A.J. HAMMER, CO-HOST: We`ve got big news breaking today on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Nick goes nuts. Nicolas Cage`s startling new meltdown at a night club caught on tape.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

NICOLAS CAGE, ACTOR: (EXPLETIVE DELETED)

BROOKE ANDERSON, CO-HOST: A Miley bong cover-up? Blockbuster new reports today. Did Miley Cyrus` people do extraordinary things to keep that explosive video of hers smoking from a bong from ever coming out?

HAMMER: New Michael Jackson outrage today. Why the Black Eyed Peas` WillI.Am is disgusted over Michael`s new album and anger over a TV show reenacting Michael`s autopsy.

ANDERSON: The most shocking splits of the year. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT reveals the star breakups that left us speechless.

HAMMER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show --

ANDERSON: Starts right now.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.

ANDERSON: Hi there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today. Caught on tape, Cage and Cyrus.

HAMMER: Yes, Brooke. Nicolas Cage and Miley Cyrus have something very much in common today. Both of them caught on tape in pretty embarrassing situations. Miley, of course, toking away on a bong, and today, a cape of cage service straight from the school of Mel Gibson rage.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CAGE: You want to kill me? Go for it, brothers! I`ll (EXPLETIVE DELETED) because of honor. I`ll (EXPLETIVE DELETED) right now.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: It is Nick on cape, an obscenity-filled tantrum, losing his cool outside a night club in Romania, and he was not gone in 60 Seconds. So, what set him off? Wait till you see this tape. We`ve been working hard all day long bleeping out those obscenities. But first, startling new developments today surrounding the Miley Cyrus bong video reports of a cover-up, threats and a warning to Miley.

With us now in the E! news studio in Los Angeles is Giuliana Rancic who is an anchor and managing editor of E! News. She`s got a great reality show on the (INAUDIBLE), Giuliana, she`s got a new book out. Busy, busy bee, doing a whole lot. Another busy bee here in Hollywood, we have "Inside Edition" chief correspondent, Jim Moret. He`s also the author of the book, "The Last Day of My Life."

Giuliana, Jim, we know that Miley Cyrus and her people cannot be happy about that video of her smoking something from a bong. And today, a report of a possible attempt at a cover-up of this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(LAUGHTER)

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Well, there`s a brand new report today that Miley`s people may have tried to cover all of this up by giving folks who had copies of the video on their computers brand new computers in exchange. But, they couldn`t get them all, obviously. So, here`s our Showbiz Flashpoint, can Miley dig herself out of this mess? Jim, what do you think?

JIM MORET, "INSIDE EDITION" CHIEF CORRESPONDENT: you know what, first of all, it doesn`t surprise me that her camp reportedly knew about these tapes. The primary interest in her camp is don`t let it get out. And one of the things that we reported today at "Inside Edition" is that the person who took the video has actually been getting death threats.

ANDERSON: I was going to get to that.

MORET: Yes. I mean, you know, you want to manage your star, but when your star is 18, and she`s seemingly out of control, and she`s acting out in this way, it`s dangerous.

ANDERSON: Yes. Parents who recently filed for divorce, going through a tough time. Giuliana, what do you think, to our Showbiz Flashpoint, can Miley dig herself out of this mess?

GIULIANA RANCIC, ANCHOR, "E! NEWS": This is going to be a tough one. I mean, in Hollywood, everyone anyone can make a comeback. We`ve seen it happen a million times, but the problem is she`s a Disney star. She`s a Disney darling. And now, she`s going to have to get the respect and love back from parents, you know, who love her and have let their children watch her for years. And, you know, the whole role model status, I`m not sure she can get that back.

ANDERSON: Yes, she`s got a lot of young fans who is trying (ph) to emulate her. Go ahead, Jim.

MORET: It`s not just this. It`s the pole dancing. It`s the photography. You know, it`s the acting in inappropriate ways for a young girl when she`s a role model to 13 and 14-year-olds.

ANDERSON: It`s an accumulation of things. She`s making it clear she is not a teenager or a youngster anymore. She still is a teenager, but she`s making it clear she`s kind of a rebel, kind of an adult now. But listen to this, you guys, our good friend, Dr. Drew Pinsky, who is coming to HLN primetime very soon, has an interesting theory here.

Drew who host `celebrity Rehab" thinks that Miley may be acting out here because her parents recently announced their split. And Dr. Drew tells "Access Hollywood" that Miley needs help ASAP. Listen to what he said.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DR. DREW PINSKY, HOST OF "CELEBRITY REHAB": I mean, you know, we know that she`s going to be acting out now because her family`s in trouble. So, it`s not unusual to see, you know, depression manifesting various kind of acting out behavior. If I had a child that was doing that or if I was advising parent, I would say get professional help immediately. This cat is out of the bag. This is a child who is in trouble, and who is suffering, and this is her way of trying to manage that. Get professional help.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Jim, I think Miley is certainly on a slippery slope here. So, do you agree with Dr. Drew that she may need to sound the alarm immediately here?

MORET: You know, he`s a parent, he`s a doctor, he`s an addiction specialist. He`s seen this kind of behavior before. He`s probably right. He probably is.

ANDERSON: Yes, he`s an expert at this, got a lot of experience. And there is a disturbing new report today, and Jim mentioned this earlier, that the woman who reportedly shot the video of Miley smoking from that bong got really nasty threats on her Twitter page to the point that she had to shut it down. Giuliana, I`m thinking we should not underestimate the wrath of Miley`s fans.

GIULIANA RANCIC: Absolutely. They are some devoted fans. And they`re really upset. But you know what, when you watch that video and you listen to that girl egging her on, I mean, that girl is a blatant enabler. And so, I can see how Miley fans are really upset. That was the first thing I thought when I watched that video about the friend. I said, you know, regardless of whether or not she leaked it because, you know, sources say she did not leak it, but really, how did it get out if she didn`t leak it.

ANDERSON: Right.

GIULIANA RANCIC: But, you know, still just her behavior on that tape, I know that those were friends that, you know, were not true friends in high school. The girls who spoke like that to you, who enabled you. So, you know, I can see people who really love Miley. I can see them being very upset with that girl.

ANDERSON: Giuliana, that was exactly the first thing I thought as well like who are these so-called friends who is filming her, who is doing this? I think Miley probably needs to clean how stat. And we reached out to Miley again today for comment and radio silence as of show time. But, A.J., today, I hate to say it, but there`s another star dealing with an embarrassing video, Nicholas Cage.

HAMMER: Yes, Brooke. It really is embarrassing. Wait until you see what I`m about to show you. And let`s just say he`s not acting as festive as Miley. Yes, cell phone video service today on a Romanian TV station of Cage just freaking out outside a night club in Bucharest early Sunday morning. It is safe to say that Cage is in a rage. Take a look.

CAGE: Get in that car and walk away! Otherwise -- you want to kill me? Go for it brothers! I`ll (EXPLETIVE DELETED) because of honor. I`ll (EXPLETIVE DELETED) right now. You want to (EXPLETIVE DELETED) kick me in the head? Go for it! Get off me! Get off me! Don`t touch me!

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: You know, I look at that and I think, man, maybe Cage needs some of what Miley was smoking. But here`s the thing. Even though, we don`t know what set him off, Jim, are people just going to say, you know what, so what, who cares, you know, that`s Nicolas Cage and that`s how he acts?

MORET: I don`t know. I think that you always have to be mindful that everybody has a cell phone camera nowadays, and if you become a punch like for late-night comedians like, you know, this guy is going to, it`s not good for your career, because this tape will never go away because everyone will replay it just like we`re doing right now.

HAMMER: Yes. There is no question about that, but the big mystery is, of course, you know, who exactly is Cage yelling at in the video? Well, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has some ideas. Of course, let me run through them for you right now. Could Cage actually be raging perhaps at his accountants, you know, for getting him in that whole tax mess? He owes millions of dollars there.

Maybe Cage is raging at his agents, his latest movies, they haven`t done so well. And you know, Cage could possibly be raging, I don`t know, at his anger management counselor for obvious reasons. Giuliana, what do you think is going on here?

GIULIANA RANCIC: I think B. I`m going with option B. I`d be (INAUDIBLE) like how is this possible. I went from being an Oscar winner to shooting "Ghost Rider 2." I mean, come on, really. So, I can see him being a little PO`d at his agent. But, yes, you know, the guy is obviously not going through a good time right now.

I mean, it`s 5:00 in the morning, Lord knows what he`s been doing all night. This is not good. And we`ve seen celebrities do this time and time again. Hello. You said it, A.J. It`s like they`re in the, you know, era of cell phones and video cameras, this behavior doesn`t work anymore. It gets out, we all see it.

HAMMER: There`s no question. And yes, Cage and Miley, two perfect examples of exactly what you did just say. And we did reach out to Nick Cage`s spokesperson today. So far, no comment on exactly what set Nick off. I`m still going with the anger management counselor. Giuliana Rancic, Jim Moret, thank you both very much.

ANDERSON: And now to the most shocking splits of the year today. I`m revealing the breakups that totally caught us off guard and left us floored.

HAMMER: And we are going down under with Oprah today. We got your very first look at Oprah`s Australian adventure. She`s there with the audience. She surprised with that amazing trip.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(CHEERING)

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Oprah getting her men at work on there. Can`t wait to show you this.

ANDERSON: A snowman gets slaughtered. Caught on tape, the bus which flattened frosty. Was this guy a total scrooge or was running over the snowman actually a good thing? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN, news and views.

HAMMER: Time for the Showbiz News Ticker, more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom, making news today.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON (voice-over): Hollywood`s award season kicks off today. The Golden Globe nominations are out. And great news for this one, Halle Berry, she`s nominated for Best Actress in a drama for "Frankie and Alice." It`s based on a true story. Halle plays a woman with multiple personality disorder. Congratulations, Halle.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON (on-camera): Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood, A.J. Hammer in New York.

HAMMER: And Brooke, Halle is celebrating her big nomination today, but I bet even more than her acting, Halle is so proud of her charity work. For a decade, she has been volunteering and donating hew own money to the Genesee Center in Los Angeles. It`s a shelter for domestic violence victims, a cause that she has a very personal connection to. Here now is CNN`s Alina Cho for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with another big star who is giving back in a big way.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

CHO (voice-over): It`s been a personal crusade for Halle Berry for more than a decade. A secret that she`s kept hidden for the early part of her life is watching her mother being abused.

How does that shape you as an adult?

HALLE BERRY, ACADEMY AWARD-WINNING ACTRESS: Well, you know, honestly, I think I`ve spent my adult life dealing with the sense of low self-esteem that that sort of implanted in me. Somehow, I felt not worthy.

CHO: Do you know how many people in the world would say, are you kidding me? You`re Halle Berry.

BERRY: I`m sure because that`s Halle Berry, but before I`m Halle Berry, I`m Little Halle who was a little girl growing in this environment that damaged me in some ways. And I`ve spent my adult life trying to really heal from that.

CHO: This is amazing.

Part of that healing happens here at the Genesee Center, a shelter for victims of domestic violence in Los Angeles where she volunteers. And she often shows up unannounced.

BERRY: I come here sometimes, and I play with the kids. I see the children, and so, I`m just regular old crackers to them. You know?

CHO: Really?

BERRY: And I love being regular old crackers. I have to say.

CHO: A far cry from the glamorous screen siren we know from the movies. But it is this work that Berry says is more important. More meaningful.

BERRY: Please help. Any way that you can.

I have a spot in my soul that understands the devastation that this causes a family and how hard it is to rebuild your self-esteem when you suffered.

CHO: It`s the reason why she`s taking on a personal project. Renovating these rundown apartments, so women who flee their abusive partners have a safe, happy place to live.

Very happy.

BERRY: Happy and where they can rejuvenate and feel hugged and loved.

CHO: And see what life can be like so they can dream of a better future.

BERRY: Well, we can turn these apartments around in two weeks.

CHO: Wow.

It`s something she couldn`t do for her mother, give strength to women who have been beaten, battered and broken down.

What is your message to any woman who might be watching out there who might be in a relationship that`s abusive?

BERRY: Get out. Don`t stay a moment longer. If there`s no shelter, go to a friend, go to the police station, go somewhere, but you go.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: That was CNN`s Alina Cho for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. And you can catch Alina`s terrific special profiling stars who are making a difference. Don`t miss it. It`s really great. It`s called "Big Stars, Big Giving." It`s on CNN Christmas Eve, December 24th, and you can catch them again on Christmas Day.

ANDERSON: Heidi Montag`s mom is begging to reconcile with her daughter today. Heidi and her mom have been on the outs ever since mom dissed Heidi`s 10 plastic surgeries in one day. But in a brand new letter on radaronline.com, Heidi`s mom, Darlene Egelhoff, says it`s time to kiss and make-up.

She writes, "we were as close as any mother and daughter could be and we could be again after only one glimpse into each other`s eyes, just one hug, and we could pick up right where we left off. My love for you is permanent and forever and my deep feelings for you will never change. I love you more every day unconditionally. I am clearly desperate to be trying to reach out to you like this. I don`t know what else to do."

A.J., I hope they reconcile. Heidi, obviously, need a positive influence in her life. Somebody who will be honest with her, tell her like it is.

HAMMER: Yes. And it is the holidays, after all. So, best of luck to them on that. And Brooke, a lot of people have been calling in the showbiz on- call today all about Jessica Simpson and Angelina Jolie.

ANDERSON: A.J., Jessica Simpson has reported nearly billion dollar fashion empire. So, should she just give up music? James from Mississippi doesn`t think she should.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JAMES FROM MISSISSIPPI: I really don`t think Jessica should give up her music because she makes good music, and I believe that`s what got her to where she is.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Thank you, James.

HAMMER: We also heard from Barbara calling in showbiz on-call from Pennsylvania who loves the fact that Angelina Jolie says she won`t get any plastic surgery.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BARBARA FROM PENNSYLVANIA: I think wrinkles are wonderful, and I think that these women need to age gracefully, and I hope that Angelina Jolie sticks to her guns on that. That`s how I feel. I feel that age is beautiful in this country, and we have forgotten what it`s all about.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Thanks a lot, Barbara. We`d love for you to call showbiz on call. Let us know what you think about this or anything else you want to sound off on.

ANDERSON: The showbiz on-call phone lines are always open. Here`s the number, 1-888-SBT-BUZZ, 1-888-728-2899. Simply leave a voice mail. We will play some of your calls right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Lindsay loves Mariah? Check this out. There are actually shocking reports out today that Lindsay Lohan hit on Mariah Carey. This is so wild. We definitely have to get the Showbiz Truth Squad out there on this one. Does Li-Lo have visions of love for the lovely Mariah?

ANDERSON: What? And Gwyneth`s new gig. We just caught up with Gwyneth Paltrow who plays a country singer in "Country Strong." Gwyneth tells us if she wants to record an album. So, we`re asking today, should she? Also this --

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER (on-camera): Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.

ANDERSON: A.J., I`m really shocked. Did you see this? This happened on the University of Illinois campus. This YouTube video shows the bus heading right for the snowman. It`s cold.

HAMMER: Yes. It`s really cold, Brooke. And here`s what I`m thinking. Maybe ,the bus driver didn`t see the snowman, and maybe, I don`t know, maybe the DOT, you know, the Department of Transportation, should put snow cones around it, you know?

ANDERSON: Yes, maybe so. Or maybe he did see the snowman. But you know, Jim Moret and I were talking about this earlier. What if someone was hiding in the snowman, built that around someone. It could have been bad.

HAMMER: It is bad, though (ph).

ANDERSON: OK. Moving now to a stunning move by Michael Moore today. He`s putting up money to bail out WikiLeaks co-founder, Julian Assange. Moore, the guy behind "Fahrenheit 9/11" put up $20,000 towards bail of Assange who was being held in a British prison on Swedish sex crimes allegation.

In a letter released today, Moore writes, "I am publicly offering the assistance of my website, my servers, my domain names, and anything else I can do to keep WikiLeaks alive and thriving as it continues its work to expose the crimes that were concocted in secrets."

HAMMER: Well, lots of post on our Facebook Wall today all about Lindsay Lohan reportedly getting mad that we named her one of the most provocative celebrities of 2010. Here`s one. This is Lorenzo B. who writes, "Lindsay should pick and choose her words more wisely." SHOWBIZ TONIGHT would actually be a nice forum for her to clear the air." I couldn`t agree more,

Lindsay, we do have an open invite to come here any time you want. We`d love for you to connect with us. ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER (on-camera): Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.

ANDERSON (on-camera): And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today. Mad over Michael.

HAMMER: Yes, Brooke. Black Eyed Peas` singer, WillI.Am, is just disgusted. He`s livid. He is all around upset about Michael Jackson`s new posthumous album that dropped today. WillI.Am tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that even Michael called him last year totally upset that one of his songs, the song "Hold My Hand," had leaked. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WILLI.AM, SINGER: Those songs were here when he was alive. Why didn`t they come out then? I know he called me at one point in time, 2009, upset that a song leaked. That`s the reason why I feel the way I feel is because of that phone call I had with him when he was upset. That music came out that wasn`t ready.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Is WillI.Am right or should he back off and just let Michael`s fans enjoy this new album? Right now in New York, Midwin Charles is an attorney from Midwin Charles & Associates. Right now in Hollywood, Jim Moret is the chief correspondent for "Inside Edition." So, WillI.Am tells "Rolling Stone" magazine, Michael Jackson would absolutely hate the fact that his new album is being released without his exacting and rigorous approval.

Here`s what WillI.Am is saying. "I knew this man, and he was very critical about every single detail. He stood in the studio himself mastering and mixing everything. How can you release a record without that Michael Jackson? It`s not Michael Jackson." Look, I am happy we`re getting some new M.J. material myself, but I also totally get Will`s point, but some people say this music is for all of his fan, even if it`s not perfect. What do you think, Midwin?

MIDWIN CHARLES, ATTORNEY, MIDWIN CHARLES & ASSOCIATES: Well, I suppose I can see where Will is coming from. I mean, I think if anyone saw that movie "This Is It," the Michael Jackson movie. You could see that he is someone who is in control when it comes to his music.

HAMMER: Sure.

CHARLES: He knows every single beat, every single melody, and even the tempo. So, for him to say that Michael Jackson would be upset about this being released, I think he`s right.

HAMMER: So, the question is, is it really Michael Jackson music if Michael wasn`t involved in the final bit of the process? WillI.Am, in fact, says one of the songs on Michael`s new album, song "Hold My Hand" was the very song Michael didn`t want released last year. So, is Will right that the song is below Michael`s perfectionist standards? Listen to yourself.

(SINGING) You could do better if you just hold my hand.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: All right. Jim Moret, what do you think? Does will have a point? Is this all about what Michael would have wanted or should we think of this as more about giving the fans more of his music?

MORET: Well, I think it may be a third alternative. I think the business of Michael Ink is now selling records, and Michael Ink has been in the red for a long time. It`s now making money. So, the executors are doing what they have to do. They`re making Michael`s business grow.

HAMMER: Yes.

MORET: And I agree with WillI.Am artistically, but this is still a business.

HAMMER: Yes. So, that`s making money. And so that, I actually can see as a good thing, especially for Michael`s estate, for his family, for his kids. Here`s something I don`t get because there`s another controversial Michael Jackson story that`s making big news today. There`s absolute outrage today over a new Discovery Channel show about Michael Jackson`s autopsy. That`s right.

The show will actually air only in Britain, but it will reportedly recreate Michael Jackson`s gruesome autopsy. A big petition is flying around right now in trying to keep the show off the air. I think the idea is hideous. Midwin Charles, I know people are fascinated with all things, Michael Jackson, but do you agree with me this takes it not just a bit too far, way too far?

CHARLES: It takes it way too far. And I think people are also fascinated by this whole CSI concept of the autopsy. It`s something that is part of the everyday lexicon now, but I think that there ought to be some decency here. I mean, the man has passed away. Why can`t he pass away in dignity and let this go? Not everything needs to be seen.

HAMMER: Let me ask my fried, Jim Moret, do you think I`m overreacting here, Jim?

MORET: No, I don`t. I think that something should not be shown, especially in gruesome detail like you describe. I think you leave certain things alone. You can talk about the autopsy, but why do you have to recreate it and show it?

HAMMER: All right. Let`s move on. I`m feeling dirty right now. Brooke, one thing is for sure, Michael Jackson outrage is not going to blow over any time soon.

ANDERSON: And now, you`re right about that, A.J. and that`s not the only explosive story making a big buzz today. There`s a new singing show set to give "American Idol" a real run for its money. Lindsay Lohan disses "Dancing with the Stars" and Huge Jackman`s Oprah stunt leads to chaos.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON (voice-over): Hugh`s Oprah stunt gone wrong. Hugh Jackman had a scary moment during a high flying stunt on the Oprah Winfrey Show in Australia. Jackman was trying to make a dramatic entrance on a zip line when he wound up crashing into a row of lights. Oprah stopped the show so that he could be seen by paramedics. Jackson sustained an injury under his right eye but was able to continue with the taping of the show.

Lindsay`s dancing diss? Dina Lohan just revealed that her daughter, Lindsay, has just turned down "Dancing with the Stars." Dina tells radaronline.com, quote, "Lindsay is a great dancer, but she`s taking a break right now." She added Lindsay seriously considered joining the show but decided to keep her focus on her drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

"American Idol" face-off. A brand new singing show has just been revealed, and it could give "American Idol" a run for its money. The Hollywood Reporter says NBC is teaming up with reality show guru, Mark Burnett, to create a new singing competition called "Voice of America." The show will throw in a twist "Idol" hasn`t done by having the four celebrity judges listen to auditions with their backs to the contestants so that appearance doesn`t factor into their decision. The show is modeled after a top show in the Netherlands.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON (on-camera): All right. If you thought all of that was buzz worthy, get this, Gwyneth Paltrow breaking the news to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. She says she might just make an album of her very own. Her upcoming new film, "Country Strong," features her as a country music singing star. She does her own singing. And she tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that she would not rule out making her very own album. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: When is the Gwyneth Paltrow album, album coming out?

GWYNETH PALTROW, ACTRESS: I don`t know, I don`t know. We`ll see.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I expect your husband, Beyonce and Jay-Z on there, collaboration.

PALTROW That`s right, all three.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: OK. Midwin, I can see her becoming a singing star, and hey, one of her best friends is Madonna. She`s got connections. What do you think?

CHARLES: I mean, I guess. I mean, she`s married to front man of Coldplay, so she does have her hand in the music industry at least in that regard. And I`m not one to short circuit someone`s dreams and aspirations. I mean, I know she`s an actress and trying to move into the whole singing world. And so, I say let the audience, the listening public decide whether she`s good or not.

ANDERSON: Midwin said, I guess. Jim, she doesn`t sound convinced. I think Gwyneth has a good voice.

MORET: I think she`s really talented. I`ll admit I watched her on "Glee," and I thought she did a great job. I was impressed. I was shocked. I`m a Gwyneth fan as of her acting, and I think she`s really --

ANDERSON: Do you think she should maybe shelf acting for a while to focus on music?

MORET: No. Why? You can do both.

ANDERSON: Midwin, what do you think? Yes, she definitely has potential, and I think that she`s such a perfectionist. She would not pursue this if she did not know that she had talent.

CHARLES: Well, I don`t know. I mean, I`m not sure that she`s great at singing, and I`m not sure that she`s great at acting, but I think it`s always good for someone to try and do whatever it is that their heart desires.

ANDERSON: All right. Do whatever it is your heart desires. She`s harsh on this one. All right. Jim Moret, Midwin Charles, thank you both.

And now, I want to hear from you at home. Gwyneth Paltrow considering making an album, should she? Tell me, yes, she`s pretty good or no, she should stick to acting. Vote at CNN.com/showbiztonight. E-mail us, showbiztonight@CNN.com

HAMMER: Is it me? I don`t think it`s me. Looks like 2010 is turning into the year of love loss and heart ache.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER (voice-over): Everywhere you turn, so many breakup, ugly splits this year. I mean, think about it, Christina, Sandra, and all their husbands. Even Kelsey Grammer and his wife. Today, we are naming the top shocking splits of 2010.

ANDERSON (voice-over): Did Lindsay Lohan try to seduce Mariah Carey? Huh? Brand new reports that Lindsay actually tried to hit on Mariah. I`ve got to send the Showbiz Truth Squad to check this one out today.

Also this --

(CHEERING)

HAMMER: You have got to see this. Your first look at Oprah`s ultimate Australia adventure. What Oprah says moved her so much she did the ugly cry. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN, news and views.

HAMMER (on-camera): Time now for the Showbiz News Ticker, more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom, making news today.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Come on, let`s go.

CHER, SINGER: Hold it.

HAMMER (voice-over): Christina Aguilera just golden today. She`s thrilled that her movie "Burlesque" as well as the song she co-wrote for the film were both nominated for Golden Globe Awards this morning. Here`s what Christina tells us. "Making this movie was a life changing experience, and I couldn`t be more pleased that the foreign press has recognized the hard work that the cast and I put into it." The Golden Globe always a good time airs January 16th on NBC.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER (on-camera): We welcome you back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Brooke Anderson is in Hollywood. Our congratulations, of course, to Christina and the cast of "Burlesque" -- Brooke.

ANDERSON (on-camera): Absolutely, A.J. But unfortunately, this year hasn`t been all a celebration for Christina. Christina shocked us all when she announced her split from hubby, Jordan Bratmanm, but they were not the only star couple whose breakup really caught us by surprise. Today, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT names the most shocking star splits of 2010.

Right now in Hollywood is celebrity couple, Giuliana and Bill Rancic. Giuliana joins us from E! where she is an anchor and managing editor for E! News. Giuliana and Bill are hosting Nivea`s Kiss Platform in Time`s Square on New Year`s Eve. You can also watch them this Monday on the season finale of "Giuliana And Bill" on the Style Network. Great show. I love it. Thanks for being here, guys.

And our first shocking split of 2010 that I want to address is Sandra bullock and Jesse James. Remember, just days after Sandra won the Oscar for Best Actress, reports of Jesse`s infidelity surfaced. Jesse later admitted in an interview, I took a pretty amazing life and marriage and I threw it away. The SHOWBIZ TONIGHT stuff called this one of the most shocking star splits of the year.

But here`s the thing. They were considered an odd couple from the get-go. So, Giuliana, why do you think their breakup was so shocking?

GIULIANA RANCIC: You`re absolutely right, though, Brooke. I mean, I think from the beginning, everyone thought this is an odd pairing. But then you thought, you know what, maybe opposites attract, and it is going to work out. And especially when you saw them at the Oscars right before the huge news broke. You saw, you know, him looking at her lovingly on the red carpet, and she delivering that speech saying he was her rock. And they just seemed like this odd pair that really made it work.

And then suddenly, bam, it hit us like a ton of bricks that he was cheating on her and this whole scandal broke out. And you really had to file this one under what the heck was he thinking?

ANDERSON: Yes. What was he thinking?

GIULIANA RANCIC: He had this amazing girl.

ANDERSON: Yes. And she is America`s sweetheart. So, I think people were shocked and really angry at him for this. But a runner-up, you guys, I got to move to this for most shocking star split of 2010 is Eva Longoria and Tony Parker. I did not see this one coming. After three years of marriage, Eva was the first to file for divorce. Eva and Tony had a long distance relationship.

She`s got a busy Hollywood career. He`s an NBA star, spend a lot of time on the road. Bill, you and Giuliana somehow have managed to successfully jug along a long distance relationship while both being very busy, but can you see how that would test a couple like Eva and Tony?

BILL RANCIC, HOST, NIVEA`S KISS PLATFORM: Without a doubt. I mean, you know, this town is tough as it is, and both those people have busy schedules. And let`s face it, the NBA does not have the best record for having successful marriages, you know?

ANDERSON: No?

BILL RANCIC: These NBA players have a pretty tough task with the marriages. So, it`s tough, but you got to put effort in. And that`s the one thing Giuliana and I always do is, you know, we make an effort to see each other. We never go more than four or five days without seeing each other because the road can really wreak havoc on a marriage.

ANDERSON: Yes. You got to make each other a priority. OK. We got to move next to this next shocking star split, it`s Kelsey and Camille Grammer. They told it quits after 13 years of marriage. Now, I`m guessing it wasn`t part of the plan to have the end of their marriage documented in a way for the reality show, "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," but it was. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CAMILLE GRAMMER, STAR OF "THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS": I`m an individual, and I`m not just in the shadow of Kelsey Grammer. I am my own person. I`m really upset that my husband`s leaving to go to New York for a year. It`s going to be hard.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Fast forward a few months, Camille filing for divorce, Kelsey goes public with a new relationship. Giuliana, you and Bill have your own reality show. You`re doing fantastic, but do you think there is a down side for couples like Kelsey and Camille who put their relationships under the spotlight. I actually think they had other issues well before the reality show.

GIULIANA RANCIC: They certainly did. I mean, it`s kind of amazing to me they lasted that long. They lasted 13 years together. But, yes, absolutely, I think that reality show what is they do to a couple is they accelerate the process. So, I think that if you are going to eventually split up, being on a reality show can accelerate that process, and you split up sooner because you`re under this very harsh spotlight in Hollywood.

So, Bill and I, what we do, honestly, is at the end of shooting, we come together and we go OK, this is the real world, that was reality TV. You know, you have to kind of get into a real space and just be a normal couple.

ANDERSON: Yes, you do. And Bill, very, very quickly, you guys are a normal couple, but at the same time, you`re a celebrity couple. Tell me quickly about your New Year`s Eve effort. You`re going to be on the kiss platform for Nivea?

BILL RANCIC: We are. We are trying to bring couples together that wouldn`t ordinarily be together on New Year`s Eve. So, we`re calling for people to go to Nivea`s Facebook page and sign up, and we`re going to pick lucky couples, anywhere in the world. So, if the husband is in Iraq and the wife`s in Florida, we`re going to try to get them to meet in New York City, and we`re going to take care of everything.

ANDERSON: Oh, how nice. I love connections.

BILL RANCIC: Isn`t it great?

ANDERSON: I love it, I love it. Bill and Giuliana Rancic, thank you both. Good to see you. We do look forward to seeing you on that Nivea Kiss Platform in Times Square on New Year`s Eve, and also, on the season finale of "Giuliana and Bill," it`s this Monday on the Style Network.

HAMMER: Moving on now to Diddy`s big love. Sean Diddy Combs opening up today about his own love troubles with the three mothers of his six kids. On "The View" this morning, Diddy revealed his special relationship with them.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SEAN DIDDY COMBS, SINGER: My history and my story with the women that I`ve had children with, I`ve known them -- I met them all the same year, you know, it`s like a movie. I met them all around the same year, and we became friends, and then, different times in my life as my heart got broken by one, I cried on the shoulder of another.

(LAUGHTER)

COMBS: My heart got broken by another, I cried on the shoulder of another. I went back to another. Man, -- I mean --

JOY BEHAR, HOST: Sounds like the show "Big Love." Do you ever watch that show?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Diddy also said one of the reasons he`s not married yet is because he hasn`t been ready.

Well, does Lindsay Lohan has a big love for Mariah Carey? Get this.

(SINGING)

HAMMER (voice-over): Wow, did you see this? Mariah Carey teaming up with her opera singing mom. The two hit a high note together in their duet of "Oh Come All Ye Faithful" on Mariah`s ABC Christmas special.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: All right. Did Lindsay Lohan try to seduce Mariah Carey? There are shocking reports just out today that claim Lindsay had a thing for Mariah, and she actually tried to seduce her, but is this true? The Showbiz Truth Squad did some digging, and it turns out the two have met, but Mariah tells the advocate (ph) no one tried to seduce anyone. She says, quote, "I have hung out with her at a club. She was with Sean Lennon and they came over. We were just all singing, laughing and making up songs. It really couldn`t have been more innocent."

HAMMER (on-camera): Oh, I can tell you that Oprah definitely has a thing for Australia. Oprah Winfrey just wrapped up her two ultimate Australia adventure specials, and we have got your very first look today.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(CHEERING AND CLAPPING)

WINFREY: Hello! Hello! Whoo! Now, I understand why you call Australia "Oz" because we truly are at the end of the yellow brick road.

(CHEERING AND CLAPPING)

WINFREY: What an adventure we`ve had.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: You know what, Brooke, I`m thinking the Aussies think Oprah`s all right, right about now. Is there any doubt?

ANDERSON: Yes. No doubt about that, A.J. And Oprah definitely loves Australia. Oprah says her most memorable moment in Australia was during a celebration there. She looked up and what did she see? Her first initial, oh, was lit up in fireworks. She said she went into her ugly cry, A.J.

HAMMER: Yes. I think I`d go to my ugly cry if I saw my initials lit up in fireworks in Australia, too. Although, when you think about it, because A is so tough to do with fireworks.

ANDERSON: Could be tough. But, you know, we`ll see Oprah`s two-part Australian adventure when it airs in January. I can`t wait for that.

Hey, on Monday, we asked to you vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Exclusive Poll, and the startling results are just in. Miley Cyrus` bong video, does she need to apologize for it? 56 percent of you say yes, Miley still got a whole lot of young fans, but 44 percent of you say, no, Miley`s 18 now." There are some e-mails we received.

Colin from Arizona writes, "Why should Miley apologize? She is 18, and it is a legal herb. Just so she is on TV, it doesn`t meant she can`t be a serious teenager. But here`s what Ricky M. says, "she does owe her fans an apology, especially because she is being reckless with her image." Thanks for your e-mails.

HAMMER: And thank you for watching. That`s it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

ANDERSON: I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is live at 5:00 p.m. eastern, Monday through Friday.

HAMMER: And we`re still TV`s most provocative entertainment news show seven days a week at 11 p.m. eastern and pacific.
