(MUSIC)

Hello, I`m A.J. Hammer, broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.

ANDERSON: Hi there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson, coming to you from Hollywood. And tonight, for the first time since the Hogan family meltdown, Brooke Hogan is giving her first TV interview about this terrible mess the Hogans are in these days. That`s coming up.

HAMMER: But first, it`s a deal. After a week of lurid, dirty, downright jaw-dropping details of Christie Brinkley`s marriage spilled in divorce court, Brinkley and her ex say they have settled this nightmare. And wait until you hear who gets what. The surprise settlement came today after we heard everything from Peter Cook`s porn and Internet sex habits to a psychiatrist telling both of them they needed to get into therapy.

Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT bringing you the breaking Brinkley developments making news right now.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE(voice over): Throughout the world, throngs of people hailed the end of the war --

HAMMER (voice over): They are partying in the streets after a tense and bitter war comes to an end. Model Christie Brinkley and her husband, Peter Cook, have reached a settlement agreement ending a nasty divorce trial that turned into an all-out war. Christie Brinkley looked teary-eyed but relieved.

CHRISTIE BRINKLEY, SUPERMODEL: It`s for me a very bittersweet moment because it really is the death of a marriage. But it`s also, I think, a new start for all of us, and I`m very pleased with the results today.

HAMMER: Brinkley got sole custody of the couple`s two kids, Taylor and Jack. Plus she got to keep all of her property, although she says her kids were all she wanted.

BRINKLEY: A mother`s greatest fear is somebody trying to take her children, trying to take custody of her children, and that`s what I was up against.

HAMMER: As for Peter, whose affair with then-teenager Diana Bianchi led to this divorce, he got $2.1 million in the settlement. And he got to keep his current visiting arrangement with the kids -- Wednesdays and every other weekend. "People.com" broke the news of the settlement this morning.

SHARON COTLIAR, "PEOPLE MAGAZINE": Both sides, Christie Brinkley`s and Peter Cook`s team went to a local hotel and worked through the night literally. At 6:15 in the morning - that`s when this agreement was reached.

HAMMER: But "People`s" Sharon Cotliar tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, the fighting exes did exchange words during the all-nighter, sort of.

COTLIAR: Apparently, they did talk, but one source said they don`t communicate very well. So most of the discussions were left to their lawyers.

HAMMER: So after all the bitter back and forth during this trial --

BOB COHEN, ATTORNEY FOR CHRISTIE BRINKLEY: There is nobody that`s more unfit to be a custodial parent in the courts today that I know than Peter.

NORMAN SHERESKY, ATTORNEY FOR PETER COOK: She can`t get rid of her anger. She is the epitome of a bad mother.

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is asking, what finally made everybody stop fighting --

BRINKLEY: Time to go to court.

HAMMER: And give peace a chance?

BRINKLEY: I`m really glad that today we found some peace.

HAMMER: During the weeklong trial, Cook definite was the one on the hot seat, thanks to the truly nasty stuff that came out about him in court.

ALICIA QUARLES, ASSOCIATED PRESS: Peter, Peter, Peter, Peter. First of all, he was sleeping with Diana Bianchi when she was 18 years old, cheating on Christie Brinkley with her. Then, it comes out that he paid her $300,000 in hush money, which was money wasted because home girl testified on the stand, told all their dirty secrets and it`s public knowledge now.

Peter also had a $3,000 a month addiction to Internet porn and who knows what else would have come out. I don`t even want to know anymore.

COTLIAR: The psychiatrist had testified that Peter Cook basically is a narcissist and should not get custody. That may have been a big reason why both sides decided, you know, maybe it`s time to go back to the table.

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you the worst was yet to come. A pair of look-alike private eyes hired by Brinkley say they were ready to testify about some dirt they dug up on Cook.

STEPHEN DUX, PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR HIRED BY BRINKLEY: We followed Peter Cook for a year and we gathered a lot of information that could have been very damaging to him being with his children. He dodged a bullet. Yes, he dodged a bullet definitely.

HAMMER: But Brinkley may have been feeling the heat, too. Although the court-appointed shrink recommended she get custody, he also said Brinkley needs counseling to deal with her anger and whatever issues may have caused her to wrack up four divorces.

QUARLES: The psychologist said, "Oh, Christie, you need counseling, too. And you`ve got to watch your choice of men. Suddenly, there`s a red flag raised. I think both of them said, "OK. Enough dirt. Let`s just settle this."

HAMMER: And it is settled. But the end of this war doesn`t come with any parade, just a former husband and wife who were left to assess the damage and wonder if anyone truly won.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

Are there any real winners here, and was it just a huge mistake for Christie Brinkley to push for this battle to be so public?

Joining me tonight in New York, defense attorney Midwin Charles and Vinnie Politan. Vinnie hosts, "Me and Vinnie." You can hear it on Sirius Satellite Radio.

All right. Midwin, Vinnie, Christie got what she wanted here -- sole custody of her kids, all of her property.

But Midwin, I want to start with you. Even with this great victory on paper, was it really worth it for her to let things become so vicious in such a public way?

MIDWIN CHARLES, DEFENSE ATTORNEY: Well, I think from Christie`s perspective, her number one concern is whether or not Peter Cook is a good father. And I think in the light of all these salacious details that have come out, that is clearly not the case. So she had to do what she felt she needed to do in order to get custody. Peter Cook could have avoided all of this if he had settled out of court.

HAMMER: Yes. It is fair to say though that Christie Brinkley did not come out of this whole thing smelling like roses here. Even the very psychiatrist who said she should get sole custody of the kids also said and again, quite publicly, that she needs help for her alleged anger issues.

Vinnie, what do you think? Was it a mistake for Christie to go through with it the way that she did?

VINNIE POLITAN, HOST, "VINNIE AND ME": Well, if you look at it legally, you know, you go into a lawsuit which is what a divorce is all about, and you want to win. She won. So you really can`t question the strategy. Legally, you`ve got to look at the public relations aspect of it, what effect it might have on the children. But just as a lawyer looking at the case, hey, she went in there, put the pressure on this guy, exposed him for what he is, and she walked away with the children, which is exactly what she wanted. And she kept the properties.

HAMMER: All right. Let`s take the legal side out of it, because, OK, I can call this a legal win on her behalf. More abstractly perhaps, though, let`s look at it ...

POLITAN: OK.

HAMMER: ... because some pretty salacious details came out during this trial obviously. I mean we had accusations of Cook manhandling their kids and the extent of his extreme porn habit. He said he was spending like $3,000 a month on his interactive good time show, they call them. Midwin, even though Peter Cook walks away with $2.1 million and maintains visitation with the kids, is it possible for him to look at this as a win?

CHARLES: I don`t think so. I mean, he is pretty much, at this point, on the bottom of everybody`s list with respect to image, and the things that he`s done. I mean, this is a man who had no problem sleeping with an 18- year-old girl, and then offering to pay her $300,000 to keep her mouth shut. As we all can see, it was money not well spent.

HAMMER: Yes. And I have to say that all the coverage I have yet to hear anybody say anything nice about the man. Am I missing something here? Has anybody heard anything like that?

CHARLES: No. You`re on track with that one.

HAMMER: I do want to take a look and listen once again to what Christie had to say after the settlement was announced. Charles, could you roll that?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BRINKLEY: It`s for me a very bittersweet moment because it really is the death of a marriage. But it`s also, I think, a new start for all of us and I`m very pleased with the results today.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: OK. So she`s not jumping up and down. She had some true emotion and tears in her eyes there, but she said she`s satisfied with the results. Despite that, we still got to see the side of her that, you know, for Christie Brinkley, America`s sweetheart, we`ve never been able to see before. She was crying on the stand. She was being portrayed as a woman who had this alleged anger issue, and being told point-blank she can`t make good choices in men.

So Vinnie, again, not from the legal perspective but just looking at the big picture here ...

POLITAN: Sure.

HAMMER: ... is this really a win for Christie Brinkley?

POLITAN: Well, you know, I think we all knew she had trouble picking good men. This was number four, right A.J.?

HAMMER: Right. Yes.

POLITAN: This wasn`t her first marriage. We knew that already. The fact she`s crying on the stand -- I mean, how many people in this country get divorced? About half of marriages end up in divorce and half those people are broken-hearted when had it happens. So I think she almost came out playing the role of the victim here.

I mean, we`ve been talking about Cook being the bad guy, Cook being the monster. And she comes out -- she`s the mom. She did anything that she could to get her children, and I think you can look at her that way as well, someone who is willing to put her public relations, her image at risk, anything, "Just let me have my children."

HAMMER: Yes. I believe that she will, eventually as time passes, come out OK. I don`t know if I could say the same for Peter Cook. I don`t think a lot of that damage can be undone at all.

POLITAN: He`s the Cook monster.

HAMMER: Midwin Charles and Vinnie Politan, I appreciate your being here tonight.

CHARLES: Thank you.

POLITAN: Thank you.

ANDERSON: A.J., emotional cheating is what the lawyer for Alex Rodriguez`s wife, Cynthia Rodriguez says went on between A-Rod and Madonna.

HAMMER: Oh, yes, Brooke. C-Rod`s people made it quite clear, claiming A- Rod and Madonna never actually slept together.

ANDERSON: That`s right. And now, for the first time since this shocking scandal broke, Cynthia is speaking out about her divorce and the Madonna mess. Plus, the stunning lessons C-Rod can learn from other first wives who have gone through painful splits and bounced back. That`s next. Also this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DAPHNE BROGDON, COMEDIENNE AND TV HOST: They were trying to say they didn`t really hook up on "Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and we`re like, "Yes, we believe that."

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: And ever since then, we`ve been using that word Brangelina sometimes reluctantly. Well, tonight, I`ve got a revealing showbiz special report, why do so many other stars who work together end up in the sack together? It`s the hottest Hollywood hookups.

ANDERSON: And the Jamie Lynn Spears baby bombshell. You know, I am really happy for Britney Spears` teenage sister. She`s showing off her daughter to the world. But I`ve got to ask, does her appearing on a magazine cover glamorize teen pregnancy? People really fired up over this, coming up.

HAMMER: And what do you think? We want to hear from you on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day on the very subject. "Jamie Lynn Spears First Baby Photos: Does appearing on a magazine cover glamorize teen pregnancy?" Go to CNN.com/ShowbizTonight to vote; our email showbiztonight@cnn.com.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

IVANA TRUMP, DONALD TRUMP`S EX-WIFE: Don`t get mad. Get everything.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Some sage words of advice from Ivana Trump in "The First Wives` Club." Other Hollywood exes would be wise to take notes from somebody who has been there, done ha and come out on top.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. Tonight, Hollywood`s first wives` club. Jennifer Aniston is a member. So are Linda Hogan and Ivana Trump. Now, the club is about induct its newest addition, Alex Rodriguez` soon-to-be ex, Cynthia. She is speaking out for the very first time since her shocking divorce news broke telling the "New York Post`s" Cindy Adams, she`s not interested in publicly dragging A-Rod`s name through the mud. But is that a move the Hollywood first wives` club would endorse? And what lessons can Cynthia Rodriguez learn from other first wives?

Joining me tonight from New York is Dr. Judy Kuriansky, clinical psychologist and author of this book, "The Complete Idiot`s Guide to a Healthy Relationship." Also Jill Brook, editor-in-chief of "FirstWivesWorld.com." Jill, Dr. Judy, great to see you both.

And Cynthia Rodriguez told the "New York Post" today that she was not out for revenge in her split from Alex Rodriguez, and though the marriage is over, she still loves him. But A-Rod allegedly cheated on her repeatedly and had what Cynthia`s lawyers call an affair of the heart with Madonna.

Dr. Judy, wouldn`t it be within Cynthia`s rights as a first wife and even maybe healthy for her to be angry at her husband?

DR. JUDY KURIANSKY, CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST: Yes, Brooke. As a psychologist who has helped so many women go through being dumped royally by guys like that, like Cynthia Rodriguez has, I say yes, it`s healthy to let yourself be angry. You feel like you want to throttle him. You might want to do what Lorena Bobbitt did to her man when he betrayed her.

ANDERSON: Oh, no!

KURIANSKY: And all those -- You feel that way. Don`t act on it, I say. Don`t act on it, but let it out. Tell your friends. Pound on pillows. Get that ugly feeling out of yourself, and that will be healthier. Then band together with other women and get a support system like the women in "First Wives Club," that wonderful movie did.

ANDERSON: Yes. Unite together, support one another. It would be beneficial for all. Well, there were reports that Cynthia Rodriguez went on a $100,000 shopping spree in Paris shortly before her divorce news broke. Jill, though she denies doing that, is that a move the first wives` club would encourage, hitting A-Rod where it hurts, in his bank account?

JILL BROOKE, "WWW.FIRSTWIVESCLUB.COM": Well, I think when you`re worth $50 million or more, $100,000 isn`t going to impact you that much. But it`s totally understandable when you`re not feeling good. You want to feel good and you look for outlets. I think that Cynthia Rodriguez can certainly afford $100,000, but what sometimes also happens is that, you know, there are women who aren`t feeling good after being betrayed, and then they spend money that they need for their family life.

However, you know, at firstwivesworld.com our philosophy is, is that you have to love your children more than you hate your spouse. You really need to love your children more than you hate your spouse. You really have to manage these emotions. Sure, it`s totally understandable to feel angry and hurt, but manage those emotions when you have children because there are huge emotional costs to the family.

ANDERSON: Yes. That`s great advice. Put those kids first. Well, Jennifer Aniston doesn`t have kids, but she does know all too well the difficulties of being a first wife in Hollywood. Not only was she going through a painful divorce from Brad Pitt, she had to watch as he and Angelina Jolie graced the cover of magazines just months after they split up. Jen did weather the storm and is now happily dating John Mayer. Dr. Judy, should Jennifer Aniston open up a coaching clinic to help other first wives?

KURIANSKY: Well, she`s got some good couple of steps there, Brooke, that she`s done that I often advise women and they do well. One is she got her body back in shape, and even though she was good before. In the first wives` club, though, people take it too far, and you have the Goldie Hawn character.

(CROSS TALK)

So that`s one thing -- feel good about your body. Looking good is the best revenge. And the other thing that Jennifer Aniston did is she got herself a hot new stud in John Mayer.

ANDERSON: She certainly did.

KURIANSKY: That was another way for her to say, "Well, OK. You see, I`m attractive enough," and you try to make the guy jealous, "See what you lost?" I mean all of those are kind of healthy to do ...

ANDERSON: That`s right.

KURIANSKY: ... although resolving your own feelings is best.

ANDERSON: Yes, and I`m sure that those concerts and being around the music is a lot of fun and therapeutic in a way. Well, I do want to get to Linda Hogan, another celebrity currently going through an ugly divorce, this from her husband, Hulk Hogan. But that hasn`t stopped her from going out on the town with a 19-year-old boyfriend. Jill, very quickly -- 10 seconds -- anything wrong with this, or is that all right?

BROOKE: You know what the problem is? At firstwivesworld.com, we say, "Be smart." It`s really - it`s really important to have self-love and smarts. And clearly, this woman needs publicity like oxygen.

ANDERSON: OK. We will leave it there for now. Jill Brooke, Judy Kuriansky, thank you both.

A.J., you know, as Linda Hogan gets set to join the first wives` club, her daughter Brooke is speaking out for the first time about her parents` shocking split.

HAMMER: Yes. This is her very first TV interview talking about all of this -- her brother in jail and her family being a mess. Well, Brooke Hogan is doing a new reality show, and I`m thinking it`s not such a good idea and that she should just keep quiet. That`s coming up.

Also this --

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BROGDON: What people forget a lot of times with actors is that they spend a lot of time away from home, or they spend a lot of time within a set. It becomes it`s own little bubble universe.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Hot on-the-job hookups. I`ve got to know, why do so many stars who work together end up in the sack together? That showbiz special report is coming up.

ANDERSON: And A.J., you`ve got to see this. Your friendly neighborhood Spider Man not so friendly to the paparazzi. Tobey Maguire goes nuts, and we`ve got him caught on tape, straight ahead.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson and here are more stories that are new right now. Despite all the reports that Madonna and her husband, Guy Richie, are taking the fast lane to splitsville, Guy is throwing himself into his work. Tonight, I can tell you that Robert Downey, Jr. is this close to signing on to play Sherlock Holmes in an upcoming Warner Brothers movie about the pipe-smoking detective. Guy is directing. It`s supposed to hit theaters in 2009.

Well, tonight a lot of women are very upset. That`s because one of the hottest guys in Hollywood is officially off the market. Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman`s ex married his pregnant girlfriend, Ryan Shaw Hughes(ph), three weeks ago. Ryan was the nanny to Uma and Ethan`s two other children. "People" magazine said Ethan and his new wife are expecting a girl.

And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT was right there as CNN`s own Larry King got a rare honor. A square, not just a street, was named for him on Thursday. It`s at the intersection of Sunset and Coalinga Boulevard in Hollywood. I`m actually sitting in part of Larry King`s square right now. Larry`s already got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Congratulations, Larry.

HAMMER: Any truth to the rumor he`s going to set up a little suspender shop there on the Square? Did I hear that right?

ANDERSON: Possibly.

HAMMER: Congratulations, Larry.

ANDERSON: There would be a lot of suspender sales, I`m sure, around here. All right, moving on, A.J., Hulk Hogan`s daughter is speaking out for the very first time since all the shocking things that happened to her family, her parents getting divorced. But is this really a good idea? She`s doing publicity for her new reality show, which some say is a horrible idea. People are fired up about this, next.

HAMMER: Well, Brooke, you know, people are also really fired up over Jamie Lynn Spears. You know, she`s on the cover of a magazine with her beautiful new baby, but I got to tell you, I think it`s kind of glamorizing teen pregnancy. We`ve got a heated debate, and that is coming up.

Also this --

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BROGDON: They tried to say they didn`t really hook up on "Mr. and Mrs. Smith. And we`re like, "Yes, we believe that."

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes. And ever since then, we`ve been using the word Brangelina. Tonight, a revealing showbiz special report, why do so many other stars who work together end up in the sack together? It`s the hottest Hollywood hook ups, and it`s coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(NEWS BREAK)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: On SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, two big young stars speaking out like never before, but is that a good idea? Brooke Hogan opening up about her parents` divorce, her brother in jail and her new reality show.

And the Jamie Lynn Spears baby bombshell. Britney`s teen sister shows off her daughter to the world, but does appearing on a magazine cover glamorize teen pregnancy?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BROGDON: What people kind of forget a lot of times with these actors is that they spend a lot of time away from home and they spend a lot of time within a set. And it becomes like it`s own little bubble universe.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Hooking up on the job. Tonight, a showbiz special report, why do stars who work together often end up sleeping together?

(MUSIC)

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer, broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson, coming to you tonight from Hollywood. This is TV`s most provocative entertainment news show.

HAMMER: Well, tonight, two new big stories that are making news right now. We have just got to talk about them.

First up, Brooke Hogan`s bombshell interview. In her very first TV interview, Hulk Hogan`s daughter, opening up like never before about all her family drama and how it`s taken an awful toll on her. She`s out promoting her new reality show, "Brooke Knows Best." But tonight, we`re asking, isn`t is best for Brooke to stay out of reality TV for a while?

Also, making news right now, a Jamie Lynn Spears baby bombshell. Britney`s teen sister showing off her baby daughter to the world and saying life as a teenage mom is perfect. But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is asking the tough question, is Jamie Lynn glamorizing teen pregnancy?

Joining me tonight in New York, clinical psychologist Dr. Judy Kuriansky. In Hollywood tonight, it`s Nancy Redd, contributing editor for "Cosmo Girl" magazine. And in Hollywood as well, Laura Saltman, correspondent for "AccessHollywood.com."

All right, gang. Brooke Hogan out there doing publicity for the new reality show that she`s doing called, "Brooke Knows Best." When "Good Morning, America`s" Debra(ph) Roberts asked Brooke if reality TV is perhaps a little more than she bargained for at this stage in her life considering all the family drama, she`s been going through, well, I thought she said something very telling. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BROOKE HOGAN, HULK HOGAN`S DAUGHTER: There`s days that I will have my breakdowns and I`ll be in a little ball in the back of my closet. They`re like, "Come on, Brooke. The crew is here. You need to get rolling." And so it is hard at times. But, you know, I saw the camera crew again, and I was like, "All right, I have to let you back in. You`re so cute."

DEBRA(ph) ROBERTS, HOST, "GOOD MORNING, AMERICA": It`s what you do. And you`re only 20 years old.

HOGAN: Yes. And I feel like I`m 40, though.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes. No big surprise there. She sounds like she has the weight of the world on her shoulders for a pretty good reason. Think about it. Mom and dad getting divorced, her brother is in jail while his best friend remains in a semi-comatose state. Now, I have said this before. There is no way in my mind Brooke should be doing anything in the public eye, let alone a reality TV show at this time. Dr. Judy, set me straight if I`m wrong here. Am I way off base?

KURIANSKY: A.J., I`m going to give you an honorary psychology degree.

HAMMER: All right.

KURIANSKY: Yes. There you go. Because she needs a retreat and a break from this. This is the most tense time. It`s like the weight of her family is on her shoulders, too, after the trauma of her brother wanting a reality show, which is really now she`s acting it out. If she`s curled up in that ball, she needs to get some help and get into talking about some of this trauma and not be airing herself and not be forcing herself to be in front of the public now.

HAMMER: Yes. No kidding. Nancy, I now have my honorary psychology degree, courtesy of Dr. Judy Kuriansky. Do you concur with our diagnosis here?

NANCY REDD, CONTRIBUTING EDITOR, "COSMOGIRL!" MAGAZINE: Absolutely. But most importantly, she`s being exploited. She`s surrounded by people who don`t see her as a real person, who don`t see her needs, her wants, the fact that she`s curled up into a closet. They`re seeing her as a money- maker, and she needs to heal. She needs to get therapy and help. And she does not need to get another reality show.

HAMMER: Yes. That`s for sure. And as you pointed out, she`s just 20 years old. You know, she`s not the one making all these decisions. I can tell you that right now.

REDD: No. She`s a baby.

HAMMER: Yes. Brooke also talked about the obvious effects that her parents` divorce is having on her. Her mom, Linda, filed for divorce from Hulk Hogan, even filed a restraining order against him. And you`ve got to watch what Brooke had to say about dealing with her parents` problems. Roll that, Charles.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HOGAN: I`ve had my crying jags definitely. I`m naturally a happy person so I`m always lifting everybody else up, like, "Come on, you guys. We can make it through." But there`s times where I get tired of being the rock. It`s difficult.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes. No kidding. I`ve got a little bit of role reversal going on there with the Hogans here, the child taking care of the parents. I mean, come on. And throughout this whole ordeal, we all know there has been less than zero sympathy for the Hogan family. Laura, let`s look at a possible upside of this. Do you think a sad upside to Brooke being on TV, talking about it on GMA doing her reality show, may actually bring people back into the Hogan corner?

LAURA SALTMAN, CORRESPONDENT, "ACCESSHOLLYWOOD.COM": I don`t know about that, and I wanted to go back to another point about Brooke, that she is really young, but I think that she actually seeks the spotlight. She wanted to be on "Dancing With The Stars." She lobbied pretty hard to do that show. She sought this reality show out. So this is a girl who wanted the attention.

HAMMER: Oh, yes. But that doesn`t make it a good idea at all.

No, it`s not a good idea. I mean although sometimes talking about things can be pretty good therapy. It`s not a good idea. Do I think that it`s going to be more sympathy for that family, though? I don`t think so. Some of the things they`ve done have been pretty bad, and I don`t see anyone just because she`s on a reality show thinking, "Oh, this poor little family."

HAMMER: Any upside you see to this, Dr. Judy? Because I can`t get my head around any positive here.

KURIANSKY: Well, there`s no question from a psychological point of view that when you do talk about the feelings that you are experiencing and the trauma, it does let some of it out. But in this situation, I think it`s better for her to talk about it privately than publicly.

HAMMER: And to that, I would like to use the non-clinical term, amen.

SALTMAN: So I don`t get an honorary psychology degree then?

HAMMER: Laura, maybe on our next topic. Let`s try that. Moving onto another story making news right now -- Jamie Lynn Spears right there on the cover of "OK" magazine showing off her new baby Maddie Briann(ph). She gave an exclusive interview to the magazine, and in this interview, listen to what she said, quote, "Being a mom is the best feeling in the world."

All right. That indeed may be. Nancy Redd, I`m going to you for this one. I`m sitting here, of course, never having been a mom, and I`m thinking she`s 17 years old. The baby is not even a month old. Should we be worried that other teens are going to read her story and say, "Hey, I want the experience of that best feeling in the world, too"?

REDD: Absolutely. It`s this type of misinformation that can totally skew perceptions in a teen`s mind. And what`s interesting is this month, you`ll see in my article in "CosmoGirl!" a whole bunch of stories from teenagers who are pregnant, who are regular girls without nannies and trust funds. They have a different tale to tell. It`s hard. It`s stressful. They can`t even graduate high school, let alone college or have a normal teenage life. So the fact that she`s out there saying everything is just perfect and dandy is really threatening to the mindset of our teens.

HAMMER: Yes, I think everybody should read your article in "CosmoGirl.com", and I think Dr. Judy was smiling there.

KURIANSKY: Yes.

HAMMER: No. Dr. Judy, I don`t want to be naive. I do realize that teen moms have successfully raised kids throughout history. But come on, this is sending a bad message, isn`t it?

KURIANSKY: A terrible message. It`s very nice that Jamie Lynn is saying she`s having an OK time, but the statistics are horrific with kids who are 14 years old, having sex before they`re ready psychologically in any way, shape or form. And for Jamie Lynn at all to come out publicly and say that it is OK and that she`s coping very well, I think makes them have a total misunderstanding about this.

HAMMER: Well, let`s add to that. Let me read something else that Jamie Lynn told "OK" magazine, quote, "I had the perfect pregnancy and a perfect delivery. I was very blessed."

Now, clearly, I`m happy for her. I think everybody is happy about that. Laura, over to you on this one, a chance to win your degree back. Is this just not the ultimate spin control on a very controversial situation? I mean let us not forget that Jamie Lynn Spears has a multi- million dollar image to protect here?

SALTMAN: Absolutely. And I`m sure she got paid for these "OK" magazine photos as well. So she`s getting money from places, and most teen mothers don`t have money to take care of their babies. So while she`s saying like, "Oh, this is fun and I`m having such a great time," yes she`s probably having such a great time because she`s got the money to be able to deal with something like this whereas other girls don`t.

HAMMER: You know they`re talking about this. Let me get to this one clip. I really want to play this. They`re talking about this on "The View." Here`s what Sherri Shepherd had to say about the controversy.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SHERRI SHEPHERD, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": I want to applaud Jamie Lynn because she did not have an abortion. She chose to have this baby. What I would like to see, though, is also to the other side. Not just this, "Oh, this is so wonderful, the baby." Because I think a lot of young girls think it`s this little fantasy.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Nancy, only 10 seconds for you here, though. But do you think a couple of months down the road, it would be a great idea for Jamie Lynn to do a little reality report card to teenage girls and boys about all her sleepless nights and diaper changing and all the drama?

REDD: It would be fantastic if PR people would let her. Both she and Brooke are just PR puppets and they`re not living the life they need to live. Their babies, their breakdowns -- it`s all for sale.

HAMMER: Yes.

REDD: And it`s just really tragic.

HAMMER: And that is the real tragedy here, and hopefully the message is being sent to the adults who are trying to control the situation.

KURIANSKY: Congratulations. All around, more degrees.

HAMMER: Dr. Judy Kuriansky, Nancy Redd, Laura Saltman, I`ve got to end it there and thank you for my degree tonight. We`ve been asking you to vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day. "Jamie Lynn`s Baby Photos: Does appearing on a magazine cover glamorize teen pregnancy?" I want to know what you think. So vote at CNN.com/ShowbizTonight. E-mail showbiztonight@cnn.com.

ANDERSON: Hey, A.J. You know who knows all about raising kids? Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

HAMMER: Do you think? It`s almost hard to believe, Brooke. It all started when they met just three years ago when filming "Mr. and Mrs. Smith."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BROGDON: They tried to say they didn`t really hook up on "Mr.and Mrs. Smith," and we`re like, "Yes. We believe that."

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes. That`s what they told us, but tonight in a showbiz special report, we blow the lid off of some of Hollywood`s most famous on-set hookups.

ANDERSON: And we have brand-new video of Tobey Maguire going berserk on paparazzi in Hollywood. Just wait until you hear a not-so-friendly neighborhood Spider Man.

And Christy Brinkley is all smiles now after settling ugly custody battle. But that`s not stopping the ladies of "The View" from weighing in and they`re all fired up. That is straight ahead.

And remember, you can watch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT video anytime you want. We are always posting new stuff for you to watch. That`s at our Web site at CNN.com/ShowbizTonight. Among the videos playing right now, when is cheating bad? Is emotional cheating worst than sexual cheating?

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: From the time of silent movies like this one to present day, one thing has remained the same in Hollywood. Steamy hookups both on-screen and off-screen between Hollywood`s biggest stars.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Tonight, it`s a tradition as old as Hollywood itself, stars falling in lust on the set. When sparks fly on the big screen, it can often lead to fireworks behind the scenes and beyond. From Brangelina to Gyllenspoon, from Hollywood`s most sizzling couples met on set. But why is love on location so hard for celebrities to resist? It`s a showbiz special report, hot Hollywood hookups.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice over): Brad and Angie, Jennifer and Vince, Milo and Hayden, their explosive on-screen chemistry sparked real-life romances.

BROGDON: Their dressing rooms are honey wagons. I mean, it`s just like a gimme, like, "You want to go to my make-out hut? No, let`s go to my make- out hut."

HAMMER: Whether long-lasting or short-lived, countless couples have found love on location.

BROGDON: If the trailers are rocking, don`t come knocking.

HAMMER: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie both deny hooking up during filming, but SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you, their on-screen chemistry in "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" was undeniable.

BRAD PITT, ACTOR: Come to Daddy.

AMELIA PARRY, EDITOR, WWW.THEFRISKY.COM: Both of them maintained that nothing actually happened between them until they were well-done filming "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" and after Brad Pitt had already filed for divorce from Jennifer Aniston. But it`s definitely true whether you watch the film that there is some serious heat between the two of them.

ANGELINA JOLIE, ACTRESS: Who`s your daddy now?

MARC MALKIN, COLUMNIST, "E! ONLINE": It`s so obvious. It`s so real. You know, you feel like you`re watching like a dirty home video that they made.

JOLIE: Are you still alive, baby?

BROGDON: They tried to say that they didn`t really hook up on "Mr. and Mrs. Smith." And we`re like, "Yes, we believe that."

HAMMER: But for two celebrities known for canoodling with their co-stars, can Brad and Angie last?

PARRY: You know, I`ve got to wonder if Brad now ever gets a little bit worried when she has got to do a new movie.

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: Are we going to bond now?

JOLIE: Would you like to?

BROGDON: If your (UNINTELLIGIBLE) a hottie, then yes, you need to be extra worried, I mean, unless you`re married to a saint and who is?

JOLIE: I thought I told you not to bother me at the office, honey.

HAMMER: Brad`s ex, Jennifer Aniston, appeared to mend her broken heart on the set of her ironically titled film, "The Breakup." Her co-star was funny man Vince Vaughn.

JENNIFER ANISTON: Glad you find that amusing.

PARRY: She was going through a divorce with Brad at the time and she needed somebody to make her laugh. And you have Vince Vaughn there who`s hysterical.

MALKIN: I`m not surprised that Jennifer fell for Vince Vaughn. He`s the funny guy. Everyone falls for the funny guy.

VINCE VAUGHN, ACTOR: And you want to know what results were? A masterpiece.

BROGDON: They spend a lot of time away from home, and they spend a lot of time within a set. And it becomes like its own bubble universe. So, you know, there she is, Mr. Fun Guy is flirting with her. You know, why not?

HAMMER: Vaughniston may have sizzled on the set for a while, but soon after filming wrapped, so did the relationship.

VAUGHN: What we`re talking is really starting to drain me.

PARRY: It was interesting that she`s filming it as she`s going through this really horrible breakup. She hooks up with her co-star who then she breaks up with after the movie is done. So it`s sort of like her two breakups book ended the breakup.

HAMMER: Reese Witherspoon didn`t seem to waste much time after breakup with her ex-husband, Ryan Phillippe. Love was in the air not long after Reese co-starred with Jake Gyllenhaal in the film, "Rendition."

BROGDON: After -- you know, they can always find a way to flirt with each other and hook up even if they`re not actually in a scene.

REESE WITHERSPOON, ACTRESS: Let me talk to him.

BROGDON: Maybe it`s the craft services table. They`re like, "Are you going to want a cherry danish? You take it. Good scene.

PARRY: On a movie set you spend tons of time together. You build these kind of bonds really quickly. And I think that they seem to have a lot in common.

HAMMER: "Rendition" was a box office flop, but Gyllenspoon`s off-screen romance -- now, that is a completely different story.

WITHERSPOON: I try to look at the bright side of things. I`m really lucky. I`m very blessed.

BROGDON: It`s could the relationship survive the movie because they could have had a Ben Affleck-J. Lo "Gigli" kind of curse on it.

BEN AFFLECK, ACTOR: I don`t know what that means but it sounds beautiful.

JENNIFER LOPEZ, ACTRESS: It means you`re not my type.

HAMMER: Hayden Panettiere is definitely Milo Ventimiglia`s type. Hayden and Milo are co-stars on the NBC hit show, "Heroes." What`s the line? Save the cheerleader? Date the girl.

MILO VENTIMIGLIA, CO-STAR, "HEROES": Do you ever get the feeling like you were meant to do something extraordinary?

BROGDON: He`s like, "Oh, my god, an 18-year-old who plays a cheerleader." Why wouldn`t be he be psyched for that?

HAMMER: And for Hayden, the feeling was mutual.

PARRY: A lot of people are sort of buzzing that they had this insane onscreen chemistry and maybe they would hook up. And then when the show revealed that they were niece and uncle, I think it was sort of probably a little bit of a downer for the fans. They were kind of hoping for something between them.

HAMMER: Which makes for a somewhat awkward real-life romance, well, that and the fact he was 30 and Hayden just 18 when they started dating.

HAYDEN PANETTIERE, "HEROES" STAR: I`m not sure I know what you`re getting at.

MALKIN: You know Hayden`s friends were like, "That`s totally icky. You`re like hooking up with your uncle. Like he`s so totally old."

HAMMER: Whether it`s Hayden and Milo or Brad and Angie, talking about steamy on-set romances will never get old. Seems like in Hollywood, falling in lust on the back lot is just part of the job description.

Let`s face it, it`s Hollywood. You have bajillions(ph) of gorgeous people working together every day. I mean, I won`t be able to resist, frankly, if I was working with Brad Pitt. So I don`t blame them.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: You know, looks like Reese Witherspoon still can`t resist Jake Gyllenhaal, the couple still going strong after a year of dating, even reportedly moving in together.

ANDERSON: A.J., I don`t know if Tobey Maguire has ever had any steamy on- set hookups but the Spider Man star certainly lost his cool in Hollywood recently.

(SOUND OF HORNS BLARING)

Tobey went off on a swarm of paparazzi who just wouldn`t get out of the way while Tobey was trying to leave a restaurant. I think I feel his Spidey senses tingling. Take a look.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Let him go. You can`t see. You can`t block him in, guys. It`s against the law.

TOBEY MAGUIRE, ACTOR: Get out of the way. I can`t see! There are cars you (EXPLETIVE DELETED). Get out of the way!

ANDERSON: OK. Tobey normally a pretty level-headed guy. But that scene is enough to send anybody over the edge.

All right. Christie Brinkley`s nasty custody battle is over, but everybody is still buzzing about the ugly case of cheating, the Internet porn. And now, the ladies of "The View" are weighing in and they are not holding back. Wait until you hear what the ladies have to say have to say about Christie and their advice for Billy Joel. That`s next.

HAMMER: But first, it`s our weekly look at what`s new at the movies brought to you by YoPlait, YoPlus yogurt. YoPlus, try it for 10 days and feel the difference. In "Hell Boy II: The Golden Army," the cigar chomping comic book hero Hell Boy is back and badder than ever as he and his team try to save the world.

And in "Meet Dave," Eddie Murphy plays a human spaceship that crashes into New York City, just loaded down with aliens trying to save their planet.

And "Journey to the Center of the Earth" is a 3D version of the classic tale starring Brendan Fraser as a geologist who discovers a whole new world at the planet`s core. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is coming back in a moment.

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. Tonight, Christie Brinkley`s divorce settlement is sparking debate from coast to coast. The former supermodel and her ex, Peter Cook have been locked in a bitter divorce and custody battle. This was an ugly fight that included cheating, porn, and even abuse allegations. Now that the dust has settled, Brinkley wanted sole custody of her kids and Cook got $2 million and visitation rights.

Even with the settlement, the damage though may have already been done. Cook admitted to having an affair with his then 18-year-old assistant. He admitted to spending thousands on porn and he was also accused of being too rough with his and Brinkley`s children. The whole sordid story had the ladies of "The View" even more fired up than usual. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WHOOPI GOLDBERG, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": There was a lot of stuff said. You know, Christie`s daughter with Billy Joel, Alexa, testified that Cook constantly berated her. Once, she said he yanked her out of the shower and told her to clean up the mess she had made.

JOY BEHAR, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": Yes, she was taking a shower. She had a towel on her head and there was a leak. She said this --

GOLDBERG: Yes.

BEHAR: And then he dragged her out of there and told her and, allegedly, he dunked her head into the water, into the basin where there was water.

GOLDBERG: What year was that?

BEHAR: That was in 2003. Diana Bianchi thing, the girlfriend on the side started in 2006, I believe. So she had three years of a window there, Christie, to check it out. You know, number one, priority is your kid. Where is Billy Joel? He must be furious. He will write songs about this one. You know, I have to say in her defense, she is one of the people who worries about nuclear reactors on Long Island and gas masks that she was giving out to people in case of a terrorist attack. And she is very concerned and upset about the environment. So she is not an airhead and she is not stupid. Just because she is a model, people think, you know, she is an airhead and she`s not. But you know, when it comes to men, she`s an airhead.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Just goes to show that even though it is settled, this Brinkley case will have people talking for a long time to come.

Coming up Friday on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, who are the biggest winners and losers in the case? You`ve got Brinkley herself and her ex, Peter Cook and their kids, his former mistress and the list goes on and on. Do any of these people walk away unscathed or is the damage too far gone? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT investigates on Friday.

HAMMER: Got to tell you. Just glad for the kids. It`s basically done.

ANDERSON: Yes. Me, too.

HAMMER: Just happy about that. And that is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

ANDERSON: I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. Remember, you can always catch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on the 11:00s -- 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific and in the morning, 11:00 a.m. Eastern. The latest from "CNN HEADLINE NEWS" is next.
