Aired March 01, 2011 - 20:00 ET
THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.
NANCY GRACE, HOST: Breaking news tonight, live, Hollywood. Big screen and TV superstar Charlie Sheen on reported drunken, coked-fueled rampage, holed up with two porn stars, a suitcase of cocaine and stacks of porn flicks, rushed to the ER with so-called abdominal pain, and now "Two and a Half Men" shuts down production. Divorce from wife number three, an all-out war with CBS and co-creator of the hit show "Two and a Half Men" -- it is legal war in TVland!
Bombshell tonight. Actor Sheen goes on his own media blitz, slamming his critics, show producers and even AA, Alcoholics Anonymous. He heads to the Bahamas with three women to tour the Caribbean. But wife Brooke Mueller declares mutiny, jumps ship and races to the cops to rip Charlie Sheen`s twin boys out of Sheen`s home.
In the last hours, as the custody battle heats up, Sheen gears up to fight back, seeking full custody himself of the twin boys. First of all, why are two toddler boys in the home with Charlie Sheen and two porn stars to begin with? In the last moments, literally as we go to air, third wife Brooke Mueller rushes to court to get a temporary restraining order slapped on Charlie Sheen.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
CHARLIE SHEEN, ACTOR: I am on a drug. It`s called Charlie Sheen. It`s not available because if you try it once, you will die. Your face will melt off and your children will weep over your exploded body. Too much.
Well, there`s the -- there`s (INAUDIBLE) These are the goddesses, as I refer to them.
PIERS MORGAN, "PIERS MORGAN TONIGHT": And what function do the goddesses perform?
SHEEN: Oh, gosh. It`s -- I mean, name it. Name it.
MORGAN: You have two girlfriends, basically.
SHEEN: I do, yes.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Do they goddesses help raise your kids? Are they with your kids? Do they love your kids?
SHEEN: Oh, yes. If I can`t be there, they`re there. And it`s, like, everybody helps out. And you know, there`s nothing broken here.
I`m tired of pretending like I`m not special. I`m tired of pretending like I`m not bitchin` a total fricking rock star from Mars. And people can`t figure me out. They can`t process me. I don`t expect them to. You can`t process me with a normal brain.
I was banging seven-gram rocks and finishing them because that`s how I roll. I have one speed, I have one gear, go.
I don`t believe myself to be an addict. I really don`t. I think that I`m going to just ignore or smash or finally dismiss a model that I think is rooted in vintage balderdash, you know, for lack of a better word.
So it`s -- yes, no, it`s just I -- again, I woke up and decided, you know, I`ve been kicked around, I`ve been criticized, I`ve been, like, an aw-shucks guy with, like, this bitchin` rock star life, and I`m just finally going to completely embrace it, wrap both arms around it and love it violently. And defend it violently.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
GRACE: Can`t process me with a normal brain? Did he just say that? Well, I think the criminal courts will try to process you, Mr. Sheen.
Good evening, everyone. I`m Nancy Grace. I want to thank you for being with us. Bombshell tonight, live Hollywood. Big screen and TV superstar Charlie Sheen on reported drunken, coke-fueled rampage with two porn stars, holed up with a suitcase of cocaine and plenty of porn flicks, rushed to the ER with so-called abdominal pains. And now "Two and a Half Men" shuts down. Divorce from wife number three looming, an all-out war with CBS and co-creator of "Two and a Half Men." His wife, Brooke Mueller, races to cops to rip the twin boys from his home. Why are they in the home with Charlie Sheen to start with? And in the last moments, third wife Brooke Mueller races back to court to get a TRO slapped on Charlie Sheen.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
SHEEN: The last time I did drugs, I probably took more than anybody could survive.
I`m a winner, and their lives look like they`re, you know, ruled by losers, just to put it in black and white terms. I don`t want their lives, and they want mine. They want to criticize the hell out of it, you know? And now they`ve run the gamut from, like, Oh, he`s not loaded. Now what? Oh, he`s manic. I don`t even know what that means. That I guess would imply that there`s going to be a crash. I don`t know when that`s coming, but maybe you can cover it when it does because I`m me. Because I`m me. I`m different. I just have a different constitution. I have a different brain. I have a different heart. I have a different -- you know (INAUDIBLE)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You don`t worry that you`re going to die when you take that many drugs?
SHEEN: Dying`s for fools. What are you talking about?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Some are saying that you`re bipolar.
SHEEN: Wow. What does that mean?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I guess that, you know, you`re on two ends of the spectrum?
SHEEN: Wow. And then what. What`s the cure? Medicine? Make me like them? Not going to happen. (INAUDIBLE) winning. I win here and I win there. Now what? If I`m bipolar, aren`t there moments where a guy, like, crashes (INAUDIBLE) the corner (INAUDIBLE) Oh, my God, it`s all my mom`s fault. Shut up! Shut up! Stop. Move forward. You borrow my brain for five seconds and just be, like, Dude, can`t handle it. Unplug this bastard, yes, because it just -- it fires in a way that is, I don`t know, maybe not from this particular terrestrial realm.
I`m entertained as hell. I`m not saying that it`s not true, but I`m - - I`m -- I`m -- I`m laughing. And I`m laughing with -- with -- with goddesses. I`m laughing with my friends. And everybody`s, like -- well, did they expect it to be like a normal interview? Did they expect it to be conventional and boring and whatever else? No, man. It`s -- we`re shaking the tree. Shaking all the trees.
Things have been a little sideways. I`ll admit that. Yes, I was -- I was running at -- burning at both ends. And you know, I`m not going to say it wasn`t (INAUDIBLE) and I wasn`t having a ball and all those around me weren`t completely enjoying the show. And yes, we`re on a rocket ship to the moon sometimes. But if you -- if you -- if you do the crime, you got to do the time.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
GRACE: That`s Charlie Sheen on NBC`s "Today" show and ABC`s "Good Morning America." He certainly has not made a secret of his feelings, saying his blood is actually tiger blood and he has the DNA of Adonis, the male god of love in Greek mythology.
Out to Kim Serafin, senior editor, "In Touch Weekly." Kim, what happened?
KIM SERAFIN, "IN TOUCH WEEKLY": Yes, as you just reported, TMZ is saying now Brooke just got this emergency restraining order requiring Charlie to stay 100 yards away from her. And of course, this was after a lot of things happened today. Reportedly, Brooke went to try and get custody of the kids. We all saw those twins on TV with Charlie, with the goddesses taking care of them.
GRACE: Hold on. Hold on, Serafin.
SERAFIN: So I think this was...
GRACE: Hold on, Serafin. Here`s my big question. I`m not saying she`s wrong trying to get the boys back. But what I am saying is, why has she left the boys -- if she`s so worried about Charlie Sheen, why has she left two toddler boys, infants, in the care of a model and a porn star and Charlie Sheen, why, if she`s so worried about her twins?
SERAFIN: Well, and exactly. That`s what everyone is saying, is that she right now can`t really get these boys back because of their custody agreement. At least Charlie had them at least for today. Now, they`re soon to be exes. Their divorce won`t be finalized until May, so I guess they`ll have more specific custody agreements. But of course, Charlie is now charging that he wants full custody because he is saying Brooke has struggled with her own sobriety issues.
GRACE: OK, To Alexis Tereszcuk, Radaronline.com, joining us from LA. Weigh in, Alexis.
ALEXIS TERESZCUK, RADARONLINE.COM: So the reason that Charlie actually has the kids -- up until about a week ago, Brooke had moved back in with Charlie. They had sort of mended fences. Charlie told her he was going to buy her a multi-million-dollar house right in his neighborhood.
GRACE: Wait a minute! Whoa, whoa!
TERESZCUK: He wanted his kids closer...
GRACE: Wa-wa-wa-wa-wa-wait! You`re leaving out one little tidbit, Alexis Tereszcuk, the fact that she moved back along with, what, two other women? They went to the Bahamas with him. What was it, Alexis...
TERESZCUK: Yes.
GRACE: ... a new age polygamy in LA? What was the whole scenario?
TERESZCUK: You`re absolutely right. You know, Charlie has said that perhaps he does want to research having a polygamist marriage, which I don`t think is legal in California. But he`s also...
GRACE: I`ve got a big bombshell for Charlie Sheen. If he wants a polygamist marriage, to be a Mormon, they don`t even drink chocolate milk, Alexis Tereszcuk, much less bring home a steamer (ph). I don`t mean an overnight carry-on, I mean a steamer cocaine with two porn stars. No. That`s not the way they roll.
Go ahead, Alexis. I want to get back to what Brooke Mueller is doing. And I haven`t touched on his lawsuit against CBS and the creator of "Two and a Half Men," which is set to make them I guess about $120 million over a couple of years, and then literally billions in syndication. Go ahead. I want to hear the rest about this wife. Didn`t she go into rehab to fight crack cocaine addiction? Not just powder cocaine, crack, rocks, the kind you cook up on a stove?
TERESZCUK: Yes. And the one thing is, you know, when she went into rehab, it`s while she was pregnant. She was in rehab for crack while she was pregnant. So she doesn`t exactly have a solid track record. She`s moved back in with Charlie Sheen about a week ago. They went to the Bahamas together. On their way there, the Miami airport, Charlie decided to send Brooke home. We don`t know exactly what happened, but it was over then.
GRACE: Wait a minute! Tereszcuk, I heard that she wanted to leave, that she left on her own. Are you telling me he made her leave?
TERESZCUK: That`s what sources have told us, yes. And there`s not a reason why. We don`t know exactly why, but yes, you`re right.
GRACE: OK, well, that ruins the whole thing for me. Out to you Josh Sabarra, president, Breaking News PR in LA. You know, Brooke Mueller for just a moment had a little thimbleful of common sense, where she said, You know what? This is too messed up. I`m getting out of this. Now I find she allows herself to be sent away by Charlie Sheen? She`s out there with a porn star, a nanny and I don`t even know who all these women are that are in and out. It`s like a revolving door. And he makes her leave? Is that what happened, Sabarra?
JOSH SABARRA, PRES., BREAKING NEWS PR: That`s what I understand. It`s kind of hard to believe, isn`t it, Nancy?
GRACE: Well, how is a judge going to decide between these two? To you, Rupa Mikkilineni, our producer on the story. Rupa, you`ve been in touch with Charlie Sheen. What did he say?
RUPA MIKKILINENI, NANCY GRACE PRODUCER: Well, he said a lot of things to me today, Nancy, but...
GRACE: I`m sure! Did he mention that he`s got tiger blood running through his veins and his DNA is that of Adonis?
MIKKILINENI: That`s not something we discussed, but I do have...
GRACE: You didn`t touch on that. OK. Go ahead.
MIKKILINENI: No, we didn`t touch on that. But I do have a statement from him, which I`ll read for you. "Remember one thing before you judge. None of you know me. None of you have met me. You`re not in my home with me, and you don`t see how I am with my family, my children and the people I love and care about. All you know about is what other people say about me and judge (ph) based on information out there doesn`t (ph) even come from your direct observation of me. So I urge all of you to reserve judgment. I`m in a battle, and I`m winning. I`m clean, sober and off the drugs, and that was in the past. Let`s focus on the future."
GRACE: Have you ever noticed -- to you, Caryn Stark. You`re the shrink in this scenario. Have you ever noticed when people do something really, really crappy, really bad, they go, Let`s focus on the future. Let`s move forward. Why do they always say that? In other words, erase, erase everything that`s happened. A judge is not going to erase this. There is going to be a TRO against Charlie Sheen regarding those two twins. But I got to tell you, Caryn Stark, how`s a judge going to decide between him and Brooke Mueller?
CARYN STARK, PSYCHOLOGIST: Well, this is clearly a no-win for the two boys. I feel terrible for them. They need to have somebody, Nancy, step in and be a guardian for these two boys because it doesn`t sound like either parent is fit to be taking care of them.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
SHEEN: I feel guilty that the perception of it has been that I`m the guy to blame for all of it, you know, because no one was in sober valley lodge. No one was in -- in -- you know, in these situations or in -- in -- in the middle of the scenario that I was. So nobody had the facts. And that`s what I stand on. And that`s what I -- that`s what -- that`s what fuels me is -- is -- is the truth.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: (INAUDIBLE) it`s disruptive. You have to admit that, or do you not? How do you explain that?
SHEEN: Yes, it can be. It can be, sure. Sure. Yes, but generally, when it was, like, me and, like, people I knew, everything was groovy. And then the -- you know, the urchins and the weirdos roll in, and that`s when all the -- it`s when all the garbage happens. It`s when it goes bad, when it, like, rots and falls off the vine.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Well, see, that`s the thing. So when you do drugs like cocaine -- you talked about it earlier -- bad people come with the bad drugs.
SHEEN: Yes, but that`s, like...
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Right? Bad people come with...
SHEEN: Right. Right. And I mean -- yes, that`s -- they do. They do. But this is the -- this is the roll of the dice you take and the situation dictates and you make adjustments and like that, you know? I just don`t make any excuses.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: People have said you`re a violent person toward women. What do you say to that?
SHEEN: Oh, they don`t know me. And the same people talking about those incidents weren`t there, so how much can they really discuss a situation they were not involved with? You know, at that point, it`s all just judgment and opinion and just the gibberish of fools.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You told me you want to rededicate yourself now to your kids, to being a dad.
SHEEN: Sure.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Are you embarrassed that your children will read about this one day?
SHEEN: God, no! Talk about an education. And then, like, this, and then that`s the guy, and he`s our dad, and we can get all the answers and the truth. Wow. Winning! That`s how you perceive it.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: How do you avoid slipping back into that again?
SHEEN: I don`t know. I just won`t do it. I mean, that`s -- I will not believe that if I do something then I have to follow a certain path because it was written -- it was written for normal people, people that aren`t special, people that don`t have tiger blood, and you know, Adonis DNA.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Strong people have relapsed. Strong people have started using again. How do you avoid that?
SHEEN: Fools! Fools! Trolls. Weak. Defeated. They allow defeat to be an option. I will not.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
GRACE: That is Sheen on "Good Morning America" and the "Today" show. Unleash lawyers. Joining us tonight from New York, Susan Moss and Doug Burns. Out of Atlanta, Raymond Giudice. First to you, Sue Moss. Weigh in.
SUSAN MOSS, FAMILY LAW ATTORNEY: Someone better wean him off that Charlie Sheen! This guy`s decisions as a parent have been horrible! When did porn star become a qualification to become a nanny! The fact that he abused the mothers of some of these children, the fact that he has a porn star living with these two young boys, the fact that he`s calling the mother, that she has sobriety problems -- that`s like the pot calling the kettle Charlie Sheen! This judge has got to get in there, get drug tests for everybody and probably take these kids away from both of them and with some responsible parent!
GRACE: To Rupa Mikkilineni. What about the drug tests that he insisted on having witnesses watch?
MIKKILINENI: Right, he took a drug test with a media outlet, Radaronline, this weekend on Saturday. He had blood tests done, urine tests done, and he passed with flying colors, Nancy.
GRACE: OK, did they watch him urinate into the cup, Rupa?
MIKKILINENI: Nancy, according to Radaronline, there is video of him actually taking the tests.
GRACE: So taking the tests -- I guess what you`re trying to say is they watched him...
MIKKILINENI: Urinate into a cup.
GRACE: Urinate into a cup. OK. Because I want to make sure he`s not using somebody else`s urine to get a clean test. To Dr. Susan Evan, joining us from LA. Dr. Evan, is there any way you can beat that test, the drug test?
DR. SUSAN EVAN, DERMATOLOGIST: Well, if it`s actually your urine, we make it very specific for different type of narcotics, so whoever`s urine that was, there was no drugs in it.
GRACE: Back to the lawyers, Doug Burns and Raymond Giudice. You know, Ray Giudice, it makes it worse every time he keeps talking and talking and talking about no violence against women. I mean, we all know what went down out in Aspen. The police were called during the attack on Brooke Mueller, his wife. Then you`ve got what happened in New York with the porn star locked in the bathroom. He ended up swinging from a chandelier. The whole shebang!
RAYMOND GIUDICE, DEFENSE ATTORNEY: Let me address this. If I was his attorney, what would I try to do? I would repackage him before I took him into a courtroom. Right now, he would lose custody. I agree with Sue. There would be a guardian ad litem the next day.
GRACE: What about it? To you, Doug Burns.
DOUG BURNS, DEFENSE ATTORNEY: No, I agree. I mean, you got to address it from a public relations standpoint, as you were saying earlier. I don`t think it`s a good idea for him to be out there as much as he is, and just lay low and try to create the best image that`s possible, Nancy.
GRACE: But Ray Giudice, don`t you think there`s a real possibility that neither of these parents are going to get the twin boys? They are toddlers.
GIUDICE: I agree. And I`m not going to slander Ms. Mueller. I don`t know that much about her. But there may be temporary foster parents in both of these people`s future for these children who are in a dangerous situation, potentially.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
SHEEN: My goddesses, yes.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: (INAUDIBLE) got to protect his goddess!
SHEEN: Well, come on, man. Goddesses. Goddesses.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Don`t show that.
SHEEN: Show that. Show her.
(CROSSTALK)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I love it!
MIKKILINENI: There`s the goddesses right there.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Can we shoot the other goddess?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The goddesses are here.
SHEEN: The goddesses are here.
(LAUGHTER)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: On the floor!
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We`re live.
SHEEN: (INAUDIBLE) live across the word. Yes.
(LAUGHTER)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Go ahead. Say what you want to say. It`s live.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hi, Mom!
(LAUGHTER)
SHEEN: Nice.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And Dad.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: All right (INAUDIBLE)
(LAUGHTER)
(END VIDEO CLIP)
GRACE: Where are the two little boys? Where are they? Where are they tonight, as a matter of fact? As we went to air, I got the wire that the third wife, Brooke Mueller, slapped a TRO, temporary restraining order, on "Two and a Half Men" star Charlie Sheen. And we get the lowdown, TMZ reporting that Brooke Mueller now tells a judge that she fears for her safety, that he has made specific descriptive threats against her, that he`s got to stay 100 yards away from her. Now, this is the same woman that chose to go with him to the Bahamas with a model and a nanny. I don`t know where the children are in the midst of all of this.
I want to go to Tammy Scartella (ph), interventionist, A Better Tomorrow at ABTTC.com (ph). Tammy, when you start listening to Charlie Sheen, a lot of people would actually get mesmerized, like you`re with a snake charmer. You can actually get sucked into his reasoning, except, of course, when he challenges his executive producer to an octagon (ph) fight, which is, you know, one of the wrestling challenges in the Ultimate Fight contest. You know, you start listening to this about the Adonis DNA and the tiger blood and he`s not on drugs, he`s on Charlie Sheen, a normal mind cannot understand him -- what`s going to happen? Are we just going to all watch him die?
TAMMY SCARTELLA, INTERVENTIONIST: No. Absolutely not. You know, it -- someone needs to intervene. There needs to be -- he -- all this stuff he`s saying is -- really, he`s begging for a mental health intervention. Something has to happen. Nancy, honestly, he doesn`t sound any different than the normal clients that admit into A Better Tomorrow, the stuff he`s saying, feeling supernatural and not like everybody else. Everybody client, I can guarantee you, has said to me at a time or another, I`m not like everybody else. I`m special and I`m different. I don`t have a normal brain. And so this is textbook, his behavior, everything he`s doing and saying.

UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Do the goddesses help raise your kids? Are they with your kids? Do they love your kids?

I`ve been like the awe-shocks guy with like this bitching rock star life and I`m just finally going to completely embrace it, wrap both arms around it and love it violently and defend it violently.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: This latest bender, do you feel like you have to apologize for your actions?
SHEEN: The bender of -- this intellectual bender?
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: No. The 36-hour -- where you admitted it was a 36-hour party. You ended up in the hospital, Cedar Sinai, right? At the end of that bender.
SHEEN: No, that was a hernia problem.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: You don`t associate any of that with the drug use? At all?
SHEEN: Not really. No.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: (INAUDIBLE)
SHEEN: It was a hernia.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Stay there, and you get (INAUDIBLE).
SHEEN: They were like AA this, and I was like bye-bye that. You know?
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Yes. They don`t push that envelope?
SHEEN: They tried. That`s when I went home.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: That`s the drugs. This is the problem.
SHEEN: They tried. That`s when I went home. Yes, I just -- it was all like voodoo speak at that point. Whatever. I fix myself. It`s possible. People can do it if they start believing.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Your father spoke this week. Did you see that interview?
SHEEN: Dad, shut it.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Did you see it?
SHEEN: No, I did not. No, I heard it was great, though. It was great. Yes.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: OK. He said that he likened your current predicament to cancer.
SHEEN: Predicament. Wow. OK, Pop, walk through a cancer ward right now and find any (EXPLETIVE DELETED) that look like me.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: He said that you`re an addict. And I`ll read you the quote. He said, "You know if he had cancer, how would we treat him? The disease of addiction is a form of cancer and you have to have equal measure of concern and love and lift them up so that`s what we do for him."
SHEEN: Sounds poetic but it`s rooted in bullocks.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Why?
SHEEN: Because he`s subscribing to the --
(END OF VIDEO CLIP)
NANCY GRACE, HOST: You`re seeing video of Sheen on Radaronline.com.
We are taking your calls. To Pat in New York. Hi, Pat.
PAT, CALLER FROM NEW YORK: Hi, Nancy. How are you?
GRACE: I`m good, dear. What`s your question?
PAT: I would like to know why CPS isn`t involved in this. And if Denise Richards has made any statements or at least keeping her children away from him?
GRACE: Excellent question.
To you, Sue Moss, you are the child advocate. I`m stunned that child custody -- Child Protective Services has not been in the home. And at least done an investigation. You`ve got the wife, Brooke Mueller, they are still legally married, racing to get a TRO to protect herself but the children are in the home. During all of this she`s had the children in the home with Charlie Sheen.
So what does that say about her? And this is not trash Brooke Mueller night. I`m much more concerned about Charlie Sheen`s impact on those children and the women he`s got with him. But what does that say about her?
SUSAN MOSS, FAMILY LAW ATTORNEY & CHILD ADVOCATE: It`s horrible. But now that she`s gone to court, this judge will probably start an investigation with the local Child Protective Services. I mean, he`s got porn stars that he linger. It`s like an episode of "Jerry Springer."
There is so many problems here but the biggest, the biggest problem is the issue of drugs. I mean it wasn`t that long ago he was in New York City and there were reports of him with lots of cocaine.
GRACE: To the other lawyers, Doug Burns, Raymond Giudice.
Ray Giudice, if you take a look -- if you don`t know a horse, Giudice, look at the track record. What do we know about Brooke Mueller? We know the last time she claims he tried to slit her throat, that he had her straddled on a bed in Aspen, the charges were reduced down to a misdemeanor. He did not do one day of jail time. And that was that.
That`s what happened the last time. So this is starting to sound like the boy that cried wolf. What`s going to happen this time? Is he going to fork over another couple million dollars and the whole thing is going to go away, she`s going to go away, and he`s going to get the children?
RAY GIUDICE, DEFENSE ATTORNEY: Well, I don`t think so. And I`ll tell you why. This is not a criminal proceeding. This is a divorce proceeding where that judge has the final say on what`s in the best interest of those children until they`re 18. So that`s not going anywhere. And I don`t think that judge can get paid off.
GRACE: But I don`t mean money to the judge.
GIUDICE: Well, I`m seeing --
GRACE: I mean money to her, Doug Burns. To her.
DOUG BURNS, DEFENSE ATTORNEY: OK.
GRACE: I mean, listen, if one of you were straddled on a bed with a knife on your throat.
BURNS: Right.
GRACE: Would you let the prosecutor plead it down to a misdemeanor and straight probation? I don`t think so.
BURNS: No --
GRACE: What about it, Burns?
BURNS: Come on, you`re making a good point. I mean of course in celebrity situations I just talked to a couple of matrimonial experts. They say yes, money plays a very, very important part in what happens prior. But now the key point is that neither side appears to be a good situation for these children. And it`s a very, very tough situation.
GRACE: Well, I don`t understand why DFACS has not been there investigating.
Josh Sabarra, president of Breaking News PR out in L.A., if child services had been to the home, wouldn`t we know about it or is there any way to keep that quiet as a publicist and what happened to his publicist anyway?
JOSH SABARRA, PRESIDENT, BREAKING NEWS PR: I mean typically, Nancy, that`s the kind of thing that would come out. I`m sure that we would know if they had been to the house. His publicist Stan Rosenfeld is very well regarded publicist out here in Los Angeles and works with many of the top stars so my -- I think he was probably doing the most responsible thing he could by stepping down because this has gotten so out of control.
GRACE: Out to the lines. Karen in New York. Hi, Karen. I think I`ve got Karen.
Karen, are you there?
KAREN, CALLER FROM FLORIDA I`m Karen from Florida.
GRACE: Karen in Florida. Hi, Karen in Florida. What`s your question, dear?
KAREN: Nancy, I`m just wondering -- first of all, I want to say God bless you and your family, and you`re truly an earth angel I just have to say that.
GRACE: Thank you. I appreciate that.
KAREN: But when you first aired -- when you first aired, wasn`t it mention that he had a suitcase of cocaine?
GRACE: OK. The suitcase of cocaine was really what got this whole thing rolling. Remember this whole last incident started -- wait, you know what?
Out to you, Alexis Tereszcuk. Remember he was partying with the -- not hookers. The porn stars and they were watching porn flicks all night long and doing cocaine or at least those are the reports. Of course there`s not a police report filed once again on Charlie Sheen. So we don`t really know.
He`s got a point there. We don`t know what happened. We weren`t in the room. But those are the reports. That`s what started this whole thing.
ALEXIS TERESZCUK, REPORTER, RADAROLINE.COM: You`re absolutely right. It was about a 36-hour bender. There were -- according to all reports, there was a briefcase of cocaine that was delivered to the house. That`s a huge amount of cocaine. And that`s what Charlie ordered. And he wound up in the hospital after that.
GRACE: And that started the whole thing. Then they shut down production of "Two and a Half Men." Then they canceled it for the season. It may come back. My money is on Sheen on this one, people.
Listen, a few months are going to pass. Everybody is going to kiss and make up and he`s going to go back to making $2 million or more an episode.
To John Lucich, criminal investigator, president of E Forensics, weigh in. What can police do to intervene now?
JOHN LUCICH, CRIMINAL INVESTIGATOR, PRESIDENT, E FORENSICS: You know, Nancy, this guy is coming out and telling you what he`s doing. He`s admitting on air -- to everybody he`s interviewed with, so he`s going to be the best witness, whether it`s a civil case or a criminal case against him.
What did he say before? He liked to rock with seven grams? I mean that`s cocaine. If he`s talking about cocaine, he`s telling you what he`s doing. We don`t have this stuff. I mean he`s coming out and telling you that he`s an unfit father.
GRACE: Well, unfortunately, in our jurisdiction -- in our jurisprudence system, a confession alone is not enough to prosecute a case. That is the law. You got to have more than a confession.
LUCICH: But that`s a criminal case, not in a civil case. And so when it comes down to him losing these kids, living this type of lifestyle, he`s going to hang himself.
GRACE: You know what? You`re right about that when it comes to civil law. You`re absolutely correct, John Lucich.
Kim Serafin, very quickly, have you noticed that studio heads -- no offense CBS -- but the studio heads -- he`s got a naked woman cowering in the bathroom in a five-star hotel in New York. He allegedly has a knife to the throat of Brooke Mueller. Then suddenly they take offense when he trashes the creator of the show and they shut down production?
KIM SERAFIN, SENIOR EDITOR, IN TOUCH WEEKLY: Yes. It`s interesting. There have been a few blog items and articles about this same exact thing. That there`s many things that have happened in the past with women but yet now when he attacks the creator of the show, then there`s a problem, then they pull the plug on production.
But I am with you, Nancy. I think he will be back. They make way too much money off of this show. Les Moonves even made some kind of joking comments from CBS, saying, I wish Charlie had campaigned this hard to get an Emmy. Wish he was on the air as much as he is now.
GRACE: Yes. Well, here`s a news flash. Now he wants $3 million an episode. $3 million an episode and a $20 million signing bonus to come back. He says they got to beg him to come back. That`s the world of Charlie Sheen.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
SHEEN: Just decide that you`re going to and do it. It`s not that complicated. Just decide you`re going to harness the power of your mind and stop believing the gibberish of fools and just do it. Just look in the mirror and go, I can do this and do it, and then start living differently.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
SHEEN: Last time I did drugs, I probably took more than anybody could survive. I`m a winner. And their lives look like they`re -- you know, ruled by losers. I mean just to put it in black and white terms.
I don`t want their lives and they want mine. They want to criticize the hell out of it. You know? And now they`ve run the gamut from, like, OK, he`s not loaded. Now what? He`s manic.
I don`t even know what that means. I guess that would imply that there`s going to be a crash. I don`t know when that`s coming. But maybe you can cover it when it does.
Because I`m me. Because I`m me. I`m different. I just have a different constitution. I have a different brain. I have a different heart. I have a different -- you know, I get tiger blood, man.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: You don`t worry that you`re going to die when you take that many drugs?
SHEEN: Dying is for fools. But even a doctor --
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Some are saying that you`re bipolar.
SHEEN: Wow. What does that mean?
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: I guess that -- you know, you`re on two ends of the spectrum?
SHEEN: Wow. And then what? What`s the cure? Medicine? Make me like them? Not going to happen. I`m winning. I win here and I win there. Now what? If I`m bipolar aren`t there moments where a guy like crashes and he`s going to be in the corner, crying oh my gosh, it`s all my mom`s fault. Shut up. Shut up. Stop. Move forward.
You borrow my brain for five seconds and just be like, dude, can`t handle it. Unplug this bastard. Yes. Because it just -- it fires in a way that is -- I don`t know, maybe not from this particular terrestrial realm.
I`m entertained as hell. I`m not saying that it`s not true but I`m -- laughing. And I`m laughing with the goddesses. I`m laughing with my friends. And everybody is like -- well, did they expect it to be like a normal interview? Did they expect it to be just conventional and boring and whatever else? No, man, it`s -- we`re shaking the tree. Shaking all the trees.
Things have been a little sideways. I`ll admit that. Yes, I was running it and burning it at both ends. And you know I`m not going to say I wasn`t epic, and I wasn`t having a ball and all those around me weren`t completely enjoying the show.
And yes, we`re on a rocket ship to the moon some nights. But if you - - if you do the crime, you`ve got to do the time.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: What do you do when one of your sons comes up and says, I want to try beer? Or what if he said I want to try cocaine? What do you say to your kids? And this is going to happen.
SHEEN: I would strongly recommend against it. But if he wants to try a beer, do it here, at least not out driving around like some clown, like some amateur, you know?
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Right. What about cocaine?
SHEEN: There`s no room for it. There`s no place for it. There`s no victory with that drug.
(END OF VIDEO CLIP)
GRACE: He also says that CBS honcho, the creator of "Two and a Half Men," Chuck Levine, refers to him as Chaim Levine, and then says he did not intend any anti-Semitic intent. And says he think he`s about to put a shank in him.
Could you tell me, Rupa Mikkilineni, what does Charlie Sheen, who lives in a multimillion dollar mansion and has like $50 million in the bank, not kidding, know about a shank or a homemade knife created typically in a men`s prison gang? What does he know about a shank? Did he get that from a movie role?
RUPA MIKKILINENI, NANCY GRACE PRODUCER: Nancy, he could have gotten it from a movie role. Obviously he`s been in and out of trouble for many - - a number of years in and out of jail, probation, not for very long of course.
Now I can tell you this. He did say very clearly he had no intent to make an anti-Semitic remark. And he and Chuck Lorre have been for a long time at each other`s throat.
GRACE: OK, Kim Serafin, senior editor, "In Touch Weekly." That`s what Mel Gibson said. He didn`t mean it. All of the anti-Semitic comments. The spews. And then he said oh no, you know what? I didn`t mean that.
Now Gibson has not worked again. I don`t think that`s going to happen with Charlie Sheen. I don`t think it`s going to happen at all. They are making too much money off of him. They`re going to bring him back. They`re going to say that they mended fences, they`re going to have a photo-op. Each side is going to issue a statement. It`s going to go back to normal unless he just drugs himself to death.
But what`s going to happen with the twins? Can you answer any of those questions, Kim?
SERAFIN: Well, I definitely agree with you again that this show will go on. He makes way too much money. Plus as you mentioned before, he really is a snake charmer in that. He`s very convincing. You watch some of these interviews and yes, there`s the crazy factor, there`s the Adonis DNA, and the tiger blood. But then even by last night`s interview that he did with Piers Morgan, he seemed kind of calmer. He showed him his drug test. He`s very convincing. And that is again why he makes so much money for this show.
GRACE: Kim. Kim. Kim. Kim, listen, you are much younger than me. I guess I got 20 years on you. Listen to me, little girl. Every man that you know thinks he`s got tiger blood and Adonis DNA. All right? Sheen just blurted it out unfortunately.
So what do you think, Tereszcuk? Will they take him back and that aside what`s going to happen with the twins?
TERESZCUK: You know what? This has been a battle at the very top. We have spoken to multiple sources that have told us that CBS -- it`s just a battle between Charlie and Chuck. And you know what? This time they went with Chuck. He`s got two other shows on the network that make tons and tons of money.
He doesn`t need the money. The network doesn`t need the money. They`ve got these other shows that they`re banking on. The thing is there is a year left on Charlie`s contract and the show does make a lot of money. There have been rumors that perhaps John Stamos would replace him. We heard that that was maybe a joke. But it`s absolutely an option.
So I think that don`t count Charlie out yet but you never know.
GRACE: To Katheryn in Florida. Hi, Kathryn. What`s your question, dear?
KATHERYN, CALLER FROM FLORIDA: Hi -- hi, Nancy. How are you?
GRACE: I`m good.
KATHERYN: I`m a mother of twins. I`m blessed. And I know you are.
I have a question for you. Here in the state of Florida, we have the Marchman Act. I don`t know if it is available in California. I don`t know if you`re familiar with it. But it allows somebody, whether it`s a private practitioners, family member, to go in front of a judge in a mental health division of the local courthouse.
And if an individual is refusing treatment that they`re ordered for treatment and if they do not go into treatment that there are consequences.
Do you know if that`s available in the state of California?
GRACE: Yes. You`re talking about temporary detention regarding substance abuse. It`s likened to an involuntary commitment and they absolutely do have that in California.

UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: I heard you say today earlier that you did the rehab by yourself at home but it was --
SHEEN: No, I had a support team. I had a support team.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: I mean there`s a lot of people watching that have problems. Right?
SHEEN: Sure. Yes.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: And you`re saying you got over it 100 percent.
SHEEN: Yes.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Like that.
SHEEN: Yes, sure. Yes.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: How?
SHEEN: Just decide that you`re going to and do it. It`s not that complicated. Just decide you`re going to harness the power of your mind and stop believing in the gibberish of fools and just do it. Just look in the mirror and go, I can do this and do it. And then start living differently. And you start seeing yourself differently. Start seeing your reality differently. That`s all.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Is this pretty normal? I mean you have picture of kids on the fridge?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I mean it`s like from the days when we sat there with big, old (INAUDIBLE) --
SHEEN: Hey, wait a minute. They`ll run with that. They`ll run with that.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I`m joking.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Charlie told me that you can put him in his place and he`ll -- when he`s wrong, you put him in his place. Do you?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I don`t --
SHEEN: And how quickly --
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: No, let her answer. Let her answer.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I don`t generally have to. I respect Charlie as a man and I respect him as head of this household and trust him completely.
(END OF VIDEO CLIP)
GRACE: That`s Charlie Sheen on NBC`s "Today" show.
We are taking your calls. To Sheila in Maine. Hi, Sheila.
SHEILA, CALLER FROM MAINE: Hi, Nancy.
GRACE: Hi, dear, what`s your question?
SHEILA: Well, I want to say, God bless you and your family.
GRACE: Thank you.
SHEILA: And my question is, he seems like, in my opinion, I`m not a doctor, but it seems like he has a bipolar or a schizo-effective bipolar issue. And I`m not sure, did he ever get a --
GRACE: Did he ever get a mental evaluation? Good question.
SHEILA: Yes.
GRACE: What about it, Rupa?
MIKKILINENI: Nancy, we`re really unclear about whether he`s got a mental evaluation. Obviously he has spent some time in rehab and this is normal procedure to do so.
GRACE: Everyone, tonight, it`s all about those twin boys in the home with Charlie Sheen.
