THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

A.J. HAMMER, CO-HOST: We`ve got big news breaking today on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT - the Kardashian card caper. The brand-new explosive fallout today over Kim, Khloe and Kourtney canceling their controversial debit card.

But wait, there`s more. Khloe`s confessions about losing her virginity at 14 years old. And our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint today - the Kardashians, do you get their popularity?

BROOKE ANDERSON, CO-HOST: Caught on tape, the shocking new video today of David Cassidy`s arrest for allegedly driving drunk.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE POLICE OFFICER: Do you have cataracts or anything like that?

DAVID CASSIDY, ACTOR: I do. However, I had a wandering eye as a child.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Why the former "Partridge Family" star insists he wasn`t plastered.

HAMMER: Matt Lauer loses it on live TV today.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MATT LAUER, CO-HOST, THE "TODAY" SHOW: I`m sorry.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Kate`s style - love it or hate it? Kate Middleton`s engagement dress flying off shelves today, but is Kate really fashion fabulous or a fashion flop?

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show -

ANDERSON: Starts right now.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

HAMMER: Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.

ANDERSON: Hi, there everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - Kardashian card crazy?

HAMMER: Yes, Brooke. Sure seems that way. And even the Kardashians agreed today that the debit card that carried their name was totally out of whack.

Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian have just pulled their name off the card after being threatened with a possible lawsuit and because the card was a real threat to their credibility.

The reason - it turned out that the card aimed at their young fans who worship them just carried absolutely outrageous charges. And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that the big question today is how did they agree to such a deal and not realize what they were getting into?

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) The Kardashian debit Mastercard featuring your favorite free- spending reality show siblings - up to $100 a year. Size of the industry the Kardashians had hoped to get a slice of - $330 billion. Being slammed for days in the media -

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It was a reason not to keep up with the Kardashians.

HAMMER: Priceless. Today, the Kardashian sisters, Kim, Kourtney and Khloe, are canceling their Mastercard-branded debit card after they spent days getting slammed for the card`s sky-high fees.

MAGGIE FURLONG, AOL TELEVISION AND MOVIEFONE: The Kardashian girls decided maybe it`s not a smart business move after all.

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you today the Kardashians survived sex tape scandals, tabloid breakups and reality show shenanigans, only to be swiped out by debit card fiasco. That never happened to Paris Hilton.

FURLONG: It`s probably the last scandal you would expect to be associated with the name Kardashian.

HAMMER: The Kardashians launched their Kardashian Kard - that`s Kard with a K - at splashy New York event just three weeks ago leaving everyone else to wonder why the heck would anyone want a prepaid debit card with the Kardashians on it?

FURLONG: I have to think it`s young kids. I can`t imagine anyone my age being proud to whip out a Kardashian credit card with Kim`s assets front and center.

HAMMER: But along with the glamour of the Kardashian name, the Kardashian card came with enough fees to make your head spin. It cost $59.95 for six months or $99.95 for 12 month. It would cost $7.95 a month to keep using the card, $1.50 to withdraw money from an ATM, $1.50 to talk on the phone with a customer service rep and $6 just to cancel it.

No wonder they called it the Kardashian card. You have to be as rich as a Kardashian to afford it. Well, it wasn`t long before consumer advocates like Suze Orman were slamming the card as a rip-off.

FURLONG: The fees on the card are so exorbitant that the attorney general of Connecticut is calling it predatory and possibly illegal.

HAMMER: With Connecticut`s attorney general and U.S. Senator-elect Richard Blumenthal threatening an investigation, the Kardashians waved the white flag, and today, their card is kaput.

In a new statement to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, the Kardashians say, quote, "The Kardashians have worked extremely long and hard to create a positive public persona that appeals to everyone, particularly young adults."

"Unfortunately, the negative spotlight turned on the Kardashians as a result of the attorney general`s comments and actions threatens everything for which they have worked."

FURLONG: Maybe they realized it wasn`t worth the hype after all.

HAMMER: The Kardashians have become multi-millionaires by putting their names on almost everything, from workout DVDs to a perfume line, even a line of watches.

FURLONG: They`ve had like branded lollipops. The sky is the limit. Anything they could actually make money off of, they`re going to go ahead and stamp their name on.

BARBARA WALTERS, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER AND CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": You have endorsed more things than almost anyone we know. Is there anything you want to endorse?

HAMMER: Just hours before they canceled before their card, the Kardashians appeared on "The View" and insisted they do turn down endorsements every now and then.

KIM KARDASHIAN, REALITY TV STAR: There`s been like butt-enhancement pills and weird stuff that people try to get us to endorse and daily.

HAMMER: AOL TV`s Maggie Furlong tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT their debit card fiasco proves the Kardashians may need to be more careful with the Kardashian name.

FURLONG: If they`re going to put their name on something, these girls really need to be smarter about what it is they`re putting their name on, what the implications are and maybe some details.

HAMMER: So as painful as it was, getting slammed by consumer advocate, politicians and just about everyone else, the debit card fiasco may have taught the Kardashians a little something today. As we all know, the value of a painful lesson learned is priceless.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

I`m sitting here wondering how the heck did the Kardashians let something like this happen?

Right here, in Atlanta, is Jenn Hobby who is the co-host of radio`s "The Bert Show." And right now, with me in New York, Ereka Vetrini, senior editor of "In Touch Weekly."

I`ve got to say I am surprised that smart, well-lawyered women like the Kardashian sisters would actually get into this seemingly shady debit card deal. Ereka, how do you think this happened?

EREKA VETRINI, SENIOR EDITOR, "IN TOUCH WEEKLY": Well, you know, they`re so darn popular right now. They`ve got diet pills. They have their clothing line. They have so many opportunities and I don`t think they`re actually thinking through all of the deals.

I want to believe that it just slipped by them, that they didn`t read the fine print, because if they had, I don`t think they would have gone this route.

HAMMER: I hope somebody`s getting very yelled at in their camp, because, obviously, it`s the lawyers and their managers who really are supposed to be reading the fine print.

VETRINI: And hope they do the right thing. The next step would be to actually refund, not just the balances, but the initial fees, which I don`t think they`ve said they were going to do just yet.

HAMMER: Well, I don`t think they had a chance but to pull the plug on this deal or they`d be risking some serious consequences.

Jenn, what do you think? Did they already bungle their image by trying to sell a bad deal to their fans? Or think about this - does their last-minute save kind of make them more popular than ever?

JENN HOBBY, CO-HOST, "THE BERT SHOW": I think they`ve really built up some credibility with their fans already. Everyone loves the Kardashian sisters.

You get sucked into their marathon shows and everyone just really wants to be a part of that family. So I think they built up enough credibility for everyone to, like you said, blame someone in their camp, an attorney or a management person who really needed to look at that fine print more clearly and protect the girls from something like this happening.

HAMMER: Is it wrong that -

VETRINI: I just think they need to say something.

HAMMER: Yes.

VETRINI: I think it needs to be a statement from the Kardashian camp -

HAMMER: Yes. From themselves. Yes.

VETRINI: Saying, "You know what? We didn`t do it properly. This was not the right deal for us. This project was not, you know, something that we endorsed or completely thought about." And then, again, give back the fees.

HAMMER: Right. And well, you make a good point that they need to come up to a microphone or get on TV and say something because the fact is, this has become a pretty big deal and everybody has been talking it. And is it so wrong that I`m becoming a Kardashian sisters fan?

HOBBY: Oh, no. Oh, not them.

HAMMER: All of a sudden, it just started to happen. I don`t know where that came from. Well, we do have to get to more news breaking today with the Kardashians. There is big buzz today over a stunning revelation from Khloe Kardashian. And Brooke Anderson, please tell us what Khloe said.

ANDERSON: Well, it was deep, A.J. Khloe revealed a shocking and intensely personal revelation about losing her virginity when she was just 14 years old. She says she shared this really dramatic story because she wants to make sure young women everywhere are not pressured into having sex too young. Listen to what she told the ladies of "The View."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SHERRI SHEPHERD, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": Khloe, you said that you lost your virginity at 14 with an older man. That`s a pretty personal story to share.

KHLOE KARDASHIAN, REALITY TV STAR: He was only I think 18, but for 14 to 18, now looking back, I think that`s not a normal thing. I think little girls or teenagers, my sisters, need to know don`t let anybody pressure you. It`s not worth it and how I felt about myself afterwards.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Jenn, I`ve got to say I applaud Khloe`s honesty because I imagine it had to be really hard to go public with such intimate information, had to be a very painful memory for her.

HOBBY: Certainly, it did. But this is how the Kardashians work. They share part of their personal life, a very revealing, intimate part, as you said, but this is how their fans connect with them.

And I do commend her for sharing this story, sharing this part of her past because I think young girls, her fans especially, can learn from her mistakes and learn from her advice. You know, she says she felt disgusted afterwards and she wishes she could do it differently.

ANDERSON: Well, I`ve got to tell you whether they`re making personal revelations or endorsing product, the Kardashians have huge star power.

And get this, today, one of Google`s competitors, the search engine, Bing, revealed that Kim Kardashian is the most searched name on their site.

And that brings us to our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll. We are asking today, "The Kardashian Sisters: Do you get their popularity?"

I think it baffling but I think it`s understandable because millions of fans love their fashion, love their drama, love their glamorous lifestyles. Ereka, what do you think? Do you get it?

VETRINI: I completely get it. And the statement like with Khloe said is exactly why. They put it all out there. You feel like you know the sisters. They`re glamorous but they`re real. And they don`t hide anything or at least that`s the perception you get when you`re watching the show.

I adore them. I think they`re all really un-intimidating, too. They`re kind of like the girl next door with all the glamour and all the celebrity, but still relatable, and I think that`s why you watch them. Plus, they`re fun.

ANDERSON: Yes. I think they`re approachable. You`re right. And I think they`re sweet girls just really working hard to capitalize on their popularity. All right. We`re going to leave it there. Jenn Hobby, Ereka Vetrini, thank you both, ladies.

HAMMER: As we move on, caught on tape, the shocking new video today of David Cassidy` arrest for allegedly driving drunk.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE POLICE OFFICER: Do you have cataracts or anything like that? ?

CASSIDY: I do, however, I had a wandering eye as a child.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Why the former "Partridge Family" star basically says, "Hey, I wasn`t drunk. It was just my lazy eye." But will anybody buy that excuse?

HAMMER: A.J., Angelina Jolie is getting slammed today. There is a group of rape victims who are really upset with her. They`re so mad they`re taking their complaint all the way to the United Nations.

Also this -

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LAUER: Something struck me as funny. Oh, gosh.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: So what was so funny that Matt Lauer totally lost it on the "Today" show this morning? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Sneak peek of Justin Bieber movie, "Never Say Never" sells 26,000 tickets in just 12 hours. "Glee" covers Florence and the Machine`s "Dog Days are Over."

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Lindsay Lohan, "Dancing With The Stars"? Could it happen? Well, "Radar Online" reports today that the "Dancing" folks do want Lindsay on their show badly. But reportedly, "Dancing" producers are willing to delay the decision until after Li-Lo gets out of rehab, which is obviously a very smart move.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. And Brooke, there is some big, brand-new controversy today over the just-named hosts of next year`s Oscars.

ANDERSON: You`re right, A.J. Some people are asking are Anne Hathaway and James Franco Oscar worthy? The Academy Awards just announced that 28-year- old Hathaway and 32-year-old Franco will be hosting the Oscars in February. And that`s got a whole lot of people shaking their heads today.

So I`ve got to get - you know, A.J., I get what the Oscars are trying to do. They are trying to attract a younger crowd, boost the ratings, revitalize the telecast.

HAMMER: Yes.

ANDERSON: So I think a lot of people just really need to chill. What do you think?

HAMMER: Well, it`s really interesting to me, Brooke, that so many people seem so opposed to this, because the buzz has been palpable. It`s been loud.

People have been saying, "Oh, this will never work. I don`t see it happening." I think it`s a really inspired idea. I think it`s a terrific move.

Ken Baker, the chief news correspondent for "E!" joins us now. Ken, what do you think? I think this is a cool move and I get they`re trying to get this younger crowd with it.

KEN BAKER, CHIEF NEWS CORRESPONDENT, "E!": A.J., you`re brilliant. I always knew you were brilliant because I totally agree with you. I think that it`s not even just about age.

Look, last year they had Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin, obviously great comedic actors. They really gave a great performance, but it didn`t particularly move the ratings needle enough that the Academy said, "Hey, let`s bring them back," or "Let`s do the same thing."

They`re trying to do something totally different. It was pointed out, by the way, in something I was reading that Anne Hathaway is 28. James Franco is 32. And if you add up their age, it`s Steve Martin`s age.

So it`s just the two of them. And I think they`re clearly are doing that. In the press release, by the way, from Academy, they went right out and the set of the gate. They said they represent the next generation of Hollywood.

ANDERSON: The next generation.

BAKER: They`re clearly doing that. Yes.

ANDERSON: Yes. They absolutely are. And I`ve got to tell you, Ken, on "The View" this morning, the ladies really had a powwow about this. And you know, the consensus was that they think people known as comedians would do a better job.

But I`ve got to tell you Hugh Jackman hosted the Oscars in 2009. He did a great job. Also, Ken, James Franco - he`s got comedic skills. He was a riot in "Pineapple Express." Also, Anne Hathaway has done a great job hosting "Saturday Night Live." So, very quickly, they could be perfect.

BAKER: Yes. Well, actually, Anne Hathaway - not only her "SNL" appearances have been very funny, very entertaining, don`t forget, Anne Hathaway was on with Hugh Jackman and did a song and dance number a couple years ago at the Oscars and it was great. It was one of the best parts about that show. And also -

ANDERSON: Yes. Part of that opening number.

(CROSSTALK)

ANDERSON: You`re right. So she`s got a lot of experience on that Oscar stage. I, for one, can`t wait to see them do it.

BAKER: Absolutely.

ANDERSON: Ken Baker, thank you. Good to see you.

HAMMER: Moving on now from Oscar host to Oscar winner, Jane Fonda. At a remarkable 72 years old, Jane just released two brand-new workout DVDs, called "Jane Fonda Primetime."

I spoke with Jane today and she revealed to me startling details about her recent breast cancer scare.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(on camera) You did recently reveal that you had a breast cancer scare. How are you doing now?

JANE FONDA, ACTRESS: Thank you, I`m fine. I`m - actually, I`m lucky. I had a noninvasive kind of cancer that`s been dealt with. And it`s an interesting experience to go through. I`ve just joined a family millions of women who have experienced this.

And you know, it just shows the importance of staying up on your - you know, having your mammograms and, you know, paying attention.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Jane`s two new workout DVDs are called "Jane Fonda Primetime: Fit and Strong" and "Walk Out." You can pick them up right now.

ANDERSON: Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift`s relationship seems fit and strong - I mean, their reported relationship. Jake and Taylor are keeping quiet about dating. But do you love them or hate them together? The surprising results of the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll.

HAMMER: I actually am kind of surprised how that poll turned out. Wait until you see that. Also, how about Kate Middleton`s style? Do you love it or do you hate it?

Well, I can tell you that Kate`s engagement dress - it is flying off shelves today. But is Prince William`s bride-to-be fashion fabulous or a fashion flop? You think about it. We`ve got a royal debate right here.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

ANDERSON: Oh, no! Did she forget she was live? Boyle`s big bomb. Susan Boyle`s big oops on "The View" today. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

HAMMER: Time to roll out the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - these are more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Madonna opens her first "Hard Candy" gym in Mexico City. She teaches a dance class there! "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" director tweets first promo picture from the film.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(MUSIC PLAYING)

ANDERSON: Bless her. Did you see this? Susan Boyle tries to hit a high note and fell flat. So what made Susan suddenly stop singing today?

Susan Boyle has the voice of an angel. But Susan has some trouble with that golden voice of hers during a live performance on "The View" today. Somehow a frog got stuck in her throat and caused Susan to, well, croak. Watch.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

ANDERSON: Get that woman some water. Sherri and Whoopi graciously saved her. Susan asked if she could start over but unfortunately, on live TV, there are no do-overs.

HAMMER: Not bad. Well, there are a lot the posts on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook wall today about "Bridalplasty," that`s that shocking "E!" show all about brides-to-be who are competing for plastic surgery.

Most of you writing in do not like the show. However Camille G. is a fan posting, "I think it`s funny. I`m going to watch it just so I can see how their husbands react to their new faces.

ANDERSON: A.J., lots of calls coming in to "Showbiz on Call," too. Lindsay thinks "Bridalplasty" is bridal horror.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

LINDSAY, CALLER: I think it`s disgusting, that show, "Bridalplasty." I would never want my daughter to watch that. If these women are so happy getting married, then why do they feel the need to change themselves? So I just hope the rest of America can see how disgusting it is.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Thanks for your call, Lindsay. Call us at "Showbiz on Call" and let us know how you feel about this or anything else that you are thinking about. The "Showbiz on Call" phone lines are always open for your convenience. The number, A.J., is 1-888-SBT-BUZZ; that`s 1-888-728-2899. Simply leave your voicemail. HAMMER: Time now for the SHOWBIZ lineup - here`s what`s coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT at the bottom of the hour.

Caught on tape. The shocking new video today of David Cassidy`s arrest for allegedly driving drunk. Why the former "Partridge Family" star insists he wasn`t plastered.

Wait, is this right here? A "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star who is broke now teaching a class on how to get your life together?

And Lindsay Lohan wants a restraining order today, but who is she afraid of? The surprising answer is coming up. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

This is the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Kara DioGuardi writing a memoir about "American Idol." Reese Witherspoon tells "Glamour" magazine as she`s gotten older, she`s felt sexier.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Big news breaking today on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT - the shocking new video today of David Cassidy`s arrest for allegedly driving drunk.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE POLICE OFFICER: Do you have cataracts or anything like that?

CASSIDY: I do, however, I had a wandering eye as a child.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: "Partridge Family" star is blaming his arrest on his lazy eye?

ANDERSON: Kate`s style, love it or hate it? Kate Middleton`s engagement dress sparked a fashion frenzy. Is she a new fashion phenomenon or a major flop?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LAUER: Something struck me as funny. Oh, gosh.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: So what in the world made Matt Lauer lose it like this on live TV today?

Plus, breaking today from the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker," a brand-new Michael Jackson song released today and Ryan Seacrest`s mega-million dollar deal.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It`s 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - caught on tape, David Cassidy`s DUI arrest. The dramatic and equally shocking new video today of David Cassidy`s arrest for allegedly driving drunk in Florida.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE POLICE OFFICER: You`re being arrested for DUI, sir. What`s going to happen here is they`re going to take you down to the blood testing center. They`re going to test your blood, and then if need be, they`re going to test your urine.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: In the brand-new tape just released, the former child star actually blames his lazy eye for the mix-up. Just hours ago, the former child actor pleaded not guilty to the DUI charge.

Right now, from Hollywood is Debra Opri. She is a family law attorney. And also, in Hollywood, Ken Baker, who is the chief news correspondent with "E!"

So just after the Florida Highway Patrol pulled over David Cassidy on suspicion of drunk driving on November 3rd, a trooper asked Cassidy if he had any problems with his eyes, and this is what happened next.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE POLICE OFFICER: Do you have cataracts or anything like that?

CASSIDY: I do, however, I a wandering eye as a child.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE POLICE OFFICER: OK.

CASSIDY: I had a surgery at 12 years old. I had deformed muscles which is associated with farsightedness.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE POLICE OFFICER: All right I am not an obstetrician - that`s all right.

CASSIDY: That`s OK. I`m not asking you to be. I am just telling you what you asked me my eyes. My right eye still wanders sometimes.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: All right. Well, that wandering eye actually got him arrested. He failed the sobriety test. He claimed he was on prescription medication.

And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT confirmed that Cassidy officially pleaded not guilty today in court. So as odd as I think it sounds, Debra, could the old lazy eye and prescription drug defense actually get David off here?

DEBRA OPRI, FAMILY LAW ATTORNEY: The lazy eye routine has absolutely nothing to do with a breathalyzer test, A.J., and we all know that. If it`s his first offense in Florida, his not being in court today is really not a problem. I think he will plead out, go to an alcohol class and, hopefully, stay out of the lazy eye lane.

HAMMER: Well, you know, nothing is funny about allegedly drunk-driving. But I think what`s funny about the clip it almost sounds like he`s on stage. He`s saying "I had a wandering eye as a child."

I mean, it really felt like he was performing. Now, Ken, remembering, of course, innocent until proven otherwise here, do you think David Cassidy`s excuse is just ridiculous?

BAKER: Yes. He was very thespian-like, though. I have to give him credit for that. I mean, all those years when he was in Vegas, doing his act there, may have finally paid off on the highway there in Florida.

But at first, I was trying to figure out how this may be a suitable defense. Of course, Debra can speak to a lot of legal tactics here. But when I first heard that he claimed a wandering eye, my first thought was maybe he was driving down the street and saw a woman or something.

Wandering eye - that maybe I`d believe because he barely was crossing lanes or this or that. But the fact was, it was at night. It was raining and it was on a highway in Florida.

It doesn`t seem like there`s any legitimate defense there. And particularly he did do the breathalyzer. He blew well over .08, which is the legal limit and it does not look good for him.

And it certainly seems that, at least, when we`ve seen a lot of these celebrity cases, you know, he`ll probably plead out. And like Debra said, he`ll probably just have to take care it, maybe go to a diversity program.

HAMMER: Yes.

BAKER: But it is troubling. He has had a very - you know, it`s a sad life and a lot of weird moments in his career.

HAMMER: Yes.

BAKER: He`s had a lot of ups and downs. And so, that particularly is very sad to see, that video.

HAMMER: Brooke Anderson, I`m thinking right about now, Danny Bonaduce is watching all this, saying, "See, I`m not the only `Partridge` kid who has had difficulty."

ANDERSON: Probably. Probably. And we won`t even talk about the cop saying he wasn`t an obstetrician. You know, that has nothing to do with lazy eye. I think the cop was a little bit caught off guard.

But here`s the thing. David was trying to answer a legitimate question but he was allegedly extremely impaired, and that is a really dangerous combo. It can make anybody look or sound pretty stupid as it did in this case.

And I`ve got to move to this, A.J., because there`s even more big news breaking today. Lindsay Lohan has a brand-new message for the paparazzi today. Angelina Jolie has a new battle in Bosnia and teen mom, Amber Portwood, reunites with her baby. It`s all making big news in "The Buzz Today."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(voice-over) Teen mom gets her baby back. Amber Portwood, the star of MTV`s "Teen Mom," has reportedly been reunited with her two-year-old daughter, Leah. The State of Indiana placed Leah with her dad last week after Portwood was hit with domestic violence charges.

She was caught on camera beating up the baby`s father right in front of the little girl. Portwood could get up to three years in jail if convicted. Angelina ignorant? That`s what a group of Bosnian rape victims are reportedly calling Jolie today.

The women are not happy about a movie Angelina shot in Bosnia because it supposedly is about a rape victim who falls in love with her attacker. But "The Hollywood Reporter" says that`s not true.

The Bosnian women are complaining to the United Nations and want Jolie stripped of her title as U.N. goodwill ambassador.

Lindsay Lohan wants the paparazzi to back off. And she`s going to court to get it done. TMZ reports that Lindsay wants a restraining order to keep the paparazzi from chasing her.

Lindsay was about to get her driving privileges back, but the Betty Ford Rehab Center nixed that because they thought the paparazzi were creating an unsafe situation by tailing Lindsay.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

So Lindsay wants paparazzi to back off. Let`s not forget that Lindsay has always used the paparazzi to her advantage.

So while this may seem a little bit hypocritical, I actually do think this is a sign that Lindsay is finally taking a step in the right direction, wants to clean up her act, wants to lead a different life. Debra, are you buying it?

OPRI: No, I`m not buying it because Lindsay is still reporting to the Betty Ford Center alternative sentencing. She has to basically go along with the program they`re giving her. And they don`t feel it`s safe for her to be out there with the paparazzi.

She`s not a Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis who set legal precedent with a 100-yard restraining order from the press.

ANDERSON: You don`t think it`s a genuine effort on Lindsay`s part to get the paparazzi to back off?

OPRI: I think she just wants to drive. She just wants to drive and she wants to go to court and say, "Help me. Get them away from me." She`s not going to do it because it`s public roads. Unless they`re posing a threat to her safety and anyone else`s there`s not going to be action taken. What control do they have?

ANDERSON: You`re calling baloney here on this effort?

OPRI: Oh, salami -

ANDERSON: OK. Salami, baloney, whatever. Well, Lindsay Lohan isn`t the only one trying to, you know, change her ways today. We just learned today that Teresa Giudice who stars in the Bravo reality show, "Real Housewives of New Jersey", will be teaching a class at the Learning Annex in New York City in January.

As we know, Teresa has filed for bankruptcy. Her life has been in shambles but the class she will be teaching is described as a class to teach you how to get your life in the right direction. And it will all be for just $44.95. Ken, is this just nuts?

BAKER: You know what? Sign me up. I totally would take this class. Now, I might be biased being celebrity news reporter, but I think it would be fascinating. She`s got a great personality. I think she`ll have a lot of interesting things to say.

Now, what you have to keep in mind, though, is we`re not talking Harvard, Yale, Princeton. That would be ridiculous and absurd for her to do a class there. She`s not teaching a class there. It`s the Learning Annex, OK. So let`s just put it into perspective.

ANDERSON: OK. I think you just want some table-flipping, some hair- pulling, some confrontations.

OPRI: Lessons in violence.

ANDERSON: Lessons in violence, Debra says. Debra Opri, Ken Baker, thank you both.

HAMMER: OK. I cannot wait to show what you Matt Lauer did on live TV today.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LAUER: Something struck me as funny. Oh, gosh.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: So what in the world happened that caused Matt to lose it like this?

ANDERSON: Kate Middleton racked up major fashion points for wearing this royal blue stunner when she announced her engagement to Prince William. But when it comes to Kate`s style today, do you love it or do you hate it?

HAMMER: And did you see this? A famous football player, one this gets paid millions of dollars to catch the ball, drops the perfect pass and then, he does the unthinkable. He blames the Big Guy upstairs for his dropped pass.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

STEVE JOHNSON, NFL FOOTBALL PLAYER: Me? I`ll never get over it. I`ll never get over it. Ever.

JEANNE MOOS, CNN CORRESPONDENT: But Johnson`s tweet to God is what everyone else can`t get over.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Blaming God for your mistakes? That`s pretty lame. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Ryan Seacrest signs new three-year, $60 million contract with Clear Channel. Brand-new Michael Jackson song, "Much Too Soon," released today.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. And today, Prince William`s bride-to-be is creating a fashion craze.

ANDERSON: And we want to know, A.J., Kate Middleton`s royal style - do you love it or do you hate it? Remember that navy blue dress Kate wore when her engagement to Prince William was announced?

Well, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT found out today the dress is sold out in London and you need to get on wait list if you want to get it here in the U.S. So is Kate fashion fabulous or a fashion flop?

Right now, in Hollywood - in Atlanta rather, Jenn Hobby who is the co- host of radio`s "The Bert Show." And right now, in New York, Ereka Vetrini, who is the senior editor for "In Touch Weekly."

Jenn, Ereka, I can tell you that Kate Middleton`s sense of style already turning a lot of heads. Her navy blue Issa dress has really launched Kate as a fashion superstar.

Now, women want to copy Kate`s signature accessory, too, the hat that she wears. I think Kate`s style is effortless. I think it is beautiful. Ereka, how do you feel about it? Love it or hate it?

VETRINI: Love, love, love it. She always manages to look sophisticated. She wears things that flatter her figure. And because she does so, she also manages to be appropriately sexy, if I can say that correctly. She looks beautiful, gorgeous, young (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

ANDERSON: Jenn, love it or hate it? You want some hearts flying by your head? Or -

HOBBY: I agree. I agree with both of you. I completely love it. And I think whether she likes it or not, she`s going to be a fashion icon now. So I think everyone is going to be following her much more closely, whether she`s ready for that or not.

ANDERSON: Yes. And I think her style will be admired and duplicated just like Princess Diana`s was. But you know, ladies, Kate`s sense of style is not the only thing generating a whole lot of buzz today.

A.J., I hear Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal were spotted out again today -

HAMMER: Yes.

ANDERSON: Refueling the relationship reports.

HAMMER: Yes. I guess they were just saying, "Hey, this is who we are. This is what we`re doing." It`s all good. And Jake and Taylor were seen again today. They were in Taylor`s hometown of Nashville just enjoying some breakfast together.

If they are, in fact, dating, do they make a good couple? I`ve got to tell you, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT set off a heated debate when we asked in our exclusive poll this - "Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift Reportedly Dating: Love it? Hate it?"

We asked people to text their messages to us, their votes. And here are the results. Not really a landslide but 64 percent of you save you love the idea of Jake and Taylor dating, with 36 percent saying you hate it. Ereka, I`ve got to tell you I`m with the "love it" crew. I am.

VETRINI: No.

HAMMER: I like him. I think she is lovely. I think it`s a terrific pair.

VETRINI: What`s lovely did b this? I love Jake. I love everything about him and I don`t want to hear about him in a future song of Taylor`s. She`s 20 years old. He`s 29 years old. He`s usually into more serious relationships. How serious is he going to get with Taylor Swift? He`s just a friend.

HAMMER: But maybe he needs a break from having a serious relationship. I`m OK with that. I don`t know. Jen, you know, what do you think? Love it or hate it on your side?

HOBBY: I hate it.

VETRINI: Yay!

HOBBY: I think it creepy. I still see her as a teenager for some reason in my mind. She can`t ever grow up past the age of 17, so I think it really creepy.

In comparison to his last relationship with Reese Witherspoon, she`s a much older, more mature woman. And that`s what we`re used to seeing him with.

HAMMER: I hear you. That didn`t work out. Hello!

HOBBY: I know, I know, I know. But I do think we`re ready for Tay-Jay for their celebrity mash-up thing. What do you think of that?

HAMMER: Yes. For that reason alone, you should love it. Is it too late to get the hearts in here? Can we put some hearts?

HOBBY: No, no, no.

HAMMER: No, I can`t. It`s not going to happen. All right. We will leave it at that then. I`m the only lover of this relationship among the three of us. Jenn Hobby, Ereka Vetrini, I thank you both.

ANDERSON: All right. Moving on now, Buffalo Bills star receiver Steve Johnson drops a perfect pass and blows the game for his team. So instead of eating some humble pie, Mr. Butterfingers blamed God. Wait a minute. God made him do it? Give me a break.

Here`s CNN`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over): Steve Johnson didn`t just drop the game winning pass; he passed the blame to God. Sure he was sorry.

JOHNSON: Me, I`ll never get over it. I`ll never get over it. Ever.

MOOS: But Johnson`s tweet to God was what everyone else can`t get over, a tweet recited by anchors with gusto.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I praise you 24/7 and this is how you do me? You expect me to learn from this? How? I`ll never forget this! Ever! Thanks, though.

MOOS: At least he said thanks.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What an absolute moron!

MOOS (on camera): Steve Johnson violated two commandments, thou shalt not drop a touchdown pass and thou really shalt not blame God if you do.

(voice-over) Headline writers had a field day - "God dropped Steve Johnson`s pass." "Blame God for your butterfingers." "Football player picks fight with God on Twitter." Usually celebrities are giving God credit.

MARIAH CAREY, SINGER: I have to thank God as always because this is a blessing to be here tonight.

MOOS: We can`t imagine how god feels about being thanked. Folks at Mad TV did.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Stop thanking me, OK? Stop thanking. I don`t know any of you people and, quite frankly, I think all of your music sucks.

MOOS: Reminds us of what comedian Kathy Griffin said when she won an Emmy.

KATHY GRIFFIN, COMEDIAN: All I can say is, suck it, Jesus. This award is my God now.

MOOS: Kathy got lots of bleep for mocking those who thank Jesus. And now, Buffalo`s wide receiver, Steve Johnson, is on the receiving end. TMZ did a poll asking, "Who`s to blame, Steve or God?" Steve was way ahead of the Lord.

JOHNSON: When the biggest player needs to be made, you don`t make it, you know. You feel bad. I`m devastated right now.

MOOS (on camera): Well, at least comedian GEORGE CARLIN finally got his prayer answered.

GEORGE CARLIN, COMEDIAN: And what can we do to silence these Christian athletes who thank Jesus whenever they win, never mention his name when they lose. Not a word. You never hear them say, "Jesus made me drop the ball."

MOOS (VOICE-OVER): Well, now you have.

CARLIN: And this is how you do me? You never pick me up behind the line of scrimmage.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: All right. I want to bring you an update. Now, Steve Johnson later tweeted, "I did not blame God, people." Seriously. Still, the only one to blame for that dropped ball is Steve "Butterfingers" Johnson. Thank you, Jeanne Moos, for that report.

HAMMER: All right. Did you see Matt Lauer just totally lose it on live TV? Check this out.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LAUER: Something struck me as funny. Oh, gosh.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Such a precious moment. Well, I will show you exactly what made Matt Lauer laugh out loud like this. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: "Jersey Shore" stars Situation, Snooki to present VH1 Divas salute to the troops. Ben Affleck tells Ellen DeGeneres how he picked his wife`s Christmas gift.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BEN AFFLECK, ACTOR: I spent the whole time fretting about that, you know, being nervous and hoping she likes it. And I end up like at CVS on the 24th. Maybe she`ll like a little Godzilla that goes around.

ELLEN DEGENERES, HOST, "THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW": You talking about for your wife or your kids?

AFFLECK: For my wife.

DEGENERES: For your wife?

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LAUER: Something struck me as funny. Oh, gosh

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: And he`s a trained professional. Matt Lauer totally losing it on live TV this morning. So why is the "Today" show anchor just laughing up a storm right in the middle of a segment about rising food prices?

Food prices? What the heck is so funny about that? Well, did you see this? Matt and "Today" financial editor, Jean Chatzky, just chatting away about why food is getting more expensive. And then, well, just watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LAUER: The size of the package is very important?

JEAN CHATZKY, FINANCIAL EDITOR, THE "TODAY" SHOW: It actually is important because a trick that some of these retailers will use is to shrink the size of the package, the size of the box, the size of the container.

LAUER: Something struck me as funny. Oh, gosh.

CHATZKY: They`re going to continue to stick with the generic brands as they go.

LAUER: What about sales?

CHATZKY: If you can get yourself to really pay attention to couponing - I`m going to kill you. You can get people to really pay attention to couponing through the circulars that you get in the Sunday papers, you`re going to be able to continue to get better deals.

Meredith is not helping me out here. I want you to know my partner is making it harder on me here. And you don`t have to sacrifice healthy choices for junk food. Please stay here, doesn`t leave.

CHATZKY: If you`re looking at bringing home fruits and vegetables, things like that, those are where prices are going to go up. Look at the freezer section because they`re cheaper and you can make sure that your family still gets a healthy meal on the table.

LAUER: Sometimes wording just is -

CHATZKY: I`m sorry about that.

LAUER: Did you do that?

MEREDITH VIEIRA, CO-HOST, THE "TODAY" SHOW: Yes.

LAUER: Thanks.

VIEIRA: Jean Chatzy, thank you so much. Talk to me again about the package.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: All right. You know, Matt, we`ve all been there. I just can`t imagine what was so funny, though.

ANDERSON: I can`t either. They did try to soldier on though. Despite the giggle, I loved that. All right. But A.J., there`s nothing funny about a brand-new episode of "Law and Order Los Angeles."

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has your first look at the episode that may remind you of a very famous golf star and his many, many alleged mistresses. Oh, yes. There`s also a part of a golf club-wielding wife. So is "Law and Order" all about Tiger Woods? Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ANNOUNCER: Sports icon -

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: The golf superstar?

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: You fell in the pool and your wife was trying to save you?

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: Crazy.

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: Crazy.

ANNOUNCER: And we`re just getting started.

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: The murder weapon was found in his master bath.

UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: He`s a pig, a filthy pig.

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: We`re having a big game here and I only get one shot.
