Now her estranged husband is on the loose. Tonight, I`ll talk to a devastated family member and a fellow psychic who`s working the case.

Plus, a horrifying discovery, almost too graphic for TV. Four dead babies found stuffed in coolers, covered in concrete, hidden in a closet. Another tiny baby dumped in a landfill. Did this woman murder her innocent newborn babies to hide an affair?

And boozed-up, naked and out of control. Hollywood bad boy Charlie Sheen smack-dab in the middle of a shocking new scandal. This time cops say Sheen was uncontrollably drunk and throwing furniture inside the famous Plaza Hotel. Tonight, you won`t believe who some people claim he was with.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Tonight, a family`s worst fears realized. A Colorado psychic missing for days is found bludgeoned to death on the side of the road, dumped like trash in a ravine.

Tonight, her allegedly abusive common-law husband is on the run. Where is he? Police, quote, "want to talk to him." What? I want to know why isn`t there a full-on, sound-the-alarm-bells manhunt for this guy?

Kathy Adams, known as Psychic K, was beaten to death, her injuries so bad her family will not be able to have an open-casket funeral. Her common-law husband, John Marks Jr. -- you see him right there -- disappeared at the very same time she did. He has not been seen since.

Kathy`s family suspected the worst from the very start. Here`s what they told me last week here on ISSUES.

JOEY ADAMS, NEPHEW OF KATHY J. ADAMS: John was a very abusive husband. I mean, this has been going on for a long time. My family actually paid a plane ticket for Kathy to come home on the weekend -- she went missing on October the 8th, and she was supposed to leave John that weekend.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Kathy`s family say she endured an abusive 20-year relationship with Marks and that she was finally going to leave him and even had a plane ticket in her hand.

Now, statistically, that is the most dangerous moment for a woman, when she decides to leave an abusive man. In a true war on women, did this common-law husband choose murder over separation, what`s called separation assault? That`s the term for it.

Straight out to my fantastic expert panel, but we begin with Joey Adams, the victim`s nephew. Joey Adams joins me by phone.

And Joey, I have to say our condolences. We`re so sorry for your loss. I know you were picking out caskets today. This has got to be a horrible time for you. Our hearts go out to you and your family.

We want to ask you: how do you think your aunt died, and who do you think is responsible for her death?

ADAMS (via phone): Well, Jane, we know she died brutally. When we spoke to the coroner yesterday, she was beaten to death, blunt-force trauma to the head, and basically put in the trunk of a car and thrown in a ravine.

We know for a fact that John Marks Jr. did it. I believe, from my understanding, an arrest warrant was issued for him today. We believe his family has involvement in this. Since day one they hired attorneys, would not cooperate with police, would not cooperate with us. His mother told my father to go look where my dead grandfather was. That`s where you`ll find Kathy Adams.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: What does that mean?

J. ADAMS: Means as you think. I mean, we know -- we believe his whole family had involvement in this.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, listen, I have to say, and I just say this for legal reasons is that, you know, nobody`s been convicted here, and we would love to get -- talk to this man. If you`re -- if you`re out there, OK, John Marks Jr., come out from whatever hole you`re hiding in and talk to us if you have any kind of an innocent explanation, or your family, we would like to hear it.

So we don`t know, obviously, independently, who`s -- who`s responsible. Nobody`s been convicted yet. But I totally understand your anger and your frustration, Joey. So do you think cops are doing enough to find him?

J. ADAMS: Like I said, we only know so much that they`re telling us. I know the detectives are being very quiet about it, because they`re waiting on all their forensic evidence to come back so they can have a hair-tight case against John.

From my understanding, like I said, they did issue arrest warrants today for him. And you know he just needs to get out there. He needs to turn himself in now.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Here`s my -- Joey, here`s my big issue. Why is there no big manhunt going on right now? You know, cops say they`d like to talk to John Marks Jr. I think that`s an understatement.

Her family, you`ve been saying she was abused for 20 years. When she tried to leave, she disappeared. So did he. Now she`s dead. She was killed by blunt-force trauma. He`s missing. Listen to what Kathy`s nephew, Joey, the same person we just heard from live, told us last week on ISSUES.

J. ADAMS: He`s an abusive -- there`s been all kind of crazy things. He`s been very abusive against her for the past 20 years.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Like what?

J. ADAMS: I mean, beating her up, holding her hostage before.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Pat Brown, criminal profiler, why aren`t they sounding all the alarm bells and putting this guy`s face everywhere and holding news conferences saying, "We`re looking for this guy"?

PAT BROWN, CRIMINAL PROFILER: My only guess, Jane, is that they believe the relatives are actually hiding him or helping him. Because obviously from what we`re hearing, they`re very supportive of him and perhaps anything he did to this poor woman.

So in -- my opinion is they may be thinking, well, she deserved it, and we`re going to help him out every way we can. So maybe they have their network going there, and they`re just trying to discover quietly where he`s at.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, listen, I don`t want to blame the family. We want to be fair here, and certainly we would invite anybody from this guy`s family on to tell their side of the story. And we have no independent knowledge that they are involved whatsoever.

However, obviously, the family of the victim is upset, understandably, and he does have, according to them, a history of abuse.

Shelley Hale, you`re a psychic investigator, and you have worked with law enforcement on numerous cases. You have been quoted as saying you believe that Kay, who is also a psychic, may have sensed what was in store for her, because of her special sense of perception that she had. Tell us about that.

SHELLEY HALE, PSYCHIC INVESTIGATOR: Well, absolutely. But I would say that John Marks Jr. and his family are cream of the crud, and I want to get him off the streets as soon as possible. His family is a bunch of what I would consider gypsy type...

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Let`s -- hey, hey, hey. I respect, you know, your conversation, but we`re not going to sit here and say things about people that have no opportunity right now to defend themselves.

I asked you a question, and the question was that you were quoted as saying you felt that she may have sensed what was in store for her, because of her special abilities. Can you address that specific point?

HALE: Yes. I think that she had an intuitive gift, and she had been in contact with her family and trying to be secretive about getting away from him. They were making arrangements the night before we suspect this incident happened.

She had an argument with her common-law husband, John Marks Jr. She called a relative at 2 or 3 in the morning and expressed her concerns. They made plans to wire the money to get her out of town the next day, and no one heard from her sense.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Now, there`s no telling how long Kathy Adams` body was laying in that ravine on the side of the road that a Google map shows you, a driver spotted the body Saturday off of U.S. Highway 36 near the Boulder/Larimer County line, which is not far from the area where her husband`s car was abandoned at a motel.

Now, Kay Adams` brother reported Kathy missing exactly two weeks ago when he hadn`t heard from her in several days, and when cops searched the home they found evidence of foul play.

So my question to Mike Brooks, HLN law enforcement analyst, what should cops do now to find this guy, given they don`t even have a car to go on?

MIKE BROOKS, HLN LAW ENFORCEMENT ANALYST: No. What apparently they don`t even really know exactly the date she disappeared, Jane. But if what Joey says is true, what he just said to you a minute ago, that there is a warrant for arrest, that says to me that they do have enough right now, enough probable cause, because you have to have P.C. to get an arrest warrant.

So that says to me that law enforcement is actively pursuing this and possibly waiting for more forensic to come back from his car, from her body, and from any other scene. Maybe there at the house also. So it takes -- it takes sometimes a little while to put this case together, but I`m optimistic if there is, in fact, an arrest warrant for this guy.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Elizabeth, New York, your question or thought, ma`am.

CALLER: Well, I have a comment. I understand this kind of murderous rage, because I divorced my abusive husband while he was in prison, and he kept threatening to kill me as soon as he was released. And when he did get released, he kidnapped my son, who was 4 at the time. My son cried so much for me that he brought him back and probably saved my life.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, we hear these stories all the time, and that`s why we here on ISSUES cover the war on women.

The most dangerous moment for a woman is when she decides to leave her abusive husband. And we`re going to talk more about that on the other side of the break. This tragic case sadly happens all the time.

J. ADAMS: She was deadly afraid of him, Jane. I mean, we`re fearing the worst right now. It doesn`t look good. We`re fearing that he killed her. I mean, the police is highly looking for him. They want to question him.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Breakings news tonight as a Colorado psychic is found dead, dumped in a ravine, and her common-law husband is nowhere to be found.

Kathy Adams` family says she endured years of abuse at the hands of John Marks Jr., and then she decided to leave, got a plane ticket and vanished. Did he kill her, allegedly, because she wanted to leave him?

We have on with us now another nephew of the victim, Sean Adams.

Sean, again, our condolences, our hearts go out to you. This has got to be a terrible time for you.

SEAN ADAMS, KATHY ADAMS`S NEPHEW (via phone): Jane, thank you. God bless you. Jane, this is a time where our family is just in an outrage. We`re very hurt. The emotions that we`re going through is just -- we don`t -- we`re going through so many mixed emotions, anger, hurt.

You know, Jane, first of all, I want to thank you. I want to thank HLN for constantly viewing this, for constantly posting her picture up. Without you guys, without your viewer support, I don`t believe we`re ever going to find this guy. I believe that the police department needs to get his picture everywhere, nationwide. It`s just an opinion. I don`t believe if he`s smart, I don`t believe that he`ll be in the United States.

You know, I know for a fact -- I know their financial situation. I know my aunt`s financial situation, John Marks` situation, where they were at financially. So I know -- allegedly, I know that the family financially helped hill.

The only thing that we want to do, Jane, is you want to bring this guy in. You know, we need closure for our family in order to at least set something aside as far as justice.

I believe that the police need to just start pushing this. I don`t understand -- I mean, I think Larimer County Police Department, the effort they`re putting forth, but I believe that this has been too long. I believe that they should have been a nationwide manhunt from the get-go.

Well, I`ve been talking about that. Mike Brooks, explain how it works. Because here`s the family saying, why does this not sound the alarm bells? Why is this, "we`d like to talk to him"?

BROOKS: Well, there, you have a case, Jane, and if they don`t have a warrant, then they would do what they can put out through the NCIC across the country, attempt to locate. But his car was recovered, so they`re just attempt to locate this gentleman, date of birth, race, that kind of thing. And if you have contact, contact Larimer County Sheriff`s Office.

Now, if Joey is right about them having an arrest warrant, then it is put out across the country with his information that there is a warrant for his arrest and also at places -- border crossings, these kind of things.

But if you`ve got to cross a border before the arrest warrant was put out, then possibly he could be gone. But I still have faith that they`re still working this case. And if they have -- if they do, in fact, have an arrest warrant, that is progress to me.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: All right. Well, let me go back to Sean Adams, the nephew of this victim. This common-law husband that they`re seeking right now...

S. ADAMS: Yes.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: ... reportedly has a criminal history: driving while impaired, drug possession. What do you know about -- first of all, how did he make his money? What can you tell us about this guy?

S. ADAMS: From what I understand, he made his money just off of buying and selling used cars.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Uh-oh, used car salesman.

S. ADAMS: Yes. And basically off his family`s finances. This guy was a bum. If you`re listening, you`re a bum. At least you could have done, 18 years, 20 years of life, you could have had the decency to leave her in the house. You understand? But they went, Jane, and they buried her three miles from his son`s house, Adam Marks. What kind of father would do that? Do you understand? What kind of husband does that?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: OK. Joey -- listen, Sean, I`ve got to jump in here. And for very important legal reasons, I want to say -- hold on -- for very important legal reasons, I want to say nobody`s been convicted in this case.

And we have absolutely no knowledge that the family of this common-law husband, who is being sought by police, was involved, and they`re invited on to tell their side any time. We want to be very clear about that. We want to be fair. But I understand, Sean, your anger. I really do.

You know, Jane, this is the point where a life -- Kathy was such a sweet person. All of her life she raised his family, his grandchildren, provided a life for them. And she was just nothing -- she was the type of person that my grandfather, Louis Adams, when she would walk into my grandfather`s house, Jane, the man`s face would just light up of happiness. How much of a beautiful person she was, the respect that she would give her father, her family, Jane.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: We`ve got to...

S. ADAMS: How do you kill somebody like this?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Our condolences. Our hearts go out to you. And up next...

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Shocking new developments in the Tyra Banks lawsuit. Last week we told you Tyra is being sued for a whopping $3 million by a self-proclaimed sex addict`s mom.

The mom says her 15-year-old daughter was featured on the "Tyra Banks Show" in October of 2009 without the mother`s consent. The daughter named Jewel responded to an open call for sex addicts on Tyra`s Web site and then show producers allegedly called the girl`s cell and arranged for a paid appearance and whisked her from Atlanta to New York. And now Jewel is making a stunning admission about the real reason she went on the show to CBS.

JEWEL, APPEARED ON "TYRA BANKS SHOW": I was infatuated with Tyra Banks, watched the show every day. Just wanted to try it out.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Did you think, though, well, I could probably get away with this and Mom won`t find out? And I can forge these slips and go up there to New York, and I`ll be none the wiser for it?

JEWEL: Yes.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes?

JEWEL: Yes.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: She`s a minor. She`s a teenager.

Tyra and her people are not commenting on this suit.

Straight out to Wanda Jackson and George Lawson, the attorneys for the girl`s mom.

George, "The Tyra Banks Show" might argue, "Hey, we`ve got a consent form here with a signature on it." What would your response be to that, sir?

GEORGE LAWSON, ATTORNEY FOR JEWEL`S MOTHER: Absolutely not. They do not have a valid consent form with the mother`s signature on it.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: So, in other words, she forged it, Wanda? What happened there?

WANDA JACKSON, ATTORNEY FOR JEWEL`S MOTHER: Yes, she did, absolutely. And just the cursory look at the signature and Ms. McClendon`s signature, anyone can see, a layperson, let alone an expert, that the signatures are completely different and actually looks like Jewel`s signature. The signature of the mother is in the handwriting of the child.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, Jewel has, of course, changed her tune since appearing on Tyra. A year ago she said she thinks about sex all day long and made some really stunning claims about her behavior. Take a look at this from "The Tyra Banks Show."

JEWEL: It`s like I`m trapped a dark place, like with no light shining down. I feel like I`m a prisoner. I know that I need help for this. I mean, I know (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Jewel claimed she lost her virginity at age 9, had sex with more than 20 men, feared she`d contracted herpes and got pregnant three times.

Wanda, your client has said her daughter was never diagnosed as a sex addict. Were all these outrageous claims basically made up by a teenager with an overactive imagination?

LAWSON: They were not necessarily made up by the teenager. When the child went to "The Tyra Banks Show," she was briefed. She was given some ideas of what questions she would be asked. And she was also given some suggested answers as to what she should say, how she should respond emotionally. You had an infatuated child who would do anything just to make sure she got on "The Tyra Banks Show."

VELEZ-MITCHELL: But Wanda, I`m asking you, were her claims made up? Was she pregnant three times? Did she start having sex at age 9? Or is that just a teenager making stuff up?

JACKSON: I don`t have any information to substantiate or corroborate that. As we all know, no one would know except those two persons who were involved. She`s saying that those things were made up.

But the issue is that, why would you exploit this child if you thought those things happened? Why would you exploit her, especially without the mother`s permission or consent? It`s dangerous.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Yes.

JACKSON: It was reckless, yes. Just totally incomprehensible. She`s 15. If you thought she had that kind of problem, why would you put her on national television?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Got to leave it right there, Wanda and George. Great arguments. Come back soon.

Did a mom kill many newborn babies, all to hide her affair?

First tonight: a gruesome, heartbreaking, mind-boggling discovery inside a mother`s home -- and I mean mind-boggling. The tiny bodies of her four babies stashed inside a closet. A fifth infant`s remains found in a landfill.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Through DNA testing, the defendant and her boyfriend have been linked as the biological parents.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Police say Michelle Kalina somehow kept all of her pregnancies a total secret. And then murdered each baby shortly after birth and then stuffed them inside plastic containers.

THERESA JOHNSON, 1ST ASSISTANT DA, BERKS COUNTY, Pennsylvania: In all instances the infant had been wrapped and then placed in the bag.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I think shocking is another adjective that could be used for this discovery.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: You think? I think we need something better than "shocking". This allegedly murderous mom Michelle was leading a double life. She has a husband and she has a boyfriend. Both men told cops they had no clue whatsoever about any of her pregnancies. How is that possible?

Well, just wait until you hear the really bizarre excuses she made for why she was gaining weight every so often. Police say Michelle`s boyfriend of 14 years fathered those children. Was she killing them in order to destroy evidence of her double life to keep her affair secret from her husband? Could this gruesome case prompt a closer look at her disabled son who died ten years ago? That was ruled an accident.

Straight out to my fantastic expert panel: got to start with HLN law enforcement analyst Mike Brooks. Mike, these investigators say this is the strangest case they have ever seen. Would you agree?

MIKE BROOKS, HLN LAW ENFORCEMENT ANALYST: Oh, absolutely. I can`t think of a word for this case, Jane.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Me neither.

BROOKS: For investigators to put together a time line of when these babies were born, this goes back to 1996, investigators believe, Jane. So investigators, they`ve got their work ahead of them here because apparently she even moved the bodies of some of these babies from her old house to the new house. And we`re hearing that people who were cutting the lawn at her other house, the first house, said that the stench in the home was unbelievable.

Yes, you think? You had babies decomposing in these houses, Jane. This is unbelievable.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: None of this makes sense.

BROOKS: It doesn`t.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: And this family apparently moved a couple of years ago and as you say they allegedly took the dead babies in these plastic containers with them? And then the husband says that these babies were in a closet and that this woman you`re looking at here said, never looked into that closet.

I don`t know about you, but if I`m living with somebody and they say, hey, there`s a closet over there, never look into that closet. The first thing I`m going to do when they walk out the door is look into that closet.

We are delighted to have John Adams, the Berks County district attorney with us tonight who`s prosecuting this case. Mr. Adams, how do you explain these two clueless men, you know, especially considering the stench, et cetera, et cetera?

JOHN ADAMS, DISTRICT ATTORNEY, BERKS COUNTY (via telephone): Well, that`s a question that is yet to be answered, and we are continuing to investigate that. However, we don`t have any doubt that the boyfriend didn`t know. Whether or not the husband knew, that`s going to be difficult to know. But to date he`s not admitted anything.

I think you`ve got to look at some family dynamics here and understand that this is bizarre, as I`ve called it. I don`t know how many adjectives we can use: bizarre, shocking. We could use that to describe this incident time and time again.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: And this woman was some kind of nurse`s aide who worked with elderly patients. How bizarre is all of this?

Take a look at this woman. She is accused of giving birth to five kids, one after the other, secretly, hiding the pregnancies and then killing her offspring and sticking them in plastic containers.

And the boyfriend, who isn`t being identified, told cops he noticed Michelle`s stomach growing in 1996 after their affair began. Michelle told him it was because of cysts on her fallopian tubes and she spent a lot of time in hospital scrubs, which apparently covered her growing belly. I think she`s wearing hospital scrubs right there.

But Dr. Reef Karim, I don`t buy it, I don`t buy that that woman could hide that many pregnancies.

DR. REEF KARIM, PSYCHIATRIST: Yes, the first thing you think about in this case, you know, whether you compare it to the Andrea Yates case, the concept of postpartum psychosis is what you think about, which is basically there`s about 10 percent to 15 percent of women after they have a baby that get really depressed and a very small percentage of them get actually psychotic.

But what`s different in this case and what`s so bizarre about it is that after she kills these babies she collects them, moving them from location to location as was discussed. It`s almost like a memento or some bizarre, weird, like connection that she has.

And how do you hide being pregnant four or five times from these two guys? I mean, yes, the concept of a cyst is -- it`s not even plausible. A cyst is small. It`s not going to be the size of a woman`s belly when she`s pregnant. How do these guys not see that? I`m just fascinated by this.

BROOKS: The boyfriend was also in the medical field, Jane. You know, this guy, come on, what is he from the moon? I mean, this is -- how could he not have known? How?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Here`s my big issue. Why? Why would a woman allegedly murder five of her children? Michelle admits to being an alcoholic, which says a lot, and could partially explain her behavior.

And another feasible motive (AUDIO GAP), toxic secrets. Michelle had a secret lover, ok? So these babies came from that secret lover.

Jeff Brown, is it conceivable she killed these children one after another because she didn`t want her husband to find out she was cheating?

JEFF BROWN, CRIMINAL DEFENSE ATTORNEY: Yes. I think that`s plausible. I think that`s probably what happened here. There can be no question. I mean I`m not a psychiatrist, but come on, this woman has mental health issues. There`s no question.

But it`s really a sad, sad story on our society that this lady with obvious mental health issues is living amongst people and friends and co- workers and nobody sees this? Nobody reports this? Nobody reaches out to help this woman? This is sad to me.

I mean, that this woman is existing with these mental health issues over this period of time, and nobody knows and nobody reaches out. It`s unbelievable.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I want to go back to the district attorney here. She had a 13-year-old disabled son who died a decade ago. He had cerebral palsy and he was bedbound. The official cause of death was positional asphyxiation.

Reportedly there`s a possibility that some of these infants died of asphyxiation. Are you going to go back and reopen the case of the 13-year- old disabled boy to see if he really died accidentally or was murdered?

ADAMS: Well, it`s a possibility. We are aware of that previous conclusion by the pathologist of positional asphyxiation, but we will be looking into that as we`re going to be looking into many other things. This investigation is going to be ongoing. We have a lot of -- the clues we feel --

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Has she admitted it?

(CROSSTALK)

ADAMS: There`s got to be someone else out there that knows something.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Has she admitted it sir?

ADAMS: No.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: So what is she saying, all these babies just popped up in my house because the FedEx guy dropped them off here?

ADAMS: She denied that she had any babies. She denied that she ever had a stillborn birth. She has, in essence, denied anything to do with these five bodies despite the DNA evidence.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, yes. Thank God for DNA.

PAM, CALIFORNIA (via telephone): Hi, Jane. This is Pamela. And I am really concerned about this case because I`m a mother of two, and I`m aware of the changes your body goes through when you have a child. She had to go to the doctor somewhere in between one of those kids and five. Some doctor somewhere had to see her. I just can`t believe that she had five kids and no doctor has ever seen her.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, also, where did she give birth to these children, in the back of a taxi cab? I mean, somebody had to see something. And this is what`s so astounding about denial. Denial allows you to come up with explanations for anything, even if it`s staring you right in the face.

She was an alcoholic. Was there alcoholism in this family? You`ve got to wonder. Maybe that`s why they didn`t figure it out.

A very disturbing twist in the desperate search for a missing woman. Remember, Amanda Sinkhorn? We were all so worried about her. She disappeared from her college campus; her brother was waiting for her in the parking lot? Listen to what her frantic brother told us last week.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, maybe not so much. It turns out this woman wasn`t missing at all. She was found alive and well in -- want to take a guess -- Las Vegas with that husband of hers that the brother was complaining about. It turns out Amanda may have been using her college loans for cash.

Reports say she actually called the college to see when more moolah was coming and going to be added to her debit card. You know, they say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Thank God that`s not true in this case.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Ha-ha-ha, not so funny tonight, Charlie. Charlie Sheen reportedly melts down and goes berserk. A shocking scene at the Plaza Hotel, 2:00 in the morning, cops race to the world-famous Manhattan Hotel after claims that Sheen is out of control, drunk, naked, and throwing furniture around.

TMZ reporting a woman who was with him says they were drinking before -- you think -- drinking before he allegedly trashed the room and that she was so scared she locked herself, naked, in the bathroom and called security.

"Life and Style" magazine says that woman, that naked woman in the closet, scared, was an escort.

Despite the mayhem, when police arrived, ok, want to take a guess? Did they arrest him? Did they arrest him? Take a guess. No. They reportedly classified him as an EDP, which is cop talk for emotionally- disturbed person. They got that right, I guess.

But they gave him a choice. Oh, you can go to the station house or you can go to the hospital. How many of us have that choice when police knock on our hotel room door? And get this, his ex-wife Denise Richards went along with him, Denise and their two daughters who are reportedly staying in the next room.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Meantime, an outrageous claim from Charlie`s camp. His PR rep is saying that this whole thing was caused by -- once again, do you want to take a guess -- oh no, there it is right there, an adverse allergic reaction to medication. Really? Seriously? Please. Please. Don`t insult our intelligence constantly. This -- come on -- an allergic reaction?

Straight out to Mike Walters, assignment manager of TMZ; I`m almost scared to ask you, what is the very latest?

MIKE WALTERS, ASSIGNMENT MANAGER, TMZ: Well, Jane, here`s the big shocker of all of it. We are 100 percent sure he was intoxicated, NYPD told us that. We know from the woman that he was drinking inside. She was drinking. She ended up calling 911 from the bathroom.

Here`s the best part of the whole story. Charlie Sheen is not going to rehab. He`s not going back to Promises in LA. He`s on an airplane as we speak on his way back to L.A. -- to what -- have a good night`s sleep in his own bed. Charlie Sheen does not think still that he has a problem, even though a lot of people around him are telling us he`s in a desperate situation. They even fear for his life at this point.

So really interesting that Charlie is taking that road, but a lot of unbelievable events. By the way, Jane, he has to be on a movie set on Friday and he plans on being there, bright and early.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Oh I guess he`s one of those -- I was one of those, I am one of those alcoholics -- but when I was in my disease and drinking, I would say, well, I work hard and I play hard. And that`s how I justify it. And he probably is using that same pattern.

Does Charlie Sheen have a pattern of alleged violent outbursts? You think? Remember this chilling 911 call placed by his now-estranged wife Brooke Mueller last Christmas.

BROOKE MUELLER, CHARLIE SHEEN`S EX-WIFE: My husband had me with a knife, and I`m scared for my life. And he threatened me.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Ok. Are you guys separated right now?

MUELLER: Yes, right now we have people that are separating us. But I have to file the report or else --

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Ok. Are there other people there? Does he still have the knife?

MUELLER: Yes, he still does.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: All right. Sheen was arrested on domestic violence charges and then released on bond after that.

Here`s my big issue. Charlie`s rep is claiming that this reported outburst at the Plaza Hotel was an allergic reaction. I`ve got to toss that one out to Danny Bonaduce.

This guy was arrested in `96 for allegedly knocking a woman out, in `97 he was charged with misdemeanor battery against an ex and 2005 Denise Richards, you just heard from, alleged he was so violent -- take it away.

DANNY BONADUCE, ACTOR & RADIO TALK SHOW HOST: I will. I`ll tell you this. Allergic reaction, I will not accept.

I think there`s two problems. One, semi-amusing and one tragic and being I think ignored by the police. The -- the humorous one is an allergic reaction.

My girlfriend is allergic to shellfish. If she eats a shrimp she breaks out in a rash. I`m pretty sure Charlie Sheen breaks out in a rash fairly frequently but I don`t think it gives him the right to break up a hotel room.

The part I think that people are missing is he just signed on to be the highest paid man in television. He just dodged jail on domestic violence and went to rehab instead of prison. If he were not, here`s the scary part, literally not intact of his faculties -- I`m saying actually crazy -- he would have protected that at all costs.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Don`t miss Joy Behar`s interview with Denise Richards, Charlie Sheen`s ex-wife. She was there for this whole fracas. Tonight, 9:00 Eastern, HLN -- got to check it out.

Sounds like a lot of wishful thinking on the part of the judge who said "no" to ending Charlie`s probation on drug charges back in 1999. Tonight, reports Charlie Sheen`s mind-bogglingly alleged meltdown.

I`m over-excited about this story, clearly. I can`t even speak at this point. My big question is why was this actor not arrested? Dr. Reef Karim, psychiatrist and addiction expert, weigh in on this.

KARIM: Yes. I mean what we`re seeing here is a consistent pattern of an individual that when they drink -- and this is what happens in many alcoholics -- things happen, things change in their brain chemistry and their filter towards normal behavior, like oh, maybe I shouldn`t throw this chair or punch a hole in the wall, or do this or do that, gets wiped out. So they get completely violent during the times that they drink.

But for whatever reason, your brain tricks you into thinking every time you drink, you`re ok, and nothing bad is going to happen to you. My job as a psychiatrist and an addiction doctor is sometimes to help people to save people from themselves.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Yes.

KARIM: Because a lot of the times, you`re possessed when you drink and you can`t think properly, and the other factor here is alcoholism is a spiritual disease. What that means is that a lot of people don`t like themselves --

VELEZ-MITCHELL: It means he`s not a very spiritual person, I guess. I want to go to Rose from South Carolina; your question or thought, ma`am?

ROSE, SOUTH CAROLINA (via telephone): Hey, Jane.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Hey.

ROSE: I remember years ago when Charlie used to go to Heidi Fleiss`s brothel. He would pay like $40,000 a night for a prostitute and I guess he could beat her up and do whatever he wanted to her. But he has shamed his family, he beats all his wives, but he`s the highest paid actor on television.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Yes.

ROSE: How about Lindsay Lohan? She can`t even afford her rehab.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: You make -- Rose, fantastic points. That was Heidi Fleiss. He did admit using her call girl service 27 times and running up a tab of more than 50 grand, Danny Bonaduce. And he`s making almost $2 million an episode, I understand, on his "Two-and-a-Half Men.

BONADUCE: The exact price tag on the check -- and who pays prostitutes by check -- the exact check was $57,000 to Heidi Fleiss. Here`s where I disagree with the doctor just a little bit, sir. I think you`re mostly correct for the first part but I don`t think we`re seeing a consistent pattern with Charlie Sheen. I think we`re seeing a very dangerous escalation.

First it`s drugs, then it`s fist assault, then it`s a knife to the throat. Now it`s naked like a maniac in a hotel room. Somebody is going to get hurt. I think somebody needs to look into Charlie`s mind a little closer than just his medicine cabinet.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, let me tell you something. We`re out of time, but really, for your own sake, Charlie, get it together before you hit a really bad rock bottom.
