A.J. HAMMER, HLN HOST: Big news breaking today on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT - Elisabeth versus Erin. The mind-boggling battle today between "The View" co-host and Erin Andrews from "Dancing with the Stars."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ELISABETH HASSELBECK, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": Over the past, like, three weeks, she`s been wearing like next to nothing.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Did Erin Andrews deserve to be slammed for doing "Dancing" after her peephole stalker drama? Elisabeth in tears today.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HASSELBECK: Gosh.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Big Kate Gosselin news breaking today. She`s returning to "Dancing with the Stars."

Big stars going to big extremes. More news breaking today about Lindsay Lohan playing a porn star. Miley Cyrus` super sexy new video out today. And "Ms. Ten Plastic Surgeries," Heidi Montag, now wants even bigger breasts.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show starts right now.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City with big news breaking today - dancing with outrage. Yes. An absolutely incredible war of words exploded today over what "View" co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck said about "Dancing with the Stars" contestant, Erin Andrews. And today, Elisabeth actually broke down in tears over this. It all comes down to whether Erin, who was taped naked in a hotel room by a sicko peeper, should be wearing outfits that could be seen as sexually provocative. And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that today, well, Elisabeth had to grab a whole bunch of extra napkins to wipe all the egg off her face.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER (voice-over): "The View" co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck is learning what happens when you mess with dancers. The cast of "Dancing with the Stars" was ready to rumble "West Side Story" style after Hasselbeck slammed contestant Erin Andrews for the sexy outfits she wears on the show.

(MUSIC)

And today SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you, the war between Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Erin Andrews that began with a bang -

HASSELBECK: She`s been wearing, like, next to nothing.

HAMMER: This morning ended with a whimper.

HASSELBECK: I promised her that I would use my words more mindfully like I try to do to build people up, not break them down. And -

HAMMER: Today, on "The View," Elisabeth Hasselbeck teared up as she apologized for the cruel words about Andrews, her outfits, and Andrews` recent stalking ordeal. Elisabeth said her hurtful words made it hard for her to face her five-year-old daughter, Grace.

HASSELBECK: I went home. I wasn`t feeling that great about it. And I`m sitting with Grace, my five-year-old. And she said, "Mommy, why do you look so sad?" I said, "Well, Grace, today, Mommy hurt someone`s feelings. And - gosh."

BONNIE FULLER, EDITOR-IN-CHIEF, "HOLLYWOODLIFE.COM": We saw that she felt badly. I`m glad she felt badly. I thought it was outrageous what she said.

HAMMER: It all started on yesterday`s "View." Hasselbeck brought up Andrews` recent horrifying ordeal. This past March, an Illinois man was convicted of secretly shooting nude videos of Andrews through her hotel room peephole and putting that video online.

Yesterday, Hasselbeck suggested that whole ordeal should have inspired Andrews to wear less sexy outfits on "Dancing with the Stars."

HASSELBECK: In light of what happened and as illegal and as inexcusable as it was for that horrific guy to go in and try to peep on her in her hotel room - I mean, in some way, if I`m him, I`m like, man, I just could have waited 12 weeks and seen this. A little bit less without the prison time.

FULLER: It was a slap in the face.

HAMMER: Bonnie Fuller of "HollywoodLife.com" tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Elisabeth definitely owed Erin an apology for those comments.

FULLER: I think it`s very sad that some people feel Erin Andrews should curtail her activities and her opportunities because she had a stalker. She`s the victim here.

HAMMER: An angry Erin Andrews slammed Hasselbeck`s comments, telling "Access Hollywood" she doesn`t need an apology.

NIECY NASH, "DANCING WITH THE STARS" CONTESTANT: We definitely rally around each other on all fronts.

HAMMER: Just last month, contestant Niecy Nash told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT said no one messes with her fellow cast members. Nash proved it in a Twitter post yesterday calling Elisabeth Hasselbeck`s comments, quote, "insensitive, in poor taste and remedial, and foolish.

ERIN ANDREWS, "DANCING WITH THE STARS" CONTESTANT: This one has just been kind of like my knight in shining armor.

HAMMER: Andrews` knight, her dance partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, also defended her against Hasselbeck`s slam. He tweeted, quote, "I`m the one designing Erin Andrews` dresses for the show. So I`ll just assume that Elisabeth Hasselbeck is jealous and stupid for her comments."

FULLER: I say yay to the cast of "Dancing with the Stars," that they jumped immediately to Erin`s defense.

HAMMER: But with all the criticism, it was clear on "The View" today that it was the words of Hasselbeck`s little girl that led her to apologize.

HASSELBECK: Thankfully, she`s five and so cute. She said to me, "Mommy, why don`t you just call Erin and tell her you`re sorry." So thankfully, I listened to her. She`s a wise little girl and I did. So I`m really sorry and I wanted to offer that publicly.

FULLER: I think Elisabeth has got a very smart five-year-old. Elisabeth`s done a good job.

HAMMER: So if Elisabeth hopes to avoid future rumbles - here`s a tip. Next time you`re tempted to say something outrageous on TV, check with your daughter first.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Elisabeth Hasselbeck`s new comments today sparked a great SHOWBIZ TONIGHT debate. Did Elisabeth Hasselbeck have anything to apologize for today?

Right now in New York, Carolina Bermudez, who is a senior editor for "In Touch Weekly." She is also the co-host of the fantastic "Elvis Duran and the Morning Show" radio program. And in Memphis is Ben Ferguson who is a conservative radio host.

All right. I`ve got to give Elisabeth Hasselbeck a lot of credit for what she did today when she came out and apologized. I did think her comments yesterday were totally off-base. I think they just served to victimize Erin Andrews all over again. But Ben, what do you think? Did Elizabeth have anything to apologize for?

BEN FERGUSON, CONSERVATIVE RADIO TALK SHOW HOST: Look, I think the apology was OK and I understand that she came out and said, "Look, I probably should have said that." But the fact of the matter is, Erin Andrews is out there shaking her stuff and that`s how she`s making her money.

She wouldn`t have been on "Dancing with the Stars" without all the controversy that went on there. If she wants to protect herself from crazies in the future, you might want to think twice before you walk out there and show it all to the world and expect some crazy isn`t going to come after you.

CAROLINA BERMUDEZ, SENIOR EDITOR, "IN TOUCH WEEKLY": Right, Ben. So what she`s supposed to do is crawl into a hole and never come out in public again -

FERGUSON: No, that`s not what I said.

BERMUDEZ: And wear a nun`s habit?

FERGUSON: That`s not what I said.

BERMUDEZ: That`s exactly what you`re saying.

FERGUSON: No, it`s not. No, what I said was, last night, the fact is she would not have been on "Dancing with the Stars" if people wouldn`t have known about what happened with her.

BERMUDEZ: Oh, that`s absurd.

FERGUSON: And if these videos wouldn`t have gone out there. She would have been a side line -

BERMUDEZ: How do you know that? She`s an ESPN reporter.

FERGUSON: And guess what? She still would have been an ESPN sideline reporter at that. The controversy made her famous. This has made her famous. And the fact is if she wants to protect herself and if she was so hurt by what happened as she says that she is, then you might want to be a little more careful when you go out there on TV and you shake it.

HAMMER: But Ben, why should she - and this was not specifically about shaking it. This was specifically about the outfits she was wearing. Why should she, above anybody else, have to tone down what she was wearing?

FERGUSON: Well, look, the fact of the matter is it depends on what you want to do with your life. If she wants to go out there and to - and to constantly be talking about how she`s going to defend women as she should, and I think that`s a great point for her to make. It`s kind of hard for people to take it seriously when you`re saying those comments from the ropes and from the red carpet, you`re wearing next to nothing. It`s hard for me to take it seriously.

BERMUDEZ: That is ridiculous.

FERGUSON: No, it`s not.

BERMUDEZ: And you know what? I love how Elisabeth Hasselbeck is wearing a tube top which some people would say is next to nothing and she is criticizing what Erin Andrews is wearing.

Seriously, if you think about it, a lot of people would look at Elisabeth Hasselbeck and what she chooses to wear on "The View" every day and they could have an issue with that. This is a dancing show. It is a costume.

FERGUSON: You just - whoa, time out. You can tell me -

BERMUDEZ: It`s a costume.

FERGUSON: Elisabeth Hasselbeck and the clothes she wears on "The View" aren`t even close to as revealing as what they wear on "Dancing with the Stars." You know it. I know it. It`s disingenuous to claim otherwise. Erin Andrews is a beautiful woman and everybody agrees with that.

BERMUDEZ: But she should hide it?

FERGUSON: But if you`re going to go out there -

BERMUDEZ: She should cover it up is what you`re saying.

FERGUSON: There`s a difference between being tasteful and letting it all hang out. Go ask Pamela Anderson who got voted out last night.

BERMUDEZ: Oh, please. You`re so out of line.

HAMMER: But Ben, you said it yourself. This is what they wear on "Dancing with the Stars." Everybody dresses like that. Listen -

FERGUSON: Kate Gosselin wasn`t wearing those. There`s no way.

HAMMER: She`s certainly was wearing some pretty racy stuff.

BERMUDEZ: Absolutely.

HAMMER: I would beg to differ with you. Look, Elisabeth got teary on "The View" today. She`s not the only one who cried. Erin Andrews did tell "Access Hollywood" that`s exactly what she did when she heard what Elisabeth said yesterday. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ANDREWS: I cried. I got emotional. I felt like it was a slap in the face for victims of stalkers and victims of sexual predators.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Would you like an apology from Elisabeth?

ANDREWS: No. I don`t need an apology.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: All right. So right there, Erin is saying she didn`t need an apology but she did get one personally on the phone from Elisabeth. Elisabeth publicly apologized on "The View" today. Carolina, my question is will people now be able to forgive Elisabeth? Because I, for one, when I heard what she said today, I said, good. Good for her for owning her comments and for basically taking it back.

BERMUDEZ: Well, definitely. I think it takes a big person to apologize and it takes an even bigger person to accept an apology. So I think that people need to look at it as a very sincere apology. Elisabeth went on there - I think the problem is Elisabeth has a pattern of putting her foot in her mouth all the time.

And so I think that people have seen this before. And so some people may be skeptical that this is actually, you know, her real feelings, that she`s apologizing.

(CROSS TALK)

HAMMER: Ben, I want you to go on our Facebook page when we`re done with this segment, because you have to see - and I scoured through the thing looking for one person who was in support of what Elisabeth said, and nobody was, including this one comment I`ll read from Lori G.

Elisabeth did the right thing by apologizing. "Elisabeth was crying. I don`t think she meant to hurt Erin and just made a mistake. No one`s perfect. We all mess up at one time or another."

But I didn`t find one comment saying what she said was OK. What do you say to all the critics who are going after Elisabeth today?

FERGUSON: Look, the fact of the matter is when she made the comment as you played at the very beginning of the piece, all the audience and you heard them laugh in agreement in my opinion.

HAMMER: Oh, it was nervous laughter, Ben.

BERMUDEZ: That was not.

HAMMER: I`ve got to tell you.

FERGUSON: And I don`t think (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

HAMMER: I appreciate what you`re saying. But I do have to move on right now because we have big Kate Gosselin news - speaking of Kate. She is now revealing today how she keeps herself in shape. Plus, wait until you hear the brand-new details on why Kate is returning to "Dancing with the Stars."

Carolina and Ben, stay right where you are. That is coming up in just a moment.

But now we move on to big stars going to big extremes today. Miley Cyrus` super sexy new video.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Is that really Hannah Montana looking like that? Really? Miley going to big extremes.

And Heidi Montag going to big extremes today as well. Ms. Ten Plastic Surgeries now wants even bigger breasts, and I`m talking size H, as in huge.

Regis and Kelly do Heidi and Spencer -

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

REGIS PHILBIN, CO-HOST, "LIVE WITH REGIS AND KELLY": Wake up my little pop star. Are you ready to see your new look? Oh, my. I`m going to take it off. Yes.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Just see what`s under those plastic surgery bandages. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views. Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Playboy playmate and reality TV star Kendra Wilkinson to fight release of a sex tape. Woman suing "Real World" for $5 million, saying the show humiliated her.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Charlie Sheen is making a stunning move today involving his children and his ex, Denise Richards. And a major star oops on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. All this and more making big news in "The Buzz" today.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over): The Hollywood walk of shame. Julia Louis-Dreyfus - that`s L-O-U-I-S Dreyfus - just got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. But before the ceremony, a shameful mistake. It seems that they were prepared to honor Julia L-U-I-S Dreyfus.

The mistake was spotted by CNN producer David Daniel on his way to work. He took a picture as proof, notified officials and yada-yada-yada, it was fixed in time for the official unveiling.

Demi Moore takes on sex trafficking. Moore just went to Washington to lead a campaign against the trafficking of underage girls. Then, it was on to New York for "Time" magazine`s gala honoring "Time`s" just named 100 most influential people. Demi`s husband, Ashton Kutcher, was honored for his use of social networking. And he told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT about their new cause.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ASHTON KUTCHER, ACTOR: We just started a foundation called the DNA Foundation to fight human trafficking and modern-day slavery.

HAMMER: Charlie Sheen`s startling child custody move. TMZ reports that Charlie Sheen has given his ex-wife, Denise Richards, full custody of their two children. Big surprise there, given how bitterly they fought since their divorce. The "Two and a Half Men" star is now facing trial on charges he attacked his current wife, Brooke Mueller, and reportedly did not put up a fight when his ex, Denise Richards, pushed for this change.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Yes. Well, what baffles me and a lot of other people is why Charlie Sheen would make a dramatic and sudden decision to give up custody of his kids.

Right now, in New York, Vikki Ziegler, who is a family attorney.

All right, Vikki. So Charlie and Denise were in this ugly divorce battle that really hasn`t stopped since their divorce back in 2006. So now, you have Charlie handing over full legal custody to Denise and there`s no fight here.

Why do you think he`s doing this now? Do you think that Charlie`s really shocking decision has a lot to do with all of his current legal trouble?

VIKKI ZIEGLER, FAMILY ATTORNEY: Yes, I do. This is shocking news to me as a practitioner, a divorce attorney. We never suggest that people give up their custodial rights. So I think what`s happening now, he probably doesn`t have the emotional legs to fight a custody battle if one were to ensue.

And I think probably the criminal matter that`s pending in Aspen with his current wife, Brook Mueller, are too difficult for him to face. And I think he thinks, perhaps, that he doesn`t want all of his additional dirty laundry to be aired in a potential custody battle.

But this is a shocking revelation. When we saw the disgusting allegations that they made against each other, Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen back in `06 and `07 when he fought so strenuously for joint custody, and now to give it up.

HAMMER: Yes. And the back and forth. Yes. I mean, that was about as intense as I have ever seen it in all the years I`ve been covering this stuff. And we know that Charlie has had a lot of personal setbacks. He entered a rehab facility back in February.

Here`s another thing. I was thinking, Vikki, even if Charlie wanted to fight for custody of his two girls, is it possible his recent stint in rehab could be a potential major roadblock that he just didn`t want to try to fight?

ZIEGLER: Certainly. I think the argument is always going to be that he`s not fit. He can`t care for these children and they would be in harm`s way if, in fact, he is caring for them on a consistent basis.

Perhaps falling off the wagon, so to speak, doing drugs and alcohol in the presence of your children or at least maybe the next day is never a good sign. So he probably would have an uphill battle. But to give up your custodial rights voluntarily is almost unheard of.

HAMMER: Yes. And then there`s the idea in the news today that Denise Richards could be called to testify at Charlie`s upcoming trial because he allegedly attacked his current wife. Maybe he`s trying to smooth things over with his ex-wife just in case she does appear.

ZIEGLER: Right. Listen, there`s a lot of evidence that could be used against him. And perhaps, there was that agreement.

HAMMER: Yes.

ZIEGLER: You give up custody and let me take all of the decision- making power and I won`t hurt you in court.

HAMMER: We don`t know if that happened. But certainly who knows with these two.

ZIEGLER: Yes.

HAMMER: Anything is possible. Vikki Ziegler, thank you so much. By the way, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT did reach out to Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards. As of show time, we have not heard back.

As we move on, there are big stars going to big extremes today. Lindsay Lohan`s going to be playing a porn star. Not just any old porn star - one of the most famous porn stars of all time.

And Heidi Montag certainly knows a thing or ten about going to extremes. You remember her ten plastic surgeries in one day. Well, now, she wants even bigger breasts.

Also, startling news today about Sarah Palin`s daughter, the father of her baby, Levi Johnston. Now, will this actually mean an end to Levi`s Sarah Palin bashing? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - these are more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: "X-Men: First Class" to open on June 3, 2011; film series has grossed $1.53 billion. Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart reveal their two- month-old daughter.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: "Grey`s Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo just kicked off the American Cancer Society`s "Choose You" campaign in New York`s Times Square. The "Choose You" campaign encourages women to reduce their cancer risk. Obviously, that`s a terrific idea. And that digital billboard that Ellen lit up? It is reportedly the largest in the world.

The Grand Ole Opry has been struck by those devastating Nashville floods today. The Opry, probably the most famous country music venue in the world, is flooded. A lot of items there just destroyed.

The raging waters are also affecting stars. Keith Urban and his wife, Nicole Kidman, live in Nashville. And unfortunately, the place where Urban and others keep their tour gear - it got swamped.

Listen to what Urban told CNN`s Rick Sanchez about his loss via Skype.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KEITH URBAN, COUNTRY SINGER: So we thought we`d leave in a day and you know, hope the waters would subside. Instead, they just kept going up and up. So at this stage I`m - it`s possible that as much as I haven`t lost what everybody else has, that I`ve probably lost all my equipment, all my road equipment, all my guitars and amps and everything.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: How tough. My heart goes out to everyone affected by these devastating floods. Stars are trying to help, though. Vince Gill telethon that`s scheduled for Thursday and other fundraisers are currently in the works.

Well, we`ve been getting tons of calls in to "Showbiz on Call" all about Naomi Campbell`s tear-filled interview with Oprah. The calls coming in today. Naomi blaming her attacks on people, cameras and phone throwing - blaming all that stuff on her mother. I can tell you, none of our phones were harmed in the producing of this story.

Kitty calling in from Canada thinks Naomi`s got issues but also thinking people are looking to cash in on her tantrums.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

KITTY, CALLER FROM CANADA: Yes, she needs help with anger management. But I believe people know how to push her buttons and they do hopefully looking for money. That`s what I believe.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

HAMMER: All right. Kitty, thanks for your call. We also heard from Marilyn calling in from Virginia who thinks that if you come anywhere near Naomi, you better wear a hockey mask.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

MARILYN, CALLER FROM VIRGINIA: I think we`ve all learned that the people around her better duck. Because every time she says she`s sorry, she ends up knocking another person with a phone or whatever.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

HAMMER: Thanks a lot, Marilyn. The "Showbiz on Call" phone lines are always open. The number is right here - 1-888-SBT-BUZZ; that`s 1-888-728- 2899.

Now, it`s time for the SHOWBIZ lineup. Here`s what`s coming at the bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Big news breaking today - Kate Gosselin returns to "Dancing with the Stars."

Also, big stars going to big extremes today. Miley Cyrus` super sexy new music video. We can certainly say, bye-bye, Hannah Montana.

Heidi Montag also going to big extremes. She wants even bigger breasts. And Regis and Kelly do Heidi and Spencer.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PHILBIN: Wake up my little pop star. Are you ready to see your new look? Oh, my. Oh, I`m going to take it off, yes.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: What`s really under those plastic surgery bandages? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

More stories breaking today in the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker. Today, the latest on Kelly Clarkson, Demi Lovato and the "Lost" finale.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City with big news breaking today - going to extremes. Three big Hollywood stars taking things to the extreme.

Let`s start with Miley Cyrus and her brand-new very sexy music video out today. Forget Hannah Montana. Miley is going to the other extreme.

Big news breaking today about Lindsay Lohan going to the big extreme as porn legend Linda Lovelace. Yes, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT confirmed today Lindsay is all set to play the "Deep Throat" superstar.

And Heidi Montag apparently still does not have the breasts that she wants. We learned today that she wants to make them even more extreme.

With me right now in New York is Carolina Bermudez who is the senior editor for "In Touch Weekly," and she is the co-host of the "Elvis Duran and the Morning Show." Also in New York, Deborah Norville, who is the anchor for "Inside Edition."

All right. I`ve got to begin with Miley Cyrus and her brand-new video. This is for her new song, "Can`t Be Tamed." It made its premiere on "E!" on Tuesday night. And you`ve got to take a look at this.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: That absolutely is not Hannah Montana in that cage there.

DEBORAH NORVILLE, ANCHOR, "INSIDE EDITION": No, it`s not.

HAMMER: Look, I`m all for Miley shaking things up and trying to grow up. But do you think maybe she`s going too extreme trying to shed that squeaky clean image of hers?

NORVILLE: I think it`s a deliberate act. I think she`s been in the business for a long time. Her father has been in the business a long time. Her mother is a very savvy player in this business. This is all thought out.

People who look at this and say it`s too much for a 17-year-old girl. It might be too much for a 17-year-old girl who hasn`t been in the entertainment world. But this kid has been a part of entertainment for a long time.

HAMMER: Yes.

NORVILLE: If you close your eyes and don`t look at Miley Cyrus what you`re hearing is a song that`s probably going to be really big in the dance scene.

HAMMER: Sure.

NORVILLE: You can see it in the clubs. It`s the idea of Miley Cyrus. And if you look at the video, it sort of weirds you out because it`s a cross between Lady Gaga, Madonna and the Michael Jackson "Thriller" dance, which is kind of odd.

HAMMER: Yes. But I think what`s really throwing people is how we know Miley. And of course, that`s from the Disney days. Now, Miley did speak to Ryan Seacrest on "E! News." And Miley defends the video. She says it`s not about being sexy. Take a look at this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MILEY CYRUS, SINGER: It is a sexy video. And you can`t really take that away from it, but it`s not the premise. It`s not like, "OK, what is your video about?" "Well, it`s about being sexy," because that`s what a lot of videos are and that`s not what I wanted.

The video isn`t about being sexy or about who can wear less clothes. That`s what every other video I feel like is about. That`s not what I want this video to be about. It`s about explaining the song and living the lyrics.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: All right. Carolina, I`ve got to tell you, I don`t think anybody is watching this music video and even hearing the lyrics. Do you think she went too extreme with this move?

BERMUDEZ: You know, I kind of do, A.J. And you know, we poll people all the time on our show and also at "In Touch Weekly" offices. And here`s the thing. There`s just nothing sexy about writhing around at the bottom of a bird cage.

So I don`t know if she`s really getting what she`s going for. But like Deborah said, the song is great. And also, you know, you look at Miley Cyrus and you want her to rely more on her talent than on the vampiness of the song. So I wish that she would do that a little bit more.

NORVILLE: Here`s the good thing. She`s not pole-dancing this time.

BERMUDEZ: No. Well, that`s good. That`s a start. Yes.

HAMMER: But obviously, a very calculated move of - really nothing is done at that level that`s not really well thought out.

All right. Let`s move on to the big news today that SHOWBIZ TONIGHT confirmed. Lindsay Lohan is going to portray legendary "Deep Throat" porn star, Linda Lovelace. Now, the producer of the show confirmed to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Lindsay`s all set. No word yet as of show time at least from Lindsay`s camp.

Deborah, you know, Lindsay`s got huge image problems. I get that she needs to move on with her career as well. But do you think taking this role, perhaps, is too extreme given the massive task ahead of Lindsay?

NORVILLE: This is a heartbreaking move in my opinion. We know Lindsay has got money troubles. We know that she`s got personal issues with the drug and alcohol problems. We know that she`s being sued for the one - drunk-driving situation.

I don`t think this is a good career move. This may be the only career move she felt she had. And I think it`s really heartbreaking.

HAMMER: Yes. Yes. There are not offers coming to her fast and furious. And this move - you mentioned some of the other things going on with her. This comes on the heels of Lindsay`s just released provocative photo shoot where she held a gun to her mouth. There`s blood spattered in the backdrop.

That didn`t go over so well. People think already she is just a train wreck. The photo shoot helped fuel that fire. Carolina, do you think Lindsay portraying the most famous female porn star in the world is just adding to the train wreck story line?

BERMUDEZ: No. I may have an unpopular opinion here but I think this actually may be a good move for her because there`s going to be a lot of insurance involved with this project. She`s going to have to show up onset. This could add more structure to her life.

And let`s look at it from the big picture. Lindsay Lohan is a very talented actress. So this could be the one role that really propels her back into stardom or, as Deborah said, this could be a really, really bad move. So I think it`s one of those things where we just have to wait and see.

HAMMER: No, that`s a really interesting perspective, and yes, totally a wait-and-see. Well, I want to turn this over to you. I want to hear from you for today`s exclusive SHOWBIZ TONIGHT poll. We`re asking this - "Lindsay Lohan as Linda Lovelace: Good career move for Lindsay to play the `Deep Throat` porn star?" We`d love for you to continue to vote by going to CNN.com/ShowbizTonight.

All right. Let us move on now to Heidi Montag going to the extreme. It`s her brand-new quest for even bigger breasts. She had a brand-new interview out today with "Life and Style" magazine.

Heidi`s husband, Spencer, says the plastic surgery queen wants to increase the size of her breast implants, will go to Europe to do it with the cameras in tow, of course, for a new reality show they`re pitching. Deborah, I just think they both need to have their heads examined.

NORVILLE: You know why they`re going to Europe to do it? Because you cannot do it legally in this country. There is a limit the FDA sets - 1,200 cc which is - I did the research - five sizes bigger than your natural bust size. That is far beyond the A cup that she started, because this would be her third breast enhancement procedure.

HAMMER: So you`re saying a size H is not even legal if she has it done here?

NORVILLE: Not in America. No, she has to go abroad to have that surgery done. She has pushed Joan Rivers off the map in terms of plastic surgery. Joan is probably devastated about this.

HAMMER: Deborah Norville, this is why I had you in today. I was not aware of all the science. I`m taking notes . Trust me. This is great.

Well, this is what Spencer tells "Life and Style Weekly." He said if it were up to Heidi, her plastic surgeon would actually move into their guest house. You know, we can poke fun at this all we want.

But at a certain point, this extreme behavior, Carolina, is just so scary. I mean, Heidi needs H for help, I think.

BERMUDEZ: Absolutely. I agree with you. And also, this is a cry for attention. And I think that they`re addicted to that. And someone like Spencer in her life isn`t really helping her get any better.

I think this guy is just looking at her as a way to exploit someone. This is how they can hold on to their fame. And you know, they do have to go to Europe for it because nobody here is going to pay to see that, I don`t think.

So hopefully they`ll get some help. Both of them need it, I think, psychologically. And body dysmorphic disorder - I`m no doctor, but I think this is a clear case of it.

HAMMER: Yes. And here`s the sad thing. I really don`t think they`re in on the joke that this is becoming. But yes, it is also a very, very serious issue.

And if you need proof of how big a joke Heidi Montag has become as a result of having her 10 procedures in one day, watch what happened on "Live with Regis and Kelly" this morning.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PHILBIN: Wake up my little pop star. Are you ready to see your new look? Oh, my. Oh, I`m going to take it off. Yes.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: So just who was underneath all those bandages, anyway? Carolina Bermudez, Deborah Norville, don`t move a muscle. We`re about to reveal the answer.

But Deborah, first I have to ask you about this special report you`ve got coming up on "Inside Edition" on Thursday, and I can`t wait to see this picture. On this special, it`s showing how you spent the day as a flight attendant with Frontier Airlines.

NORVILLE: That`s me. Yes.

HAMMER: Look at you. How comfortable was this?

NORVILLE: I went through flight training. I served the beverages. I did the seatbelt thing. We did this story - it will be on Thursday on "Inside Edition" - to show people 90 percent of what flight attendants worry about is security-related. And where did they catch the bomber? He was on the plane.

HAMMER: That`s right.

NORVILLE: Flight attendants had a role to play.

HAMMER: Was that the biggest thing that surprised you of what you learned (UNINTELLIGIBLE)?

NORVILLE: Absolutely. And here`s some take home for all your viewers. Eighty percent of the people who have looked at that card in the seat back, the safety card, successfully get out when there`s an emergency, so look at the card.

HAMMER: That`s true. And many times do you not look at the card, Deborah Norville? Because you fly all the time.

NORVILLE: I`m going to look at it every single time.

HAMMER: There you go. Deborah Norville, it`s great to be with you. And good luck with that special on Thursday.

All right. Let me turn it over to you. What do you think of Lindsay, Miley and Heidi going to extremes? I want to hear from you and I want to hear and see your video opinions. So please send me a SHOWBIZ iReport.

To do it, just grab your cell phone cam, web cam. All you have to do is make us a 30-second video. Surf on over to CNN.com/ShowbizTonight. Send us your iReport. I`d love to put it right here on the show.

Whoever said Kate Gosselin`s dancing days are over? Don`t know a thing about Kate. The dancing diva`s dance shoes are packed, because, yes, Kate is coming back to "Dancing with the Stars."

I`m thinking Kate could probably pack some sexy swimsuits, too, because I`m about to give you Kate`s top secrets to keeping her post dancing body looking so good.

Startling news today about Sarah Palin`s daughter and the father of her baby, Levi Johnston. But will it mean the end to Levi`s Sarah Palin- bashing? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: "American Idol" ratings fall to historic lows. "Billboard" magazine names Kelly Clarkson most successful "American Idol."

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with big Kate Gosselin news breaking today. Kate`s big return to "Dancing with the Stars."

Kate says that she misses her dancing shoes and she`s revealing today she is returning to the show. The famous mother of eight also revealed today her secrets to keeping her weight down.

Right now in Hollywood, Maria Menounos, who is a special correspondent for "Access Hollywood." Also in Hollywood is Lauren Sanchez who is a weekend co-host for "Extra."

Well, we all know "Dancing with the Stars" has not been the same without Kate. But never fear - Kate reveals in her brand-new blog today she is going back to the show after playing a little "Dancing with the Stars" dress up with her eight kids. And who doesn`t do that at home?

She writes this on her blog, "Suddenly, I missed everything about dancing. I think there better be one more dance left with me. Get ready for the `Dancing with the Stars` finale on May 24th and 25th. I`ll be there."

Personally, I think it`s a little surprising that Kate misses the show given how much she got slammed on it. Maria, I`ve got to ask, do you think that Kate misses the dancing or given everything we`ve come to know about Kate, she`s kind of missing all the attention she was getting?

MARIA MENOUNOS, SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT, "ACCESS HOLLYWOOD": I think she`s missing a little bit of both. If you see "Us Weekly" this week, she`s, you know, in a midriff, you know, sports bra and running pants. And she`s running, showing off her dancing body.

And then, at the same time, she`s got to be missing the attention, even though it was negative. I think that - I think she`s missing a little bit of both.

HAMMER: I mean, let`s face it. All the attention she was getting towards the tail end of "Jon and Kate Plus 8" - that wasn`t good attention either. But she was out there all the time.

And you can`t ignore the fact that "Dancing with the Stars" ratings have been down since Kate was kicked off the show. Lauren, do you think the show misses Kate as much as Kate misses the show?

LAUREN SANCHEZ, WEEKEND CO-HOST, "EXTRA": Well, do the math. Kate Gosselin brought the biggest ratings "Dancing with the Stars" has ever seen. I mean, they even beat "American Idol."

And the producers know whether you love Kate or hate Kate, you`re going to watch Kate. That`s why they`re bringing her back at the end of May for the finale.

HAMMER: Yes.

SANCHEZ: And you know what? It`s a win-win situation for both sides. They love her for the ratings. She loves the attention. And she`s got nine mouths to feed - eight kids and one ex-husband.

HAMMER: It`s worked out for her on many levels. You know, she may not be a great dancer, but she`s definitely in great shape. I mean, have you seen her? Her brand-new blog also reveals how she`s keeping this weight off.

Here`s what she writes today, "I have resumed running daily and have smiled as I`ve reunited with an `old` friend, my treadmill. As always I feel right where I belong as I once again run the daily routine for and with the kids."

Always mentioning those kids. With all the emphasis "Dancing with the Stars" puts on looks and looking good, Maria, do you think that Kate`s actually feeling pressure that, "Hey, I`ve gotten to this point, I can`t go back now?"

MENOUNOS: Well, I think there`s definitely pressure. There was always pressure for her on the show, because let`s face it, she stank. So I think that she not only wants to come back with a rocking body, but I really hope that she takes this time and takes as many dance lessons as possible and just blows it out of the park.

HAMMER: Yes. Wouldn`t that be something? All right. Let`s move on now because there`s another big story just in today. Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston bury the hatchet. Yes. Brand-new reports today say Levi has paid his child support debts to Bristol and she`s letting him visit their son whenever he wants.

That`s big news. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT was right there last night with Bristol Palin and the whole Palin family. They were in New York City at this big gala honoring "Time" magazine`s 100 most influential people.

Now, of course, Levi was nowhere in sight. We expected that. But Lauren, I`ve got to ask, now that he and Bristol seem to be in a good place, can we actually believe - do you actually think maybe Levi will stop all the Sarah Palin bashing he`s been doing?

SANCHEZ: No. You have to remember this kid is like a dog who basically gets rewarded for bad behavior. And bashing the Palins is his meal ticket. I mean I don`t think anyone really cares if he bashes Conan O`Brien.

But to his credit, I have to say, you know, that`s his meal ticket and he`s using some of that money. "Extra" has learned he`s actually made two consecutive child support payments in a row. So that`s really good.

And also, I also heard that they`re going to have a mediation in the next month to actually work out the rest of their kinks in their custody battle.

HAMMER: Oh, well, that would be a good thing, but how ironic. He bashes Sarah Palin, makes money and then pays his child support. Oh, life is strange, isn`t it? Maria Menounos, Lauren Sanchez, thank you so much, guys.

We move on now to a Speidi surprise. Why in the world are Regis and Kelly dressing up like Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag? And they went all the way - 10 plastic surgeries in all.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PHILBIN: Wake up, my little pop star. Are you ready to see your new look? Oh, my. How do you feel? Oh, I`m going to take it off, yes.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: We are unwrapping the bandages and revealing the shocking Speidi surprise. And yes, I`m going there. Could what`s under wraps actually be a hint for Heidi and what her future face could look like? I`m just saying.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: ABC expanding "Lost" series finale episode to 2 1/2 hours. Disney star Demi Lovato "totally fine" after crashing her car in L.A.

HAMMER: And now the SHOWBIZ salute to moms - celebrities paying tribute to mothers as we count down to Mother`s Day this Sunday, May 9th.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT one-on-one with "Iron Man 2" star, Gwyneth Paltrow. Now, when Gwyneth won the Oscar in `98 for her role in "Shakespeare in Love," the first person she thanked was her mother Blythe Danner. Now that Gwyneth is a mom herself, she says she shares an even stronger bond with Blythe.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GWYNETH PALTROW, ACTRESS: Happy Mother`s Day, Mom. I wish you a very happy Mother`s Day. You are a wonderful woman and you`re a wonderful mother, but you`re an even better grandmother. So on behalf of my children, Happy Mother`s Day, too, as well. We all love you.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Well, can you believe it? Someone actually wants to look like Heidi Montag. Did you see this? Kelly Ripa as Heidi Montag and it didn`t take her 10 plastic surgeries to do this.

Check out Regis Philbin as Heidi`s husband, Spencer. Regis and Kelly have been dressing up all week. It`s part of Regis and Kelly`s halfway to Halloween week. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Spencer was busy working on his next project, prepping Heidi to become the next big pop star.

PHILBIN: Heidi. Heidi, I know you want to be a pop star. And since this is last season of "The Hills," we have to do something to keep our names in the press. You know, we`ve got to stay out there. So I`ve got an idea. Yes, you`re going to have a ton of plastic surgery.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: But Heidi wasn`t sure about Spencer`s approach to pop stardom and had a few ideas of her own.

KELLY RIPA, CO-HOST, "LIVE WITH REGIS AND KELLY": Spencer, why do I need more surgery? Can`t we just start a rumor about somebody or fake a breakup or have a baby? Something?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Spencer let her speak her mind, but as usual he found just the right words to get what he wanted.

RIPA: Well, why didn`t you say so? If our psychic intuitive healer said to do it, then what are we waiting for? Make me a pop star.

PHILBIN: Heidi, Heidi, wake up, my little pop star. Are you ready to see your new look? Oh, my. Oh, I`m going to take it off, yes. Oh, no.

JOAN RIVERS, ACTRESS: Spencer. Spencer. Did it work, Spencer? How do I look?

PHILBIN: I think it did, yes. Absolutely.

RIVERS: I had 10 procedures, 11 if you include the lobotomy.

PHILBIN: Look at that.

RIVERS: They took all the plastic out of my face. I could make a set of lawn furniture.

PHILBIN: You look great. You really do.

RIVERS: Good.

PHILBIN: Smile. They`ll be here. The guys are coming.

RIVERS: I am smiling.

PHILBIN: Come on in, paparazzi. Smile.

RIVERS: I am smiling.

PHILBIN: You are?

RIVERS: I`m (EXPLETIVE DELETED) smiling!

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: A little glimpse into the future perhaps? Can`t wait to see what those guys do tomorrow.

All right. Tuesday we asked you to vote in our exclusive SHOWBIZ TONIGHT poll. And just moments ago, the shocking final results. "Mistress Reality Show: Worst idea ever?" Well, look at that, you pretty much think so. Ninety-four percent of you said yes. Only six percent think this is even a possibility of a good idea.

The issue`s got you fired up, too. Look at this E-mail from Rebecca in New Mexico who writes, "We would be rewarding the celebrity mistresses for their behavior by paying it more attention than it is due."

One positive comment from Kaylay on our Facebook page, "I would watch only because it seems funny." Kaylay, I appreciate your comment on our Facebook wall. I`m thinking probably not what the producers were going for.

Well, that is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Thank you so much for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT now live 5:00 p.m. Eastern Monday through Friday. Don`t forget we`re still TV`s most provocative entertainment news show seven days a week at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific.
