A.J. HAMMER, HOST: Tonight, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Maria Shriver, their startling lunch date. Are they getting back together? I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with Nischelle Turner. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

More big news breaking tonight on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT - rehab for Casey? Wild brand-new reports today that Casey Anthony is headed to rehab. The great debate, is this rehab real? Plus, breaking news today, why was Casey ordered back to the city where she beat the rap on charges she killed her daughter?

Head for the hills! Run for your lives! Paris and Lindsay reportedly partying together again. Is this just nuts? Should Lindsay be risking rehab again? Tonight, a big star who has been to rehab is right here and fired up. "One Day at a Time`s" Mackenzie Phillips in the headline-making SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview.

Tonight, another Kardashian sex tape? Startling news Kim`s own mom is confessing she made a sex tape.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KRIS JENNER, MOTHER OF KIM KARDASHIAN: There is a sex tape nobody else knows.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It was the `90s. It was cool.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Like mother like daughter? TV`s most provocative entertainment news show breaks news right now.

(MUSIC)

Hello, I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with Nischelle Turner.

NISCHELLE TURNER, GUEST HOST: And there is big news breaking tonight about two new huge Casey Anthony shockers, including this, is Casey headed to rehab?

HAMMER: Well, that is how the day started out today with the news that Casey in hiding was planning to head to rehab. Rehab for what? No one could say.

But hold the phone a second. That apparently will have to wait for now because that was followed today by another shocker, a judge ordered Casey to return to Orlando, which, of course, became the Casey hate capital of the world following her acquittal there on charges that she killed her daughter, Caylee.

But why does she have to go back? What`s that rehab all about anyway? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the late-breaking developments on the brand-new Casey controversies breaking today.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

Casey Anthony lawyer negotiates dollar signs with networks. Casey Anthony seeking $1.5 million for interview. For a while, the big question on all the headlines was, which TV network with snag the big Casey Anthony interview?

But today, instead of landing on primetime TV, it appears Casey is landing somewhere else, on a counselor`s couch.

NINA PARKER, PRODUCER, TMZ: We actually learned here at TMZ that Casey Anthony will not be doing any interviews with any of the major networks. She instead will be getting some help for what her lawyer calls obvious mental issues.

One of the reasons that she wants to get help is because she realizes that the way that she dealt with her child`s death, she had some questionable behavior.

HAMMER: Questionable behavior being, of course, Casey`s month-long party binge while her two-year-old daughter, Caylee, was missing, her failure to report Caylee`s disappearance to the police and the numerous, outlandish lies she told during the investigation.

JOSE BAEZ, CASEY ANTHONY`S ATTORNEY: Casey has issues.

HAMMER: During the trial, Casey`s psychological issues were a big part of her defense against charges she murdered Caylee. And after her acquittal and release, her attorney, Cheney Mason, told the "Today" show Casey needs counseling because she`s had a rough couple of years.

CHENEY MASON, CASEY ANTHONY`S ATTORNEY: She`s got the issue of dealing the loss of her child. She`s just not done the (UNINTELLIGIBLE) and never will. And the fact that she spent three years locked up in a cage is very psychologically expensive for a human being. And it will take a while for her to adjust.

HAMMER: But at the same time Casey`s people were talking about getting her help, they reportedly were also talking behind the scenes about getting her some cash.

PARKER: Casey Anthony - we`re told her asking price out of the gate was going to be no less than $1.5 million. We`re told there were actual negotiations going on with several networks.

HAMMER: But lately, there have been reports that TV networks Casey was talking to about an interview have since gotten cold feet, judging the controversial ex-convict too hot to handle.

So could Casey`s counseling sabbatical be more of a cooling off period?

PARKER: We don`t know if it was completely the networks kind of backing off, letting it kind of die down a little bit, or if it was just her mental issues. It seems like it could be a little bit of both.

HAMMER: If Casey is going to get treatment, it might have to be in her hometown of Orlando. Today, a judge ordered her back to Orlando to serve probation for one of the crimes she actually was convicted of.

SUNNY HOSTIN, LEGAL CONTRIBUTOR, "IN SESSION" ON TRU TV: Casey Anthony has to serve one year probation in reference to the check fraud case. The Strickland interpretation of the order is that she should return to Orlando within the next 72 hours.

HAMMER: The problem is Orlando isn`t exactly the happiest place on earth for Casey.

CROWD (chanting): Caylee! Caylee!

HAMMER: Besides being the home of Disney World, Orlando is the epicenter of the "I hate Casey Anthony" movement. The night she was released from jail, she couldn`t get out of Orlando fast enough, reportedly hopping a private jet that whisked her out west.

MASON: She`s gone. She`s safe. Elaborate plans had to be made to keep the people away from her

HAMMER: And while her attorneys have apparently taken a vow of silence when it comes to Casey`s location, they have said pointblank she ain`t in Orlando.

PARKER: My guess is that Orlando is not the safest place for Casey Anthony.

HAMMER: So last week, it appeared Casey Anthony was headed for a big money interview special. Now, she`s apparently headed into counseling and back to the last city she wants to go to. More proof that life on the outside isn`t easy or predictable for this troubled woman.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

All right. Here we are, two weeks after Casey Anthony was released from jail. All of a sudden, she`s reportedly planning to go to rehab to deal with her issues. But I have to wonder, is this the right move for Casey right now? Or could this be yet another hand dealt in the game of Casey Anthony poker?

Let me bring in Atty. Sunny Hostin who is a legal contributor for "In Session" on Tru TV.

So Sunny, the rehab is reportedly for mental issues. She reportedly only now realizes her behavior while Caylee was missing was wrong. That leads to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, Casey goes rehab - good for her or just a PR stunt? What do you think, Sunny?

HOSTIN: Well, I think it`s a little bit of both, right? Certainly, it would be good for her because we can all agree that her behavior before, during, after has been really bizarre. It just hasn`t been the norm.

But in terms of a PR stunt, I think that would be helpful, too. It sounds a bit like legal trickery to me, A.J., but bottom line is, we all love that comeback story, right? We all love people that try to do better, try to get better.

And so that is what she is trying to do. I think it could help her in the court of public opinion.

HAMMER: Yes, maybe they need to call this image rehab. And you know, I have seen rehab used so many times in Hollywood over the years when somebody`s - their reputation has been dragged through the mud. Maybe they`re having some kind of a career low point.

And sometimes, it actually succeeds in working to get rehabber some sympathy. I cannot wait to get the Lalamanian theory on this.

Pat Lalama, investigative journalist, to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, a stunt or not? What do you think?

PAT LALAMA, INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST: I think it`s a total PR stunt. Look, let me the first to say this - I think she is emotionally - severely emotionally damaged. I`d like to believe it`s a sincere move.

I don`t think she can be helped. I do think this is a result of the following things - the networks, the vultures with all their big paychecks or checkbooks said, "Hold on. The public doesn`t like us doing this, so we`re going to back off."

Meanwhile the lawyers say, "Casey, we`re going to try to make you look like a sympathetic character and then we`ll all come back to the table later." By then, I think it`s going to be too late.

HAMMER: It will be interesting to see what happens with that when she does have some down time here. It`s not the first time we`re hearing about the possibility of her getting some help either.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you there were actually some clues Casey could get psychiatric help back in July. This is when one of Casey`s attorneys, Cheney Mason, actually told "In Session" on our sister network Tru TV Casey would be going for professional help no matter what. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MASON: I`m sure she will. I`m sure it`s going to be very needed and helpful for her. She`s been through a lot. And I know for some people, they don`t care. But those of us who believe in the system - the jury`s pronounced her not guilty of the offenses - think of what she`s lost - her child, her family, her freedom.

I mean, she`s been in lockdown as serious as you can get. I`m sure that there will be arrangements made for her to get counseling and the help that she needs

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: All right, Sunny. Let me keep this point going because this fascinates me. If Casey, let`s say, does go off to this rehab - let me ask you this.

When she does eventually decide it`s time to cash in and get paid for that first interview, do you think the time away will more likely mean she`s going to get paid a lot less money?

Or do you think she`ll even get more money because we will have had some distance and people are still clamoring for her first interview?

HOSTIN: I think she`ll get more money, no question about it because the longer she stays out of the public eye, the thirst grows, right? The more we want to see her. The more we want to hear from her.

And then I think it also adds to the story because, now, she was in rehab. She was getting this mental health treatment. We want to know about that. We want to know what`s going on in Casey Anthony`s mind.

So I actually think she ends up getting more money. And I see Pat shaking her head no, but I definitely think that`s the case.

LALAMA: With all due respect, I think it`s going to be a dead story. I think we`re a fickle public. I think audiences move on to the next thing. I think they`re going to be tired. It`s over. I think this is all (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

(CROSS TALK)

HOSTIN: I`ll take that bet. I`ll take that bet, Pat. I`ll take that bet, Pat.

LALAMA: All right. We`ll see.

HOSTIN: I don`t think we`re getting tired of Casey Anthony.

LALAMA: Dinner -

HOSTIN: You got it, and I like the restaurants.

LALAMA: All right.

HOSTIN: I like the restaurants.

LALAMA: Me, too, girly.

HAMMER: Well, listen, no matter what ends up happening, it may be happening in Orlando, Florida. That`s where she now has to go back because of something she actually was convicted on, and that was check fraud. So she may be in rehab done there. Maybe she`ll do her first TV interview down there. I`m not exactly sure.

But right now, I do have to move on to breaking news. Could this be a sign the world is coming to an end? Lindsay Lohan caught partying like it`s 2006. And by that, I mean she`s partying with - wait for it - Paris Hilton.

Oh, the humanity. After Lindsay`s legal problems, rehab, a big star who has been to rehab is right here to take this on, "One Day at a Time" star Mackenzie Phillips. It`s a headline-making SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview. Wait until you hear what she thinks of this Lindsay-Paris reunion. So Sunny, Pat Lalama, stay right where you are.

TURNER: I`m just shaking my head. OK. We`re going to move on now to something we all know about - Kim Kardashian`s sex tape. It pretty much launched her career. Well, tonight, there just may be another Kardashian sex tape.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

K. JENNER: There is a sex tape nobody else knows.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It was the `90s. It was cool.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

TURNER: Startling news that Kim`s own mother is confessing to a sex tape. Like mother, like daughter? I don`t even want to think about this, A.J.

HAMMER: Pass the Purell, please. Tonight, a brand-new battle between two big stars. It`s not pretty. These guys sure smell nice.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ISAIAH MUSTAFA, "OLD SPICE GUY": I will end it.

FABIO LANZONI, MODEL: It will be hard to punish something you can`t see.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: It`s Fabio taking on the Old Spice guy. They are right here together in a SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview, next. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Time now for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Rep denies that Charlie Sheen will be on U.K.`s "Celebrity Big Brother." Lady Gaga performs her new single "You and I" on "The View."

(MUSIC)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

TURNER: And I`m Nischelle Turner. And tonight, A.J. - the scent of a winner.

HAMMER: Yes, it does smell, doesn`t it, Nischelle? After weeks of grueling Internet duels between the Old Spice guy, Isaiah Mustafa, and challenger, international superstar, Fabio, we have got a winner.

The Old Spice guy has kept his crown and maintains his reign as the Old Spice king. So what did I do? I got Fabio and Isaiah together to find out exactly how they felt about this friendly competition. Check out this SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(on camera): Isaiah, we`re here to offer you congratulations on your big victory. Everybody`s very excited.

So I have to ask you, how does it feel to have beaten Fabio, who is not only the king of butter substitute, but really, a sex symbol known around the universe?

MUSTAFA: It`s an honor. It was an honor to compete against such a worthy competitor.

HAMMER: Fabio, let me go to you. You`re not stranger with the ladies. Women swoon all over America and, as I said, perhaps the universe, if there are other women out there.

You`ve appeared in dozens of commercials and magazines, sporting in many cases, Fabio, not much more than that famous mane of yours. Are you surprised your sex symbol status did not help you beat Isaiah?

LANZONI: Let me tell you something. First of all, you know, I had so much fun. And when the Old Spice people hired me to all the new campaign with the fresh collection, they told me, you know, about this challenge and you`re going to have fun.

Isaiah is a great guy. He`s a fun guy. And I tell you, I had a blast. You know, it was a very silly contest. And the Old Spice people - they are really great.

HAMMER: We also had a great deal of fun just playing along with you, playing the home game, if you will. And you really did generate so much heat online.

There was even a little bit of name calling going on there. It kind of took me aback at first. But I want to take a look at a bit more of your spicy duel.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MUSTAFA: I am a man of peace and tranquility. And while I respect that you are the only man in history brave enough to challenge me, your shenanigans have upset the very balance of the galaxy. So now, I will end this.

LANZONI: It will be hard to punish something you can`t see.

MUSTAFA: I see you.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Isaiah, were you ever worried that perhaps Fabio would out-Spice you? Because he was gunning for you, man.

MUSTAFA: He was gunning for me. He was coming with a lot of resolve. And for a second there, you know, after having met him, I was a little worried.

HAMMER: Before I let you guys go, this is probably the only opportunity I`ll ever have do this. Charles, if can you can take the shot of the three of us up here. Guys, would do you your best Old Spice pose, if you will, your most romantic bring-the-women-in pose? Can we do this together?

How did we do, guys? Pretty good, guys? Pretty good? All right. Thanks very much, Isaiah, Fabio. Great to see you both and congratulations.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

I think I was the only one applauding. All right. Moving on, lots of calls coming into "Showbiz on Call" tonight about Casey Anthony and the shocking offer from the "Hustler" publisher, Larry Flynt.

TURNER: Yes, A.J. On HLN`s "NANCY GRACE," Larry offered Casey Anthony $500,000 to pose nude. Liz in Florida called up to say, well, she hates the idea.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

LIZ, CALLER FROM FLORIDA: This is about Casey Anthony and Larry Flynt offering her $500,000. That`s not the most a person offers. Normally, Hefner would give her $1 million, but he`s not doing this, not because he`s the greatest guy in the world but because he knows his ratings is going to go down.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

TURNER: Yes, thank you very much, Liz.

HAMMER: All right. We also heard from Christine calling in from Oklahoma. She is disgusted as well.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

CHRISTINE, CALLER FROM OKLAHOMA: I`m furious about offers going to Mr. Baez and Casey Anthony. For her to be in "Hustler" magazine for $500,000 plus 10 percent of the profits, that would be the ultimate disgrace to poor little Caylee.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

HAMMER: Thanks, Christine. So what do you think? Give us a buzz at "Showbiz on Call" about this or anything else on your mind. The "Showbiz on Call" phone lines are always open.

TURNER: Yes, they are. Call us at 1-888-SBT-BUZZ. That`s 1-888-728-2899. Leave us a voicemail and we will play some of your calls right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

HAMMER: And now, let`s move on to Nick Lachey getting married on TV again, this time to the lovely Vanessa Minnillo. But is it a good idea.

Nick has been down this reality TV road before. And we know with Jessica Simpson things didn`t work out there - Splitsville, of course. So tonight, I`ve got to ask, is he crazy to try this thing again? Or is he on to something?

TURNER: Also tonight, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Maria Shriver on a lunch date. Are they getting back together? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

HAMMER: And this is the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Rihanna making documentary featuring concert in her native Barbados. Ethan Hawke says shooting "Moby Dick" was really intense.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ETHAN HAWKE, ACTOR: I`ve never filmed a movie on the deck of a boat while you`re at the sea in the middle of a storm before. The boat is really pitching. Guys are getting (UNINTELLIGIBLE) off because they`re so sea sick.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: All right. I want you to check out this body of the year shocker, to some people anyway. The results are in. And the star with the sexiest body is 66-year-old Helen Mirren.

This is from a poll run by gym chain, L.A. Fitness. And in this thing, Helen Mirren topped model Elle McPherson, Jennifer Lopez and even Pippa Middleton, Duchess Catherine`s sister. Dame Helen - she`s darn hot.

TURNER: Yes, she is.

HAMMER: Over on the guy`s side - I need to get your take on this - it was David Beckham who topped the hottest bodies list. Any surprise there?

TURNER: Well, I mean, he`s definitely got the face. A little more chest for me would be nice, but I`m not complaining. And Ms. Helen -

HAMMER: Yes, what about that?

TURNER: Sixty-six years old of fineness. That`s all I have to say.

HAMMER: All right.

TURNER: I concur. Move over, J-Lo.

HAMMER: So we`re just going to say that`s fine and moving on.

TURNER: I say so.

HAMMER: Well, let`s move on to a big, big SHOWBIZ birthday tonight.

(MUSIC)

Ah, yes, 30 years ago today, August 1st, 1981 was the year MTV was launched with that video, Buggle`s "Video Killed the Radio Star." Nischelle, can you believe, 30 years?

TURNER: Did you see me doing my little video dance?

HAMMER: I did. I saw you did. I heard you singing along.

TURNER: Thirty years, wow.

HAMMER: Yes, it`s pretty incredible.

TURNER: That is.

HAMMER: And it`s boosted some big careers.

TURNER: It definitely has. Did you have like a personal MTV moment? I know I do.

HAMMER: Personal MTV moment? Sure. I mean, the whole launch of the thing and these veejays, these guys who got to go on TV and actually play music for a living. I thought it was pretty cool and I ended up doing that.

TURNER: Yes. Mine was Michael Jackson, of course. MTV did boost his career. People like Madonna. And of course, there`s no way Snooki would have ever ended up on TV without "The Real World" which debuted back in the early `90s.

HAMMER: So we know the Buggles` "Video Killed the Radio Star" was the first video, second video?

TURNER: A.J., I`m only 21. I mean, how am I supposed to know that?

HAMMER: Pat Benatar, who was huge at the time. And of course, they were, you know, echoing whatever was in the music world.

TURNER: Yes.

HAMMER: "You Better Run."

TURNER: "You Better Run."

HAMMER: You could have read it right here on my script.

TURNER: I could have, but I didn`t. Well, A.J., I know you were part of the MTV family and you played a huge part in building up MTV sister network, VH-1. In fact, I did a little digging and I found this.

HAMMER: Oh, good.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(on camera): When an ex-girlfriend of Matchbox 20 lead singer Rob Thomas heard that song, she called up Rob demanding royalties for being the inspiration to that song upon which Rob told her, "You`re not the ex- girlfriend was talking about."

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Hard to believe that was 30 years ago.

TURNER: Look at you!

HAMMER: The song was Matchbox 20`s "Push." I was at the Yo Philadelphia Festival at the time. It was great fun and great to be a part of.

But now, we move on to the SHOWBIZ lineup - here`s what`s coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Another Kardashian sex tape? Oh, no. Startling news - Kim`s mom`s confessing to a sex tape.

Head for the hills! Run for your life! Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan reportedly partying together again. That is nuts to me. Is Lindsay at risk here?

Tonight, a big star who`s been to rehab. Right here, she`s fired up. "One Day at a Time`s" Mackenzie Phillips in a headline-making SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Time now for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Charlie Sheen is reportedly paying for ex-wife Brooke Mueller`s rehab. Zara Phillips, Prince William`s cousin, marries rugby star, Mike Tindall.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Big news breaking tonight on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT - like mother like daughter? The startling confession that Kim Kardashian`s mom made a sex tape.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

K. JENNER: There is a sex tape nobody else knows.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It was the `90s. It was cool.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Tonight, more sex tape shame for the Kardashian clan?

And a train wreck reunion tonight. Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan reportedly partying together again. Is Lindsay risking a return to rehab?

A big star who has been to rehab sounds off on Lindsay Lohan`s partying with Paris. It`s "One Day at a Time`s" Mackenzie Phillips right here in a headline-making SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with Nischelle Turner.

TURNER: Yes. And there is more big news breaking tonight. Gaga gets personal - very personal - about the death of Amy Winehouse.

HAMMER: That`s right, Nischelle. Lady Gaga speaking out for the very first time tonight about how she was floored when she learned that Amy Winehouse had died.

And while it`s still not known if drugs himself something to do with why Winehouse died, Lady Gaga did share some secrets today about her own drug use. She revealed if it weren`t for her father, she may have been caught up in her own addiction battle.

Well, someone who knows all too well about addiction, former "One Day at a Time" star, Mackenzie Phillips who joins us from Hollywood tonight for a SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview.

Mackenzie`s amazing book about how she overcame addiction is called "High on Arrival" which has just come out in paperback. I encourage you to run and grab it. Mackenzie, always great to see you.

MACKENZIE PHILLIPS, ACTRESS AND AUTHOR: Thanks, A.J. Good to be here. Thanks.

HAMMER: And we`re so happy you`re here to talk about this. Lady Gaga made what I really felt was a heartfelt confession on "The View" this morning and really was just the beginning this remarkable string of revelations.

She revealed just how devastated she was when she learned that Winehouse was found dead in her London apartment. Watch what she said.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LADY GAGA, POP STAR: I`m just so devastated and so sad. And I really couldn`t speak for like 48 hours straight. I was in such shock.

And you know, I just think the most unfortunate thing about it all is the way that the media spins things like, "Oh, here we can learn from Amy`s death." I don`t feel that, you know, Amy needed to learn any lessons.

I felt that the lesson was for the world to be kinder to the superstar. Everybody was so hard on her and everything that I knew about her was that she was the most lovely and nice and kind woman.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I have to tell you I haven`t heard that take before. Mackenzie, you wrote about your own nearly lifelong battle with addiction in your book, "High on Arrival."

So I want your take as a recovering addict. Do you think Lady Gaga really has it right there? Is "be kinder to superstars" among the lessons to be learned from Amy`s tragic death?

PHILLIPS: I don`t think that "be kinder to superstars" is the lesson that needs to be learned. I think "be kinder just in general" needs to be learned. When I first heard of Amy`s passing, everyone was showing that outtake from the concert in Serbia over and over again.

And I felt that was like pushing it just a little too far when there are so many beautiful ways to remember Amy Winehouse, with beautiful concert footage. Maybe a tiny clip of the Serbia to say look what was going on in her life and then this is what she really could do.

HAMMER: Yes. I think -

PHILLIPS: Be kinder in general, I think.

HAMMER: And I think what that did, actually seeing that clip, just pointed out how the people around her and working with her needed to be kinder in keeping her from going up on that stage and saying, "Hey, we`re going to give it a rest for a while."

But even as Lady Gaga was sharing her pain on "The View" about Amy Winehouse, there were brand-new reports today that Amy was trying to secretly adopt a little girl from the Caribbean.

Now, the SHOWBIZ truth squad did check into this. Amy`s rep denied the adoption claims. But Mackenzie, you have said yourself and you have said in your book that having a son really helped you overcome your addiction.

I know Amy Winehouse was very close to her own family. So if she really had been close to adopting, do you think the responsibility of caring for a child is something that could have saved her?

PHILLIPS: I think certainly, for me, having my son so dependent on me and needing my guidance and stuff like that really brought it home to me that I needed to change my life.

I don`t think that in the - I don`t know for sure, this is all speculation on my part - but in the place that Amy was in her life just before her death, I don`t think that there would be any way she should have been adopting a child.

And from I what I`ve heard, the rumors were not true. But certainly, needing to be present to care for another being will help you, but it won`t change you. You know, your back has to be up against the wall.

I mean, I had to go out in handcuffs in order to realize I needed to turn my life around again. You know, people end up in jail. You know, things like this happen. But you don`t just decide one day, "Oh, I think I`m going to change," if you`re that far down the road of addiction. Something devastating and monumental has to occur in order to effect that psychic change, A.J.

HAMMER: Yes. And it`s something you`ve talked so candidly about in your own struggles of getting through it, which brings me to this.

I have to get your take in the fact there`s one person who has repeatedly ignored the pleas of her family through the years to get help for addiction and that`s Lindsay Lohan.

That brings us to more big news breaking today about Lindsay. Looks like she and Paris are besties again. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT learned today that Paris Hilton and Lindsay were reportedly partying over the weekend until 4:00 in the morning at a club in Malibu.

Mackenzie, even if Lindsay wasn`t drinking, isn`t she nuts to be tempting herself like this?

PHILLIPS: Well, you know, there are several schools of thought on this, A.J. I mean, there`s one school of thought that says the only thing you have to change is everything.

There`s another school of thought that just because it`s out there doesn`t mean you have to do it. You know, I mean, I spent the weekend in Malibu, but I was at a friend`s house. I wasn`t partying at a club.

And you know, it`s what you choose to surround yourself with will quite often dictate what happens in your life. And so - you know, I don`t know. Was Lindsay drinking? Was she using? Nobody knows.

We don`t know the answer to that. But I think, you know, especially in that early time in recovery, it`s best to stay away from slippery places -

HAMMER: Yes.

PHILLIPS: You know, places where - you know, it`s kind of a no-brainer.

HAMMER: Yes. It seems that way. It seems to sort of defy logic to me. And it also seems to me that if Paris Hilton is truly a good friend and this is not some sort of a PR stunt, then Paris Hilton isn`t going to take Lindsay Lohan to a club until 4:00 in the morning.

Mackenzie, I`ve got leave it there, but it is always terrific to see you.

PHILLIPS: OK. All right.

HAMMER: Thank you so much.

PHILLIPS: Great to see you, too. Thank you.

TURNER: I agree with you on that one, A.J. Tonight, Rosie to the rescues. Rosie O`Donnell`s brand-new show on Oprah Winfrey`s network may be just what the doctor ordered since the network has been struggling with ratings.

Last week, Jenny McCarthy said that she was leaving the network and taking her show with her. But today, we learned that Rosie and Oprah will be sharing the spotlight.

Rosie`s show will be on right before a brand-new show called "Own Your Own Light" that will highlight the best of Oprah`s TV talk show.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter sat down with Rosie for all the scoop on all of this in a SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

ROSIE O`DONNELL, TV PERSONALITY: Originally, it was slated for the afternoon. And now, we`re going to be on at 7:00. It sort of changed with the kind of show that we`re going to do.

And it`s going to be a little bit more of a hybrid sort of talk reality show where we`re going to show what it takes to get this kind of show up and running like Oprah did with "Behind the Scenes."

We`re going to mix that throughout the show and one celebrity guest, not necessarily somebody who is out promoting something but someone who has something to say.

KAREEN WYNTER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT CORRESPONDENT: Rosie, one thing America loves about you, you`re definitely a businesswoman, a celebrity who speaks her mind.

It`s not easy, though, launching this new talk show on a network that`s - let`s be honest. Even Oprah has been candid about it struggling in terms of ratings.

O`DONNELL: Yes.

WYNTER: What`s your concern - there`s a huge landscape of Oprah viewers who are hungry for the next big thing. What are you going to do to draw them to OWN? And are you at all concerned that this network is so fragile right now?

O`DONNELL: Well, I think that they jointly - Discovery and Oprah - made a decision to launch the network while they had the platform of her very successful talk show in the last season.

But perhaps it was premature, you know. Who knows? Now, she has given it her full attention. You should look at her track record. And she has a pretty good sense of who she is and what people enjoy about her and what matters to her.

And I don`t know another human in our current pop culture lexicon that has the kind of influence and overall kind of inspirational ability that she does. So I have complete faith. I never had the illusion that, you know, you would go to a startup network and it would be the same as going to, you know, an NBC, ABC, CBS.

But also, with this comes Oprah Winfrey and, to me, the trade-off for me is very worth it. So for critics to say, "Oprah`s empire is crumbling" or something -

WYNTER: It`s kind of too early for that.

O`DONNELL: I say that`s funny. I mean, honestly, you really - you can`t turn of the sun, honey.

WYNTER: Yes.

O`DONNELL: You might be able to have a cloudy day and people go, "I don`t think the sun exists anymore." But guess what happens the next day? The sun comes out again.

I mean, she is a force of nature, make no mistake. This is not a network that`s crumbling or a woman that`s going away. We`re just beginning.

WYNTER: Do you feel like you have a lot of creative control? You are the executive producer of this show, but how much creative control do you have in terms of shaping this?

O`DONNELL: A lot, and I have her team, and that`s the reason I went to Chicago. You know, it wasn`t because it would be easy for me. I mean, I have children and we have to accommodate the schedule and try to figure out how it was going to work for everybody.

So I knew, going in, that I was going to sort of make some sacrifices. But the upside of her staff, her team, that studio, her involvement in the way she can be involved in Chicago - those were all really essential to me.

So for me, it`s been the greatest kind of creative environment with a support team that`s phenomenal.

WYNTER: Jenny McCarthy said she didn`t have that creative control. She bailed on her talk show. Are you surprised by that?

O`DONNELL: With who?

WYNTER: She bailed. She had her show that would be launching on OWN and I`m sure you`ve heard about it - Jenny McCarthy.

O`DONNELL: She didn`t actually have a deal with OWN. You know, I know all the talent that they have and that they`re working with. I mean, I`m one of the, you know, many Jenny McCarthy fans over there.

I think that because she`s so beautiful, people don`t really realize how funny she is. She`s so funny. I don`t know if you remember her sitcom. It was hysterical. She did this thing where got her tongue pierced and couldn`t talk.

And she`s almost Lucille Ball-like in her physical comedy sense. But I think Jenny can do whatever she wants.

WYNTER: So never had a deal with OWN?

O`DONNELL: Not to my knowledge.

HAMMER: Moving on tonight, another Kardashian sex tape?

TURNER: Oh, gosh.

HAMMER: Yes. A disturbing story. Is Kim`s mom confessing to her own sex tape? Oh, this hurts my head. These people continue to take overexposure to remarkable new lows. The details, next.

TURNER: Arnold Schwarzenegger`s birthday wish come true? And his soon-to- be ex-wife Maria Shriver hanging out on his birthday? Are these two getting back together? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

HAMMER: Here comes the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: "Cowboys and Aliens" narrowly miss "Smurfs" this weekend, $36 million in ticket sales. James Franco tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT how he overcame troubled childhood.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JAMES FRANCO, ACTOR: We`re turning around. I got in enough trouble that I thought, "OK, you`d better turn around now or there are going to be some, like, you know, long-term consequences. And that`s when I really got serious about art and literature.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

TURNER: And I`m Nischelle Turner. And tonight, A.J., another Kardashian sex tape.

HAMMER: Seriously, Nischelle, I definitely do not want to go down this road ever again. Never.

TURNER: Too bad. We`re going. That`s exactly where we`re going. But this might not be the Kardashian you`re thinking of. Brace yourselves for this whopper, guys.

Joining me right now in Hollywood, Aubrey O`Day, the star of "All About Aubrey" on Oxygen. And right now, in Chicago, Kelli Zink, who is the host of "CelebTV.com."

OK, ladies. So we all know that the scandalous Kim Kardashian sex video was out there. Actually, it even made her famous. Well, get ready for this one. It turns out that her mother and her stepfather made one, too.

Now, you`ve got hear how Kris Jenner let the cat out of the bag on this one last night on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." Take a look.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

K. JENNER: Do you remember when we were living on Abington and we made that little tape because we decided it was a good idea.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Mom, don`t embarrass me.

(CROSS TALK)

K. JENNER: There is a sex tape nobody else knows.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It was the `90s. It was cool. It was immediately destroyed.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

TURNER: She`s not even my mother and that makes me uncomfortable. All right. So they destroyed the sex tape. Kidding. But Aubrey, you`ve got to marvel at the sick irony that Kim Kardashian`s own mother also made a sex tape. I guess, you know, the apple didn`t fall far from the tree.

AUBREY O`DAY, REALITY TV STAR, "ALL ABOUT AUBREY": Right. And obviously, that family`s willingness to do anything and everything is what the fans love. But I`m just thinking, you know, where do you go at this point? It`s like we need a compilation of all their greatest moments.

Like Kim can reenact the sex tape and she get her ass X-rayed at the same time. And then we can have Kris in the corner with bladder infection, peeing.

TURNER: Yes, all of it all at once. Kelli, I don`t know how you can top that, but they kept this dirty little secret hidden for years. But it seems lately that the entire Kardashian clan, like Aubrey was mentioning, has a problem with giving us a little too much TMI.

Let me give you some examples. Here we go. Like when Kim Kardashian had her butt X-rayed to prove she doesn`t have implants.

Or Khloe, remember? She brought the cameras to her gynecologist appointment. Or the girls outing their mom for bladder problems. I mean, come on, Kelli. I get that it`s a reality, but seriously, talking about bladder problems? How is that entertainment?

KELLI ZINK, HOST, "CELEBTV.COM": We also saw a bikini wax on TV, too. Don`t forget about that gem. You know, my only concern is that they`re worried about their younger daughter being on birth control and being introduced to sex.

Well, if you`ve talking about sex that freely all the time, guess what? The young ones are going to hear it, too. So that`s my only concern. I mean, obviously, we know this is for TV. It`s for ratings and it`s selling, so let them have fun. And, more power to them they`re in love, right?

TURNER: Yes. You can`t knock their hustle. They`re definitely making the money. And A.J., you know, I actually like them. I really do like them, but, seriously, isn`t it time to just back, back, back away from the cameras a little bit?

HAMMER: Yes, particularly when they`re in the bedroom in those private sort of situations. Please. I mean, come on.

Well, there is another Hollywood royal family who has been seriously shying away from the cameras. I`m talking about Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver. But they were caught by the cameras having lunch together for Arnold`s 64th birthday. In fact, Maria even reportedly picked up the tab.

Aubrey, I am hearing this and I think it`s great they`re putting their family first, particularly in light of their son just getting out of the hospital. But I do not think that we should be reading into this that they`re getting back together, should we?

O`DAY: No. They shared a life and kids together for decades. This is just more of an obligation to family and also keeping respect between someone that you spent so much time with and loved so dearly. I think just because they were seen together does not mean that they are back together.

HAMMER: And Kelli, don`t you think this just puts, you know, Maria right there on the fast track for sainthood? She was already on the path.

ZINK: Yes, but also kind of crazy-hood. I mean, I`m not taking any of my exes out to lunch, especially those guys - if they cheated, and I`m not picking up the check. So while you appreciate the (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

(CROSS TALK)

O`DAY: Kelli, your exes want you.

HAMMER: Listen, I think -

ZINK: You know -

HAMMER: I think that, today, she`s putting family first. I can`t give her any more credit for that. I think that is terrific, without further ado. Got to leave it there. Aubrey O`Day and Kelli Zink, thank you as always.

HAMMER: Right now, we move on to Angelina`s acting bombshell. Is she really giving up showbiz for good? Plus, as J-Lo prepares to divorce Marc Anthony, her war against another ex is taking a dramatic turn. We`ve got new details in "The Buzz Today."

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) Judgment for J-Lo. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has confirmed Jennifer Lopez scored a victory in her home video court battle with her first husband, Ojani Noa.

A California appeals court ruled in favor J-Lo agreeing to move her invasion of privacy case to arbitration instead of it playing out in the public court. Lopez is suing her ex to prevent the release of her reported 11 hours of personal home videos they made during their marriage, which lasted 11 months.

Is Angelina overacting? The Oscar winner says moviegoers may see less of her and Brad Pitt on the big screen. In an interview with the "Financial Times" Jolie said she and Pitt plan to pull back a bit on their craft.

Jolie also revealed that acting is like a form of therapy that was useful to her when she was younger, "I`m older now and I know who I am. I`m less interested in the character helping me answer something than in being able to answer it for myself as a woman, as an adult, with my family."

TURNER: Nick Lachey is a newlywed again. He just got married on TV again. Seriously, either Nick`s an eternal or completely out of his mind to do a wedding reality TV again.

(MUSIC)

Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dares to ask, "Will Nick Lachey`s love survive this time around? The fired-up debate, next. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - these are more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Kings of Leon cancels remainder of U.S. tour dates. Jimmy Fallon and NBC`s Brian Williams do "Slow Jam the News" about the debt ceiling.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JESSE JAMES, REALITY TV STAR: You`re crazy.

KAT VON D, REALITY TV STAR: You love me?

JAMES: Yes, I love you.

KAT VON D: I thought you were going to tell me you`re breaking up with me. Just kidding.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

TURNER: Yes, well, that didn`t go so well, did it? Yes. So Kat Von D. and Jesse James split before this episode even aired on TV. Did they suffer the curse of the reality show romance? Let`s home the same fate doesn`t happen for another reality show romance.

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo just married in an extravagant island wedding, and they made it into a brand-new wedding bonanza special that just hit TLC, "Nick and Vanessa`s Dream Wedding." But are they setting themselves up for the reality romance curse?

Joining me right now in Hollywood, Aubrey O`Day from Oxygen`s "All About Aubrey."

OK. So Aubrey, we know what a reality show did to Nick Lachey`s last marriage to Jessica Simpson - over.

O`DAY: Right.

TURNER: So Aubrey, explain it to me. Why? Why would the guy go and put his second marriage out there for the world to see. Is he jinxing himself here?

O`DAY: Attention? No. Listen, relationships fall apart with or without cameras. If their relationship is real and will, you know, be that of forever, then it will endure the lights, camera, action.

And at the end of the day, reality show is about reality and reality is about ups and downs. You can`t just show all of the success or the highs or it doesn`t really end up working.

You have to show the lows. You have to show the struggles. You have to show the ups and downs. So I think as long as him and Vanessa are real on their reality show and they give us the honest scoop of their life and their marriage, the highs and the lows, you know, it has the potential to do well. They`re both good looking people. I`d watch it.

TURNER: You know, I would say though the cameras do add some added pressure. And I know, for one - I hope this is it for them. I`m rooting for them. And Aubrey, we thank you very much.

O`DAY: Root for me. I need a man!

HAMMER: I`m rooting for you. I`m rooting for you, Aubrey. All right. But we have to move now from Nick putting a ring on it to Miley Cyrus` new ring-finger tattoo. You have got to see this. And I`m going to tell you why this has sparked an all-out Twitter brawl. The ink and outrage coming up, next.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Miley`s new ink outrage. Miley Cyrus just tweeted a picture of her latest tattoo. It`s of an equal sign and has the message "All love is equal" on it. Now, it`s presumed that Miley`s tattoo reveals her continued support of gay marriage.

And not all of her fans are into her ink. This photo actually sparked a heated Twitter war between her fans but Miley shot back.

She was doing her best to quiet the drama by tweeting this to one of her female followers, "Where does it say in the Bible to judge others? Oh, right, it doesn`t. God is the only judge, honey. God is love." Good for her.

TURNER: You know you put "honey" in it, you mean business.

HAMMER: Well, that is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Great hanging out with you tonight, Nischelle. I`m A.J. Hammer.

TURNER: Yes, thank you. And I`m Nischelle Turner. Remember you can catch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusively Monday to Friday at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific right here on HLN.

HAMMER: Coming up next, dr. Drew sounds off on the very latest in the sex assault trial of polygamous leader, Warren Jeffs. Dr. Drew on HLN starts right now.
