(MUSIC)

Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City with big Miley Cyrus breaking today - oh, daddy, no! Has Miley Cyrus just given her father a backhanded slap for what he said about her road to fame and what has happened since?

Well, that was the explosive question after Miley`s headline-making speech in Los Angeles over the weekend where she got an award for being an inspiration.

Well, Miley might have never gotten that award if she had not become a global phenomenon, something her father says he now regrets. In a just- revealed interview, Billy Ray says he should have never let Miley become so Hannah Montana famous, saying it destroyed their family.

Well, now, for the very first time, something Miley is responding with her own daddy dig. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter is with us right now in Hollywood. Kareen, what happened?

KAREEN WYNTER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT CORRESPONDENT: A.J., it`s the question everyone is asking today. Did Miley Cyrus just take a sly and very public shot at her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, because of what he said in that brand-new interview with "GQ" magazine? Inquiring minds want to know.

Billy Ray has now split with his wife, Miley`s mom. And of course, Miley has been getting attention lately for all the wrong reasons, including that now infamous video of Miley smoking from a bong.

Billy Ray is now saying he regrets Miley`s rise to fame. Take a look at what he told "GQ" magazine, "I`d take it back in a second for my family to be here and just be everybody OK, safe and sound and happy and normal."

Well, over the weekend, Miley accepted a so-called inspiration award at a Global Action Youth leadership event and it was handed to her by Hillary Duff, another former Disney child star.

And some think Miley`s acceptance speech, well, may have included a dig at her dad. You`ve got to watch what she said.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MILEY CYRUS, SINGER AND ACTRESS: So I`ve got to go on stage and live my dream and sing and perform and still be making a difference. And that`s what I want kids to do.

I want to do something that they love, not something that seems like a chore because someone tells them that`s the right thing to do or what they`re parents want or what`s important to people around them, but what`s on their heart.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

WYNTER: Pretty interesting there. Now, after hearing what Miley just said there, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has got to ask this - was Miley suggesting there she was just doing what her parents wanted, that she was just following their dreams and maybe, just maybe, Billy Ray was using her to revive his own achy-breaky fading career at the time Hannah Montana launched?

Tough questions, A.J., surrounding a very difficult time for Miley and her family. Back to you.

HAMMER: All right. Thanks, Kareen. So is Miley striking back at her dad? With me in New York, right now, Cathy Areu who is the publisher of "Catalina" magazine. And Kim Serafin is in Hollywood. Kim is the senior editor for "In Touch Weekly."

This was the first time that we`ve heard from Miley publicly since Billy Ray`s bombshell of an interview with "GQ." Cathy, did it sound to you like she was, in fact, taking a dig at her dad -

CATHY AREU, PUBLISHER, "CATALINA" MAGAZINE: Yes. Yes.

HAMMER: And maybe suggesting that he did push her into showbiz? You`re going to say yes.

AREU: Yes, yes. Absolutely. He took a dig so it`s natural for a teenager to dig right back. She said, "Look, don`t get me wrong. I appreciate the success that I`ve had." This is kind of what she said in the speech.

"However, this is someone else`s dreams. This is what someone else wanted. And I hope you all get to not have to have a chore and someone else`s dreams put upon you like I was forced to do that."

HAMMER: I hear "chore" and I`m thinking, oh, you`ve got to go work in a cubicle somewhere.

AREU: Chore -

HAMMER: Kim, do you think it was a slam on her dad?

KIM SERAFIN, SENIOR EDITOR, "IN TOUCH WEEKLY": No, I totally disagree. I think she loves to perform. Even in that speech, she said, "I get to go on stage. I get to live my dream. I want all of you out there to do that."

I`ve never, ever gotten anything from Miley that she doesn`t love to be on stage. I even remember interviewing her years and years and years ago, before she was big, when she was just starting, when she would go on press lines and they`d have to say, "Oh, here`s this girl. Her name is Miley Cyrus. She`s going to be in this new show called `Hannah Montana.`"

And she loved even being on those press lines. I really don`t think that she was taking a slam at her dad in any way in that speech.

No, having said that, is she upset that her dad said all these things publicly? The reports are saying yes, and I`m sure she didn`t want him to bring all of this out there. But I don`t think this dig was at him, and I think she loves to perform.

HAMMER: Yes. Maybe if there is a rift out there, maybe if there is a huge problem going on between the two of them, they`re keeping it more behind closed doors. I`m not exactly sure. Nobody is confirming that.

But there is some late-breaking news today that is fueling the talk of a possible Miley-Billy Ray feud. Billy Ray was supposed to appear on a much- hyped appearance on "The View" this Wednesday.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT found out today that he`s cancelled. He just cancelled this thing and no reason was given. But you`ve got to wonder if fallout from the "GQ" interview had something to do with it.

And that leads to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - do you think Billy Ray Cyrus regrets his "GQ" interview? Cathy Areu?

AREU: Absolutely. He took a dig at his daughter in this great big interview everyone read. And now, she`s digging back. I think he`s created almost a Lohan situation. They`re using the media to take digs and jabs at each other. I think he regrets it.

HAMMER: You think he regrets it -

AREU: Yes.

HAMMER: Because, quite frankly, I imagine, knowing Billy Ray, if it has caused a rift with his daughter, he probably thinks, well, on the grand scheme of things, maybe it wasn`t the best thing although he clearly had to get the stuff off his chest.

Now, Billy Ray does have a new album coming out on March 1st. Obviously, going on "The View" - hey, great place to go on and promote the album. Hard to think he`d back out without a good reason.

Kim, let me ask you, to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, do you think Billy Ray now regrets what he told "GQ"?

SERAFIN: Well, yes. I mean, if he goes on "The View," how much do you think they`re going to talk about his album and how much are they going to ask him about Miley Cyrus and the comments he made?

So it was probably a smart move to do that because he didn`t want to keep bringing this up and keep talking about the family and keep bringing all of these things out in the open.

So probably a smart thing and it sounds like he may have regretted that. And he said it may be in just a moment of emotion and wants to keep this now behind closed doors.

HAMMER: Yes. Talk about a hot topic. That would have ruled that conversation with the ladies of "The View."

But right now, I do want to move on to more breaking news today about another celebrity parent. It is Dina Lohan`s backlash.

Lindsay Lohan`s mom is being called a hypocrite today for her "Good Morning America" interview last week. Now, in that interview, Dina seemed to blame Lindsay Lohan`s recent troubles on that old convenient scapegoat - the media. Listen to what she said.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DINA LOHAN, MOTHER OF LINDSAY LOHAN: The media makes it a lot - you know, a lot worse than it really is.

GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS, ANCHOR, "GOOD MORNING AMERICA": How so?

D. LOHAN: So we stick to the facts.

STEPHANOPOULOS: What has the media gotten wrong?

D. LOHAN: I mean, the media`s got nothing wrong. It`s just, it`s what you do.

STEPHANOPOULOS: But what have we gotten wrong about the story? That`s what I`m asking.

D. LOHAN: I mean, I obviously can`t talk about the case. I`m going to be a little bit guarded there. But it`s just - you know, they make it - it`s so sensationalized.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Is it?

D. LOHAN: Nobody talks about the positive. Everybody just wants to, like, knock you down, you know.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Now, on Friday, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT was the first to point out how Dina did not seem to get it, that she was in denial. And now, "The New York Post" has followed our lead with this headline "Hypocrite Dina blasts media while cashing in."

Now, listen to this - "The Post" jumped on ABC`s admission it paid Dina a licensing fee for photos it used in her interview. So Dina Lohan essentially was paid by the media to complain about the media. It seems to me, Cathy, that she`s being very hypocritical here.

AREU: She is being hypocritical. How would she make a living? How would she communicate with her daughter if it wasn`t for the media? It`s the only way they talk to each other, I think. The Lohans need the media to find out what the other one is saying about the other one.

HAMMER: Just stop talking. Kim, what do you think? I mean, that`s just sheer hypocrisy, is it not?

SERAFIN: Yes. But I mean, we`ve heard this from Dina for a long time. Every time she does an interview, she blames the media. In some ways, the media does focus on Lindsay a lot.

But you know what? At this point, Lindsay should know and Dina should know what Lindsay wears to court is going to be front page news, so use it your advantage. You know, Lindsay should wear her own clothes.

HAMMER: Yes.

SERAFIN: And then, when people buy her own clothes, give some money to charity. You know, use the media to help their career.

(CROSS TALK)

HAMMER: I`ve said this before. There`s a difference between sensationalizing a story and actually causing someone`s problems. That`s not happening here. Cathy Areu, Kim Serafin, I thank you both.

All right. There`s big breaking Gaga news. I`ve got to tell you about this today. It`s Lady Gaga`s jaw-dropping whiskey and yoga diet confessions. Wait until you hear this. Plus, Gaga`s tear-jerking surprise for a talented young Gaga wannabe.

(MUSIC)

I cannot wait to share this with you. It`s a great story. This Gaga fan got the ultimate surprise today.

The secrets behind Michelle Obama`s fashion. Today, the creative minds behind the first lady`s fashion are revealed. The story behind the headlines.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT "Road to Gold" this Sunday will have an all- star team of contributors including "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star, Camille Grammer. She`s going to be our fashion and celebrity commentator.

Also with us, acclaimed actress Sheryl Lee Ralph and syndicated radio host, Carlos Diaz. Can`t wait.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

And at the end of the night - Oscar night - we might be calling James Franco "King James." Now, Franco is not only hosting the Oscars with Anne Hathaway. He also has a best actor nomination for his role in "127 hours."

Some pretty tough competition here - Colin Firth, of course, nominated for best actor for "The King`s Speech"; Jeff Bridges competing with his role in "True Grit"; Jesse Eisenberg for "The Social Network"; and Javier Bardem up for an amazing performance in the movie, "Beautiful."

Well, if the fabulous Franco does manage to pull this off and become King James, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you it will just add to the Franco frenzy, because what you do not know about James Franco will leave you exhausted just hearing about it. Here`s SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Brooke Anderson.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ANNE HATHAWAY, ACTRESS: Hi. This is James Franco.

BROOKE ANDERSON, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT CO-HOST (voice-over): James Franco`s Oscar hosting duties with Anne Hathaway aren`t the only thing keeping the star busy.

JAMES FRANCO, ACTOR: Four and a half hours to the big drop rappel.

ANDERSON: There`s Franco, the movie star.

FRANCO: I`m really proud of the performance. I really am.

ANDERSON: His Oscar nomination for "127 Hours" comes on the heels of blockbuster hits like the "Spiderman" trilogy and "Pineapple Express." His special favorites like "Milk" and "Howell."

FRANCO: Oh, victory!

ANDERSON: There`s Franco the scholar. He studied at at least six major universities, has degrees from both UCLA and Columbia and is currently a PhD student at Yale.

(on camera) You like to keep people guessing, don`t you?

FRANCO: I have a lot of interests.

ANDERSON (voice-over): Lots of interests. Franco, the author, published his first book, "Palo Alto," last fall. Franco, the artist, has been showing his paintings in galleries and museums for years. And there`s even Franco the soap star.

FRANCO: Art is the conflict between two opposing forces.

ANDERSON: His recurring role on "General Hospital" as an artist cleverly named Franco.

(on camera) Do you sleep?

FRANCO: I sleep sometimes.

ANDERSON (voice-over): So just what does this modern Renaissance man, this James of all trades, have planned as co-host of the Oscars?

FRANCO: I have nothing that I want to, like, say as the host. It`s already weird that I`m the host, so I just want to go and be a part of that and see how they, like, make me over.

ANDERSON: Because really, hasn`t James Franco done enough?

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: That`s SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Brooke Anderson. And is that all just unbelievable? Not only an Oscar nomination. He`s co-hosting the Oscars, all those degrees and he`s going for a PhD. James, buddy, try the decaf. It`s good.

Just incredible. Let me tell you something else that is incredible, the worldwide headlines today over the news that we broke that Camille Grammer is going to be with us on Sunday when SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is the only entertainment news show live from the Oscars.

Now, Camille, of course, is the star of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." And she`s going to be joining me and Brooke Anderson as our fashion and celebrity commentator.

Listen to this. "EOnline.com" wrote today, "We all know she`s quick to give her two cents on anything and everything. Plus, between `The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills` and her latest television gig, Camille`s a pro in front of the camera."

Perez Hilton wrote on his site, "We love it." And "People.com" had the news on its main page today. They quoted what Camille told us, "I`m pumped. I`m psyched. The thrill of a lifetime."

Which is why you do not want to miss SHOWBIZ TONIGHT "Road to Gold." We`re going to be live from the red carpet, CNN, starting at 7:00 p.m. Eastern this Sunday.

The coverage continues on HLN 11:00 p.m. Eastern when we are the only entertainment news show live with the big breaking Oscar news and the first star reactions. I cannot wait. It`s a blast.

But I`ve got to tell you, the "Showbiz on Call" phone lines have been ringing nonstop. People are calling in all about Billy Ray Cyrus` shocking comments that he regrets even letting his daughter, Miley Cyrus, star in "Hannah Montana." Billy Ray says the show tore his family apart.

We got a call into "Showbiz on Call" from Doug in Nebraska. And Doug says Billy Ray`s still got time to prove he`s a good father.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

DOUG, CALLER FROM NEBRASKA: As far as Billy Ray and his daughter, it`s not too little, too late. It`s just a parent trying to protect his child. When you look around and see what`s going on with child stars in the business today, can I totally understand where he`s coming from.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

HAMMER: Thanks a lot, Doug. We also heard from Barbara calling into "Showbiz on Call" from Arizona saying Billy Ray has got to take some responsibility for the mess he created.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

BARBARA, CALLER FROM ARIZONA: I have to say Billy Ray - as a parent, he could have stopped this any time he wanted to. He could have kept her from that "Vanity Fair" photo shoot and he could have kept her from having her boyfriends live with them when they were 10 years older than her.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

HAMMER: Thanks, Barbara. Appreciate your call. All right. Did you see this? Kim Kardashian and her famous family taking a page out of "Animal House." But what`s the wild story behind this wild night?

Royal invites, royal disses. Prince William and Kate`s wedding invitation was revealed today. The great SHOWBIZ debate about the biggest diss of them all.

And SHOWBIZ caught on tape - TV news anchors going head to head in the most awkward caught-on-tape exchanges ever.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JEANNE MOOS, CNN NATIONAL CORRESPONDENT: Mark Aiston(ph) was talking about a miniature sports trophy.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I just can`t understand how something so small can be so impressive.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Well, you would know about that. Thank you very much.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Ouch. Right below the belt on that one. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Time for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Russell Brand, Scarlett Johansson to present at the Oscars on Sunday. Pete Rose says he doesn`t think Derek Jeter will break his record for most hits.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PETE ROSE, FORMER MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL PLAYER: I think it safe to say I`ll probably die with the record. I don`t see anybody in the horizon getting 4,000 hits. They`re trying to sell me on Jeter, but he`s going to be 37 next year. And he hasn`t gotten 3,000 yet, so that`s going to be a tough time to win.

Take my word for it. The first 3,000 are easy to get. It`s the next thousand.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Rihanna rocks the house at the NBA all-star game on Sunday, which just so happened to be Rihanna`s 23rd birthday. She joined Kanye West on stage to perform their monster new hit, "All of the Lights."

I`ve got to say forget the all-star basketball players. Rihanna`s performance was the biggest slam dunk of them all. Rock on, Riri. Happy birthday.

And a big happy 30th birthday to Kim Kardashian as well. Did you see this? It`s the Kardashians gone wild. Kim and the gang took their antics to a whole new level on Sunday`s episode of "Kourtney and Kim Take New York."

Let`s just say the celebration for Kim`s 30th, it took a page out of "Animal House." Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KOURTNEY KARDASHIAN, REALITY TV STAR: Everyone, we are here and we`re all going to do a keg stand - everyone here.

KIM KARDASHIAN, REALITY TV STAR: A keg stand?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Kim is going to do this? I don`t drink beer.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: No.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Even if you have a sip -

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: OK. So big sis, Kourtney, issued the challenge and then, wouldn`t you know, mom Kris Jenner had to oblige. I mean, why not? Why would mom have to be the one to set a good example for the kids?

The toughest part was trying to get Kim on board with this wild night. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KIM KARDASHIAN: I can`t even deal with my mom doing keg stand, like there are no words.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Kim, Kim, Kim, Kim!

KIM KARDASHIAN: Hold on. Let me put my hair up.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Peer pressure -

KIM KARDASHIAN: I get what Kourtney`s trying to do. She`s trying to teach me that it`s OK to, like, loosen up and it`s not like the end of the world.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Hey. Classy. Thirty`s not the end of the world, Kim. I think maybe there are other ways to loosen up, though. But hey, to each their own, right? "Kourtney and Kim Take New York" will air Sunday nights on "E!"

Moving on now to the SHOWBIZ lineup - here`s what`s coming up at the bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: OK.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You just decide (INAUDIBLE). There was a really great event yesterday. You let me know when you`re done. You done?

HAMMER: The nasty snipes. The bickering banter. It`s an all-out anchor war caught on tape.

Plus, breaking today from the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker," Jesse James is writing a memoir. And Diana Ross returns to TV.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City with big news breaking today - Lady Gaga`s drunk diet secret.

Yes. In a stunning new revelation, Lady Gaga just revealed how a bad romance with booze actually keeps her fit enough to fit in an egg. Ashton Kutcher`s big bet on Jennifer Aniston - why he wants a date with the "Friends" star. And Nicole Kidman`s desperate battle for baby. Kidman revealing her life-long struggle with fertility. All of that is making big news in "The Buzz Today."

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) Kidman`s desperate for baby. New mom, Nicole Kidman, reveals on Australia`s "60 Minutes" that desperately wanted a second child with husband Keith Urban. Before she welcomed new daughter Faith using gestational carrier in December, Kidman says, "We were in a place of desperately wanting another child. This opportunity arose for us and I couldn`t get pregnant."

The 43-year-old says she`s had a rollercoaster ride with fertility since her marriage to Tom Cruise over 10 years ago. Kidman and Urban now have two daughters.

Ashton`s Aniston dating bet. Ashton Kutcher just dropped a bombshell saying he wanted to date Jennifer Aniston. In a brand-new interview on the BBC`s "The Graham Norton Show," Ashton says long before his eight-year marriage to Demi Moore, he made a friendly bet to date the "Friends" star saying, "I bet a high school buddy $1,000 that one day, I would go on a date with Jennifer Aniston."

"Five years later, I actually met her and I asked Brad Pitt`s permission to ask his wife out on a date. He was so cool and he said `You go for it.` So I asked her and she turned me down."

Gaga`s drunk diet. Lady Gaga just revealed she wasn`t born this skinny. The same weekend Gaga`s "Born This Way" became the fastest selling single ever on iTunes, Gaga tells Sirius XM Radio she drinks to keep her poker face and body slim and trim.

LADY GAGA, POP STAR: I`m on the drunk diet. I like to drink whiskey and stuff while I`m working. But the deal is, I`ve got to work out every day, and I work out hung over if I`m hung over. And it`s about the cross- training and keeping yourself inspired.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: So Lady Gaga`s secret to her slender figure is whiskey and yoga. She balances it out. I don`t really see Gaga`s diet turning into the next diet fad. It just what gets her creative juices flowing, I guess.

I want to bring in Kim Serafin who is a senior editor with "In Touch Weekly."

So some people think that Lady Gaga is talking a little bit too much about her love for drinking. I get that it may not be the best example to set for her young fans, Kim.

But look, it`s Gaga. She`s just being real. Do we really think that Lady Gaga talking about drinking is actually going to turn her young fans into drunks?

SERAFIN: No. I mean, this is not really a big surprise. This is someone who wore little horns on her forehead at the Grammy performance and then did interviews with those horns under her skin also.

Yes. I mean, it`s Lady Gaga so nobody really is surprised. Yes, she is a role model. She knows that she has young fans that really follow her lead and that listen to her.

But I also think that she wants to be honest. She said this in that "60 Minutes" interview that she did with Anderson Cooper.

HAMMER: Yes.

SERAFIN: She said, "I smoke a lot of pot when I write music. I`m not going to sugarcoat it. I don`t think you should use drugs, but this is what I do, and my fans respect me because I`m not a liar."

And I think that`s what we`re seeing now. She`s not lying. She`s telling it the way it is.

HAMMER: Yes. I have a lot of respect for the fact that she just puts it out there, sometimes with a caveat. But she says, "This is who I am."

And there is more big Lady Gaga news breaking today. This is actually unbelievable. Everybody is buzzing about Lady Gaga`s new record-breaking single, "Born This Way."

Well, now, a 10-year-old girl from Canada has become a YouTube sensation after doing cover of the hit song. Her name is Maria Aragon. You have got to take a look at the video that caught Lady Gaga`s attention.

And when I last checked on YouTube just this afternoon, this video had been viewed nearly 10 million times. Roll it, Charles.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Ten years old. I mean, that`s unbelievable. So Lady Gaga tweeted about the video right after she saw it. Here`s what Gaga tweeted, "Can`t stop crying watching this. This is why I make music. She is the future."

But this amazing story doesn`t stop here. Maria got the surprise of her life when she was a guest on Toronto`s Virgin Radio Station 99.9. Lady Gaga called in.

You`ve got to watch this whole thing. We`re just going to play it out for you. It`s going to have tears in your eyes just like Maria did. Roll that.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LADY GAGA: Hi, this is Lady Gaga.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Oh.

MARIA ARAGON, LADY GAGA FAN: Oh, my gosh!

LADY GAGA: Hi, Maria.

ARAGON: Hi, Lady Gaga.

LADY GAGA: I want to tell you something, Maria, because not only do you have such a beautiful voice and you are so joyful to watch.

But every once in a while, whether people believe it or not, I have a very bad day. And I was not having such a good day. And when Perez sent me the video of you singing "Born This Way," I was so overjoyed that I began to cry. I was so happy.

ARAGON: Thank you so much. Thank you so much.

LADY GAGA: Oh.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Now I`m crying.

LADY GAGA: Oh.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Now, Lady Gaga, we`re flying Maria in to see your show in Toronto in March.

LADY GAGA: Or maybe you`re just going to have to come on stage with me and sing that song. What do you think?

ARAGON: That would be really cool.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Oh, my god. That is so cool.

LADY GAGA: Would that be good? Yes, I think so. I think we should do a duet, Maria.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Whoo!

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Why don`t we start now? Could we maybe do a little bit of the chorus? Maria, are you OK to do a couple lines from the chorus?

ARAGON: Yes.

LADY GAGA: Why don`t you sing, Maria? Let me hear you.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Go ahead, Maria.

(SINGING)

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I mean, can you imagine? I`m getting chills just watching that. Can you imagine what was going through her head? I could watch this over and over and I`m blown away by this little girl every time.

But there is even more big Gaga news today. Is Gaga born to be a movie star? Well, the answer apparently is yes. Lady Gaga says that she would actually love to be on the big screen someday.

But what if there was a movie made about her? Which A-lister should play the role? Well, Lady Gaga knows exactly who that person would be. Listen to what she told the "Sirius Morning Mash Up."

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

LADY GAGA: You know what? I`d have Marisa Tomei play me.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: There you go.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Brooklyn in the house!

LADY GAGA: I am such a Marisa Tomei fan.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: She`s amazing.

LADY GAGA: Yes. All my friends call me "Marisa" when I get angry.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Really?

LADY GAGA: My New York accent just flies out of my body and I start smacking my gum.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

HAMMER: I think that`s actually a pretty great idea. Kim Serafin, what do you think?

SERAFIN: Yes. You know, Marisa is a New Yorker. I get it. There is a little bit of an age difference. But come on. How often do we see Lady Gaga without like a mask on or without her being in an egg? So you`re not going to really know the age difference -

HAMMER: Yes.

SERAFIN: Because of the costumes and the mask and things covering her face. Yes. I think, you know, honestly, if she was ever going to do a movie, she should get someone like this young girl, Maria.

She should find someone on YouTube, find someone that she has really inspired and find someone like that -

HAMMER: Yes.

SERAFIN: Like a young and upcoming star.

HAMMER: Somebody who can really sing. Kim Serafin, thank you so much. I need to move on right now to big breaking royal news today. I can tell you some big names who are going to be disappointed today.

The royal wedding invites are out. They`re in the mail. Who made the cut? Who simply was cut off? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has the shocking royal dis-vites today.

And SHOWBIZ caught on tape - when anchors attack.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MOOS: Mark Aiston(ph) was talking about a miniature sports trophy.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I just can`t understand how something so small can be so impressive.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Well, you would know about that. Thank you very much.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Nice. The nasty snipes. Bickering banter. An all-out anchor war all caught on tape. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: All right. Let`s see it. Yes, there it is. The most coveted wedding invitation in the world just revealed today.

Now, take a good look at this. It is the official invitation to the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. I`m guessing that you probably didn`t get one.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

Don`t feel bad. Of course, I didn`t get within either. But I can tell you that we are going to do everything in our power to make sure you don`t miss a thing.

Yes, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is going to be right there bringing you complete coverage. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Brooke Anderson is going to London. She`s going to be there for the entire week leading up to the wedding. It`s set for Friday, April 29th.

Now, the big buzz today was not just about the 1,900 people who got the invite and which stars are reportedly going but also about who got dis- vited.

Can we put up the invitation one more time, please? Let`s take a look at this. I`ll read it for you. I`m told it`s coming. There it is.

All right, "The Lord Chamberlain is commanded by the queen to invite so and so and so and so to the marriage of His Royal Highness, Prince William of Wales, with Miss Catherine Middleton at Westminster Abbey on Friday, April 29th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m."

That was terrible. Sorry, Fergie. Sarah Ferguson, former Duchess of York, former wife of Prince Andrew and a lovely woman, by the way - she is reportedly on the dissed list.

At least, she knows how Kate Middleton would feel on her wedding day. Fergie also got married at Westminster Abbey. That was all the way back in 1986. Nearly 10 years later, she and Prince Andrew got divorced. So what gives? I am demanding answers. Why no invite for Fergie?

Let me turn now to my esteemed colleagues, Barbara Walters and Whoopi Goldberg, on "The View" this morning. Ladies?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WHOOPI GOLDBERG, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": I was just going to say I think that for them it`s a lot easier not to invite her than to invite her. I think it would make everybody uncomfortable and the nieces and nephews, yes, but not the ex-wife. Who invites their ex-wife to the wedding?

JOY BEHAR, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": They`re family.

BARBARA WALTERS, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER AND CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": There is another possibility, and that is, in the last days of Diana`s life, she and Fergie were not friendly. They had been very close, and they were not friendly.

SHERRI SHEPHERD, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": Diana?

WALTERS: Diana and Ms. Ferguson.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: OK. While Fergie`s not going, I can tell you that David and Victoria Beckham reportedly have been invited, so has Elton John. Kanye West is also expected to be at the wedding.

But in addition to Fergie, President and Michelle Obama were not invited supposedly because this is not an official state occasion.

Well, at least that`s one less dress Michelle Obama needs to worry about getting. So what are the First Lady`s dress secrets?

Well, today, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is revealing the real story behind Michelle Obama`s dress secrets from the guy who actually designed some of them.

He was one of the many designers that CNN`s Alina Cho just got incredible access to during New York`s just completed fashion week. So here now is Alina with the fashion fury.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

ALINA CHO, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): Call it the Asian invasion. Jason Wu, Philip Lin, Alexander Wang, Lu Kun (ph), Richard Chi - today`s darlings of the fashion world.

ANNA SUI, FASHION DESIGNER: I think that this is a phenomena. It`s not something that anybody planned.

CHO: Prabal Gurung, one of the hottest right now is from Nepal.

PRABAL GURUNG, FASHION DESIGNER: Back in Nepal, arts, fashion design for a guy was unheard of.

CHO: That was then, this is now. Gurung`s dresses now line the red carpet. They`re on Oprah and the First Lady. Not bad for a designer who only launched his label two years ago.

GURUNG: I`m the first generation from my family here. But like majority of them, it`s the second generation Asians. So I think when their parents came here first, they either went to become a doctor or an engineer or in finance. They did so well that I think they allowed their children to do what they felt like doing.

ERIC WILSON, FASHION REPORTER, NEW YORK TIMES: The most interesting demographic we`ve seen in the fashion industry in decades is the number of Asian or Asian American designers become more prominent.

CHO: And if you need more convincing, take a look at who the industry`s most prestigious group, the CFDA, honored last year as its best new designers - all Asian-Americans.

WILSON: It used to be that it was you had the idea of the fashion designers as kind of flamboyant white male working behind the scenes and dictating to women what they should wear. No woman is going to accept that image today.

CHO: Prabal Gurung`s big moment came last March when Michelle Obama wore his dress at the Smithsonian when she donated her inauguration gown made by another Asian designer, Jason Wu. When Gurung saw his design on the First Lady, he called his mother.

GURUNG: It was very, very personal. It was very emotional for her also, because, you know, Nepal is far away and coming here was a huge risk that I took and they took, sending me here.

And to have that kind of validation from the First Lady - because it represents not just me. It`s about bigger picture. It`s about Nepal. All of a sudden, her wearing it represents some kind of hope that they, too, something might happen to them and something - that they, too, can dream.

CHO: And pursue a career in fashion.

(on camera) You have to admit that to have so many Asian, Asian American designers at the top of their game is pretty extraordinary.

GURUNG: It is. There`s no denying. I`m just - you know, there`s one thing that I`m happy about is I`m not an exception to the rule.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: That was CNN`s Alina Cho for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. By the way, Michelle Obama favorite, Jason Wu, launched his fall 2011 collection of fashion week. I`m sure the First Lady will be first in line for the new design.

Moving on now to SHOWBIZ caught on tape, when anchors attack.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I`m going to move on. OK. You just decide - there was a really great event yesterday. Let me know when you`re done. Are you done?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: The bickering and sniping. All-out on-air wars between TV anchors caught on tape. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ caught on tape - when anchors attack. News flash, not all TV anchors actually get along behind the scenes.

And there is brand-new evidence today that not all TV anchors get along in front of the cameras either. Here`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

JEANNE MOOS, CNN CORRESPONDENT: It`s February, the month for sending hearts and flowers, unless you`re a TV anchor, in which case it`s the month to belittle the guy sitting next to you at the news desk.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: What have I done? What have I done?

MOOS: She did it to the sports guy for Australia`s Network 10.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Proudly showing off a little urn.

MOOS: Mark Aiston(ph) was talking about a miniature sports trophy.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Belinda, I can`t understand how something so small can be so impressive.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Well, Mark, you would know about that. Thank you very much. Weather`s next with Jane Riley (ph).

MOOS: Many folks assumed the worst, "Those two have issues." When the sports reporter tweeted his "small willy" response, he linked to his blog where he posted the video and noted just for the record, "Belinda and I get on fine."

Meanwhile, Belinda Hagan went on Nova radio and assured folks, Mark`s always the one making jokes but this time -

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: He just set it up and I didn`t even think. I just had to lob it back.

MOOS: And speaking of lobbing, watch the snippy remarks lobbed back and forth on Valentine`s Day on "Good Day New York," between the medical correspondent and an anchor who doesn`t seem to think energy drinks and soda are as bad as the doctor suggests.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Depending on how much caffeine is in there.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We`re all right.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I`m going to move on. You just decide what - you say what you want to say. There was a really great event -

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: At equinox. At equinox. At equinox.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Let me know when you`re done. You`re done?

MOOS: But those were love taps compared to another encounter on the very same show years earlier.

(on camera) It was a classic case of on air hostility, the standard against which all subsequent talent testiness will be judged.

(voice-over) The segment was titled "Landlord versus Tenants" and turned into "Anchorman versus Reporter."

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: So what do you want now?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Well, if I have to teach you how to be a reporter, Oli (ph), I`ll do that later.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Why don`t you do that later, Jim?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I`ll give you some lessons on how to be a reporter.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I`ll give you some lessons on how to be an editor because I was your boss once.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes. You were and are no longer. How did that happen?

MOOS: It so happens the catfight was so memorable that just the other day "Saturday Night Live" reprised it all these years later.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I`m not taking reporter lessons from a can of hairspray.

MOOS: This just in, Anchor Rancor.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Something so small can be so impressive.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Well, Mark, you would know about that.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: That was CNN`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. And I`ve got to tell you, it`s not always anchors attacking each other. Sometimes, anchors attack themselves. Please play this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BILL O`REILLY, HOST, "THE O`REILLY FACTOR": We`ll do it live! (EXPLETIVE DELETED) it! Do it live! I can damn write it and we`ll do it live! This (EXPLETIVE DELETED) thing sucks!

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I could watch that all day every day. That is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Thank you for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.
