cover those earnings was just the saddest joke of all. And 51 months since prison I think he got - not a survivor.
RICHARD HATCH, WINNER, "SURVIVOR BORNEO": Hey, I just won, awesome.
SCHWARTZ: I fell like "Survivor of the Prison Edition" is a lot scarier than "Survivor" (UNINTELLIGIBLE) somewhere. But if you`re playing, I bet you`ll win it.
ANDERSON: Now, if you thought that was a rude awakening, take a look at SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`S second most shocking reality scandal -
WALBERG: Since you`ve been married, have you ever had sexual relations with someone other than your husband?
LAUREN CLERI, CONTESTANT, "MOMENT OF TRUTH": I`m going to have to say yes.
ANDERSON: It was the stunning "Moment of Truth" that made headlines across the country. Lauren Cleri wanted $200,000 so badly, she put her marriage on the line. Now SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you, she and her husband are split.
FORMER BOYFRIEND OF LAUREN CLERI: Do you believe I`m the man you should be married to?
CLERI: I`m going to be honest and say yes.
KECK: This woman systematically went through these answers that were more and more damaging to her marriage and the husband keeps on sitting there and saying, "Come on, give to it me." And we were watching this woman sell her marriage for money.
SCHWARTZ: The best part about it is that she went down when they asked her if she thought she was a good person and she said yes, but she was lying to herself.
VOICE OVER: That answer is false.
ANDERSON: Oh, if only the lie detector could tell us the truth about SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`S number one most shocking reality scandal ever - it`s the alleged affair between Paula Abdul and Corey Clark.
COREY CLARK, FORMER CONTESTANT, "AMERICAN IDOL": She`s saying I`m a liar, I`m an opportunist and I engage in illegal activities. She just had sex with somebody.
SCHWARTZ: I feel like the Corey Clark/Paula Abdul scandal undermined my faith in "American Idol." It goes like, "What?"
KECK: All of a sudden, America`s little princess Paula Abdul was being portrayed as a potential female Svengali. And it threatened to bring down the show for a little while.
ANDERSON: But Paula denies everything.
ABDUL: Corey, that was beautiful.
SCHWARTZ: Like, have you seen this guy? Corey Clark is like the human personification of (UNINTELLIGIBLE) cat. And that is the only reason I can think of him possibly having an affair.
ANDERSON: So it goes to show the more unreal the story, the more we love reality scandals.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
ANDERSON: For all his troubles, "Survivor" star Richard Hatch is still suffering for his scandal. He will be incarcerated until 2009.
HAMMER: Did you see this? President Bush made an appearance on "Deal or No Deal." And the contestant and army captain, and Iraq war veteran was very surprised.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
GEORGE BUSH, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES: Good evening, Captain Kobes. I`m thrilled to be on "Deal or No Deal" with you tonight. (UNINTELLIGIBLE) I`m thrilled to be anywhere with high ratings these days. I don`t know if you`re free to come to Washington anytime soon, but I have to reach an agreement with congress on the federal budget. How would you like to host a $3 trillion "Deal or No Deal."
CAPTAIN KOBES, CONTESTANT, "DEAL OR NO DEAL": No.
BUSH: Captain Kobes, thank you for your courageous service in Iraq. You and your fellow men and women in uniform are heroes to all Americans whose freedoms you protect.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: You don`t see that every day. Well, the contestant didn`t win the million dollars but he did get $26,000 and a personal message from the president.
As we told you earlier, there has been some pretty harsh criticism of Oprah Winfrey lately. Some people are even going so far as to say she is starting her own cult. Unbelievable. Critics are questioning Oprah`s promotion of Eckhart Tolle`s new-agey bestseller,"A New Earth."
And we`ve asked you to vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day - "Oprah Winfrey: Do you worship her?" You can keep voting at CNN.com/ShowbizTonight. Or you can E-mail us at showbiztonight@cnn.com.
ANDERSON: Breaking news about Richie Sambora`s DUI arrest. He was arrested for allegedly driving drunk reportedly with his daughter in the car. I was so disappointed to hear this.
Tonight, for the first time, we know exactly what Richie will be charged with and how drunk he allegedly was. That`s next on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
And now you can watch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT anytime by downloading our totally free podcast which you`ll find on our Web site, CNN.com/ShowbizTonight. You can also download it on iTunes. Type "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" into the search box. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is coming right back.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson. And here are more stories that are new right now.
Breaking news about Richie Sambora`s DUI case. He has made a plea deal. Sambora had two charges stemming from his arrest in March reportedly with his daughter and another minor in the car. Now, we can tell you Sambora has pleaded guilty. He will pay a fine, be put on probation and has to attend an alcohol education course. The DA`s office also tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that Sambora`s blood alcohol level was 0.13, over the legal limit of 0.08 and the child endangerment charges will not be filed.
David Hasselhoff was hospitalized in Los Angeles to have something removed above his eye. His publicist isn`t saying what that something was, only that Hasselhoff was taken to the UCLA Medical Center on Saturday and he is fine.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
LAURA BUSH, FIRST LADY: And welcome back to another hour of "Today," a beautiful crowd here on our plaza in midtown Manhattan. I`m Laura Bush. And I`ll be your guest host today, Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Now, Laura said it, there`s something you don`t hear every day. First lady, Laura Bush was guest co-host of the third hour of the "Today" show Tuesday morning for a segment on life as twins. The first lady interviewed her daughters, Jenna and Barbara.
HAMMER: Well, on Monday, we asked you about reports that Lindsay Lohan was seen out at the clubs in New York. We wanted your opinion on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day. Here`s the question - "Lindsay Lohan`s Late-Night Clubbing: Is she setting herself up for disaster again?"
Look at the results. Really one-sided here with 95 percent of you saying, yes. Only five percent of you saying no.
Here`s some of the E-mails we got. We heard from Eve in Minnesota. Eve writes, "She`s going to fall, fall, fall until she can`t fall anymore and she`s unable to work and she hits rock bottom."
I also got one from Karen in California who writes, "I think people should leave her alone. She is a young girl like all of us who did the same thing when we were her age."
We appreciate you voting. Thank you very much for that, and thank you for watching. That is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.
ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. Hey, remember, you can always catch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on the 11:00s - 11:00 p.m. Eastern, 11:00 p.m. Pacific and in the morning, at 11:00 a.m. Eastern.
