Hello. I`m Jane Velez-Mitchell, in for A.J. Hammer who has the night off.
Tonight, Sarah Palin`s Hollywood shocker. Well, you can`t say Sarah Palin didn`t go out swinging. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the great Sarah Palin mystery, her startling attack on what she called skinny starlets on her last day as governor of Alaska. What is the deal with that? Who exactly was Palin going after? Which skinny Hollywood starlet?
And in the very same breath, Palin defended the right to hunt. It`s the brand-new Sarah Palin head-spinner. And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you it is making big news right now.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
PALIN: God bless Alaska and God bless America.
(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)
VELEZ-MITCHELL (voice-over): With those words, self-described hockey mom, Sarah Palin, officially skated off into the sunset as she gave her last speech as Alaska`s governor.
PALIN: Stiffen your spine to do what is right for Alaska when the pressure mounts.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: But Palin left everybody shocked with her parting shot at one of her favorite old targets - Hollywood.
PALIN: You`re going to see anti-hunting, anti-Second Amendment circuses from Hollywood. They use these delicate, tiny, very talented celebrity starlets. They use Alaska as a fundraising tool for their anti-Second Amendment causes.
Stand strong and remind them, patriots will protect our individual guaranteed right to bear arms. By the way, Hollywood needs to know we eat, therefore, we hunt.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: It`s Sarah Palin`s call to arms as she warns that a Hollywood army of tiny starlets is coming for your guns.
CONOR KNIGHTON, HOST, "INFOMANIA": The connection between anorexia and gun control seems like one that she is making.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Palin`s comments floored The View`s Whoopi Goldberg literally.
PALIN: Hollywood needs to know, we eat therefore we hunt.
WHOOPI GOLDBERG, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": What is she talking about?
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Whoopi is not alone. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you Palin`s comments about Hollywood, starlets and guns, have the entire country asking - what or who was Sarah Palin talking about?
Well, we know the one starlet Palin had the biggest problem with was probably Tina Fey who just scored an Emmy nomination for mocking Palin in those famous "Saturday Night Live" skits.
TINA FEY, ACTRESS (as Sarah Palin): On that case, I am just going to have to get back to you.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: But it`s not like Fey ever took on Palin on the issue of gun control, not in any serious way at least.
Now, that we can eliminate Fey as the target of Palin`s starlet- bashing -
PALIN: Delicate, tiny, very talented celebrity starlets. They use Alaska as a fundraising tool for their anti-Second Amendment causes.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Who could Palin have been talking about? Well, we have a pretty good guess.
KNIGHTON: I guess it is possible she is referencing Ashley Judd.
ASHLEY JUDD, ACTRESS: It is time to stop Sarah Palin.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Earlier this year, Judd teamed up with an animal rights group to put out an Internet video that slammed Palin for Alaska`s practice of allowing people to hunt wolves from airplanes.
JUDD: Palin is again casting aside science and championing the slaughter of wildlife.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: That was back in February. And as Palin leaves the stage, it appears she is neither forgiven nor forgotten.
KNIGHTON: Really, in the scheme of things, a sort of strange bit to throw into your farewell speech.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: And Palin didn`t just settle the score with Judd.
PALIN: Our new governor has a very nice family, too. So leave his kids alone.
(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Palin may have been thinking about David Letterman who ignited a major controversy last month for his joke about Palin`s daughter.
KNIGHTON: She used the speech to attack every villain out there - Hollywood, the starlets, the media, that little packaging that is hard to open with electronics. Everything that is bad in the world, Sarah Palin put into 16 minutes.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: So Sarah Palin may no longer be Alaska`s governor, but it seems she hasn`t lost her ability to both stir up controversy and mix it up with Hollywood.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT reached out to Sarah Palin`s representatives to see if the ex-governor really was singling out any particular starlets in her speech. They did not get back to us before show time.
But don`t worry we have a panel standing by who has plenty more to say about Sarah Palin`s unique farewell. Coming up, Sarah`s star shocker, the great debate, a little bit later on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
And tonight, there are brand-new developments in the fight for custody of Michael Jackson`s kids. The big news comes from somebody who should know, the attorney representing Michael Jackson`s mom, Katherine.
In a brand-new interview this morning on the "Today" show, making headlines around the world, Katherine Jackson`s attorney set the record straight about whether Debbie Rowe is fighting for the two kids she had with Michael.
But what did the attorney have to say about all those reports that Michael`s sister, Janet Jackson, could wind up getting custody of all three of Jackson`s children.
Joining me tonight in Hollywood, Kim Serafin. She is the senior editor for "In Touch Weekly." And in New York, Jean Casarez who is a legal correspondent for "In Session." Great, as always, to see you both.
Now, Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe had two children together. We all know that, 12-year-old Prince Michael and 11-year-old Paris. Katherine Jackson`s attorney finally speaking out. Londell McMillan revealed for the very first time this morning on the "Today" show that a custody agreement between Debbie Rowe and Katherine Jackson is quote, "close." Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
LONDELL MCMILLAN, ATTORNEY FOR KATHERINE JACKSON: The agreement is a custody agreement. This, whatever the agreement will be, will not be based on money. That was not the -
MATT LAUER, CO-HOST, THE "TODAY" SHOW: But will it involve money?
MCMILLAN: The agreement about custody is not a money issue. Michael and Ms. Debbie Rowe had their agreement prior to his passing. That is not on the table. That`s not what we are dealing with.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Oh, really? Kim, Katherine Jackson`s attorney made it very clear that this agreement is not about money. Do you buy that? And if so, what do you think it is about, perhaps visitation rights?
KIM SERAFIN, SENIOR EDITOR, "IN TOUCH WEEKLY": It could be. You know, one thing that we are seeing in this is that every time there is a rumor that this is about money, there was that rumor that Debbie Rowe $4 million, and her lawyers came out swinging against that.
I mean, they`ve really pushed back against all these rumors that Debbie just wanted more money. I mean, maybe this might be the one thing in this whole Michael Jackson saga that actually really does takes the kids into consideration, that everyone is really caring about the kids.
And maybe she does want visitation rights. It really does seem like they`re working together. They postponed this hearing, twice already. It seems like they really are putting the kids first and I think that`s really important.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, let`s hope, from your mouth to God`s ear as the old saying goes. As Katherine Jackson`s lawyer mentioned, Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe had an agreement in which Rowe gave up her custody rights over Prince Michael and Paris years ago.
So Jean Casarez, why does Katherine Jackson even have to make any kind of deal with Debbie Rowe over custody of the kids?
JEAN CASAREZ, LEGAL ANALYST, "IN SESSION": We are in a different place, at a different time. Michael Jackson is now deceased. So now, Debbie Rowe, being the parent on the birth certificate, the legal parent, can make a claim again.
But this could be all semantics, Jane. Because a custody agreement, physical custody, joint custody, legal custody - that`s true, that doesn`t equate into money. But I don`t think that means the agreement in total has anything to do with money. I think it could have something to do with money.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Yes, I think so too. Money - follow the money as we say. We certainly all remember this touching moment - Michael Jackson`s daughter, Paris, crying on Janet`s shoulder after her emotional tribute to her dad at Jackson`s memorial service.
Ever since then, a whole lot of people have been wondering if Janet should raise Michael`s three kids. On the "Today" show this morning, Matt Lauer asked if that was a real possibility. And take a look at what Katherine Jackson`s attorney had to say about that.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
LAUER: Have the kids expressed any wish or desire to live with Janet Jackson?
MCMILLAN: I don`t have any information concerning that.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
VELEZ-MITCHELL: So that was neither a yes nor a no. Taking into consideration that Katherine Jackson is 79 years old, Kim, do you think as part of this upcoming custody agreement Janet could possibly be named as some kind of backup guardian?
SERAFIN: That definitely could be a possibility. There have been many reports that Michael wanted Janet involved in raising the kids. I know, "In Touch" was reporting that; several places also reporting that. Maybe Rebbie should be involved.
So they are definitely thinking that the extended Jackson family probably should be included. And I think when you watch that memorial service, you see that. You see the relationship that the kids have with that extended family, with the kids of the brothers and sisters of Michael.
So I think that would be a fantastic thing. And hopefully, that is one of the things that they are working out.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: OK. And we have a big custody hearing set for Monday, August 3rd. Katherine Jackson`s lawyers said that the custody agreement between Jackson and Rowe will be settled before then. Jean, what can we expect at this big custody hearing?
CASAREZ: Well, a lot of it may be in camera, which is beyond the public view of the courtroom. But the thing that shocks me, Jane, there is not an agreement yet. You realize that? How many weeks have we had? What are the issues? There are issues that they are not agreeing on. There have to be -
VELEZ-MITCHELL: We will have to see at that big hearing. Thank you both so much for your fabulous insights. Well, if you thought Michael Jackson`s Neverland Ranch was something else, just wait until you see his Las Vegas Neverland that never quite was.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: This 10-acre, walled estate was to be Michael Jackson`s Vegas wonderland.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with an exclusive look at the home Michael Jackson wanted but couldn`t afford. This thing has even got secret tunnels, believe it or not.
Hey, if Jon Gosselin keeps dating all these women, he will need another house. Tonight, Jon Gosselin`s brand-new, head-spinning revelations about his wild love life. Is he really in love with a 22-year- old? Or is it this new Kate a tabloid reporter who quit her job over him?
And the Erin Andrews peephole outrage. Tonight, why some men who had absolutely nothing to do with the disgusting naked videotaping of this ESPN reporter are blaming themselves for what happened. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.
And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news right now.
(CAPTION READS: Octumom Nadya Suleman signs deal to do reality show, 14 kids will earn $250 per day. Rihanna is back in the studio working on a new CD.)
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Jane Velez-Mitchell. A.J. Hammer has the night off. Did you see this? Those wacky Filipino inmates are at it again. These performing prisoners who already wowed the world with their recreation of Michael Jackson`s thriller are out with a new video, M.J.`s "Dangerous." Watch this.
(MUSIC PLAYING)
VELEZ-MITCHELL: That is pretty amazing. Good work there. But I do have to point out, 70 percent of this prison`s inmates were convicted of serious crimes like murder, rape and drug trafficking. So, yes, these guys are dangerous.
Tonight, peephole outrage. ESPN reporter, Erin Andrews was secretly videotaped naked in her hotel room. And then, the video posted online. The outrage has reached a fever pitch. And now, people are asking, who is to blame?
Here is CNN`s Carol Costello for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
ERIN ANDREWS, ESPN REPORTER: All right. Guys, thank you so much -
CAROL COSTELLO, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): If you didn`t know who Erin Andrews was, you do now. It seems everybody is talking about an uninvited videotaping of the ESPN reporter.
GOLDBERG: Erin Andrews - she was the reporter that was secretly taped by a peeping tom in her hotel room.
NANCY GRACE, HOST, "NANCY GRACE": No idea there was a perv at the door.
GOLDBERG: And the nude video ended up on the Internet.
COSTELLO: Andrews` attorney is threatening legal action if anyone continues to post the videos online. But a French Web site persists. Andrews, it seems, has lost control over who has the rights to her body.
And while her attorney wants whoever took the pictures to be criminally prosecuted, others say many more are guilty. Just saying, who is to blame?
JESSICA VALENTI, "FEMINISTING.COM": I do think that we are all complicit in a culture that objectifies women, that is interested in seeing titillating videos of women who don`t know they`re being filmed.
COSTELLO: And if you think people aren`t interested in that kind of thing, Google says searches on Erin Andrews have gone up 5,000 percent in the past few days.
The blog site, "Sports Media Watch" isn`t surprised. It says, for years, there has been a national stalking of Andrews online by those who turned her into a body that exists for leering at.
An inadvertent ESPN shot of Andrews behind got 500,000 hits on YouTube. And while ESPN calls Andrews one of the premiere sports reporters in the business, some charge it stoked the fire, too, by playing up Andrew`s looks. And some of those she interviewed - well, they didn`t help either.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: They create them like this, right?
ANDREWS: All right.
COSTELLO: And then, there was this at a college football game. Through it all, by many accounts, Andrews dealt good naturedly with those who objectified her. And some say while Andrews is definitely the victim here, it`s time she pushed back.
CHRISTINE BRENNAN, "USA Today": Play to the 12-year-old girl and her mom and dad on the couch. Don`t play to the frat house. Do everything you can to make sure that those wackos do not interfere in my life.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
VELEZ-MITCHELL: And that was CNN`s Carol Costello for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Our "Showbiz on Call" phone lines are flooded. People are really fired-up over who should get Michael Jackson`s kids.
We got a call in to "Showbiz on Call" from Kate in Nevada. She thinks the Jackson family should step it up.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
KATE, CALLER FROM NEVADA: I think with Michael Jackson`s children, anyone who needs money should not be allowed to raise them. You can`t tell me the Jackson family does not have enough money to raise the children without Michael`s money.
And they should be doing it out of the goodness of their hearts and love, because that`s what we, normal people do. We take in children. We raise them out of love. And we don`t expect anyone to hand us money for doing it. Certainly, and the Jacksons - they have money.
(END AUDIO CLIP)
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Love that call. Thank you, Kate. We also heard from Shaila calling into "Showbiz on Call" from Michigan. She also thinks the Jackson family should take Michael`s three kids.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
SHAILA, CALLER FROM MICHIGAN: I think the kids should go to Michael Jackson`s mother or with Janet Jackson, somebody they`re close to, because their mother wasn`t in their life. So why should she try to be in their life now that he is dead and there is a lot of money going for whoever gets the kids?
(END AUDIO CLIP)
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Thanks, Shaila. Call us at "Showbiz on Call" and let us know what you think about this or anything else that`s on your mind. The "Showbiz on Call" phone lines are always open for you. Give us a holler at 1-888-SBT-BUZZ; that`s 1-888-728-2899. Leave us a voicemail and we will play some of your calls right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
And your calls to "Showbiz on Call" are also now online on our homepage, CNN.com/ShowbizTonight.

(END VIDEO CLIP)
VELEZ-MITCHELL: It`s a brand-new Palin Hollywood shocker. She is on the attack against skinny starlets. But who is she talking about - Britney, Paris, Lindsay? Tonight, I`m investigating Sarah Palin`s mysterious Hollywood rant.
Also, a brand-new Michael Jackson exclusive. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT takes you inside the Las Vegas Neverland. You have got to see this place, the home that Michael wanted, but simply couldn`t afford. It`s even got secret tunnels. And every time I watch this video, it brings a huge grin to my face.

Tonight Whitney Houston speaking out about her big comeback. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT was right there at the listening party for Whitney`s brand new album, "I Look to You." It`s her first album of new material in seven years.
Whitney certainly has had her ups and downs, the drug use, the rocky relationship with Bobby Brown. But she tells us she is not that nervous about being back in the spotlight.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
WHITNEY HOUSTON, SINGER: A come back for me - I have been here. I have just been here. I just took a break, you know, some times you have to. You have to know when to slow the train down and kind of just sit back and just relax for a minute. You know what I am saying? And kind of have a life, you know.
And I hadn`t really had like a life. I was - when I got married, I was, "The Bodyguard." And I was pregnant and had a baby. And "The Bodyguard" - "I Will Always Love You" was its peak. And everything was running so fast.
So after "The Preacher`s Wife," I just stopped the train for a minute. I just stopped it. I had to slow it down because I had a baby. And I want to watch my child grow.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
VELEZ-MITCHELL: "I Look to You" is out September 1st. And breaking news tonight - Ben Silverman is out as co-chairman of NBC Entertainment. Silverman had been in the job for two years. Now, he`s had some success, but he wasn`t able to get NBC out of fourth place.
"CNNMoney.com" reporter, Poppy Harlow got the last interview with Silverman on Wednesday. At that time, Silverman didn`t seem too concerned about his job. He seemed rather confident that Joe Leno`s upcoming 10:00 p.m. show would pull NBC out of its slump.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
POPPY HARLOW, "CNNMONEY.COM" REPORTER: Are you nervous? Are you constantly worried? I mean, there are people that say, you know, "Will he stay with NBC?" I mean, are you nervous about keeping that top post and making the right decision and getting that hit?
BEN SILVERMAN, FORMER CO-CHAIRMAN, NBC ENTERTAINMENT: I think Jay is a real counterpunch to technology because it`s topical, day and date. He is a counter programmer. And he`ll be the only comedy choice on at 10:00 p.m. And he`s also a superlative personality and a singular talent that we all just believe in so much. And so there is real excitement around that.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
VELEZ-MITCHELL: For more of Poppy Harlow`s interview with NBC`s Ben Silverman, head to "CNNMoney.com."

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It`s 30 minutes past the hour. I`m Jane Velez-Mitchell in New York. A.J. Hammer has the night off.
Tonight, brand-new and wild developments in Jon Gosselin`s wacky, and I mean wacky love life. Jon already had his hands full with his wife, Kate plus eight.
Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has breaking news about another twist in the Jon-minus-Kate love drama. Is Jon seeing two women at the same time? What a Hollywood drama. And speaking of unbelievable Hollywood dramas -
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
PALIN: They use delicate, tiny, very talented celebrity starlets. They use Alaska as a fundraising tool for their anti-Second Amendment causes.
By the way, Hollywood needs to know we eat, therefore, we hunt.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Yes, that is Sarah Palin slamming skinny, Hollywood starlets on her last day as governor of Alaska. But why, Sarah, why? Tonight, the great debate - was Sarah right on or out of line?
In Hollywood tonight, Kim Serafin - she is senior editor for "In Touch Weekly." And here in New York is Jean Casarez who is a legal correspondent for "In Session."
All right. Ladies, let`s start with Jon Gosselin. So take out your number two pencils and pads and follow along the SHOWBIZ news line.
Last Wednesday, Jon`s 22-year-old girlfriend, Hailey Glassman, professes her love for him in a brand-new interview with "People." That same night, Wednesday, Jon goes to the Hamptons with former "Star" magazine reporter, Kate Major. Thursday, Kate quits her reporter job saying she has fallen for Jon.
And now, get this, today Jon tells "People" he is not seeing anyone. He is flying solo. Jean, I dare you to make sense of this.
CASAREZ: It is too many Kate names. I can`t keep track of all. I`ve got to give a legal slant here, because when you look at what is in the best interest of the children, if you see one of the parents going from woman to woman to woman, is that in the best interest of the child to have joint custody, physical custody, legal custody. It could be an issue in court.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Yes. And it should be an issue in court as far as I`m concerned. You`ve got to hear what Jon told "People.com" this weekend while still in the Hamptons about his relationship with Hailey, quote, "She loves me for who I am and not for what I do. We are going to chill out for a while and see where it takes us. At this point, I`m single," end quote.
I can`t even believe he said this. Hailey`s I love Jon "People" magazine interview has just hit the newsstands. And Jon says, "She may love me, but I am single."
Kim Serafin, do you get the idea that Jon thinks he is some sort of like, very suave, Hollywood playboy now juggling women and hobnobbing in the Hamptons?
SERAFIN: Yes. And she`s obviously not trying to stay private. Because when you go out to the Hamptons in the summer and dine with Lindsay Lohan`s dad, you`re probably going to get a little attention, you know.
Yes, I don`t know, but you, guys, Jean, Jane, but I am afraid to come into contact with Jon because I might be sucked in by his obvious charms, I guess. Who knows?
VELEZ-MITCHELL: You might fall head over heels and you`ll fall madly in love and quit your job.
SERAFIN: I`m thinking of getting one of those "I`m dating Jon" t-shirts that are apparently very popular just in case.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Oh, I love it. Yes, I`ve got to get one of those - maybe not. Well, it seems like SHOWBIZ TONIGHT viewers might be totally on team Jon. We asked in our question of the day - "Jon and Kate: Has the split been better for Jon than Kate?" Get this, 77 percent said definitely Jon. Only 23 percent said Kate.
Now, Jean, I don`t think that is a big surprise, given that Kate is schlepping their eight kids around Pennsylvania while Jon is partying, dating, maybe even, as they say, getting lucky.
CASAREZ: Right. Who did they poll? Who did they question? And when you look at the video, of course, it is more exciting. You see the lifestyle of the rich and famous, it looks like.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Totally. It`s quite bizarre, the whole thing. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook fans are totally fired up about the Jon plus Hailey plus Kate drama. But many like Brandi B. are actually worried about Jon`s eight kids as Jean Casarez mentioned.
Brandi writes, "It`s a shame that Jon puts himself before his kids like this. Doesn`t he know how he is hurting them?" Now, Brandi has got a great question.
Kim, do you think Jon`s red hot and highly publicized single life is really, talking seriously for a moment, hurting these young children?
SERAFIN: You know, obviously, one day, they`re going to look at this. But I guess you could take like the cynical view and say, "Look, it`s interesting that all of this is happening a week before their show premieres again on August 3rd. So it will get good ratings. So I guess it will eventually help the kids in terms of getting them more money.
But in terms of their emotional state, sure - I mean, they`re only five. But the other - the twins are a little bit older. They probably see a lot of this going on. So you could also say this happens in any divorce, you know.
In any divorce, kids are going to see their parents with other people. They`re going to hear their parents fighting. So, you know, whether it`s magnified a little bit more by TV, probably. But in any divorce, it`s bad for the kids.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: But in this case, they`re going to all grow up and read about all this nonsense. And that`s part of what`s sad.
Let`s move on now to the great Sarah Palin debate over Sarah Palin`s brand-new Hollywood smackdown. Palin spent her last day as governor of Alaska on Sunday, slamming Hollywood for taking aim at her. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
PALIN: Stiffen your spine to do what is right for Alaska when the pressure mounts because you are going to se anti-hunting, anti-Second Amendment circuses from Hollywood.
And here`s how they do it. They use these delicate, tiny, very talented celebrity starlets. They use Alaska as a fundraising tool for their anti-Second Amendment causes.
By the way, Hollywood needs to know we eat, therefore, we hunt.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
VELEZ-MITCHELL: What? OK, Jean, was Sarah Palin right on, or did she shoot herself in the foot? No pun intended. Well, you know what, actually, pun intended.
CASAREZ: All right. Well, there were a lot of different facets to what she said. First of all, I do think in Hollywood there are people that are pro-Second Amendment, that are also pro the right-to-bear-arms and probably raised in a hunting family. But they`re quiet people. And I think of Ted Nugent. I think of Charlton Heston.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Charlton Heston wasn`t that quiet, honey.
CASAREZ: No, he wasn`t. He was president of the NRA. And Ted Nugent isn`t quiet either. But I think there are more like that that are quiet. But vocally speaking, Hollywood appears to be. And I think the majority are on the other side of the fence there.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: All right. Kim, weigh in on this one.
SERAFIN: Well, you know, look. Obviously, I think every time you play that clip, probably PETA and the Humane Society get another donation. So it probably does help people on the other side.
But the fact is anyone that goes up against Sarah Palin, it seems to help them. I think a lot of people underestimate her. You know, with the David Letterman controversy, a lot of people would not take on David Letterman. But yet, at the end of the day, she got David Letterman to apologize to her twice.
She had unlikely allies like National Organization for Women and Joy Behar on her side. So I think time will tell what happens. But I think there are definitely a lot of people who side with her. When she says that the media was out to get her, a lot of people do not trust the media in this country. And every time she says that, they like Sarah Palin even more.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: But we are trying to guess exactly who is she attacking. Everybody is kind of theorizing maybe Sarah was attacking the beautiful Ashley Judd who taped a video lashing out at Palin`s controversial helicopter wolf hunting.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JUDD: When Sarah Palin came on the national scene last summer, few knew she promotes the brutal aerial killing of wolves. Now, back in Alaska, Palin is again casting aside science, and championing the slaughter of wildlife. It is time to Sarah Palin and stop this senseless savagery.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
VELEZ-MITCHELL: I personally very much agree with Ashley. I`m an animal lover. But she is hardly a starlet. She is an animal advocate. She`s a great actress. Jean, we`ve only got a few seconds. Try to make some sense out of all of this.
CASAREZ: I want to hear exactly what Sarah Palin means by this, because there have been so many personal attacks against Sarah Palin. Let`s not play games. What exactly are you referring to so we can look at the issues here?
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Yes, I would look to see more specificity. But it was a kind of mysterious farewell, but I`m sure not forever. We`re going to see more of Sarah Palin. Kim Serafin, Jean Casarez, thank you as always.

Tonight, a Michael Jackson exclusive - what stays in Vegas. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT taking you inside the incredible, spectacular Las Vegas estate where Jackson`s realtor said Michael wanted to build a whole new life. There was just one teeny, tiny little problem. Michael Jackson couldn`t afford it.
Here is CNN`s Drew Griffin for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with this Michael Jackson exclusive.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
DREW GRIFFIN, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): It`s the home Michael Jackson wanted but, at the time, even he couldn`t afford. According to his Las Vegas realtor, Zar Zanganeh, this 10-acre walled estate was to be Michael Jackson`s Vegas Wonderland.
ZAR ZANGANEH, MICHAEL JACKSON`S LAS VEGAS REALTOR: This is the only house I showed Michael out of probably 10 or a dozen where he came outside and he came outside with no umbrella, no mask on. Just came right out here with the kids to see the ground of the property.
Through this cave here, we have an apartment. It`s about 1,000 square feet and the kids wanted to make it into their playroom and Michael loved the idea.
GRIFFIN: Instead, Zanganeh placed Jackson and his family in this lease home. It was not up to par says Zanganeh. But Jackson was building a life in Las Vegas and also trying to build back his wealth entertaining casino owners who were offering Jackson deal after deal to make him stay.
ZANGANEH: I know that Michael really liked the idea of being able to perform in one location night after night. He had met with Celine Dion after seeing her show one night on the strip and talked to her about that and talked about pros and the cons and loved the fact that people would come to him instead of him having to travel town to town.
He loved the fact that the kids could actually have a place to call home and not move around with him since they`re always going everywhere with him. But was an idea that very much appealed to him. There are a couple secret tunnels through here.
GRIFFIN: The estate is filled with quirky appeals, secret tunnels, leading to a gun range Jackson wanted to turn into a music studio, barber chair in the master bath, a full gym, theater room and a 20-car garage where he and his family could load into and out of cars out of view.
(on camera): Do you know what he was most interested in when he`d come into a house like this?
ZANGANEH: Michael`s biggest concern, in my opinion, was always the safety of his children. There are eight foot walls around the property.
There are only two gates in and out of the home. And there are no HOAs or associations to tell you what to do so you can raise your wall. You can put barbed wire on the walls. You can have cameras installed all around the property in addition to what is already here.
ZANGANEH: At the time, just back from his self exile in Bahrain and Ireland, Jackson simply couldn`t afford the $22 million to $25 million price tag. Zanganeh says he believes the concert tour would have been Michael Jackson`s pathway back to this house, a permanent show in Las Vegas and a new retreat he would have called Wonderland.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
VELEZ-MITCHELL: That was CNN`s Drew Griffin for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. And according to the realtor, Jackson was also very particular about his neighbors. He wanted to make sure they were up to his standards.
The Wonderland home, owned by the Prynne(ph) family of Las Vegas fit that bill. It is surrounded by Vegas royalty like Wayne Newton and real royalty like Prince Jeffrey of the royal family of Brunei who lives right next door.
Now, did you see this? This is the wedding march boogie making an absolute splash on YouTube. More than 8 million people cannot get enough of this adorable Minnesota couple, Jill and Kevin Heinz, breaking it down the aisle. You have got to watch this.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I love it. If you are wondering, the couple said a lot of the dance was free form and that the group only rehearsed for an hour and a half before the wedding. So could they do it again?
The entire group came on the weekend "Today" show and re-created the whole thing. Watch.
(MUSIC PLAYING)
I love all those people. Both Jill and Kevin said they actually uploaded the video for their friends and family to see. But it looks like now it is going down in YouTube history. I think the YouTube dance, the wedding dance is totally adorable.
But the former Miss California Carrie Prejean singing, not so much. You remember Carrie, the beauty queen who spoke out against gay marriage. Well, you`ve got to see what she`s singing about now. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.
And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news right this very second.
(CAPTION READS: Jennifer Lopez denies reports that she may replace Paula Abdul on "Idol." HBO leads 15 networks for representation of gay characters on TV.)
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Jane Velez-Mitchell. A.J. Hammer has the night off. Tonight, hold your ears for the fallout after former Miss California Carrie Prejean - remember her - tries to sing.
OK, maybe not so much fallout, but you might want to remove any glass you have out of the way for this one. The beauty queen, the anti-gay marriage lightning rod, was invited to sing Bing Crosby`s "Where the Turf Meets the Surf" on opening day at the Del Mar Race Track in San Diego. But was it a good idea to give Prejean the mike? Judge for yourself.
(MUSIC PLAYING)
(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Oh. What can I say, nice hat? I warned you. Well, perhaps I shouldn`t be so hard on Prejean. Maybe she was just practicing opposite singing.
Tonight, Tori Spelling`s mom is on the attack again. In a brand-new bizarre open letter to her daughter, Tori, posted on TMZ, Candy Spelling launches into a tirade about why she`s not attending her granddaughter`s first birthday party. Candy says it`s because she wants no part of Tori`s reality show.
Candy writes, "At the time, I E-mailed `yes,` I didn`t realize I was being set up for a two-parter, even though it was clear I was being invited to be part of a segment for my daughter`s reality show. For all the reality show personalities, please remember that real life doesn`t get edited to make things better or worse or to get better ratings. You`re responsible for what you do. Life isn`t just a show," end quote. You know what? Life isn`t a show unless you`re a Spelling.
We`ve been asking you to vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day - "Jon and Kate: Has the split been better for Jon than Kate?" 77 percent of you say yes. 23 percent of you say no. Here are some of the E- mails we got.
Clarissa from Puerto Rico writes, "Jon is missing out on his family. There is nothing better to enjoy your kids with the one you love. He is a schmuck!"
