ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show starts right now.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Hello, I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from Hollywood with Brooke Anderson.

BROOKE ANDERSON, CO-HOST: And A.J., there`s big news breaking today. It comes down to this - good grief, Charlie Sheen.

HAMMER: Yes. Charlie Sheen is getting a whole lot of grief right now, Brooke, for his alleged hotel-and-hooker rampage. Today, Sheen spoke out for the very first time even as a raging debate flared up over whether he should be fired from "Two and a Half Men," the biggest sitcom on television.

And how come Mel Gibson gets fired from a movie for raging phone calls to his ex, while Sheen`s Teflon coating - it seems to be shining as slickly as ever. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the great debate - is the shine finally coming off Sheen?

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) It`s a new day in New York. People are recovering. The damage is being repaired and life is slowly returning to normal now that hurricane Sheen as blown out of the city.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you Charlie Sheen is back in California today, and he`s now speaking out for the very first time about his wild time in New York City where he reportedly got drunk, took a mysterious female companion to his suite at New York`s ritzy Plaza Hotel and trashed the place so badly the cops came and sent him to the hospital.

DYLAN HOWARD, SENIOR EXECUTIVE EDITOR, "RADAR ONLINE": When asked, how he was after this alleged coke - cocaine-fuelled bender, he said, "Oh, my man, I`m fine."

HAMMER: "Radar Online`s" senior executive editor, Dylan Howard tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT he exchanged text messages with Sheen.

HOWARD: Charlie had just arrived back in Los Angeles after he was discharged from a New York-based hospital. And that`s when he took the time to respond to our text message.

HAMMER: In those text messages, "Radar" quotes Sheen as saying those stories about his wild night in New York are "totally overblown and overplayed as far as the reality of the scenario." But as for what really happened to that hotel room, Sheen`s keeping mum.

He tells "Radar," quote, "I know what went down and that`s where it will stay - under wraps."

HOWARD: He`s down played the significance of the incident. And his rep said that he had an allergic reaction to some form of medical pills that he had taken. And that`s what caused him to be admitted to a New York hospital.

HAMMER: Despite Sheen`s down playing, nearly every media outlet is reporting Sheen`s rampage was the result of a drug and/or alcohol bender. But today, Sheen`s literally in damage control mode.

He`s reportedly offered to reimburse the Plaza Hotel for the reported $7,000 of damage he caused. And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you it looks like Charlie won`t have to worry about jail.

HOWARD: It seems as though there will be no criminal charges in this particular incident.

HAMMER: Also, prosecutors in Colorado, where Sheen is on probation for assaulting his estranged wife, Brooke Mueller tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Sheen`s run-in with the NYPD won`t affect his probation.

CHARLIE SHEEN, ACTOR: Hookers, hookers, hookers. Looking for a quiet hooker.

HAMMER: And Sheen`s trouble also won`t affect his work on CBS` sitcom, "Two and a Half Men." CBS tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT it won`t be commenting on the Sheen matter.

HOWARD: He`s scheduled to return to the set of "Two and a Half Men," the hit CBS show, as soon as next week. And many are also asking why Hollywood tolerates such behavior.

HAMMER: "Radar Online`s" senior executive editor, Dylan Howard tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that it looks like Sheen, who has a long history of substance abuse, domestic abuse claims and alleged anger issues will once again do what he does best - emerge from scandal unscathed.

HOWARD: Despite the fact that he suffers image incidents time and time again, he doesn`t seem to suffer too much damaged reputation.

HAMMER: So with no jail and a quick return to his job as the highest-paid actor on TV, it seems like hurricane Sheen ended up doing more damage to his hotel room than to Sheen himself.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has not independently authenticated those Charlie Sheen texts. But you know, they don`t call him Teflon Charlie for nothing. And now, a lot of people want to know when that slick coating is going to wear off when it comes to that job as the highest-paid actor on TV.

That leads to today`s SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, should CBS fire Charlie Sheen?

With us right now, in Hollywood, Tanika Ray, who is an entertainment journalist. And also right now, in Hollywood, Pat Lalama who is an investigative journalist.

Look, I`m sure the execs over at CBS have got to be banging their heads against the wall today over Charlie`s latest drama. Even though "Two and a Half Men" is as huge as ever, I have to believe, there`s got to come to a point where - there has to be a breaking point where the network is going to be fed up with the aggravation and the perception by some people that they are rewarding his bad behavior.

So Pat Lalama, to the SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, should CBS fire Charlie Sheen?

PAT LALAMA, INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST: Let me start - welcome to L.A.

HAMMER: Nice to be here with you, by the way.

LALAMA: Brooke is the buffer -

HAMMER: We`re going to go.

LALAMA: All right. Here`s the deal. Some astute writer said, why do we keep adoring his vomit-stained shoes? The point of the matter is, we may not like him. He may be a slime bag. He may be all the things we don`t want our children to grow up to be. The fact of the matter is, I`m going to defend the free market and the network has the right to keep on any person they wish.

When we start dictating because of morals that you can`t work at a particular place, that`s wrong. They`d be firing everybody I ever worked with or half the people I`ve ever worked with.

I mean, it`s the network`s choice. He`s not stopping production. They`re not losing money. It`s the same character who is glorified on the TV show. It`s one other thing.

ANDERSON: Yes.

(CROSS TALK)

I mean, you know, the fact of the matter also is, as long as people keep watching "Two and a Half Men" -

LALAMA: Exactly.

ANDERSON: As long as Charlie Sheen shows up on the set and does his job, he`s going to remain employed. The show is extremely popular. But Tanika, to the SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, all that aside, do you think CBS should fire him?

TANIKA RAY, ENTERTAINMENT JOURNALIST: Yes, I do. You know, I think it`s unfortunate. Yes, the lines are really blurred between reality and his television character fantasy, and these people are really confused. They`re like, "Oh, it`s just his character acting out again."

No, this is man who has serious problems. And he has performed violence against women. He`s an addict and he`s got hookers coming in and out of his life. Here`s the thing. We can`t enable him anymore, and I feel that`s what CBS is doing. They keep rewarding him for bad behavior. They pay him more and more money. When does it end?

LALAMA: Tanika -

RAY: Does he have to kill somebody or himself? What`s the deal?

LALAMA: Tanika, it has -

RAY: There needs to be a line drawn.

LALAMA: We start with Charlie. This has been going on for years and it`s only getting worse. We`re going to use him as the poster child?

RAY: Exactly. That`s exactly my point.

LALAMA: Let`s start with Charlie.

(CROSS TALK)

RAY: (INAUDIBLE) a show for having a sex tape like Kim Kardashian? Everybody in Hollywood rewards people for bad behavior.

(CROSS TALK)

LALAMA: It doesn`t make it right, Tanika.

ANDERSON: He probably doesn`t have any sort of moral clause in his contract. So, you know, as long as he continues to bring in the buck, it`s highly unlikely

(CROSS TALK)

LALAMA: It doesn`t mean it`s right. It doesn`t mean it`s right.

HAMMER: Hold on a second. Hold on a second. Pat brought up "vomit- stained shoes." I want to get to that. This is very important, because a lot of people are comparing Charlie Sheen to Mel Gibson. And I understand why they`re doing it.

RAY: Absolutely.

HAMMER: People are asking why did Mel get fired from his cameo in "The Hangover 2," and why is he prosecuted by the public for his racial rants while Charlie admits to assaulting his wife and he gets a pass.

Well, "New York Post" columnist, Linda Stasi, nailed it in her column. At least a lot of people feel she did. She wrote this, "Why does the public still worship at Charlie`s vomit-stained sneakers?" There you go, Pat. "Why do the Hollywood studios and TV networks look the other way while they are ready to string Mel Gibson up?"

"Simple, Charlie only hates, shoots, knives, attacks and abuses women. He never said a bad word about race, only gender."

LALAMA: Here`s the thing, A.J., Mel Gibson is seen as a dark - he has a dark history as Brooke has mentioned earlier. He`s seen as an old geezer. He`s perceived as anti-Semitic. There is a real edginess to - Charlie`s the guys you want to have - not me.

But a lot of guys are sitting at home going, "Dude - hookers, booze, yes, baby, I want to have a beer with you. You`re so darn likable." He`s forgiven for that.

ANDERSON: That`s just more male bad behavior.

LALAMA: It is. It is.

(CROSS TALK)

ANDERSON: Go ahead, Tanika.

RAY: I was just going to say we as women should be outraged. Yes, you can be racist and anti-Semitic and you get spanked on the butt. But it`s OK violence against women is forgiven? I just think it`s disgusting and enough is enough.

LALAMA: Nobody`s forgiving it. I`m just putting a pragmatic twist on it. The fact of the matter is, this is the reality of it, the reality that we live in, believe me.

(CROSS TALK)

ANDERSON: (INAUDIBLE). And I think Mel Gibson has deeply offended numerous groups of people on a very personal level.

RAY: Absolutely.

ANDERSON: But with Charlie Sheen, it`s like he`s hurting himself and his family.

RAY: Yes.

ANDERSON: All right. We`re going to leave it there for now. There`s more big-breaking Charlie Sheen news today though. Charlie`s ex, Denise Richards, is speaking out and setting the record straight this morning on the "Today" show over what really happened the night Charlie reportedly lost it in that hotel room.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You freaked out, started screaming, called police.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: They`re saying you called 911.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes, tell us what happened.

DENISE RICHARDS, ACTRESS: The thing that I will say is -

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Denise Richards clears the air today. Was it really her who called 91 on Charlie? Tanika Ray, Pat Lalama, stay right there. We are getting to that.

HAMMER: Now onto the Courteney Cox-David Arquette breakup. So far, it hasn`t gotten really nasty. But is that about to change? Could David possibly squeeze $50 million from Courteney? David`s startling claim to Howard Stern today.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

STERN: Did you guys sign anything, a pre-nup?

ARQUETTE: No.

STERN: Oy vey.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

HAMMER: I don`t think it`s going to come down to money with these two, personally. But you know, in Hollywood, you never know.

Dating Taylor Swift. Brand-new reports that Taylor is dating Jake Gyllenhaal, but is the right man for her? And if not, then who? Well, we`ve got the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT matchmaker on speed dial. Did you know we have a matchmaker? She`s on her way here right now.

Banking on Bristol. Bristol Palin survives to dance yet another week on "Dancing with the Stars." You know, a lot of people actually think she`s got a shot at winning this whole thing. The SHOWBIZ Flashpoint today - has Bristol won you over? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

It is time for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Miley Cyrus` parents, Billy Ray and Tish, are divorcing after 17 years of marriage. 11.5 million viewers tune in for "Glee`s" "Rocky Horror Picture Show" tribute.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(MUSIC)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: That was ridiculously amazing. You created drama with your body. Your face was connected to everything. That was - who are you?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Well, Bristol Palin really wowed the judges this week on "Dancing with the Stars" with her tango. So today, we want to know is Bristol now the frontrunner to take home that mirror-ball trophy?

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in Hollywood with Brooke Anderson. Everyone`s giggling already.

ANDERSON: That`s right. We`re already giggling, A.J. Today, we`re talking about banking on Bristol. Bristol Palin made it past another week of elimination on "Dancing with the Stars."

And now, some people are wondering if she has won over the hearts of the people at home and could actually win the whole competition. That leads to today`s SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, has Bristol Palin won you over?

With us, right now, in Hollywood, Laura Saltman, who is a correspondent for "AcessHollywood.com."

So Laura, at first, she was just the daughter of Sarah Palin who had a baby as a teenager. But now, I think mothers, scorned women - single mothers, mothers in general trying to juggle work and career and baby can somehow identify her with. And I think it`s earned her a whole lot of votes, obviously.

LAURA SALTMAN, CORRESPONDENT, "ACCESSHOLLYWOOD.COM": Really?

ANDERSON: So to the SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, has she won you over? I`m guessing no.

SALTMAN: Absolutely not. I actually think people in Alaska have nothing better to do and are just voting.

ANDERSON: That`s harsh.

SALTMAN: That`s all they`re doing, just texting. I don`t think it`s the moms. I`m sorry. I just think that it`s people in Alaska - very, very, very cold. And they`re just like, "Oh, I`ll just get on the phone and vote for her.

ANDERSON: Oh -

HAMMER: People of Alaska, that was Laura Saltman speaking - Laura Saltman.

(CROSS TALK)

I think the show has done her some good, though.

SALTMAN: Yes.

HAMMER: I think it`s gone a long way to making her seem three dimensional. We didn`t know a whole lot about her personality before.

SALTMAN: Yes.

HAMMER: And quite frankly, there are a lot of people who think she can take this thing the whole way.

SALTMAN: OK -

HAMMER: Again, by the look on your face, I don`t think you believe that.

SALTMAN: It`s personal. At least she now has a little bit of a personality, starting to slowly, in dribs and drabs, come out. But if she wins "Dancing with the Stars," I will move to Alaska and I will hunt a moose.

HAMMER: Hold on, I`m writing it down. I`m writing it down.

SALTMAN: That`s all I`m going to say.

ANDERSON: You know, honestly, there really is no way that Bristol can win the whole competition. It`s going to be Jennifer Gray. It might be Brandy, you know.

But one person that Bristol does not have to compete anymore is Audrina Patridge because the reality show star was just kicked off "Dancing with the Stars" last night. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT was right there after the show to get her reaction to the news. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

AUDRINA PATRIDGE, FORMER CONTESTANT, "DANCING WITH THE STARS": I was really shocked. I mean, I didn`t think we were going home tonight at all. But what`s meant to be is meant to be.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: OK. The judges did also look a little bit stunned when Audrina got the boot. Laura, this competition is anything but predictable.

SALTMAN: Yes.

ANDERSON: Do you think there would be outrage if Bristol Palin actually did win?

SALTMAN: Well, no one has ever won the show that`s been not the best dancer on the show. People are smart enough, I think, when it gets done to the end, to know that someone has to win who actually is a really good dancer.

She did decently in her tango this week. But let`s face it. She`s not the greatest dancer.

(CROSS TALK)

I don`t think it`s a popularity contest.

HAMMER: No, no. But Brooke is asking a great question. Let`s say she does win.

SALTMAN: Yes.

HAMMER: Are people, you know, marching outside of the "Dancing with the Stars" studios picketing the place?

SALTMAN: No. I don`t think they`ll picket. I definitely don`t think so. I`ll have to move to Alaska, but they won`t picket.

ANDERSON: But she is improving and (INAUDIBLE).

(CROSS TALK)

(INAUDIBLE) overcoming her anxiety. She`s obviously out of her element.

SALTMAN: Yes.

ANDERSON: And I think people root for that. But she`s not going to win.

HAMMER: All right. Laura Saltman, thank you so much.

ANDERSON: There are startling new revelations today from Charlie Sheen`s ex, Denise Richards. She was reportedly right down the hall when Charlie went on his alleged cocaine-and-hooker hotel rampage. But did Denise call 911 on Charlie?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You freaked out, started screaming, called police.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: They`re saying you called 911.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes, tell us what happened.

DENISE RICHARDS, ACTRESS: The thing that I will say is -

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: This is so scary and so sad. Denise also reveals where she sees her relationship with Charlie heading.

Also, Kelsey`s shocking ex-files. Explosive revelations today from Kelsey Grammer`s soon-to-be ex-wife. The unbelievable painful way she learned Kelsey was leaving her for a younger woman. And Balloon Boy dad - remember him?

HAMMER: No.

ANDERSON: He`s now selling back-scratchers.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

RICHARD HEENE, BALLOON BOY DAD: Hi, I`m inventor Richard Heene. If you itch like a son of a twitch, then you need my latest invention, The Patent Pending Bear Scratch.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: I`m sorry. What was that? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

HAMMER: Time for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - these are more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

HAMMER: Talk about making lemons out of lemonade.

ANDERSON: Yes.

HAMMER: I really have so much respect for the admirable way she`s worked through a really difficult time.

ANDERSON: I do, too. Dealt with all that pain in such a great way. OK, A.J. We just listed our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint on our Facebook page and it was this, "Should Charlie be fired from his hit CBS sitcom, "Two and a Half Men."

Lots of you already writing on our wall. Cindy M. thinks that Charlie should be canned, "I used to love Charlie Sheen, but he is nothing but a loser to me now. He is disgusting and pathetic."

But Miranda B. says she`s still watching, "Charlie has a lot of personal problems that he`ll pay for someday. But even so, he`s a great actor with a hilarious TV show. I don`t think CBS would fire him yet."

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from Hollywood with Brooke Anderson.

ANDERSON: And A.J., talk about big news breaking today - breakout bonanza. Two of the most famous exes are speaking out today about their relationships with their exes. And I can tell you what they are saying is mind-blowing.

HAMMER: Yes. Denise Richards has been caught up in the firestorm of her ex, Charlie Sheen. Sheen is battling big problems today. It all began with his alleged cocaine-and-hooker hotel rampage in New York City just days ago.

But today, Denise revealed more of what happened on that night and whether or not she`s considering cutting Charlie out of her life completely.

There`s even more big breaking news today - the David Arquette-Courteney Cox breakup. Arquette is revealing in a brand-new interview today that he and Courteney had no prenuptial agreement.

With us, right now, from New York, Rob Shuter, who is a columnist with "PopEater.com." And with us, in Hollywood, Pat Lalama, who is an investigative journalist.

All right. Got to begin with David Arquette`s brand-new bombshell interview with Howard Stern today on Howard`s Sirius Satellite radio show. We can`t forget how David went on Howard`s show the day after he and Courteney`s split was revealed.

And David revealed intimate details of their sex life and he got a lot of flak for that. Well, today, another bombshell. Arquette reveals he and Courteney had no pre-nup. Listen.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

STERN: Did you guys sign anything, pre-nup?

ARQUETTE: No.

STERN: Oy vey! Someone told me she`s worth $100 million.

ARQUETTE: Oh, cool it. I don`t want to talk about that.

STERN: You`d better talk about it with me off the air.

ARQUETTE: Off the air, we`ll talk. But, listen, I`m not - I`m really not -

STERN: Buddy, can you count to 50?

(END AUDIO CLIP)

HAMMER: Look, I don`t think David is doing anything wrong by revealing that they had no pre-nup. Look, if he wants to talk, let him talk. I`m guessing there a lot of people, though, who are thinking today that Courteney can`t be too thrilled about the fact that, here he is, yet again, revealing more personal intimate details about their life.

LALAMA: You`re guessing?

HAMMER: I`m guessing Pat Lalama might be within of those people.

LALAMA: Here`s what I`ve got to say about him - wah, wah, wah, blah, blah, blah. I mean, this guy - I think he`s like an incredible loser. First of all, I don`t think she`s going to - I think she`s going to give him some money. Come on. But when he -

HAMMER: We don`t know they`re getting divorced yet, I should make that clear.

ANDERSON: They`re separated.

LALAMA: She`s not going to leave him in the snow. But here`s a guy who`s going on Howard Stern talking about who he`s sleeping with and then he cried the first time he had sex with another woman other than Courteney.

And I`m thinking, you know, he needs a movie other than "Scream" so he can get busy and go away. I do find him to be so unappealing.

ANDERSON: Well, the more I listen to him, the more - Pat, I kind of feel sorry for him because he seems like he`s an open book and he just does not know when to zip it, you know.

But I could not believe my ears when - and this is what Pat was just talking about - when he revealed to Howard Stern today that he did cry having sex with a woman after he and Courteney split up. Listen to him talking about that.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

ARQUETTE: After the first girl I slept with, I like - you know, a few days later, I was like, you know, crying, you know. I know that`s not very sexy.

STERN: Why were you crying? Why were you crying?

ARQUETTE: Because it was like, you know, it was the end of all the, you know, intimacy I shared with my wife.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

ANDERSON: OK. Did you hear the music that they played in the background? I mean, really, it`s TMI.

ROB SHUTER, COLUMNIST, "POPEATER.COM": "Thank You, Friend(ph)."

ANDERSON: Yes, "Thank You, Friend(ph)."

LALAMA: He could barely get it out.

ANDERSON: Did we really need to hear that? You know, and I`m sure that Courteney is probably thanking their lucky stars that their young daughter is too young to be really hearing her father talk about all of his sexual conquests.

Rob, does David Arquette just need to put a muzzle on it at this point?

SHUTER: I love this. I love him doing this show. I love him - this is better than "The Real Housewives." No one`s making him say anything. Let him sit down. If he wants to talk, talk away. I`m going to listen.

ANDERSON: OK. It may be entertaining for a lot of people, Pat, but it can be very hurtful, though, to the people he`s close to and to his family.

LALAMA: You know, I think he`s got some problems. This is just not normal behavior. It`s almost like he`s groveling. People - I think the problem is he`s not really getting enough attention from the outside world. This is one place - this is one forum he can go and talk to Howard Stern about his problems.

But he seems to have trouble articulating. He almost seems like he`s under the influence to me. He just doesn`t sound normal to me.

ANDERSON: Even though he said he`s been sober for a long time.

LALAMA: No, he`s not even - didn`t he just say he was drinking on the plane? Or -

HAMMER: He actually did say that.

LALAMA: Yes. Yes. I mean -

ANDERSON: (INAUDIBLE) overcome his addiction issues.

LALAMA: I think he need as therapist. He`s got some real weird problems.

HAMMER: Look, and I`ve said it before, I appreciate him going on to set the record straight if there are false things being put out there. But there are probably some details that -

LALAMA: Shut up -

HAMMER: You know, you don`t want to - nobody else. You don`t your children to hear about or your kids.

ANDERSON: Right. Absolutely.

HAMMER: All right. Let`s move on now from one bombshell, ex bombshell, to another. Got to move on to Denise Richards` brand-new revelations today about what went down the other night when her ex, Charlie Sheen, allegedly went on a cocaine-and-hooker hotel rampage in New York City.

Well, Richards was with Charlie and kids at the same hotel in New York City. And there were reports today that it was Denise who called 911. But this morning on NBC`s "Today" show, Richards cleared all that up. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

RICHARDS: The thing that I will say is I did not call - and I wasn`t screaming or freaking out. I did not call 911. And other than that, the details of what went on in the room, what went on that night I prefer to keep private and personal.

My daughters are very unaware of what happened and I`m really trying to protect them. And you know, this is Charlie. If he wants to discuss it, then I`ll let him do it. But other than that, at the moment, right now, I don`t want to say anything.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: All right. As far as this situation is concerned, I respect the fact that Denise is playing this close to the vest for the sake of their kids that they have together. She`s on TV right now because she`s on a schedule promoting her new TV show.

And of course, the only thing anybody wants to talk to her about now is Charlie Sheen. Rob, this is an impossible situation for her. She can`t escape it.

SHUTER: I feel terrible for her. I actually saw her today at noon. I met up with Denise today. But I`ve known her for a while. I feel really bad for her. Every time something good happens, every time she has a great project, he seems to pop up and steal her spotlight.

I think she`s sick of talking about Charlie Sheen. But at the same time, she knows if she`s doing all this press, they`re going to ask. The good thing about Denise, though, she didn`t cancel. She didn`t let down her production, her crew.

She knew that promoting the series was going to be important and she sold it on through this. And at the same time, she`s not giving away any dirty little secrets that she considers private.

ANDERSON: Pat, you`re about to jump out of your seat there.

LALAMA: OK. OK. I know everyone wants to defend the big-eyed babe, OK? But here`s the bottom line. A.J., you and I had this discussion before. She didn`t go out and solicit the attention, I will give you that.

HAMMER: Correct.

LALAMA: But you can`t tell me she isn`t getting some mileage out of this. She`s still, like, clinging to his coattails, et cetera. Part of that -

(CROSS TALK)

HAMMER: I don`t think she wants -

ANDERSON: I don`t think that`s fair.

LALAMA: She talks about, though, what a great guy - people want to be him, you know. And she still coddles him. This is a woman who, a few years ago, accused him of looking at child porn.

She talks about she wants to protect her children but she`s doing a raunchy show. This is a woman who talks about her sex life with Howard Stern. So I don`t really have all that big sympathy for the big-eyed babe.

ANDERSON: But she`s doing the show because it`s part of her career. And she`s doing these interviews because the networks expected her to go out and talk about this.

And I don`t think she coddles Charlie Sheen. They have two children together so she`s trying her best to co-parent successfully. I really think that she`s grown up, too, like - well, he hasn`t grown up. But she wants to do what`s best for those kids.

LALAMA: Yes, right. So then, I`ll go on Howard Stern and talk about what positions (INAUDIBLE).

(CROSS TALK)

ANDERSON: Well, that`s a different issue altogether. If you go on Howard Stern, he`s going to have to ask about your sex life.

LALAMA: Who are we kidding? Everybody`s in it for something.

HAMMER: No.

ANDERSON: Rob Shuter, Pat Lalama, we could go on and on. We`ll leave it there for now. Thank you.

HAMMER: Dating Taylor Swift. Brand-new reports that Swift may be sweet on Jake Gyllenhaal. But is he the right guy for her? And if not, who should she date? Taylor, Cupid is coming after you. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is playing matchmaker today.

Kelsey`s shocking ex-files, explosive revelations today from Kelsey Grammer`s soon-to-be ex-wife. Wait until you hear this - the unbelievable, painful way she learned Kelsey was leaving her for a younger woman. It isn`t pretty.

He`s back and we`re really excited. Richard Heene sold the world on believing his son was stuck in a runaway balloon. Remember that? Well, now, he`s selling back scratchers?

ANDERSON: What?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HEENE: Man, that feels good. This thing is strong. Oh, god. Now, that`s a bear scratch! That is a bear scratch!

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Oh, good for him. Are you buying what he`s selling? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, it`s the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - these are more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Ozzy Osbourne is now a health columnist for "Rolling Stone" magazine. David Beckham tells Ellen DeGeneres how he drives wife Victoria crazy.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DAVID BECKHAM, SOCCER PLAYER: I`m very tidy at home and she`s not.

VICTORIA BECKHAM, FORMER SPICE GIRLS BAND MEMBER: He always says that he is tidy, but not actually that tidy, are you, David?

D. BECKHAM: We`re going to have our first argument in 11 years.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HEENE: It is a deep, deep, penetrating scratch. Oh, man, that feels good. This thing`s strong. Oh, god. Now that`s a bear scratch!

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Did you see this? Remember Balloon Boy dad, Richard Heene? Well, he`s got an itch that needs scratching, I tell you. And now, Heene`s got one heck of a pitch to help you with your itch.

Get ready for it. We`re mere moments away from showing you his latest desperate attempt to extend his 15 minutes of fame. I actually can`t wait to see it.

ANDERSON: Oh, please.

HAMMER: I`m sorry I said it.

ANDERSON: I`m a little disturbed by it.

HAMMER: For all the wrong reasons, of course. Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer with Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. And now, it`s Kelsey Grammer`s ex files.

ANDERSON: Yes, that`s right, A.J. The "Frazier" star`s soon-to-be ex-wife revealed that she was totally blindsided by Kelsey walking out on her after 13 years of marriage.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT got an advanced copy of "People" magazine this morning. In it, Camille Grammer reveals in emotional detail how she says Kelsey betrayed her from a harsh call from across the country to dump her, to the searing pain of seeing paparazzi pictures of Kelsey and his new girlfriend shopping for an engagement ring.

Right now, in New York is Kate Coyne. She`s a senior editor for "People" magazine. And in Hollywood is Tanika Ray. She is an entertainment journalist.

Hey, ladies. Camille Grammer really did not hold back in her confessions today in "People" magazine. She says Kelsey went to New York to do a play on Broadway in June, then, bam! Camille says she got a call from a friend who saw Kelsey all over town with another woman.

A.J., the way that Camille describes this is really heartbreaking.

HAMMER: I`m calling out the Grammer police on this one. I really don`t want to make light of it because it is terrible.

ANDERSON: It`s terrible.

HAMMER: Listen to this - this is what Camille says, Brooke, "I texted him and asked him to please call me. Nothing. I texted him again, and he wrote, `I don`t want to talk.`"

"I wrote, `We`ve been together for 14 years; I deserve an explanation.`" Finally, three hours later, he called me. He basically said, `I don`t want to be married anymore.`"

I`ve got to tell you, this just bums me out if this is true, because I`ve always liked Kelsey. And it obviously seems like a lousy way to handle things. Kate, were you stunned by Camille`s revelations to "People?"

KATE COYNE, SENIOR EDITOR, "PEOPLE MAGAZINE": I think I was stunned, certainly, by the level of candor that she`s showing. I mean, she`s being extremely direct and straightforward about everything that happened to end her marriage. But I don`t think anyone expected that it ended quite so abruptly.

HAMMER: Yes. I mean, boom, done. Camille and Kelsey`s sudden split, by the way, happened right in the middle of Camille`s new reality show, "The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills." So cameras did catch some of the drama as the unhappy couple went to the Tonys together. Take a look at what happened.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KELSEY GRAMMER, ACTOR: How are you doing?

CAMILLE GRAMMER, KELSEY GRAMMER`S EX-WIFE: Kelsey was nominated for a Tony. It was very hard walking down the red carpet knowing that my marriage was almost over. I was absolutely devastated.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Well, Camille has become the housewife on that show that everyone loves to hate. But Tanika, I`m thinking that maybe people are now going to start to have some degree of sympathy for Camille knowing what was going on when the cameras weren`t rolling. Do you think that`s going to go on?

RAY: I don`t know. It`s so abrupt and it`s so heartbreaking. I agree with you, Brooke. But at the same time, when you`re on a show like that, being the one that people love to hate is a good thing. So maybe she doesn`t want to be the one that everyone loves.

I don`t know - it`s just so uncomfortable. And I watched the first episode for research purposes. And I have to say she kept saying over and over, "I`m not just Kelsey`s wife. I have my own identity." And I have the feeling that that might be the reason for the demise of their relationship.

HAMMER: Maybe the writing was on the wall.

ANDERSON: Yes. I have a feeling we don`t know both sides of this story. She does say it came out of nowhere. I just feel for the kids. They`ve got two young kids caught in the middle of this.

RAY: Absolutely.

ANDERSON: OK. I`ve got to move now from heartbreak to a potentially heart-pounding new romance for Taylor Swift. There are reports that Taylor is dating Jake Gyllenhaal. "People" magazine reports that they were out together in New York this weekend.

Hey, I think Jake is a great guy, Taylor a sweet girl but she`s so young. And I don`t want her - I don`t want to see her get her heart broken. Kate, do you think Jake is the right fit for Taylor?

COYNE: Well, for starters it`s interesting because I think a lot of people just feel that there`s a massive age gap here. There`s actually a roughly eight-year age gap, which, you know, is interesting because, by Hollywood standards, that`s not that huge.

ANDERSON: Right.

COYNE: It`s not that big at all. They just vibe at such different maturity levels. It would appear that she`s very much still a teen in a lot of ways, and he seems much, much older than his 29 years. I`m not sure if he`s the one, though.

ANDERSON: OK. Well, you know, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT staffers really like Jake. But we are playing matchmaker for Taylor today. You know, it`s our prerogative and all. Let`s play Tic Tac Taylor.

First up, Penn Badgley. How about the "Gossip Girl" star who just broke up with Blake Lively or she broke up with him - I`m not really sure. Then, there`s Shia LaBeouf, the "Transformers" star who is newly single today, too.

Or last card here - Pauly D from "Jersey Shore." Hey, if Taylor writes a song about him, Pauly D can always make it remix. Tanika, do you like Pauly D? Do you think he`d be the appropriate match.

RAY: I`m going to get in trouble. I`m not going to say what I really want to say. But no, we all know about Taylor`s revenge songs. And yes, he could remix it. But even Kanye would have to endorse that song when it comes down to it. That would be too good for all of us. But no, the worst choice ever.

ANDERSON: All right.

RAY: I like Jake and Taylor.

ANDERSON: I do, too. Tanika Ray, Kate Coyne, thank you both.

HAMMER: We have got to move on now to one of the most bizarre stories I`ve heard a long time. Balloon Boy dad, Richard Heene, head-scratching new product, the new back scratchers and bears. Oh, my.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HEENE: Oh, man, that feels good. This thing`s strong. Ah, god. Now, that`s a bear scratch! That is a bear scratch!

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: It`s Balloon Boy`s dad`s outrageous itch pitch. And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: "DWTS" cast-off Audrina Patridge set to star in her own reality TV show on VH1. Oprah Winfrey unveils the new logo for her "OWN" network.

ANDERSON: Time now for Hollywood at home. This is where SHOWBIZ TONIGHT gets stars to reveal how they balance fame and family life.

Today, this guy, Joey Lawrence. Joey was a child star. Remember him in "Gimme a Break" and "Blossom"? Right now, he`s starring in the ABC Family comedy, "Melissa and Joey." He Melissa Joan Hart`s nanny - a male nanny. Joey says that he loves acting, but family comes first.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOEY LAWRENCE, ACTOR: I sort of keep them as separate from it as possible. You know, I wasn`t always - I mean, I was never in the tabloids. I wasn`t that kind of a young person, you know. I sort of love the work.

It`s daddy`s job. It`s not our life. And I never, ever, you know, measured my success as a human being on, you know, what show I was on or how many people were taking pictures of me or how many TMZ hits I got. That`s not really the point.

If people want to talk about you, that`s cool because that means they`re talking about you when you do work that people are talking about, good or bad, I guess. But that`s not what I measure my level of success on.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Healthy perspective there. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in Hollywood with Brooke Anderson.

ANDERSON: Yes. And hey, A.J., if you scratch my back, I`ll scratch yours. Or you could have Balloon Boy dad, Richard Heene, help you with that, because he`s come up with a new invention for that (INAUDIBLE).

HAMMER: I`m getting freaked out already. Here`s the deal. Richard Heene - remember him? He caused a national panic by telling cops his kid was missing and might be floating in a helium-filled balloon. I actually believed him for a moment.

ANDERSON: Yes.

HAMMER: It turns out that Heene`s story was full of holes.

ANDERSON: Oh, boy, was it. Well, now, I want you to check out Heene`s newest creation. It`s the Heene Bear Scratcher.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(MUSIC)

HEENE: Hi. I`m inventor, Richard Heene. If you itch like a son of a twitch, then you need my latest invention, the Patent Pending Bear Scratch. Check it out. You never walk out in the woods and see a bear break out a branch to scratch his back. No, he uses the entire tree.

Order at BearScratch.com." The secret is in this (INAUDIBLE) and all these tiny knots. This gives a deep, deep penetrating scratch. Oh, man. That feels good. This thing`s strong. Ah, god! Now that`s a bear scratch! That is a bear scratch!

I`m telling you, man, that`s what I`m talking about. One move for a 36- inch groove. Keep on batching for a full scratching. Bear Scratch is so easy. You just stick, screw, sway and scratch. Go ahead, ask someone to scratch your back. It`s always the wrong spot.

Now, with bear scratch you get the exact scratch where you want it. You can own your own Bear Scratch for only $19.99. You can pay $7 for that wimpy one or $19 for the heavy duty one.

I`ll take the heavy duty one any day of the week. Can`t find your back scratcher, huh? Well, there it is right there. It`s Bear Scratch. Where is it? There it is. Where is it? It`s right there. It`s right here. Oh, yes. Bear Scratch. You can`t lose it.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I have a headache. Heene says five percent of all sales will be donated to the Salvation Army but only if you order before Thanksgiving.

ANDERSON: Get your orders in now. And now, the strange connection between Bill Gates, Carmen Electra and Kimora Lee Simmons. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT teamed up with "More" magazine to name them to the mug shot hall of fame.

Bill Gates got this mug shot for a traffic violation when he was just 22. Carmen Electra got hers after a domestic dispute with then-husband, Dennis Rodman. He got one, too. Heather Locklear got hers after a DUI arrest. She was cleared.

Russell Simmons` ex, Kimora Lee Simmons, got hers over a 1994 marijuana charge. And who can forget Hugh Grant`s mug shot when he got caught with a prostitute in 1995? For more mugs, pick up the new edition of "More" magazine on newsstands right now.

HAMMER: I`ve had a fantastic time hanging out with you here in Hollywood.

ANDERSON: I`m sad to see you go, A.J. Can you stay?

HAMMER: Maybe I will, maybe I won`t. That is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer with Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.

ANDERSON: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is live at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Monday through Friday.

HAMMER: And we are still TV`s most provocative entertainment news show seven days a week at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific.
