Hello, I`m A.J. Hammer broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City. And as if the Hulk Hogan family does not have enough problems, now Hulk Hogan`s daughter is reportedly even dissing her own mom. Why Brooke Hogan says, I don`t talk to my mom anymore. That`s coming up.

But first tonight, Heather Locklear in crisis. The absolutely unbelievable news that Heather Locklear has checked herself into a facility to be treated for anxiety and depression. Heather Locklear, one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood, the star of everything from "Melrose Place" to "Spin City."

But given the unbelievable drama in her life over the past couple of years, maybe we shouldn`t be surprised. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT bringing you the latest developments on this startling story making news right now.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER (voice-over): Of all the people in Hollywood, Heather Locklear may have been the last person we`d expect to be so depressed.

KATIE DARYL, TMZ: She`s got a great career. She`s America`s sweetheart. She`s got an adorable daughter, a great boyfriend. She`s rich, she`s famous.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: This is someone we perceive to what has it all.

HAMMER: But sadly Heather Locklear is showing that in Hollywood, none of those things can get you peace or happiness. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you all of Hollywood is shocked the 46-year-old TV veteran has checked into a facility to get treatment. Locklear`s spokesperson confirmed to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT it`s for, quote, "anxiety and depression." "People" magazine first broke the story which appears in its new issue.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Heather admitted herself to a gated residential facility in Arizona. While she is at the facility Heather will receive treatment and she`ll be diagnosed for her condition.

HAMMER: The last few years have been hard for Locklear, starting with her 2006 split from her husband, Bon Jovi guitarist, Richie Sambora. Sambora later then began dating Denise Richards putting Heather at the center of a well-publicized love triangle.

DAVID KAPLAN, "PEOPLE MAGAZINE": A friend of Heather`s tells "People" that Heather started taking prescription pills for anxiety and depression in 2006 shortly after her split from Richie.

HAMMER: Fears about Locklear`s well-being hit a fever pitch after a disturbing 911 call last March .

DISPATCHER: We`ll get someone out there as soon as we can. We`ll figure out what`s going on.

DARYL: TMZ was the first to break the story that there is a distressed phone call made on behalf of Heather Locklear basically saying she might be in a distressed state and ambulances needed to go over there and check on her, which they did.

KAPLAN: A friend later told "People" that Heather was just very distraught and that the friend in fact overreacted.

HAMMER: It was never revealed who made that call and police say when they arrived at Heather`s house, they were told she was fine. But still, "People`s" David Kaplan tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Locklear`s behavior was raising concern.

KAPLAN: Friends of Heather tell "People" that recent months she was behaving very erratically. And in fact this is someone who is typically very outgoing and playful and lately she was more somber.

HAMMER: Finally, Heather took action.

KAPLAN: Heather decided enter into the facility after consulting with a new doctor who said that the medications she was on weren`t the best and she should go to a new facility and have a whole new analysis done.

HAMMER: It`s a sad coincidence that Locklear`s ex-husband Richie Sambora and her ex-friend Denise Richards are also dealing with their own serious problems right now.

DARYL: You`ve got Denise Richards, she is publicly slinging mud with Charlie Sheen after their horrible divorce. Richie went on to get a DUI. You would think that America`s sweetheart, Heather Locklear, that was going to be the one come out, cream of the crop, cherry on the sundae. No problems whatsoever.

HAMMER: Now Locklear is getting help for her problems with support from 10-year-old Eva, her daughter with Sambora and Locklear`s current boyfriend, former "Melrose Place" costar Jack Wagner.

KAPLAN: These two really make up her support system. They`re totally there for her right now. A friend of Heather`s tells "People" that Heather`s doing well right now in treatment, she`s focused and she`s sticking to the program.

HAMMER: And Locklear`s fans are hoping that with help, this TV "it" girl known for having it all can have some inner peace as well.

KAPLAN: It really shows you that even someone like Heather Locklear is not immune to the emotional woes in Hollywood.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER (on camera): While we were all thrown for a loop when we got the news that Heather Locklear was being treated for depression and anxiety, should we actually be surprised about this? Joining me tonight in New York, Carlos Diaz, correspondent for the TV show "Extra" and Carolina Bermudez, senior editor for "In Touch Weekly."

And I want to show you guys exactly what Heather Locklear`s rep told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Listen to this. Quote, "Heather has been dealing with anxiety and depression. She requested an in-depth evaluation of her medication and entered into a medical facility for proper diagnosis and treatment. This is a confidential medical matter and no further statement will be released."

Over to you, Carlos Diaz, we`re very aware of the public troubles that Heather Locklear had, but were you surprised when you heard exactly how troubled she was?

CARLOS DIAZ, "EXTRA": Think about it, she`s in a relationship with Richie Sambora and that relationship falls apart. Then Richie Sambora starts dating Denise Richards and then they break up and Denise Richards says she`s going to have a new TV show where she tells all. So, boom, there`s your anxiety right there. She`s wondering what`s going to be said. In the middle of wondering what Denise is going to say on her show, Richie Sambora gets a DUI with her kid in the car and another young child. So she was bound to hit rock bottom at some point.

HAMMER: If somebody`s going to be pushed to their limits, all the things you just mentioned, that would do it. And as I mentioned at the top of the show, Heather Locklear`s image really has always been America`s TV sweetheart. Going back a long time. She`s a beautiful woman, she is the envy of millions of people everywhere. Carolina Bermudez, is that kind of what adds to the shock of the fact that she`s being treated for anxiety and depression?

CAROLINA BERMUDEZ, "IN TOUCH WEEKLY": It does. Here`s Heather, this blond bombshell, a very successful career and personally you can`t imagine she would break down to this point. But I have to give her a lot of credit. Heather has been a class act throughout this whole turmoil in her family. When Richie came out with the DUI, she didn`t open her mouth. The whole Denise Richards situation, she really has taken the high road. But at the end of the day it does take its toll on a person. And I can see why she is suffering from anxiety and depression.

HAMMER: Everybody`s got their limits. Carlos, you were talking about all the things that were circulating around her that sort of led to this inevitably. And the characters in the story really read like some kind of a Greek tragedy.

Look at this Heather Locklear and her troubles. Then you have her ex- husband, Richie Sambora, in and out of rehab and busted for drunk driving. Then Denise Richards divorced from Charlie Sheen and fighting the perception she stole Sambora from Heather Locklear. Then Charlie Sheen, a former wild guy, customer of Heidi Fleiss` prostitute and now he`s starring in TV`s number one sitcom and on top of all that he`s happily remarried. Carlos, could you ever have imagined with all these characters it would be Charlie Sheen who not exactly smelling like roses, would wind up pretty much on top of the world here? It`s wild.

DIAZ: There was that voice mail that he sent Denise a few weeks back that. That still kind of lingers out there. But you`re right. Out of everyone in this he`s the one who`s moved on. He`s remarried, he has a beautiful new wife. He has a hit TV show, which is in syndication. Which means he`s making tons of money. He is the one out of all of those people who`s doing the best so far.

HAMMER: Not just a Greek tragedy. I can take it one step further. It`s kind of like that game "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" and in this case Denise Richards being Kevin Bacon in this thing. All paths really leading back to her. She was once Heather`s best friend, she was once married to Charlie, her romance with Richie Sambora. And Carolina, as you said, Heather`s always been a class act through all of the drama. Denise has always insisted she did not steal Richie from Heather. They had already split up. But I`d have to imagine all this still weighs heavily on Heather Locklear.

BERMUDEZ: Definitely. That`s where the anxiety comes from. She`s going back and thinking of all the situation where they were together as couples. And Charlie was a co-star with her. They co-starred in "Spin City" together. I`m sure they spent a lot of time together. And I think that`s what Heather goes back to. Here I am confiding in Denise Richards as a friend, meanwhile, she`s plotting a way to take away my husband.

That`s pretty hard to handle.

HAMMER: Carlos, I got 20 seconds here but are you like me, do you feel Heather should be applauded for opening up about a problem that millions of people face? Maybe she`ll be an inspiration to a lot of people.

DIAZ: I think she will be. But I think this is one of those things that the longer you`re in Hollywood, before you go into a rehab facility like this to get help, the longer you`re going to stay in that. She might have a lot of things pint up she needs to work out.

HAMMER: We obviously all wish the very best for Heather Locklear, somebody I`ve always admired, I had a chance to work with her years ago. And I just think the world of her. Best of look to you, Heather. Carlos Diaz, Carolina Bermudez, I thank you.

Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen took their ugly divorce battle public and I have to say, I think it`s been a terrible move. Christie Brinkley is gambling big-time by doing the same thing. Here`s what I`m asking on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day. Christie Brinkley`s public divorce, could it backfire on her? You can vote at cnn.com/SHOWBIZTONIGHT. You can also e-mail us at showbiztonight@cnn.com.

Well, the Hulk Hogan divorce certainly has been very public. I can`t believe how this family is falling apart. And now tonight there are new stunning developments. Brooke, Hulk`s daughter, lashing out at her mom. These two seemed so close and now things really thing to be getting really ugly. What has Brooke so fired up that she doesn`t even want to talk to her own mom? That`s coming up.

Also, when romance hurts, Anne Hathaway`s heartache. Her ex-boyfriend has been arrested on explosive fraud charges. I know she was really in love with his guy. Could this actually damage Anne`s career? And then there is Lance Armstrong who has dated just about every hot Hollywood star like Kate Hudson. But will all this hooking up hurt Lance`s anti-cancer crusade. SHOWBIZ investigates.

Plus the brutal Matthew McConaughey surf and turf war. This is unbelievable. It`s the aftermath of a fight between Matt`s surfer buddies and the paparazzi. Is there actually some kind of a "West Side Story" rumble brewing on a West Coast beach?

First remember you can watch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT video anytime. Keep in mind, we`re always posting new stuff for you to check out. Get over to cnn.com/showbiztonight. Among the videos playing right now, it`s the "it" girl smackdown. Can Hollywood`s fresh faces take over from the divas who are on top?

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is coming right back.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Nice move. That was Seal`s wild ride to escape the paparazzi and just until you hear about the newest war with the paparazzi. Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. You`re watching TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Tonight Matthew McConaughey`s surf and turf war. This is kind of like something out of "West Side Story" but instead of the Sharks facing off against the Jets, we have the surfers versus the paparazzi. An unbelievable fight broke out in Malibu, California, between the paparazzi and surfers where Matthew was riding the waves. The surfers told the paparazzi to get out of their face and now they are apparently getting ready to rumble again.

Joining me tonight in New York, Maggie Gallant, the founder of Spotlight Communications. In Los Angeles tonight, Laura Saltman, correspondent for accesshollywood.com. So on the site of the paparazzi photo agency, X7, there`s a message board. And right there is war of words has broken out between the paparazzi and the surfers. I have to read some of the ugly back and forth that`s going on on this board.

One person writing, quote, "Rendezvous next Saturday in the same spot, 50 plus, paparazzi. They`re going to meet you there. Good luck and enjoy the high waves."

And there was this reply. "Bring it on paps. It will be the end for you on the beach. Saturday is on."

Maggie, do you really think we`re going to see a rumble between the surfers and the paparazzi on the beaches of Malibu or is this just a lot of hot air?

MAGGIE GALLANT, SPOTLIGHT COMMUNICATIONS: I hope so. I`m not getting enough good television this summer, I need to be entertained. That`s a fight I would really like to see -- again.

HAMMER: There`s your reality show, the paparazzi and the surfers going at it. I have to tell you, though, the paparazzi are down-right unapologetic about what`s going on. I have to read more from this site.

Quote, "I`m a pap. I`ve made $94,000 and I`m only four months into it because," listen to this, "stupid white trash people like your fat mother buy the magazines. We hunt the very people you worship for no reason."

Laura Saltman, over to you, that is hideous. With comments like that, if this surf and turf war actually does break out, U know that most people are not going to be rooting for the paparazzi.

LAURA SALTMAN, ACCESSHOLLYWOOD.COM: Absolutely not. It`s getting seriously scary out there with these paparazzi. I`ve been talking to a lot of them recently over the last few months. What I`ve learned is that they`re hiring convicted felons right out of prison. They`ll give them a camera, teach them how to shoot and they`ll go out. They don`t care about fighting. They`ll get in people`s faces. And someone really is going to get hurt, injured, if not killed. Honestly.

HAMMER: And - to be clear, they`re not all convicted felons.

SALTMAN: No. Of course not. But that`s the new thing they`re doing whereas years ago it was real photographers. Now they`re literally handing people who are possibly gang members are getting cameras and going out there. Because they know that there`s money to be made.

HAMMER: I know a lot of the real photographers who came up in the business and are now not all that happy with some of the people who are being hired as celebrity photographers, which is the polite way of calling them. You guys ready for some more from this particular message board?

GALLANT: Bring it on.

HAMMER: This is more from the X-17 photo agency`s message board. Listen to this quote. From a paparazzi, "We travel in packs to work. We don`t harm people. Sorry due, but in the video one of the paps was using a $8,000 lens and respecting the beach guests and far away from the corner where you guys surf."

Now, Maggie, let me play devil`s advocate here just a moment, does this guy have a point. If they want to take photos of Matthew McConaughey from a distance, then no one should stop them from doing their job?

GALLANT: This guy definitely made a better point, and was a little more articulate than the last quote you talked about. The truth is, what he`s saying is they`re trying to make a living. And what they are doing by capturing these photos that all of America is purchasing off the newsstands. He`s out there trying to make a living, not exactly hanging out on the beach and surfing all day. So he makes a very good point.

And it`s very hard to say all of the paparazzi, that they`re all unethical and they`re all putting people`s lives in danger. There are those people absolutely, and those kinds of games have got to be stopped. Because it isn`t is someone going to get hurt? They are hurt all the time and people have been seriously injured and it`s a very dangerous scene right now.

HAMMER: Can we put up the Seal video right now Charles? Do we have that ready to roll? Because this is another example of something very shocking that happened last week. Seal`s trying to get away from the paparazzi, and look at what he does. He backs his car at a rather rapid pace out of this parking lot into the intersection. Ten seconds for you here, Laura, what do you think? Somebody is going to get hurt as you`ve said.

SALTMAN: That`s seriously disturbing to me. Not only that he did that and how dangerous it is, but the paparazzi followed him as he did it so they can continue to get their shot. And that is the problem here.

HAMMER: Maggie Gallant, Laura Saltman, I thank you both.

Now late today, X-17 released this statement to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT saying, quote, "Reports of a showdown being planned for this weekend are completely false. We would never condone such a thing. What we do support is our photographers` right to do their jobs while keeping to themselves on a public beach. A journalist`s First Amendment rights are not outweighed by the desire of some seemingly inebriated surfers to protect their turf."

All right. Heather Locklear and Denise Richards in crisis tonight. Heather checks herself into the facility for depression and anxiety. Denise puts her two kids in therapy and they`re young. What`s going on here? You`ve got to stick around for this. Heather and Denise in crisis.

And it could be a big crisis for Anne Hathaway. Tonight she`s heartbroken over having to dump her boyfriend who`s been arrested for big-time fraud. The question is, is that doing to damage her career? Then you have Lance Armstrong who seems to be dating all of Hollywood, including Kate Hudson. Could that come back to haunt him and could it possibly hurt his anti- cancer crusade? SHOWBIZ investigates when romance hurts. That is coming up.

And I know us TV people are supposed to play it cool. But that wasn`t the case for my colleague from the "Today Show" Natalie Morales when she found out a wild secret about the Naked Cowboy. Really funny stuff and it is coming up next.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MATT LAUER, "THE TODAY SHOW": When we come back, Natalie Morales gets to the bottom of a legal dispute involving the Naked Cowboy. That`s right after this.

NATALIE MORALES, "THE TODAY SHOW": I`m not looking.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I don`t know, Natalie, it kind of looks like you were sneaking a little peek there. Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Well, the Naked Cowboy hangs out in times square all year round strumming his guitar, wearing his boots, hat and not much else all year round. But I want you to take a look at what happens to "The Today Show`s" Natalie Morales when she finds out the naked truth about the Naked Cowboy.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Meredith wants to know if you double up on the underpants.

NAKED COWBOY, GUY IN TIMES SQUARE: I actually wear two pairs. One time in Indianapolis I was arrested and I was told if they can even see the imprint of your genitalia ...

MORALES: We get it. We`re going to be following your case here.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I think Natalie was blushing there. This guy is certainly the butt of a lot of jokes but he could become very rich very soon. A judge just ruled that he can sue the makers of M&Ms for trademark infringement. They put out a billboard of an M&M that looks a lot like him, the Naked Cowboy. And if he wins I`m thinking he can probably get some clothes.

We`ve got shocking and revealing stories about the nasty Hulk Hogan divorce. I`m just so stunned by how this family has just fallen apart. Tonight Hulk`s daughter, Brooke, lashing out at her very own mom. Man is she fired up. You won`t believe why. That is coming up.

And more big stars in crisis. Heather Locklear shocked everyone and checked herself into a medical facility for anxiety and for depression. Her former best friend, Denise Richards, is going through a nasty divorce with Charlie Sheen, puts her two very young kids in therapy. Heather and Denise in crisis, next.

And it could be a big crisis for Anne Hathaway. Her ex-boyfriend arrested for big-time fraud and it involves the Vatican. Will it damage her career?

Then you have Lance Armstrong who seems to be dating all of Hollywood, like Kate Hudson. Could it come back to haunt him and hurt his anti-cancer crusade? SHOWBIZ investigates when romance hurts. And that`s coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. We`re coming right back.

(NEWSBREAK)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: On SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, former friends in crisis. Heather Locklear checks herself into a treatment facility for depression. Meanwhile, Denise Richards, her former friend and rival for Richie Sambora, reveals her very young kids are in therapy. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has the inside story of Heather and Denise in crisis.

Love hurts, Hollywood edition. Anne Hathaway`s ex-boyfriend gets arrested for fraud. And Lance Armstrong dates Kate Hudson, just the latest in the string of Hollywood beauties for him. But I have to wonder, is all of this star dating hurting his image as a cancer crusader?

Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT investigates when romance hurts in Hollywood.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City. You are locked into TV`s most provocative entertainment news show.

Tonight, the casualties of Hollywood divorce, including the latest shocking news breaking today about Heather Locklear. Listen to this. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has confirmed what "People" magazine first reported, that Locklear has checked into a facility in Arizona to be treated for anxiety and depression. This comes on the heels of a very public divorce from singer Richie Sambora.

And Sambora`s latest ex, Denise Richards has reportedly put her two young kids with Charlie Sheen in therapy. And there are hard feelings between Brooke Hogan and her mom, Linda. Brooke says she`s not on speaking terms with her mother since she`s been dating one of Brooke`s former classmates.

Joining me tonight in New York is Carolina Bermudez, senior editor for "In Touch Weekly." Also in New York tonight Carlos Diaz, correspondent for "Extra" and in New York as well, Dr. Michelle Callahan, psychologist and relationship expert.

Gang, we`ve got to start of with this Heather Locklear story, truly shocking to me. It`s just startling She`s in this facility for anxiety and depression. Her spokesperson tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, quote, "Heather has been dealing with anxiety and depression. She requested an in-depth evaluation of her medication and entered into a medical facility for proper diagnosis and treatment."

Carlos, are you at all surprised that Heather took this step?

DIAZ: Not at all. If you look at the history in the last few weeks, you have denise Richards, her former friend, doing a reality show where she says she didn`t steal Richie Sambora from her. You have Richie Sambora, her ex, getting a DUI. And then you have her ex ex, Tommy Lee on LARRY KING. That`s enough to put anybody in therapy right here so obviously she`s got a lot to deal with.

HAMMER: Yeah, I`m sad to hear it, though because I love the Heather Locklear and she`s one of America`s sweethearts. Carolina, what about you? Are you surprised by the news?

BERMUDEZ: I am actually surprised. I think Heather`s been a Hollywood staple for decades. And she has really dealt with the fame and keeping her privacy very well. But this came as a shock to me because normally Heather`s the woman that has it all together. Now as we can see, she`s has had to deal with losing and friend and still has to deal with Richie Sambora and his addiction problem and the DUI problem. So it`s a lot for somebody to handle.

HAMMER: That`s exactly what "People" magazine is reporting, since Heather and rocker Richie Sambora split back in `06, Heather`s really been struggling with depression. These two have a daughter together, Eva, who is 10-years-old.

Dr. Michelle, out to you. It sounds like she was indeed having trouble coping.

MICHELLE CALLAHAN, PSYCHOLOGIST: It does. And it`s a great idea for her to go ahead into that facility and have that uninterrupted time. You often think oh, you can go to therapy a few times a week but it makes a huge difference if you just go in and spend 24/7 time working on yourself, uninterrupted without all the day to day responsibilities that are such a huge distraction.

HAMMER: Well, along with the split from Richie Sambora, Heather also had to deal with Sambora`s very public romance with one of her ex friends Denise Richards. Carlos, I`d have to think it didn`t help that Denise has been talking about this very publicly and nonstop recently while she`s been out promoting her reality show.

DIAZ: And she jokes about it on the show. She jokes about the fact that Heather accuses her of breaking up her marriage and this and that. And when you look at the show, it`s used as kind of comedic fodder on the show. These are very real feelings that Heather might be feelings. So for her to be feeling these feelings and watching it being made fun of on E! has got to take its toll.

HAMMER: That`s terrible.

Well, we have another therapy shocker we`ve got to tell you about. Denise Richards telling "In Touch Weekly" that her two young girls Sam and Lola are already in therapy.

Here`s exactly what`s in "In Touch Weekly," quote, "My kids are in therapy. It`s very sad that they need to be there but they do for now. On the other hand it`s good they have an outlet to deal with their feelings and someone who is just their advocate."

Now, Carolina, you are senior editor for "In Touch Weekly." Why did Denise say she had to go through and put them in therapy?

BERMUDEZ: Apparently the girls are very esitant to go over to their father`s house. Also they`re supposed to have a nanny supervising them at all times while they are over at Charlie Sheen`s house. Apparently he`s not been cooperating and that`s the reason why she wants them to get therapy so they can deal with their feelings.

Also Denise is saying one of her daughters slept with Charlie in one room and another slept with his new wife, Brooke, in another. I don`t know what she`s inferring but those are very serious allegations. If that`s where she`s going with this, they definitely need to be in therapy.

HAMMER: Through this entire ordeal between Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards, we keep coming back to the kids and what is best for the kids. Dr. Michelle, you`re an expert. Does it trouble you that Denise had to put her kids in therapy when they`re so young or should we be looking at this as a really good thing?

CALLAHAN: I think it`s a good thing when instead of thinking about therapy as a reaction to things that we can sometimes be proactive and get kids involved before things get really bad. We are always talking about what happens to kids and teens as they get in trouble and they have all these problems with watching divorce and their parents fight.

So why not do something about it up front, early on? There`s been so much drama between her and Charlie that this is a good time for them to get their own space, have their own opportunity to talk to people and get away from their own parents` issues. Because think about how much drama they bring to a situation. How can they support the kids when they`re still caught up in all their own issues?

HAMMER: There`s been so little good news in that whole drama between Denise and Charlie. So I`m going to call this very good news. And while Denise is trying to get her daughters the help they need, another mother- daughter relationship in Hollywood is in dire need of therapy right now. Hulk Hogan`s soon to be ex Linda and his daughter Brooke Hogan. In an interview with "Us Weekly" Brooke says she is not on speaking terms with her mother.

Saying, quote, "Honestly, I don`t know what to say because I can`t relate to her right now. I am extremely shocked. I know if I was 48 years old I wouldn`t date a 19 year old. I see her at the jail visiting Nick and she asks me why and I say, I don`t condone what you`re doing."

What do you think, Carlos? Is Brooke being too hard on her mom?

DIAZ: In another interview, Brooke actually blames her mom on all the things going wrong with the Hogan family right now. There is a 911 call out now where Linda Hogan called 911 because she saw Hulk Hogan in front of the house. Then she followed Hulk Hogan and the 911 operator said, if you`re afraid of him, don`t follow him. If you`re getting advice from a 911 operator on how to handle yourself, the there are things that are wrong. Maybe Brooke`s in the right here.

HAMMER: What do you think, Carolina Bermudez? It sounds like Brooke has essentially cut mom off at the moment. It`s not like this family needs any more drama than they already have going on. But is she being harsh or can you see where she`s coming from?

BERMUDEZ: I can definitely see where Brooke is coming from. She has a great head on her shoulders for doing this and for separating herself from the madness that her mother is doing. It`s almost like a reversal of roles here. Brooke is being the responsible one which is what Linda should be doing as the parent. Brooke, kudos to you, separate yourself from all the drama and maybe you can start working on your career and get the success that you`ve always been looking for.

HAMMER: Michelle Callahan, what do you think? Is this exactly what Linda Hogan needs right now, a little, I don`t know, lesson in tough love from her own daughter?

CALLAHAN: I`m glad to see the level of maturity that she`s trying to handle things. Her daughter is in a tough spot, her daughter is, in trying to juggle the family dramas unfolding. And what is happening has got to be so embarrassing for her and probably feels like her mom is caught up in that honeymoon period where she`s so into herself and her new lover that maybe she`s leaving Brooke alone and having to cope with what is going on and all the terrible things their family is struggling with. So she is trying to take the high road and probably wishes her mom would do more to support her.

HAMMER: I`ve got to tell you I feel all kinds of sympathy for Brooke Hogan in this situation. Man, what a mess this whole situation continues to be with the Hogan family.

Carolina Bermudez, Carlos Diaz, Michelle Callahan, I do thank you all for being with us tonight. We`ve been asking you to vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day. It`s this -- Christie Brinkley`s public divorce trial, could it backfire on her? Let us know what you think by getting online. Cnn.com/showbiztonight. You`ve got more to say? I want to hear from you. E-mail me at showbiztonight@cnn.com.

Well, Lance Armstrong went through his own divorce and the break-up of his engagement to Sheryl Crow. Now he`s with Kate Hudson. The guy does get around and I don`t just mean on the bicycle if you know what I`m saying. With all the of this carousing with the women of Hollywood, could it end up hurting his image as a cancer crusader. You think about that, we`ll get into that coming up.

Also big time trouble for Anne Hathaway`s ex. He has actually been arrested on fraud charges and could be looking at serious time behind bars here. That is coming up as we take a look at when Hollywood romance hurts.

Also, Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo, are they together, aren`t they together? If you believe the tabloids, these two are constantly breaking up. But now Jessica is setting the record straight. It is Jessica in her own words. And that is still to come on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Tonight we`ve got two big stories. New right now, that really proves romance can hurt in Hollywood. Brand new tonight, "Get Smart" star Anne Hathaway`s ex- boyfriend arrested on charges of bilking investors out of millions of dollars while posing as an agent for the Vatican. Yes, that Vatican. The one in Rome.

And seven time Tour de France winner and cancer survivor Lance Armstrong is dating up a storm in Hollywood. His new love, Kate Hudson. But tonight, there`s a startling report that says Lance`s love life could actually be damaging his Livestrong crusade against cancer. Joining me tonight from Hollywood, Michael Yo host of "Yo on E!" heard on XM and Sirius Satellite Radio.

Also in Hollywood tonight, Laura Saltman, correspondent for accesshollywood.com.

All right, Laura, Michael, we have to start off with this Anne Hathaway story. She`s currently starring in the number one film in America, "Get Smart." She has long had the image of little miss innocent. Anne broke up with her long-time boyfriend, a guy named Raffaello Follieri. That was just a week before his arrest. Michael, what do you think. Has romance hurt here? Has Anne`s image been tainted by this?

MICHAEL YO, "YO ON E!": No. Romance hurts when you`re Ben Affleck dating Jennifer Lopez, P. Diddy dating Jennifer Lopez or Kevin Federline dating Britney Spears.

This is not a big deal at all. She got out at the right time before the story broke. I don`t think Anne Hathaway -- her image is still squeaky clean, she looks hot in the movie, she`s beautiful, she`s kicking butt in "Get Smart" in Chanel. Come on, the girl can`t do wrong.

HAMMER: All right. But I think you made the good point she got out just in time. Because a couple moments later and maybe some more eyebrows would have been raised. Clearly, she`d like to stay as far away from this guy as possible and not be connected to him. Sorry, Anne. The new issue of "In Style Magazine" which is just out has her quoted as gushing about her then boyfriend. You have to listen to this quote.

"I enjoy living with him so much but we`re in his apartment and we`ve decided that it`s time to fine where our home is going to be. There is not pressure about marriage. We`re quite happy. I`m just staying where I am because I am happy, not because I`m sweating out a proposal."

It might have been a blessing that she wasn`t sweating out a proposal. But what do you think, Laura? Now do you think she`s perhaps sweating out how she can come out of this completely without her all-American sweetheart image being damaged?

SALTMAN: I think Anne Hathaway will actually be completely fine. That squeaky clean image is great for her, but I think this could actually help her a little bit. They know from her "The Devil Wears Prada." They now know her from "Get Smart." The kids knew her from "Princess Diaries."

I think she needs a little scandal in her life to get the stakes up. As we learned a couple days ago scandal puts you up on that heat index in celebrity -- I think it would be good for her.

HAMMER: Now Anne Hathaway has a little of the Hollywood celebrity scandal street cred, I guess. Let`s move on to another story where I believe romance hurts.

This is an extraordinary piece that came out in "The New York Times." All about Lance Armstrong, who of course is seven-time winner of the Tour de France, a cancer survivor, founder of the Livestrong charity. But he`s quickly earning another title, that of Hollywood playboy. Take a look at the Hollywood stars who have made the -- if I may call this, the Tour de Lance. Ashley Olsen, who he was said to have dated briefly, Sheryl Crow of course to whom he was engaged and now he has been spotted canoodling with Kate Hudson. And I just love saying the word "canoodling."

Now this "New York Times" piece suggests Lance is better known for being a serial dater and it`s hurting him. What do you think, Michael Yo?

YO: I don`t think that`s true at all. We all know what celebrities he dates but we all know his cancer foundation, Livestrong the yellow bands were a big, big trend a couple of years ago. And if anybody`s judging him by the people he`s dating, going against what he`s done for his cancer foundation, I think this story is way out of line. The guy is single, he`s supposed to date people. And plus he`s trying to get over the breakup with Matthew McConaughey. So you`ve got to date all these celebrities.

HAMMER: And he is a man of many sides. There are many parts of his personality that perhaps we`re unaware of until now. Because this "New York Times" article gets into it. I want to read this one particular quote that they give of one of his friends about his post-cycling lifestyle.

Listen to this, quote, "As a friend of his, cycling was the most grim, boring, monovision part of him. The bike guy was this gaunt, driven fighter. Off the bike he is this flip-flop-wearing, beer-drinking, serial- dating marquee idol."

Wow, quite a quote. A serial-dating marquee idol kind of makes him sound a little like George Clooney. Laura, that`s not necessarily a bad thing, is it?

SALTMAN: Hello! George Clooney, come on, of course not. I`m not the hugest fan of Lance Armstrong. I`ve interviewed him a bunch of times, I`ve always found him to be a little distant and cold. On the other hand, George Clooney is always fun and hilarious and sarcastic. I don`t get why women love him. But listen, I don`t think it`s ever a bad thing when people are talking about you. If we`re talking about you, you get to put out what you want to do, your movie, your TV show, your charity. Eventually that comes around with you as well.

HAMMER: Well, he got a lot of attention obviously when he was engaged to Sheryl Crow. On Sheryl`s new album, listen to this lyric that I will quote for you, "We made love all day in our little hideaway but I blew up our love nest by making one little request, diamond ring."

Michael Yo, I`ve got 20 seconds for you, is there also the danger that Lance`s image could actually change from Lance the athletic hero to Lance the guy that broke Sheryl`s heart? People still talk about that.

YO: No, Lance is going to be fine. It`s all about his foundation. He`s a single guy. He should date people. He overcame cancer and he also has another handicap down low he`s gotten over. So good for Lance. You do your thing.

HAMMER: Wear your yellow bands proudly, everyone. Michael Yo, Laura, Saltman, thanks for being here tonight.

Well, tonight Jessica Simpson is speaking out about her relationship with Tony Romo. The tabloids have been speculating since day one about Jessica and Tony. There have been constant rumors about break-ups. But on "The View," Jessica said the rumors aren`t true. The co-hosts asked if there are wedding bells in the works for the two of them. Here`s what Jessica had to stay.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JESSICA SIMSPON, ENTERTAINER: We`re still together. We`ve been together for about seven months, almost eight months now. And I don`t really know about wedding bells. But I still love him. And I`m still with him. So that`s a good sign.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: There you go. Jessica and Tony were recently at her sister Ashley`s wedding to Pete Wentz (ph). Jessica said the cutest part was that Ashley and Pete`s bulldog named Hemingway was the ring bearer. Jessica also says that she really looks forward to being an aunt now that Ashley is preggers.

Well, on Tuesday, we asked you to vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day. Don Imus` racial comments, do you buy his explanation? Forty-six percent of you said yes, 54 percent of you said now. Kind of an even split.

Among the e-mails, one from John in California who writes, "Imus has done this too many times for it to just be the public taking his statements out of context."

Also Douglas in New York writing, "Everybody needs to lighten up. Don was just saying that blacks are arrested in a disproportionate manner as compared to other races."
