TV`s most provocative entertainment news show starts right now!

(MUSIC)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Hello. I`m Jane Velez-Mitchell, in for A.J. Hammer. Brooke Anderson on assignment at the Sundance film festival with an explosive interview Oscar co-host, James Franco, coming up.

Breaking news breaking today - Oprah`s shocking secret, and it is shocking. Winfrey dropped a jaw-dropping bombshell today that nobody expected.

She has a half-sister she never even knew existed. Today, she shocked her audience by revealing this dramatic emotional and tangled family secret. Check it out.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PATRICIA, OPRAH WINFREY`S HALF SISTER: We realized that Oprah could be my sister.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Could this actually be true? Did this actually really happen?

WINFREY: Yes, it is true. It is true.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Wow. Oprah says it was the biggest surprise of her whole life. It`s raising some big questions today, of course. How in the world could this be kept secret for so long? Why is Oprah coming out with this now? And is this woman really legit?

Right now, in New York, K. Foxx, a radio host for New York`s Hot 97 morning show and in Hollywood, my buddy Carlos Diaz who is a syndicated radio show host.

OK, ladies and gent. Oprah revealed on her show today that she has a half- sister named Patricia and DNA tests to prove it. Oprah says her mom left Patricia at the hospital where she was born back in 1963.

Patricia then grew up in foster care and it wasn`t until just a few years ago she decided to find her birth mother. Little did she know she`d basically been born into America`s royalty.

Oprah says her mom denied the entire thing until Oprah finally confronted her. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WINFREY: I call my mother and literally confront my mother with this story, "Is this true? Is this true?" And she finally said, "Well, yes. I think it`s true."

And on Thanksgiving Day, Steadman and I drove up to my mother`s house in Milwaukee to meet my new sister and her family for the first time. Here`s that moment on family home video.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WINFREY: Hello. There she is. Oh -

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Oprah let the world into one of the most vulnerable and surprising experiences of her whole life. She has always been very private about her family life. So were you totally shocked she would put all of this out there like that?

CARLOS DIAZ, SYNDICATED RADIO HOST: Yes. When I first heard this - Jane, you know me, I`m cynical. I`m a cynical person. I`m like - OK.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: That`s true.

DIAZ: Here`s some - yes. Thank you. Here`s somebody trying to cash in on a big pay day, whatever. But you know what? When I watched this, her half-sister seems genuine. She, you know, she knew - she knew that she was Oprah`s half-sister for years, for two years before she came out and said anything.

She`s not trying to cash in. She looks like she`s just the most earnest person in the world, which is great. And you know what? Anyone who says great, "Oh, great. Now, she`s going to get millions of dollars."

Well, guess what? She was put in foster care until the age of seven, then was adopted and then had to go through a childhood that was not that great.

She doesn`t deserve millions. She deserves billions, all right? I hope she gets every great thing coming to her because she is an amazing woman.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: And Oprah on the verge of tears the entire time she`s talking about this. Oprah says she decided to share this story so people could hear it from her mouth first and not from the tabloids.

But we know that Oprah`s an expert at controlling information about her. However, K. Foxx, could this open up a huge can of worms for Oprah with literally hundreds of fortune-seekers now coming forward to claim they, too, are Oprah`s siblings?

K. FOXX, RADIO TALK SHOW HOST, HOT 97 MORNING SHOW: Well, I think that being that she did not say anything, it`s kind of on her side because it didn`t seem like she was out to get a whole bunch of money.

She kept it a secret. She did keep it in privacy, so therefore, we`re definitely on her side with this one. And this is the luckiest family in the world. I want Oprah to be my sister. What`s going on with that, man? I want to be Oprah`s sister.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, come on. We all want to know our mother from birth. We don`t want to go through this kind of experience. It`s hellish. Oprah says she first learned she had a half-sister last October.

The big question today, how in the world was Oprah and her entire family able to keep such a huge secret from the public? Well, it turns out it was a decision of her half-sister, Patricia to keep this quiet and protect her famous sis.

So let me tell you, the family secret blew Oprah away. Watch how Oprah explained all this on her show today.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WINFREY: What is so remarkable to me about this story - and it`s going to make me cry so just be patient. Since I have been a person known in the public, there have been few times that I`ve been anywhere and not been sold out.

There have been few times where you can bring anybody new into your life and not have that person in some way betray you or use you or take advantage of you.

What is so extraordinary about Patricia, she tried and tried and tried again to get responses from my mother and other people in the family. She never once thought to go to the press. She never once thought to sell this story.

When I heard this about you I said regardless if it`s true or not true, I had to meet you because I wanted to meet somebody who had that kind of character. So thank you. Thank you.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Look at the tears in Oprah`s eyes. I cannot imagine what that meant to Oprah. Think about it, even a sister that Oprah grew up with has sold out Oprah to tabloids in the past.

Carlos, it must have been an absolute feat for her newly-discovered half- sister, Patricia, to keep this a secret since 2007, especially considering she could have sold it and she was struggling to make ends meet.

DIAZ: OK, here comes the cynical part of me coming back out, OK?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I was waiting for that.

DIAZ: It`s a bigger pay day if you wait. Patricia`s smart, because you can you sell your story to the tabloids and then never get the big pay day which is you`re Oprah`s half-sister.

But you know what? That`s being cynical. The god-honest truth is, she did have good intentions. She didn`t want - you know, it was more important for her to have a relationship with Oprah on a - you know, on a spiritual level, on a family level.

You know, the money - it doesn`t sound like the money was important because, like you said, she needed money. And if she needed a quick buck, she would have gone to the tabloids. So it seems like her intentions were very good.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Yes. There are some really astonishing facts about this entire situation. First, Oprah has two sisters, both named Patricia. First, the sister she grew up with, who died a few years ago tragically and now, her surprise half-sister who is by total coincidence given the same name randomly while in foster care?

That`s an enormous coincidence. There`s another huge coincidence. Oprah revealed on her show today how her newly-discovered half-sister actually managed to get in touch with her mother, even though her mother refused to meet or acknowledge her. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WINFREY: They contacted my mother. My mother said, no, she didn`t - wasn`t interested. And she waited a year, contacted them again, was rejected the second time.

And as she`s rejected the second time, in that moment, there`s a story on the news about my mother and she is in front of the television and sees that story.

You always believe that God was going to show you who your mother was, even when you didn`t know that it was my mother, too.

PATRICIA: Yes.

WINFREY: Yes.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: This is amazing. I mean, those are some pretty unbelievable coincidences. You know, how crazy is this that Oprah, of all people, had this kind of outrageous experience happen to her in the last year of her 25-year show. K. Foxx, does this rank up there as one of the most memorable Oprah`s ever?

FOXX: Well, what a way to go out with a bang. Oprah knows how to do it. And I don`t believe in coincidences. I think everybody happens for a reason.

And I think her sister`s name being Patricia happened for a reason as well. So Oprah`s going out with a bang. I`m talking advice from her. She knows how to do it.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I am so happy for this family. And it really is - it`s something that brings tears to your eyes. K. Foxx and Carlos, thank you all so much.

OK. Moving on, brand-new controversy over MTV`s "Skins," the series that features, you know, teen, drug use and sex. Some parents are calling it child porn.

(MUSIC)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: More advertisers are pulling out today. Is the show in big trouble? And we are asking in our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - should "Skins" be pulled off the air?

Big, bad news for Jennifer Aniston today. She is nominated for, count them, two worst actress awards. So I want to know, does she deserve them?

And Elton John`s powerful revelations to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT about just becoming a gay parent.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ELTON JOHN, MUSICIAN: Well, he`s going to go to school and he`s going to probably, you know, say, "Oh, you don`t have a mommy. You have a daddy." But we`re going to have to tell him that`s going to happen.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Elton and his partner just had a fabulous baby boy via surrogate. It`s the headline-making interview you will only see here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Fitness pioneer Jack LaLanne dies at the age of 96. James Cameron says "Avatar 2" and "Avatar 3" will come out in 2014 and 2015.

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: Out there, beyond that fence, every living thing that crawls, flies or squats in the mud wants to kill you and eat your eyes for jujubes.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

BROOKE ANDERSON, CO-HOST: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson at the Treasure Mountain Inn in Park City, Utah for the Sundance Film Festival.

Actor and upcoming Oscar host, James Franco, is here at Sundance, not exactly with a movie to promote, but with an unexpected project called "Three`s Company, The Drama." It`s a creative take on the `70s sitcom.

I spoke with James about the installation, about his upcoming Oscar hosting duties and about how he`s channeling his inner Chrissy from "Three`s Company" here at Sundance.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(on camera) You`ve been around town in a couple wigs.

JAMES FRANCO, ACTOR: Have you seen photos or something?

ANDERSON: I have seen photos.

FRANCO: Really?

ANDERSON: You look great as a blond.

FRANCO: Well, that was a blond wig that is related to the project that I have here, which is based on the sitcom, "Three`s Company."

So that was a Chrissy wig, if you know the character Chrissy played by Suzanne Somers?

ANDERSON: Carry it off very well. And talk to me about the installation.

FRANCO: What we did is we projected the first six episodes of the series on to a huge screen at NYU and then took four video cameras and shot it documentary-style, each camera following a different character.

So then, we projected those on all four walls. So when you walk in, you`re not just watching the show, you`re in the middle of the show. It`s my voice and other people`s voices reading the dialogue with different kinds of inflexion to make it a little bit more dramatic, to give a different spin on it.

ANDERSON: Let`s talk about "127 Hours." Fantastic movie. Fantastic performance.

FRANCO: I`m really proud of the performance. I really am. And I don`t say that about a lot of everything. And to be able to work with Danny Boyle on something that I feel is - I think it`s truly the most innovative commercial movie that came out this year.

ANDERSON: OK. So you`re preparing to host the Oscars. What can we expect? What are you going to do - sing, dance, the whole nine yards? Can you tell us a little bit?

FRANCO: I will do exactly that. I will sing and dance.

ANDERSON: I read an interview that you did. And you said that your entire team of advisors, publicists, managers, everybody said, "No, don`t take this offer. Don`t do it."

FRANCO: They`re supportive of what I do. But the truth be told, they did say, "James, come on. Does it have to be this year?"

ANDERSON: What were they worried about?

FRANCO: They want me to win the Oscar. That`s what they want. I - you know, people like a British drama. They`d like a royalty family drama. So Colin is going to win, so I thought, that`s fine, I`ll host and I`ll just show like - it will be a way to tell myself, too, like just don`t worry about it.

ANDERSON: What else do you have planned this weekend at Sundance? Any more parties with the Chrissy wig on?

FRANCO: No matter parties. Who knows? I might whip out the wig. I liked it. I got a lot of compliments.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: And if you`re wondering how James has time to do all of this, he told me that he only gets about five hours of sleep a night.

Also, I spoke with actress Demi Moore. She has two movies here at the Sundance Film Festival. My exclusive one-on-one interview with actress, Demi Moore, tomorrow here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Jane.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Thanks, Brooke. Looking great out there. We`ve been getting lots of E-mails today about MTV`s controversial new series, "Skins," which features, of course, teen sex and drug use.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I`ve got to go. Is she breathing?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I usually take her to the hospital. They got a detox.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: How are we going to get there? Geez, somebody, how are we going to get there?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL Vincent writes, "Everyone needs to chill out and realize everything being portrayed actually happens in real life - drug, sex, partying. It`s high school."

The "Showbiz on Call" phone lines are ringing today and ringing off the hook. Sandra from Ohio thinks the show sends the wrong message. You think?

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

SANDRA, CALLER FROM OHIO: I think it`s terrible. I think it`s atrocious. I think that we have gone too far in this country. Our children have enough to look at and enough to deal with, and I think they should pull it.

I think all the sponsors should drop, just like Taco Bell did. I think it`s terrible.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Way to go. Thank you, Sandra. And call us at "Showbiz on Call" and let us know what you think about this or anything else that is on your mind.

The "Showbiz on Call" phone lines are always open for you. The number - 1- 888-SBT-BUZZ. That`s 1-888-728-2899. So all you have to do is leave us a voicemail and we`re going to play some of your calls right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Now, there is big new controversy over "Skins" today. More and more huge advertisers are bailing on the show. Should MTV just pull the plug and cancel it? That is coming up.

And more shocking TV drama today. There was a nasty, and I mean nasty, nasty brawl on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" finale between sisters Kim and Kyle.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You`d better (EXPLETIVE DELETED) take that back right now. You`d better.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Stop, stop, it right now. You are a liar and alcoholic, OK?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Ladies, ladies, ladies, chill out, please! So the question, can these two kiss and make up?

Kim Kardashian reaches a new feat today. Plus, is Kim dropping hints about having a baby? You know, there`s been all kinds of Kardashian pregnancy reports.

And Jessica`s bizarre tush tweet. That`s right Jessica Simpson tweets about her fiance`s buttocks. But could this backfire? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Aaron Carter enters rehab for "emotional issues." Lil Wayne announces first tour since prison, will kick off in March.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JUSTIN BIEBER, POP STAR: Mom, I need to get a helicopter. No. A little low-flying helicopter. It`s really little.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Love those choppers. Justin Bieber is a huge star, but he still needs to ask mommy for permission to buy a toy. This video of now 17-year-old Bieb, which TMZ just revealed, shows him at an airport about a year ago asking his mommy if he can buy a toy helicopter.

Hey, no matter how popular Biebster is or how much money he has, he is still a kid.

OK. So there was a shocking all-out brawl on the season finale of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." Sisters Kim and Kyle went at it in the back of a limo. Check it out.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: After everything that I have done for you - everything that I`ve done for you, always there for you.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Everything you`ve done for me?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes. Yes, everything I`ve done for you.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You sold my goddamn house.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You are liar and sick and alcoholic, OK? You are an alcoholic.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Oh, my god.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: That`s right. I`ve said it now, everybody knows. Kim, I want to you know something right now. Anything I`ve ever helped you with is over. You`re on your own now.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Can you say "drama queen"? Ladies, ladies, please, stop it. Well, today I`m happy to report Kyle is apologizing, sort of.

On her blog, she says, "The events that transpired that evening were quite unfortunate and never should have occurred on or off camera. We both said and did things that we regret.

"My sister and I love each other very much. Sometimes I wish I loved her a little less. We want to move forward and put this behind us."

Now, I don`t know if that if how they felt, but anyway, Kim actually collected into rehab right after their fight. But did these two really make up? Watch "Real Housewives" reunion, Thursday, to find out.

Lots of posts on our Facebook wall. Today, we asked you, what`s your message to Sandra Bullock`s ex Jesse James? He`s getting married to Kat Von D. Good riddance or good luck?

Maria C. wishes Jesse the best, "Good luck, why hate? Everybody seems to hate on Kat Von D. She has the right to be happy as much as everyone else."

But Jancy M. is definitely not on team Jesse, "Good riddance. He never deserved a wonderful woman like Sandra Bullock."

And now the SHOWBIZ lineup - here`s what`s coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(MUSIC)

Brand-new controversy today over "Skins," MTV`s series showing teen sex and drug use. More advertisers bailing. Will MTV pull the plug?

Jennifer Aniston`s bad news nominations. Aniston nominated for two worst actress awards. Our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - does Jen deserve them?

Elton John`s powerful revelations today about being a gay parent

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOHN: Well, he`s going to go to school and he`s going to probably, you know, say, "Oh, you don`t have a mommy. You have a daddy." We`re going to have to tell him it`s going to happen.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: It`s a headline-making interview you will see only on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Plus, breaking today from "SHOWBIZ News Ticker," Lady Gaga is number one again. And your SHOWBIZ first look - Britney Spears in her new music video.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m Jane Velez-Mitchell, in for A.J. Hammer. Brooke Anderson on assignment at the Sundance Film Festival and will be back with us in just a few minutes.

And there is big - I mean big news breaking today. Too much skin. There`s more explosive controversy today about the new MTV show, "Skins," which shows teenagers doing drugs and having sex.

And now, I`m wondering, how long can this show survive? Because today, even more advertisers are bailing on "Skins." SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has just confirmed that Wrigley`s, H & R Block, General Motors and Taco Bell are either pulling their ads or steering clear of the show.

And I can tell you, well, what we are about to show you is not going to help, I don`t think. It`s a just-released promo for an upcoming episode featuring an underage girl having a same-sex fantasy. Watch this.

(MUSIC)

So with all the previous controversy and now this, here is our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint today - should MTV pull the plug on "Skins"?

Let`s bring in my buddy, syndicated radio host, Carlos Diaz in Hollywood. Carlos, does the show have to go?

DIAZ: No, no it doesn`t! Jane -

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Because you like it.

DIAZ: yes. But this just in - MTV does provocative programming. They`ve been doing this since we were kids, Jane. Come on.

That scene you just showed, we saw that in a Madonna video like, what, 15 years ago? Listen, give me "Skins" every day of the week, more so than "Jersey Shore" or "Teen Mom."

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I`m sure you`d love it.

DIAZ: Well, here`s the thing. It`s not the same as "Jersey Shore" and "Teen Mom" because it`s not reality TV. This is not real. This is a drama.

In fact, it`s a rip-off of an English show. It`s not real. So you know what? I`ve got a bigger problem with "Jersey Shore." I`ve got a big problem with "Teen Mom," because it`s almost like, you know, they`re showing reality where this is a drama.

And kids need that outlet. Parents, you don`t want your kids to watch this? Then don`t order MTV. This is not - you can block MTV from your cable.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: That`s a good point.

DIAZ: Exactly.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Yes.

DIAZ: That`s my point. It`s like - if you doesn`t want your kids watching this, don`t have MTV on your home TV or block it from your home TV.

You`re not going to miss anything because, obviously, you don`t like MTV. This is what MTV has been doing for years.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: All right. You make a good argument. Late today, brand- new reports say that the Subway sandwich chain and Schick Company also plan to pull their ads from "Skins."

And let`s not forget, the Parents Television Council is calling for the investigation into whether this show should be considered child porn.

Let`s bring in K. Foxx, who is the host of New York`s Hot 97 morning radio. K. Foxx, to the SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - do you think MTV should pull the plug on "Skins"?

FOXX: I don`t think that it should pull the plug, but what it does do is open a lot of open format for children and their parents to have this conversation because kids are having sex. They are doing drugs. They are partying.

Nothing`s changed since I was growing up, so I think this definitely forces to you have that conversation with your child. And parents, if you don`t want your kids to watch it, don`t order MTV, just like he said.

I wouldn`t want my nephew watching it. He`s 14 years old. I wouldn`t watch it with him.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: All right. I hear a lot of people saying that it`s up to moms and dads to make sure their young ones don`t watch the show.

I can tell you the "Showbiz on Call" phone lines have been burning up over that very issue including this call from Kenshiea in Missouri. She says this should be a wake-up call.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

KENSHIEA, CALLER FROM MISSOURI: I`m a parent of four young children. At the end of the day, I can`t control what goes on when they walk outside. That`s just a wake-up call to parents to let us know what is really going on with our teenagers.

And as parents, we pretty much have to suck it up and just adapt to what`s going on with our kids these days. So that`s how I feel about "Skins."

(END AUDIO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: All right, thank you, Kenshiea. A great debate there. I`ve got to move on to more big news breaking today at the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom.

Oh, boy there is plenty of it, people. There`s Jessica Simpson`s tweet talk about her fiance`s tush, I kid you not.

And sorry, ladies, George Clooney is canning the idea of ever getting married again.

And Jennifer Aniston just got one big acting diss. Sorry, Jen. It`s all making big news today in "The Buzz."

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

ANNOUNCER (voice-over): Jennifer Aniston, an awful actress? The annual Razzie nominations have been released and Aniston`s picked up, not one, but two worst actress nomination, one for "The Bounty Hunter" and the other for "The Switch."

JENNIFER ANISTON, ACTRESS: I would like you to be the first to know I`m having a baby.

ANNOUNCER: Aniston`s competition includes Miley Cyrus for "The Last Song," and Kristin Stewart for "Twilight: Eclipse." Stewart`s "Twilight" co-star, Robert Pattinson, was nominated for worst actor.

No marriage for Clooney. George Clooney has just said he`ll never get married again, which makes you wonder how his longtime girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis, feels about that. Clooney reveals on CNN`s "PIERS MORGAN`S TONIGHT" he`s just not mad about matrimony.

PIERS MORGAN, HOST, "PIERS MORGAN TONIGHT": Will you ever remarry, George?

GEORGE CLOONEY, ACTOR: There we go.

MORGAN: I`m allowed to ask that.

CLOONEY: You wait until the last segment to pull it off. I hate to blow your whole news story, but I was married so I gave it a shot.

ANNOUNCER: Jessica Simpson`s tush tweet. She just tweeted about her fierce devotion to her fiance`s rear assets. Take a look at what she tweeted about Eric Johnson, "Saying my prayers before bedtime. Thank you, Lord, for blessing me with a man that has the perfect tush, laying my hands upon it with peace."

Thankfully, Simpson`s tweet does not include a picture.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Yes, thank goodness. Thank goodness. Jessica did not tweet a photo of her fiance`s tush. And you have to remember this isn`t the first time Jessica has, well, shall we say, over-shared.

Remember this? Jessica`s kiss with Eric and tweeting the word "yum." I realize that she`s ecstatic about her engagement.

But Carlos, really, given how many times Jessica`s public romances have fallen apart, is she setting herself up for possible humiliation? Or should we be saying, "Hey, you go, girl. Go for that tush"?

DIAZ: First of all, I do feel robbed that there wasn`t a picture involved in that tweet. But no, you`re right. I mean, you know what? It`s TMI, I mean, because when this - or I should say, if this relationship breaks up, yes, we`re going to go, "Oh, how about that tush now?"

And in fact - by the way, she`s a repeat offender with this because she tweeted about Tony Romo`s tush saying she liked his tush in that Dallas Cowboys outfit. She called it an outfit. It`s actually a uniform. But you know, that`s the thing. She`s done it before, so it`s just TMI for me.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Yes. She`s got a tush obsession. Now, I`ve got to move on to Jennifer Aniston, who was nominated for two worst actress Razzies. They were both for her movies last year, one for "The Bounty Hunter "and the other for "The Switch."

And that leads us to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - does she deserve them? I`m going to throw this to K. Foxx.

FOXX: Well, you know what? If you`re going to be bad, be the best at being bad. So Jennifer Aniston, congratulations, girl. Congratulations. You`re the best at it!

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Why not? Well, you know, I know Carlos is grinning like a fox who`s got to have a theory on this one. Come on. Are we just attacking her? She`s a punching bag, let`s face it.

DIAZ: Does she deserve it? Does she deserve the Razzies? I`m going to say this - I`m sorry, Jennifer. Yes, do you. I`ll tell you why. You keep doing the same role over and over again.

Please, Jennifer. I love you. I think you`re very talented. Everyone who works with thinks you`re easy to work. But you know what? Maybe a different role.

Stop playing the same role over and over and over again and maybe you wouldn`t get that Razzie. That`s what I`m hoping for.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I agree with you. I think she`s got to move on, take some dangerous material on, Jennifer.

DIAZ: Yes. Yes.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: K. Foxx, Carlos Diaz, love you both. All right. Elton John`s powerful revelations to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT about becoming a gay parent.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOHN: Well, he`s got to go to school and he`s going to probably say, "Oh, you don`t have a mommy. You have a daddy." But we`re going to have to tell him that`s going to happen.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Jane Velez-Mitchell, in for A.J. Hammer. Brooke Anderson is on assignment at the Sundance Film Festival.

Right now, Elton John`s fatherhood pride and pain. The 62-year-old Elton and his long-time partner just had a baby boy with a surrogate mom.

We got our first look at baby Zachary on the cover of "Us Weekly." And today, Elton is revealing new details about being a dad in a SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview.

Elton is promoting his new movie "Nomeo and Juliet." Yes, "Nomeo and Juliet." And he really opened up to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter about all of the remarkable experiences he`s looking forward to sharing with his son.

But there`s one thing Elton tells Kareen he never wants his son to experience, the pain of being bullied because his parents are gay.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

KAREEN WYNTER, CNN ENTERTAINMENT CORRESPONDENT (on camera): Society has really come a long way in terms of same-sex couples.

JOHN: Right.

WYNTER: Raising children were not nearly we should be right now. And when you think of those stories out there where kids are being bullied or mocked because, you know, they come from same-sex families, what`s your biggest concern? What`s the thing that weighs most heavily on your mind when it comes to raising little Zachary?

JOHN: Well, he`s going to go to school and he`s going to probably, you know, say, "Oh, you don`t have a mommy. You have a daddy."

But we`re going to have to tell him that`s going to happen. That`s what I want the world to change. You know, kids only say what their parents say. The kids aren`t making those decisions. They`re parroting what their parents are telling them.

And so as parents, we have a duty to try and change the way we tell our children we have to be more compassionate. We have to be more understanding of different people in this world, of different color, of different religions.

You know, this is a time - I grew up, you know, in the `60s were a great time of love and all that. This is worse now than it was then. We need to have so much compassion. I`ve never seen so much anger and divisiveness.

And we need to get a grip of it. Like the president said, this is a time for reflection. This is a time to say, "I respect you. I understand. I don`t agree, but I understand. Let`s talk. Let`s go out for a drink. Let`s talk about this." Not hurl stones at each other.

That is not the way humanity should progress. Everything is done with dialogue. And dialogue - people can get on if they`re Republicans, Democrats, Islamic or Catholic or whatever.

They just need dialogue and understanding and not for us as parents to tell them as children you shouldn`t like them because they`re a certain color, a certain religion or a certain sexual persuasion. We have, as parents, that responsibility.

WYNTER: There are so many joys and challenges that come with parenthood. What would you say, Sir Elton, has surprised you the most about becoming a new dad?

JOHN: How relaxed I am. I thought I would be frantic. You know, we`d worry about when he`s got wind and he`s crying. It`s just - you know, I got to understand that`s what babies do, crying.

You put him over your shoulder. You carry him in front of you. You try to get rid of the wind. You change him. You feed him. You read him a bed time story. You burp him.

It`s all so wonderful. You don`t have to worry about him running around and falling over and grazing his knee at the moment. So he`s kind of - it`s just the most beautiful time with him because he`s just a little innocent, blank canvas.

And it`s really relaxed me, and I didn`t think it would relax me. It`s completely chilled me out and it`s been enchanting.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Elton will be enchanting us all with the amazing new movie "Nomeo and Juliet," an animated spin on the Shakespeare classic. Elton is the executive producer and sings a duet on the soundtrack with Lady Gaga. "Nomeo and Juliet" opens February 11th.

And now, a SHOWBIZ special report, the road to gold. You would you think winning a Golden Globe would virtually guarantee an Oscar. Not the case.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s been doing some serious digging looking at this year`s winners and winners of the past. You won`t believe what we found out. Here is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Brooke Anderson.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

BROOKE ANDERSON (voice-over): When it comes to the golden globe awards there seems to be a prevailing thought in Hollywood.

There is a link between big wins at the Globes and the Oscars. Just ask Anthony Hopkins. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT did.

ANTHONY HOPKINS, ACTOR: I think people are regarded with respect when they`re a little old because they are the gateway to the Oscars, so they say.

ANDERSON: But not the case for Hopkins himself.

HOPKINS: What did you see, Clarice? What did you see?

ANDERSON: In his 1992 movie, "Silence of the Lambs," he got snubbed at the Globes. But at the Oscars, it won best picture and Hopkins was named best actor.

TOM O`NEIL, "THEGOLDDERBY.COM": It`s one of those years they disagreed.

ANDERSON: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you the Globes and Oscars disagree a lot. Tom O`Neil from "TheGoldDerby.com" has been covering the awards scene for more than two decades.

O`NEIL: Four out of the past five years, the Oscars and the Globes have agreed on best actor and actress. But they disagreed on best picture four out of five times.

ANDERSON: Last year, at the Globes, "Avatar" won for best picture drama and "The Hangover" won for best picture comedy or musical. But at the Oscars, the best picture award went to "The Hurt Locker."

And just like "The Hurt Locker," "No Country for Old Men" won the best picture Oscar in 2008 while the best picture awards at the Globe went to "Atonement" for drama and "Sweeny Todd" for comedy or musical.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you the same thing happened in 2005 and 2007. But perhaps the biggest departure in recent years came in 2006 when the Globes named "Walk the Line" best comedy or musical and best drama went to "Brokeback Mountain." But at the Oscars -

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I knew it was going to happen.

ANDERSON: It was "Crash" that was named best picture, a movie not even nominated at the Golden Globes.

(on camera) The past six years, though, only "Slumdog Millionaire" has gone from best drama picture here to best picture at the Oscars. What does that say?

PHILIP BERK, PRESIDENT, HOLLYWOOD PRESS ASSOCIATION: Maybe our pick is better than what the Oscars picked.

ANDERSON (voice-over): Philip Berk is the president of Hollywood Foreign Press Association which hands out the Globes, a group with less than 100 members. By comparison, the Academy of Motion Pictures, which hands out the Oscars, has nearly 6,000 members.

O`NEIL: Out of 5,800 of the Academy, 1,300 are actors, 300 are directors. It breaks down by peer group memberships.

BERK: On the other hand, you know, we are a group of very enthusiastic journalists. Many of us have, you know, sensibilities that might be different to the mainstream of Hollywood.

ANDERSON: Different indeed.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: And that was SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Brooke Anderson at Sundance. The 83rd annual Academy Awards will be held on February 27th at the Kodak Theater.

Moving on now to Kim Kardashian`s big confession. Kim K. just dropped some serious hints about having a baby. And I can tell you Kim just accomplished a major feat, too. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson at the Treasure Mountain Inn in Park City, Utah for the Sundance Film Festival.

There is an invasion of young Hollywood actors taking the festival by storm. One of those fresh talents being raved about here is actress Elizabeth Olsen. She`s the younger sister of the famous Olsen twins, Mary- Kate and Ashley.

I spoke with Elizabeth about her two movies here at the festival, "Silent House" and "Marcy Martha May Marlene." And I also asked her about the advice she`s gotten from her sisters about acting, about her career and about navigating the festival and fame.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ELIZABETH OLSEN, ACTRESS: The reason why I didn`t go straight into making films is because media kind of frightened me, because I think fame is a little bit of an odd thing.

So I kind of gravitated toward theater because of that. But I mean, it`s just supporting each other and keeping grounded, I guess.

ANDERSON: Are you 21 years old?

E. OLSEN: Yes.

ANDERSON: Twenty-one years old, so young, fresh new face in Hollywood. But to be here and being - you`re being raved about at the festival. And everyone`s excited to see you and see your films. How excited is that for you? Because this is a tremendous opportunity.

E. OLSEN: Yes, it`s really cool, because you make independent films and you just hope that festivals get them. And then, you hope distributors get them. And so you did see - I mean, right now, it`s just kind of a really amazing path that you hope is happening. And that`s what`s happening for the films.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Elizabeth is very impressive and she`s actually considered the breakout star here at the Sundance Film Festival.

I also spoke with actress, Demi Moore, about her two films here at Sundance. My exclusive one-on-one sit-down with actress Demi Moore tomorrow here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Jane.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Thanks, Brooke. Also making news today - Kim Kardashian`s brand-new kid confession. No, Kim K is not pregnant, but she knows what she wants her kid to look like when and if she has one.

Take a look. Kim tweeted this picture of New York Jersey Nets star, Kris Humphries, when he was a kid. Then Kim wrote, "I want my son to look like this!" A lot of people say this is yet another clue to the big question - are Kim and Kris dating?

More Kim K news today. Kim now has six million followers on Twitter. Way to go, Kim.

Now, on Friday, we asked to you vote in our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll. I just got the final results. We asked Sandra Bullock`s ex, Jesse James, getting remarried. Eighty-three percent of you say, good riddance. Seventeen percent of you said, good luck.

Now, check out these e-mails. Susan from South Carolina has this message for Jesse`s fiancee, Kat Von D, "You know who he is and what he`s capable of. You will only have yourself to blame when he cheats on you."

And Kat from Texas thinks Kat Von D can do better than no-good cheating Jesse James, "She has seen what he did to Sandra. Why would she want to be with someone like that? I just don`t understand." Guess what? Neither do I.

That is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Jane Velez-Mitchell. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is live at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Monday through Friday. And do not forget SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, still TV`s most provocative entertainment news show seven days a week at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific.
