DIAZ: Hello. I`m Carlos Diaz. Big breaking news today - obsessed. Tonight, the endless fascination with the Casey Anthony murder trial is boiling over.

It is truly a heartbreaking courtroom drama that`s playing out like a tragic, made-for-Hollywood movie. The accused, a troubled young mother. The witnesses, crying grandparents. And the victim, a little girl whose sweet face has captured the hearts of our nation.

The frenzy over this trial has replaced the biggest stars on the magazine covers. And somehow, the interest is only gaining speed. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the real-life "Law and Order."

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) Combine the addictiveness of the O.J. Simpson trial and with the dramatic twists and turns of an entire season of "Law and Order" and the heavy news coverage of a war zone, and you have the trial of Casey Anthony.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: A jury in Orlando is going to have to decide if the defendant, Casey Anthony, who you see here, killed her two-year-old daughter, Caylee, and buried her in the woods.

DIAZ: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you the Casey Anthony trial, now in its ninth day, is dominating TV from morning -

MEREDITH VIEIRA, CO-HOST, THE "TODAY" SHOW: The explosive developments in the Casey Anthony murder trial.

DIAZ: Until night.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And some major drama in the Casey Anthony trial today -

DIAZ: You can find it splashed all over Web pages and magazine pages. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is asking, what is it about this Casey Anthony trial that has everyone so riveted?

BONNIE FULLER, EDITOR-IN-CHIEF, "HOLLYWOODLIFE.COM": That`s what makes it so fascinating. People wonder, could the family next door be like this? I mean, it just gets more and more bizarre.

DIAZ: Today, everyone is talking about those fascinating recordings of Casey Anthony`s conversations with her parents as she sat in jail in 2008.

CASEY ANTHONY, MURDER SUSPECT: My heart is aching because I just want to be back with our family until we`re going to see Caylee. I know she`s coming home. I can feel it.

DIAZ: More replayed at the trial and on live TV today, including one where Casey appears to scoff at a rumor that`s now the center of her defense, that little Caylee drowned in the family`s pool.

C. ANTHONY: Someone just said that Caylee was dead this morning, that she drowned in the pool. That`s the newest story out there. Surprise, surprise.

DIAZ: Even before today` developments, the Casey Anthony trial had tons of gasp-worthy moments that shocked viewers watching this trial on their TVs and computers.

There are those explosive recordings of her interrogation by police detectives -

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What happened to Caylee?

C. ANTHONY: I don`t know. I don`t know.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Sure you do. You need to tell us. Something happened to Caylee. The longer this goes, the worse it`s going to be for everyone. Everyone. The worse it`s going to be for everyone. Right now, everything you told us we`ve locked you into a lie.

DIAZ: Her attorney`s shocking allegations that her father abused her as a child, allegations he denies.

JOSE BAEZ, CASEY ANTHONY`S DEFENSE ATTORNEY: Her father came into her room and began to touch her inappropriately.

DIAZ: Plus, the many, many lies that even Casey Anthony`s own attorneys admit she told about her daughter`s disappearance.

LINDA DRANE BURDICK, ASSISTANT STATE ATTORNEY: When Casey Anthony`s lies can no longer stand, Casey Anthony comes up with a new, a bigger and a better lie.

DIAZ: And of course, the still unbelievable fact that likely made this case a national obsession, that this young mom lived it up and didn`t even report her daughter missing for a full month after Caylee disappeared.

FULLER: We have a (UNINTELLIGIBLE) baby and the moms are really fascinated by the case. And they just can`t comprehend how this could have happened and how this young woman could say that her daughter was missing for 31 days and she never reported it. DIAZ: At the center of this national obsession is the worst kind of tragedy -

(SINGING)

The death of a young child and the possibility that her own mother may have something to do with it.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

Clearly, all the elements are there for a truly heartbreaking story. But what is it about this case in particular that has America so upset?

Joining me tonight from New York is Midwin Charles, who is an attorney with Midwin Charles and Associates. Also in New York tonight, Sunny Hostin. Sunny is a legal contributor for "In Session" on our sister network, truTV.

Midwin, let`s start with you. Why do you think people are glued to the TV every twist and turn. They`re watching everything this trial has to do. Why are people so glued to this trial?

MIDWIN CHARLES, LEGAL CONTRIBUTOR, MIDWIN CHARLES AND ASSOCIATES: Well, I think, Carlos, this is one of those trials that just has the trappings of everything that makes it extraordinary.

You have a young child who died. You have a mother accused of killing her own child, which is always shocking for people. But then, you have sexual abuse.

You have grandparents who seem to not be acting in a manner you expect them to. And to make matters worse, you have this woman, a mother, who was partying, living la vida loca, dropping it like it`s hot, while her little girl was missing for over 30 days.

It just shocks the conscience and people just can`t get their arms around that.

HAMMER: Sunny, I`ve got to tell you, I watch you constantly in my office here at HLN because I`m obsessed with this as well. You`re doing a great job with the coverage.

SUNNY HOSTIN, LEGAL CONTRIBUTOR, "IN SESSION" ON TRU TV: Thank you.

DIAZ: Why do you think the obsession is there, Sunny?

HOSTIN: You know, I agree with Midwin. I mean, this is, I think, almost the train wreck or the car wreck phenomenon. We look when we see that at the side of the road.

Why do we look? We don`t want to look, but we look because we think it could be our neighbor. We think it could happen to you. And I think that`s part of it. This could be your next door neighbor. It could be anyone.

We`re talking about a middle class family from the outside. They have the trappings of love and a nice home, nice car. She`s a beautiful - Casey Anthony`s a beautiful girl. Caylee Anthony was a beautiful little girl.

You look at all of that and people really have connected with this. Carlos, I can`t begin to tell you the number of Facebook messages I get on a daily basis. I can`t begin to tell you the hundreds of E-mails I get from people - incest survivors. I get them from mothers. I get them from grandparents.

My own family is obsessed with this. It really has touched a chord with all of society. And I think that`s what it so shocking about this. People said initially this is going to be the new O.J. trial. I didn`t believe, Carlos, it but it is true.

DIAZ: Well, when it plays out in court, there`s so much drama in this case. And I agree with you. It`s going to keep getting bigger.

We`ve got to get to another big breaking story today. The Kelsey and Camille Grammer custody war is heating up. Now, according to documents obtained by TMZ, Kelsey wants to split up his kids taking primary custody of the couple`s six-year-old, Jude, in Chicago, and leaving their 9-year- old daughter, Mason, with Camille in California.

Now, Camille`s rep has not released a statement as of show time. But reports today tell "People.com" that Camille is fighting Kelsey tooth and nail and has filed for primary custody of both kids.

Kelsey`s rep tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, "Despite the fact that those connected with Camille Grammer seem to be hand-delivering confidential documents to TMZ and other media outlets, we will continue to not make public statements about their private matters which and apparently do beg for misinterpretation."

"There is no valid reason to drag the Grammer children into any media spotlight." I agree. These two children should not be put through a public battle. Midwin, how do you get two battling parents with high profiles to put their kids first and put down their weapons?

CHARLES: It`s very difficult. I mean, as an attorney, I counsel my clients and I always get them to remember, "Listen, it`s not about you. It`s not about winning. It`s about the kids."

It`s about the children. It`s about what`s best for them. It`s about their well being. They need to be in a loving environment, an environment that is warm and safe. They don`t need to be dragged around that way.

DIAZ: But Sunny, I mean, we have 30 seconds. I mean, you have two high-profile people. Can that be done with two stars?

HOSTIN: Well, it`s been done. It`s been done many, many times. And they do have to put the interest of the children first. And let`s face it, that`s a legal standard - what is in the best interest of the children.

I think it`s despicable, though, that Kelsey Grammer is suggesting that the children be separated from one another when their entire family now has been blown apart. And so that, in and of itself, tells me he`s not thinking about what`s in the best interest of his child.

DIAZ: Sunny Hostin, Midwin Charles, as always, great job, guys. Thank you so much.

All right. I just have to congratulate Kim Kardashian on her engagement. Wait, what`s that? Her entire proposal was caught on TV?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KRIS HUMPHRIES, NBA STAR AND KIM KARDASHIAN`S FIANCE: I wanted to come to you first.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Really? You`re getting that serious?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HUMPHRIES: Will you marry me?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: The great debate tonight. Should Kim K put Kris Humphries` proposal on her reality show? And John Edwards` new sex scandal nightmare.

Could the formal presidential candidate be in hot water for using campaign money to cover up himself affair? The SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - how much further can John Edwards fall?

Robin Williams on the Anthony Weiner scandal. You`ve got to see his no-holds-barred roast of the Congressman`s photo controversy.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOY BEHAR, HOST, "THE JOY BEHAR SHOW": The thing about him is that he was tweeting all these young girls. Maybe that`s a mistake.

ROBIN WILLIAMS, ACTOR: Just a touch.

BEHAR: So (UNINTELLIGIBLE) a congressman.

WILLIAMS: There`s nothing that goes unnoticed in this age. You know, you are a Congressman and the idea of that is so stupid.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Exactly. So Congressman, if that was you in the photo, Mrs. Doubtfire`s got your number. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Gisele Bundchen on track to become first billionaire supermodel. SHOWBIZ first look: "The Dark Knight Rises."

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

DIAZ: Rihanna`s new video controversy. Her new song, "Man Down," has her in the cross hairs of a new controversy after she shoots an abuser dead in her video. Rihanna says it`s art, but is she spinning this the wrong way?

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Carlos Diaz. Tonight, Rihanna`s big spin. The singer has been in major spin control since her video for her song, "Man Down," made its debut.

And tonight, we`re bringing in the SHOWBIZ spin doctor, Howard Bragman, who is the founder of "Fifteen Minutes Public Relations." Howard joins us tonight from Hollywood.

Howard, as resident spin doctor, we`re going to put you to the test tonight. We begin with Rihanna, who did respond to her critics with a series of tweets saying, "You can`t hide your kids from society or they`ll never learn how to adapt. This is the real world."

"The music industry isn`t exactly `Parents Are Us.` We have the freedom to make art. Let us. It`s your job to make sure they don`t turn out like us."

Wow. Now, Howard, if you were Rihanna`s publicist, how would you have suggested that she hand this will controversy? Spin it within a minute.

HOWARD BRAGMAN, FOUNDER, FIFTEEN MINUTES PUBLIC RELATIONS: I think Rihanna did a brilliant job of spinning it, Carlos, and I`ll tell you why.

Number one, we`ve got a launch of a new album coming up with a song that gets what I call a non-controversial controversy. Nobody`s hurt. Nobody`s going to jail. This is not a true controversy. It`s kind of a faux-controversy.

Number two, she`s right. It is artwork. You have to look no further than the evening news, the movie theater or a videogame to see all sorts of violence out there. Violence is part of our society.

And she even went further and said, "I`m not your role model. I`m 23 years old. I`m not your mother. I don`t have kids." And finally, what she did by saying this is art, she put the responsibility on the viewer as opposed to on herself. Brilliant job, Rihanna. Proud of you.

DIAZ: So Rihanna`s the Charles Barkley of the music world. What`s the bottom line here?

BRAGMAN: Parents, you`ve been warned.

DIAZ: All right. That`s the thing. I mean, I`ve always said when kids see a parental warning on a CD, you know, on a download, they`re going to go right to that.

All right. We`ve got to move on. Paris Hilton spin control. Paris was on "The View" this week promoting her new reality show "The World According to Paris."

And Barbara Walters totally challenged her about doing another reality show and not really following through on all the grand promises Paris made about turning her life around.

I mean, after all, it was Barbara Walters who interviewed Paris after Paris served jail time back in 2007 for a probation violation on a drunk- driving arrest. Watch what happened on "The View."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BARBARA WALTERS, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER AND CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": You were going to spend a lot of time helping fellow prisoners, especially women. Now, I know you`ve raised a lot of money for illnesses, but why haven`t you done more of that and less of this?

PARIS HILTON, REALITY TV STAR: I do charity work all the time. It`s something my family has brought me up to do and it`s showed in the show as well. I joke around.

WALTERS: You`ve told me and others I want to help, you know, prisoners.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Wow. A kind of a challenging, wishy-washy answer. Howard Bragman, spin it within a minute. How would you handle Paris?

BRAGMAN: Well, I would have made sure Paris was better prepared. You`re going to go to "The View." It`s going to be controversial. You have to look at what you said before.

I would have given Paris facts and figures to say, "I devoted this many hundreds of hours to charity, this many thousands of dollars. And here`s what I`ve done and understand that charity is charity and my reality show is entertainment. Sometimes there`s a crossover but they`re two different parts of my life."

DIAZ: Howard Bragman, thank you so much. Always a great job. All right. Even the spin doctor cannot get John Edwards out of this mess tonight.

The former presidential candidate who admitted to cheating on his wife is indicted for possibly covering up his affair with campaign money. The SHOWBIZ Flashpoint tonight, how far can John Edwards fall?

Blake Lively - caught nude? This gossip girl is on rumor control. Were the photos leaked? Or are the photos fake?

And another "Real Housewives" smackdown. This time, it`s all about sex, lies and the wives.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You were sleeping with another guy while you were (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: No, I wasn`t.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes, you were.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: No, I wasn`t.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Oh, my god.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Stop talking out your ass about everybody`s life.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Aren`t you glad I showed you that? There`s more "Real Housewives of Orange County" drama where that came from. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Martin Scorsese making film about Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton romance. Joe Jonas first solo single "See No More" debuts.

(MUSIC)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

DIAZ: Another brand-new "Real Housewives" smackdown. This time, it`s on the reunion of "The Real Housewives of Orange County."

You`ve got to see the all-out war that broke out between Tamra Barney and her fellow housewives. Sex, lies and, well, lots of screaming. Check out this preview that was just posted on "BravoTV.com."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: All five of us get together and it`s a different feel.

ANNOUNCER: Tonight, "The Real Housewives of Orange County" reunite.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: When I first met Alexis, I went up to Jim(ph)and I said, "Does Alexis know that we hang out?" He goes, "No, and she never will."

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: She`s lying.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I don`t think the way this went down was treated with class or with dignity.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: How did you see it?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You took a lot of crap from these two over the last few years and you were going to dish it out this season.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: If (UNINTELLIGIBLE) was rich, he wouldn`t marry her.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: He has a job.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: (UNINTELLIGIBLE) we have a job, too.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Oh, my gosh. Do you want my bank statement?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Oh, my god. Are you serious?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You`re as jealous as the (EXPLETIVE DELETED) that comes out of your mouth.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Do you know what it`s like to be around someone that can look you in the eye and say you`re lying.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You are lying.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: That was the end of our friendship.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You were sleeping with another guy.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: He was dying!

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I know you`re (EXPLETIVE DELETED) off everyone else, right?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: OK. OK.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes, walk away.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: (UNINTELLIGIBLE). You`re the lowest form of (EXPLETIVE DELETED) there is in the world.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: I`m sorry but there are about half a dozen classic lines in there. You can watch "The Real Housewives of Orange County" practically scratch each other`s eyes out this Sunday night on Bravo.

I have to say nothing fires up our Facebook wall like Donald Trump and Sarah Palin. We posted this question, "Trump Stumping for Palin: Are You Buying It?"

Sue S. writes, "Donald stumps for Palin. You have to wonder what`s the monetary value for him? He never does anything without a financial gain." Good point.

Yolanda J. writes, "Donald Trump and Sarah Palin? What a great pair starring in `Circus of the Stars.` Send in the clowns."

And now, the SHOWBIZ lineup - here`s what`s coming up at the bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Will Kim Kardashian show her engagement on her reality show?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HUMPHRIES: I wanted to come to you first.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Really? You`re getting that serious?

HUMPHRIES: Will you marry me?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: And that`s not the only controversy that`s put Kim K in the running to be named the most provocative celebrity of the week. Or could it be Donald Trump and Sarah Palin for teaming up over pizza? Or will it be Rihanna for shooting an abuser down in her brand-new music video.

And did Maksim from "Dancing with the Stars" just get engaged? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Heidi Klum to pose nude to promote "Project Runway`s" ninth season. Shania Twain gets star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

DIAZ: Big news breaking tonight on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT - John Edwards indicted. His shameful cheating scandal is now part of a big money federal probe. The SHOWBIZ great debate tonight, how far can John Edwards fall?

Kim Kardashian`s made for TV marriage? Was Kris Humphries` romantic proposal to Kim really caught on tape for her reality show?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HUMPHRIES: I wanted to come to you first.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Really? You`re getting that serious?

HUMPHRIES: Will you marry me?

DIAZ: The SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, so should Kim televise her proposal?

Blake Lively`s nude photo mystery. Is it her or isn`t it? Was she hacked or wasn`t she? Watch the naked truth tonight.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC)

DIAZ: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It`s 30 minutes past the hour. I`m Carlos Diaz, in for A.J. Hammer with big breaking news tonight - tell it to the judge.

John Edwards indicted tonight. Former political golden boy and presidential candidate, John Edwards, is in big legal trouble tonight. That headline-making affair with his former campaign aide, Rielle Hunter, could now land him in prison for 30 years.

A federal grand jury has just slapped Edwards with an indictment alleging he tried to use campaign money to cover up his infamous sex scandal. So just how much further is John Edwards going to fall?

Joining me right now in New York is Midwin Charles, who is an attorney with Midwin Charles and Associates.

Now, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has learned John Edwards faces six federal counts, all related to his scandalous affair. Just hours ago he spoke for the very first time about the charges. You`ve got to listen to this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

FMR. SEN. JOHN EDWARDS (D-NC): There`s no question that I`ve done wrong and I take full responsibility for having done wrong. And I will regret for the rest of my life the pain and the harm that I`ve cause others. But I did not break the law and I never, ever thought I was breaking the law.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

You take full responsibility after you got caught. Now, he sounds sincere in his regret, but I think a lot of people think it`s hard to believe someone who has already lied about an affair he had while his wife, Elizabeth, was dying of cancer.

Midwin, just how much further do you think John Edwards is going to fall now?

CHARLES: I don`t know. I mean, it doesn`t get any lower than this. Perhaps, of course, if he is found guilty by a jury or what have you - maybe that`s the lowest it can go.

But it`s funny as I heard him say, you know, "I did not violate the law." I hearken back to when he had that interview and said, "I did not have the affair with Rielle Hunter."

DIAZ: Right.

CHARLES: And so you always have to ask yourself if this is someone we can ever believe.

DIAZ: Yes, exactly. And I`m wondering if he`s going to say next there is no sex tape because SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you there could be yet another bombshell revelation in this epic sex scandal.

Reports are flying that a sex tape of John Edwards with his mistress is still out there and may end up being leaked any day. Midwin, is Edwards ever going to be able to put this sleazy chapter of his life behind him?

CHARLES: You know, I don`t know. This is one of those cases that just keeps on going. I mean, what legs this story has. I don`t know anyone who is going to be lining up to see that sex tape.

But you know, apart from that, he really is in a lot of trouble and it`s going to go on for quite some time. I`m surprised he wasn`t able to come up with some sort of plea agreement with the government before getting indicted.

HAMMER: It`s like one of those eerie movies in the `60s where you have the golden boy and life is just all big smiles. But behind the scenes, he`s doing things that are pretty dastardly, it looks like.

CHARLES: Oh, behind the scenes, he`s just shady. That`s all.

DIAZ: Exactly. You can`t get much more provocative than this John Edwards scandal. But he just missed the deadline to be considered for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s most provocative celebrity of the week by this much.

But the Kardashian clan - yes, they made the cut with the outrage over 15-year-old Kendall Jenner reportedly caught with birth control pills. And there`s a brand-new Kardashian controversy to keep up with tonight.

A new ad for the new season is out today and it all but promises that Kim Kardashian`s NBA fiance, Kris Humphries, is going to propose to her on camera. Watch this from "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: This season on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" -

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You`re going to Bora Bora, girls.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: That was a memorable vacation. It`s a huge test of your relationship.

HUMPHRIES: I wanted to come to you first.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Really? You`re getting that serious?

HUMPHRIES: Will you marry me?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Oh, my gosh. This is so manufactured. Please. It`s sickening. I want to bring in comedian Beth Littleford from Hollywood.

Beth, I get that reality shows have got to be outrageous. But does every private moment in the Kardashians` lives really have to play out on camera?

BETH LITTLEFORD, COMEDIAN: Nothing is sacred for these guys. If it doesn`t happen on TV, it doesn`t happen at all for the Kardashians.

I mean, she and her fiancee talk about wanting to have kids, I think we can expect an hour on the actual act of conception. I think we could look forward to that, you know? Really, nothing is sacred.

DIAZ: I agree. Everything has to be for the show. Everything has to be on camera. We want to hear what you think, by the way. In tonight`s SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll, we`re asking should Kim let her proposal be part of the show? Yes, I want to see it. Or, no, it`s too personal. Tell us what you think.

All right. I got to move on from the Kardashian proposal dram to the Donald Trump and Sarah Palin pizza party this week, right here in New York City. The reality show pair made the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT most provocative celebrity of the week list for being the biggest teases around.

Sarah is a candidate and a reality star who says she isn`t sure if she`s running for president. Donald Trump who says he`s not running, but he`s suggesting he still might run. It`s incredible.

All right. We`ve got to ask this question. I personally think that this may have been some sort of carefully calculated audition for the next "Celebrity Apprentice."

But Midwin, are you buying this? Do you think this pair is really thinking about teaming up for a presidential run?

CHARLES: You know, I don`t. You never know, however, when you`re talking with Sarah Palin. I think one of the joys that she has is surprising people and getting people to talk about her as we`re doing right now on the show.

But I don`t that the two of them are seriously considering running. I mean, the way they`ve carried themselves thus far - I doubt it. But, boy, are they enjoying the media attention. And we all know that that`s one thing that Donald Trump and Sarah Palin love.

DIAZ: Beth, quickly. What have you got?

LITTLEFORD: It`s almost look their PR people got together and planned this.

CHARLES: Yes.

LITTLEFORD: I mean, they`d make a perfect ticket. They`re perfect for each other.

CHARLES: They are.

DIAZ: Yes.

LITTLEFORD: And I guess - is she considering? Is she flirting with him as a vice presidential candidate? I mean, Charlie Sheen wasn`t available? You know, they`re both too good.

DIAZ: All right. All right. That was a huge meeting and it was eclipsed by the outrage over Rihanna`s new music video for the single, "Man Down," all right?

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT named Rihanna to the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT most provocative celebrity of the week for the controversial video where Rihanna plays a woman who guns down a man out of revenge for his abuse. Watch this.

(MUSIC)

DIAZ: I get the thing about shooting a man down as being provocative. But I think this is art. I mean, this is art. Beth, what do you think? Should everyone just calm down and realize that video is Rihanna expressing herself?

LITTLEFORD: I think everyone should calm down and worry about "Grand Theft Auto" or some of these video games where it`s just horrible, sadistic violence for sport.

I mean, this puts me in mind of "Janey`s Got a Gun" or Bob Marley`s "I Shot the Sheriff." She`s doing a video. It`s kind of filled with regret. Maybe instead of "Man Down," she should have just castrated him and said "Manhood Gone." I mean, the fact is, she attacked her rapist.

DIAZ: Yes.

LITTLEFORD: You know, it`s not a PSA. It`s not a public service announcement. It`s a video.

HAMMER: All right. Beth, it`s time to reveal SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s most provocative celebrity of the week. Is it the Kardashians for putting their most private family moments on camera? Sarah Palin and Donald Trump for being the biggest political teases in years? Or possibly Rihanna for the outrage over her new video where she guns a man down?

All right. Drum roll. Can I get a drum roll, please? Thank you so much. Time for the big reveal. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT names Rihanna our most provocative celebrity of the week. Midwin, did we get it right?

CHARLES: I think you did get it right, not because of the video that she`s done, but the manner in which she was able to handle the backlash or the criticism.

She really stood up for herself and said, "Listen, this is art. Don`t judge me. You teach your kid on how to comport themselves." I think she is the most provocative person for doing that successfully.

DIAZ: All right. Midwin Charles, Beth Littleford - by the way, Beth, I`m a huge fan. Please come back. I want to give you more time the next time you`re on. I love you so much, all right?

LITTLEFORD: All right. I love you.

DIAZ: And you can catch Beth in MTV`s "The Hard Times of R.J. Berger" and in "Crazy, Stupid Love" when it hits theaters this summer. Beth is awesome.

All right. Blake Lively`s new photo fiasco. Late tonight, she says she`s been hacked. Is Blake the victim of a vast celebrity conspiracy?

Robin Williams roasts Anthony Weiner. Robin goes off on the Congressman`s lewd tweet photo scandal.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BEHAR: The thing about him is he was tweeting all these young girls. Maybe that`s a mistake.

WILLIAMS: Just a touch.

BEHAR: (UNINTELLIGIBLE) were a congressman.

WILLIAMS: There`s nothing that goes unnoticed in this age, you know.

BEHAR: Yes.

WILLIAMS: You`re a congressman and the idea -

DIAZ: Robin Williams in a new take-no-prisoners interview tonight. The Maksim marriage mystery. Is "Dancing with the Stars`" heartthrob Maksim Chmerkovskiy engaged? We`ve got the video that`s just popped up online that`s causing international panic. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Lindsay Lohan replaces house arrest ankle bracelet after malfunction. New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys perform on "Today."

(MUSIC)

DIAZ: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Carlos Diaz. Picture this, the photos scandals everyone has been talking about - Blake Lively`s nude photo fiasco and New York Congressman Anthony Weiner`s nude tweet photo fiasco.

The two of them came out swinging to defend themselves. Who has it right and who has it wrong?

With me right now, in Hollywood, Howard Bragman, who is the founder of Fifteen Minutes Public Relations. And in New York, Sunny Hostin, who is a legal contributor with "In Session" on truTV.

I`ve got to begin with "Gossip Girl" star, Blake Lively. Now, when the nude photos were leaked of Blake, Blake`s rep released this statement to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, "The photos of Blake Lively, which have just surfaced on various Web sites are 100 percent fake. Blake has never taken nude photos of herself."

Then, Blake`s alleged hacker released more pictures of her with this taunt, "Oh, yes, Blake`s rep. These are totally fake. We really, really believe you. Want more?"

Now, the story took a really ugly, sinister turn on that one. Howard, some people have actually suggested that someone in Blake`s camp is leaking these photos to give her publicity a big boost. Is that just absurd to you?

BRAGMAN: It is a little absurd because if she was going to leak naked pictures, she would leak better lit pictures than these, Carlos, OK? So -

DIAZ: No. I thought you were a connoisseur. Yes, go ahead.

BRAGMAN: Well, I`d probably do better with other photos than Blake Lively. But yes, I think that - I don`t think that these were leaked. And I think that she`s too big a star and that`s kind of naive. And she`s dating Leonardo DeCaprio, OK? You don`t need to leak naked pictures of yourself.

HAMMER: But we haven`t confirmed that as of yet, but they`ve been photographed together recently. Blake`s rep said in that initial statement that Blake has never taken nude photos of herself.

Sunny, let just say Blake did take a nude photo of herself and sent it to someone. Does she only have herself to blame?

HOSTIN: Well, no question about it. But you know what? Bottom line is, look at the Kim Kardashians of the world and the Paris Hiltons of the world. Bottom line is, they did really well with those pictures and those sex tapes.

Yes, she`s a big star, but she could be a bigger star. I`ve seen the pictures. They don`t look terrible. They look pretty good. If they`re hers, then she should just own it. It will make her a bigger star.

DIAZ: I completely agree.

HOSTIN: Yes.

DIAZ: I completely agree. I mean, part of acting is looking good. If you`ve seen those photos -

HOSTIN: That`s right. They look good!

DIAZ: I`ve heard that. You know, that`s the thing. I`ve got to move on to New York Congressman Anthony Weiner`s lewd tweet photo after a very personal picture of him was sent from his Twitter account to a Seattle commerce student.

Weiner went on the defensive saying his account was hacked and even got a little testy with CNN. Check this out.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: But you (UNINTELLIGIBLE) hacked, that you were hacked.

REP. ANTHONY WEINER (D-NY): Let me -

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And that`s a potential criminal act.

WEINER: Dana(ph), I`m going to have to ask that you follow some rules here. And one of those is (UNINTELLIGIBLE) reasonable.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I`d love to get an answer.

WEINER: That would be reasonable. Every time you do the questions, and this jack ass interrupts me. How about that (UNINTELLIGIBLE)?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Wow, Howard. He never answered the question. I didn`t think he would, by the way. Did he make it more of a big deal than it really was with his comment?

BRAGMAN: I`m really surprised. He`s made it a big deal all along. He`s equivocated at every turn. He`s never said, "These are my pictures. These aren`t my pictures." He`s looked defensive.

And most importantly, he`s smarter than this. Do you know who he`s married to? He`s married to Hillary Clinton`s former press secretary. These people know better.

DIAZ: Yes, you would think out of anybody, they would know how to handle some scandal. Well, later on in the week, Congressman Weiner backed off his denial and said this -

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WEINER: It certainly doesn`t look familiar to me, but I don`t want to say with certitude to you something that I don`t know to be the certain truth.

WOLF BLITZER, CNN ANCHOR: Ever taken a picture like this of yourself?

WEINER: I can tell you this, that there are -I have photographs. I don`t know what photographs are out there in the world of me. I don`t know what things have been manipulated and doctored.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Certitude, scrabble word of the week, Sunny. Do you think that the congressman just sunk himself into a bigger hole every time he spoke this week? Just say, "The pictures aren`t mine."

HOSTIN: Yes, he appeared very evasive. But on the other hand, as opposed to Blake Lively, he can`t own this, Carlos. I mean, we`re talking about a Congressman. He can`t own crotch pictures sent from his Twitter account. And so even if they are of him, I`m sure his family (UNINTELLIGIBLE) evasive.

DIAZ: And by the way - and I agree, though. It one of those things where, you know, he doesn`t look as good as Blake Lively, too, so that`s the reason why.

Now, in an interview with HLN`s Joy Behar, Robin Williams had some great stuff to say. It`s was amazing. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BEHAR: But the thing about him is that he`s tweeting all these young girls. Maybe that`s a mistake.

WILLIAMS: Just a touch.

BEHAR: (UNINTELLIGIBLE) were a congressman.

WILLIAMS: There`s nothing that goes unnoticed in this age. You are a congressman and the idea - don`t do that. I only tweeted once. I tweeted "I`m on the road" and that`s it. I`m done.

BEHAR: That`s it?

WILLIAMS: Yes, because, again, the next tweet is, "I know, I`m right behind you." Twitter leads to stalker.

BEHAR: Exactly.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Howard Bragman, Sunny Hostin, thank you so much. All right. Moving on to a very different Twitter story, Pink`s baby love. No drama here. It`s all good. That story and more making big news in "The Buzz Today."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I went to the fridge and I opened up the meat drawer. You know what the meat drawer is, right?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes. What`s in there?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Well, I`ll tell you what was in there. You know that bacon that`s like maple, the maple-flavored -

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The maple kind, yes.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I took that out and I thought I know who would like that. Me! So I ate it.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Oh! You`re kidding me?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: That is so darn cute. And I`m not the only one who thinks that. This SHOWBIZ viral video has gotten more than 35 million hits on YouTube. Can we get the guy some bacon? Seriously, (UNINTELLIGIBLE). Look at that.

Maksim`s marriage shocker. Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who makes women swoon as he sways on "Dancing with the Stars," may have just gotten engaged on another reality TV show.

Everyone is buzzing about this video that just surfaced. It looks like Maksim on the Ukrainian version of "The Bachelor." That`s where he`s from.

Here`s the thing - nobody can confirm it`s him, even the folks over at "HollywoodGossip.com" that fond the clip. Now, this may be in the Ukraine but the international language of cheesy speaks loud and clear.

(MUSIC)

DIAZ: That is some loud kissing. The women of SHOWBIZ TONIGHT refuse to believe that this is real. And no one here speaks Ukrainian. So that`s their story and they`re sticking to it.
