BROOKE ANDERSON, HOST: Big news breaking today on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT - Whoopi`s war. Whoopi Goldberg on the warpath today with the so-called White House gatecrasher on live TV.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WHOOPI GOLDBERG, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": I make no, you know, apology for my choice words.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Supermodel madness. Naomi Campbell on the witness stand today at a war crime`s trial.

And Gisele Bundchen`s breastfeeding backlash explodes today with the front page challenge, "How dare this woman tell us how to raise our children."

Blockbuster "American Idol" news breaking today. The show gets a new boss and he wants Paula Abdul back on the show. The SHOWBIZ Flashpoint today - should Paula return to "Idol"?

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show starts right now.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

ANDERSON: Hi, there. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - Whoopi`s war.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is here to offer you some advice. Never, ever invite Whoopi Goldberg and the White House party crasher to the same party.

Whoopi spoke out today for the very first time about the explosive confrontation between her and Michaele Salahi live on "The View." Salahi was on the show to promote her new reality show, "Real Housewives of D.C." But she got a real reality check when Whoopi tried to put her in her place.

And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you today the war of words in the Whoopi- Michaele smackdown absolutely exploded.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over): "The View" has had its share of wars. Star versus Barbara. Rosie versus Elisabeth. Whoopi Goldberg versus the censors. But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you "The View`s" biggest war yet has broken out between Whoopi and so-called White House gatecrasher, Michaele Salahi -

MICHAELE SALAHI, CAST MEMBER, "REAL HOUSEWIVES OF D.C.": That`s an insult that I have an eating disorder.

ANDERSON: A cast member on Bravo`s brand-new reality show "Real Housewives of D.C."

SALAHI: I started crying. Whoopi came into the room and said, you know, "F this."

GOLDBERG: She knew I didn`t hit her.

NED MARTEL, STYLE EDITOR, "WASHINGTON POST": It`s a clash of the titans.

ANDERSON: Clash of the titans? More like clash of the crashers. Both Whoopi and Michaele hit the air waves this morning to give their sides of their explosive encounter on "The View."

SHERRI SHEPHERD, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": The infamous White House party crashers -

ANDERSON: Salahi was appearing on "The View" along with her fellow "D.C. Housewives."

ANNOUNCER: Mr. and Mrs. Salahi -

ANDERSON: The conversation soon turned to the White House state dinner last November where Salahi and her husband famously showed up allegedly without a proper formal invitation. The housewives quickly started bickering on "The View." And look closely at what happened next.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: That gives them the right to abuse other -

(CROSS TALK)

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Did you see that? We`ll replay it for you. Whoopi Goldberg, who wasn`t even in that segment, emerged from backstage and apparently touched Salahi`s arm.

MARTEL: It didn`t look like a true accosting. It looked like something like a space invasion.

ANDERSON: But that didn`t stop Whoopi`s touch from touching off a firestorm. Immediately afterwards, reports surfaced that Salahi claimed Whoopi had hit - yes, hit her on camera. And that later the two had a backstage blow-up.

SALAHI: Whoopi came into the room and said, you know, "F this. F that. Did you say I F-ing hit you?"

ANDERSON: On the "Today" show this morning, Salahi denied accusing Whoopi of hitting her, but she confirmed a backstage blow-up.

SALAHI: I know her from, like, the movie "Sister Act." So I don`t expect the sister to be saying "F you."

ANDERSON: This morning, on "The View," Whoopi denied hitting Salahi.

GOLDBERG: Here`s another camera that shows exactly what I did and what I said.

ANDERSON: As proof, Whoopi had her own Zapruder film moment, showing yesterday`s onstage brush with Salahi from another angle.

(CROSS TALK)

GOLDBERG: (INAUDIBLE) the White House please.

ANDERSON: And about claims she dropped the F-bomb backstage? OK. Whoopi is copping to that one.

GOLDBERG: So I went up to her, and I told her that she knew I didn`t hit her. And yes, you know how I said it. Choice words.

ANDERSON: And Whoopi says she even clashed with the other so-called White House gatecrasher, Michaele`s husband, Tareq.

GOLDBERG: I really went off then. And there`s even more choicer words. I mean, they were so choice you could have cut them with a knife and eaten them.

ANDERSON: Today, the Salahis are on the warpath against "The View" and anyone one else who calls them the C-word.

SHEPHERD: Crashers.

ANDERSON: Their attorney tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT "The View" hosts defamed the Salahis by constantly referring to them as "the White House crashers." This morning, "The View" hosts read a disclaimer.

ELISABETH HASSELBECK, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": Michaele`s lawyer sent us a statement last night insisting that both the Salahis did not crash the White House party, that they were, in fact, invited to the party and pointing out that they have not been charged with any crime.

ANDERSON: Is it us, or did that not quite seem like a heartfelt mea culpa? "The View" told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT they`re not going to talk about this mess anymore.

As for the Salahis, you can bet a couple willing to parlay a major White House security breach into a reality show gig will think about nothing about using their battle with Whoopi to extend their 15 minutes of fame.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: My, my, my, my. So is this the beginning of an all-out war of Michaele Salahi against - well, against the rest of the world? Which brings us to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - are you on team Whoopi or team Michaele?

Right now, in New York, Ereka Vetrini who is the senior editor for "In Touch Weekly." And right now, in Hollywood, Tanika Ray who is an entertainment journalist. Tanika, team Whoopi or team Michaele?

TANIKA RAY: Whoopi! Come on. This is ridiculous. Just when you thought Michaele Salahi was going to go away and be in this little reality show, and we`re going to kind of forget the party crashing, now, she wants to accuse Whoopi of hitting.

Come on, girl. She was the drama cheerleader in high school. Can`t you tell that right now? It`s like, shut your mouth. Have your reality show.

(CROSS TALK)

ANDERSON: She didn`t say that she hit her, but it shook her up, that Whoopi -

RAY: I thought that Whoopi was touching her -

ANDERSON: No, but Michaele didn`t say - she kind of backtracked on that a little bit. Yes.

RAY: She needed to. There`s so much tape she looks ridiculous saying Whoopi hit her.

ANDERSON: Don`t you love, though, how Whoopi couldn`t help herself?

RAY: Of course.

ANDERSON: She was like, what, they`re talking about the Bravo show. She had to come out from backstage -

RAY: Absolutely.

ANDERSON: And say, "Move on, sister."

RAY: That`s what I love about Whoopi. She`s like, "I don`t want to be part of that crap on television and be part of the segment, but I will have my two cents heard." That`s brilliant.

ANDERSON: But one thing is for certain. In this really incredible battle, both Whoopi and Michaele agree that Whoopi dropped many an F-bomb. Let`s hear both sides of their stories.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SALAHI: When I got off, I was still fine. But I think her coming in and saying F that, F this -

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Did you say she hit me? Or she -

SALAHI: No. I think I started crying because now, I have someone I don`t even know. I`m a guest of their show. And they`re berating me with F this -

GOLDBERG: And I make no, you know, apology for my choice words. But then her husband got in my face, had his Blackberry out and started taking pictures of me. And needless to say, I really went off then. And there were even more choicer words. I mean, that were so choice you could have cut them with a knife and eaten them.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: More choicer words.

RAY: More choicer words -

ANDERSON: I love that, too. Yes, she seemed kind of annoyed that she even had to address it. Ereka, are you on team Whoopi or team Michaele?

EREKA VETRINI, SENIOR EDITOR, "IN TOUCH WEEKLY": I would never be dumb enough to cross Whoopi ever. And I don`t know what this Salahi is even thinking about. Look, the wide camera angle showed that Whoopi did not hit her.

However, I`m going to say - I don`t mean to go out - I`m going to say something to defend her just a little bit. She had it tough on "The View."

RAY: She did.

VETRINI: One thing, "The View" deserves to have their hand slapped for one thing. There have been no criminal charges pressed against the Salahis. Therefore, for Sherri Shepherd to go off and say, you know, she should be put in jail, that`s reason for tears. But expect Whoopi to curse you off if you`re going to make accusations like that, right?

ANDERSON: Yes, yes. And I agree, they were harsh on her -

RAY: They should have been.

ANDERSON: Given the fact that she has not been charged with anything.

VETRINI: Yes, but -

ANDERSON: But there was an internal investigation.

VETRINI: Nothing has been charged.

ANDERSON: Somebody lost their job. Yes. And you know, it seems like nobody really likes this woman, Michaele Salahi -

RAY: I`m in -

ANDERSON: Because it even seems her - other cast members of "The Real Housewives of D.C." are fired up about her.

VETRINI: But she loves herself.

ANDERSON: On the "Today" show this morning -

RAY: Oh, she loves herself and she loves the focus on her, too.

ANDERSON: That is quite obvious. But on the "Today" show this morning, it really turned into a Michaele bash fest with Michaele sitting right there for the entire thing. Watch.

RAY: Yes.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: All this press, you know, what occurred yesterday - we`re just so finished with it.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You`re done?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I can tell on your face.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Are you guys over her?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Completely, yes.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Totally.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I feel that, like many other cases, they have misrepresented themselves. They make things up as they go along. They live a phony, fake, Bonnie and Clyde life. And you see people running wild saying it`s for a charity, and then it goes in your pocket. I mean, she`s not (INAUDIBLE).

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Are you accusing her of that?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Oh, absolutely.

(CROSS TALK)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Those are serious allegations.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Serious allegations.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Wow. Tanika, yes. It`s laughable. It`s reached the point of absurdity.

RAY: Yes.

ANDERSON: And you know, no matter who`s right and who`s wrong here, no matter where this woman goes, controversy follows. What is up with her?

RAY: She brings controversy with her. And that`s the thing I love about this. I was not going to watch "Housewives of D.C." I`ve had enough with that Salahi chick.

But the other girls kind of bashing her, too, has made me thought maybe the other girls are more interesting than Salahi is. So I did it. They`re sick of this girl grabbing the spotlight over something so trivial.

Now, her husband is apparently throwing wine on one housewife and they`re sparring. I just feel like they`re just drama. They`re negative energy. Let`s be done with it.

ANDERSON: I can tell you one thing. Whoopi and Michaele and probably Michaele and these other housewives -

RAY: Yes.

ANDERSON: They`re not going to be on each other`s Christmas card lists for sure.

(CROSS TALK)

VETRINI: No, no, no, no, no.

ANDERSON: But Tanika will be tuning into "The Real Housewives of D.C." Ereka Vetrini and Tanika Ray, thank you both.

All right. I`ve got to move on right now to some incredible star confessions today. Listen to this. Julia Roberts makes a stunning plastic surgery confession. Wait until you hear what Julia said in a new interview today about going under the knife.

And Drew Barrymore`s outrageous sex confession today. All I`m going to tell you right now is that Drew likes it on speed dial. I`m sorry. There`s some things we really just don`t need to know.

And then there are bombshell new details today about the plan to shake up "American Idol." What new faces will be at the judges` table? The explosive details just revealed today. "Idol`s" new boss wants Paula back. But does Paula want "Idol" back? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: President Obama celebrates his 49th birthday in Chicago with dinner with Oprah. Oprah`s new short hairdo for the September issue of "O" magazine is a wig!

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: California drama? As Katy Perry preps for her big wedding to Russell Brand, I hope she`s looking for a lawyer, too.

Shocking reports today that the Beach Boys are threatening to slap a lawsuit on the "California Gurl." Beach Boy reps allege Katy used their classic line "I wish they all could be California gurls," in her new song, "California Gurls."

Now, they want a writing credit and royalties. OK. Here`s what I don`t get. Katy doesn`t even sing the line. Snoop Dogg does. I hope this work this out. My summer ends and I love it.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.

Big news today about Lindsay`s big-buck lockdown. Lindsay Lohan may have been locked away in jail and now in rehab, but that hasn`t stopped the money from rolling in big time.

Today, we got proof of that. And judging by the slew of new photo shoots and business deals rolling out almost daily, Lindsay must have been really busy in the weeks before she went to jail. So we got to ask in our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Flashpoint - Lindsay in jail, best business decision ever?

Joining me right now in Hollywood, Ken Baker, who is E`s chief news correspondent.

Ken, person change, learning her lesson, redemption aside - we know those are the priority - all that aside. A lot of people have been speculating that Lindsay being thrown in the slammer was the best thing that could have ever happened to her business-wise. Do you agree?

KEN BAKER, CHIEF NEWS CORRESPONDENT, "E!": I don`t think it was the best thing that could have happened to her. But given the circumstances of what she`d been doing over the last several years, it was a necessary step.

Look, I think people in Hollywood look at Lindsay this way. If you pay your dues, if you take care of yourself personally, you`re able to rehabilitate yourself and you really show remorse and you show that you`re taking accountability and responsibility for your actions, I think everyone in Hollywood is going to be willing, ready and able to take her back.

And I say "able" because in the past, reportedly, there have been some insurance problems of just getting her on the set and getting insurance for her.

ANDERSON: Yes.

BAKER: So I think there`s a lot of issues at play here. But listen. Here`s the thing, Brooke. Behind the scenes, what`s been going on with Lindsay`s finances is very interesting.

Earlier this year she took on board as a business manager a woman named Lou Taylor. Lou Taylor is someone who also came on as a business financial manager for Britney Spears when she went under conservatorship a couple years ago and is known as someone who`s an expert in the field of getting celebrities` financial houses in order. So I think that there`s been a lot of strategic moves going on, on this topic with Lindsay.

ANDERSON: Yes. Well, let`s talk about some of those strategic moves. I want to take a look at all the provocative shoots that have been revealed since Lindsay got into big trouble.

First, this, for her new fashion line that appeared on Bravo`s reality show "Double Exposure." Then there`s German "GQ." Lindsay in a bikini. Lindsay naked with a guitar - my goodness. Then, her upcoming new movie "Inferno." In that, she plays porn star Linda Lovelace.

And we can`t forget the brand-new "Maxim" cover of Lindsay in a bikini. More sexy photos inside. Then, there`s that super sexy Marc Ecko campaign featuring Lindsay in a ski mask showing too much cleavage. And now this, a big spread in today`s "New York Daily News" showing Lindsay hawking new handbag lines.

So I`m thinking - and we`ll end it here. But I`m thinking it is possible she could have masterminded this in the weeks and months before she had to go to jail. Time will tell. Ken Baker, thanks. Good to see you.

BAKER: Thanks.

ANDERSON: All right. Now, I got to tell you about the explosive E-mails and phone calls flooding the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom today. Everybody wanting a piece of supermodel Gisele Bundchen, and not in a good way.

Our fans are speaking and they are outraged about Gisele saying there should be a law forcing mothers to breastfeed.

Amy in Nevada thinks Gisele`s breastfeeding comments were totally out of line, "Instead of Gisele telling moms it should be a law, she should pay moms on maternity leave so they can enjoy being home to breastfeed their children instead of having to go back to work. One baby, and now she`s an expert."

The "Showbiz on Call" phone lines blowing up, too, over Gisele`s breastfeeding controversy. Colleen just phoned in to say that Gisele should stick to raising her own child.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

CALLER: I believe it is outrageous what she said about women having to mandatorily breastfeed their children. There are circumstances in which women can`t do this. And in the end, it`s not their choice. I don`t think she should be making mothers and wives feel inadequate about themselves.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Thanks, Colleen. The "Showbiz on Call" phone lines are open 24/7. So give us a ring - 1-888-SBT-BUZZ; 1-888-728-2899. Simply leave a message. We`ll play some of your calls right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Hey, it seems like Gisele and her fellow supermodel, Naomi Campbell, have gone from the catwalk to controversy. It`s supermodel madness today. The explosive new message for Gisele today from outraged moms everywhere - how dare you tell women how to raise their kids?

Naomi Campbell`s dramatic testimony today at the trial of an alleged brutal dictator. What Naomi said today about alleged blood diamonds.

And is Enrique Iglesias all wet and totally naked? The video you`ve got to see. Don`t worry. It`s all in good clean fun. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn`s divorce finalized. First look at Katy Perry`s new music video, "Teenage Dream."

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Boy, look at the neat lightning. I sure hope it hits our house.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: What a great classic show, right? "The Munsters" was a huge hit in the `60s. And today, there`s a surprising new twist for one of the iconic stars. Eddie Munster finds love.

This is just a great story. Butch Patrick, who played Eddie Munster, was a huge star and teen heartthrob long before they were boy bands and Justin Bieber.

And Donna McCall is arguably butch Patrick`s biggest fan ever. She`s been carrying a torch for Butch for nearly 46 years. She used to write him love letters all the time when he was on "The Munsters."

Then, one day she decided to track down her childhood crush to see what he was up to. They connected. And now, guess what? They`re about to get married. What a great love story, right?

OK. Now, this - Mary Hart`s stunning decision. The legendary entertainment news host is leaving "Entertainment Tonight," this after nearly three decades of wowing us with her exciting reporting and, of course, right, those iconic legs.

Mary Hart tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that her decision was a hard one, but she`s ready to start the next chapter of her life.

"I`ve had the privilege of spending 29 years doing something I love. I only meant to be at `ET` for three years - suddenly, it`s almost 30. I`ve reached a point when I clearly realize it`s time for a change. There are many things I want to do in my life and I`d better get on with them."

Mary Hart will leave the show after next season. I just want to say, Mary Hart, thank you for paving the way for all of us who are entertainment reporters. You will be missed.

OK. Jennifer Hudson`s new look has really sparked a fired up debate on the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook wall.

Meaghan L. thinks Jennifer looks fantastic and healthy and says don`t hate, appreciate, "Why can`t people be happy that she can make herself feel and look great? Why is it that when a plus-size woman loses weight, she`s abandoning all her plus-size fans? But it`s not a big deal when a guy does it."

Marian K. hopes Jennifer can keep it up, "She looks great. The real question is, how long can she keep it up?" She does look incredible.

ANDERSON: And now, the Showbiz lineup. Here`s what`s coming up at the bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Did you see this? Take a good look. Is that really Enrique Iglesias waterskiing naked? I don`t know about you but I don`t see a whole lot there. We will get to the bottom of this one in just a minute.

Star true confessions today. Julia`s plastic surgery shocker. Drew Barrymore`s sex phone revelation. Drew, really, some things are better left between you and AT & T. I`m just saying.

And brand-new reaction today to Bristol and Levi`s break-up. Was Levi and Bristol`s split planned or the real deal? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

Blockbuster "American Idol" news today. The show gets a new boss and he wants Paula back. Should Paula Abdul say yes?

Plus, breaking today on the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - Usher`s new milestone and Jane Lynch gets waxed.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - supermodel madness.

I cannot believe that, not one, but two supermodels are smack dab in the middle of huge controversies today. Supermodel Naomi Campbell takes the witness stand today at a war crimes trial. This over alleged blood diamonds she may have gotten from a former dictator - this dictator accused of murdering tens of thousands of people.

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen`s breast-feeding backlash is exploding today. A front page challenge to her. Moms telling Gisele to mind her own business when it comes to raising other people`s kids.

With me, right now from New York, Ereka Vetrini. She is a senior editor with "In Touch Weekly." And in Hollywood, Tanika Ray, who is an entertainment journalist.

OK. The remarkable outrage today over Bundchen`s demand for a worldwide law, forcing all moms to breast-feed their babies for the first six months showed no signs of slowing down.

Take a look, ladies, at this headline in the "New York Post" today, "How dare this woman tell us how to raise our children." As you can see, an arrow pointing straight at Gisele. Tanika, Gisele has already - she`s already backtracked.

RAY: Yes.

ANDERSON: Here`s the thing. I think she had good intentions, but she expressed herself in a really insensitive, absurd manner. People just don`t want to let it go.

RAY: Let me translate model-ese for you. She was just passionate about the fact she learned something outside of looking fabulous in panties for a living. She`s had $150 million dollars. She`s learned a couple of things along the way.

She`s really, really proud of this new phase in her life. And she was pontificating on the fact she loves breastfeeding and how great it is. I don`t think she was really saying there should be a law.

And if so, she needs to go back to brazil and figure that out. She wasn`t. She was being passionate, speaking in a beautiful accent. And you just couldn`t translate that (INAUDIBLE).

ANDERSON: So you`re giving her a pass?

RAY: I`m giving her a pass. Why are we taking the model seriously? Why are we listening to what she`s saying? It`s a model.

ANDERSON: Well, I`ve got to say the blistering "New York Post" smackdown did not give her a pass. And it goes on to list the reasons why Gisele is not like other moms by pointing out the following - she lost 30 pounds of baby weight almost instantly.

She says her hubby`s love child strengthened their relationship. She says that when giving birth, labor doesn`t hurt. All right. I want to know -

(CROSS TALK)

Labor does not hurt. Oh, yes. She earned $25 million last year for modeling. She`s insulted a lot of people, outraged a lot of people by her statements, her judgments.

RAY: OK.

ANDERSON: Ereka, at the same time, do you think people need to give her a break like Tanika did?

VETRINI: No break. Even you`re a supermodel, you are not superhuman. Labor hurts. Take it from me. All moms out there know. Look, she could have said it - "I know I`m a very fortunate woman. I know I`m blessed with a gorgeous husband, five-foot legs, you know, $25 million, a housekeeper," so I get it.

RAY: Ereka, we`ll just hate her more for that. That`s all. It`s just (INAUDIBLE). We would hate her more if she said, "I`m gorgeous and I have a gorgeous husband." No, no, no.

VETRINI: She could say, "I feel like I`m very blessed. And these are why - I`m grateful for these X, Y and Z. Instead she`s like, "This is the way it is, ladies."

(CROSS TALK)

How do the rest of us in the world are supposed to look at this woman and say, "I`m supposed to be that? No, no, no. I cannot agree with that."

ANDERSON: No, no, no. We cannot compare ourselves to Gisele Bundchen.

VETRINI: You`re not -

ANDERSON: And I kind of agree with you, Ereka. I think it would have gone a really long way had she said, "I am very blessed."

VETRINI: Yes.

ANDERSON: "I am very lucky. I did not have complications with childbirth or newborn rearing a lot of women do have. And I`ve got to say that our "Showbiz on Call" phone lines did not stop ringing today with calls about Gisele.

VETRINI: Surprise -

ANDERSON: Susan from Kentucky says that Gisele needs to just stick to what she knows best.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

CALLER: Just because she has a child, she was able to do it, doesn`t mean everybody else can. And she just needs to step back, regroup and think about what she says before she opens her mouth. She`s a supermodel. She needs to stand there and do what she does.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Great point, Susan. And we`re going to leave that one right there. It was so well said. And I`ve got to tell you -

RAY: She`s not Oprah. Don`t listen to Gisele. Stop it.

ANDERSON: That was the tone of almost all the calls that we got today. All right. I do have to move to more supermodel madness, because Naomi Campbell took the stand today in the Netherlands at the war crimes trials, very serious trial.

It`s of the former president of Liberia, Charles Taylor. He`s accused of murdering tens of thousands of people in a bloody campaign, allegedly financed in part with blood diamonds.

Taylor allegedly gave Naomi some of those diamonds after a dinner at Nelson Mandela`s place. That dinner included Quincy Jones, Mia Farrow. On the stand today, Naomi said that she had no idea the diamonds were from him. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

NAOMI CAMPBELL, SUPERMODEL: When I was sleeping, I had a knock at my door. And I opened my door. And two men were there and gave me a pouch and said, "A gift for you. The next morning, at breakfast, I told Ms. Farrow and Ms. White what had happened. And one of the two said, "Well, that`s obviously Charles Taylor."

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: OK. Tanika, Naomi already doesn`t already have the best image given all of her public temper tantrums. But I`ve got to say, no matter how this turns out, I don`t think it can be good for her image going forward.

RAY: I just feel - you have to understand. Is these actresses and models - they get a lot of free stuff thrown at them. You don`t dissect what it is that you get for free. It`s just another present for her. And I agree with her. She said she didn`t even look at it until the next morning.

ANDERSON: Right.

RAY: They looked like dirty rocks. She could care less. She gave it to a friend. I mean, for Naomi, all the stuff she gets free - she wants to get cars thrown at her. She`s like, it`s another free thing. She probably absolutely didn`t know who it came from.

And I just think it`s kind of ridiculous to throw her into this lawsuit. But at the same time, we`re all paying attention.

ANDERSON: Yes, we are. And the prosecution thinks it`s critical in establishing whether he, in fact, ever was in possession of blood diamonds. I got to hand it to Naomi. She hasn`t had a meltdown yet on the stand.

RAY: No.

ANDERSON: And the girl is bringing glamour to the courtroom. Look at her. She looks fantastic.

RAY: She always does.

ANDERSON: I got to move to the blockbuster news breaking today that "American Idol" is getting its original boss back. Yes, Nigel Lythgoe confirmed today that he is rejoining the show as an executive producer.

Remember, he ran the show its first six seasons. In a new interview today, he says he wants Paula Abdul back. Here`s our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint. Should Paula return to "Idol"? Ereka, what do you think?

VETRINI: Bring Paula back. Bring Paula back. You know, I don`t know how I`m going to get through the next season without Simon.

I would love to see Paula back so that I can feel like it`s giving me some of what I love - you know, the "Idol" that we know and love. It would be nice to see her there as a stable force. You know, hopefully she`ll be a little less loopy this coming season if she is there.

ANDERSON: No. She cannot be less loopy.

VETRINI: You`re right. You`re right. She can`t.

(CROSS TALK)

RAY: Tanika, to the SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, do you think Paula Abdul should return to the show?

RAY: No. I think the window of opportunity has closed. And she is under a contract with CBS for her own dance show. Now, I talked to Nigel about a year ago when this whole kafuffle thing went down and Paula got fired.

He was totally team Paula then. And I think he`s such a big fan of hers. But if he was going to do the best justice of Paula, he would put Paula on "So You Think You Can Dance?" It`s the most perfect fit. It makes sense. And it`s not like - I don`t know. It just feels like it`s old now and Paula can`t come back.

ANDERSON: I don`t know, though. She`s so nutty and unpredictable in that role as "Idol" judge.

RAY: She is.

ANDERSON: The show has not been the same without her.

RAY: There`s a lot of nutty chicks that can go on "American Idol."

ANDERSON: That`s true. That`s true. Good point. Now, we want to hear from you. It is our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll - "New `American Idol` Boss Wants Paula Abdul Back: Should she return to the show?" Keep voting, CNN.com/ShowbizTonight.

Ereka Vetrini, Tanika Ray, it was a lot of fun. Thanks, ladies.

RAY: Girl power!

ANDERSON: Girl power. OK. Moving on now, Julia Roberts and Drew Barrymore are adored, plain and simple. But today, both stars making some remarkable true confessions about their personal lives.

Really intimate stuff, what I`m talking about here. Julia`s plastic surgery revelations. What do her kids have to do with her controversial decision?

And Drew talking about being dirty after dark. Drew`s phone sex secrets revealed today.

Well, it`s no secret. Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston are kaput again. But as their second engagement a big old publicity stunt? The jaw dropping results from our exclusive Bristol and Levi poll.

Plus, take a look. Is that really Enrique Iglesias waterskiing naked? The unbelievable video you`ve got to see today. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

KATIE COURIC, CBS NEWS ANCHOR: Catapulted from obscurity to the national stage, Sarah Palin has something else to celebrate today - her 20th wedding anniversary. Her oldest son, 19-year-old Trap - I wonder how do they get these -

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Did you see this? Katie Couric mocking the name of one of Sarah Palin`s kids. The video was just leaked online and it is everywhere today. The caught-on-tape happened on the very day Sarah was chosen to be the Republican vice presidential nominee in 2008.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. There`s more breaking Palin news today, this time about Sarah`s daughter, Bristol. We`ll have that in a moment.

But first, there`s big news breaking in "The Buzz" today. Drew Barrymore reveals her phone sex secrets. Ryan O`Neal and his one-time estranged daughter could be heading to reality TV land. And Taylor Swift gives the boot to bootleggers.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over): Taylor`s swift kick. Taylor Swift has just moved, well, swiftly to release her new single because she was ripped off. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is just learning Swift was forced to rush the release of her song, "Mine," far ahead of schedule because a bootleg version began showing up online. The song quickly rocketed to number one on iTunes` real time chart.

Ryan`s reality reunion. Ryan O`Neal has just revealed we may be seeing him and his daughter, Tatum, in a reality show on their life together again after 25 years of being estranged.

Ryan and Tatum started settling their differences after Farrah Fawcett`s death. They`re now pitching a reality show called "Lost and Found" that would include showing them going through therapy together.

Drew`s sexy dial up. Drew Barrymore has just confessed she`s had phone sex, just like she does in her upcoming film, "Going The Distance." Drew tells "Marie Claire U.K.," quote, "Oh, I`ve had successful phone sex. It can work. I think it`s (EXPLETIVE DELETED) weird."

"It`s super weird. I totally tried it, though, with a little success at one point in my life. But it was just a thing you try, like wearing orange for a while. I don`t think it`s something I could live my life with."

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: Wearing orange? What? Drew is not the only star making some big confessions today. In a brand-new interview revealed today, Julia Roberts speaking out about Botox and plastic surgery. And let me tell you, plastic surgeons are not going to like what she says at all.

Right now, in New York, is Marvet Britto who is a celebrity publicist. Also in New York is Cathy Areu, publisher of "Catalina" magazine.

Marvet, Cathy, we all know, Julia - drop dead gorgeous. It`s hard to believe she is 42 years old. So here`s the question. Does she plan on going under the knife to help her stay looking young?

In the brand-new interview out today Julia tells "Elle" magazine absolutely not. Listen to what she says, "It`s unfortunate that we live in such a panicked, dysmorphic society where women don`t even give themselves a chance to see what they`ll look like as older persons. I want to have some idea of what I`ll look like before I start cleaning the slates."

Cathy, the girl is honest. She`s got a great point. What do you say?

CATHY AREU, PUBLISHER, "CATALINA MAGAZINE": Well, I think America`s sweetheart is giving all of us a pep talk. Look, ladies. We don`t need Botox. We don`t need plastic surgery. Let`s age gracefully together.

And I would expect Julia Roberts, who we all can relate to, we love, and go to her movies because we feel that she`s almost the girl next door - we expect her to be real. And I think by not getting the Botox and the plastic surgery, she`s keeping it real for all of us.

ANDERSON: All right. Keeping it real - but Marvet, I hate to even say this, but there are those - I`ve heard people say that they feel a little bit annoyed with Julia. They feel that maybe she acts superior in a way. But you just can`t please everybody, can you?

MARVET BRITTO, CELEBRITY PUBLICIST: Not at all. And this is a woman whose brand has organically been built by the purity and wholesomeness and real raw persona that she`s always perceived since many of us came to know her in "Pretty Woman."

So I don`t think it`s out of line for Julia to express what`s real and comfortable for her. She`s never been identified with the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. She strayed away from that and lives a pretty normal life. So this isn`t out of line with what we would expect her to say as it relates to beauty standards that she`s really applied to her lifestyle.

ANDERSON: And one reason she wanted to live outside of Hollywood was to keep her family protected, keep her kids away from the limelight. And speaking of that, Julia also tells "Elle" magazine she won`t use Botox because her three young kids wouldn`t be able to read her facial expressions.

"I want my kids to know when I`m peeved, when I`m happy and when I`m confounded. Your face tells a story, and it shouldn`t be a story about your drive to the doctor`s office."

And just this morning on "The View," Sherri Shepherd said that she agrees with Julia and that people need to stop going to extremes to look young. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SHEPHERD: And I think so many people are going overboard with this plastic surgery and everything that they`re doing to their face. You can`t see what they look like. It`s a beautiful journey. I think that people go on.

JOY BEHAR, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": Oh, you say that now.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: OK. You heard what Joy said at the end. Cathy, quickly, does Joy have it right though? Maybe Julia should be careful about saying she`ll never use Botox?

AREU: Well, she actually didn`t say she`ll never use it. She said, "For now, I`m not going to do it." But, you know - she almost said, "I`ll reconsider it later." So she left it open. So Julia knows (INAUDIBLE).

ANDERSON: Yes. Never say never.

AREU: Yes. No, no, no.

ANDERSON: OK. More big news today, ladies, about the Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston break-up. There are still a lot of people skeptical about that. So we asked in our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll - "Bristol and Levi Breakup: Do you think this is a giant publicity stunt?"

The startling results just in late today. Thirty percent say, yes, absolutely, it`s a publicity stunt. But an overwhelming 70 percent said it`s not.

Marvet, you`re a publicist. Are you in the majority that this was not some sort of publicity stunt?

BRITTO: I don`t think they would put their public life on display in such a way really to show vulnerability if it was for publicity. I think they`re really young, they`re in love.

And it`s really just the perils of being a young couple living your life in the limelight. So I don`t think it was for publicity. I think it surely was a riff and they decided to make the decision that was best for them.

ANDERSON: Cathy, quickly - was it a PR stunt to you?

AREU: I just don`t think they`re that clever. I don`t think they`re clever enough to pull a PR stunt like this. They never have.

I mean, they have a history of making crazy decisions. And I think that we`re watching their crazy lives unfold. And they are teenage parents, unwed parents. So, yes. No, I don`t think they`re that smart.

ANDERSON: Yes. That`s the keyword there - teenage parents. I think they`re young. I think they don`t really know what they`re doing right now. Marvet Britto, Cathy Areu, thank you both for your insight.

Well, we`ve all done it. You make a bet. You lose, you`ve got to pay up, right? Fair is fair. But when you`re an international singing star, losing a bet could make you end up on TMZ.

Is that really Enrique Iglesias waterskiing naked? It`s the unbelievable video you`ve got to see today, but don`t worry. This is still a family show. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

KIM KARDASHIAN, REALITY TV STAR: I spent the last two days calling everybody I know so I can make sure that I set Kendall up with the best modeling agency possible. This is actually a really big deal and I`m so surprised this is happening so fast for her.

BRUCE JENNER, STEPFATHER OF KIM KARDASHIAN: But she is 14 years old.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: That`s Bruce Jenner on "Keeping up with the Kardashians" desperately trying to be the voice of reason before these eye-popping bikini pictures of his daughter, Kendall, were revealed.

Kendall is the 14-year-old sister of Kim Kardashian and Kim was cheering her on a few weeks ago when Kendall posed for these racy modeling pictures which sparked a ton of controversy.

And today, she`s back. Kim tweeted new pictures of Kendall looking way older than her 14 years. Kim Kardashian was gushing again about her kid sister, writing on her blog, quote, "She`s hard working, driven and so talented at such a young age. I think she has a long and successful career ahead of her. I`m honestly bursting with pride."

Moving now to this, Enrique Iglesias bares his assets and it`s all caught on tape. Take a look. Look closely at this. That`s Enrique, naked as the day he was born, waterskiing in Miami.

Enrique made a bet that if Spain won the World Cup he would waterski in the buff. And, hey, a bet`s a bet. You`ve got to love when a man keeps his word, right, even if it is going to end up on TMZ like this video did.

Enrique`s naked jaunt was taped late last month. It was top secret because cops in Miami threatened to arrest him for the stunt, something about breaking public nudity laws. Whatever.

I thought it was pretty funny, though I do think he was wearing a Speedo. I didn`t see much down there, no offense, Enrique.

It`s not exactly naked waterskiing, but the shake-up at "American Idol" has been pretty shocking. With Simon and Ellen out, there are some huge shoes to fill at the judges` table.

So we want to hear from you. It`s our exclusive SHOWBIZ TONIGHT poll - "New `American Idol` BOSS WANTS PAULA Abdul Back: Should she return to the show?" We want you to vote at CNN.com/ShowbizTonight.

Right now, in our Facebook, already, the wall is overrun with comments today. Susan M. writes, "They should never have let Paula go."

And Marianne H. has a more cryptic message, "As much as I have loved watching `American Idol` I think it needs to end now. It appears to be dying a slow death."
