Taylor`s love drama. Taylor Swift`s explosive new interview today about who her songs are really about.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TAYLOR SWIFT, SINGER: As the years have gone on, I`ve continued to write about my life and the people in it.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: The SHOWBIZ Flashpoint today - could singing about her love life backfire?

Jessica Simpson`s brand-new revelations today. What happened when she just bumped into ex, Nick Lachey? Plus, Jessica`s surprising confessions about food.

Jane Fonda - the very first look today at her brand new workout video.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JANE FONDA, ACTRESS: This is great for the back and shoulders.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: She`s 72.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show starts right now.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

HAMMER: Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer, coming to you from Hollywood with Brooke Anderson.

BROOKE ANDERSON, CO-HOST: And A.J., there`s big news breaking today - Charlie Sheen hospitalized. Just days before Sheen is set to be off probation for a domestic violence charge, he`s back in the headlines again.

HAMMER: Right. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT learned today that Sheen was staying at a New York City hotel for what was supposed to be a visit with two of his young kids. Instead, it turned into a made-for-Hollywood drama. Sheen reportedly trashed the hotel room in a drunken outburst.

A law enforcement official tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that Sheen appeared emotionally disturbed and was taken to the hospital. That is just the start of this outrageous night in the city.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) Charlie Sheen, a hardcore bad boy with a history of hard partying, substance abuse and, shall we say, bad relationships with women. And New York City, a town where one can indulge his every vice 24/7. What happens when you mix the two? Nothing good.

Charlie Sheen was hospitalized today after a shocking wild night in New York City where cops reportedly found him drunk and naked in his trashed hotel room with a mysterious female guest.

CHARLIE SHEEN, ACTOR: You guys are no fun. I`m going to call a hooker.

HAMMER: It`s another major meltdown for the bad boy star of TV`s number one sitcom, "Two and a Half Men." And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has all the brand- new late-breaking details about Sheen`s latest wild night in the Big Apple.

NINA PARKER, PRODUCER, TMZ: He`s definitely had a history of chaotic behavior.

HAMMER: The incident went down early this morning here at the Plaza Hotel, a long-time symbol of old New York glamour. Well, at least it was until Sheen showed up.

PARKER: At the Plaza Hotel, there was a call about some type of disturbance.

HAMMER: The NYPD tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT when police arrived at the Plaza Hotel room early this morning, they found a 45-year-old man who a law enforcement source tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT was Charlie Sheen. A law enforcement source also revealed today to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT there was a woman in the room with Sheen at the time.

PARKER: There are reports that this woman is allegedly a prostitute but nobody can clarify that or confirm that.

HAMMER: Cops tell SHOWBIZ TONIGHT they labeled Sheen EDP, emotionally disturbed person. Both the "New York Post" and the "New York Daily News" are quoting sources who say Sheen had flipped out and trashed the hotel room.

PARKER: Sources say Charlie Sheen was so angry because his wallet was apparently missing.

HAMMER: After cops arrived early this morning, Sheen was taken to this hospital. Now, Sheen`s rep says, quote, "What we were able to determine is that Charlie had an adverse allergic reaction to some medication."

PARKER: A lot of people just don`t buy the excuse that it was an allergic reaction.

HAMMER: TMZ`s Nina Parker tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT the allergic reaction excuse from Sheen`s camp doesn`t jive with multiple reports that Sheen`s hospitalization of the result of a wild bender.

PARKER: The facts don`t really mesh well with the statement, but definitely a good try.

HAMMER: And another shocking element to Sheen`s mess, while all the drama went down at the Plaza Hotel, Sheen`s ex-wife, Denise Richards, and their two children were staying in a nearby room at the hotel.

In this TMZ video taken just this past weekend, we see Sheen, Richards and their kids out and about in New York City.

PARKER: They were definitely getting along great and they seemed very happy.

HAMMER: This morning, before the Sheen story hit the media, Denise Richards appeared on Howard Stern`s Sirius Satellite radio show. She didn`t directly mention Sheen`s little hospital drama a few hours earlier, but listen to the huge hint she dropped that this wasn`t quite a trouble- free family trip.

HOWARD STERN, RADIO HOST: And everything`s hunky-dory.

DENISE RICHARDS, ACTRESS: Yes. I guess could you say it`s hunky-dory.

STERN: Is it really? Is it really comfortable?

RICHARDS: It`s been a very eventful trip.

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you such shenanigans are nothing new for Charlie Sheen. His infamous substance abuse issues have landed in rehab multiple times including this year. He`s admitted to using prostitutes, a history that`s a frequent punch line on "Two and a Half Men."

SHEEN: Don`t worry. I`m a responsible uncle.

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: That`s nice to know.

SHEEN: I promise I`ll get a quiet prostitute.

HAMMER: And there was this year`s drama with Sheen`s estranged wife, Brooke Mueller.

PARKER: He pled guilty to domestic violence. He still has eight days left to his probation.

HAMMER: And TMZ`s Nina Parker tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Sheen`s police run-in this morning brought him dangerously close to getting sent to jail.

PARKER: The fact that Charles Sheen didn`t get arrested last night and went to the hospital may actually be what saved him from violating his probation.

HAMMER: But if Sheen`s known for getting into sticky situations, he`s also known for wiggling out of them unscathed. We will see if Sheen`s wild night in New York City follows that pattern.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

Yes. What`s going to happen here? Will Charlie Sheen wiggle out of this latest drama? Right now, from New York, is Midwin Charles. Midwin is a legal contributor with "In Session" on our sister network, Tru TV. Also in New York, Deborah Norville. She is the anchor of "Inside Edition."

So late today, the Aspen County D.A. told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that Sheen`s latest incident has absolutely no bearing on his domestic violence case in Aspen. That`s why he`s on probation and the reason that is the case now is because he was not arrested.

But Midwin, as the details start to unfold, is there a chance that what happened today, all this drama, could affect Charlie Sheen`s current probation and land him in the slammer?

MIDWIN CHARLES, LEGAL CONTRIBUTOR, "IN SESSION" ON TRU TV: You know, I doubt it. You know, as they`ve said, he hasn`t been arrested.

He hasn`t appeared to have done anything that was illegal, perhaps maybe trashing this hotel and even that has not yet officially been substantiated. And we all know he is Teflon Charlie. Things just don`t seem to stick to him, nor does it impact his career.

HAMMER: And if he did trash this hotel, I presume that the hotel would actually have to press charges of some sort for him to be arrested.

CHARLES: Exactly. That`s exactly right. And that hasn`t been done yet, at least yet.

ANDERSON: And if he has to pay for any repairs to the hotel room, we know he`s got the money because he`s rolling in the big bucks from "Two and a Half Men."

HAMMER: Oh, yes.

ANDERSON: But I have to say on another note I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that Charlie was in New York City spending time with his kids and really getting along with his ex, Denise Richards.

In an interview for tonight`s "JOY BEHAR SHOW" which airs every night at 9:00 p.m. Eastern here on HLN, Denise Richards talks to Joy, sort of, about Sheen`s current troubles. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOY BEHAR, HOST, "THE JOY BEHAR SHOW": So you don`t know what exactly happened? Did you go to the hospital with him?

RICHARDS: I do know what happened. I would rather -

BEHAR: And you do know. You`d just rather not talk about it.

(CROSS TALK)

RICHARDS: I did go to the hospital.

BEHAR: You did go to the hospital with him?

RICHARDS: Yes. You know, the thing that`s very - my daughters are five and six years old.

BEHAR: Yes.

RICHARDS: And they`re at an age where they can start to understand. They have no idea what went on and a lot of our stuff happened when they were much younger, which I`m so grateful for. We`re in an amazing place. We`ve been getting along great for the last year and a half.

And you know, we`re doing our best. So as far as that situation, I`m trying to protect the girls from that as much as possible.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: OK. That`s a tremendous relief to know the kids don`t know what happened with their father. But Deborah, we`re mothers. Do you think that Denise and Charlie`s other ex, Brooke Mueller, may get concerned and, in the future, try to keep Charlie away from those kids?

DEBORAH NORVILLE, CORRESPONDENT, "INSIDE EDITION": Well, I think that`s something any responsible mother would do, given the history they have here. But I think you really have to give enormous credit to Denise Richards. She has really walked a really fine line here.

And I think the way she phrased her comments on "THE BEHAR SHOW" really shows the way she is trying desperately to, of course, protect her children.

And she`s right. These girls are getting older. they start to understand. They were shopping at FAO Schwartz and the paparazzi were out there. No kid deserves that.

On the other hand, he is in the midst and final stages of one legal action and the last thing any ex-wife wants do is inadvertently say something that`s going to exacerbate what could become a legal problem for him.

Now, the information you`ve gotten from the Aspen County, authorities say that this is not going to have any bearing on his probation situation. The last thing Denise Richards wants to do is inadvertently change that situation.

HAMMER: Yes, absolutely. And the bigger problem for the kids and with Denise is, obviously, it`s a long road ahead because all of the stuff is out there. And as the kids get older, they`re going to need to know exactly what was going on.

NORVILLE: Look, here`s the deal. This is their father. There`s no question he has had a long history of troubles with all sorts of substance abuse. It`s not the children`s fault.

Give this family the space they need to protect the children, to allow the dad get back on the straight and narrow as he`s made every public utterance that he`s trying to do.

And let all of the women in his life, his ex-wife, Denise Richards, Brooke Mueller - let all of these women find their own space to create the relationship the way it needs to be because their lives are intertwined and will be forever.

HAMMER: Yes.

ANDERSON: Forever -

HAMMER: Yes, absolutely. I do need to move on to another big story making big news today. Is Mel Gibson getting ready to tell all?

Apparently, Mel Gibson says he now realizes he might have a hard time getting another job in Hollywood unless he tells his side of the whole Oksana drama. Mel`s revelations reportedly came after he lost a cameo role in "The Hangover" sequel.

And this leads to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - is it time for Mel Gibson to do a TV tell all? I actually think Mel Gibson needs to vanish for a while.

CHARLES: Yes. Me, too.

HAMMER: Maybe it`s a year. Maybe it`s longer. And then, the tell-all will be the beginning of what will be a very long road, Brooke.

ANDERSON: And he`s currently under investigation.

HAMMER: Yes.

ANDERSON: I think he needs to keep quiet.

HAMMER: So I think he needs to get past all of that. And then, there will come a time when, in order to repair everything, he will have to tell his side of the story. All right. Deborah Norville, Midwin Charles, thank you, guys, so much.

All right. Moving on today, Taylor`s love drama. Taylor Swift`s explosive new interview today about who her songs are really about.

And brand-new reports that Taylor is dating Jake Gyllenhaal. So we`ve got to ask in today`s SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - will Taylor singing about her love life backfire on her?

Jessica Simpson`s brand-new dramatic revelations today. What happened when she happened to bump into her ex, Nick Lachey? Plus, Jessica`s surprising confessions about food today.

And Lindsay Lohan claims she can`t afford to pay for rehab. But is anyone buying her get-sober sob story? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Time now for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

FONDA: Six, seven. Now, we`re going to do three more and walk left. Two, three - walk left. One, two, three. Walk right.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Will you look at her - wow, that`s one fit-looking Jane Fonda circa 1980. She really did rock that big hair thing in the electric blue leotard while she was working up a sweat. Amazing.

But wait, there`s more today. Seventy-two-year-old Fonda is in spectacular shape and she is revealing just how fit she is today.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in Hollywood with Brooke Anderson. Look at her. Unbelievable.

ANDERSON: Did you say she was 72 years old?

HAMMER: Seventy-two.

ANDERSON: A.J., I cannot believe it. She looks incredible, still working out, still staying fit. In that brand-new workout video that she`s got, she does really look amazing.

And with us, right now, from New York, Shelley Wade, radio host with New York`s Z100. Also in New York, Dawn Yanek, editor-at-large for "Life and Style Weekly."

Ladies, Jane Fonda is not letting a little old thing like age stop her from her continuing crusade to help people get fit. In fact, Fonda`s brand-new workout DVD is geared toward seniors like herself.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can reveal to you now this sneak peek at Fonda`s new DVD just revealed today.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

FONDA: It`s really fun to be back. I`m 72 and I`m realizing the fundamental importance of how do you age successfully, of staying active. Moving, walking, dancing. Swing that hip.

All different kinds of ways of doing it. I want to make it as simple and safe and effective as possible, and particularly videos for people who are 50, 60, 70, 80. You know, they`re moving along like I am.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Looks almost like she did in those earlier workouts. You were showing - there she was, doing some rock-climbing. Dawn, it`s pretty impressive, don`t you think?

DAWN YANEK, EDITOR-AT-LARGE, "LIFE AND STYLE WEEKLY": Oh, it`s really impressive. She`s 72 years old, but she has the butt of a 28-year-old. She looks fantastic.

And we are so particularly impressed with the venture of hers at "Life and Style Weekly" because it has the potential to do so much good. You know, look, it`s important to stay in shape and to stay healthy and it doesn`t end at any age.

It`s most important the older you get because it`s important for your heart health, your bone health and your overall health.

HAMMER: Yes. And she looks fantastic. I mean, I`ve got to admit it, I`m enjoying watching these videos. I hope the video is a massive success.

But look, she does have a lot of competition now. Things have changed since the `80s. Shelley, do you think there`s a chance that Fonda will be just as popular now as she was back in the `80s with those videos?

SHELLEY WADE, RADIO HOST, Z100: A.J., definitely, because she has a built- in audience. You know, I remember, you know, getting her tapes from somewhere and working out to her. And it was simple yet effective, and I used to do it right in front of my TV.

And you know, if you don`t feel like, you know, going to the gym, it`s perfect. So I think she has a built-in audience of those people who used to always work out with her anyway. They`ll be back to see if it`s just as good.

ANDERSON: Yes, feel comfortable with Jane Fonda.

HAMMER: Go, Jane, go!

ANDERSON: Go, Jane. OK, from one flashback to another, I`ve got to move on to one of my absolute favorite movies of all time.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT was right there with the cast of "Back to the Future" in New York City Monday night to celebrate the film`s 25th anniversary, if you can believe it. Michael J. Fox revealed to us why this movie meant so much to him.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MICHAEL J. FOX, ACTOR: You know, I just feel really lucky that I fell into it. I kind of was the last one in, but it`s - just the theme of it, the cross-generational appeal. Someone said today - and I thought it was really sweet. They said the irony of this movie about time is that it`s timeless.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Yes, I could not agree more with Michael J. Fox. A.J., it truly was timeless.

HAMMER: They`d better not try to remake that film.

ANDERSON: No.

HAMMER: That`s all I have to say.

WADE: You`ve got to leave it alone.

HAMMER: Don`t mess with that at all.

WADE: Yes.

HAMMER: Well, there may be no plans to remake "Back to the Future" but I can tell you there are plans to remake another classic, "Take My Breath Away," take the "Highway to the Danger Zone."

There`s another "Top Gun" on the way. But here`s the burning question today - should Tom Cruise play the role of Maverick again? Shelley Wade, Dawn Yanek, do not move.

ANDERSON: All right. It is incredible. Taylor Swift wasn`t even born when "Back to the Future" or "Top Gun" came out. But there`s brand-new love drama for Taylor today. Her explosive new interview about who her songs are really about. Only SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dares to ask, could singing about her love life backfire?

Christina Aguilera`s big surprise today. You`ve got see this. All I`ve got say is, Christina, you go, girl!

And the shocking results of our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll. Do people really think Katy Perry and Russell Brand`s marriage won`t last? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

HAMMER: Time now to roll out the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - here come more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: (EXPLETIVE DELETED)!

MIKE "THE SITUATION" SORRENTINO, CAST MEMBER, "THE JERSEY SHORE": It looked like they literally took the frog out of the water and threw it, like, in the batter and fried it. It was disgusting.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hold on!

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Hey, remember when "Jersey Shore`s" The Situation said that he`s bigger than Kim Kardashian? Big abs. Big ego.

Well, today I can tell you The Sitch is actually right. But when I first heard The Situation say that, I thought, oh, maybe you should chill, maybe not the wisest thing to say.

But then, I just checked the ratings today for the second season finale of MTV`s "Jersey Shore," and it got more than six million viewers. So how did this Sunday`s season finale of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" compare?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Seriously? Kim, stand next to it. There you go.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Finally, a Kim that won`t (EXPLETIVE DELETED) at me.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Forget about it. Just about four million people watched the Kardashians. And yes, that`s impressive, but that`s about two million fewer viewers than Snooki and the "Shore" gang. So Sitch, you win. But what`s up with these Kardashian girls? Because, A.J., they play to win, you know.

HAMMER: Oh, yes.

ANDERSON: You know, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian have already started filming a new show set in New York City. It`s called "Kourtney and Kim Take New York." It`s actually going to debut on "E!" in January. Their train just keeps on rolling.

HAMMER: Well, yes. "Jersey Shore`s" as well. Season three for them takes off on January 6. So this whole "Jersey Shore" versus Kardashians smackdown will continue into 2011.

ANDERSON: Aren`t we excited.

HAMMER: Oh, goody. All right. Big debate going on right now on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook page. Was it fair to fire Mel Gibson from "The Hangover" sequel? A lot of people writing in about this.

Cheek T. thinks it was, "I salute the person who gave Mad Mel the ax. Finally someone not getting rewarded for their bad behavior. Right on."

But Sara V. thinks people should back off Mel. Listen to this, "I think that we need to remember all of the times that we were having problems in our lives. So he screwed up. He is human."

We`d love for you join the debate on Facebook or go behind the scenes of SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. You can always get breaking entertainment news alerts by going on our Twitter page. ANDERSON: Yes, check it out. And now, the SHOWBIZ lineup - here`s what`s coming up at the bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Lindsay Lohan`s get-sober sob story. She says she can`t pay for rehab, but does anyone buy that?

Can you believe Madonna`s rocking, toned arms? Well, now, you have a shot at getting them, too. Just join Madonna`s gym.

Justin Bieber in 3-D. We`ve got your very first look. You can actually reach out and touch his mop top. Yes. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Jessica Simpson`s brand-new confessions today. Jessica confesses about her dramatic encounter with ex-husband, Nick Lachey. Plus, Jessica`s outrageous revelations about food.

Lindsay Lohan`s financial crisis. Lindsay claims she can`t pay for rehab. But is anyone buying that?

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from Hollywood with Brooke Anderson.

ANDERSON: And there`s big news breaking today - Swift love. Just as Taylor Swift`s kiss-and-tell new album is released, reportedly all about past love by John Mayer, is there a new object of her affection today?

HAMMER: Yes, Brooke. There are brand-new reports today that Taylor Swift is dating none other than Jake Gyllenhaal. Well, this comes just as she is addressing new, burning questions in a new interview today about who she is or isn`t singing about in her nearly-transparent new song.

Now that Taylor might be dating Jake, it kind of makes me wonder if he`s nervous that Taylor`s next song might be about him.

Right now, in New York, is Midwin Charles. She is legal contributor for "In Session" on Tru TV. Also in New York, Dawn Yanek, editor-at-large for "Life and Style Weekly."

Well, Taylor Swift`s new album, "Speak Now," has been getting a lot of attention particularly because of that song, "Dear John." It`s a song that may or may not be about her love-gone-wrong with John Mayer.

The album is finally out and, yes, now, there are more questions than ever today. On the "Today" show this morning, Taylor finally clears up the mystery - sort of. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: There`s been a lot of speculation, a lot of reporting about - that it`s about the men in your life. Is there anything you want to say about that this morning?

SWIFT: When I started writing songs when I was 12 years old, I would write songs in a room about people in my life. And so as the years have gone on, I have continued to write about my life and the people in it.

And I guess more people now are sort of speculating on who those people might be more so than when I was 12. But I`m always going to write about my life. And I guess people are always going to speculate on who the songs are about and I`m always going to not tell them.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: OK. I get that Taylor`s got this great formula for hit songs. But here`s how I see it - if she continues to write this way, which she`s entitled to, she may not get any more dates and won`t have any new material.

So, Midwin, to the SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, do you think this can backfire on her love life and career?

CHARLES: No, I really don`t. In fact, I think it might be helpful. Perhaps the next guy she dates will quake in his boots and make sure that he doesn`t do anything that`s - you know, that`s rude or disrespectful.

HAMMER: Risky, risky.

CHARLES: You know, listen, this is what artists do. They often rely on their relationships and past experiences to write their songs. So I don`t think it will backfire on her at all.

ANDERSON: OK. Let`s talk about the next guy in Taylor`s life because there are hot off-the-press reports today that Taylor is dating actor Jake Gyllenhaal. There`s also brand-new evidence today that Taylor may be giving fair warning to Jake and anybody else who dares to date her. Check out her new ad for Target.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SWIFT: I suppose it all started with my first crush in fourth grade, Corey Robertson(ph). You know, he liked the cool girl. She had straight hair. Little did he know I was writing songs about him after school. Well, eventually I found my way. For me, "Speak Now" is the next chapter of my story and I`m naming names.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: So in that ad, she admits that she`s naming names. But Dawn, you know, I love Taylor Swift. She`s cute. She`s talented. She`s a great girl.

But I do have to ask you as well. Do you think that`s going to backfire at some point? Because if she scares everybody away, she`s not going to have the material anymore.

YANEK: It could, but like you said, Taylor is talented. She`s gorgeous, and I think that men are going to flock to her no matter what. I think they`re going to take that risk and I think she`s worth that risk.

The thing is she`s an artist and artists write about what they know and heartache is one of the best things to write about. But make no mistake, Jake will go on to that long list of exes she`s written about including John Mayer, Joe Jonas, and a slew of others.

HAMMER: Let me tell you something about guys. They`re not thinking about the song being written about them in the future. They`re thinking about getting the girl now.

ANDERSON: That`s the problem. They`re not thinking at all.

HAMMER: Well, speaking of getting the girl or the woman as my mother and sister would like me to say, let`s move on to a Hollywood super-couple who have just tied the knot.

But listen to this - there are already signs today that Katy Perry`s and Russell Brand`s love might not last forever. At least, that`s what some people think.

You`ve got to check out our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll. Here`s what we asked, "Russell Brand Marries Katy Perry: Will it last?" Look at all these cynics. The results came in late today. Only 21 percent think this marriage will last. A whopping 79 percent don`t think it will.

Midwin, these guys haven`t even been married a week now. Are you surprised that so many people think that Russell and Katy`s marriage is doomed? Doomed I say?

CHARLES: No, I am surprised. I don`t understand why folks just can`t let love live. I mean, my goodness.

HAMMER: Yes.

CHARLES: These two just got married and they seem to be really into each other. They seem to have had a wonderful courtship, and they`ve been all over the place. They`re doing well in their careers respectively. I don`t see why this marriage is headed for splitsville at all.

HAMMER: All right. Dawn, I know people can be very cynical about Hollywood marriages. And certainly, these two, for a lot of people, are an odd couple. But are you surprised that so many people think this thing isn`t going to work?

YANEK: I really am surprised. It is so cynical. Look, the odds are stacked against them, granted. It is Hollywood and relationships are bombarded by temptation and different traveling schedules. And certainly, the two of them are all over the globe shooting their various projects.

But they are very much in love, they seem very happy. We certainly are rooting for them at "Life and Style Weekly." And hey, if this marriage lasts a few years or even, my goodness, five to ten years, it will be an eternity according to Hollywood standards.

ANDERSON: And when people get married, we don`t think, "Oh, I`m eventually going to get divorced." When you get married, you think, "This is love. This is going to last forever." So certainly, A.J., they are optimistic.

HAMMER: Times are changing, Brooke.

ANDERSON: No, I think we can all be optimistic here. Best wishes to Katy Perry and Russell Brand. OK. I`ve got to move now, though, to big Michael Jackson news breaking today.

Exactly 16 months after his tragic death, listen to this - Michael Jackson achieved something that he never did when he was alive. "Forbes" magazine reports Michael made a stunning $275 million in the past year. That`s more than any other musician or actor ever, dead or alive.

Midwin, people predicted this, but could you have ever imagined that M.J. would make so much so quickly? It`s also about half of what he owed when he died.

CHARLES: You know, I could have. Remember, I`ve always said on the show how much I love Michael Jackson and many fans do throughout the world. I am not surprised at all. He was at the top of his game, many would say. Of course, it`s debatable.

But he`s done so much throughout his career. He was a pioneer are so many levels. I`m not surprised at all.

ANDERSON: And I was so looking forward to that farewell concert tour that he was going to put on. I`m going to have to show you now just how remarkable Michael`s money feat really is.

Elvis Presley comes in behind M.J. on the deceased celebrity list with $60 million. But then, there are the stars who are still rocking like Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Jay-Z. They made $50 million each last year.

But yes, that`s all dwarfed by Michael`s $275 million in earnings. Dawn, do you think this was just a one-off or do you think Michael`s just going to keep raking in that cash from the grave?

YANEK: He was called the king of pop for a reason. And of course, people are flocking to his music right now because of his recent death. So I think we are getting a little bit of a nostalgic kick right now.

And I think, in subsequent years, we`re going to see him duking it out with some of the bigger acts like Elvis and like John Lennon. But for now, he`s on top of the world, unfortunately, from the grave.

ANDERSON: Yes, he certainly is. A.J., I think it`s just going to continue. (INAUDIBLE) keep rolling.

HAMMER: I think this is just the beginning. And I think the fascination with him spans so many generations that here are kids who were much younger when he died, they`re going to grow up. They`re going to want to continue to explore his life. I think this is an ongoing thing with Michael.

ANDERSON: Yes. Or beyond. People are obsessed with him and his music. It certainly is amazing. Midwin Charles, Dawn Yanek, thank you both.

HAMMER: We`ll we`ve got to move right now to Jessica Simpson`s dramatic new confessions today. Her dramatic encounter with her ex-husband, Nick Lachey. Plus, Jess` startling confession about food is going to blow your mind.

Out of cash, out of rehab? Could Lindsay Lohan actually get the boot from her celebrity rehab? Now, Lindsay says she`s broke. She can`t pay for rehab. But does anybody really buy her story?

Muscles by Madonna? Hey, I`m here to tell you, if you want some, get thee to the gym - Madonna`s brand new gym. That`s right. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Time for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Eva Longoria and husband Tony Parker sued after L.A. car crash. Far East Movement`s "Like a G6" tops iTunes weekly song chart.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with A.J. Hammer.

HAMMER: Well, there is big news breaking in "The Buzz" today. Brooke, Lindsay Lohan`s financial crisis. Will Lindsay be able to pay her rehab tab? "Top Gun" fans are flying high today because a sequel is in the works, but is that really a good idea? And do you want a body by Madonna? Well, go to the gym, Madonna`s gym.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) Body by Madonna. Madonna just announced she`ll be opening a string of fitness center named after her 2008 album, "Hard Candy." The first Hard Candy Fitness Global gym opens next month in Mexico City.

The gyms promise to be sweet and chic with, quote, "lavish locker rooms and innovative training methods." If you want to taste Madonna`s sweet new fitness shop, book your plane tickets now because expansion plans don`t include the U.S. at the moment.

"Top Gun" part two? The sequel to the `80s blockbuster, "Top Gun," is reportedly in the works. Filmmaker Tony Scott, who directed "Top Gun," just revealed he and the producer, Jerry Bruckheimer, are teaming up for the sequel.

Scott told "HitFix.com" this new film will not be a reinvention or a remake but a continuation. No word yet if there will be a role for Tom Cruise.

Lindsay`s financial crisis? Lindsay Lohan may be in rehab at the Betty Ford Rehabilitation Center and not in jail. But according to a probation report, quote, "She indicates she cannot afford to continue to pay for the treatment program and she needs to work."

In the report, Lohan says she can`t stay in Betty Ford for up to three months since, quote, "her clothing line is falling apart bus she is not available to monitor the product." According to people magazine a 90-day stay at the center typically runs around $53,000.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Yes. That`s nothing to sneeze at. $53,000 is a lot of money. And Lindsay`s career - well, it has been hurting. So is she really short on the cash or is this just another Lindsay Lohan sob story? That leads to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, Lindsay reportedly says she can`t afford rehab. Do you buy her explanation?

Right now, in New York, Shelley Wade, who is a radio host on Z100 in New York. Also right now in New York, Dawn Yanek, who is an editor-at- large for "Life and Style Weekly."

Look, I think you`re probably with me on this. I feel like we have heard so many excuses from Lindsay Lohan over the years. But I can believe she`s out of money given the fact she`s had more trouble than jobs. Dawn, to the SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, do you buy her explanation?

YANEK: It does seem like a last-ditch effort by her legal team to get her free and out and about. But that said, here rumored financial woes have been talked about for some time.

That said, it seems really hard to believe that she`s so destitute that she and her family can`t scrounge up the money between residuals from her projects and different branding efforts that she`s done.

So I would say get your priorities in order. Do the rehab. Your career will be much more lucrative once you`re all cleaned up and sober.

ANDERSON: Yes, no kidding. But let`s face it. I can`t remember the last time Lindsay Lohan has had a hit film. So if she has squandered millions of dollars, maybe she is hard up for money.

So Shelley, to the SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, do you buy her explanation?

WADE: I have to say, Brooke, I totally buy it. She hasn`t - like you guys say, she hasn`t been working. And you know how the economy is right now, right? I mean, I`ve had to seriously cut back on stuff and I`m working every day and Lindsay`s not working.

She`s been spending more time in jail and rehab than she`s been spending working. So I believe it. I also believe that there`s some of that "I`m ready to get out of rehab" in there as well. But I totally believe that she`s financially strapped.

HAMMER: I still hold out every hope that she stays with the rehab program if, for no other reason, than to heal herself, obviously. But she will be able to have a career at some point, I think, down the road. I think it`s going to take a while.

All right. I do have to move on to more big news just in today. Jessica Simpson is speaking out about running into her ex-husband, Nick Lachey, at a Hollywood restaurant. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT just obtained brand-new video from "Hollywood.TV" of the night of the run-in.

And in a brand-new interview with "USA Today," Jessica reveals that she and Nick didn`t even say "hello" to each other. Here`s what Jessica told "USA Today," "He was at the same restaurant. I didn`t speak to him."

Now, we don`t know the specifics about their near run-in. But dawn, would you be surprised if there was still some lingering bitterness between the two of them four years after the divorce?

YANEK: No, I wouldn`t be surprised. Look, they`re exes and they`re exes for a reason. And you have to feel for Jessica because she was damned if she did, she was damned if she didn`t go up to him. And there was bound to be speculation and talk about it and, of course, there is.

ANDERSON: Yes. They could very well be on friendly terms but it just wasn`t the time. It just wasn`t the place. Who knows?

What we do know is Jessica didn`t have much to say about Nick but she was gushing over her new boyfriend, former NFL pro, Eric Johnson. She says that she`s really happy and comfortable with love, but not quite ready for marriage.

But unfortunately, ladies, it seems that she`s still having to address criticism over her weight. She recently said there is so much scrutiny that, quote, "I can gain 20 pounds and lose 20 pounds in one week. It`s pretty amazing."

I think she was saying that in a tongue-in-cheek manner. She goes on to talk about her eating habits saying, quote, "When I`m hungry I`ll eat. When I`m not hungry I won`t. I`m not that much of a calorie counter but do I think about it. I`m from Texas so I love everything fried. I`ll give myself a cheat day every week."

You know, Dawn, it sounds like she`s taking all the jabs about her body in stride. It sounds like she is in a good place.

YANEK: It does sound like she`s in a good place, and I hope that she is. She`s gorgeous. She`s talented. She`s in love again. And the thing is, it`s going to be a back-and-forth thing. It`s a process.

Is she happy right now? Is she happy with her figure, curves or not? It sounds like it. But unfortunately, I don`t think this is going to be the last we`re going to be hearing about her body and her body image.

ANDERSON: Yes. And Shelley, it`s admirable she`s being so open, so honest about, you know, times that are pretty painful for her. You know, the criticism cannot be easy for Jessica Simpson.

WADE: Well, I have to tell you I`m a Texan as well. Jessica`s right. The food down there is good - big shout out to my fellow Houstonians.

ANDERSON: Delicious.

WADE: I have to say as a person that has struggled with weight issues for a few years now - you know, I`m a person like Jessica. I eat when I`m happy. I eat when I`m sad. You know, it is a process. You have to deal with it on your own.

But you know, we`ve been talking about bullying a lot, you know, lately. So this is a form of bullying, constantly badgering Jessica about her weight.

ANDERSON: Yes.

WADE: She`s a beautiful girl whether she`s heavier or whether she`s skinnier. I think we have to let people, allow people to go through their own process and get healthy on their own, you know.

ANDERSON: Absolutely. And I think women and men can relate to what Jessica is talking about and what she`s going through.

WADE: Exactly, and I`m happy she -

ANDERSON: Shelley Wade, Dawn Yanek, thank you.

HAMMER: As we move on today, Justin Bieber in 3-D. I know, you`re as excited as I am. Well, we have your first look at Justin Bieber like you have never seen him before. I`m talking the Bieb in 3-D and on the big screen. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
