Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer, broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.

BROOKE ANDERSON, CO-HOST: Hi there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson coming to you tonight from Hollywood.

And tonight, are we on the verge of seeing the impossible come true? Could Jon and Kate really be getting back together again? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has been digging all day today. And we have come up with startling clues that could indicate we might see the reunion of the century.

For the first time since Jon and Kate announced their divorce, Kate has just revealed her love for Jon has not disappeared. And this new revelation comes the day after Jon revealed that he is asking Kate to forgive him for being such a jerk.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you these fast-moving and at one time unthinkable developments made for big news breaking today.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over): Since they announced their split, it seemed like Jon and Kate Gosselin have been starring in their own new reality show, ""Jon & Kate Plus Hate."

KATRINA SZISH, ENTERTAINMENT JOURNALIST: It has gotten mean. It has gotten nasty. It has gotten down and dirty. And it was hard to imagine that this pair could have ever been in love.

ANDERSON: What a difference four months makes, because now, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you we are seeing something different from Jon and Kate. They are actually making nice.

NATALIE MORALES, CO-HOST, "TODAY" SHOW: Do you still love Jon?

K. GOSSELIN: A part of me always will.

ANDERSON: On a TLC special last night, Kate acknowledged that she will always love Jon.

K. GOSSELIN: I was very hard on him, and I would never deny that.

ANDERSON: And she acknowledged something that fans of their show, "Jon & Kate Plus 8" noticed years ago.

K. GOSSELIN: I`m sorry. Could you stop breathing so hard?

ANDERSON: That maybe she wasn`t always that nice to him.

K. GOSSELIN: I was wrong to treat him that way.

SZISH: I don`t think we`ve ever really seen her admit that she perhaps herself had done anything wrong.

K. GOSSELIN: And what about Jon?

JON GOSSELIN, REALITY TV STAR, "JON & KATE PLUS 8": I do apologize to Kate.

ANDERSON: At a public event, Sunday night, in a New York City synagogue, Jon Gosselin apologized right back to Kate for his hard-partying, post- divorce behavior.

J. GOSSELIN: I am sorry for doing the things I did, and I do ask for her forgiveness.

ANDERSON: Wait a minute. Kate is actually apologizing for being bossy. Jon is apologizing for, well, being Jon. And both are sounding a little bit nostalgic about the old days with each other.

K. GOSSELIN: They all, to a degree, say, you know, "I wish mommy and daddy could be here at the same time." And, you know, it`s about I say, "I do, too."

ANDERSON: Oh, it`s crazy, but might we? Could we be seeing the beginnings of a Jon and Kate reconciliation?

SZISH: A week ago, you would have asked me, would Jon and Kate ever get back together? My immediate answer would be there is no way that could ever happen. But suddenly, now, one has to wonder, it might be possible that there could be a Jon and Kate reunion.

K. GOSSELIN: It`s very lonely.

ANDERSON: In her TLC special last night, a tearful Kate told the "Today" show`s Natalie Morales that it`s hard to face the pressures of being a tabloid fixture all by herself.

K. GOSSELIN: I`m not alone per se, but I`m alone as far as I don`t have an adult, a person in my same boat. That`s the hard part.

ANDERSON: And at his night of atonement this past weekend, Jon also said the tabloid scrutiny is getting to him.

J. GOSSELIN: I have all of these outside pressures on me.

SZISH: We are seeing both of them soften at the same time, when both of them have been put under increasingly critical microscopes.

ANDERSON: Entertainment journalist Katrina Szish tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT maybe the pressure this ex-couple is under may have helped soften their anger toward each other and it may actually bring them together.

SZISH: Both of them have been alienated from friends and family. Both of them have been attacked and scrutinized by the media. So perhaps the only people they really have in their lives are each other.

ANDERSON: Yes, we realize this could be wishful thinking. But if this earnest couple we all fell in love with years ago could break up, then anything is possible. Maybe even a reconciliation?

SZISH: The idea of a big family reunion, of this family torn apart coming together again certainly would make all of us happy and it would be a great story.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: I don`t know. Is it really that unthinkable that Jon and Kate could actually ditch the divorce and get back together?

Well, joining me tonight in New York, Suzanne Rozdeba who is a senior editor for "Star" magazine. Also tonight, in New York, Midwin Charles, an attorney for Midwin Charles and Associates.

Midwin, I would like to begin with you. You just heard us lay out the case including Kate saying she still loves Jon. Do you see a reunion in their future?

MIDWIN CHARLES, ATTORNEY, MIDWIN CHARLES AND ASSOCIATES: It`s clearly not impossible. I mean, she is apologizing. He is apologizing. I think it`s excellent. There are eight beautiful, lovely reasons why they really need to think it through. And if there is a possibility for reconciliation, hey, then go for it.

HAMMER: Well, you know, it seems that Kate is still waiting for that call. I was really struck last night when I heard her on her show talking about how, you know, maybe one day Jon will call her up. Let`s take a look at that.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

K. GOSSELIN: I still wake up every day and I think the phone will ring, and it will be the old Jon.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes. That`s something she`s kind of been saying ever since the breakup first happened. Let me go to you, Suzanne. Does it sound to you like perhaps Kate`s crossing her fingers that Jon will call her and maybe that could be the first step of getting back together?

SUZANNE ROZDEBA, SENIOR EDITOR, "STAR" MAGAZINE: Absolutely, 100 percent, no, no, no.

HAMMER: No, no.

ROZDEBA: These two are not getting back together. We have to remember, they`ve got a big divorce, you know, to finalize. There is a custody battle in the works. These two are going to be on their best behavior especially Jon.

You know, him saying that he misses Kate, that he made mistakes - I mean, you know, this is a guy who was going around having flings left and right, you know, being with the nanny and all these other women that he was with. He is going to be so good right now. There is a lot of money at stake.

You know, everyone knows that - Kate is the one who is the cash cow here. And Jon has to be in good behavior. These two are going to make it seem as if everything is amicable. Behind the scenes, they detest each other. They will not be back together.

HAMMER: Yes. I mean, it really could be just a case of their finally taking the advice that so many people, including us here at SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, have been giving them as they have been fighting it out. And now, they maybe smoothened things out.

And while we have shown you some of the clues pointing to the possibility of a Jon and Kate reconciliation, we would be remiss in also not revealing the obstacles that certainly stand in their way.

First of all, of course, the divorce papers have been filed. And the word is that everything could actually be finalized by the end of the year. Jon has still not broken up with his 22-year-old girlfriend, Hailey Glassman.

And what about Jon moving to New York City? He`s got his bachelor pad. He`s starting off a new life here and away from the Pennsylvania homestead.

Let`s break these down. I want to start off with that first obstacle I mentioned, the divorce papers. Midwin, as the attorney on retainer here at SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, tonight, could they simply rip up those documents and put a stop to this? Or has the train left the station here?

CHARLES: Well, of course, they can. I mean, they filed the paperwork. But you have to get a final decree from the court that the divorce is actually final, which hasn`t happened here.

So of course they can stop the train. Look, it`s not a big deal if they want to get back together again. My goodness, I understand there is a lot of money at stake. And for all intents and purposes, they could be putting on a show here, right, because there is money at stake. But I don`t think it`s a big deal.

HAMMER: Well, let`s talk about Jon`s relationship with Hailey Glassman for a second. That`s certainly another big obstacle. Now, Jon has said that he and Hailey are not broken up. They are just slowing things down a little because Jon says he does not want to make the same mistakes with Hailey that he made with Kate.

Now, Suzanne, realizing that perhaps there`s more going on behind the scenes than we`re seeing on the surface, if we look at what`s going on the surface, and we`ve looked at the possibility of a reconciliation, do you think it would be because Kate would be the one taking charge with that and not so much Jon? I mean, she certainly seems more emotional than Jon about it?

ROZDEBA: Absolutely. I mean, Kate is the one who`s got the TLC show now. She`s the one who`s going to have another show. She is the one who is really looking out for the financial stake of the family and of her children.

And you know what? If she`s got to drag Jon back on the show for some kind of reunion, be it something temporary, even just to bring in the viewers, she`s going to do it.

HAMMER: Is that how you see it, Midwin? You know, certainly, we`re seeing a better behaved Jon right now, a perhaps more introspective Jon. But we`re seeing a very emotional Kate who does kind of seem like maybe she does still want him around.

CHARLES: You know, it`s funny. When she says she wishes that was the old Jon, I wonder if this is the Jon who would allow her to berate him the way she kept doing...

HAMMER: Yes, that`s true.

CHARLES: ... throughout the show or what have you. But look, you never know. This woman was married to this man, OK?

HAMMER: Yes.

CHARLES: This isn`t some fly-by-night dude. She had eight kids with him. So if she wants to get back together with him, then so be it.

HAMMER: And this has a foundation in reality TV. Stranger things have certainly happened. Suzanne Rozdeba, Midwin Charles, thanks, guys.

Now, over to you. Here is our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day - "Jon and Kate: Do you think they should get back together?" Vote at CNN.com/ShowbizTonight. E-mail showbiztonight@cnn.com.

ANDERSON: Jon says he`s sorry at least for one thing he did.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

J. GOSSELIN: And I apologize to her for openly having relationships in the public eye. And that was a huge mistake.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: OK. A huge mistake. But Jon is not the only famous guy with some, well, issues. Coming up, a SHOWBIZ special report, Hollywood`s most toxic bachelors.

Also, Jessica Simpson is outraged over her sister being fired from "Melrose Place." But Jess, could it be the Ashlee is just a bad actress? Well, I`m just saying.

We`ll also have this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CALLER: Somebody`s really drunk driving down Granton Road.

JEANNE MOOS, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): She should know.

911 DISPATCHER: OK, are you behind them, or.

CALLER: No, I am them.

911 DISPATCHER: You am them.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: You am them? Unbelievable. That`s right. A woman calls 911 on a drunk driver - herself. It`s SHOWBIZ caught on tape.

HAMMER: I can`t wait. Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news right now.

TEXT: Kate Winslet wins $40,000 in libel suit against U.K. newspaper over her exercise regimen. California appeals court to hear arguments in Roman Polanski case December 10.

HAMMER: You are watching SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on And right now, you`re definitely going to want to keep watching the bottom of your screen. It is more non-stop, compelling and provocative news from SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Did you see this? A forklift accident at a booze warehouse in Moscow caught on tape. Whoa! There he goes. The driver lost control of the forklift. And look at that. He slammed into the shelves, getting buried under about $150,000 worth of vodka and cognac. Talking about driving under the influence. Don`t worry, the driver is just fine, Brooke.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I am A.J. Hammer in New York.

ANDERSON: I am Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. Tonight, SHOWBIZ caught on tape, "Help Me, I`m Drunk." This is just unbelievable. A woman called police to report a drunk driver - herself. And it`s not the first time something like this has happened.

Here is CNN`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

MOOS (voice-over): Mary Stray did not stray from doing the right thing, turning in a drunk driver.

911 DISPATCHER: Clark County 911.

MARY STRAY, CALLER: Somebody`s really drunk driving down the Granton Rd.

MOOS: She should know.

911 DISPATCHER: OK. Are you behind them? Or.

STRAY: No, I am them.

911 DISPATCHER: You am them?

STRAY: Yes, I am them.

911 DISPATCHER: OK. So you want to call and report that you`re driving drunk?

STRAY: Yes.

MOOS: The Wisconsin woman later told police she had seven or eight brandy and cokes.

911 DISPATCHER: Are you still driving right now?

STRAY: Yes.

911 DISPATCHER: Do you want to stop driving before you get in an accident.

STRAY: Yes, I will stop.

MOOS: And she did with a blood alcohol level almost twice the legal limit. This is not the first time that someone allegedly driving drunk has called 911. It happened just last year in Washington State.

911 DISPATCHER: 911, what are you reporting?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I just don`t know if I`m safe to be driving.

911 DISPATCHER: And why wouldn`t you be safe?

CALLER: I`m pretty drunk. I don`t feel good.

MOOS: In fact, he felt so bad, he spoke to a KCPQ reporter without revealing his identity.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Killing someone else is the last thing that I wanted to do. And I just started feeling really guilty being on the road.

MOOS: Guilt isn`t always the motivating factor. Remember the Michigan police officer who called 911 high on pot he confiscated from suspects.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I think we`re dying.

911 DISPATCHER: How much did you guys have?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I don`t know. We made brownies and I think we`re dead. I really do.

MOOS: He did not die but he did resign. And for those who prefer to recline.

DENNIS ANDERSON, CRASHED A RECLINER INTO A PARKED CAR: I just had to borrow it. I don`t usually drink and drive on it.

MOOS: Dennis Anderson`s motorized recliner has been up for bid on eBay, complete with headlights, radio and, of course, cup holder. This is the famous recliner that Anderson crashed into a parked car last year while driving drunk.

Other people have motorized their recliners, but lacking the cache of infamy, they don`t get bids in the $43,000 range.

D. ANDERSON: It`s ridiculous the price it`s going for.

MOOS: Anderson is not getting the money. The Parker, Minnesota police are auctioning it off, though TMZ reports La-Z Boy corporation insists that they drop its name from the auction.

When it comes to drinking and driving, sometimes it`s not just us versus them.

911 DISPATCHER: You am them?

STRAY: Yes, I am them.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: Here is a crazy idea. If you are drunk, don`t call the police. Just don`t drive. That was CNN`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

The "Showbiz on Call" phones, A.J. - let`s move to them. They`ve been ringing off the hook. People calling in about Jon Gosselin publicly begging Kate for forgiveness.

HAMMER: That`s right. The opinions out there are pretty split, Brooke. We`ve got a call into "Showbiz on Call" from Cheryl in Canada who says Jon may talk the talk, but he has to walk the walk.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

CALLER: I don`t believe Kate should forgive Jon or accept his apology until he actually shows that he`s sincerely sorry. Saying it and meaning it is two different things.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

HAMMER: Thank you for your call, Cheryl.

ANDERSON: We also heard from Joyce calling into "Showbiz on Call" from Virginia. She says it`s definitely time to forgive.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

CALLER: Jon and Kate both have to forgive each other. They have to do this to be able, both of them, to parent these eight children. Those kids are most important. And I still think that show needs to go off the air.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

ANDERSON: We appreciate your call, Joyce. Remember, the "Showbiz on Call" phone lines are always open.

HAMMER: And this is the number - 1-888-SBT-BUZZ; that is 1-888-728-2899. Do it. Call the number. Leave us a voicemail. We`ll play some of your calls right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

So Tyra Banks has a brand-new controversy tonight over her weight. You remember how she told everyone to kiss her fat ass because women should accept their bodies? Well, now, she is showing off her dramatic, new weight loss. Is Tyra showing off a little of hypocrisy here?

Also, Hollywood`s most toxic bachelors.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JO PIAZZA, AOL POPEATER: Levi Johnston - I like to call him the toxic bachelor that will do absolutely anything for money.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes. Levi is not the only famous guy with some issues, shall we say. It is a SHOWBIZ special report not to be missed, "Hollywood`s Most Toxic Bachelors."

And for the first time ever, Rihanna is breaking her silence about the night that Chris Brown beat her. Rihanna finally opens up about how she coped with that horrifying event and everything that followed.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news right now.

TEXT: Whitney Houston selling the N.J. home where she married Bobby Brown, asking $5.6 million. Kathy Griffin signs on to host new dance show on ABC.

HAMMER: You are watching SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN. Right now, I want you to keep watching the bottom of your screen for more non-stop, compelling and provocative news from SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Well, for the first time Rihanna is breaking her silence and talking about getting beaten up by Chris Brown. Today, we learned a one- on-one interview with Diane Sawyer is going to air on Thursday morning on "Good Morning America."

In the interview, Rihanna said that Chris was her first big love. She said, "This happened to me. It can happen to anyone."

Rihanna has also been named one of "Glamour" magazine`s women of the year. In the "Glamour" article, Rihanna drops a real bombshell. She said about that fateful night, quote, "I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears. That was the level of media chaos that happened the next day."

Rihanna says that if there is one positive thing, is that people can learn from her situation. Here`s what she tells "Glamour," quote, "I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn`t heard. Now, I can help speak for those women."

ANDERSON: Tonight, Heath Ledger`s last movie coming out soon. And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT was right there at the Hollywood premiere of "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" as the cast and crew remembered Ledger.

When he died in January 2008, before the movie was finished, Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Ferrell were hired to play alternate dimension versions of his character.

And at the premiere, director Terry Gilliam told us that Heath was very excited about the film.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TERRY GILLIAM, DIRECTOR, "THE IMAGINARIUM OF DOCTOR PARNASSUS": It was a lovely idea, isn`t it? And the character he`s playing is a real comedian. Here`s the other thing - he`s not what he appears to be. And that`s the fun part.

So he literally said I was showing the storyboard to the special effects guys one day. And he was sitting there, slipped me a note saying, "Can I play Tony?" And I said, "Why?" "I want to see this movie," he said. And that`s the sad irony because he is the one person that won`t get to see the movie.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: The "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" opens on Christmas Day.

HAMMER: And now the SHOWBIZ lineup - here`s what is coming up at the bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Tyra Banks` new weight controversy. Remember she told everybody to kiss her fat ass? Well, now, she is showing off her brand-new weight loss. Is there something hypocritical going on here?

Also this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BEN WIDDICOMBE, CELEBRITY EDITOR, STYLELIST.COM: John Mayer has one of the most successful reputations in Hollywood as a ladies` man. But 2009 might be remembered as the year where his reputation went south and he became too radioactive to date.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: John Mayer could be hazardous to your dating health, and he is not the only one. A SHOWBIZ special report not to be missed, "The Most Toxic Bachelors in Hollywood."

And Jessica Simpson - she is just outraged that her sister got fired from "Melrose Place." But could it just be - I mean, think about it. Maybe Ashlee, not such a great actress.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news right now.

TEXT: Eminem and Lady Gaga to perform at American Music Awards, November 22. George Strait and Reba McEntire to launch arena tour January 22.

(CHEERS)

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Now, on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, the brand-new Tyra Banks weight controversy. First, Tyra tells women to embrace their curves. Now, she`s promoting her big weight loss. Tonight, is Tyra being a hypocrite?

Jessica Simpson`s outrage. Tonight, Jessica is furious about her sister, Ashlee, being fired from "Melrose Place." But could it be that Ashlee is just a bad actress?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

J. GOSSELIN: And I apologize to her for having open relationships in the public. And that was a huge mistake.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: They`re good-looking. They seem so nice. But oh no, they are big-time heart breakers. Tonight, a SHOWBIZ special report, "The Most Toxic Bachelors in Hollywood."

Plus, more stories breaking from the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker."

TV`s most provocative entertainment show continues right now.

(MUSIC)

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It`s 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer, broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.

ANDERSON: I`m Brooke Anderson, coming to you tonight from Hollywood.

Tonight a SHOWBIZ special report, has Jon Gosselin split from Kate and his wild antics made him a toxic bachelor? Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is naming the most toxic bachelors in Hollywood.

I`m talking about those love-them-and-leave-them single men in Hollywood who seem to have a different woman on their arm every week.

We`re thinking Jon Gosselin is pretty high on that list. This week, he`s working with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach to rehab his image as a bad boy ladies` man. But seriously, should we trust him? Or should women run the other way?

He is just one of the many men SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is naming the top toxic bachelors in Hollywood.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over): Careful, ladies. They may look handsome and sweet, but these men are toxic. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is rating the most toxic bachelors in Hollywood. So who is the most toxic bachelor of them all?

We start with a classic Hollywood bachelor, musician, John Mayer.

WIDDICOMBE: He has one of the most successful reputations in Hollywood as a ladies` man.

ANDERSON: It seems John Mayer`s second career after a fabulous musician is heartbreaker. From Jennifer Love Hewitt to Jessica Simpson to Jennifer Aniston, this guy a major wooer.

PIAZZA: There was the big thing where he famously talked about Jennifer Aniston and his relationship with TMZ, talked about their breakup.

JOHN MAYER, MUSICIAN: Jennifer Aniston is the smartest, most sophisticated person I think I`ve ever met. I ended the relationship to be alone because I don`t want to waste somebody`s time if something is not right.

ANDERSON: Gabbing about a public breakup? Bad move, John. And so, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT declares John Mayer`s toxic bachelor rating a mighty three broken hearts out of five.

John, if you want to improve your record, keep your mouth shut. And come to think of it, so should another Hollywood bachelor, the one and only Levi Johnston. He is the father of Sarah Palin`s grandson, the ex-fiance of Bristol Palin and a hunka-hunka burning love - that is until he opens his mouth.

LEVI JOHNSTON, EX-FIANCE OF BRISTOL PALIN: I think all teens or most of them are sexually active. So I mean.

PIAZZA: Levi Johnston - I like to call him the toxic bachelor that will do absolutely anything for money.

ANDERSON: Aside from scores of TV interviews, a shirtless photo spread with his naked son in "GQ" and an interesting commercial selling pistachio nuts.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Now, Levi Johnston does it with protection.

ANDERSON: Levi Johnston has now dropped the biggest bombshell of them all by reportedly dropping trousers and posing for "Playgirl."

WIDDICOMBE: Is anyone going to tell him that Playgirl.com is not a Web site for heterosexual women?

ANDERSON: So how does Levi stack up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s toxic bachelor reader?

PIAZZA: Levi Johnston, just because he is so toxic, I am giving him four toxic hearts.

ANDERSON: And if you want to talk toxic, you`ve got to talk Bobby Brown. His ex-wife Whitney Houston revealed bombshell after bombshell of his outrageous behavior while they were married.

WHITNEY HOUSTON, SINGER: He spit on me. He actually spit on me.

ANDERSON: And now that he is divorced, ladies, he is eligible.

WIDDICOMBE: So Bobby really began to look like a pretty terrible husband. However, he at least took the high road. He spoke to the media himself and he did not lash out on Whitney. So to his credit, he at least did not make it worse.

ANDERSON: So how does Bobby Brown rate on the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT toxic bachelor scale?

PIAZZA: Since he has not been that big of a bachelor this year, he is probably getting two toxic bachelor hearts.

ANDERSON: And now, for the biggest toxic bachelor of them all, relatively new to single life, this man has been wreaking havoc one lady at a time. So who is this masked man?

PIAZZA: The most toxic bachelor of 2009 has to be Jon Gosselin, mainly because he was going out and gallivanting with pretty much with anything with (EXPLETIVE DELETED).

ANDERSON: Aside from his soulmate, 22-year-old Hailey Glassman, who now claims Jon is emotionally abusive, Jon has also has been connected to his babysitter, some questionable types in Vegas, and former "Star" magazine reporter, Kate Major. She told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT in an exclusive interview that Jon is a major player.

KATE MAJOR, FORMER REPORTER, "STAR" MAGAZINE: And we held hands and kissed in a car. And this was all.

HAMMER (on camera): It was on the first night?

MAJOR: Yes.

HAMMER: You kissed on the first night?

MAJOR: Unfortunately, yes.

ANDERSON: Jon has to do something to fix his tarnished representation and fast. But until that day happens, Jon Gosselin is officially named the most toxic bachelor of them all. John, you get five broken hearts out of five. Congrats.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: So did we get it right? Is Jon Gosselin the most toxic bachelor of all time? Our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook fans have been duking online it out all day long.

And joining tonight in New York, Suzanne Rozdeba who is a senior editor for "Star" magazine. And tonight, in Hollywood, Kim Serafin, who is a senior editor for "In Touch Weekly."

Ladies, lets get right to it. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is naming Jon Gosselin the most toxic bachelor. But Jon has been teaming up with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach claiming he`s a reformed man who is now moral, working to get on more civil terms with his soon-to-be ex-wife, Kate. Suzanne, are you buying it? Or once a toxic bachelor, always a toxic bachelor?

ROZDEBA: I am so not buying this. I mean, he is obviously being on his best behavior because he`s got something called finalizing a divorce coming up. And he`s got a custody battle, so he is trying to be really good lately.

He is even releasing statements saying that he misses part of Kate and he made mistakes, and you know, he is an adult now. But the thing is, is that once a bachelor always a bachelor. Jon is still going to have his little flings. They are going to be a little bit quieter.

But it`s still going to happen. And he broke Hailey Glassman`s heart. He told her to the face, over and over, that he didn`t have his other flings on the side. Jon is the number one toxic bachelor.

ANDERSON: He certainly does seem to love the playboy lifestyle. And we`ve got some pretty - some other pretty on-target votes for most toxic bachelor.

Holly H. writes on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook wall, "Jude Law! He is always cheating on his woman. He is cute though! LOL!"

Hey, Holly`s got a point there. He was caught cheating on his wife with the nanny and his very brief girlfriend has given birth to their child. Kim, what do you say? How does Jude stack up against the other toxic bachelors?

KIM SERAFIN, SENIOR EDITOR, "IN TOUCH WEEKLY": Yes. I mean, of course, I would be very worried about dating him. He doesn`t seem to be able to be faithful to the women that he`s with. But you know, he is good-looking. He`s a good actor.

And you know, he`s up there with John Mayer - same thing, you know. You know what you`re getting with John Mayer. He is a player, but he looks like he`s a lot of fun. So you kind of walk into it and knowing what you`re getting.

ANDERSON: Yes, you have to be very careful with those types.

(CROSSTALK)

Yes. John Mayer, if he`s listening, he can call me. So that`s fine.

ANDERSON: You will be prepared. OK. Well, Sherry M. writes on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook wall, "Chris Brown! You guys, he`s oozing toxins!" Amen, Sherry. I agree with you. After admitting to beating up Rihanna, Suzanne, I think it`s safe to say Chris Brown is a toxic bachelor. What do you say?

ROZDEBA: Absolutely. You know what`s the most annoying thing about him? Rihanna starts releasing things about her album, about how excited she is. She`s doing all this new work. Chris Brown has to come out, stomp all over her parade, do the same thing, start promoting his album.

I mean, this is a guy who, you know, issued this faux apology. And you know, it`s just trying to rebuild his public image and it just really isn`t working.

ANDERSON: You know, I agree with you. Time will tell with that one. Interestingly, many people wrote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook wall that both George Clooney and Gerard Butler should be called toxic bachelors.

But Mary J. is having none of it. She writes, "Toxic is the keyword here. George Clooney - not toxic. Gerard Butler - not toxic. Jon Gosselin - very toxic.

Kim, very quickly. Is it fair to crown Jon Gosselin the most toxic bachelor of them all?

SERAFIN: Yes, exactly. Again, George Clooney, a little bit of a player, but Gosselin - if you`ve dated him, you would never know who is showing up at your door. Would it be Jon Gosselin in Ed Hardy with BFF Michael Lohan? Would it be Jon Gosselin with octomom? Would it be Jon Gosselin with the spiritual adviser? You`ll never know.

ANDERSON: You never know. He does seem like a real womanizer these days. Suzanne Rozdeba and Kim Serafin, thank you both. Good to see you, ladies.

HAMMER: So do you remember when Tyra Banks did that whole "kiss my fat ass" thing when got slammed for her weight? I really thought that it was a terrific message for women everywhere - embrace your body.

But tonight, Tyra is showing off her new big weight loss. So I`ve got to ask, are these mixed messages bad? Is Tyra a hypocrite?

Also, tonight, Kirstie Alley`s startling plan to lose weight. You know, Kirstie has gone up and down. She was a Jenny Craig spokesperson. And then she gained 83 pounds. Well, wait until you hear what she is going to do.

And wow, Jessica Simpson just furious with "Melrose Place" for firing Ashlee. But tonight, I`ve just got to ask, could Ashlee getting canned to be because she is just a bad actress?

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news right now.

TEXT: Paramount considering a sequel to "Paranormal Activity." Ryan Seacrest`s alleged stalker pleads "not guilty," preliminary hearing November 16th.

BANKS: Women whose names you know, women whose names you don`t and women who have been picked on, women whose husbands put them down, women at work or girls in school, I have one thing to say to you - kiss my fat ass!

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: You remember this when Tyra Banks slammed the tabloids for dissing her weight back in 2007? Tyra really sent a great message to women everywhere - celebrate your curves.

But tonight, is Tyra being a total hypocrite after dropping a whopping 30 pounds?

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

ANDERSON: I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. And tonight, Tyra`s brand-new weight shocker.

HAMMER: Tonight, Tyra Banks is revealing all about how she dropped the pounds. But hold on just a second. Is she talking out of both sides of her mouth here? We`ve got a great debate.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT also learned today that Kirstie Alley is taking her weight loss battle to reality TV. I`ve got to ask, after exposing her weight loss disappointments on TV before, is she just setting herself up for failure here?

Also breaking today, Jessica Simpson`s brand-new Twitter tirade about "Melrose Place." Jessica calls the show, and this is a quote, "crap" after her sister Ashlee was fired. But is Jessica out of line?

Joining me tonight in Hollywood is Rachel Zalis who is a contributing editor for "Life and Style Weekly." Also tonight in New York is Midwin Charles who is an attorney with Midwin Charles and Associates.

Let`s start off with Tyra`s weight loss revelations. Now, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT learned today that on Tyra`s show on Wednesday, she`s going to reveal her secrets to dropping a whopping 30 pounds. I want to show what you Tyra has to say about how she felt pressured by media attention to do this. Take a look.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BANKS: I felt kind of exposed because I was not trying to like proclaim to the world, "I got fit and I got healthy. And I got in shape," because I felt kind of conflicted especially after the "kiss my fat ass" thing. Like kiss my fat ass. It`s still fat, by the way.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

I just feel better inside. No more stomach aches.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes. I don`t know about that. But right there, you have Tyra admitting that people might see her as talking out of both sides of her mouth. Midwin, is she?

CHARLES: I don`t. I don`t. I think her message was that women need to feel comfortable with the skin that they are in. And if she didn`t feel comfortable and wanted to lose 30 pounds, so be it. What`s the big deal? I don`t think she`s a hypocrite at all.

HAMMER: All right. Brooke Anderson, let me bring you back in here. Because you and I covered the Tyra weight controversy two years ago where, you know, she was being called out for her weight. She sent a great message. People back then when saying, you know, "Way to go, Tyra."

And Tyra says she embraces her curves. Yet she lost all this weight. Do you think, Brooke, that she can have it both ways? Or do you think a lot of people are going to call her a hypocrite here?

ANDERSON: I think people will call her a hypocrite no matter what she does, A.J. But I don`t think she is sending mixed messages, personally. She is says it`s not about skinny.

And you know, look at her. She`s not emaciated now. She`s still curvy. She looks great. And it`s sending a message about good health. And I think we all need to strive to be as fit and as strong as possible because that`s good for our long-term health, bodies and minds.

And when I say that Tyra is sending a great message, I really don`t think that I`m alone here. Rachel, are you with me on this one?

RACHEL ZALIS, CONTRIBUTING EDITOR, "LIFE AND STYLE": I am absolutely with you, with Midwin. She never signed up to be a poster child for plus-sized women.

CHARLES: That`s right.

ZALIS: When she said kiss my fat you-know-what two years ago, she was standing up and sticking up for women of all shapes and sizes that don`t want to be judged. And it doesn`t matter whether she weighs 130 or 160. She is a great inspiration for women everywhere.

HAMMER: All right. Well, then, let us move on to another story that`s breaking today. The A & E network confirmed today for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that Kirstie Alley is planning on doing a reality show documenting what they call her journey with weight loss.

Now, this is the same Kirstie Alley who parodied her weight on her show, "Fat Actress." She lost over 70 pounds as a spokesperson for Jenny Craig. She put on that bikini to go on "Oprah." And then, she gained over 80 pounds back.

I have been among those rooting for Kirstie all along. But Midwin, it does seem to me that perhaps Kirstie is setting herself up for failure again and she said it was a miserable experience before.

CHARLES: It was a miserable experience, but I applaud Kirstie for doing this. It`s so difficult to kind of share your inner battles and struggles with the world. But remember, Oprah did this, too.

Oprah lost weight, gained it, came back, ran the marathon and put back weight on. It`s just what people go through. And if she wants to share that with people, I think that`s a really, really good thing.

HAMMER: Well, we all want Kirstie, obviously, to be her healthiest. Rachel, what do you think? Is doing it on television the way to go for her?

ZALIS: Listen, she might be setting herself up for failure, but I cannot wait to watch. I mean, I love her on TV. Huge fan of Kirstie, love "Fat Actress." And now, she is going to be on A & E. This is a network that has "Intervention," "Hoarders," "Mindfreak," "Doug the Bounty Hunter."

HAMMER: Yes.

ZALIS: How good can this show get, really?

HAMMER: And somehow, it`s going to be funny because it has Kirstie Alley. Let`s move on to another big story breaking today.

Jessica Simpson blasting "Melrose Place" for firing her sister, Ashlee, writing her out of the show on the CW Network. Take a look at what Jessica tweeted, "CW catching up on MP. Who writes this crap? I have had bad scripts to work with, but this? Thank god my sister is amazing and got you some press."

All right. I know Jessica is doing the big sister thing here, protecting Ashlee. But Midwin, the buzz elsewhere is that Ashlee was fired because - well, she is a terrible actress. I`m not saying that but I`ve seen that buzz. Do you think, Midwin, that Jessica is making herself look a little silly by coming out like this?

CHARLES: I think so, too. I mean, I wonder what else Jessica has going on with, you know, her career or lack thereof, right, subject to debate and argument. But it`s entirely possible that her sister was just not the best actress for "Melrose Place," that`s why she was fired. She needs to tweet about something else.

HAMMER: Yes. What do you think, Rachel. Real quickly, do you think this was a mistake for Jessica to come out in defense of her sister here?

ZALIS: I think Jess is at home jumping up and down. For once, the tables turned and Ashlee is getting the bad press and she gets to stick up for her.

HAMMER: Yes. And she just, you know, has a little sisterly love on the outside...

ZALIS: Exactly.

HAMMER: ... but may be feeling differently on the inside. OK. I don`t know. You said it, not me. Rachel Zalis, Midwin Charles, thanks, guys, I appreciate you being here.

ANDERSON: Tonight, Sandra Bullock`s brand-new, big-time custody battle. Get this, Sandra is fighting her husband`s ex-wife for custody of their five-year-old daughter. And it just so happens his ex is a porn star. That`s right - it`s Sandra versus her husband`s ex, the porn queen. What a bizarre story.

HAMMER: It is time now to roll out the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker." These are more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom that are making news right now.

TEXT: Game five of the World Series is the highest-rated game five since 2003 series, 17.1 million watch. TNT picks up "Southland," which was cancelled by NBC.

HAMMER: You are watching SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN. And right now, I want you to keep on watching the bottom of your screen for more nonstop, compelling and provocative news from SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Tonight, talk about falling stars. Mariah sure knows how to make an entrance. Her appearance Monday night on "The Jay Leno Show" turned into a close call for Carey after she almost fell flat on her face. Check this out.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JAY LENO, HOST, "THE JAY LENO SHOW": Please welcome Mariah Carey.

(MUSIC)

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Thanks for coming.

MARIAH CAREY, SINGER: Thanks for having me. You know, when I tripped, I had choreographed that earlier.

LENO: Right.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

CAREY: It was a plan just to make Jay like, nervous that maybe he was going to get sued.

LENO: Those are amazing shoes.

CAREY: Do you like them? But look what happened backstage, and this is the cause of the whole thing. That`s loose.

LENO: Oh, no.

CAREY: Oh. It is so abusive when they can`t make shoes properly.

LENO: You know something? I was watching the guys in the audience. That is the first thing their eyes went to. Yes. That`s where a lot of eyes go exactly.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Very funny. And I`ve got hand it to Mariah. She recovered pretty well, right? She was on the show promoting her new film "Precious," which comes out in limited release this Friday.

I`ve got to tell you her performance as a social worker in the film is actually getting big Oscar buzz. Really. Go, Mariah. You`re coming a long way since "Glitter."

HAMMER: Yes, but she missed a step. All right. Now, we have a bizarre story of Sandra Bullock fighting her husband`s ex-wife, a porn star, for custody of their five-year-old daughter.

Let me explain. It`s a little complicated. Sandra is married to "Monster Garage" star Jesse James. And she`s been helping him raise his daughter since January while his ex, Janine Lindemulder, was in prison for tax evasion. Janine is a hard core porn actress.

At Janine`s prison sentencing, Bullock even wrote a letter to the judge saying that she feared for the little girl. In the letter, Bullock wrote, "I myself have stopped working like I used to in order to be here with Jesse because we are on constant high alert never knowing what condition Janine will be in, and even more concerning, the condition the girl will be in."

Since getting out of prison, Bullock`s husband`s ex, Janine, has spent the last few months in a half way house. Now, Janine was supposed to get custody of the girl when she got out of prison. But James and Bullock have been awarded temporary custody. They`re planning on fighting for permanent custody.

ANDERSON: On Monday, we asked you to vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day. Just moments ago, we got the final result - "Jon Begs Kate for Forgiveness: Should Kate accept his apology?" Forty-one percent of you say yes. But 59 percent say no.

Here are some of the E-mails. Daina from Alabama writes, "If Kate is truly wanting to do what is best for the kids, she will forgive him when he straightens his act up."

Cheryl from Saskatchewan, Canada writes, "Why can`t anybody see through Jon and his fake apology? This is a guy who really only thinks of himself and not his family." We do appreciate your E-mails.

HAMMER: Now, Brooke, when we were talking about this earlier in the show, do you think they`re going to get back together and reconcile.

ANDERSON: No, I don`t.

HAMMER: I don`t see that happening.

ANDERSON: I could be wrong.

HAMMER: I don`t think so. That is sit for us tonight. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. And remember, you can always catch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on the 11:00s - 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific, and in the morning at 11:00 a.m. Eastern on HLN.
