A.J. HAMMER, HLN ANCHOR: Big news breaking today on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Kate`s brand new confessions: Kate Gosselin reveals secrets of her slamming hot bikini bod. Her brand new interview today -- did she get breast implants? How about botox?

But wait, there`s more. Kate sets the record straight. Is she dating her bodyguard?

Did Oprah trip over a free trip? Why some are angry about Oprah Winfrey giving her audience a free trip to Australia.

The best and worst dressed stars in Hollywood revealed today. Who looks fabulous? And who`s a total fashion flop?

Your chance to smell like Lady Gaga today; but would you really want to smell like a dress made of beef?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show starts right now.

HAMMER: Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.

BROOKE ANDERSON, HLN ANCHOR: Hi there everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today -- "Kate`s New Confessions".

HAMMER: Yes Brooke, Kate Gosselin is opening up about everything today, and I do mean everything. Kate`s incredible new body was revealed today. And if you`re thinking that maybe, just maybe she pulled a Heidi Montag, well, Kate says not a chance.

In her bombshell brand new interview today, Kate insists that what you see is the real thing. And she`s also taking on all that speculation that she`s been stepping out with her bodyguard.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT bringing you Kate Gosselin unleashed.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER (voice-over): Kate has now gone from being a mom of eight to being a hot mom of eight. Kate looks absolutely sizzling on the cover of the brand new issue of "People" magazine just revealed today.

The star of the TLC reality show "Kate plus Eight" unveiled her smoking new post-divorce body and proudly announces, "I`ve worked really hard. Haven`t I earned the right, at this point, to look good? This is the most fit I`ve ever been."

JEN GARCIA, ASSISTANT EDITOR, PEOPLE MAGAZINE: It`s been a real transformation for her. And now she`s long, lean and really just shockingly gorgeous.

HAMMER: Today, Kate`s revealing the secrets of how she got her hot new body and answers the burning question. Did she have any medical help? She tells "People" quote, "This body is all real." And for good measure she adds, "These breasts are all mine."

In fact, other than the 2006 tummy tuck we watched her have on "Jon and Kate plus Eight" after she gave birth to sextuplets, Kate says she hasn`t gone under the knife at all.

GARCIA: Those breasts, they`re hers. They`re real. And there was speculation about having something done to her eyes, but her trick is an over-the-counter eye treatment. So, that`s her botox in a bottle.

But there`s really not much more than hard work that`s gotten to where she is right now.

HAMMER: Now, about the smoking body we`re seeing today on the new cover of "People", the reality show star is saying she got it the old- fashioned way. She earned it.

GARCIA: For the past four months, Kate has been running literally seven to ten miles a day and she`s done it all by herself, no trainer. No nothing. So, it`s just a lot of hard work and devotion.

HAMMER: But not everyone is celebrating Kate`s new look.

COOPER LAWRENCE, SYNDICATED RADIO SHOW HOST: It`s the ego behind it, and I wouldn`t mind it if she didn`t have eight children who were looking up to her.

HAMMER: Cooper Lawrence, is a syndicated radio show host and author of "The Cult of Celebrity" tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Kate`s, "My new body celebration" is sending a bad message to her children.

LAWRENCE: The message she`s sending is value yourself if you look great; that your body, your weight that`s really what people love about you and not your character and not who you are. But, you know, how flat your stomach is.

HAMMER: But while Kate enjoys her post-divorce body, she is also revealing today for the first time that she`s suffering post-divorce loneliness. Kate tells "People" quote, "Every woman I pass is holding someone`s hand, and that annoys me. I`m lonely, and I need help."

GARCIA: She`s looking for Mr. Right and she really would love to be dating again.

HAMMER: Since Kate`s divorce from Jon Gosselin, we`ve heard in almost painful detail all about Jon`s dating life. But Kate`s love life has been nonexistent save those tabloid reports that she`s having an affair with her married bodyguard Steve Neild who`s appeared on "Kate plus Eight".

In a new interview today, Kate is setting the record straight about that.

GARCIA: There just have been endless rumors that they`re having an affair. But she calls them absurd and totally ridiculous.

HAMMER: Kate tells "People", quote, "I am completely alone and believe me, I spend a lot of time contemplating the fact that I could be alone for the rest of my life."

LAWRENCE: A lot of recently divorced moms can relate to that type of loneliness.

GARCIA: Kate says that, you know, unfortunately, there has been this horrible perception of her out there in the media that she`s just this awful woman. And she thinks it has indeed scared some people off, that guys were afraid to date her.

HAMMER: But despite her bouts with loneliness, Kate Gosselin says, overall, she likes the new Kate.

GARCIA: Kate`s very proud of herself, and this has certainly been a rough year, a rough few years. And she`s finally in the best shape of her life and she`s feeling the best she ever has.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: So, Kate minus weight, has cleared up all those plastic surgery rumors and the pesky rumors that she`s dating her bodyguard. But I have to wonder if lonely Kate will ever find her plus one.

Right now from Hollywood, Sam Rubin. Sam is the entertainment reporter for KTLA-TV. He`s also the host of a great show, "Hollywood Uncensored", it`s on the Real Channel. And with me in New York, Jane Velez-Mitchell, who is the host of course, of "ISSUES WITH JANE VELEZ- MITCHELL" every night, 7:00 p.m. Eastern right here on HLN. And Jane is the author of this fine book called "I Want".

Well, I, for one, think Kate Gosselin looks fantastic on the cover of the new "People" magazine. Look at that. We`ve just got our hands on that. Hard to believe, when you look at this, she`s had eight kids.

But Kate says this is body by Kate. No botox, no breast implants, the breasts are real. They`re all hers.

Jane, I do believe -- well, I guess that`s one and the same 00 but I do believe she`s put all the rumors that she`s had all this plastic surgery other than what we knew about the tummy tuck to rest.

JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL, HLN HOST, "ISSUES WITH JAVE VELEZ-MITCHELL": Yes, absolutely. I mean, this woman, I`ve criticized her in the past, but she deserves props for that hard body. This is a woman who once weighed 205 pounds at the height of her pregnancy.

And now she looks good. And she`s an inspiration to other women out there who have had kids who feel, oh, I can let myself go. And she`s saying, uh-uh, because I`m proof you can look great even if you`ve had eight kids.

HAMMER: And it`s not like she is saying, oh, this is the most important thing in my life. It`s just an important part of my life.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Yes.

HAMMER: Sam, what do you think? Because she does point out and I think very well, that, I can`t have plastic surgery, the paparazzi follow me everywhere. So how could I lie about this?

SAM RUBIN, ENTERTAINMENT REPORTER, KTLA-TV: Well, you know what, I don`t think she`s lying about it. And I`ll tell you what, she debuted this new fantastic body at the Emmys. And I was actually at the rehearsal for that opening dance number and as many of us were there watching the rehearsal, the first remark was, who is that hot-looking blonde? People literally didn`t recognize her as Kate Gosselin.

And the other thing, which I think speaks very well of Kate, the very fact that "People" has put her on the cover again, as I recall, the last cover of Kate on "People" was when she had the new hair. It indicates there is this enormous interest --

HAMMER: Yes.

RUBIN: -- in Kate Gosselin.

They put her on the cover to sell magazines for no other reason. The fact that she`s a repeat cover person, and not that long a time has passed, is indicative of the fact that people are very, very interested. I think Jane`s right. I think people are inspired.

HAMMER: And I think what`s neat to point out, is back when she was having all of her troubles, we were all rooting for her, and look at her go. I mean, really, I think we should acknowledge that.

But when I was reading this interview today, it was hard to not be struck by how lonely she seems and how much she talked about being lonely. She says this, "Sometimes I worry I`ve scared the world away. There`s nobody out there who`s come forward and it`s depressing. Every woman I pass is holding someone`s hand and that annoys me. I`m lonely and I need help."

Now, I know that a lot of people may hear that and think, Kate, you`ve got the fame that you wanted and you know, the fact that it`s hard to meet someone does come with the territory. Jane, obviously it`s sad to hear how low she may feel about all of this, but do you feel sorry for her?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Absolutely not -- boo hoo hoo. She made her bed and now she gets to sleep in it, alone, apparently. She had two beautiful children, twins and then she proceeded to do these fertility treatments again and have six more kids.

Nobody asked her to do that. She made that choice. And, you have to live with the fact that if you`re single and you have eight kids, that might cause a slight dating problem.

HAMMER: Yes, be a tabloid target on top of that, that may keep a few people away.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Yes.

HAMMER: All right. We do have to move on to some big stinking news that`s breaking today for Lady Gaga. Brooke, what`s that smell?

ANDERSON: Eau de Gaga anyone?

A.J., just days after Lady Gaga sparked a firestorm over her dress made of raw meat, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT learned today that Gaga is getting her own fragrance. Yes. It`s due out in spring. No name yet.

But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has a few stinking ideas. How about "Bad Raw- Mance, by Gaga"? "Lady Gaga`s Meat Obsession". "Maybe Aqua di Moo". Or my very personal favorite, "Moo No. 5". Sam? Do you like any of those? You`ve got your own ideas.

RUBIN: Well, I -- I`ll tell you what, props to the SHOWBIZ TODAY pun department. I think it`s amusing that she`s electing to do this. And here`s the thing.

You know, prize fighters, I think Joe Frazier had a fragrance. It seems to me the last person, particularly given the VMA meat outfit that any young woman would want to smell like is Lady Gaga.

So it`s a -- a real surprise. And I don`t anticipate this is going to be a best-selling fragrance. You know if you go to several of these department stores and you go a month or two after these things come out, often in the bargain basement is the Hilary Duff fragrance or others stars who`ve launched these, I think that`s kind of the silly for Lady Gaga.

She`s got the headphones, which make more sense with her brand.

ANDERSON: Yes, there is potential for them to make a whole a lot of money, though, for it to be lucrative as well. And in all seriousness, you guys -- wait a minute, I can`t be serious about Gaga after that dreadful meat getup.

So I`m just going to leave it with my hope that this -- this scent isn`t the essence of (INAUDIBLE) or anything like that --

VELEZ-MITCHELL: How about "Gag Me"? Or, "I Stink"? How about "I Stink"?

ANDERSON: Sam Rubin -- "Gag Me", all right. We`ll leave it there. All right, we`ll leave it there, Jane Velez-Mitchell. Thanks.

HAMMER: All right, we`ve got to move on to a big controversy today surrounding Oprah Winfrey. She didn`t come on her show wearing flank steak or anything, but did Oprah trip over a free trip?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

OPRAH WINFREY, HOST, "THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW": We are going to Australia. We are going to Australia.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Why some people are angry about Oprah giving her audience a free trip to Australia. I think it is going to be great for the Land Down Under. People need to back off.

We`ve got a brand new situation today; "Jersey Shore`s" "The Situation" taking on Kim Kardashian. It is a reality show star smack down.

And stunning reports today that Jennifer Lopez will be a judge on "American Idol". Why Paula Abdul may have 12 million reasons to be mad about this. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now the "Showbiz News Ticker"; more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PAULA ABDUL, FORMER JUDGE OF "AMERICAN IDOL": I thought you -- oh, my God. I thought you sang twice.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Wow.

RYAN SEACREST, HOST, "AMERICAN IDOL": But Paula -- Paula -- you -- you`re seeing the future, baby. You`re seeing the future. It`s coming back.

ABDUL: You know what?

RANDY JACKSON, JUDGE "AMERICAN IDOL": All right --

ABDUL: This is hard.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Ok, just in today, could Paula Abdul`s one-time seat on "American Idol" be filled by Jennifer Lopez? Well, there are brand new reports today that J.Lo is joining "American Idol", and there are 12 million reasons that Paula may be ticked off about that.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big Jennifer Lopez "American Idol" news today.

ANDERSON: Yes, idolizing J.Lo? After days of conflicting reports and wild speculations there are blockbuster new reports today about Jennifer Lopez joining "American Idol" for a full $12 million bucks.

Right now, in New York is Janell Snowden, she`s the host of VH1 News. Janelle, these J.Lo idol reports have been flying for weeks. The buzz was that she was being a diva, making outlandish demands for acting gigs, for other perks to go along with her judge`s seat.

Well, "People" magazine is reporting today that J. Lo had to settle for $12 million. Janelle, money well spent or money pit?

JANELL SNOWDEN, HOST, VH1 NEWS: Oh. I think that it all depends on who the third judge is going to be. So we know Simon is out, we know Kara is out. If it`s just J. Lo and Randy, no thanks, I`m turning to "America`s Got Talent." I love J. Lo but that`s not going to do it for me.

But I mean, if it`s somebody that is equally a diva or somebody that, you know, just somehow makes for good television, then ok, it`s money well spent. But didn`t Paula ask for $12 million?

ANDERSON: Yes, and that`s what I was just going to say, Janelle, because there are reports that $12 million is the exact amount that Paula Abdul asked for to stick around for another season, but instead, she got a bye-bye.

Janelle, I spoke to Paula recently at the Emmys and she seemed to be over "American Idol." She`s looking forward to her dance show, but do you think that if J.Lo is, indeed, getting $12 million, that Paula is really going to be ticked off here?

SNOWDEN: Honey, Paula is going to be fighting mad. Can you imagine? So, ok, you throw me -- well, I decide to leave the show because you won`t give me my $12 million. And what do you do, you hire another dancer who is going to come in and replace me and you give her the money that I asked for? Oh, yes --

ANDERSON: Yes.

SNOWDEN: -- somebody is asking for it.

ANDERSON: It`s enough to make anybody fume, you`re right. Well, well, as we are well aware, there were so many "Idol" departures before this, so many empty seats at that table.

Let`s take it to the "Showbiz News Line" shall we. Kara Dioguardi confirms she was leaving just two weeks ago. Ellen DeGeneres up and left in July after one season. Simon Cowell announced early this year he was moving on.

And listen to this. In a new interview today, Ellen DeGeneres reveals for the very first time that Simon announcing he was leaving on her (AUDIO GAP), it made her question how long she would last on the show. Janelle, quickly, are you surprised she felt that way?

SNOWDEN: I`m not surprised. I mean, that`s just shady business. If not one told her that it was going to be Simon`s last season and she`s signing on for the package deal and Simon is very much "American Idol".

Then, no I`m not surprised at all. I think she has every right to be upset. That`s like signing on to produce Oprah Winfrey --

ANDERSON: Yes.

SNOWDEN: -- and then you know, moving yourself all across to Chicago and then saying, oh, wait this is the last season?

ANDERSON: Oh, no Oprah.

SNOWDEN: Yes.

ANDERSON: All right. Janell Snowden, thanks.

And now we want to hear from you about this. It is our exclusive SHOWBIZ TONIGHT poll. Jennifer Lopez -- If she becomes a judge on "American Idol," will that make you watch the show? Vote: CNN.com/showbiztonight. Send us an e-mail, showbiztonight@cnn.com.

HAMMER: The Lady Gaga meat dress. Brooke, people are still chewing the fat over this one.

ANDERSON: Yes, they are, A.J., we`ve been getting posts all day long on our Facebook wall. Tina M. grills Gaga`s dress choice. "Love Gaga`s music but she is way out there in her so-called style. Disgusting. What a freak."

HAMMER: Showbiz on-call phone lines have been ringing all day. Silvia from California loves Gaga`s meat dress.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

SYLVIA, CALIFORNIA: I love Lady Gaga, and her meat dress is -- is just great. I`m a vegetarian, and if you`re wearing leather, what`s the difference? It -- look at -- look at your shoes. Are you wearing leather shoes right now? There`s no difference. I mean and she`s -- she`s trying to send a message, and if you`re wearing leather, there`s no difference than wearing a meat dress or a leather dress.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

HAMMER: Thanks a lot Sylvia. Call us at "Showbiz on Call". Sound off on this or anything at all.

ANDERSON: Yes, that -- that`s right, the "Showbiz on Call" phone lines are always open. 1-888-SBT-BUZZ, 1-888-728-2899.

HAMMER: Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp teaming up for the very first time. We`ve got the video today you have got to see.

Poof goes the pouf: Snooki ditches her signature do. Why, Snooki? Now all we have to hold on to is your orangeness.

And is Snooki one of the best dressed in Hollywood? One of the worst? The fabulous and the fashion flops revealed today. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "Showbiz News Ticker", more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Did you see this? A "Dancing with the Stars" Bristol diss? So I was watching the TV today and I saw this explosive promo for the new season of "Dancing with the Stars" featuring Bristol Palin. Take a look at this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: There`s a new maverick on the dance floor.

BRISTOL PALIN, SARAH PALIN`S DAUGHTER: Vote for me.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You can see the trophy from her house.

PALIN: I want to win this competition.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Bristol Palin joins "Dancing with the Stars," live Monday 8:00, 7:00 Central kicking off red carpet premiere week on ABC.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: All right, here`s the deal, it seems, well, obviously, they`re making fun of Bristol`s mom Sarah. You remember all those Tina Fey "SNL" skits, right?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

AMY POEHLER, "SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE": I believe that diplomacy should be the cornerstone of any foreign policy.

TINA FEY, "SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE": And I can see Russia from my house.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: And the thing is, I don`t know who knows what here. If Bristol and Sarah signed off on the promo, obviously, good, good for them. They have a sense of humor about everything, but if not, Brooke, I`m thinking that they`re probably not going to be all that happy to see that finished product.

ANDERSON: A.J., I cannot imagine that they would not be in on the joke.

HAMMER: Yes.

ANDERSON: Bristol and Sarah, obviously, know how to laugh at themselves, not take themselves too seriously. And heck, it`s a reality show. It`s meant to be entertaining, and I think they get that.

All right.

A.J., did you see Ben Affleck`s interview today? I loved what he had to say about his wife, Jennifer Garner. It was really sweet. Ben was on "Live with Regis and Kelly" this morning. He`s making the rounds for his new movie called "The Town".

Well, Regis asked Ben how he and Jen balance their very busy careers while raising their two young daughters. Listen.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BEN AFFLECK, ACTOR: I`m not even making this up. My wife is amazing. She`s an amazing woman. I don`t try to pretend that, you know, like we both do our equal share of the workload, you know what I mean? You know how it is for me and her?

It`s her. She does an amazing, amazing job. I try to keep up with her. She`s an extraordinary woman. I mean, she juggles work and family and -- and you know, sort of makes it all run, so, I`m lucky.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: What a guy. And supermom Jen, right? Those two, I think, really do the Hollywood couple thing very well, and they put family above their careers which is obvious. And that`s critical.

HAMMER: Time now for the "Showbiz Lineup". Here`s what`s coming up at the bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Did Oprah trip over a free trip today? Why some are actually angry about Oprah giving her audience a free trip to Australia.

It`s a brand new reality star smack down today. We`ve got "Jersey Shore`s" "The Situation" taking on Kim Kardashian. Place your bets now.

And, "Glee" star, the amazing Jane Lynch in her emotional revelations to Ellen today. How Ellen helped Jane tell the world she`s gay. It is inspiring.

This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Time now for the "Showbiz News Ticker", more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WINFREY: We are going to Australia. We are going to Australia.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Big news breaking today on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Oprah`s free trip controversy: why some are actually upset at Oprah for giving her audience a free Australian adventure.

The big "Situation"/Kardashian smack down today. The "Jersey Shore" Ab Man is taking on Kim K.

Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp teaming up for the very first time, and we`ve got the amazing video.

Plus, breaking today from the "Showbiz News Ticker", Taylor Swift`s brand new Target deal, and Kanye West`s big movie announcement.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. Hey, A.J., big news breaking in "The Buzz Today".

HAMMER: That`s right, everybody talking about Oprah`s free Australian adventure. She gave her entire audience a free trip but there`s actually controversy today over who is picking up the tab.

That star-studded telethon for cancer research raises big bucks.

Plus, the big secret Scarlett Johansson`s husband just revealed today about their marriage.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Scarlett Johansson`s marriage secrets revealed. Scarlett`s hubby Ryan Reynolds is opening up more than ever before about their marriage in this month`s "GQ" magazine. He says he and Scarlett try to protect their private lives from tabloid scrutiny.

Quote, "Things change when you get married in general, but in terms of being a couple that`s in a public situation and speculated about and all that nonsense, it`s changed a little bit. I`m a little bit more wary of having my relationship turning into a soap opera."

Big bucks for cancer: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT just learned the star-studded "Stand Up To Cancer" telethon raised more than $80 million since its September 10th broadcast. Donations are still coming in so that total could climb. "Stand Up to Cancer" was a smash success and was watched by more than 18 million people.

Oprah`s trip trouble --

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WINFREY: We are going to Australia.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: A brand new controversy erupted after Oprah Winfrey announced she`s flying 300 of her biggest fans to Australia. Oprah just announced she`ll be taping at least two episodes of her show Down Under, and now the Australian government is under fire locally, for paying for the whole thing, almost $3 million bucks.

The country`s tourism minister says with her millions of fans, the publicity Oprah would bring is well worth the cost.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: So is all this angst over Oprah`s big Aussie trip just a lot of hot air? Isn`t Oprah`s big trip just a win-win situation?

Speaking of "Situation", wait until you hear about the brand new smack down between "The Jersey Shore" star "The Situation" and reality star Kim Kardashian.

Right now from Hollywood is Sam Rubin. Sam is the entertainment reporter for KTLA-TV. Sam is also the host of a "Hollywood Uncensored with Sam Rubin" on Real Channel. With me in New York, Janell Snowden, she is the host of VH1 News.

I`ve got to begin with the brand new controversy that`s brewing over Oprah`s big trip to Australia. Now, when Oprah made her big announcement on her very first TV show, her first one of her new and last season on Monday, she made it perfectly clear just who was paying the bill. Take a look.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WINFREY: We have been secretly plotting, planning this trip of a lifetime for almost a year, with everyone at Tourism Australia, and they are ready to roll out the Red Carpet for all 300 of us. Can you believe that? Ok.

Hi Andrew.

ANDREW: How are doing?

WINFREY: Nice to see you. Nice to see you.

This is Andrew, everybody.

ANDREW: Good day, everyone.

WINFREY: Good day, everyone.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: And now people in Australia are ticked off about that. It`s just unfortunate that every time Oprah does something good, people find some way to attack it. I think, taking 300 of her biggest fans to Australia is going to be the biggest boon Australia tourism has ever seen.

Sam Rubin, so what if Australia`s paying for it?

RUBIN: I tell you what, I don`t think it`s a problem at all, A.J. And the fact of the matter is this has been in the works for a long time. Australia initially was talking with Ellen and her show, and then somehow word about that got around. Oprah`s people caught onto the idea, and frankly, Oprah trumped Ellen in taking the Australian trip.

Ellen was interested in bringing her program down there, as well. Oprah got the deal, instead. I think this is a win, win, win, all the way around for the people in the studio audience, obviously; for Oprah, big headlines, big splash.

And this is going to bring a lot of attention to Australia. When people go down there, they love it and tell other people. I think Oprah will express the same sentiment when she goes down there.

HAMMER: Yes, I think people complaining this -- about this are just being silly. Are you with me Janell? People need to back off.

SNOWDEN: Totally. Because what does it mean, is the trip going to be less fun because the Australian government paid for it versus Oprah? Who cares? Anybody complaining is just a hater. They need to just let everything have fun. Go, enjoy come tell everybody else about it. And then we`ll all book our own trips and maybe they`ll be happy if we pay it for ourselves.

HAMMER: Brooke Anderson, I imagine you`re on the same page with all of us here.

ANDERSON: Absolutely. And Janell, you`re right, the haters just need to chill. The buzz, publicity and potential income generated by the announcement and by the trip are going to far exceed the cost of this thing.

And so, you know, Oprah, everything she touches turns to gold, Australia benefitting big time here in the long run.

Ok, so, I say, no Oprah situation here, but "The Situation" as in the "Jersey Shore" star Mike Sorrentino is getting into his own situation with Kim Kardashian.

Listen to this. According to a brand new report, "The Sitch" thinks he`s bigger than Kim K. "Us Weekly" is reporting that during negotiations for a deal, "The Sitch`s" manager said that "The Situation" was bigger than Kim Kardashian. Sam, do you agree?

RUBIN: I tell you what, this is almost laughable. The fact that there would even be a comparison between two people of this ilk is kind of hilarious to me. I think when push comes to shove Kim Kardashian actually will have much more longevity than "The Situation." I think really, the bottom line, Kim Kardashian and the various entities she`s involved with make more money than "The Situation."

ANDERSON: Yes.

RUBIN: And I think, Kim has elongated this 15 minutes of fame much longer than "The Situation" ever will. So I think --

ANDERSON: Yes and let`s talk about some of the things that you mentioned that she`s involved with, Sam. Because our crack team of SHOWBIZ TONIGHT researchers did some digging today.

So here are the stats, all right. Kim K. has her reality show, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians", a perfume, a workout DVD, her very own sunless tanner, a jewelry line, a clothing boutique. Her autobiography will be released in November. And she has her very own wax figure at Madam Tussaud`s. All right.

Then there`s "The Situation" stat. He stars on MTV`s hit show, "Jersey Shore." He`s going to be a contestant on "Dancing with the Stars." He`s got a workout DVD due this December and a clothing line in the works.

Janell, I`m thinking, though, that "The Situation`s" ego is getting bigger than his portfolio of accomplishments. When you size them up, to Kim K.`s assets, do you think he`s bigger than her?

SNOWDEN: Are you kidding me? Why are we even talking about this guy? Like, who cares? I mean, seriously, like who is he going to be in another couple of seasons, if they get another couple of seasons? Let him have his little vodka line or whatever else he`s working on and then let him go back to working at the T-shirt shop and I frankly don`t want to hear his name again.

"The Sitch" is that we`re calling him? Let him sit down.

ANDERSON: Yes we`re going shorten it to "The Sitch". A.J., your thoughts, is "The Sitch" bigger than Kim K.?

HAMMER: Let me make this perfectly clear and I`ll keep it simple; in his mind, absolutely.

Let me now move on from "The Situation`s" inflated ego to Snooki`s deflated pouf. This is just mind-blowing.

The equally famous "Jersey Shore" star Snooki has now shed her trademark pouf for a more demure look. It`s a big change for her. I mean, take a look at that. This new do made its debut on the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards this past Sunday. I liked the old look.

But Sam Rubin, I mean, I think this new look is quite lovely, don`t you?

RUBIN: I tell you what, I think of all the "Jersey Shore" people, and I don`t mean to be mean-spirited here, I think Snooki has the very least to offer.

So, the fact that her hairstyle generates a little bit of attention, you know, elongates her fame for another 30 or 40 seconds, but of all these people, I think you`re going to hear -- I think she`s going to drop off the --

HAMMER: The face of the earth?

RUBIN: -- quicker than the rest of them.

HAMMER: Ok, Brooke I know that Snooki is talking about her new pouf. What is she saying about her pouf going poof?

ANDERSON: Yes she is. First I have to say that I`m -- I`m mourning the disappearance of the pouf. But -- but anyway, the pint-sized party girl says that she just wanted a change, telling "People," magazine, "It`s definitely a new look, but I think it`s a good look that suits me. I want to look more mature. The pouf, I`ve been wearing it since I was 16, so why not switch it up?"

You know, I think you could see that pouf coming a mile away. It was like a lighthouse beacon warning us of her impending arrival. A.J., I got to say, it`s dangerous not to have a Snooki heads-up.

HAMMER: That`s true. And that brings up a great point. We really need her to wear a hat that`s like a beacon on her or something like that.

All right. We`ll leave it there, Sam Rubin and Janell Snowden, thanks guys.

ANDERSON: All right.

I`ve got to move now to another major bombshell story today: the best and worst dressed stars in Hollywood are revealed today. Who is a fashion force? And who is a fashion disaster?

Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp; for the first time Angelina and Johnny are teaming up. Their amazing new video revealed today.

And "Glee" star Jane Lynch`s revelation to Ellen DeGeneres about revealing that she is gay.

And the surprises, well, they don`t stop there.

This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Here comes the "Showbiz News Ticker", more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Lady Gaga obviously knows how to make a statement on the Red Carpet. Just look at her Red Carpet style. Well, today, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT tells you if Lady Gaga`s over the top outfits landed her a spot on "People" magazine`s best dressed list.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.

Brooke, I think it is safe to say, Lady Gaga certainly pushes the envelope when it comes to creative fashion.

ANDERSON: Yes.

HAMMER: But best dressed? I`m not so sure.

ANDERSON: Yes, me either, A.J. And just today, "People" magazine released their coveted list of the best and worst dressed celebrities. And you might be surprised who made the cut.

Right now, in New York is Pamela Edwards-Christiani, she`s the style and beauty editor for "People".

Pamela, the buzz around Lady Gaga`s meat dress has not died down and I can understand why. I mean, who wears raw meat to an awards show, right? I seriously call that a fashion faux pas, if there ever was a fashion faux pas.

But Pamela, Lady Gaga is known for her eccentric style. I mean, for crying out loud, she wore latex to meet the Queen of England.

PAMELA EDWARDS-CHRISTIANI, STYLE & BEATY EDITOR, PEOPLE MAGAZINE: Absolutely.

ANDERSON: So, does she make the best or the worst dressed list?

EDWARDS-CHRISTIANI: Look, actually, she isn`t in either in this section if you look at the magazine. But we could not ignore her. I mean, you have to pay homage to her. She`s an artist and she`s amazing.

It`s pure art. And whether you love her or hate her, I mean you have to appreciate that she just expresses herself in such an amazing way. Millions of people love her and they want to see what she`s wearing as much as they want to hear that voice. So we could not have ignored Lady Gaga.

I mean, if that`s the worst --

ANDERSON: I think it`s appropriate she didn`t make either Pamela --

EDWARDS-CHRISTIANI: That`s right.

ANDERSON: -- because she likes to remain kind of androgynous.

EDWARDS-CHRISTIANI: Exactly. So she`s right in the middle, between best and worst. And there`s a lovely picture, we can see all of her fantastic get-ups over the last year.

ANDERSON: All right. Well, we`ve got to get now to more of the memorable, well, one of the more memorable styles of the year, and that is cute little Justin Bieber`s hair. I love that his hair made the list, or made your issue.

We know that -- that Jennifer Aniston started a trend when she got the Rachel haircut when she was on "Friends."

EDWARDS-CHRISTIANI: Yes.

ANDERSON: So Pamela, are men running to the salon to get the Bieb`s bangs?

EDWARDS-CHRISTIANI: Look, it`s like Beatle Mania, girls, little girls and boys are running to get this hair. This side-swept bang, it`s just a phenomenal thing. People love it.

Again, tweens and teens, female and male, they`re all loving it. We`re seeing it all across the country for both boys and girls. So it`s not just for boys, it`s for everybody.

ANDERSON: He`s cute and he knows it. And he will even demonstrate, if asked, how to style that type of hair, right?

EDWARDS-CHRISTIANI: Absolutely. Yes, he`s not shy about that. He`s very proud of that bangs.

ANDERSON: Oh he`s adorable.

Ok, from Bieber`s bangs to Brad Pitt`s facial hair.

EDWARDS-CHRISTIANI: Yes.

ANDERSON: You know, a lot of people, including myself, rejoiced when Brad finally decided to shave off the facial hair because he was sporting it for what, almost ten months.

EDWARDS-CHRISTIANI: That`s right.

ANDERSON: Pamela, Brad`s facial hair makes "People`s" list but was that because it was a hit or a miss?

EDWARDS-CHRISTIANI: Well, the moment is when he actually let go of it. That`s what made the list, we were so -- we were waiting, that moment, in July, for him to just get rid of "The Lost" beard whatever you want to call it. But actually that`s, in fact, what we were so excited about, when he let it go.

So if he moved on into the couple of sections --

ANDERSON: He kind of --

EDWARDS-CHRISTIANI: -- he`s there again, and Angelina is looking at him adoringly. He`s just all clean shaven, and he`s total like hunky Brad again.

ANDERSON: Oh, we love that, and they can rock the Red Carpet glamour or they can rock the dressed down casual.

EDWARDS-CHRISTIANI: That`s right.

ANDERSON: It doesn`t matter. And I`ve got to talk about Brad`s ex, Jennifer Aniston, Pamela, because she makes "People`s" best dressed list of women.

EDWARDS-CHRISTIANI: Absolutely.

ANDERSON: And I`m thinking she never makes a fashion faux pas, does she?

EDWARDS-CHRISTIANI: She doesn`t, you know, she really loves clean lines and she loves very simple silhouettes. She doesn`t use a lot of flashy color or anything like that.

What`s most important with Jennifer is that her body is fantastic. And she knows how to pick clothes that show that body off just so. Just right.

She`s sexy, but never too much. We see these great legs, these great thighs --

ANDERSON: Yes.

EDWARDS-CHRISTIANI: -- all of it. It looks fantastic and women want to look like her.

ANDERSON: She`s got a -- yes a classic, clean, very timeless look.

EDWARDS-CHRISTIANI: Absolutely.

ANDERSON: Pamela Edwards-Christiani, thank you so much.

EDWARDS-CHRISTIANI: Thank you.

ANDERSON: And to read more about this year`s best and worst dress list, pick up your copy of "People" on new stands Friday.

HAMMER: Two superstars come together for the very first time. I`m talking Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp. Their brand new movie is "The Tourist" will be in theaters in December. But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has your first look at it today.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOHNNY DEPP, ACTOR: It all started when I met a woman on the train.

ANGELINA JOLIE, ACTRESS: I`m Elise.

DEPP: I`m Frank.

JOLIE: That`s a terrible name.

DEPP: Yes, it`s the only one I`ve got.

JOLIE: Maybe we can find you another.

DEPP: Ok.

I have a strange feeling that those two people over there are watching us.

JOLIE: I think you`re right.

DEPP: Really?

JOLIE: No.

Frank? Come with me. Elise Ward. And husband.

DEPP: You`re ravenous.

JOLIE: Do you mean ravishing?

DEPP: I do.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: All right. Grab him.

DEPP: Hello? I need help. There are two men trying to break down the door.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What kind of problem do you have with the door, sir?

DEPP: No, no there are two men with guns trying to break in. And I got to go.

Why is everyone trying to kill me?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Alexander Pierce, stole big money from a gangster. They think you are him.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The man is a criminal wanted in 14 countries.

JOLIE: It`s gone too far. You were part of a plan.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: This is exactly why she chose him -- to distract us.

JOLIE: I am sorry I got you involved in all of this.

DEPP: Why are you involved?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You know he will be with her.

DEPP: Elise.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You wish to report a murder.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Attempted murder.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That`s not so serious.

DEPP: Not when you downgrade it from murder. But when you upgrade it from room service, it`s quite serious.

I don`t regret it, you know. Kissing you.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: You know that`s going to be huge. Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp`s "The Tourist" will be in theaters December 10th.

ANDERSON: Talking about red hot.

Fox`s hit "Glee" is on fire right now. And star Jane Lynch is opening up to Ellen DeGeneres today about her decision to reveal she`s gay. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

This is the "Showbiz News Ticker", more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Making news today, "Glee`s" Jane Lynch and her brand new revelations to Ellen. Jane, who plays cheerleading coach, Sue Sylvester sits down with Ellen DeGeneres today to reveal new revelations today about revealing she`s a lesbian.

Jane a recent Emmy Award winner for her spectacular role on "Glee" also revealed another shocking surprise. Jane praised Ellen for paving the way for her to take a stand and pursue her Hollywood career as an out and proud lesbian.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JANE LYNCH, CHARACTER ACTRESS, "GLEE": I was more closeted in my life when I was younger. By the time I started to do work where people knew who I was, I just never made the choice to hide, you know, that I was gay. I kind of just, you know, by the time you get to be our age, Ellen --

ELLEN DEGENERES, HOST, "THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW": Yes.

LYNCH: -- there are no big deals anymore.

DEGENERES: Right.

LYNCH: And I used to just lay out in bed saying, you know -- how will I -- will I come out or won`t I come out and --

DEGENERES: Well, when you say that -- but there are a lot of people that`s still are in this business --

LYNCH: Yes it`s a big deal.

DEGENERES: -- that are scared to death to do that --

LYNCH: Yes.

DEGENERES: -- because they would think that it would hurt their career and you`re career is bigger than ever, and that it hasn`t hurt you at all --

LYNCH: No.

DEGENERES: -- so that`s --

LYNCH: And that`s, you know, not just to -- because you are sitting with me, but that`s because of people like you. You were at the height of your fame and you came out. And that just blazed a trail for me. It really did and it made it so much easier for me when you did.

DEGENERES: Oh it`s ok. You`re welcome.

LYNCH: I say it all of the time. I`m not as courageous as it seems.

DEGENERES: Well, people --

LYNCH: Well, you know, and let me make another point. I think and -- this isn`t great news, but it`s because I`m a character actor, I think, like -- if Julia Roberts were gay, I think it would be harder because she is an ingenue (ph).

DEGENERES: Right.

LYNCH: She`s you know, you want to whole project your hopes and dreams for love on -- like Brad Pitt --

DEGENERES: Right.

LYNCH: Dating myself here like `90s stars and not that he isn`t a huge star now.

DEGENERES: Right.

LYNCH: I mean, in his prime in the `90s.

DEGENERES: So you`re saying Julia Roberts is gay?

LYNCH: That`s what I`m saying. Right here on this show. She won`t admit it, but I`m here to tell you she`s gay. Julia Roberts is gay. You`re welcome, Julia.

DEGENERES: She needed a push.

LYNCH: Yes she did. And that`s the push she needed. And now she can join us.

DEGENERES: That`s -- that`s great that you helped her come out.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: I am sure Julia Roberts will get a big laugh from Ellen and Jane having some fun on her behalf.
