DIAZ: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show breaks news right now.

(MUSIC)

Hello. I`m Carlos Diaz, in for A.J. Hammer with big news breaking tonight - where is Casey?

Casey Anthony is a free woman tonight. She`s cleared of charges that she murdered her two-year-old daughter, Caylee. But the frenzy surrounding her is taking on new dimensions today.

Casey got sprung from jail just after midnight, Sunday. Now, the big question, will she ever really be free of suspicion or the watchful eye of the public waiting for her next move? Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with Casey Anthony`s freedom watch.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) It was the most repeated question on TV today.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Where`s Casey Anthony?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Where is Casey Anthony?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Where is Casey Anthony is this?

DIAZ: From the moment she stepped out of jail early Sunday, a free woman after being acquitted of murdering her little girl, Caylee, Casey Anthony has become the most sought after and elusive woman in America.

ALEXIS TERESZCUK, SENIOR REPORTER, "RADAR ONLINE": People are fascinated. They want to know where Casey is now.

DIAZ: The attorneys on team Casey aren`t giving any answers. So SHOWBIZ TONIGHT looked at the newest mystery in this case - where is Casey Anthony? Could she be in Orlando, Florida, where she lived with her parents? The answer, not likely.

MARK LIPPMAN, GEORGE AND CINDY ANTHONY`S ATTORNEY: It`s our strong suspicion she`s no longer in Orlando.

DIAZ: Mark Lippman is the attorney for Casey`s parents George and Cindy Anthony, who reportedly are refusing to let Casey back in their home. That`s probably because of all the shocking and unproven accusations Casey`s defense lobbed at her family during her murder trial.

Not only were George and Cindy nowhere in sight when Casey left jail Sunday, they refused to help in the Casey get away.

LIPPMAN: Last night we got a call from Mr. Baez. He wanted to use my clients as decoys for the media. And I, of course, did not agree with that. Neither did my clients.

DIAZ: George and Cindy`s attorney tells HLN`s Jane Velez-Mitchell even the family does not know where Casey is.

LIPPMAN: We did find out that wherever Casey is, she`s safe.

DIAZ: The next possibility in the where is Casey Anthony mystery, Ohio. Hours after Casey left jail, local TV cameras fixated on a private jet that left from the Orlando airport.

ANN CURRY, CO-HOST, THE "TODAY" SHOW: Can you confirm she boarded a plane?

DIAZ: This morning on the "Today" show, Ann Curry tried to ask one of Casey Anthony`s attorneys about the plane. She was shot down.

CHENEY MASON, CASEY ANTHONY`S ATTORNEY: I will not confirm that she boarded a plane or flew on her own.

DIAZ: Still, some reports suggest Casey flew with the assistance of a plane to Ohio where she has relatives.

TERESZCUK: I spoke with Chuck Eddy. He is married to Kathy. Kathy is George Anthony`s sister.

DIAZ: Alexis Tereszcuk of "Radar Online" tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT despite some reports that say otherwise, Casey Anthony will not be staying with her aunt and uncle in Ohio.

TERESZCUK: I spoke with Chuck Eddy who said he has not spoken with Casey, his niece. Chuck told me that Casey is not going to be staying with him or his wife in their home.

DIAZ: The attorney for Casey`s parents also threw cold water on the aunt and uncle theory.

LIPPMAN: But can I tell you as far as her staying with family, there`s been no indication that any family is involved with this. So if she is going to Ohio, it`s not to stay with any family we`re aware of.

DIAZ: So Casey may or may not be in Orlando or in Ohio. Plus, reports are also throwing out California, Arizona and even Puerto Rico as possibilities. Why all the secrecy about Casey`s whereabouts?

CROWD: Caylee! Caylee!

DIAZ: It`s clear people are still angry over her acquittal in her daughter`s murder. Her lawyers say she`s gotten a variety of death threats and they want to keep her safe.

MASON: Her life is going to be difficult for a very long time. As long as there are so many people of a lynch mob mentality and those willing to deny the fact that the jury found her not guilty, she`s going to have issues.

DIAZ: But her attorney, Cheney Mason, tells the "Today" show that Casey does have fans and supporters, some of whom are helping Casey out financially.

MASON: We`ve had an outpouring of people offering their time and whatever they can do to try to help her. Lots of people in this country, despite the mobs, do in fact believe in the Constitution and presumption of innocence. And lots of people are trying to help her.

DIAZ: And that`s where we stand on the Casey Anthony mystery. There`s lots of theories, speculation and unanswered questions, just like everything else we`ve seen in the Casey Anthony case.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

So what must be going through Casey Anthony`s mind right about now, especially since she was whisked away from jail to a secret location that even her own family doesn`t know about? And who can Casey trust?

With me right now from Hollywood, Wendy Walsh, who is a TV journalist and psychologist. And from Orlando, Steve Helling, who is a staff writer for "People" magazine.

I want to take a look at what a pool photographer, Red Huber, of "The Orlando Sentinel" newspaper had to say about Casey`s demeanor when she walked out of jail at 12:11 a.m. Sunday morning.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

RED HUBER, PHOTOGRAPHER, "THE ORLANDO SENTINEL": She wasn`t smiling. She wasn`t frowning. She didn`t look like she was joyful. It seemed like to me it was just a very plain look. Maybe a slight grin, but not that noticeable.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: A lot of people are analyzing her expression. This guy literally had a front row seat. Wendy, you`ve got to think she was coached a little bit about Jose Baez, "OK. We heard some backlash about you in court with your hair down, laughing like you just got away with something."

Now, she`s got her hair pulled back. Do you think there was some serious coaching, "Don`t walk out there with a grin on your face"?

WENDY WALSH, TV JOURNALIST AND DOCTOR OF PSYCHOLOGY: I think it was partly serious coaching and I think she`s a little bit afraid. She knows she`s gotten these death threats.

There are people out there who, you know, don`t want to see her living for much longer. And that`s a scary world to walk in. We have to remember that prison, as awful as it is, at least was a fairly safe place for her. So now, she`s in this unsafe world.

DIAZ: Well, when she left jail, there were protestors waiting with signs outside. We now know that her parents didn`t even cooperate with the plan to get her out of jail into a secret location. Even her family in Ohio says they are not in contact with her. Steve, who can Casey trust?

STEVE HELLING, STAFF WRITER, "PEOPLE" MAGAZINE: Well, right now, her family is her lawyers. That`s all that she`s got at this point. Her friends turned their back on her. Her family has not been in contact with her.

So right now, all she`s got is Jose Baez and his team. You know, whether she`ll build other people in the future, who knows? But that`s what she`s got at the moment.

DIAZ: Well, so much has been made about that million dollar offer that Casey received to do an interview. But this morning, Casey Anthony`s attorney, Jose Baez, squashed the idea saying Casey would speak publicly in a dignified setting.

Now, this morning on "The View," Barbara Walters said she doesn`t see how an interview with Casey Anthony in this climate would even fly.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BARBARA WALTERS, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER AND CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": I don`t see how she can possibly do this. She won`t take the stand. And she`s going to sit down now, she writes a book and doesn`t discuss what - nobody knows what happened to that baby.

So all of this business about interviews and books and so on - I mean, I don`t care how she felt in prison.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: OK. Here`s the thing, though. I agree with Barbara. I mean, Barbara is an amazing journalist. But if you put Casey Anthony in a chair and she reads the phone book, people are going to watch.

They just want to hear her speak. Wendy, what do you think? Does she need to give up the goods or basically is she - is just hearing her voice enough to attract millions of viewers?

WALSH: Listen, Carlos, back when I was a news reporter in the days with you, we covered every minute of that O.J. Simpson trial. And it wasn`t long before he was talking to media.

So I`m pretty sure she`s going to be out there. She`s going to be talking to media because, you`re right, eyeballs are attached to her no matter what she says.

So at some point, I mean, I think that she`s going to try to leverage her chances to make some money because with the $500 something they gave her on the way out, I don`t know how she`s going to survive.

And I don`t know if she can get a job and she`s got no family supporting her. So she`ll take whatever money she can get in the short term and she`ll do media, mark my words.

DIAZ: Steve, you were down there for month, years covering this. What do you think is going through Casey`s mind right now?

HELLING: Well, you know, that`s always hard to say because we couldn`t tell what was going through Casey`s mind during the trial. We were sitting there watching her day after day after day.

So you know, right now, I don`t know if she`s gloating that she got away with something, or if she`s scared to death. We just don`t know. We can speculate all we want.

But the one thing we do know is that her life is totally changed and she knows that there`s no going back to her old life. She`s got to know that at this point.

DIAZ: And watch Casey right here. She says "thank you" to that guard. What did that guard say to her that she`s saying thank you to the guy? That`s a mystery that will have answered at a different time.

All right, guys. I really appreciate your time. Thanks for joining us.

All right. Coming up, the Casey Anthony fallout. HLN all-stars Jane Velez-Mitchell and Vinnie Politan - they watched as Casey Anthony walked out of jail a free woman. So what was that moment like for Jane and Vinnie? They`re right here.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the very first reaction to J-Lo and Marc Anthony`s stunning split. I`ll tell you this - I didn`t see it coming.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JENNIFER LOPEZ, ACTRESS AND SINGER: We all live under the same things, family, faith, love, intense love.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: What`s next for Jennifer Lopez? And should she stay single? And tonight, two big stars joking about two big balls.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, SINGER AND ACTOR: We want to pay honor to our country and embrace their balls.

MILA KUNIS, ACTRESS: We`re attending both balls.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Justin Timberlake, Mila Kunis, find out what they`re having a ball about, coming up. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: New "Harry Potter" movie breaks record, earns $476 million in worldwide debut. Chris Evans talks about taking on role of Captain America.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CHRIS EVANS, ACTOR: There`s a lot of people who have high expectations of this character. So trying to do it justice was a constant battle, and it plays on your brain. It makes you a little - it makes you crazy some days.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

DIAZ: That is one good looking baby. You`re looking at the very first pictures of Harper Seven Beckham. Aww. Victoria and David Beckham`s one- week old daughter. Posh and Becks just posted their photos on their Facebook page and Twitter page.

Harper joins big brothers, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz. And in case you`re wondering where the name Harper comes from, David said he and Victoria wanted an old English name and Victoria`s favorite book is Harper Lee`s "To Kill a Mocking Bird."

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Carlos Diaz. Tonight, Hollywood`s hacking outrage. Celebrities are appalled and outraged at the idea that some British tabloids were hacking stars` cell phones to get the scoop on their personal lives.

Even worse, stars tell SHOWBIZ TONIGHT they`re terrified of the possibility that it could also be happening right here in Hollywood. But if Hugh Grant has his way, he`ll topple any hacking tabloids one lawsuit at a time.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) Hugh Grant is leading the celebrity crusade against media giant Rupert Murdoch and his tabloid newspapers. Grant is filing a lawsuit against London`s police demanding documents that could give major insight into this hacking scandal.

HUGH GRANT, ACTOR: When you realize how much collusion there`s been from the police and how much collusion there`s been from our lawmakers, from our government, you start to think, "I`m not proud of my country anymore."

DIAZ: Grant blew the lid off the story and is accusing Murdoch and his tabloids of hacking into celebrity cell phones. Now, the entire story is snowballing out of control.

In England, Murdoch is in hot water today. His tabloid papers accused not only of tapping celebrity cell phones, but also hiring private detectives to snoop around in stars` personal lives.

J. MOORE: I think it`s unconscionable. I really do.

DIAZ: Tonight, in Hollywood, celebrities are telling SHOWBIZ TONIGHT they`re outraged.

MOORE: I`m so happy. I`m so happy that it`s being revealed.

DIAZ: The British government has launched a huge investigation and the most shocking shocker of them all, the head of Scotland Yard stepped down because of the scandal.

SIR PAUL STEPHENSON, HEAD OF SCOTLAND YARD: I really wish we would have done some things differently, but I will not lose any sleep over my personal integrity.

DIAZ: Julianne Moore tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT she`s glad the house of cards is tumbling down.

J. MOORE: Maybe it will lead to change in our media, I hope.

DIAZ: Change would be great, but Jason Bateman tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT he wouldn`t be surprised if it turns out these kind of cheap tricks are happening right here in Hollywood.

JASON BATEMAN, ACTOR: It wouldn`t surprise me because the celebrity media is sort of out of control and it`s based only on sensationalism.

DIAZ: And Ryan Reynolds, Jason`s co-star in the new hit movie, "The Change-Up" tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT he wouldn`t be surprised that this scandal rocked all of the news media, not just the tabloids.

BATEMAN: There`s just a lot of different anchors that had something to do with this, a lot of different news organizations.

DIAZ: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you Rupert Murdoch is being called into an emergency session in parliament to get grilled on his star snooping.

SEBASTIAN STAN, ACTOR: I mean, it`s scary, you know.

DIAZ: The investigations could lead to more major bombshells. But for celebrities like "Captain America" star, Sebastian Stan, it always boils down to the harsh reality that celebrity privacy is in danger now more than ever.

STAN: We`re not in the same world as we were in, you know, 20 years ago.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

DIAZ: And Jude Law is also suing Murdoch`s "The Sun." He says the paper printed all sorts of stored information about him they hacked from his cell phone.

All right. Moving on now, lots of fired-up calls coming in through our "Showbiz on Call" tonight about Casey Anthony possibly cashing in now that she`s a free woman. Anne from Ontario Canada says that since she was found not guilty, Casey should be able to do whatever she wants.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

ANNE, CALLER FROM ONTARIO, CANADA: I`ve been watching the Casey Anthony trial and should she go broke? No, I don`t think so, because the justice system that we`re supposed to have our respect for has set her free.

And based on this, she should have every right as any other citizen does, to walk around like everybody else does and to earn money.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

DIAZ: Thank you, Anne. But Linda calling from Texas says that`s ridiculous.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

LINDA, CALLER FROM TEXAS: I do not want to watch anything to do with Casey on a movie, in a magazine, anything, so she can make any money at all. America does not want to pay Casey.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

DIAZ: Thanks, Linda. What do you think about this or any other story? Give us a call on our "Showbiz on Call." The "Showbiz on Call" phone lines are always open - 1-888-SBT-BUZZ. That`s 1-888-728-2899. Leave us a voicemail and we`ll play some of your calls right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, crashing a wedding? That`s pretty cool, coming up.

Also this - SHOWBIZ caught on tape. Tonight a frightening stage collapse in the middle of a huge concert. That`s coming up next. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Ivanka Trump gives birth to a baby girl, Arabella Rose. Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds joke about their on-screen chemistry.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BATEMAN: The connection that is just -

RYAN REYNOLDS, ACTOR: Our astrological charts, by the way, is like looking at the same thing.

BATEMAN: We like each other and he makes me laugh, and he holds me when I`m upset about things. What more could you want?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(SCREAMS)

DIAZ: This is absolutely terrifying. A stage collapses right in the middle of a performance by the band, Cheap Trick. This happened during the Ottawa Blues Fest in Canada.

A sudden and violent storm came plowing through. Cheap Trick`s manager tells us the band members and the crew are OK, but some people at the concert were injured. But "The Ottawa Citizen" reports they are now out of the hospital.

Moving on to Charlie Sheen`s anger management issues, only this time, he`s not in trouble. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can confirm tonight that Sheen is headed back to TV. He signed on to star in a sitcom aptly titled "Anger Management."

Now, Sheen officially announced today his decision to sign on to do the sitcom based on the 2003 movie of the same name. So what does this mean for Charlie Sheen? Is he winning again?

Joining me tonight in Hollywood is "E!" chief news correspondent, Ken Baker.

All right. Ken, it`s hard to believe it`s only been four months since Sheen`s downward spiral and dramatic exit from "Two and a Half Men." So why did Charlie decide to head back to the small screen?

In a statement to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT today, he said, "I chose `Anger Management` because while it might be a stretch for me to play a guy with serious anger management issues, I think it`s a great concept."

"It also provides me with a real ownership in the series, a certain amount of creative control and the chance to be back in business with one of my favorite movie producers of all time, Joe Roth."

Joe Roth has worked with Sheen on five films, including "Major League," so obviously, he knows what he`s getting into. But Ken, Charlie has proven to be a little bit of a loose cannon. Could this be a bad idea?

KEN BAKER, CHIEF NEWS CORRESPONDENT, "E!": I don`t think it`s a bad idea. It`s sort of a mixed bag if you really break it down.

On one hand, it`s really good news because we`re talking about Charlie Sheen and we`re not talking about him in a custody battle with his ex-wife. We`re not talking about him kind of freaking out on the Internet. We`re not talking about him being unemployed.

We`re talking about him actually having a job. They`re going to pilot this show and there seems to be some good news there. But if you really look at the fine print of it, they don`t have a network. They have to pilot this thing. It has to work.

DIAZ: Right.

BAKER: Someone has to really want to put it out on a platform. Now, if it does succeed and they do find a buyer and they find a distributor for this, then, for sure, this could potentially be a big hit and be really good for him.

I went with Charlie Sheen out on tour. I was there at the beginning of his tour. And he said all along. "I want my job back." This is as close as he`ll get.

DIAZ: There you go. All right. Ken Baker, thanks for the info. I really appreciate it.

And now, the SHOWBIZ lineup - here`s what`s coming up at the bottom of the hour right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

HLN all-stars, Jane Velez-Mitchell and Vinnie Politan. They watched as Casey Anthony walked out of jail a free woman. So what was that moment like for Jane and Vinnie? Jane and Vinnie right here tonight with the Casey fallout.

And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the very first reaction to J-Lo and Marc Anthony`s stunning split. What`s next for Jennifer Lopez? Plus, the red hot SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - should J-Lo stay single? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

DIAZ: Two stars, two balls. The must-see interview tonight.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC)

DIAZ: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It`s 30 minutes past the hour. I`m Carlos Diaz in for A.J. Hammer with big news breaking tonight - Casey`s fallout.

A tsunami of Casey Anthony hatred is crashing across America tonight. Casey haters across the country are fired up and speaking out. So what`s it like to be there right in the middle of the Casey Anthony fallout covering the story of the century?

Tonight, we have the fabulous reporters who have been inside the Casey storm from the beginning. In New York tonight, we are honored to have Jane Velez-Mitchell, who is just back from Orlando where she covered every day of the Casey Anthony trial. Jane, of course, is the host of "ISSUES WITH JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL" every week night at 7:00 p.m. Eastern right here on HLN.

Joining us from Orlando tonight, Steve Helling, who has been covering the story as a staff writer for "People" magazine.

And in Atlanta tonight, my good friend, Vinnie Politan, who also covered the trial from day one. Vinnie had amazing coverage on "HLN SPECIAL REPORT" which you`ll see at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time followed, of course, by "PRIME NEWS."

So many people in those huge crowds that watched Casey Anthony go free over the weekend told HLN watching her leave jail gave them a real sense of closure. I`ve got to imagine the journalists who have been covering the story for so many years also feel the same kind of relief.

Jane, you`ve been breaking news on Casey Anthony right here on HLN for over three years since the story began. What was it like that moment that she walked out of jail for you?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Carlos, it was unbelievable, an adrenaline rush like no other. I was right there as her SUV whizzed right by me. It`s almost indescribable because the tension leading up to that moment was enormous.

All the journalists crowded in together, officers on mounted units and in cars and the police tape pushing us back and the angry protestors pushing us forward. And we`re like this and trying to figure out what door is she coming out?

Did she give us a slip? Did she go out the back way? And all of a sudden, this caravan of SUVs and she`s in one of the vehicles. And then, the cops that were right in front of me just literally jumped.

They pulled back the police tape and they jumped in their squad cars and they take off like - honestly, I`m not exaggerating. It was something out of a movie. It really was astonishing.

DIAZ: Well, the Casey Anthony story has been really movie-like and been riveting the country. It almost feels like the entire nation is raging that the jury acquitted Casey. Dozens of sheriff`s deputies were forced to escort Casey to freedom. Police on horseback, as Jane said, lining the streets.

I want to take a look at what Casey`s lawyer, Jose Baez, told Fox News about this flare-up of all the Casey haters out there.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

JOSE BAEZ, CASEY ANTHONY`S LAWYER: This young woman had her day in court where a jury found her not guilty for murder, manslaughter and aggravated child abuse.

We need to start respecting the jury verdict and decisions that juries make. Pundits and media personalities have no right prying all through the life of any individual as to what they think may or may not have happened.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

DIAZ: Right there, Vinnie. Vinnie, you have no right to have an opinion on TV. How do you respond, Vinnie, to what Jose Baez just said?

VINNIE POLITAN, HLN CORRESPONDENT: Well, I would respond and tell Mr. Baez that the same Constitution which protected his client and allowed her a fair trial, which she got, also protects every member of the public to speak freely, OK?

DIAZ: Great point. Great point.

POLITAN: Come on it`s the same thing. So they want to toast the Constitution, I`ll toast the Constitution tonight also.

DIAZ: Very good point, Vinnie. Steve, you`re down there in Orlando, still, Ground Zero for this story. You`ve reported every twist and turn.

I`m going to be very honest. I covered the Anna Nicole Smith trial. And I was down there in Florida and then the Bahamas for several months. It didn`t do wonders for my marriage.

What`s it been like for you personally down there in Orlando having to cover this for your personal life? How has it affected your personal life?

HELLING: Well, clearly, of course, that means that I`m away a little bit more. I`m dealing with this a little more that I can`t be with my wife and kids like, normally.

But you know, it`s such an interesting story. It`s such an exciting story that I think my - the people around me have sort of been living the story through me a little bit, so it`s been fine.

DIAZ: OK. But your marriage is OK, right?

HELLING: As far as I know, yes. Absolutely.

DIAZ: OK, good. Because I`ve got some breaking news for you - no, I`m kidding. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can reveal that Cindy and George Anthony did not meet with Casey after she was released from jail.

Would you believe that brand-new reports say Casey`s parents only received a text from her lawyers saying she was safe?

Jane, you were right there in the middle of this during the whole crisis and you had some pretty strong feelings about it. I want to look back at your coverage of Casey`s release. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL (on camera): This is the worst case scenario - the worst case scenario for a family, an American family imploding.

And then the character defects of the parents have come out and any family examined and dissected this much would have a slew of character defects because we`re all human. We all have mistakes.

But it`s almost like watching the destruction of a family. And our hearts do go out to Cindy and George. We can never forget them in this story. Cindy wanted to see her daughter before she left town and didn`t get the opportunity and it crushed her.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Jane, how do you think history will judge George and Cindy Anthony?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, there are a lot of people who are judging them, saying that they believe Cindy lied on the stand to protect her daughter. They believe George was having an affair with the woman who went on the stand and said, "Oh, I had an affair with George," and that even though he denied it, they believe her.

But I really don`t think we should be judging them. There`s an old saying, "Don`t judge people until you`ve walked in their shoes for a few weeks." And none of us have walked in the shoes of Cindy and George.

How would any of us handle the situation, losing a granddaughter and then a daughter accused of murder? I don`t know. And I think that if you consider all the bizarre and crazy circumstances, the protests outside their house, they might end up have handled it pretty well, I think, at the end.

DIAZ: All right. Well, a lot of people are enraged at the Casey Anthony jury. There are brand-new death threats being reported today. Calling into "Showbiz on Call," Lynn in California had this to say.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

LYNNE, CALLER FROM CALIFORNIA: I have no pity or mercy whatsoever for any of the jurors. Let them take what they get - of course, not violent. I don`t condone violence. But hate mail or being shunned by the public, fine with me.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

DIAZ: Well, I agree with Lynn that violence is always a bad idea. I think it`s clear that this decision to acquit Casey weighed heavily on the jurors. And they didn`t make that decision lightly.

I`ve got to ask, is it flat out wrong to vilify them? Vinnie, you`ve lived and breathed this for years. What do you think?

POLITAN: No, I think it`s wrong to vilify them. They`re not villains. They`re ordinary citizens who were going in to do their civic duty, and they saw the evidence in a certain way.

But we certainly can disagree with them. We don`t have to just accept what they say as what really happened in this case or didn`t happen in this case. I think we all, because of cameras and everything else, are able to evaluate the evidence the way we would like to see this case so we can come to our conclusions.

But they`re not villains. They`re ordinary citizens who went down to do their jobs.

DIAZ: Vinnie, Steve, Jane, thank you so much, guys. Great job. All right. Moving on now to the big J-Lo and Marc Anthony split.

It`s a shocker. I`ve got to say a lot of people thought those two would definitely make it. Listen to J-Lo herself.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LOPEZ: We all live under the same things, family, faith, love, intense love.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: So what happened? What`s next for J-Lo? And our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, should Jennifer Lopez just stay single?

And Justin`s going, Mila`s going, but will Betty White be the third big star to head to a Marine Corps Ball? I`ll tell you, coming up. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

DIAZ: Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony made TVs around the country fog up from the heat of their super-steamy "American Idol" performance just a few months ago.

Tonight, it seems it may have been a big smoke screen after the couple`s shocking announcement that they`re splitting after seven years of marriage.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Can we go back to that video? I`m Carlos Diaz. Oh no, J-Lo! Jennifer Lopez` split shocker.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT confirmed the bombshell news with this statement from Jennifer and Marc, "We have decided to end or marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time."

Right now, in Hollywood is Wendy Walsh, she`s a TV journalist and doctor of psychology. Also in Hollywood is Ken Baker. He`s the executive news editor for "E!"

This will be divorce number three for J-Lo. She`s not really in Elizabeth Taylor`s territory just yet. But Ken, you know all things going on in Hollywood. Are you shocked with the J-Lo Marc Anthony split?

BAKER: I was shocked, but you said something in the setup there that it was looking like a smokescreen by them being so in love or looking like they were in love when they performed back in May on "American Idol." I`m being told that this all went down very quickly -

DIAZ: Really?

BAKER: That there was some sort of nuclear event. Yes, there was some sort of nuclear event in this relationship very recently within the last month. And that`s what it`s looking like.

What that was is the source of a lot of speculation right now. Of course, everyone is wondering who cheated on who, but we don`t have any evidence that anyone cheated.

There`s just something obviously did happen between these two that made them make a decision that, frankly, shocked even people like me who follow it.

Now, Carlos if you said to me three, four years ago J-Lo and Marc Anthony - they`re announcing their split, I would have said, "Oh, yes," because there were always rumors of an up-and-down relationship, all those kinds of stuff.

But it seemed that they really settled down since the twins came and they seemed very happy, so it`s very shocking.

DIAZ: Well, Jennifer and Marc obviously worked out a deal to share custody of their kids, which you just mentioned. But what about their other baby?

The couple has a new reality show that`s set to start taping in the Caribbean in South America in just a couple of weeks. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LOPEZ: People see us as one. We see ourselves as different. At the same time, there`s so much power in our differences, but there`s even more power in the fact that we should be one. We all live under the same things, family, faith, love, intense love.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Publicly, they say the show will go on. I say, yes, right. But Wendy, after seeing that, does the seemingly sudden split surprise you?

WALSH: It doesn`t necessarily surprise me. I mean, she`s got a track record now. The first marriage was like 10 months. The second marriage was under two years. Then, the famous engagement to Ben Affleck and very quickly hooking up with Marc Anthony.

I think that, at this point, J-Lo needs to grow up -she`s 41 - and have a committed relationship with her children. And traveling the world to 21 countries with an estranged husband, like, what are they going to do? Drag the kids with them?

DIAZ: Yes, but - hold on. Hold on.

(CROSS TALK)

WALSH: Or leave them at home and neglect them? I don`t know.

DIAZ: She`s been a great mom for the past, like, few years and now she`s hot as all get out from "American Idol." She`s got a hit single. I mean, Ken, back me on this one. There`s no way -

WALSH: Which is the other piece.

DIAZ: But there`s no way she`s going to go back to being Mrs. Mom. She`s going to want to go out there and stoke that fire, right, Ken?

BAKER: Well, first of all, I have to say just time-out here, OK? We don`t really know why these two are splitting, OK? There could be a multitude of reasons -

DIAZ: But I`m talking about what`s going to happen now, though. But what`s going to happen now, Ken? Give me the crystal ball.

BAKER: But what`s going to happen now is - look it. Carlos, they have always been very hard working. They both had their own separate careers. Just because we saw them dance together on "American Idol" and they`re doing this reality show - they`ve been, for years, independent.

Right now, as we speak I`m told that Jennifer Lopez is in the Ukraine singing at a private gig. He`s done in Colombia. These two have always been actively (INAUDIBLE) -

WALSH: And I say, where are the kids?

(CROSS TALK)

BAKER: And they`re probably going to continue to do it.

DIAZ: OK, but that`s my point. She`s been kind of like, you know, all about the kids for the last few years. And now, her career is on fire like it was, say, seven years ago.

WALSH: Carlos -

DIAZ: Yes, Wendy, go ahead.

WALSH: Carlos, Carlos, children take 18 years to raise. I don`t care what gender does it, but somebody or both have to do the work.

(CROSS TALK)

DIAZ: I believe they have something called nannies and au pairs. It`s a radical new thing that these two can have other people raising their kids.

WALSH: Not the same.

DIAZ: I`m just saying right now - I would say Jennifer Lopez would want to be an amazing mom, but she`s got to cultivate that career right now which is hot as all get out. OK. Wendy Walsh -

WALSH: Accomplishments - I think, accomplishing two humans growing up well is (INAUDIBLE).

(CROSS TALK)

DIAZ: (INAUDIBLE), Wendy. You are a better mom than I am, Wendy. That`s all I have to say. Ken Baker - I love you. Thanks, man.

Bieber congratulated the newlyweds and took the mike saying, quote, "We just crashed it. We heard a party, so we decided just to come. So let`s party."

SHOWBIZ breaks news. Steve Carell is revealing to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT how he feels about "The Office" starting the new season without him and the addition of James Spader as Dunder Mifflin`s new big boss.

STEVE CARELL, ACTOR: Well, I think it`s going to be a great season. It`s a little bit strange that, in two weeks, everybody`s going back, but I`m not.

But I think it`s good. I think that infusion of new blood and different story lines, I think, will be a bit exciting. I`m excited to see it.

DIAZ: Betty, belle of the ball? Betty White has just become the latest Marine dream date. In a new video just posed on YouTube, Marine Sergeant Ray Lewis, rose in hand, invited the 89-year-old Ms. White to the Marine Corps Ball. Check him out gushing on his crush.

SGT. RAY LEWIS, UNITED STATES MARINES: She`s funny. She`s sweet. She`s mature. She`s the all-around perfect woman. I think I could make her laugh. I think she could make me laugh. I think we could laugh together. It`s going to be great.

DIAZ: Betty is the third celeb with an invite to the big dance. Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake have also just agreed to be Marine dates.

DIAZ: I have to say I`m not sure Betty is going to go if she hears how Justin and Mila have been talking about their balls.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

RYAN GOSLING, ACTOR: When I was 17, I got a pilot, the TV show. He was on it, too. We both had (INAUDIBLE) parts. And I was just kind of obsessed with him. I would go to the set when I wasn`t filming just to watch him work.

He was so funny. So I made this kind of promise to myself that I would work with him one day. So the opportunity came up and I`m really excited.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LESTER HOLT, ANCHOR, THE "TODAY" SHOW: You both have become the belles of the ball, the Marine Corps Ball. What is the story? Mila, you`re going, right?

KUNIS: I am.

HOLT: You`re going?

KUNIS: He`s going, too.

HOLT: You got an invitation as well?

TIMBERLAKE: It`s an invitation to a completely different ball.

KUNIS: Yes. It`s two separate balls.

TIMBERLAKE: Apparently, there`s multiple balls.

KUNIS: Yes, Marines have a lot of balls.

TIMBERLAKE: Marines got balls.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: What a ball Lester Holt had on the "Today" show this morning. He innocently asked "Friends with Benefits" stars Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis if they were going to be attending the Marine Corps balls, the ones they were asked out to by Marines on YouTube.

That was what they were supposed to be talking about anyway. Leave it to Justin to turn this into what could be called an "SNL" skit. I have to say J.T. and Mila are having lots of fun with this ball stuff. Let`s see if it helps their movie out.

OK. Here`s the latest. Justin Timberlake just accepted an invitation to attend a Marine Corps ball with Cpl. Kelsey De Santis. She posted a YouTube video asking him to go just after Mila Kunis was invited to a ball Marine Sgt. Scott Moore.

Justin nudged Mila to say yes and J.T. is going with his date, too. So all is good, but they can`t seem to do it all without, you know, cracking up. Watch.

TIMBERLAKE: It`s a completely different ball.

TIMBERLAKE: We want to pay honor to our country and embrace their balls.

KUNIS: We`re attending both balls.

HOLT: Mila, how did this come about?

TIMBERLAKE: Separately.

KUNIS: Separately, but together. Do you think we can combine the balls?

HOLT: A double date.

KUNIS: Yes. Like -

TIMBERLAKE: Yes, sure. I mean - well, I`m pretty sure there`s protocol with Marine balls.

KUNIS: How many ball references can we make?

HOLT: I don`t know. You guys have done pretty well. We`ve got to end there. Justin Timberlake, Mila Kunis, great having you here.

TIMBERLAKE: Did we just collapse the "Today" show? I feel like we did.

HOLT: Well, let me just say this. Folks, "Friends with Benefits" hits theaters Fridays. But check out this segue. Why are Americans so obsessed with breasts? You can`t make this stuff up.

KUNIS: Great!

TIMBERLAKE: I`m pretty sure I have an answer for that.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis - and I was so happy that Lester Holt did not get testy.

On Friday, we asked you to vote in our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll. The results just in, "Casey Anthony jurors: Is it OK for them to cash in?" Seventy-nine percent say no way. Twenty-one percent say yes.

Here are some of the E-mails we got. Diana S. writes, "No, I don`t believe they should be able to cash in. In fact, I think it should be illegal to serve as a juror and talk about the case afterward for money."

And Cindy M. writes, "I fell jurors should not be permitted to cash in. Greed can lead certain individuals to make poor decisions."

That`s SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Carlos Diaz. Remember, you can catch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusively Monday through Friday at 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time and Pacific right here on HLN.
