THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

A.J. HAMMER, HLN HOST: Big news breaking today on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, Charlie Sheen`s jail job: Sheen`s showdown with a judge late today over how much time he should serve for allegedly attacking his wife. What did the judge decide? And is Charlie getting off too easy?

Sandra Bullock celebrates her ultimate revenge.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SANDRA BULLOCK, OSCAR-WINNING ACTRESS: Go back to making fun of me, I don`t care. It`s time to get back to normal.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: The remarkable cheers today for Bullock`s big coming out at the MTV Movie Awards. Bye-bye cheating husband, Jesse James; Sandra is smooching with Scarlett.

Are Gary Coleman`s death photos for sale? Disturbing reports today that someone may be trying to sell pictures of Gary`s dead body.

And the oddest couple of all, Elton John and Rush Limbaugh and wedding bells.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show starts right now.

HAMMER: Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.

BROOKE ANDERSON, HLN HOST: Hi there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today.

Sandra Bullock is back big time.

HAMMER: Yes, you got that right, Brooke. It seemed that no matter where I went today, all everyone was talking about was Sandra`s absolutely remarkable return to the spotlight at the MTV Movie Awards.

This was Sandra`s first big public night out since we all learned that America`s sweetheart was married to a no-good cheater who is having an affair with a tattooed stripper among others.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you there seemed to be little doubt today that Sandra`s finally -- finally putting all of this behind her once and for all. And Sandra sealed her return with a full-on lip-smacking kiss with Scarlett Johansson.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: In Sandra Bullock`s return to the spotlight at Sunday night`s MTV Movie Awards, she looked great, she sounded great --

BULLOCK: Paparazzi need more flattering lenses.

HAMMER: And she kissed great, as Scarlett Johansson found out firsthand. It was Bullock`s first live TV appearance since her husband Jesse James`s cheating scandal first broke.

In her acceptance speech for MTV Generation Award, Bullock jokingly refuted all of the tabloid rumors that swirled around her lately, including one that she was inconsolably depressed.

BULLOCK: No matter what you might have seen or heard or read lately, I love what I do. And I`m not going anywhere.

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT was right there at the MTV Movie Awards for Sandra Bullock`s grand return. The stars told us they were happy to welcome her back.

PARIS HILTON, ACTRESS: She`s America`s sweetheart. She`s such an amazing actress, and I just really admire her.

VANESSA HUDGENS, ACTRESS: I adore her so much. I mean, she`s so talented and such a brilliant woman. So I`m glad she is coming out.

Quinton Aaron co-starred with Bullock in "The Blind Side" the film that got her an Oscar he told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT he was happy to see her back on the big stage.

QUINTON AARON, ACTOR: What`s not to love about her? She`s America`s sweetheart for a reason.

HAMMER: And "Celebrity Rehab" host Dr. Drew Pinsky shared with SHOWBIZ TONIGHT his advice for Sandra.

DR. DREW PINSKY, HOST, "CELEBRITY REHAB": Look at how you got to where you were. Make some changes so you don`t end up there again.

HAMMER: The day before her MTV appearance Sandra made a surprise appearance at Spike TV`s Guy`s Choice event, which will be broadcast later this month. Bullock won the Troop`s Choice Award, which was voted on by members of the military.

BULLOCK: Did I win this for being entertainer of the year, or did I win this because of the spectacular IED explosion that became my personal life? Because I would do it over and over and over again if it was to entertain our troops.

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you Sandra Bullock is showing everyone this is how you bounce back from heartache.

BONNIE FULLER, EDITOR-IN-CHIEF, HOLLYWOODLIFE.COM: She didn`t want any pity. This was not a pity party. Everything that was said about her she dismissed and made funny.

HAMMER: The last time Sandra Bullock got this much praise was last February when she won her first Oscar for "The Blindside". But just days after sitting on top of the world, her world collapsed.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Some sad news people are reporting about Sandra Bullock.

HAMMER: Tabloids reported her husband Jesse James had affairs with multiple women. During the frenzy that followed, Sandra seemed to disappear overnight. It wasn`t until later that we found out that she just adopted a baby boy and was focused on raising him.

FULLER: She made an extremely wise decision to stay silent and away from the public until she felt ready to make her appearance and she had the right platform to make it on.

HAMMER: The other players in Sandra`s personal nightmare have already had their turns in the TV spotlight. Jesse James gave a confessional interview to "Nightline".

JESSE JAMES, SANDRA BULLOCK`S EX-HUSBAND: I still really love her and care about her.

HAMMER: And Jesse`s ex-mistress Michelle "Bombshell" McGee has been talking to everybody giving her take on the marriage she helped destroyed.

MICHELLE "BOMBSHELL" MCGEE, JESSE JAME`S EX-MISTRESS: Honestly, I don`t think the relationship is over.

HAMMER: But now that Sandra has taken the stage herself, she`s telling everyone it`s time to move on.

BULLOCK: Can we please go back to normal, because therapy is really expensive. Go back to making fun of me, I don`t care. It`s time to get back to normal.

HAMMER: And now that Sandra is back in the spotlight, she is giving Hollywood a much-needed lesson in class.

FULLER: She came out as a total class act. She`s been America`s sweetheart, she`s now even elevated to America`s royalty.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Yes, no kidding. Sandra Bullock is really such a class act. And perhaps she is gloating just a little bit today while her soon-to-be ex, Jesse James, sits on the side lines where he belongs.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has got to ask whether intentional or not, is Sandra getting her ultimate revenge? Hey, you couldn`t blame her, right? We are getting to the bottom of that at the bottom of the hour.

Big Gary Coleman news breaking today, is Gary`s death photo for sale? There are disturbing reports today that pictures of the former child star`s final moments may have been sold for thousands of dollars to a tabloid magazine. And what`s even more shocking, they may have been sold by Gary`s ex-wife, Shannon Price.

Right now in Hollywood is Carlos Diaz, Carlos is a syndicated radio host. With me in New York, is April Woodard, and she`s a correspondent for BET.

So we learned today that Shannon Price allegedly sold pictures of Gary on his death bed to a tabloid. Now, she has already been slammed quite a bit for what some say was a very cold 911 call in those frantic moments after Gary`s accident that ultimately led to his death and now this.

April, I`m thinking if she did sell these photos, how unbelievably despicable, and I can`t think of a single reason to justify it.

APRIL WOODARD, CORRESPONDENT AND HOST, BET: Yes, I can`t either. And you know, just to think that that your husband is -- or your ex-husband, which we found out that he is, is dead, and then you are trying to sell photos and capitalize off of it.

It`s just really disgusting. And it doesn`t help her at all because she`s already in the dark house. People already perceiving her and saying that there may be something deeper, her parents, the parents of Gary Coleman are saying they think that she may have had something to do and then although police have said, she had nothing to do with his death.

CARLOS DIAZ, SYNDICATED RADIO HOST: Yes.

WOODARD: But it certainly doesn`t help her case any.

HAMMER: Oh and I for once said something in her defense last week. I`m about ready to take all those back if this is true.

Now, everybody is upset about this. We are upset about it. Gary`s friend and former manager who had just named the executor of Gary`s estate, he is slamming Shannon.

Brooke, what exactly is he saying?

ANDERSON: A.J., Dion Mial sent an e-mail to CNN today commenting on the reports that she sold the pictures. He says this, "Knowing Gary, as well as anyone could have, I assure his closest family, friends and fans that his disdain for this behavior would be unquestionable and paramount to any foregoing profession of love for Shannon that might have ever poured from his lips."

And when asked today, Gary`s ex-wife did not deny selling the photos. Carlos, we just learned late today that "The Globe" bought the pictures. And listen, I think if she did sell the photos, it is sickening, it is disrespectful. And if "The Globe" prints the pictures, it`s going to be outrageous.

What do you think?

DIAZ: Yes, I think that we as the people need to take a stand here and not go to the Globe`s Web site, not buy a Globe magazine, stay away from these pictures. That way it`ll discourage magazines in the future for giving money for these photos.

And any woman who says that she cares about her husband or ex- husband`s legacy is full of it when the legacy is now going to be pictures of the guy on his death bed. I want to see pictures of Gary when he was on "Diff`rent Strokes". If you care about his legacy, sell those photos, get those photos out there, not ones where he`s on a ventilator.

HAMMER: Yes, you`re right Carlos, people just need to stand.

Well, as April mentioned, we actually only found out that they were divorced when he died. We all thought they were still together. They got divorced back in 2008 but in yet, another brand new shocker today, Gary`s ex revealed to "Good Morning America" that she and Gary were planning to remarry.

Take a look at this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PRICE: We were going to renew our vows soon, but our health issues got in the way, so were unable to do that. Every couple has their moments, and we had a lot of disagreements, but we loved each other. It was golden.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes, it seems to me, now this is raising all kinds of speculation and red flags.

WOODARD: Right.

HAMMER: It seems to me that Shannon, by saying they were going to remarry, maybe, tell me if you agree, she is teeing up some kind of battle over his estate.

WOODARD: Yes, it sounds like it. And you know, she also has some inconsistent statements because she was saying that he felt that -- Gary felt that he was going, his life was going to end soon.

So it just makes me wonder whether or not what side she is on, if she`s really telling the truth --

HAMMER: Yes.

WOODARD: -- because on one end she is saying we were getting ready to get married, on the other end, she is saying he was getting ready to pass away.

HAMMER: And what are the motives here and what`s going on.

All right, there`s also, big Charlie Sheen news breaking today. Brooke, what`s going on?

ANDERSON: A.J. there are shocking new details today in Charlie Sheen`s domestic abuse case, a highly-publicized deal for Sheen to plead guilty to charges related to a Christmas Day fight with his wife fell through.

Today, Sheen was back in Colorado to face a judge and present the deal his lawyers had reportedly worked out that would have allowed Sheen to perform community service with an Aspen theater during the day and spent his night in jail for less than a month.

But late today, the judge said no deal. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that Charlie is a free man at least for now. A court official tells us that he`s due back in court on July 12th. Sheen was smiling as he left the courthouse nearly two hours after he and his lawyer entered for Monday`s hearing.

So we`ll have to wait even longer to see if Sheen will actually go to jail.

All right, Kate Gosselin is many things, but is she bigger than the royals? The incredible new details revealed today from Kate`s bodyguard that keeping Kate safe in the spotlight is tougher than you might think.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

STEVE NEILD, KATE GOSSELIN`S BODYGUARD: I have looked after royal families, previous (ph) prime ministers, so I`ve looked after a lot of people in my time. And like I say, nobody has had the public recognition that Kate has.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Who knew Elton John and Rush Limbaugh were such BFFs. Elton John, gay icon performing at Mr. Conservative`s wedding?

And Tom Cruise too cool for school. Tom flexes his comedy muscles at the MTV Movie Awards, and he even got his booty smacked by J-Lo.

I think I want to see more of this Tom. It`s hilarious.

This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN News and Views.

HAMMER: Time now for the "Showbiz News Ticker": more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Well, all eyes were on Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson as they locked lips at the MTV Movie Awards, but was it the biggest smooch of the night?

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.

ANDERSON: Tonight at SHOWBIZ TONIGHT brings you the big kiss off. Sandra Bullock laying a wet one on Scarlett Johansson is the talk of the MTV Movie Awards. So will the kiss take the attention off Sandra`s marriage mess?

Right now in Hollywood it is Rachel Zalis, who is a contributing editor for "Life & Style Weekly". And Rachel, I`ve got to say when I saw that kiss, I viewed it as Sandra sending an indirect message, trying to take the attention off of her personal life and give people something else to talk about. Are you with me, and do you think she was successful?

RACHEL ZALIS, CONTRIBUTING EDITOR, LIFE & STYLE WEEKLY: Absolutely. And I love after the kiss she says, can we just get back to normal? I mean, I`ve got to tell you, Brooke, I love seeing Sandy come out there. She was gorgeous, she was gracious, and that kiss just showed that she`s sexy. She has the sense of humor --

ANDERSON: Yes.

ZALIS: -- that we know and love about her. And it`s also a way to say to Jesse, I can kiss a girl, too, and mine is much hotter than yours.

ANDERSON: She showed so much confidence. It was incredible to see her like that.

ZALIS: Yes.

ANDERSON: It was a light-hearted moment, it seemed like something out of a comedy, unlike when we watched Madonna and Britney Spears lock lips --

ZALIS: Right.

ANDERSON: -- at the 2003 MTV Music Awards. Let`s take a flash back to that. Because I want to ask you this, Rachel, it is our big burning question. Did Sandra and Scarlett`s kiss trump, did it topped Madonna and Britney`s kiss?

ZALIS: Absolutely. Well, this is the thing, when Madonna and Britney kissed, that was like so surprising --

ANDERSON: Yes.

ZALIS: -- and shocking and kind of sexual in this weird way. And it was very unexpected.

So I think that will always have a place in history. In a way now, two women kissing on stage is as common as ordering a latte. I mean, were kind of used to seeing it. But at the same time, I think it accomplished what they wanted last night. I don`t think they set out to be the new Britney and Madonna.

ANDERSON: No --

ZALIS: I think they wanted to show they were having a good time.

ANDERSON: It lightened the mood.

ZALIS: Absolutely.

ANDERSON: And I think definitely they did it. And there was a whole lot of lip-locking going on at the MTV Movie Awards. The "Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart finally had a public display of affection after being so coy about their romantic status since the "Twilight" movies first started.

They won the award for best kiss and tried to reenact their chemistry. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KRISTEN STEWART, ACTRESS: So I guess the thing to do is, like, we are supposed to kiss each other. We probably shouldn`t do this, right?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Rachel, very quickly, does this kiss prove once and for all that, yes, they are an item?

ZALIS: I kind of think so because they have been so coy the last few years.

ANDERSON: Yes.

ZALIS: And it seemed very planned the part where they were going to pretend to do this kiss, but at the end, he really plants one on her --

ANDERSON: He really laid it on her, yes.

ZALIS: -- and she seemed genuinely surprised and scampered right off the stage with her tail between her legs thinking, thinking oh, my gosh, the cat is out of the bag.

ANDERSON: I think all those Twilighters and Twi hards are so happy to finally see that.

ZALIS: Absolutely.

ANDERSON: Finally see that. All right, thank you so much, Rachel.

And you know MTV did not have the market cornered on kissing controversy. Miley Cyrus sparked a whole uproar over an onstage kiss with one of her female back dancers.

Now Miley is speaking out about the whole lip-locking scandals. So why are Miley`s words causing a brand new controversy today?

Rachel Zalis, stay right here.

HAMMER: Sandra`s ultimate revenge, and Sandra`s big coming out at the big MTV Movie Awards.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BULLOCK: Can we please go back to normal, because therapy is really expensive. Go back to making fun of me, I don`t care.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Is this Sandra`s final revenge for her no-good cheating husband Jesse James?

Seinfeld`s unbelievable $3 billion dollar payday, I`m talking billion with a "b". Wait until you hear the details today on how Jerry is making tons of money, even though Seinfeld has been off the air 12 years.

This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN News and Views.

Now, the "Showbiz News Ticker": more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Well, Rihanna is rocking a new look today. Did you see this? Rihanna just debuted her red hot hair at Spain`s Rock in Rio (ph) music festival. I`ve got to tell you, I`m totally digging Ri-ri`s (ph) her new do. And check out Rihanna`s outfit, it looks like she`s kind of channeling her inner Madonna here with the comb bra.

Still, Rihanna, obviously one sexy singer, I`m really hoping she keeps her cool-looking coif when she kicks off the U.S. leg of her "Last Girl on Earth" tour that happens in July.

Well, there was a big box office battle over the weekend, Brooke, and you were a part of it. Kudos to "Shrek" for holding on to the top spot for another week, yes, that big green Ogre is funny, but I`m a little biased. I think "Shrek" pales in comparison to "Get Him to the Greek" -- Brooke.

ANDERSON: Thank you. A J., you know, it is a great movie. And I`ve got to say I`m happy to represent SHOWBIZ TONIGHT in it. I`m psyched and very proud to say today A.J., that "Get Him to the Greek" is now the number two movie in the country.

HAMMER: And Brooke, obviously, your scene with Russell Brand is just hysterical, so a big round of applause for Brooke and "Get Him to the Greek`s" success. Obviously, you had everything to do with how well the movie did.

ANDERSON: Oh, I don`t know about that. Thank you A.J. But I will say that that -- I`m -- I was excited and very thrilled to take part in it. And I would love to do something like that again, if it should ever come my way. I had nothing to do with its success.

HOLMES: I am certain the scripts are piling up on your agent`s desk right now as a result of that appearance.

All right, moving on. There is a big battle happening today on the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook page. A lot of people are really fired up after news broke that the ladies of "The View" will definitely not be taking over for Oprah when she ends her talk show next season.

Still, we do have Teresa A. who was pulling for the view writing, "The View" has the diversity, intelligence and variety to fill Oprah`s slot.

Now, Angela H. is glad that "The View" won`t be getting Oprah`s time slot writing this, "All those ladies talking over each other, and what you can understand is mostly vulgar. They can`t replace Oprah. I don`t know how they lasted this long."

Well, we`re also getting people slamming "The View".

You can join the debate on Facebook and go behind the scenes of SHOWBIZ TONIGHT and also get breaking entertainment news alerts on Twitter. Call us at "Showbiz on Call" and of course, there`s always e-mail. It`s on call SHOWBIZ connects. And you can connect at CNN.com/showbiztonight.

ANDERSON: And now the SHOWBIZ lineup. Here`s what`s coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Sandra`s ultimate Jesse revenge: the incredible response today to Sandra`s big coming out at the MTV Movie Awards.

Elton John and Rush Limbaugh? Gay icon Elton performs at staunch conservative Rush Limbaugh`s wedding? What?

Tom Cruise, Jennifer Lopez, I`m thinking they could be on the next "Dancing with the Stars" with all this fancy footwork.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(JENNIFER LOPEZ AND TOM CRUISE DANCING)

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: I am thinking this is exactly what Tom should be doing really funny stuff.

This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN News and Views.

HAMMER: Here comes the "Showbiz News Ticker": more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BULLOCK: Can we please go back to normal because therapy is really expensive? Go back to making fun of me, I don`t care.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Now on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, Sandra`s final big victory. Sandra Bullock rocks the MTV Movie Awards. She is funny, she looks awesome. Is this her ultimate revenge on her no-good cheating hubby?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(JENNIFER LOPEZ AND TOM CRUISE DANCING)

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes, that`s really Tom Cruise. Yes, he`s really funny. Should Tom reinvent himself as a comedian?

And Elton John, performing at Rush Limbaugh`s wedding?

Plus, more stories breaking today from the "Showbiz News Ticker". Jennifer Lopez and Mark Anthony`s big surprise and some scary moments on Pink`s tour.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It`s 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today. Sandra`s ultimate revenge?

HAMMER: There was --

ANDERSON: There was nothing but cheers today, A.J., for Sandra Bullock because she quite possibly may have gotten the ultimate revenge on Jesse James for not only winning the MTV Generation Award at the MTV Movie Awards last night, but for making a killer speech, being downright funny, and let`s face it, she looked hot.

Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BULLOCK: Thank you. Sit down.

We are on a time limit here, people. It is live. We are on live television.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: How do you not love Sandra Bullock?

Joining me right now from Hollywood is Carlos Diaz, he`s a syndicated radio host. And with me in New York is April Woodard, who`s a correspondent and a host for BET.

Everywhere you go, everybody is buzzing today about how Sandra Bullock took the stage and basically on one fell swoop she made it very clear, it is time for everyone to move on past the scandal over her husband, Jesse James, cheating on her.

And she cleared up any lingering speculation that may have been floating around that she was quitting Hollywood. Take a look at this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BULLOCK: No matter what you might have seen or heard or read lately, I love what I do. And I`m not going anywhere.

Can we please go back to normal, because therapy is really expensive? Go back to making fun of me, I don`t care. It`s time to get back to normal.

And I think when we all go to bed tonight, we should think about all of the people that are being affected in the Gulf and just say a prayer for them and hope that everything is going to be ok.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: All right. I want you to picture this. Let me paint the image for you. I`m thinking Jesse James was sitting alone perhaps on the floor of some dark room eating from a can of Spam and watching Sandra hotter and funnier than ever. And he was just kind of freaking out.

Carlos, are you with me? Sandra has got the ultimate revenge here.

DIAZ: A.J., I`m glad you used the word hot. All right, Brooke used it, too. I`m tired of people saying, "Oh, she looks stunning. She looked glowing." No, she was smoking hot, all right.

My guy friends are calling me last night, going dude, look at Sandra Bullock, she`s smoking hot and she looked amazing.

And you know what, that`s live TV, and she nailed it. I mean, that is the A, the ultimate revenge and B, the ultimate, like notice of, "Hey, I`m back. I never left. I`m ultra-talented, and I`m amazing."

Sandra Bullock, two thumbs up, I love you, and you are hot.

HAMMER: Yes, very hot, I mean, look at her, look at her right there. Look at that smile, unbelievable. And I don`t think I`ve ever seen a celebrity who was tangled up in such a big scandal come out so clearly on top. Sandra is back, she is better than ever, and SHOWBIZ TONIGHT was right there.

Of course, on the -- and these red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards, everybody was telling us about how quite simply Sandra rocks. Take a look.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PINSKY: I think she needs to hold her head up high, move forward, she`s made some very important choices for herself that seem good for her. She`s even joking out here, about what happened to her. And that`s very healthy.

HILTON: Everyone loves her. She`s America`s sweetheart. She`s such an amazing actress, and I just really admire her.

HUDGENS: I adore her so much. I mean, she`s so talented and such a brilliant woman. So I`m glad she`s coming out.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I actually agreed with something that Paris Hilton said for once.

April, are you with me that Sandra`s amazing appearance at the MTV Awards, it really was like her final big victory, sort of an ultimate revenge for the horrendous behavior of Jesse James.

WOODARD: Absolutely. And the thing about it is when you go through something like this, you want to come back, you want to look hot, you want to look good, you don`t want a hair out of place. And she nailed it, she really did.

On top of that, she`s a class act. In addition, she did it on her own terms. So when she was ready --

HAMMER: Yes.

WOODARD: -- when the moment was right for her, she nailed it and came out and just glowed on stage. I mean, anybody would want to kiss her.

HAMMER: Yes, well, yes, that`s true. And that`s a really good point, because you remember when the scandal first broke, everybody was saying, should she come out and say something.

WOODARD: Right.

HAMMER: All along well, we were saying, no, let her do it in her own time.

WOODARD: Yes.

HAMMER: And she really did it perfectly because I think it was coming from a very genuine place.

Now, of course, even the ladies of "The View" were celebrating all that is Sandra today on their show.

And in fact, this morning on "The View" HLN`s own Joy Behar kind of tackled, said Sandra kind of tackled the scandal in the best possible way, just like April just said. Take a look.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOY BEHAR, HLN HOST: She is funny, and she is doing it with humor. And that`s the best way.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes, yes.

BEHAR: She is also not the perpetrator, let`s face it. He`s the jerk, not her.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes, so Brooke, I mean, you can`t argue with our own Joy. We already know Jesse is a huge jerk, but after last night, I really think that the contrast between her and him, you know, it`s never been greater.

ANDERSON: Yes, there`s no comparison, A.J. she showed grace. She showed humility. She showed a sense of humor. She showed compassion, asking everyone to pray for those suffering in the Gulf. She`s a caring individual, unlike Jesse James.

It`s clear that she is strong, she is resilient --

HAMMER: Yes.

ANDERSON: -- and she is a survivor. I was grinning from ear to ear watching her, rooting her on. It was so nice to see her on stage.

HAMMER: So nice.

All right, let`s move on to another star who is rocking it. And it`s another big story making news today; Tom Cruise`s outrageous, crass and hilarious spoof at the MTV Movie Awards last night playing producer Les Grossman. Of course, that`s the same character he played in "Tropic Thunder".

Watch this great scene, he does it with Will Smith`s 11-year-old son who of course, is starring in the remake of "The Karate Kid".

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TOM CRUISE, ACTOR: Do you think I`m playing? You are in my world now. You can`t get by in this movie with your oily Hollywood charm and your little winged prison corn rows. You make me sick.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Come on, he`s 11.

CRUISE: I don`t care if he`s 10. We`re talking about my karate kid here. Can I touch your hair? That`s my karate kid. Yes.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Can I break it?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes, finish it.

CRUISE: Finish it.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: That`s great, yes, nice.

After Sandra Bullock, I just think Tom Cruise stole the show. And now Tom reveals today there may actually be a movie made based on his crazy character, Les Grossman.

Hey Carlos, I`m thinking forget the movies, Tom needs to reinvent himself as a comedian or do more comic parts for sure.

DIAZ: Well, aside from the money and the power, and the money and the power, yes, I think he was amazing. He was the highlight of the show. I mean, if you didn`t have Sandra Bullock on, we could talk about Tom Cruise all day long.

I mean, the dance number at one point I thought, that`s got to be a professional dancer dressed up as Les Grossman. Because there`s no way Tom Cruise jumps off the top of the stage onto a trampoline and then on to the stage and then flawlessly goes into a dance with Jennifer Lopez --

HAMMER: Yes.

DIAZ: -- and does a booty smack and all of this. He was amazing. I mean, it was the best I`ve ever seen Tom Cruise on stage ever.

HAMMER: Well, let`s take a look at that. It`s Tom Cruise, his spectacular and unexpected dance number that he did with J-Lo at the MTV Movie Awards. It`s unbelievable. Roll that, Chris.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(JENNIFER LOPEZ AND TOM CRUISE DANCING)

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Very quickly, April, I think -- I think, "Dancing with the Stars" has its new power couple.

WOODARD: Oh, absolutely. It`s for sure. He was awesome. He was so funny. It was great to see him back as Mr. Grossman.

HAMMER: Yes, he is on top of the world. Way to go.

All right, April Woodard and Carlos Diaz, thank you, guys.

ANDERSON: All right. I cannot believe this today. This can`t be right, but it is. Elton John performing at Rush Limbaugh`s wedding. One of the gay community`s biggest icon singing for one of the most conservative radio hosts out there, yes.

And Kate Gosselin is bigger than the royal family today? Kate`s bodyguard speaks on Kate`s brand new TV show.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

NEILD: I have looked after royal families, previous prime ministers, so I`ve looked after a lot of people in my time. And, like I say, nobody has had the public recognition that Kate has.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Kate also says she`s having a hard time balancing work and her kids. Should we feel any sympathy today for this working mom?

And the nearly $3 billion -- I said billion with a "b" -- Seinfeld payday today. Let me tell you, they can definitely spare a square now.

This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN News and Views.

HAMMER: Time now for the "Showbiz News Ticker": more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, newsroom making news today.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CAMERON DIAZ, ACTRESS: And the winner for best movie is -- "The Twilight Saga: New Moon".

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.

ANDERSON: A.J., Miley Cyrus fighting back today against the outrage over her kissing another woman.

And you won`t believe what Seinfeld has made since going off the air. It`s all making big news in "The Buzz Today".

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Seinfeld`s mind-boggling billions. So what`s the deal with Seinfeld? It`s just been revealed that the series has made an incredible $2.7 billion from reruns, which isn`t bad for a show about nothing. Time Warner, which owns the series, made the revelation at an investor`s conference, and it means Seinfeld is the most profitable TV show ever.

Jerry Seinfeld himself reportedly makes as much as $80 million a year from the reruns. Now that`s something.

Paying tribute to Michael: we`ve just learned that the Jackson family foundation will hold a Red Carpet celebration on the anniversary of Jackson`s death later this month. There will be performances honoring Michael, and it`s not just for the A-list. Tickets will be available to the public for $250 with VIP tickets on sale for $500.

Miley strikes back: 17-year-old Miley Cyrus has just responded for the first time to the controversy over her kissing a female dancer while performing on "Britain`s Got Talent". Cyrus has just blogged that she didn`t really kiss the dancer and says, quote, "It is ridiculous that two entertainers can`t even rock out with each other without the media making it some type of story."

Miley says, "Get over it, nothing happened. There are way more important things in the world."

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: All right, from Miley`s kissing controversy to the joining of the most unlikely pair. Get this, Sir Elton John, gay icon, sang at the wedding of conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh over the weekend to the tune of a reported $1 million.

With me right now in New York, is Ben Widdicombe, who`s a celebrity journalist and from Hollywood, Rachel Zalis, who`s a contributing editor for "Life & Style Weekly".

Rachel, Ben, I got to say, I could not believe my ears this morning when I heard that Rush Limbaugh asked Elton John to perform at his fourth wedding over the weekend. Rachel, were you as shocked as I was?

ZALIS: I mean, they say money can`t buy you love, but it can clearly buy you Elton John. I mean, this was the craziest coupling since Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito in twins.

ANDERSON: Yes.

ZALIS: Like they have absolutely nothing in common, and it`s really surprising that Elton John who is the most openly gay and flamboyant performer would want to be associated with someone like him. I just imagined him and Karl Rove sitting there singing "Tiny Dancer".

ANDERSON: Rubbing elbows together --

ZALIS: Yes -- it makes no sense whatsoever.

ANDERSON: Yes, I wonder if they sang -- if he sings "Saturday Night is All Right for Fighting" or something like.

ZALIZ: Yes exactly.

ANDERSON: You know, whether or not you think money was enough for these two to get past their differences, somehow they did manage to make it work. But today on "The View" Whoopi Goldberg said that maybe there is more to this story.

Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WHOOPI GOOLBERG, HLN HOST, "THE VIEW": I`m sorry, I won`t take a lot of money to perform, but I wonder if maybe this was Elton`s way of just saying, yes, I`ll come and it will cost you a little money, but yes, I`m going to be there because I`m going to witness you getting married. And I wonder if Rush said, you know what, why am I kicking this guy, why I`m kicking gay people`s butts. Maybe that`s what it is.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: All right. Well, I think, you know, you don`t have to agree with somebody`s views to spend time with them or to perform at their wedding. But, Ben, do you think that Elton was there to make a statement about gay marriage, or was there more to the story, like Whoopi said?

BEN WIDDICOMBE, CELEBRITY JOURNALIST: Well, you know, Elton John has a famously big tent. And he hugged Eminem on stage if you remember and Eminem is toxically homophobic. So certainly Elton has a little different kind of friends. You know, he does so much charity work notably for his HIV and AIDS Foundation, my attitude towards it if Rush`s million dollars can free him up to do more of his good work, then why not, take his money.

ANDERSON: Yes and if nothing else it sounds like Elton and Rush were able to find some common ground and be civil about their differences. Rush has great taste in music, obviously.

WIDDICOMBE: Yes.

ANDERSON: All right, I`ve got to move now to Kate Gosselin`s debut with her kids on their newly revamped family reality show, "Kate plus 8" for the first time, you guys, we`re going to hear what it was like protecting the fearless mom of eight. Kate`s bodyguard, Steve Neild says that Kate`s star is bigger than royalty. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

NEILD: I`ve looked after royal families, previous prime ministers, so I`ve looked after a lot of people in my time. And like I say, nobody has had the public recognition that Kate has.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: All right, Kate more recognizable than royalty? That surprises me. And I think Kate herself would say that probably would surprise her, but there is no question that Kate is stalked by the paparazzi daily.

Rachel, do you really think, though, that Kate is bigger than royalty?

ZALIZ: I mean, listen, she`s obviously very popular. Her show did great ratings. She basically walked across the floor on "Dancing with the Stars" and got voted back in.

But to compare her to royalty and to that level of fame is ridiculous. Shall we start calling her Lady Kate? I`m sorry.

ANDERSON: Look at that, I don`t know, when I asked you that question, you began by laughing. So I`m going to say you think it is a laughable concept.

All right, well, Kate`s bodyguard also says that people either love or hate Kate. And I can tell you that Kate loves her new career, but she does have some inner conflict about balancing it with her kids, and she talked about that.

But I`ve got to say, it`s really working for her right now by the looks of the ratings, just in late today, her back-to-back episodes attracted a whopping 3 million viewers apiece.

So Ben, I`ve got to think that Kate has to feel some sense of relief today that she can support her kids on her own.

WIDDICOMBE: Well, it is ok for Kate and of course, she has the right to make a living. I`m still concerned about the issues about the privacy of the children. Because I don`t think a 6-year-old can really consent to being on television. And certainly the older twins, they are just getting to the age where there are going to be concerned about their own privacy.

So it`s all right that Kate to be out there making money but I just wished she wasn`t using the kids in the way she does.

ANDERSON: All right, Ben Widdicombe and Rachel Zalis, thank you both. It`s good to see you.

HAMMER: Well, I was a huge "Destiny`s Child" fan, so when I heard these reports floating around today that the group may be getting back together, well, of course, I just had to send out the "Showbiz Truth Squad" to check is it out. Is a reunion really happening?

This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN News and Views.

Now for the "Showbiz News Ticker": these are more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: There have been some bootylicious reports out there today that a Destiny`s Child reunion is in the works. And I`m not talking just about the Beyonce, Michelle Williams, Kelly Rowland trio, I mean all of the women who were with the group at one time or another. So we had to send out the "Showbiz Truth Squad" to check this out.

Matthew Knowles, Beyonce`s dad and the original manager of Destiny`s Child tells us it isn`t happening. "Contrary to rumors online of a Destiny`s Child reunion, there are no plans for the group to reunite for a performance or an album." The rumors are false.

HAMMER: Brooke, I thought that would have been terrific thing; very, very cool. But never say never right?

All right. Moving on.

James Cameron speaking out today about the terrible oil spill in the Gulf; now Cameron`s put together a team of experts trying to come up with a way to stop the spill and make sure something like this doesn`t happen again.

In an interview today with CNN`s Jason Carroll, the "Titanic" director revealed that he and his team would be happy to do even more.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JAMES CAMERON, DIRECTOR: The group`s conclusion was there hasn`t been enough transparency here. We need to know more about what`s going on. They need to take more of an advantage of the engineering and science resources that out there.

Because look, as Americans everybody loves to get together and work a problem. Here we have a foreign national corporation that is working in a very non-transparent manner.

JASON CARROLL, CNN NATIONAL CORRESPONDENT: So what do you think is the next step?

CAMERON: Ideally for us the next step would be that the government agencies review our report and if they see any value there whatsoever, they put us in direct contact with BP on the one hand to work the immediate problem of stopping the oil at the source and they engage with the members of this group either individually or as a group to study the environmental impact with subs, with vehicles, with AUVs and so on under the surface.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Smart guy. Hope they are listening.

We have been getting a huge response to our exclusive Showbiz poll. Gulf oil spill: should Hollywood be doing more to help? 61 percent of you say yes; 39 percent of you say no.

We have this e-mail from Kim in South Carolina. "I think that Hollywood should absolutely get involved with this oil spill after getting involved with 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina. They should without a doubt help out."

ANDERSON: A.J., lots of calls into "Showbiz On Call" about this too. Pat from North Carolina thinks that stars shouldn`t contribute a penny to the cleanup.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

PAT, NORTH CAROLINA (via telephone): First of all, BP has more money than God. Why should the stars pay for their blunder? Let them pay. We pay at the pump. We pay all over. Let them pay. BP should pay for everything.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Thank you for your call, Pat.

HAMMER: And rest assured they will pay. I`m sure we will see to that.

That is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Thank you so much for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. You know SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is now live at 5:00 Eastern Monday through Friday.

HAMMER: And please do not forget, we are still TV`s most provocative entertainment news show 7 days a week at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific right here on HLN.
