(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.

ANDERSON: Hi, there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - brand-new Mel Gibson tape bomb shells.

HAMMER: Yes. What you are about to hear will frighten you and astound you. Now, "Radar Online" today released more recorded phone conversations of a man suspected of being Mel Gibson on an angry, breathless, threatening tirade.

And his former girlfriend, the mother of his love child, is claiming today that it is definitely her on the receiving end which is why SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that if the voice you`re about to hear really is Mel Gibson, not only is he done in Hollywood, he could also wind up getting arrested.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE (allegedly Mel Gibson): I`ll put you in a (EXPLETIVE DELETED) rose garden, you (EXPLETIVE DELETED).

HAMMER (voice-over): That may be the voice of Mel Gibson. And if it is, wait until you hear this. "Radar Online" released brand-new recordings today that reportedly captured a bitter argument between Gibson and his ex- girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you they are so disturbing, so vulgar, we can only play a small portion of it.

KIM SERAFIN, SENIOR EDITOR, "IN TOUCH WEEKLY": It just sounds like a crazy raging maniac screaming and it is really frightening.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (allegedly Oksana Grigorieva): You almost killed us. Did you forget?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE (allegedly Mel Gibson): the last three years has been a (EXPLETIVE DELETED) gravy train for you!

HAMMER: Oksana Grigorieva, who had a baby with Gibson, has accused him of punching her and breaking her teeth. Gibson has denied it. But in a brand-new recording released today we hear a man purported to be Gibson out of breath with rage, apparently threatening the woman in the recording, and the man appears to be admitting her.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (allegedly Oksana Grigorieva): You were hitting a woman with a child in her hands. You! What kind of man is that? Hitting a woman when she is holding a child in her hands? Breaking her teeth twice in the face. What kind of man is that?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE (allegedly Mel Gibson): Oh, you`re all angry now.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (allegedly Oksana Grigorieva): You know, you`re going to get to -

UNIDENTIFIED MALE (allegedly Mel Gibson): You know what? You (EXPLETIVE DELETED) deserved it.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (allegedly Oksana Grigorieva): You know what? You`re going to answer one day, boy. You`re going to answer.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE (allegedly Mel Gibson): What? What? Are you threatening me?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (allegedly Oksana Grigorieva): Nothing, nothing. I`m not the one to threaten.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE (allegedly Mel Gibson): I`ll threaten - I`ll put you in the (EXPLETIVE DELETED) rose garden, you (EXPLETIVE DELETED).

HAMMER: Police in Malibu, California, have already opened up an investigation into Oksana`s abuse claim. And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you these recordings, if they are Mel, would not only be a possible final nail in the coffin of Mel Gibson`s legendary career, they could help land him in jail.

SERAFIN: If he is on tape admitting that he hit her, and there is a domestic violence investigation going on, really bad news for Mel Gibson.

HAMMER: They have an eight-month-old child together and they`ve been in a bitter fight over custody issues. "Radar Online" began posting the alleged Gibson tapes last week. One of those previously released recordings purportedly features Mel Gibson using the N-word during an argument with a woman who Oksana Grigorieva says is her.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE (allegedly Mel Gibson): You out in public and it`s a (EXPLETIVE DELETED) embarrassment to me. You look like a (EXPLETIVES DELETED) on heat and if you get raped by a pack of (EXPLETIVE DELETED), it will be your fault.

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has not been able to independently confirm the identity of any of the speakers on the alleged recordings.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (allegedly Oksana Grigorieva): You were hitting a woman with a child in her hands.

HAMMER: And now, this bitter ex-couple may be fighting over the recording. TMZ reports Mel`s lawyers want Oksana charged with contempt, saying she leaked the recordings against the judge`s orders.

Oksana has reportedly denied leaking the recordings. And in an interview with SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, "Radar Online" creator David Perel (ph) told us today that he backs up Oksana.

DAVID PEREL, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND CREATOR, "RADAR ONLINE": Normally, we do not say who our sources are or who they are not. But in this case, we have put us on the line that we did not get the tapes from Oksana. She did not give them to us.

HAMMER: But the question of how the tapes got out may be moot. Today, "Radar Online" revealed to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, it will soon release more explosive recordings. And the damage to Mel Gibson`s career may have already been done.

SERAFIN: Word has just come out that he was dropped from his agency. Hearing this, I don`t think there is anyone who would pay any amount of money to go see any of his movies again without thinking about this crazy man who allegedly hit his ex-girlfriend.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Yes. Count me among them. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT reached out again today to Mel Gibson`s rep who never gotten back to us as of show time and has told before, quote, "We can`t comment due to the legal nature of the matter."

Well, these dramatic new developments in the alleged Mel Gibson tapes lead us to the "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint" today. Is Mel Gibson done in Hollywood?

Right now in Atlanta, Ryan Smith who is a host for "In Session" on our sister network, Tru TV. And right now, with me, in New York, April Woodard, who is a correspondent and host for BET.

Eight minutes of absolute rage on this second tape released today. And if that really is Mel on these tapes, Ryan, to the "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint," is Mel Gibson done in Hollywood?

RYAN SMITH, HOST, "IN SESSION" ON TRU TV: I think so. He`s about as close to done as he can get. You can put that career in the rose garden. And part of the reason why is because he has had comments before where he`s talked about Jews, comments where he`s assailed gays, and now, these other comments that are racially seemingly motivated, if that`s his voice.

But more than all that, the criminal threats here, the threatening behavior that`s coming in here is just stunning. And that`s the kind of thing that can end a career.

HAMMER: April, what do you think? If this proves to be Mel Gibson, and let`s face it, it sounds like Mel Gibson. We can`t confirm that. He`s done in Hollywood, isn`t he?

APRIL WOODARD, CORRESPONDENT AND HOST, BET: Well, you know, unfortunately, I have to say that no, he`s not done in Hollywood. And that`s because of the pattern that we see from a lot of the celebrities that get involved in bad situations and make very bad decisions and still come back and are still able to have a career.

Today, we just heard about Roman Polanski. And you know, he`s not going to get extradited. He admitted that he raped a 13-year-old girl and, you know, he is allowed to continue to go on and live his life.

HAMMER: I think this is different this time, though. I really think - especially on the heels of what happened four years ago this month. I think it is different. But if these tapes are the real deal, there is one specific part that I just found the most damaging especially since Mel Gibson is being investigated for domestic abuse. You`ve got to listen to this part of the tape.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (allegedly Oksana Grigorieva): You almost killed us. Did you forget?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE (allegedly Mel Gibson): The last three years has been a (EXPLETIVE DELETED) gravy train for you.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (allegedly Oksana Grigorieva): You were hitting a woman with a child in her hands. You! What kind of woman is that? Hitting a woman when she is holding a child her hands? Breaking her teeth twice in the face. What kind of man is that?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE (allegedly Mel Gibson): Oh, you`re all angry now.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (allegedly Oksana Grigorieva): You`re going to get - you know what?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE (allegedly Mel Gibson): You know what? You (EXPLETIVE DELETED) deserved it.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (allegedly Oksana Grigorieva): You`re going to answer one day, boy.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I mean, that is just astonishing no matter who is on the tape. That is just wild to have to listen to. Now, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT did confirm that Oksana Grigorieva has claimed that she is on these tapes.

Oksana`s reps claim Mel Gibson is on the tapes as well, though, again, Mel`s camp has not confirmed that it is, in fact, Mel. All right, Ryan. You`re my attorney on retainer tonight.

SMITH: Yes.

HAMMER: Given that police have already launched this domestic abuse investigation, how damaging could these tapes be as a part of that?

SMITH: Oh, incredibly damaging. First of all, he seems to have violated a restraining order that as out there. So if he did that, he could be looking at jail time. But beyond that, you just played a very interesting part of the tape, the part where he`s threatening to bury her in the rose garden. That is a serious criminal threat. And that could be punishable by jail time, but only is that (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

HAMMER: But admissible - admissible, Ryan? That`s the question.

SMITH: It could - that could be tough. That could be the challenge here. But police are already trying to subpoena these tapes to find out what`s on them. It could be used. You`ve got to verify that it`s Mel Gibson`s voice, so there`s a big process in this.

But A.J., the big deal is there is a restraining order. That doesn`t just mean you can`t walk up to somebody. That means you can`t talk to them.

HAMMER: Yes.

SMITH: You can`t call them. And he appears to have done that if that, in fact, is his voice.

HAMMER: Well, yes. And of course, the timetable would be called into question as far as that is concerned. But the tape released today follows the one released Friday when the voice of possibly Mel Gibson makes vile racial remarks. This morning, that got the ladies of "The View" just fired up. Listen to this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WHOOPI GOLDBERG, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": I don`t like what he did here. But I know Mel and I know he`s not a racist.

JOY BEHAR, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": Oh, really?

GOLDBERG: Yes, I do. He may be a bonehead, you know.

BEHAR: Well, that language certainly sounded racist to me.

GOLDBERG: You can say he is being a bonehead. But I can`t sit and say that he is a racist, having spent time with him in my house with my kids. I can`t say it. And so I really just need to say that.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Well, four years ago, after Mel`s anti-Semitic tirade, everybody was saying, to your point, April, that he couldn`t make a comeback. Yet, he has slowly been able to creep back. But I really see this as a game changer, because back then, the mindset was, wow, if he screws up again, then that`s it. And he has.

WOODARD: Yes. Bu how many times do we see celebrities go into rehab, go - you know, get detoxified and to say they`re sorry which he did back, you know, in "Passion of the Christ" time and say, "I didn`t mean to offend anybody," and you know - and then have a career. I just - I think we have to wait and see on this one.

HAMMER: I don`t know -

WOODARD: Plus, you`re not allowed to tape people without permission in California.

HAMMER: If two people are involved. Both people have to know, except we don`t even know it was taped in California which is a whole another issue. April Woodard, Ryan Smith, I do thank you both.

ANDERSON: Lindsay Lohan`s life in jail. Brand-new details just revealed today of what Lindsay`s life could be like behind bars.

And a Brangelina shocker. Angelina Jolie shares intimate new details today about her life with Brad and the crazy chaos that comes from raising six kids.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ANGELINA JOLIE, ACTRESS: We have this thing kind of first thing in the morning when we`re really, really tired. And we look at each other and wonder, like, "Are we ever going to get sleep?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: And the Barefoot Bandit just got busted. He is headed to jail. His life story could soon be coming to a theater near you. So SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dares to ask today, who should play the Barefoot Bandit on the big screen? Shia LaBeouf or maybe the Bieb? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

HAMMER: And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: An estimated 700 million people watched the World Cup final match. Jon Bon Jovi injures leg during concert, keeps performing until the end.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Well, love was definitely in the air this weekend. Carrie Underwood married her hockey-playing fiance, Mike Fisher. Guests say she looked amazing in Monique Lhuillier.

Carrie and Mike, not the only star couple tying the knot over the weekend. One of my favorites in the business, "The Office`s" John Krasinski, walked down the aisle with the lovely Emily Blunt. That happened in Italy.

Comedian Martin Lawrence married longtime gal pal, Shamika Gibbs in Beverly Hills. And NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony married MTV veejay, Lala Vasquez, in New York City.

A big SHOWBIZ TONIGHT congratulations to all the newlyweds.

And welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Brooke Anderson is in Hollywood. Brooke, what is it with all this talk going on - Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt adopting again? Help me out.

ANDERSON: A.J., it`s Angelina unplugged today about everything from her morning routine with Brad to revealing the truth about all those reports that they plan to adopt again.

In a brand-new interview today, Angelina Jolie opens up in shocking detail about life with Brad Pitt and their six kids at home.

Right now, in New York, is Imogen Lloyd Webber, who is the author of "The Single Girls` Guide."

Imogen, Angelina Jolie holding nothing back today about her life as a mom of six, and co-parenting with Brad. In a brand-new interview that first aired this morning on "Good Morning America," Angelina takes us right into the Pitt-Jolie kitchen. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOLIE: We pride ourselves on the fact that we`ve got it. We`ve got this.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Do you feel you`ve got it down?

JOLIE: Yes, we`ve got it. You get the juice. You get (UNINTELLIGIBLE) - we`re like bartenders. We`re like waiters.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Do they all -

JOLIE: We`ve got shoes going on and somebody brushing their teeth, and somebody getting somebody, and somebody put that down and stop screaming. And no, you have to wear that jacket. I can`t find the pink one. Please, just go out the door. You know, so - but it`s - we still I think are able to do it because we manage to have a great laugh.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Imogen, I`ve got to tell you, I have just one child, and some days can barely keep up. I`m thinking that people are going to be relieved to hear Angelina Jolie say that she struggles, too.

IMOGEN LLOYD WEBBER, "THE SINGLE GIRLS` GUIDE": I guess, on so many levels, yes. Of course, it`s very interesting timing, because she`s got a movie to promote, so suddenly, we`re getting all these snippets of information.

So yes, it`s always interesting the timing when you have these big celebrities doing it. But let`s face it, America knows, yes, she has got problems, but she`s also got housekeepers. She`s got nannies. She`s got drivers. She`s got trainers. She`s got chefs. I mean, the whole thing.

ANDERSON: Yes, she does have the money and she does have a lot of resources and she does admit that, as well. And you know, with all the chaos, all the craziness that they have as she described in the morning, you`d think that maybe they`re done adopting, maybe done with having more kids. But in this new interview revealed, Angelina says that they may not be finished yet.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOLIE: There`s no plans at the moment for more. But we always talk about it. We`re always open. We always have this thing, kind of first thing in the morning where we`re really, really tired and we always look at each other and wonder like, are we ever going to get sleep? But yes, we still love the idea of having more children.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Imogen, sounds like they`re not done yet.

WEBBER: They have to be absolutely crazy. I mean, why follow octomom and Kate Gosselin as role models? I mean, it`s completely ridiculous.

Children, at the end of the day - they need stability. They need to be in one place, which the Jolie-Pitt clan are clearly not, and they need attention. So I think they`ve got to be absolutely crazy to adopt more, especially with all the rumors about the non-marriage, as it were, and their relationship. I mean, there`s no smoke without fire.

ANDERSON: Unconfirmed rumors. And I do say it does seem like they are loving, doting parents.

All right. Really quickly, Imogen, I want to mention that we just got pictures of Jessica Simpson with her brand-new boyfriend, former NFL star, Eric Johnson, showing a lot of PDA.

Here`s the thing. He`s still married, in the middle of a divorce. Very quickly, do you think maybe they should hold off on the PDA until the divorce is finalized?

WEBBER: Well, first of all, they`re both 30, so they shouldn`t be doing it anyway. It`s completely ridiculous. You know, he went to Yale. He`s very clever. She`s not supposed to be fizziest drink in the fridge, so maybe they just ran out of conversation and got desperate and ended up kissing.

ANDERSON: All right. Imogen Lloyd Webber, thanks for your thoughts.

HAMMER: So Brooke, there`s brand-new reaction today about Lindsay Lohan`s controversial jail sentence. I`ve got to tell you, the overwhelming response on our Facebook page, "Showbiz on Call" phone lines is this - Lindsay got what she deserved.

ANDERSON: Yes, A.J. It was tough but we did find this sympathetic E-mail for Lindsay. Duree from Florida writes, "It is obvious Lindsay has issues and needs serious intervention. She is a kid. Let`s not rip her apart."

HAMMER: And Brooke, the "Showbiz on Call" phone lines have been ringing like crazy today. Roberta from Canada told us she thinks that they should throw the book at Lindsay.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

ROBERTA, CALLER FROM CANADA: I know that it`s easier said than done, but I think jail is the best thing for her. I know she doesn`t think much of the judge, but you know what? Give it 90 days, maybe a year, might even take a couple years. She is going to look back and she`s going to appreciate that judge, because I think this is something she needs.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Thanks, Roberta. Call us at "Showbiz on Call" and let us know what you think about this or anything else that is on your mind.

HAMMER: The "Showbiz on Call" phone lines are always open at 1-888-SBT- BUZZ; 1-888-728-2899.

All right. Naomi - she`s ready to testify. It`s the supermodel shocker everybody is buzzing about today. Naomi Campbell will take the stand in a war crimes trial. But will she keep her cool or go, you know, totally Naomi?

I`m so thrilled to see Barbara Walters back. She made a first public appearance since her heart surgery. She looks great. Today, in her own words, Barbara reveals if and when she is returning to television.

An Oprah movie, coming soon to a TV near you? Why Oprah Winfrey may be really mad about this. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Demi Moore tweets she`s doing master cleanse with hubby Ashton for "health reasons." Brad Pitt named hottest vampire, Robert Pattinson comes in second.

ROBERT PATTINSON, ACTOR (as Edward Cullen): If you ever touch her against her will again -

KRISTEN STEWART, ACTRESS (as Bella Swan): Don`t do this.

TAYLOR LAUTNER, ACTOR (as Jacob Black): She`s not sure what she wants.

KRISTEN STEWART, ACTRESS (as Bella Swan): Don`t do this.

PATTINSON: Well, let me give you a clue. Wait for her to say the words.

LAUTNER: Right. And she will.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: We introduced you to Paul the octopus on Friday. He correctly selected the winners for six consecutive World Cup semi-final matches. Paul even picked Spain to win it all. So I say Paul is the man - I mean, octopus. He was right, and Spain is the new World Cup champ. It`s the good life from here on out for Paul. No more betting for him, just easy retirement.

Barbara Walters is back after a scary heart surgery two months ago. Barbara Walters made her first television appearance on "The View" today. And look at her - she looked amazing. Listen as Barbara explains to her "View" co hosts what she went through. I`ve got to tell you, Barbara is one tough lady.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BARBARA WALTERS, CO-HOST AND EXECUTIVE PRODUCER, "THE VIEW": He saws through with a saw, like a crow bar. Saws the breastbone, OK? And then he literally reaches your heart, puts it in his hand - even though it`s still attached to your body, and attaches a new valve; in my case, an animal valve either from a pig or a cow. I was glad it was a cow. But I didn`t think the pig was kosher.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: I am so happy that Barbara continues to make a marvelous recovery. And I know that everybody is going to be so happy to see her return to her spot at "The View" table come September.

HAMMER: Nice going, Barbara. All right. More going gaga over Lady Gaga. A record-breaking 20,000 people turned out on Friday to see Lady Gaga in concert, live at the "Today" show. A lot of people had their cameras out, including our new furry puppet friend, Ted Krassdale(ph).

Now, Ted was right there on the scene with all the Lady Gaga fans, waiting to see Gaga perform when he filed his iReport.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TED KRASSDALE(ph): We`re here in Rockefeller Center. We`ve got Lady Gaga fans. What have you guys got here? You`ve created some kind of tent or something. You`re like in a little jail cell or something.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It`s raining, so we had to take duct tape and garbage bags.

TED KRASSDALE(ph): OK. Duct tape and garbage bag. Oh, my goodness, he`s creative. Sometimes, it`s (UNINTELLIGIBLE) awesome. Love this - what is that made out of, flowers, I guess?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes.

TED KRASSDALE(ph): I guess that`s obvious, right?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We came from West Virginia.

TED KRASSDALE(ph): Oh, my gosh. Just to see this?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes.

TED KRASSDALE(ph): Wow, that`s crazy, people are coming from across the world and countries - she`s from South Africa, I think.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes. We love her. Little monsters are faithful.

TED KRASSDALE(ph): Please. Please do. Thank you.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: No. Thank you, Ted, the puppet. Well, puppet, human, we want you to send us your iReports. Head over to CNN.com/ShowbizTonight so we can use them right here on the air.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer, coming to you from New York City.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - Lindsay`s jail life. It`s T-minus eight days before Lindsay Lohan must surrender to authorities and head to the slammer.

But there is big brand-new information today about just what Lindsay Lohan should expect while serving cold, hard time. One thing is clear. She better start getting used to 5:00 a.m. wake-up calls and really bad food.

Right now, in Atlanta, Ryan Smith, who is a host for "In Session" on our sister network, Tru TV. And right now, in Los Angeles, Shaun Robinson, who is a weekend co-host and correspondent for "Access Hollywood."

Ryan, Shaun, "People.com" revealed today astounding new information about what Lindsay can expect next week when she starts serving that 90-day sentence for violating probation.

Check this out. Lindsay is going to be thrown in a 12 x 8-foot cell. She will only be able to view the outside world through a teeny, tiny window. And because she is a celebrity, she`s going to be kept from the rest of the prisoners and will be totally alone.

And not only that, she will have to spend 22 hours a day in her cell. Ryan, that seems like way more alone time than Lindsay has ever had. How will she cope?

SMITH: Oh, she`s going to have a tough time coping. I like to tell people that when you talk about prison, any time in prison, even one day is very hard.

People don`t understand what it`s like to spend that much time by yourself. Now, she is lucky that she is not in general population, because she could really be in danger.

But here, she is looking at maybe two weeks, maybe a month. Even though they`re looking at 90 days, she could get a lot less time because of good behavior. But that time, she will have a lot of time to think about what she has done and how her life has gone.

And my hope is that that time will give her time to really reflect and say, "Hey, maybe I need to change my ways a little bit.

ANDERSON: Yes.

SMITH: So that I don`t have to do this again.

ANDERSON: Deep thoughts, Linds, deep thoughts. Well, you know, Lindsay`s got more to deal with than alone time. "People.com" says that she`ll only have one hour of recreation per day and just 20 minutes to eat at each meal.

And that brings us to our next astounding Lindsay jail fact. She`ll be eating a lot of hard boiled eggs. Lindsay will eat two hard boiled eggs for breakfast, a PB and J for lunch and some sort of chicken noodle concoction for dinner.

Shaun, this is a far cry from partying in the clubs and doing high-end shopping. How do you think Lindsay will deal?

SHAUN ROBINSON, WEEKEND HOST AND CORRESPONDENT, "ACCESS": Well, Brooke, actually, "Access Hollywood" reported these facts last week, talking about, you know, these 5:00 a.m. wake-up calls and what her breakfast will be like and the fact she`ll have like an hour a day to go out and make phone calls and all this.

But you know what? Personally, I think Lindsay will be just fine. I think that, you know, sometimes Lindsay finds it hard when she can`t get into a club, OK? I think that she is going to be just fine in her new surroundings.

Yes, it will be tough, but I think it will really teach her a lesson that this time, she needs to shape up and get herself together. And she should know that a lot of people out there really care about her and want her to get on straight and narrow.

ANDERSON: Yes.

ROBINSON: And I think this will give her - just alone time itself is probably going to be fine.

ANDERSON: Yes. Lindsay - Lindsay - speaking of clubs, I`ve got to say this, though. She is used to wrapping up at the clubs and getting home around 5:00 a.m.

ROBINSON: Right.

SMITH: Yes.

ANDERSON: But in jail, the wake-up call is at 5:00 a.m. I want to reiterate that.

ROBINSON: Yes.

ANDERSON: So it`s not going to be a fun deal. How bad is it, you ask? Well, let`s bring in the SHOWBIZ quote guy to read for us what people says Lindsay will have to endure every day at 5:00 a.m. Quote guy?

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

QUOTE GUY: Wake up for chow. Make your bed. Tuck your shirts in. Hands in your pants. I want my military line, with no talking.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Can you imagine, A.J.? You know, Lindsay Lohan can barely get up to make it to an 8:30 a.m. court hearing. I have to believe that she is going to have a hard time adjusting.

HAMMER: Yes, well, I`m actually with Shaun there, because, you know, Lindsay Lohan loves bars, so she is in exactly the right place. But there has been a lot of debate as to whether or not this is what can actually scare her straight.

And back to the point that Ryan was making a moment ago, sometimes it only takes a day in jail. The truth is, I think it can. You know, she has grown up with this enormous sense of entitlement.

In jail, there is no entitlement. Once that is stripped away from her and she sees what she has to deal with, I really think it will go a long way.

But I also think the more we look at her, the more I realize this is somebody with deep-seated issues and problems. And hopefully, the rehab afterwards and the counseling she`ll get is exactly what she needs.

ROBINSON: Oh, oh, me next.

(CROSS TALK)

ANDERSON: A lot of people are supporting her, yes. But I`ve got to say this, you guys, because today Lindsay is not the only one with big legal news. There are other big news is breaking in "The Buzz" today.

Naomi Campbell has got a date with a war crimes tribunal. And a shocker in Switzerland today - director Roman Polanski is a free man.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over): Roman Polanski, Swiss miss. Switzerland`s government has just made the startling decision not to extradite the Oscar-winning director back to the United States.

Polanski has been on the run, fleeing America, after pleading guilty to having unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl in 1977. Polanski has been under house arrest since last year. The Swiss say they can`t extradite, because the U.S. won`t provide confidential information related to the case.

J. Lo Cyprus backlash. Jennifer Lopez is reportedly being sued for $40 million by a Turkish hotel operator after backing out of a concert planned for a hotel and casino in northern Cyprus.

The show was planned for July 24th, her 41st birthday. But she reportedly got cold feet after realizing that the island of Cyprus is disputed territory between Greece and Turkey.

Naomi Campbell`s date with a war crimes tribunal. The supermodel has just agreed to appear as a witness in the trial of former Liberian president, Charles Taylor. Campbell was subpoenaed by the court to testify about a diamond Taylor allegedly gave her in 1997.

Taylor is accused of using so-called blood diamonds to fund his involvement with the bloody revolution in Sierra Leone.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

All right. I`ve got to go back to Roman Polanski, because I honestly could not believe that he was freed after all this time. The Swiss say, "Heck no, we`re not handing him over."

Ryan, I was shocked. I was appalled. I was disappointed because he raped a 13-year-old girl. He pleaded guilty to that.

SMITH: Yes. You know, I think a lot of us were shocked. I think the idea was, the U.S. had to file some information and they thought all it had to be was technically correct.

What surprised everybody was that the Swiss asked for information about his case which talks about the merits. Why hasn`t he just gotten credit for time served? That kind of stuff.

And they are able to then say, "We don`t want to extradite him." That`s their right. So basically, comes down this, Brooke. In Switzerland, there is a little bit less of a harsh attitude, given to celebrities like Roman Polanski, so they gave him a break. It was a surprise.

Now, here`s the thing. He can`t come back to America. There is an international warrant against him, and also, if I was his lawyer, I would tell him to stay out of the U.K. because the laws there wouldn`t be favorable to him either. But France, Switzerland, he stay. He can live. He`s free.

ANDERSON: Free on a technicality.

SMITH: Yes.

ANDERSON: I just - the girl was drugged. She was raped. I`m sorry. It`s just inexcusable. Shaun, what do you think about all this, and that people are so forgiving of what he did, and that it`s not punishable?

ROBINSON: Right, yes. I have to agree with you, Brooke. This - this has always been very disturbing to me. And you know what? I don`t care if the victim forgives him. I just don`t think that that should be the precedent.

ANDERSON: Yes.

ROBINSON: I don`t think that should be any reason why a judge, you know, doesn`t extradite, you know, a defendant.

ANDERSON: Right.

SMITH: Right.

ROBINSON: And it is disturbing to me. It`s disturbing to many women. And I just think, once again, you know, we give - you know, we forgive people if they are, you know, rich and famous.

ANDERSON: I know -

ROBINSON: And I just don`t think it`s right.

ANDERSON: And I think that is deplorable and it`s got to stop. I`ve got to get to that other explosive story today, actually, about Naomi`s date with a war crimes tribunal.

Naomi Campbell is set to take stand at the end of July at a war crimes tribunal and testify whether she took blood diamond from a brutal dictator, former Liberian President Charles Taylor. The big question, will the hot- headed Naomi loose her cool on the stand? Ryan Smith, Shaun Robinson, you don`t want to miss this.

HAMMER: Well, this Barefoot Bandit story is unbelievable. A teenager who is accused of more than 100 crimes, finally caught. So today, we are daring to ask, who should play this guy in a movie? Because, you know, Hollywood is going to make one.

Coming soon to a TV near you, revealed today, an Oprah mini-series? I`m not all that sure the "O" is going to like this.

And Snooki`s big crush on John McCain? You know, the "Jersey Shore`s" star`s type is usually guys with gelled big pecs, big, bold chains. Today, I can tell you she thinks John McCain is hot. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

LEONARDO DICAPRIO, ACTOR (AS FRANK ABAGNALE): Luc. Captain Luc - well, I`ve got to say, that sounds pretty official to me. But like I said, I think it`s just me and you here. Me and you, so you`re going to have to catch me.

TOM HANKS, ACTOR (as Carl Hanratty): Frank, Frank. You have to trust me on this.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: That was Leonardo DiCaprio playing cat-and-mouse with the police on the movie "Catch Me If You Can," just like the just captured Barefoot Bandit did in real life.

The teenager who is accused of tons of theft is finally caught and locked up today after two years on the run. So will his bizarre story become a movie, and if so, who should play him?

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson with A.J. Hammer in New York. And could the story of the Barefoot Bandit be coming to the big screen?

HAMMER: Well, actually, Brooke, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you there will be "Barefoot Bandit: The Movie." We can confirm today, that 20th Century Fox has indeed bought the rights to his life story, and of course, it was inevitable.

Nineteen-year-old Colton Harris-Moore was just arrested (UNINTELLIGIBLE) two years on the run allegedly stealing everything from airplanes to boats and cars and becoming a legend in the process.

Joining me today in New York is celebrity journalist Ben Widdicombe. And also with me in New York is April Woodard who is a correspondent and host for BET.

I`ve got to tell you, when we debated who should play the Barefoot Bandit in the movie, there were a lot of possibilities we had to examine.

Take a look at a few of the best ones I think we came up with. What about "Transformers" star, Shia LaBeouf. Maybe "High School Musical" star Zac Efron? I definitely think he could fit the bill. Or perhaps, a lot of people thought the hilarious Michael Cera who the starred, of course, in "Super Bad," could be great. Personally, I actually thought Zac Efron was a perfect pick for this. What about you, April.

WOODARD: Yes. I think Zac is perfect, because he has the mischievous thing, you know. He has been in the acting game a little while, so he`s done a little, you know - he`s got to get away from his "high school musical" and he`s trying to.

But you know, I kind of like also Jacob - I can`t think of his name right now. Oh, Taylor -

HAMMER: Taylor Lautner -

WOODARD: Yes, Taylor Lautner.

HAMMER: That`s an interesting choice.

WOODARD: You know, he has all the fans from the "Twi" movies. So, you know -

HAMMER: Yes. Well, you know, this is going to be made. Ben, who do you like for a pick to play the Barefoot Bandit?

BEN WIDDICOMBE, CELEBRITY JOURNALIST: Well, if I were allowed to have a write-in candidate, I would say Emile Hirsch, who`s basically (UNINTELLIGIBLE) into the wild. He`s just such a great actor.

However, of those four, I think that Zac Efron has the charm that you need to turn the crook into the kind of swashbuckling hero that I think Hollywood wants him to be.

HAMMER: Yes. And I know Zac wants to get away from the whole "High School Musical" thing. But I do want to throw this other wild card that I thought although it may sound a little off the wall.

But what if the Barefoot Bandit movie was made into a musical. And perhaps, maybe - and I don`t know. Maybe if not Zac, then Justin Bieber? It`s time to seal a plane and I`m going to steal a plane.

WOODARD: Justin is going through puberty. He needs to work on his voice right now, so he can`t do any acting. So he needs to have his voice changed.

HAMMER: Do me a favor. If I ever start to sing again on TV again, just reach across the desk and grab me and stop me. Let`s move on to another story making big news today. Supermodel Naomi Campbell all set to appear before a war crime tribunal.

I can`t believe this is happening. I know it`s not happening because she whacked somebody else upside the head with a Blackberry. Campbell has just revealed she has agreed to testify at the trial of former Liberian president and dictator, Charles Taylor, in the Netherlands.

Now, prosecutors say Taylor gave Naomi a diamond in 1997. They say it was one of those so-called blood diamonds sold to finance the bloody civil war in Sierra Leone.

Now, Ben, Naomi is not at all happy about this, and I don`t, in any way, want to minimize the seriousness of this trial. But I`m thinking, given her temper, she could actually lose her cool on the stand. And quite frankly, would not be surprised if she did. Would you?

WIDDICOMBE: Well, you know, I think that it`s less likely to happen in a setting like the war crimes tribunal in the Netherlands. If she were in a Los Angeles courtroom, for example, where prosecutors are more likely to badger her, I think they might want to make her lose her temper, because it`s more of a show.

But this is a fairly dry proceeding we`re expecting in the Netherlands. So I think she probably might be able to keep it together just this once.

HAMMER: Nonetheless, she is going to be in a situation she doesn`t really want to be in, April.

WOODARD: Right.

HAMMER: And she clearly has anger management issues.

WOODARD: Absolutely. She doesn`t want to be there. They`re having to drag her there. And I think that person needs to be able to duck, because some Christian Louboutins are going to be flying.

HAMMER: Yes. No kidding. No kidding. Well, the person, in turns out, who tied Naomi Campbell to this whole deal is none other than actress Mia Farrow who was with Campbell in South Africa when Naomi allegedly received the alleged diamond.

And Campbell told Farrow about it, receiving it from Charles Taylor. Now, Ben, nobody is saying Naomi knew it was a blood diamond, if it was. But I`m thinking, given her past, even this can`t be good for her image at all.

WIDDICOMBE: No, it can`t. But also, let`s bear in mind, Naomi hasn`t admitted she received the diamond. It`s not inconceivable that when she takes the stand, she could say, "You got it wrong. It`s not what I said. I`ve never received a diamond." So we have to really wait to hear from Naomi herself as to what happened.

HAMMER: All right. Well, he is going to lay down the law no matter what in the way only Naomi Campbell can. Ben Widdicombe, April Woodard, thank you, guys, so much.

ANDERSON: There is an Oprah Winfrey mini-series in the works today. And I can tell you that Oprah probably isn`t going to like this. A made for TV movie or mini-series is being made based on the unauthorized Oprah biography written by Kitty Kelly.

Larry Thompson is the guy working on the film. He has done biopics on Lucille Ball and Sonny and Cher. The movie should be out in September of 2011. And it`s no coincidence, that`s the time Oprah is signing off her show.

No word yet on who will play Oprah, but I can tell you, Oprah did not like this book when it came out. One of the controversial points from it - who really is Oprah`s father?

HAMMER: OK. This is pretty amazing to me. Listen carefully. Snooki has got a brand-new crush today. This guy does not have rock-hard abs and never really seen him all that tanned. Doesn`t wear tons of hair gel.

Why the "Jersey Shore" star thinks John McCain is totally hot. Yes, you heard me. I said John McCain. I hear he`s been known to do a fist-pump or two, so -

ANDERSON: Steve Carell`s "Despicable Me" number one at the box office this weekend. The 3-D animated film pulled in more than $60 million. Carell is the voice of the Gru, the bad guy who plans to steal the moon.

Of course, Carell also plays Michael Scott on NBC`s "The Office." And this Hollywood A-lister has got another big film on the way called "Dinner for Schmucks."

When we caught up with Steve, who was out promoting that movie, he revealed he has a man-crush on co-star Paul Rudd.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

STEVE CARELL, ACTOR: Paul is, and I think anyone will tell you this, is the sweetest guy you will ever meet. And he`s exactly what you`d expect him to be. And I know - it`s true. And I know - you know, I know a lot of women who feel exactly the same way. Are you OK? You seem upset.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You touched a chord.

CARELL: Now, you feel like crying. It`s true. He`s just such a great guy.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: He was blushing. So funny. "Dinner for Schmucks" opens July 30th. And this is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: LeBron, what`s your decision?

LEBRON JAMES, NBA SUPERSTAR: In this fall - (UNINTELLIGIBLE). In this fall, I`m going to take my talents to south beach and join the Miami Heat.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: NBA superstar LeBron James` controversial decision to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers and go play for the Miami Heat. This was one of the biggest, most played-up moments in live TV ever. And today John Mayer is making fun of it.

Did you see this? You`ve got to love John Mayer, trying to stick himself into the middle of the LeBron-a-thon. Watch as John spoofs LeBron in a brand-new video out today as he announces the days for his summer tour.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOHN MAYER, MUSICIAN: After giving it a lot of thought and careful consideration, I have decided that I`m going to play for Cleveland. So as not to offend my fans in south beach, I would also like to announce that I`ll be playing for Miami.

I`m also going to be playing for New York City. And so as not to leave my friends across the water in New Jersey out from watching my immense display of talent, I`m going to be playing for New Jersey.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: That`s good stuff, John. Nearly 10 million people watched LeBron James` decision on ESPN.

HAMMER: So I know you want to know what was the real reason Snooki voted for John McCain? Well, she thought he was pretty darn cute.

In a brand-new interview revealed today on "The Daily Beast" McCain`s daughter, Meghan, interviewed Snooks. Snooki recently got mad over a new tanning tax. McCain tweeted Snooki agreeing with her, and now, it seems these guys are best buds.

But surprisingly, Snooks, who has a thing for guys with gold chains and gobs of gel in their hair, says John McCain is her type, too, "I thought it was pretty frickin` awesome because I voted for McCain. So the fact that he actually acknowledged like what I was saying about the tanning booth, that was pretty awesome."

"And I`m really happy that he actually knows who I am. To be honest with you, I`m not really a Republican or a Democrat. I only know politics about, like, you know, tanning and being a Guidette. The only reason why I voted for your father was because he was really cute and I liked when he did his speeches."

ANDERSON: Great accent, A.J. OK. On Friday, we asked you to vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll. Just moments ago, we got those final results.

Lindsay Lohan reportedly looking to get as much as $1 million dollars for her first post-jail interview. So - "Lindsay Lohan: Would a tell-all interview with her be worth $1 million dollars?" Only seven percent of you say yes; 93 percent say no.

Here are some of the E-mails. Linda from Alberta, Canada, writes, "Tell all about what? That we don`t already know about this spoiled, little rich girl who got into drugs and booze and blames everyone but the right people (herself and her parents)?"

HAMMER: Brooke, I`m doing a whole show tomorrow night in that voice. Just warning you. That is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

ANDERSON: I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is now live at 5:00 p.m. Eastern, Monday through Friday

HAMMER: And back at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific seven days a week.
