ANDERSON: Hi, there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson in New York with big news breaking today - Charlie Sheen strikes back.

Today, we are getting bombshell new details about exactly why Charlie Sheen was fired from his hit TV show, "Two and a Half Men." And I`ve got to tell you the accusations - well, they are flying faster than Charlie Sheen`s on- camera rant.

Charlie`s bosses at Warner Brothers are accusing him of everything under the sun, from showing up to the set unprepared to looking sick and breaking a morals clause in his contract.

But easily, the most stunning part of today`s Sheen drama is Charlie`s brand-new, bizarre, machete-wielding reaction. Machete - that`s what I said. And of course, it was all caught on tape. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Bring it!

(CHEERS)

CHARLIE SHEEN, ACTOR: What can I say? Free at last. Free at last.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Whoever gave that guy a machete - that was a bad, bad idea. I want to go to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter who is in the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom in Hollywood right now.

Kareen, Warner Brothers not only fired Charlie, but they fired off a long list of reasons why they fired him, didn`t they? Tell us more.

KAREEN WYNTER, CORRESPONDENT: They sure did, Brooke. A long list indeed. In legal documents that were obtained by TMZ, Warner Brothers is making a bonanza of claims today in a document fired off to Sheen`s lawyers saying this, "Tour client has been engaged in dangerously self-destructive conduct and appears to be very ill."

"For months before the suspension of production, Mr. Sheen`s erratic behavior escalated while his condition deteriorated. His declining condition undermined the production in numerous and significant ways. Now, the entire world knows Mr. Sheen`s condition from his alarming outbursts over just the last few weeks."

And Brooke, you know, it gets even worse if you can believe that. Warner Brothers - they listed all the reasons why they felt that they had no choice but to fire Charlie, including his inability to deliver lines, his inability to collaborate effectively with staff and crew and his inability to perform on the show, and that includes his physical appearance.

And Brooke, also the documents claim that Charlie - he appeared to have lost 20 pounds - 20 pounds over the Christmas break. And they claimed they offered to rearrange production schedules just to accommodate treatment, even making an airplane available to take him to a rehab facility.

ANDERSON: Wow. And yes, as we know, he never got on that airplane.

WYNTER: He didn`t.

ANDERSON: He chose instead to cure the whole thing with his brain, rehab at his home, which he`s calling the "Sober Valley Lodge." It seems like Warner Brothers and CBS - it seems like they tried to do the right thing.

Kareen, they also took Charlie Sheen`s public attack against the creator and executive producer of "Two and a Half Men," Chuck Lorre. They took all of that very seriously.

WYNTER: You know, Brooke, they absolutely did, and they listed the names, in fact, that Charlie Sheen called Chuck Lorre including - and this is mind-boggling - "stupid," "stupid little man," "turd" and "a clown" and that said it was Charlie`s statements and escalating destructive behavior that, you know, left them no choice but to fire him. They just had to let him go.

ANDERSON: Yes. They had had enough. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter, thank you so much. Good to see you. And you know, I could hardly believe my eyes. There was Charlie striking back in a brand-new Web cast revealed today.

With me, right now, in New York, Jane Velez-Mitchell, who is the host of "ISSUES WITH JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL" right here on HLN. She is also the author of this fabulous book. It is "Addict Nation: An Intervention for America." And oh, how appropriate right now. My goodness. Also in New York, Michael Billy, who is a TV and radio host.

And you, guys, I honestly cannot wrap my head around the fact that Charlie Sheen`s first public move after being fired by Warner Brothers was to go on top of a building, on the roof of a building, wielding a machete and proclaimed he is now a free man. Jane, this is not funny in the least.

JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL, HOST, "ISSUES WITH JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL": No, but it`s mesmerizing, and that`s why the entire world is watching. It`s like watching a train wreck in slow motion.

And I really think that this goes beyond even addiction at this point to mental illness. There are people, psychiatrists and doctors, who are looking at this and saying this is manic depressive or bipolar.

And he`s having a manic grandiose episode where you do get a sense of superiority, get a sense that you can do no wrong. You cannot see yourself objectively, and this appears to be what he`s doing. So I am really worried this guy is mentally ill.

ANDERSON: I am, too. What`s going to happen when he comes down from this state?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Yes.

ANDERSON: I am terrified. And the people around him are just egging him on. And for Charlie, it really appears that all he`s concerned about right now is cashing in on the train wreck, as Jane put it, that he has become.

Watch what he said on his Web cast when he was complimented about how brilliant his webisodes are.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SHEEN: Yes. No. It`s radical. It`s radical. And the people are doing exactly what they should be doing, which is watching me and listening to you, because we have all the answers. We have all the goal. We have all the solution, Bob.

And keep in mind, anytime I roll something out, my plan is the best one in the room. And people are starting to wake up and realize that. But their plan is (EXPLETIVE DELETED) and my plan is gold. Walk into my plan and you`re going to win, win, win.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: OK, winner - "Winner.com."

SHEEN: "Winner.com." Winner, winner, chicken dinner. I don`t think so. Winner, winner, Sheen dinner.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: There`s nothing brilliant about any of his webisodes. And Michael, I do not think the reality has even sunk in yet with him that he`s fired from his job, a job where he was making nearly $2 million per episode.

MICHAEL BILLY, TV AND RADIO HOST: Yes.

ANDERSON: It`s unbelievable. When is it going to sink in with him?

BILLY: That`s the dangerous thing right here. Think about it this way. For other people, it`s your wife leaves you, your kids left you. For Charlie, those things have happened. He`s lost his job. If he doesn`t see that is not winning, this man has six months to a year. This is the cancer, Charlie. This is cancer to the very definition of it. Six months to a year. He needs to get out of this.

ANDERSON: Well, he obviously hasn`t recognized it. Somebody is going to, I think, have to forcefully pull him out of this and get him some help. And he seems to be taking this whole endorsement business quite seriously, too. Check out what he did on his new Web cast.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SHEEN: I`m going to drink the secret elixir down below the frame line. It`s awesome. Awesome. It`s the best drink in the world. But what is it? I won`t show it because I haven`t been paid for it.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: I don`t even know what to say. Jane, does it surprise you that some businesses are potentially willing to put their reputations on the line considering just how erratic Charlie Sheen has been? Who would want to be associated with that?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I can`t imagine. And when I hear secret elixir - he`s obviously an addict - I`m thinking booze. I`m wondering if this guy has slipped in a big way.

And if he is having bipolar, manic episodes and drinking and using drugs, that is truly a prescription for disaster and life-threatening. So I`m wondering when he dips down the reason he doesn`t want us to see the label - could that be because it`s Cuervo Gold.

ANDERSON: It`s something more than a soda.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Not to use that brand name, but alcohol.

ANDERSON: Yes. Well, Charlie may have to depend on his new ventures a lot, because it does appear that Warner Brothers is moving fast to replace on "Two and a Half Men."

According to brand-new reports today, the creator of the show, Chuck Lorre, has been talking to actor Rob Lowe about replacing Charlie.

Lowe`s spokesperson gave us a no-comment. But I`ve got to tell you there are some other names being tossed into the ring, which leads me to our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll, and that is this - "Charlie Sheen Fired from Two and a Half Men: Who should replace him?" John Stamos, Robert Downey, Jr. or nobody, cancel the show.

We want you all to weigh in at CNN.com/ShowbizTonight. The fact is, nobody is irreplaceable and Charlie Sheen needs to realize that very quickly. Jane Velez-Mitchell, Michael Billy, thank you both. Good to see you.

We`ve got an amazing SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsmaker coming up. I`m going one- on-one with the reporter who spoke with Charlie Sheen right after he was fired from "Two and a Half Men." And how does Charlie`s public meltdown compare to other star meltdowns like Mel Gibson`s?

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

MEL GIBSON, ACTOR: I don`t need medication. Give me a (EXPLETIVE DELETED) on the side of the head, all right? How about that?

(END AUDIO CLIP)

ANDERSON: We are heading to the magic wall for our celebrity meltdown showdown.

Lesbians mad at Justin Bieber? The unbelievable new reason today why some lesbians are upset with the Bieb.

And the question that the best scientists in the world have not been able to answer - why are the Kardashians famous? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dares to explain them. That is next. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Police say no drugs or alcohol were involved in David Arquette`s car crash. "SNL" with Miley Cyrus as host gets second highest ratings of the season.

(SINGING)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DEMI LOVATO, SINGER AND ACTRESS: I read all of the tweets, the trending topics and the fan mail. And your support is what got me through this, so I couldn`t be more thankful for everything that you guys sent me.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: She looks healthy. Demi Lovato`s brand-new dramatic message to her fans. Demi is speaking out for the very first time since getting treatment for emotional and physical problems.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in New York. Hey, Demi, who is a big Disney Channel star, shocked everybody when she quit touring with the Jonas Brothers last fall.

She tells her fans in the video, quote, "I was dealing with issues I know not only girls just my age but all ages are dealing with. I can`t tell you how much light you guys brought into my life in probably the darkest time of my life."

Lovato got out of an inpatient facility in January. She hints that she`s got some projects cooking. Good for her.

All right. And now, a SHOWBIZ special report explaining the Kardashians. It is the question that has stumped Hollywood - why are the Kardashians famous? Is it because of Kim`s sex tape? Is it because of the family`s reality shows? Or could it be because of, dare I say, Paris Hilton?

In a SHOWBIZ special report, we reveal, once and for all, why in the world the Kardashians are so popular. Here`s CNN.com`s entertainment editor, Katie Caperton for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

KATIE CAPERTON, ENTERTAINMENT EDITOR, CNN.COM (on camera): It is total Kardashian domination all over pop culture. But for a lot of people, you have no clue why they`re famous. I think I have made a career out of explaining who the Kardashians are.

Where in the world did these Kardashians come from? They didn`t pop out of nowhere. The first Kardashian that we ever knew about was obviously the father, Robert Kardashian.

He was the famous attorney for O.J. Simpson, a good friend of O.J. Simpson as well. Robert Kardashian gets married to Kris Jenner. They have the four kids together. They have Khloe, Kim, Kourtney and Robert, Jr.

Kris Kardashian and Robert Kardashian split up. She goes on to marry the gold medalist, Bruce Jenner. He has his own set of kids. And they get together and they have the Brady bunch reality TV type of family. They have two more daughters together, Kendall and Kylie.

Cut until 2006, about six months after Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson split up, we see Nick Lachey out with the first girl he ever dated since the divorce. And every tabloid editor, myself included, scrambling trying to find, you know, who is this girl?

Here he is with this gorgeous, buxom, beautiful, dark-haired girl. And then, boom, the next year, in 2007, she gets her own reality show with the family. So what happened in between them?

Kim Kardashian became really good friends with the ultimate celebrity for the sake of being a celebrity, Paris Hilton. When Paris went to a night club, there was Kim Kardashian right next to her.

So we would see her at movie premiers and red carpets. She was always very chatty, really friendly with the press. Ends up getting her own reality show with her entire family.

"Keeping Up with the Kardashians" was a runaway hit. The ratings were huge. Everybody loved it. People started talking about it. If you watch the show, they`re pretty open about their own problems. They`re open about dating guy and having issues and fighting with each other.

So while their lives are completely ridiculous and nothing like my life and your life, they`re sort of relatable in a weird way.

Because "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" was such a hit, you had a couple different spin-offs. You had "Kourtney and Khloe Go to Miami." Now, you`ve got "Kim and Kourtney Go to New York."

Now, Khloe and her husband, Lamar Odom, are going to get their own show, looking at their first year of marriage. If you look at some of the people they`ve dated, Kim Kardashian`s ex, Ray J., the guy she made a sex tape with - he had his own reality show. I think he was "Looking for Love."

You`ve got Bruce Jenner, who is Kim`s stepfather - his son from a previous relationship, Brody Jenner. And Brody Jenner became really famous on "The Hills."

So many spin-offs from this one reality show because these girls and their lives are sort of addictive. But that really does explain why they`re so famous. They`ve got their brand out there all over the place.

And they really do. They sing for themselves for a little bit. You know, while this doesn`t look like a job to you or to me, it doesn`t seem like hard work necessarily, they are working for it. They`re famous for a reason.

Are they ever going to go away? That`s another question I hear a lot. No, they`re not. How do we talk about Kim Kardashian for 30 minutes and not talk about her butt?

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: All right. That was "CNN.com`s" Katie Caperton for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. And by the way, the "Hollywood Reporter" says that the Kardashian family - listen to this - that they earned about $65 million last year. So whatever they`re doing, it`s working.

OK. It is getting really hot in here and that is because the "Showbiz on Call" phone lines are on fire today after I told you about Sarah Palin`s shocking new attack on Kathy Griffin because Kathy has been going after Palin`s kids.

Damarrion from Tennessee says making fun of the kids is A-OK.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

DAMARRION, CALLER FROM TENNESSEE: I feel if she puts them on TV, they`re fair game. If you have don`t want anyone talking about them, why are you parading them on TV?

(END AUDIO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Thanks, Damarrion. Now, Ron calling into "Showbiz on Call" from Michigan says leave Palin kids alone.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

RON, CALLER FROM MICHIGAN: I`m a huge fan of Kathy Griffin, but I do think that when it comes to children under the age 18, she needs to back off. You know, it`s OK with Bristol. Bristol is over 18, but children under the age of 18 - Kathy needs to back off a little bit.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Thank you, Ron. I completely agree with you. All right. You`ve got to stick around for this amazing SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsmaker interview. I`m going one-on-one with the reporter who spoke with Charlie Sheen right after he was fired from "Two and a Half Men." Wait until you hear what Charlie told him after he got canned.

Lady Gaga`s breast milk battle today. Why Gaga is threatening to sue over breast milk.

And next, an explosive, brand-new royal scandal involving Sarah Ferguson and a convicted pedophile. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Emma Watson taking a break from college to focus on her film career. Gary Oldman on "Batman" director Christopher Nolan and new "Batman" movie.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GARY OLDMAN, ACTOR: When it starts this year, shooting this year - it is a fantastic story, and it may have even outdone "The Dark Knight."

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Look at this. Prince William and Kate Middleton flip some pancakes. Did you see this? The husband-and-wife-to-be made a surprise trip to Northern Ireland. Hopefully, we`ll get to that pancake. There it is.

It just so happened to be Pancake Day. So if they get tired of being royals, I guess that William and Kate can work at the IHOP.

I`m going to be in London for their big royal wedding on April 29th and the week leading up to it. We are teaming up with "People" magazine for the very best coverage of the wedding. So keep it right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT and HLN.

And while William and Kate are flipping pancakes, the royal family is flipping out over a new scandal involving that trouble-prone Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson.

Ferguson, the ex-wife of Prince Andrew, who is Prince William`s uncle, admits she accepted a loan from American billionaire Jeffrey Epstein.

Here`s the problem. Turns out Epstein was recently locked up for soliciting minors for prostitution. As you can imagine, the duchess accepting money from a pedophile is a huge controversy in the U.K.

"Pop Eater" columnist, Rob Shuter, joins me here in New York with the insight on this royal scandal.

OK. Sarah Ferguson says she did not know Epstein was a sex offender when she accepted his money, thank goodness. She`s apologizing, promises to give the money back.

Rob, is it me - and you know Fergie personally, but is it me or does trouble just seem to follow her wherever she goes?

ROB SHUTER, COLUMNIST, "POPEATER.COM": Trouble does find her. There`s no doubt about that. But it all relates back to money. The duchess is broke. She really needs to earn some money. So often, trouble reaches her when she`s looking for ways to make money.

ANDERSON: Yes. She`s getting desperate -

SHUTER: Absolutely.

ANDERSON: Trying to get out of the hole financially.

SHUTER: (INAUDIBLE), just a year ago, she was in court trying to sell access to her ex -

ANDERSON: To Prince Andrew.

SHUTER: Ex-husband, the prince. This was terrible. I mean, you`d assume she`d learned her lesson and she wouldn`t make any more mistakes. Now, a year later, we find out she borrowed money from a pedophile.

ANDERSON: Oh, it`s terrible.

SHUTER: It`s terrible.

ANDERSON: And there are reports that William and Kate did not invite -

SHUTER: Did not invite her.

ANDERSON: Fergie to the royal wedding.

SHUTER: Absolutely.

ANDERSON: And I`ve got to think her inability to stay out of trouble has something to do with that and they can`t trust her.

SHUTER: It does. Also, they don`t want any distractions. If she did go, she`d be a terrible distraction. She`s not even going to be in the country.

ANDERSON: They don`t want anything -

SHUTER: She`s going to be here in America.

ANDERSON: To cast a shadow.

SHUTER: Absolutely.

ANDERSON: All right. Rob Shuter from "PopEater.com," good to see you. Thank you.

And now, the SHOWBIZ lineup - here`s what`s coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

The celebrity meltdown showdown. Mel Gibson`s very public meltdown, Britney Spears, even Jon Gosselin. How do their meltdowns compare to Charlie Sheen`s? That`s next.

Lesbians mad at Bieber? The unbelievable new reason why some lesbians are upset with the Bieb today.

And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT breaks news. "Red Riding Hood" star, Amanda Seyfried, reveals if she was really naked during an interview with Justin Timberlake. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Warner Bros. to offer movies digitally through Facebook. Mark Zuckerberg creates Facebook page for his new puppy!

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Big news breaking today on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT - Charlie Sheen firing secrets. A headline-making SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsmaker interview with the reporter who spoke with Charlie right after he was fired from "Two and a Half Men." And you think Charlie`s rant was bad?

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

GIBSON: I don`t need medication. Give me a (EXPLETIVE DELETED) on the side of the head, all right? How about that?

(END AUDIO CLIP)

ANDERSON: How does Charlie`s meltdown compare with other stars`? It`s the great celebrity meltdown showdown.

Lesbians versus Justin Bieber? You won`t believe why a group of lesbians are mad at the Bieb.

Lady Gaga`s bad romance with breast milk ice cream. Why Gaga is furious about ice cream made from breast milk.

Plus, breaking today from the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker," the return of Kate Gosselin and "Grey`s Anatomy, The Musical"?

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC)

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m Brooke Anderson in New York with big news breaking today - breaking Sheen news.

On the heels of the news that Warner Brothers has fired Charlie Sheen from "Two and a Half Men," we have a SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsmaker with NBC News correspondent, Jeff Rossen.

Jeff spoke with Charlie just moments after he found out he has been canned. Jeff spent all last week with Charlie and has the exclusive, behind-the- scenes story. What does Jeff think of Charlie`s erratic behavior?

Does he think that Charlie is on another bender? I asked him tonight in a SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsmaker interview.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: Jeff, you spoke with Charlie Sheen right after he found out the news that Warner Brothers fired him. And the reaction that we`ve seen is that he`s happy. He`s relieved. Good riddance. But what was Charlie`s reaction to you about getting axed?

JEFF ROSSEN, NBC NEWS CORRESPONDENT: Yes. We spoke just minutes after he got word that he was fired. And by the way, he said he wasn`t even called by Warner Brothers. He was just told by his lawyers because they got the letter in the mail. And so he was angry about that.

But he did say - I am quoting here - this is the great quote. He said, "This is great. I didn`t like that show anyway or those dumb bowling shirts they made me wear. Now, I`m free. Free at last."

That was Charlie`s immediate comment to me right after he was fired.

ANDERSON: Oh, it is truly unexplainable, his reaction. Jeff, you spent quite a bit of time with Charlie Sheen just as his meltdown, really, was going public. Your interview on NBC`s "Today" really gave us an astonishing look into what`s being going through Charlie`s mind.

ROSSEN: Thank you.

ANDERSON: I want to, now, take a look at part of your interview with Charlie when you really grill him about his drug use.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ROSSEN: The first question America wants to know, are you clean right now?

SHEEN: Look at me. Duh. Drug tests don`t lie.

ROSSEN: When was the last time you did drugs?

SHEEN: Don`t remember. Don`t care. Drug tests don`t lie. Scoreboard doesn`t lie.

ROSSEN: You say you`ve cured yourself -

SHEEN: Yes.

ROSSEN: Of addiction.

SHEEN: Yes. (INAUDIBLE) Alcoholics Anonymous.

ROSSEN: How have you done that?

SHEEN: I closed my eyes and made it so with the power of my mind. I had to unload 22 years of fiction.

ROSSEN: What kind of fiction?

SHEEN: The fiction of AA. It`s a silly book written by a broken down fool.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Jeff, at that point, people were convinced - convinced the guy was still using. He showed you a drug test that proved he was clean. But do you think there`s more to this story?

ROSSEN: Yes. Look, I think there is more to the story. It`s important to know that was taped about a week ago. And I do believe I spent most of last week with Charlie, almost every single day, probably a little more than 10 hours in total.

And my impression - again, I`m not an addiction specialist by any stretch. My impression was that he was clean, lucid off camera and on camera. He said some wild things, but they were lucid thoughts.

He reacted to my questions well. Just watching him walk around the house, even when the cameras weren`t rolling, he appeared clean to me. He smoked a lot and he seemed to be drinking a lot of soda and chocolate milk and water.

Different story though to this week, right? I mean, I haven`t been with him in a couple of days. We`ve seen this wacky Web casts he`s been doing. And you know what? A lot of experts say they`re not so sure now whether he`s on drugs again.

So my impression of him last week - probably clean. This week, I don`t know.

ANDERSON: Yes. He seems to be getting more and more agitated. Who knows what`s going on? He also told you that he really likes his fans and thanks them for their support. Ad not to worry about Charlie Sheen, he will not let his fans down. That`s what he said.

All right. Jeff Rossen, good to see you. Thanks so much.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

All right. Charlie`s Web episode on "Sheen`s Korner" is causing even more concern today. His behavior, erratic and, frankly, very scary. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SHEEN: I`m going to reach out to - who is the founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos? Is that his name?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes.

SHEEN: Yes. I`m going to reach out to him and say, I think we should do my book, incidentally, the title - bestselling of all time, "Apocalypse Me: The Jaws of Life."

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Yes. That`s not the best title. I want to bring in Jane Velez- Mitchell, host of "ISSUES WITH JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL."

Jane, we just heard NBC`s Jeff Rossen say he`s not so sure Charlie`s clean anymore. I`m not so sure either. What`s your impression?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, we don`t know, but there`s a couple of possibilities. One, that he started using again, either drugs and/or alcohol. The other is that he`s mentally ill and he`s having a manic episode with the grandiosity that comes with it.

And the other possibility is that he is white-knuckling it and that`s going to make him very desperate and edgy. And white-knuckling is a phrase we use in recovery is when you`re not emotionally sober.

You`re not working a program of sobriety. You`re` not entering a spiritual program. You`re simply white-knuckling it, saying, "I`m not going to use." And it does make one very tense and edgy, because you`re trying to use your will power not to do the drugs.

ANDERSON: Yes.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: So that`s what it makes you look like and that`s kind of what he looks like.

ANDERSON: But he cured it with his brain, Jane. He cured it with his brain. All right. The big questions today, is Charlie really having a meltdown? And how does Charlie`s very public unraveling compare to other headline-making star meltdowns?

Well, here I am now at the wall of celebrity meltdowns to figure it out. And you know what? Aside from Charlie Sheen, Britney Spears is on this wall because she`s a big contender.

Remember when she shaved her head, attacked paparazzi with an umbrella? She had a major meltdown. Since then, fortunately, she has been able to get her life back in order, so we`re proud of her.

Mel Gibson also on this list. There he is. We cannot forget all of those awful alleged phone calls that he made to his ex, Oksana Grigorieva. If you`ve forgotten, here`s a refresher.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

GIBSON: I don`t need medication. Give me a (EXPLETIVE DELETED) on the side of the head, all right? How about that?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: That is rough. Next up, who can forget this face? That`s TLC star - former TLC reality star, Jon Gosselin from "Jon and Kate Plus 8." He`s also on this meltdown wall.

Remember the ugly divorce, the trail of mad girlfriends, the angry public statements about his ex Kate Gosselin? A pretty bad meltdown there from Jon Gosselin.

And then we`ve got - oh yes, David Arquette. He called into Howard Stern`s XM Sirius satellite radio show and really revealed all about his marital problems to Courteney Cox. Listen.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

DAVID ARQUETTE, ACTOR: After the first girl I slept with, I like - you know, a few days later I was like, you know, crying, you know. I know, that`s not very sexy.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Yes. No, no, no. Not very sexy at all. Here they are again. We`re lining them up. Michael Billy, TV and radio show host, when you look at Charlie`s meltdown next to all the other big celebrity meltdowns, who is the worst?

BILLY: I`m going to have to say Charlie. Charlie is the perfect case study for what social media is right now. He has access to broadcast 24 hours a day. We never saw that with any of the other celebs.

Mel Gibson and the others were photography. It was phone calls. But this guy is going right to the screen, right into people`s houses at any time he wants to.

ANDERSON: Jane, take a close look. Charlie Sheen, Britney Spears, Mel Gibson, Jon Gosselin, David Arquette. Who is the worst to you?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Such a tough call. I`d have to still go with Mel Gibson. The sum total of his alleged, sexist, racist, anti-Semitic rants, just so vile, so angry, so filled with rage, so terrorizing, attacking a woman.

And he`s never come out and a said flat-out, "That ain`t me." I`m voting for Mel Gibson.

ANDERSON: All right. Michael Billy, very quickly, who do you think has bounced back the best? I don`t think Mel has bounced back just yet. Charlie certainly has not. But out of the others, if had you to pick?

BILLY: First of all, Jon Gosselin is not a star. But if I`m going to pick somebody, I`m going to have to pick Britney Spears.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Yes. Me, too.

BILLY: Britney Spears - biggest comeback.

ANDERSON: Yes. And I can`t wait for her new album. Jane Velez-Mitchell, Michael Billy, thanks, guys. We appreciate it.

All right. Lesbians versus Justin Bieber? Yes, a group of lesbians, apparently furious with the Biebs today. And you won`t believe what he did to make them mad.

Lady Gaga`s bad romance with breast milk ice cream? Gaga is furious about ice cream made from breast milk. Really? And Gary Busey the stripper?

(MUSIC)

Yes, that`s "Celebrity Apprentice" star, Gary Busey, doing little dirty dancing. I`m going to play much more of this for you, coming up. You don`t want to miss it. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: New episodes of "Kate Plus 8" to air on TLC beginning April 4th. Katy Perry covers Lady Gaga`s "Born This Way" at Paris concert.

(MUSIC)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in New York.

Does Megan Fox have an eating disorder? Lily Allen reveals her painful batting with an eating disorder. And Lady Gaga puts the freeze on breast milk ice cream. It`s all making big news in "The Buzz Today."

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) Gaga`s scoops of outrage. Lady Gaga just unleashed a huge legal smackdown against an ice cream parlor using her name to sell a flavor made from, yes, human breast milk.

Lady G thinks the flavor named "Baby Gaga" is, well, gross. Her lawyers are blasting London`s the Icecreamists sending a letter demanding they stop using her name calling the concoction, quote, "deliberately provocative and, to many people, nausea-inducing."

Lily Allen`s bulimia bombshell. Lily Allen has just opened up for the very first time about her secret battle with an eating disorder.

In a brand-new interview for an upcoming British documentary, Lily reveals, quote, "I used to vomit after meals. I thought I looked good and it was great to be able to try on clothes and feel like a million dollars. But I wasn`t happy. I really wasn`t."

Does Megan Fox have an eating disorder? In a brand-new Armani ad campaign, Fox appears to be frighteningly thin. But in a brand-new interview with "HollywoodLife.com," Fox`s trainer, Harley Pasternak, declared Fox absolutely does not have an eating disorder.

He says she actually struggles to keep weight on and has a really fast metabolism. He adds, quote, "People thought, `Oh, she must be anorexic,` but she`s far from that. She gets frustrated at times because she`s like, `I need to put on weight.` So she actually weight trains to keep on that lean muscle tissue."

And now to the biggest star showdown to hit Hollywood in ages - I`m talking lesbians versus Justin Bieber. There`s an angry revolt brewing amongst some lesbian fans of the pop singer or Biebians, as they`re called, over his new haircut.

The site, "Lesbians Who Look Like Justin Bieber," features pictures sent in by women who resemble the teen pop star. Now, the site`s creator says there`s big, big backlash against Bieber`s new look.

Dannielle Owens-Reid is the founder of "Lesbians Who Look Like Justin Bieber." She joins me from Boston for a SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview. Am I talking to Dannielle or am I talking to Justin Bieber?

DANNIELLE OWENS-REID, FOUNDER, "LESBIANS WHO LOOK LIKE JUSTIN BIEBER": It`s Dannielle.

ANDERSON: Hi, Dannielle. Thanks for joining us. Hey, I want to say flat- out, I like his new haircut. I want to take a look at the Biebs now versus the Biebs then. The side-swept bangs are now gone. They`re replaced by a more spiky `do.

But Dannielle, you say there`s not a whole lot of love for the new haircut on your site, "Lesbians Who Look Like Justin Bieber." Dannielle, why are the Biebians, as you call them, not responding to or copying the new hairdo?

OWENS-REID: Well, here`s the thing. We`re never going to not love Justin Bieber, but it`s kind of like a silent treatment anger, you know. It`s like, I`m not going to cut my hair just because you do. This is my hair. I still look the way that you looked a couple years ago, and I`m going to go with it.

ANDERSON: Well, you even say that you aren`t a big fan of Justin Bieber`s new haircut, right? Why not?

OWENS-REID: Well, I just - OK, I understand he wants to be more mature. He`s got a new girlfriend. He`s growing up, I get all that, but it`s making my job a little bit harder, because, now, I have to decide, am I going to do the swoopy(ph) or am I going to do the spiky?

And like, what do I have more of? And am I going to mix it up? I was just like, you know, I just want to, you know, make it easy.

ANDERSON: It`s too much - it`s too much to think about. All right. Well, you know, Dannielle -

OWENS-REID: It`s (INAUDIBLE).

ANDERSON: Not everybody hates the Bieb`s new haircut. When he unveiled it last month on Ellen DeGeneres` talk show, Ellen raved about it. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ELLEN DEGENERES, HOST, "THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW": Oh, you`ve got a brand- new haircut. I love it! Don`t you love his haircut?

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

JUSTIN BIEBER, POP STAR: Thank you. I was inspired by yours.

DEGENERES: By my haircut?

BIEBER: By yours.

DEGENERES: And I like it, because you can`t do the same thing over and over again.

BIEBER: Exactly.

DEGENERES: You`ve got to change it up, and I think it`s great. I love your haircut.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Yes. Now, his haircut kind of looks like Ellen DeGeneres`. Safe to say, Ellen likes the `do. Bieber`s a young guy, 17. He`s going to have a lot of different hair styles.

Dannielle, the question for your site is, do you think that you and your Biebians are going to have to change your locks along with Bieber to really stay true fans?

OWENS-REID: Well, honestly I think it`s probably like a generational thing, you know, like his hair now is getting more like Ellen`s so he can get some of the lesbians to look like Ellen.

And as he gets older, it`s kind of like that one blog, "Old Men Who Look Like Lesbians." It`s like there are always going to be people who relate, but I can put up.

ANDERSON: I have never heard of these blogs, but now I know. Dannielle, did you ever expect that your site would become such a sensation?

OWENS-REID: Honestly, I had no idea. I thought it was funny between me and a few friends. And then, it just kind of exploded and I`m totally OK with that.

ANDERSON: You know what? You wear the swoop well. Can I see the move? Do you have the move where you can get it out of your face like Bieber?

OWENS-REID: OK, I do it a little differently. It`s like every Biebian has to have their own thing. So I`m kind of like - I shake it and then move it on over, you know.

ANDERSON: All right. You`ve got to perfect it in your own way. Dannielle Owen-Reid, thank you very much. Good to see you. Take care.

OWEN-REID: Absolutely. You, too.

ANDERSON: All right. Moving now to Gary Busey on a stripper pole? Disturbing.

(MUSIC)

I wonder if this dance will get Gary fired from "Celebrity Apprentice." Why Gary`s gone wild. That`s next.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Country singer, Blake Shelton, named fourth judge on NBC`s "The Voice." Ellen Pompeo talks about "Grey`s Anatomy" upcoming musical episode.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ELLEN POMPEO, ACTRESS: It is, but I don`t want to give too much away. But the way it unfolds isn`t typical. I mean, there is some singing and dancing, but basically, we`re taking songs that the show has made famous, like "The Fray" and "Chasing Cars" and those kinds of songs, and we`re singing them.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: I really look forward to that. All right. Now, the SHOWBIZ buzz list. Here`s what the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT staff is buzzing about this week.

We are loving "The Chicago Code," Mondays on Fox. It stars Jennifer Beals - yes, Jennifer Beals from "Flash Dance."

Also, Android-based smart phones are kicking some butt. They`re reportedly selling better than phones running Blackberry and iPhone platforms.

We`re really bopping our heads to Willow`s Smith`s new song, "21st Century Girl," and the video, too. The single drops March 1st.

Our favorite new e-book, "Snooki in Wonderland," of course. It`s "Jersey Shore" meets "Alice in Wonderland." And some on the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT staff just can`t get enough of the tots with `tudes in TLC`s "Toddlers with Tiaras." Our favorite pageant tot - Mackenzie. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE CHILD: No, I`m not doing that. I`m not doing that. No, I can`t do that. No, I`m not going to do that. I`m sorry. You are driving me nuts.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(MUSIC)

ANDERSON: I`m sorry to subject you to this. Did you see it? "Celebrity Apprentice" star, Gary Busey hamming it up on a stripper pole in Vegas. What`s he doing there?

Well, TMZ reports Gary was just doing a little Busey boogie at a "Celebrity Apprentice" cast party. I think Gary Busey and Charlie Sheen could be really good friends.

And speaking of Charlie, there have been so many spoofs of him, but which one do you like best?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JIMMY FALLON, HOST, "LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON": Duh, winning. Adonis DNA. I`m a bitching rock star. Blood of a tiger. I`m like Zeus in a Speedo. He only drug I`m on is Charlie Sheen.

JERRY O`CONNELL, COMEDIAN: My father was "Apocalypse Now." Winning. Duh. Tiger Blood. And I`ve got it through my mind.

BILL HADER, CAST MEMBER, "SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE": I lost my job, too. Now, I can do whatever I want. You know, I can do "Major League 3," "Hot Shots Part Quatro." I`m really excited about this "Platoon 2: Electric Platoonaloo."

ANDERSON: That`s Bill Hader on "SNL," Jerry O`Connell and Jimmy Fallon. We had to put this to a vote, so we asked you to chime in via text message and Facebook.

Check it out. It is a landslide. You say NBC`s late night host, Jimmy Fallon, does the best Charlie Sheen impression. He`s "winning" this one.

I loved Fallon. I loved Jerry O`Connell, but if I had to pick, I think I would go with "SNL`s" Bill Hader. He was excellent, too.

All right. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT breaks big news today with Amanda Seyfried. This is about her naked interview with Justin Timberlake.

Timberlake spoke with Seyfried over the phone for a cover story in "Interview" magazine. And she sort of suggested that she was comfortably lounging in her birthday suit.

So when we caught up with Amanda while she was out plugging her new movie, "Red Riding Hood," we had to ask, naked or not?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

AMANDA SEYFRIED, ACTRESS: I wasn`t naked during the interview.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: No.

SEYFRIED: But I`m really glad. I`m hoping it sold more issues because I said that. I really was just joking. It really wasn`t something I thought twice about, because Justin and I, you know - we`ve been working together for two months that the point.

And we knew each other really well. We had - we had a rapport at that point. And so when we were talking, I was like - I think I should mention, by the way, I`m not wearing clothes. And it was totally false.

ANDERSON: So it was just a joke. Amanda`s new movie "Red Riding Hood," opens in theaters on Friday. And that is a wrap for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Thank you so much for watching. I`m Brooke Anderson in New York.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is live at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Monday through Friday. And don`t forget we are still TV`s most provocative entertainment news show seven days a week. That`s at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and pacific.

I also want to remind you I will be in London the week leading up to Prince William and Kate Middleton`s royal wedding. It takes place April 29th. We`re teaming up with "People" magazine for the very best coverage. So keep it right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT and HLN.
