THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

A.J. HAMMER, CO-HOST: There`s big news breaking today on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT - the Hollywood ex files. LeAnn Rimes, Eddie Cibrian - they cheated on their exes.

BROOKE ANDERSON, CO-HOST: Now, this news today, LeAnn and Eddie are reportedly engaged. Our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - will this help put their cheating scandal behind them?

HAMMER: And look who else is engaged today - Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo. Wait a second. How is Nick`s ex, Jessica Simpson going to feel about that?

ANDERSON: Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift reportedly dating. Watch what Jake just told us.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JAKE GYLLENHAAL, ACTOR: Oh, buddy.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Stars desperately trying to get pregnant. Why are you sharing your experience? Why you have decided to do that?

HAMMER: Who will SHOWBIZ TONIGHT name the most provocative celebrity of the week - Demi Lovato, Portia De Rossi or LeAnn Rimes?

TV`s most provocative entertainment news show -

ANDERSON: Starts right now.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.

ANDERSON: Hi, there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - the Hollywood ex files.

HAMMER: Yes, Brooke. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you there are explosive stories today about big stars revealing that they are getting married.

And I can tell you not everyone is getting ready to cheerfully toss the rice as they walk down the aisles, including the ex-husband of LeAnn Rimes and ex-wife of Eddie Cibrian who suddenly became single when their one-time mates cheated on them and left them.

We learned today LeAnn and Eddie are reportedly engaged, big news breaking just two days after they went on national TV for the very first time to explain why they did what they did and left their exes.

ANDERSON: The Hollywood ex files also blew up today with the news that Jessica Simpson`s ex, Nick Lachey, has just revealed he is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Vanessa Minnillo. So you`ve got to wonder what his unlucky-in-love ex is thinking about this.

With me, right now, in Hollywood, Wendy Walsh, who is a TV journalist and doctor of psychology. Also in Hollywood, Sheryl Lee Ralph, who is an actress, producer and AIDS activist.

OK, ladies. Let`s the ex files with the brand-new news today that LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are reportedly engaged. We just saw them on ABC gushing about how much they love each other.

Sheryl lee, it kind of seems to me like they did this interview to tee up the news that they are reportedly engaged.

SHERYL LEE RALPH, ACTRESS AND PRODUCER: Isn`t it amazing how show business can work sometimes? But come on, didn`t they just have the affair? Now, they`re just getting engaged? The only place a good rebound is worth a slam dunk is in basketball. And this isn`t basketball. We`re talking love, people. Take some time.

ANDERSON: Wendy, what do you think? Are they jumping into this too fast?

WENDY WALSH, TV JOURNALIST AND DOCTOR OF PSYCHOLOGY: You know, I think they are trying hard to win the court of public opinion because there are two careers on the line. Let`s face it, the fact that children and mothers of small children were abandoned is a tragic thing overall.

And now, they`re trying to show that no, no, this is real love and it is real love. And may well be, but it only adds more salt to the wound to keep coming out so publicly to say, "You see, we`re real. We`re really in love."

RALPH: Exactly.

(CROSS TALK)

ANDERSON: And not showing much remorse for what they did. But during LeAnn and Eddie`s interview with ABC`s Robin Roberts, they did admit that they made some mistakes. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

EDDIE CIBRIAN, ACTOR: The truth is that, you know, we`re human beings. We made mistakes and we learn from them but we`re human. We fell in love. We`re talking about something that`s over a year - year and a half old really. And we`re still together and, you know, we`re madly in love and I think people are finally seeing that.

But it doesn`t mean that, you know, people will accept it or the tabloids will stop trying to print, you know, lies and try to tear us apart or tear us down.

LEANN RIMES, SINGER: We`re really happy and what we feel privately we hope, one day, I think people will feel publicly.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: And now, with the news today they are reportedly engaged, here`s our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - will this help them put their cheating scandal behind them? Sheryl Lee, what do you think?

RALPH: This one`s kind of sticky because you could tell the way they were talking they don`t even feel great about it. Look, when it really gets down to the real facts, the people that really matter here are those children. They`re the one who, through this all, will be forever changed, although he is a handsome hunk of man.

ANDERSON: But do you still think he`s a handsome hunk of a man after what he did to his wife?

RALPH: Oh, that`s -

ANDERSON: It kind of changes the perspective, I think -

RALPH: Yes, you`re absolutely right.

ANDERSON: Even though he`s hot stuff. Is he really now? I don`t know. All right. We did ask our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll if it was time to forgive LeAnn for carrying on the affair with Eddie Cibrian while they were both married to other people. The results came in late today.

And just - you know, people are really divided, just like I think everybody is around here. Fifty-one percent said, yes, it is time to forgive her. Forty-nine percent said no, it`s not. Wendy, everybody`s divided over this.

WALSH: Well, you know, I`m a big one about forgiveness. I`m all about forgiveness every place I can. But yesterday, I met Brandi, Eddie`s ex-wife, on the CBS show "The Talk." And she admitted she found out this wasn`t the first time he had an affair.

ANDERSON: What?

WALSH: So I`m a little leery when a leopard wants to change his spots.

(CROSS TALK)

ANDERSON: LeAnn and Eddie cheated on their spouses so they`ve got to be careful here like who`s to say one of them won`t cheat if they get married, you know?

But hopefully, they will - if indeed they do tie the knot, they will take the marriage vows to heart, finally. A.J., what do you think? Do you think they`re going to be able to put this cheating scandal behind them?

HAMMER: Well, I think, as our guest pointed out, this is kind of a no-win situation for them right now.

ANDERSON: Right.

HAMMER: But what they did was obviously selfish and irresponsible. I do give them credit for owning up to it all. And I think they can move on even if some people won`t let them.

But I have got to move on right now to more big news breaking in "The Buzz Today." Jessica Simpson`s ex, Nick Lachey - you know, they were married once. Well, he`s now confirmed to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT he just popped the question to his girlfriend, Vanessa Minnillo. And Jon Gosselin`s gal pal no quiero, Taco Bell. And rapper Lil Wayne is finally home free.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) Lil Wayne out of jail. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has just confirmed the rapper walked out of New York`s Riker`s Island prison after eight months. Now that he`s free, he just announced that he`s heading down to Miami to celebrate.

Lil Wayne, a.k.a. Dwayne Carter was thrown behind bars last March after being convicted of illegal possession of a handgun. But jail didn`t stop his career. He managed to release a digital album from behind bars and he plans to get right back into the studio.

Gosselin`s girl versus Taco Bell. Jon Gosselin and his new girlfriend reportedly had their run-for-the-border ruined by a camera-happy Taco Bell employee. And now, his girlfriend has filed a complaint.

According to a statement obtained by "Radar Online," the pair tried to get food at the drive-through when they say, quote, "One employee (she had a wrap around her head), pulled out her cell phone and held it up to us to try and take a picture while laughing at us. No one did or said anything to stop this. It was humiliating." They asked the store to fire the employee.

Nick and Vanessa engaged. Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo just revealed to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT they`re tying the knot after four years of dating. In a joint statement the pair tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, "We`re excited and incredibly happy about our engagement and look forward to a wonderful future together."

Lachey tweeted to his fans, "Vanessa and I couldn`t be happier. Thanks for all the love." Lachey ended his marriage to his first wife, Jessica Simpson, in 2005.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

All right. So it`s been nearly five years now since Nick and Jessica got divorced. I`m not suggesting for a moment that she is pining away for him. But I`ve got to think that Nick`s engagement news today has got to perhaps put Jessica in somewhat of a reflective mood.

I mean, here she is, five years later. It appears she hasn`t really found the one yet. Sheryl Lee, do you think Jessica might be feeling a little badly about this?

RALPH: Jessica has that incredible line of shoes. I save Jesse, baby, design a new boot, put them on and walk, girl. She is in no pain, I`m sure.

HAMMER: All right. Wendy Walsh -

(CROSS TALK)

RALPH: (UNINTELLIGIBLE) a good man after the other.

HAMMER: Wendy, as a psychology expert, I would like to get your take on this because, obviously, it`s something that people go through whether they`re a celebrity or not. They see that their ex is getting married and they kind of think about things.

WALSH: It does affect people. I think that many, many people don`t want their exes to be that happy. They want their exes to be happy, but not too happy. And so I`m sure, on some level, she`s saying, "He got there first."

HAMMER: All right. That`s fair enough. And I have to say we`ve been rooting for Jessica Simpson all along. I think even if she is a little reflective, maybe a little melancholy today, she`ll get past it. And yes, like you said, Sheryl Lee, put on some boots and start walking. Wendy Walsh, Sheryl Lee Ralph, thank you, guys.

ANDERSON: All right. Moving on, Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift are reportedly dating. So when we ran into Jake in Hollywood, we just had to ask him if it`s true. Wait until you hear what he told us.

And stars desperately trying to get pregnant -

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: After eight weeks we lost the baby. We lost our baby.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: But some are beating the odds. I can tell you there`s plenty of controversy here. Are some stars making it look too easy? My revealing SHOWBIZ special report today.

HAMMER: And we are just moments away, Brooke, from naming most provocative celebrity of the week. Here are your nominees, Demi Lovato for getting treatment for emotional and physical issues; Portia De Rossi and her startling anorexia confessions; and LeAnn Rimes now engaged to the man that she had an affair with. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, it`s time for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - here come more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Steven Tyler reveals that the new "American Idol" judges take turns being "brutal." Jennifer Aniston`s "Harper Bazaar" cover bestselling issue in seven years.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Actor Will Ferrell way overpaid today. For the second straight year, "Forbes" magazine says Will is the most overpaid actor in the world. His movies earned only $3 and change for each dollar he was paid.

Now, not a bad return if you are investing in stocks but when it comes to Hollywood, no. The best investment? Shia Labeouf, his movies earned a whopping $81 for each dollar he was paid. So A.J., maybe we should call him "Shia La-bucks."

HAMMER: Why not?

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood, A.J. Hammer there in New York.

HAMMER: Well, Brooke, I`m happy to report he`s back. And I, for one, am extraordinarily excited about this. Talking about Conan O`Brien and his big return to late-night TV. And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you Conan already has quite the week lined up for his debut.

He`s got Seth Rogen, Tom Hanks, Harrison Ford - just a few of the big name celebrities that will join Conan as he kicks off his new late-night show on TBS on Monday. A lot of people are, obviously, very excited to see Conan come back. As I mentioned, I am one of them.

And here now, another one, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter with Conan`s big return.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

MILLA JOVOVICH, ACTRESS: Yes. What`s up, Conan?

TIA CARRERE: Welcome back Coco.

JULIETTE LEWIS, ACTRESS: Yay! Conan O`Brien.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I miss him. I`m glad he`s doing a show.

KAREEN WYNTER, CNN ENTERTAINMENT CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): Hollywood stoked -

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes, Conan.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I love him. He`s awesome and funny.

WYNTER: And are primed.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I`m really excited. It`s amazing.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It`s awesome.

WYNTER: And Conan can`t wait.

CONAN O`BRIEN, COMEDIAN: Hey, is it November 8th?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Not yet, chief.

O`BRIEN: It will be here soon.

WYNTER: Conan O`Brien makes his return to late night TV Monday with his new show on TBS, the sister network of CNN. He warmed up by making a surprise appearance on "Lopez Tonight," which is moving to midnight to make room for Conan.

GEORGE LOPEZ, HOST, "LOPEZ TONIGHT": Welcome to TBS and, really, welcome to basic cable.

O`BRIEN: It`s thrilling, basically, to -

WYNTER: "The Hollywood Reporter`s" Matthew Belloni has written about Conan`s return to late night.

MATTHEW BELLONI, "THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER": For the cable universe, the expectations are high. He`s a big star. He`s coming over from network TV.

WYNTER (on camera): Coming over from NBC, to be specific, and his departure from "The Tonight Show" in an awkward game of musical chairs with Jay Leno is the stuff Hollywood nightmares are made of.

(voice-over) The TBS show represents the chance to prove, once again, he`s one of comedy`s best.

(on camera) So for Conan, what an adventure. Is this a shot at redemption?

BELLONI: It`s absolutely a shot at redemption for Conan O`Brien. I mean, he - the way he was sort of cast out of NBC, he took it very personal. Conan is starting from scratch. If it succeeds, it`s a huge personal redemption for him.

WYNTER: And O`Brien has given few hints about the look of the new show beyond saying it will have a more intimate feel than his "Tonight" show did. He will be joined by longtime side kick, Andy Richter.

ANDY RICHTER, CONAN O`BRIEN`S SIDE KICK: Thank you, Conan.

WYNTER: They posted a faux preview on line complete with a mini-band. As he gets ready to return, Conan`s feeling the love from Hollywood.

JOVOVICH: We`re always happy to see him because he`s rad!

WYNTER: From Milla Jovovich to "Dancing with the Stars`" Jennifer Gray.

JENNIFER GREY, ACTRESS: Conan`s smart. Conan`s tough. Conan`s special.

WYNTER: Even the Hoff`s on board, more or less.

DAVID HASSELHOFF, ACTOR: As long as he doesn`t do any David Hasselhoff jokes, which is probably impossible for him, he`ll just be fine.

WYNTER: And if Conan is looking for any guests, we found no shortage of volunteers from Tina Fey -

TINA FEY, ACTRESS AND COMEDIENNE: Yes, absolutely. I would love to do it.

WYNTER: To Harry Hamelin and Lisa Rinna.

LISA RINNA, ACTRESS: I don`t want to beg, but I really would like to.

HARRY HAMELIN, ACTOR: Conan, let us go to your show.

WYNTER: Conan`s return sets off an unprecedented battle in late night between some giant talent -

BELLONI: Now, you have three heavyweights overlapping. Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are also players in this in addition to Jay Leno and David Letterman.

WYNTER: But in the crowded late-night landscape, Conan`s always had an edge.

O`BRIEN: I stand out. I`m 6`9" with orange hair.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: And he can sing. That was SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter. Don`t forget to check out "Conan," Monday night 11:00 p.m. on our sister network, TBS. Welcome, Conan.

Well, Brooke, the "Showbiz on Call" phone lines in fuego today. So many people fired up about the new music video which star`s Miley Cyrus. This is the one where she kisses a 26-year-old guy.

ANDERSON: Yes, A.J. Linda from Texas thinks that 17-year-old Miley should not be smooching an older guy.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

LINDA, CALLER FROM TEXAS: I absolutely think that Miley Cyrus kissing a 26-year-old man is totally out of the question. I have two teenage girls, one of which is 13, the other which is 14, I would let the guy kiss the bottom of my foot. (UNINTELLIGIBLE) my daughters.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Thank you, Linda.

HAMMER: But Sky, calling in from Canada, saying, hey, you know what? It`s just showbiz.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

SKY, CALLER FROM CANADA: Miley Cyrus is a professional actor and performer and has been working for more than 10 years in the business. You can`t judge her by the same standards as normal 17, almost 18-year-old girls. She`s acting a part.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

HAMMER: I`m with you, Sky. Thanks for your call. You can call us on "Showbiz on Call" to sound off on this or anything else that is on your mind.

ANDERSON: Yes. The "Showbiz on Call" phone lines are open 24/7. Write this number down - 1-888-SBT-BUZZ; that`s 1-888-728-2899. Simply leave a voicemail - so easy - and we will place some of your calls right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

HAMMER: Moving on to Oprah`s brand-new interview today with Michael Jackson`s mother. It is so emotional. Oprah asked Katherine Jackson if she ever talked with Michael about all those reports that he was abusing drugs?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KATHERINE JACKSON, MICHAEL JACKSON`S MOTHER: I was telling him I didn`t want to hear one day that he had overdosed because it would break my heart. It would kill me, too.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: You have got to hear this. We`re playing it for you, next.

ANDERSON: Bristol and Levi at it again today. Bristol is just totally crushing Levi Johnston`s political aspirations.

HAMMER: Randy Quaid`s bizarre star whacking confessions today. Wait until you hear this - the unbelievable live TV interview where he tries to explain his bizarre claim that someone is out to get him and a whole bunch of other stars.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

RANDY QUAID, ACTOR: If things keep going the way we are and we don`t do something about it to expose these people, my wife will be out on the street.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: We will show you much more. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Martin Sheen to join cast of new "Spiderman" movie as Peter Parker`s uncle. "Super-nanny" Jo Frost quitting her ABC show to start her own family.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: A brand-new Michael Jackson controversy today. A teaser for Michael`s new song, "Breaking News," is out. It has Michael doing one of his famous screams on it. But TMZ reports some people are saying it`s not him.

TMZ also reported this week that two of Michael`s kids, Prince and Paris, insist a bunch of the tracks on the soon-to-be-released Michael Jackson album are fake, sung by an imposter.

TMZ also claims Michael`s mom, Katherine, thinks there are fake tracks on the album, too, and she doesn`t want them released. Sony Records stands by the song saying they are 100 percent legit. The album is scheduled to be released in December.

Now just out today, some of Oprah`s brand-new interview with Katherine Jackson. This is incredible. Watch Oprah ask Michael`s mom if she ever talks to Michael about all those reported drug problems he was having.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

OPRAH WINFREY, HOST, "THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW": Had you ever spoken to him about his addiction?

K. JACKSON: I spoke to him about them once when I had heard it. And he denied it.

WINFREY: And he denied it to you?

K. JACKSON: Yes. I was telling him I didn`t want to hear one day this he had overdosed because it would break my heart. It would kill me, too. And - but he kept saying he wasn`t. He said, "Mother, you don`t believe me." He kept saying, "My own mother don`t believe me."

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Oprah`s entire interview with the Jackson family airs Monday.

HAMMER: All right. As we move on, I just checked the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook wall. Already, it`s filling up with your posts about our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Flashpoint - LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian reportedly engaged - will this help put their TV scandal behind them?

Now, Christi B. thinks it will, writing, "We all deserve happiness. Eddie and LeAnn found each other. Hopefully, it will last a life time."

But Crystal N. says, "If she cheated on Dean, what makes Eddie think she won`t cheat on him? And the reverse, what makes her think Eddie won`t cheat on her?"

ANDERSON: All right. Now, the SHOWBIZ lineup - here`s what`s coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT at the bottom of the hour.

Stars desperately trying to get pregnant, fighting infertility and beating the odds.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CELINE DION, SINGER: It didn`t work. We had the first - the time we had a miscarriage and the three other times did not work.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: My SHOWBIZ special report today, are some stars, though, making it look too easy?

Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift reportedly dating. Wait until you hear what Jake tells us about that.

And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is about to name most provocative celebrity of the week of the week - Demi Lovato, Portia De Rossi, LeAnn Rimes. Who will it be? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

HAMMER: This is the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - these are more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Leonardo DiCaprio to play "Gatsby" in new film version of "The Great Gatsby." Jessica Alba admits her priorities have changed since becoming a mother.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Big news breaking today on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT - Jake Gyllenhaal, Taylor Swift. Are they really dating? Today on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, wait until you hear what Jake told us about all the Taylor talk.

ANDERSON: And the battle for babies - stars desperately trying to get pregnant.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: After eight weeks, we lost the baby. We lost our baby.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: The painful stories of stars and their infertility struggles. It`s a SHOWBIZ special report.

HAMMER: And who will SHOWBIZ TONIGHT name as the most provocative celebrity of the week? Will it be Demi Lovato? Maybe Portia De Rossi? Or will it be LeAnn Rimes?

Plus, breaking today from the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - Miley Cyrus`s love life shocker. And Gwyneth Paltrow sings dirty.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with a SHOWBIZ special report today, "Battle for Baby." Mariah Carey expecting her first. Celine Dion celebrating two bundles of joy.

But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that for many stars, there`s a long and painful road to that ultimate baby love. Today, some of Hollywood`s biggest stars are revealing the struggle and the sorrow of infertility and learning how to turn a once taboo subject into triumph for women everywhere.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) When entertainment journalist, Giuliana Rancic, decided to start family two years ago, she thought it would happen quickly.

GIULIANA RANCIC, ANCHOR AND MANAGING EDITOR, "E! NEWS": I was about 34 years old and I thought, "Oh, my gosh. This is great. Perfecting time. I`ve got my career down and I want to have a baby. This is going to be so easy."

ANDERSON: It wasn`t. Giuliana and her husband, season one "Apprentice" winner, Bill Rancic, soon discovered they had fertility problems.

RANCIC: After eight weeks, we lost the baby. We lost our baby.

ANDERSON: Every step of their experience, including a cycle of in- vitro fertilization and a devastating miscarriage has been chronicled on their Style Network reality TV show, "Giuliana and Bill."

(on camera) Infertility is a very personal topic and most people in the public eye don`t talk about it. Why are you sharing your experience? Why have you decided to do that?

RANCIC: When we first went through all of this and we`re going through the IVF process, I felt very alone. And it wasn`t until I shared what I was going through with other women that I realized, "Wow, I feel a lot better talking about it."

And so I just feel like by us talking about our journey, it`s going to help so many women and so many couples.

ANDERSON (voice-over): Nearly 15 percent of couples in the U.S. deal with infertility, according to the Mayo Clinic. That number increases as women age. With so many images of stars in their mid-30s and 40s with young children, it`s easy to assume having a baby at any age is an option.

Not necessarily says Beverly Hills reproductive endocrinologist, Dr. Hal Danzer.

DR. HAL DANZER, REPRODUCTIVE ENDOCRINOLOGIST: There are some women who are easy to get pregnant when they`re 44, but that`s a misconception. A lot of women are going to struggle after age 35.

ANDERSON: Celebrities may seek treatment for infertility, but given its highly personal nature, choose to keep it private. Danzer says, for many patients, infertility feels like failure.

DANZER: They`re very successful at everything. And now, they`re failing at something for the first time in their life and they don`t know how to cope with that. It`s painful.

ANDERSON: More and more celebrities are discussing their painful paths to parenthood. Forty-two-year-old Celine Dion recently had twin boys after six rounds of in-vitro fertilization. She told CNN`s Larry King about it.

DION: We would love to have another child. We would love to -

LARRY KING, HOST, "LARRY KING LIVE": Are you trying?

DION: We`re trying. We tried four times.

KING: What happened?

DION: It didn`t work. We had a first - the first time, we had a miscarriage, and the three other times did not work. I mean, it`s kind of common, you know.

ANDERSON: Just last week, singer Mariah Carey went on "Access Hollywood" to announce she`s expecting her first child at 41 and revealed a previous miscarriage.

MARIAH CAREY, SINGER: Yes, we are pregnant. This is true. It`s been a long journey, but it`s been tough because I`ve been trying to have - like I said, to hold on to a shred of privacy and that was not easy.

ANDERSON: Giuliana hopes as more celebrities talk about their challenges to conceive, the stigma often associated with infertility will disappear.

RANCIC: At the end of the day, whether you adopt, whether you use a surrogate, whether you get pregnant naturally, whether you get pregnant through IVF, all that matters is that you have a baby that you`re going to love and take care of and that`s going to love you. And that`s all that matters.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: I think Giuliana is so brave. And she tells me that she and her husband, Bill, have received thousands of supportive E-mails. But you know what? It also makes me wonder if these emotional revelations by stars is proof that not even stars always get their Hollywood endings so easily.

Right now, in Hollywood, is Wendy Walsh - she is a TV journalist and doctor of psychology. Also, in Hollywood is Sheryl Lee Ralph - she is an award winning actress, producer and she`s an AIDS activist.

Ladies, what really struck me about Giuliana`s baby confession is that she said she felt so alone. Sheryl Lee, were you as blown away as I was that Giuliana just courageously said, "To heck with the taboo. I`m going to talk about my truth. I`m going to do it on television and the truth is that sometimes it`s difficult to have a baby."

RALPH: You know something, we so take for granted that babies are born every day. Babies are not born to everybody every day. And there is no greater pain than to lose a baby, even if you have not held it in your arms.

So I - oh, I feel for her so much and there`s so many women right now who want a child and, for whatever reason, are just not having it. So if they go to these lengths to have this baby, God bless them.

ANDERSON: And they will be committed parents if they are committed to this process.

RALPH: Absolutely.

ANDERSON: Well, one of the most-watched baby bumps in Hollywood has been Mariah Carey. The frenzy over Mariah Carey pregnancy reports was at a fever pitch until just last week when she finally confirmed that, yes, she is, indeed, pregnant. And she also revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage before. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CAREY: It`s a long journey but it`s been tough because I`ve been trying to have - like I said, to hold on to a shred of privacy and that was not easy. We had really to absorb this and take it in.

NICK CANNON, MARIAH CAREY`S HUSBAND: That`s what I said, like, her strength literally during the day so festive and smiling, obviously, for cameras and spending time with everyone. And you know, then later at night crying herself to sleep.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: All right. Mariah`s story is heartbreaking but wonderful now that she is pregnant, is having a healthy pregnancy. But you know, she reveals that she suffered in silence in part because of the relentless star baby bump watch.

Wendy, do you think now that stars like Mariah are sharing their stories, this will kind of teach people to be more sensitive about those intrusive baby bump questions?

WALSH: It will teach people to be more sensitive, Brooke. But also, it makes these stars more human, more relatable they talk about real-life things instead of their Porsche showing up the wrong color - oh, dear, you know.

And so knowing that they`re real human beings struggle help says, well - and you know what? I know it`s an emotional trial for these women but please know that you don`t have to be a birth mother to be a mother.

A full 20 percent - that`s one in five women in their 40s - do not have birth children but they are helping to raise a population of children, either adopting or as aunties, helping other mothers.

RALPH: Right. I`m proud of our species.

ANDERSON: And Giuliana Rancic made that point in the piece I did as well. OK, A.J., we`re going now from baby obsession to a Taylor Swift confession?

HAMMER: Well, you`ll have to be the judge on exactly what Jake Gyllenhaal is revealing here. Now, you may have heard - because the reports are really heating up that Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift are dating.

Well, we caught up with Jake last night in Hollywood. He was at the premiere of his brand-new movie, "Love and Other Drugs." So you know, we had to ask him about all of these reports of his possible new lady love.

And to say Jake squirms at the mention of Taylor Swift`s name - that`s a bit of an understatement. Take a look at this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JAKE GYLLENHAAL, ACTOR: Buddy, I would love to talk about that, but I have a movie I`m really proud of that I`d rather talk about. But thanks for asking.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: He was respectful. You know, I give him a lot of credit for that. We`ve got to ask the questions. That`s what we do. Now, I should point out Jake didn`t deny he was dating Taylor.

Sheryl Lee, you`ve been in Hollywood long enough to read between the lines here. I actually think these guys would make a great couple. What about you?

RALPH: Oh, you know, they usually say he doth protest too much. Well, he didn`t protest at all which makes me think, what kind of friends are they? I don`t think too much is going on there.

HAMMER: Wendy, let me get your take. Jake looked uncomfortable to me. You`re a trained expert. What did his body language tell you?

WALSH: I will tell you what it told me. First of all, from the meet- and-greet to full-on committed monogamous relationship, there is a huge stage of vulnerability and the media should not be involved in that stage. So they don`t know as a couple if they`re together. That`s what I got from that.

HAMMER: All right. That`s fair enough. I can respect that, even though we are the media. Wendy Walsh, Sheryl Lee Ralph, thank you very much.

RALPH: No couple. No couple.

HAMMER: Well, I`m really curious to know, what do you think of these guys as a couple? That`s why we want to hear from you in our exclusive SHOWBIZ TONIGHT poll. And this is what we`re asking - Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal Reportedly Dating: Are they a good match?" You may sound off right now, CNN.com/ShowbizTonight. You may E-mail us right now - showbiztonight@cnn.com.

ANDERSON: It looks like there`s a brand-new Bristol Palin-Levi Johnston nasty smack-down today.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ELLEN DEGENERES, HOST, "THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW": Do you think he`d be a good mayor? Do you think he knows about politics?

BRISTOL PALIN, DAUGHTER OF FMR. GOV. SARAH PALIN: No. I don`t think so.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Bristol Palin revealed she didn`t vote in the mid-term elections. I think it safe to say she`s not going to be voting for Levi for mayor of Wasilla either.

HAMMER: Yes, you bet. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s going to name the most provocative celebrity of the week in just a minute. Will it be Disney star Demi Lovato, checking into treatment? Portia De Rossi and her anorexia confessions? Or LeAnn Rimes now reportedly engaged to the man she had an affair with?

ANDERSON: Randy Quaid speaks out today about his wild conspiracy theory. Are "star whackers" out to get him?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

QUAID: If things keep going the way they are and we don`t do something to expose these people, my wife and I will be out on the street.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Randy`s brand new "star whacker" revelations today. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

HAMMER: Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Miley Cyrus splits from Liam Hemsworth again! Gwyneth Paltrow to sing PG-rated version of Cee-Lo Green`s (EXPLETIVE DELETED) on "Glee."

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is about to name the most provocative celebrity of the week. Will it be Demi Lovato for mysteriously quitting her tour with the Jonas Brothers and checking into a treatment facility? Or Portia De Rossi who revealed her lifelong struggles with eating disorders? How about LeAnn Rimes who revealed she cheated for love with Eddie Cibrian?

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with A.J. Hammer in New York. And just in today, Bristol Palin`s big wake up call for Levi Johnston.

HAMMER: This is fantastic, Brooke. It`s Bristol versus Levi. Here we go again. Now, they may not be engaged anymore but Bristol is slamming Levi`s political ambitions today in a brand-new, no-holds-barred interview. Sarah Palin`s daughter says Levi`s plan to run for mayor of her hometown in Alaska is a really bad idea. You think?

Right now, in New York, Megan Alexander, who is a correspondent for "Inside Edition." Also in New York, K. Foxx, who is a radio host of Hot 97`s "Morning Show" in New York City.

So Levi Johnston has already told the world he`s running for mayor of Sarah Palin`s hometown, Wasilla, Alaska. In a brand-new interview with Ellen DeGeneres today, Levi`s ex, Bristol Palin, joined the masses who think it is a terrible idea and she gave what I think is a really good reason as to why he should think twice about his political aspirations. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

B. PALIN: He has to move to the city limits and get his GED before he can actually run. But if he wants to continue his education, that`s great.

DEGENERES: Do you think he would be a good mayor? Do you think he knows about politics?

B. PALIN: No.

DEGENERES: I just find it so surprising that he would run for - that`s an important position, right?

B. PALIN: Yes, it is an important position. And I don`t think he knows what he`s getting himself into.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes, again, you think? Megan, I think I have an idea here that perhaps Levi needs to take a page out of Bristol`s book of fame, maybe campaign for - I don`t know - a spot on "Dancing with the Stars" instead of mayor Wasilla. Don`t you think that would be a better idea?

MEGAN ALEXANDER, CORRESPONDENT, "INSIDE EDITION": Yes, and you have to wonder if he tried for that and lost. And that`s why he`s hoping for mayor. A.J., the guy hasn`t completed his high school education, as she shared. He doesn`t live in Wasilla.

He posed for "Playgirl" and let`s not forget, he went on national television and told outright lies about the Palin family and then later apologized. That smashed all credibility, if you asked me.

HAMMER: Really, getting naked for "Playboy" (sic) smashed his credibility? I can`t imagine (UNINTELLIGIBLE). Now, Levi has said that his run is part of a potential reality show, something called "Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor`s Office."

I think, obviously, that would be train wreck TV to try - you know, try and watch him run for mayor. It would be kind of fun to watch. But K. Foxx, are you with me that, really, at the end of the day, Levi - maybe he wins simply because he`s managing to hang on to the spotlight here?

K. FOXX, HOST, "THE MORNING SHOW": No, I don`t think that he`s managing to hang on to the spotlight at all. I think that he`s craving for attention and it`s very, very sad. Nobody wants to hear Levi Johnston`s political agenda. I mean, seriously, I know I don`t.

HAMMER: Well, let me tell you, so far, he`s admitted he doesn`t have a political agenda. So K. Foxx, you`re in good shape. Now, Bristol has obviously seen the political game played from the front row. Her mom was a governor and ran for the White House of course. Don`t you think that Levi should be taking some notes from Bristol here?

ANDERSON: Yes, yes. Clearly, A.J., like Bristol said Levi does not know what he`s getting himself into. And listen, you, guys, Levi did not get himself into the nominations for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s most provocative celebrity of the week celebrity of the week.

So who will SHOWBIZ TONIGHT name? Will it be Demi Lovato for her treatment center drama? Portia De Rossi for her dramatic eating disorder revelations? How about LeAnn Rimes for her cheating scandal?

OK. We also asked our wonderful viewers at home to text in their votes and vote on the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook page as well.

Let me tell you, the results are pretty stunning. Here we go. Text voters chose LeAnn Rimes by 49 percent. But check this out - Facebook fans voted for LeAnn Rimes with a whopping 75 percent.

Megan, what do you think? Who do you think should be named most provocative celebrity of the week here?

ALEXANDER: Well, that`s a good choice, but on a serious note, I chose Demi Lovato because we discussed teen and body image issues on this show all the time, Brooke. Just because you have fame and fortune does not mean that you don`t have regular problems. And the good news is she`s getting help. That was my choice.

ANDERSON: Yes, she`s taking a break to get help for herself. And yes, you can`t really argue with the choice of Demi Lovato here. But the time has come now for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT to name the most provocative celebrity of the week. Drum roll, please.

It is LeAnn Rimes for revealing that she cheated for love with Eddie Cibrian, breaking up her marriage and even reportedly getting engaged this week to Eddie. K. Foxx, what do you think? Did we get it right?

FOXX: I think that people like the scandal of the LeAnn Rimes story. But on a more global scale, I definitely think that Demi Lovato is the more provocative celebrity of the week only because she is a role model for these kids and Disney is a global network.

And she just went on tour with the Jonas Brothers. And there are conflicting reports coming out. Is she cutting herself? Is it an eating disorder?

ANDERSON: Yes.

FOXX: And there`s definitely some deeply-seated issues that she`s dealing with. So on a more serious level, I definitely think that Demi was the right choice.

ANDERSON: All right. She certainly is provocative as well. We`ll leave it there for now. Ladies - Megan Alexander, K. Foxx, thank you both so much.

HAMMER: Randy Quaid sets the record straight today about his wild conspiracy theories that there are "star whackers" out get him and his wife.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

QUAID: If things keep going the way they are and we don`t do something about it to expose these people, my wife and I will be out on the street.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Well, Randy says there`s a band of bad guys and bad gals out there to destroy celebrities, but should we believe him? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: ABC`s "Private Practice" ratings up 44 percent for episode dealing with sexual assault. U2 wins top draw and top tour awards at 2010 Billboard touring awards.

(MUSIC)

(SINGING)

HAMMER: From trapped Chilean miner to Elvis impersonator? Did you see this? Edison Pena is one of 33 miners rescued from that awful collapsed mine. And while he was underground for days and days and days, Pena jogged to keep both his body and his mind fit. Pena would listen to Elvis Presley songs on an iPod that was lowered underground while the rescue operation was underway.

Edison Pena is in New York City right now to run in the New York City marathon. And I`m happy to say a trip to Graceland is also in the works.

Well, Randy Quaid sets the record straight today about his wild conspiracy theory that so-called "star whackers" are out to get him and his wife.

Now, to say Quaid and his wife are taking a turn for the bizarre is putting mildly. Quaid and his wife, Evi are currently on the run from the law. They`re accused of trespassing and vandalism. And they missed a big court date this week. They`re holed up in Canada right now where they say they fled for their safety.

Today, in his first live television interview since all this started, Randy Quaid tells "The Early Show" his take on the danger of "star whackers."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

QUAID: If things keep going the way they are and we don`t do something it expose these people, my wife answered will be out on the street and we will be - we`ll have nothing to eat, OK? That`s how bad it is.

This is what I`m talking about when I mean by "star whacking." I mean, it`s not killing somebody necessarily. It`s just creating a scandal or a mystery around a celebrity that discredits them.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Well, Randy also said he believes the so-called "star whackers" played a role in the deaths of Heath Ledger and David Carradine. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you "star whackers" have not been linked to either of those celebrity deaths.

ANDERSON: I still do not know when to make of that story. OK. Thursday, we asked you to vote in our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll. I did just receive those final results. LeAnn Rimes said she cheated for love. Is it time to forgive her? Fifty-one percent of you say yes; 49 percent say no.

We got this E-mail. Amy from Minnesota says, "Society is harder on celebrity women who have affairs, not men. I feel sorry for LeAnn Rimes."

Over to the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook wall, Joy S. posted this message for LeAnn, "It is never OK to wreck a home. Once a cheater, always a cheater."

Tina A. says this, "Congrats to them. Yes, she made a mistake but that doesn`t mean she can`t move on with her life and try to find happiness like everyone else."

But Connie A. says, "Of course it won`t put the cheating scandal behind them. Their relationship is all about cheating and it always will be."

We do appreciate your Facebook posts and E-mails. Please keep them coming.

HAMMER: And of course, we thank you for watching. That is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is live at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Monday through Friday.

HAMMER: And we are still TV`s most provocative entertainment news show seven days a week. You`ll find us at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific right here on HLN.
