(MUSIC)

Hello. I`m Carlos Diaz, in for A.J. Hammer with big news breaking tonight -- Oh, sure, as in oh, "shore," the Situation is going to be the next Leo DiCaprio. Or as in oh, shore, Snooki is going to be the next big Meryl Streep.

Maybe I should say as if. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT learned today that some of the stars of the reality show, "Jersey Shore," may need a serious reality check like Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino who just proclaimed that he could possibly see himself at next -- wait for it -- Leo DiCaprio.

Yes, the next king of the world. But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that that just may be one great big titanic pipe dream.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) Maybe it`s all that fist-pumping, all that drinking and all those blows to the head. But today, the gang from the reality show, "Jersey Shore," is having one big weird idea, that they`re going to make the move to movies.

BRIAN BALTHAZAR, EDITOR, "POPGOESTHEWEEK.COM": It seems like it`s never enough for the "Jersey Shore" cast. Suddenly now, they think they`re the next great actor.

DIAZ: The Situation tells "In Touch Weekly," quote, "My true ambitions lie in TV and film. Obviously, I look up to Robert De Niro and Al Pacino and someone who is closer in age, Leo DiCaprio. I`d eventually like to make great movies someday."

BALTHAZAR: The Situation thinks he can be the next Leo DiCaprio. Is he dreaming?

LEONARDO DICAPRIO, ACTOR: Dreams -- is she real or real in my mind?

DIAZ: Maybe someone implanted that idea in his head like in "Inception." But Sitch isn`t the only "Jersey Shore" cast member who`s gone Hollywood.

Today, it was reported that "Jersey Shore" cast members have actually filmed a cameo in a major Hollywood motion picture, a reboot of the classic comedy team, "The Three Stooges."

The "Jersey Shore" in "The Three Stooges"? Well, they do share the same approach to conflict resolution. So you have The Situation threatening to become the next Leo DiCaprio, the "Jersey Shore" gang in a major motion picture and the entire cast telling SHOWBIZ TONIGHT they want to go into acting.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I hope to continue the acting thing.

DIAZ: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you what`s coming to pass was foretold on "South Park," when the "Jersey Shore" gang took over country.

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: Everything east of the Rockies is now part of New Jersey.

DIAZ: And next on their hit list might be Hollywood. Over the past 48 hours, the hard-partying cast of "Jersey Shore" has staged a blitzkrieg of talk shows.

NICOLE "SNOOKI" POLIZZI, REALITY TV STAR, "THE JERSEY SHORE": People are like, "Oh, my god. You can read?" I went to school, like, you know, I went to college. I know how to read.

DIAZ: This morning on "Good Morning America," Snooki talked about her intellectual prowess and her slipper line.

POLIZZI: Slippers are awesome. I mean, you can wear these to work because they have the sole.

DIAZ: Pauly D went on "Live with Regis and Kelly" this morning to talk about his plans for his own reality show.

PAUL "PAULY D" DELVECCHIO, REALITY TV STAR, "JERSEY SHORE": I`ve got to give the people what they want.

DIAZ: And both Snooki and Pauly D went on "Access Hollywood Live" to explain why they`re so popular.

POLIZZI: Because we`re awesome.

DIAZ: But with all the interest, the things "Jersey Shore" cast members seem to be talking about most these days other than their hookups --

POLIZZI: I`ve come already. You know, I don`t hook up anymore.

DIAZ: Is their inner thespian.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I like acting.

DIAZ: We in SHOWBIZ TONIGHT recently spoke to the "Jersey Shore" cast members in the infamous "smoosh room," but they didn`t talk about smooshing. They talked about acting.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Long term, I would like to be an actor.

POLIZZI: I would like to start acting.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That`s something I want to get into -- is acting, probably.

DIAZ: So do these guys have a future in Hollywood? Journalist/comic Brian Balthazar says --

BALTHAZAR: No way. I really think it`s highly unlikely that America is going to embrace them as anything other than drinking, partying, ridiculous characters.

DIAZ: But it`s not wise to bet against the power that is "Jersey Shore."

DELVECCHIO: I`m in Italy and it`s -- Situation, you`re next.

DIAZ: Last week, "Jersey Shore`s" season premiere attracted almost nine million viewers, making it MTV`s highest-rated season premiere ever. And maybe that popularity might extend to Hollywood. After all, stranger things have happened.

BALTHAZAR: In Hollywood, anything is possible.

DIAZ: So as the "Jersey Shore" takes over Italy this season, Hollywood might be next to fall. And Leonardo DiCaprio might have reason to fear an "Inception" reboot called "In Situation."

(END VIDEOTAPE)

All right, people. We`ve got a real situation on our hands, which is why we`re asking our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint tonight -- could the situation - - I can`t even finish this -- have a Hollywood career like Leo DiCaprio?

All right. Let`s go over to Rob Shuter. He writes for "Pop Eater`s" "Naughty But Nice" column. Rob, with a straight face, answer the question.

ROB SHUTER, COLUMNIST, "POPEATER.COM": Oh, I`m going to surprise you here. The answer`s yes. He absolutely can do this. If someone had told me four years ago a gym instructor from Jersey would be earning $5 million a year, I would have laughed.

This guy keeps proving us wrong. Nine million people almost tuned in to watch the show. He can definitely go Hollywood.

DIAZ: Did you see the roast of Donald Trump with The Situation on there? Did you witness that?

SHUTER: I was actually there that night. He wasn`t that good that night. But I don`t think you need to be good to necessarily have a hit movie.

DIAZ: All right. All right. We did learn today that The Situation is breaking into the movie business, sort of. He just landed a cameo role in the upcoming big budget movie, "The Three Stooges." It`s a remake. And yes, I`m tempted to say --

Over to you, Dawn Yanek. Dawn is the editor-at-large at "Life and Style" magazine. Dawn, what do you think? Any chance The Situation could have a career like Leo DiCaprio?

DAWN YANEK, EDITOR-AT-LARGE, "LIFE AND STYLE WEEKLY": I don`t think Leonardo has anything to worry about. To put it bluntly, there is not a chance in hell that he`s sure to have that amazing of a career.

Now, maybe he`s daring to dream. Maybe he`s delusional. But I tend to think that The Situation is doing something he does really well, which is getting press for himself.

DIAZ: Yes.

YANEK: This is not his first season of "Jersey Shore." It`s not his first round of press. He knows that if he says something outrageous and invokes a beloved A-list actor like Leonardo DiCaprio, it going to get press.

He is a master of marketing. He has done really well at branding himself. And he has expanded past the "Jersey Shore." But come on, people. There are limits.

DIAZ: The Situation is a genius. All right. Let`s change topics. I can tell you that we`ll have to wait a long time before we know what happens with the Sitch. But we only have to wait a week and a half before the wedding of another reality star, Kim Kardashian.

The invites have been sent. The hype is beyond belief. But tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dares to ask, is there any danger of it being called off?

Dawn, your magazine, "Life and Style Weekly," reported today Kim`s ex, Reggie Bush, wants Kim to come back to him. What`s up with that?

YANEK: That`s right. Multiple sources close to Kim are telling us that Reggie has been texting her, calling her, has asked a friend intervene on his behalf. He had her call her. And he wants her to give him another chance.

Now, the thing is Kim is never going to give him another chance. This wedding is definitely going to happen. She`s in love. She wants it to move forward. At first, she was trying to, you know, stay friends with Reggie, but enough is enough at this point.

DIAZ: We did reach out to Kim and Reggie`s camp today about the report and have not heard back from them as of show time.

But here`s someone we did hear from, Kim`s best friend, Lala Vasquez. We caught up with Lala last night in Hollywood where she was sporting her new reality show on VH-1.

And we asked her if she thinks all the comparisons between Kim`s wedding and the royal wedding were fair. Watch what she told us.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LALA VASQUEZ, KIM KARDASHIAN`S BEST FRIEND: I think it`s the royal wedding of the United States, absolutely. The butterflies are coming for all of us now because -- I`m like, we`re almost like two weeks away. You know, it`s coming up.

So we`re really, really excited and her sisters are, you know, in the wedding. You know, in that family, there`s a lot of them. So you could cover all the bridesmaids with the sisters.

But just happy to be there and just kind of going through this journey with her and seeing her so happy right now.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Rob, you`ve got 10 seconds. Do you see this wedding being called off?

SHUTER: Absolutely not. There`s so much money at stake. She`s going to make millions from this wedding. She will get married and maybe divorced, but the wedding is happening.

DIAZ: Rob Shuter, you`re the best. Dawn Yanek, I thank you so much. All right. Moving on tonight to Sandra Bullock and the amazing way she has bounced back from her devastating split from her no-good cheating husband, Jesse James. Is Sandra now dating Ryan Reynolds?

Now, here`s something you don`t hear of day, stars being slammed tonight for losing weight. Jennifer Hudson. Kelly Osbourne. Why so much hating on these guys for slimming down?

And Hollywood remake madness. "Dirty Dancing," "Footloose," and now, "Bewitched." Will these re-dos be big hits or total misses? Our fired-up showdown, next. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" -- more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Gavin DeGraw released from N.Y. hospital after assault, cancels two tour dates. Kim Kardashian`s friend, Lala Vasquez on Kim getting married --

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

VASQUEZ: I`m going to be at the wedding, definitely. I`m one of her best friends, and we`re so happy that she`s getting married just like you would be if one of your best friends is getting married. I`ve been sworn to secrecy, but you know, I always give my honest opinion. I tell her what I like, what I don`t like, what I think.

You know, she`s going to be the most beautiful bride and everyone`s going to be blown away. You`ve got to leave something for people to want. You can`t tell it all right now, and it`s coming soon. It`s not like we`re going to leave people a waiting a year to find out, you know.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: We`ve got to get going. What does your watch say? Don`t say nothing. You`ve got to look at it.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: It`s a done deal. Five guidos will join "Three Stooges" as the cast of "Jersey Shore" make good on their promise to go Hollywood.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Carlos Diaz, in for A.J. Hammer. Tonight, hit or miss?

There is a serious case of remake madness in Hollywood right now. First, word that the "Jersey Shore" cast will make cameos at a new movie version of "The Three Stooges."

And now, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you CBS has ordered a revamp of the TV favorite, "Bewitched." But are all these remakes destined to be Hollywood hits or mad, mad misses?

Who better to tell us than "CelebTV.com" host, Kelli Zink, who joins us right now in Chicago. Kelli, OK. I`ve got to ask, help me out here, remakes, reboots, re-imaginings, whatever.

It seems like breathing new life into an old hit has become Hollywood 101. But "Bewitched"? Really? I mean, they tried that on the big screen in 2005 with Nicole Kidman and it totally flopped. So will a TV version be a hit or a miss?

KELLI ZINK, HOST, "CELEBTV.COM": Well, Carlos, I think we have to take this into consideration. The CBS audience is one that maybe is more comfortable at home. They have these mass TV shows that feel a little bit older.

So maybe they`re not the people going out and watching the movie. And maybe if we see the cast as someone younger, then, maybe we`ll have a whole different kind of appeal. So I think it`s really up to who is cast if the show is going to be a hit or not.

DIAZ: Kelli, you said the word "maybe" a few times in there. And that, to me --

ZINK: I know.

DIAZ: I like -- maybe this. If maybe this happens. Maybe. OK. This news comes on the heels of reports that a new "Dirty Dancing" movie is in the works. And of course, there`s the remake of "Footloose." Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: He`s cute.

UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: You think everybody`s cute.

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: Hey, watch where you`re going, little guy.

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: Where are you from? You talk funny.

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: I talk funny? You should hear you from my end.

UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: Can I say something?

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: First sign of the police, I`m going to pull the plug.

UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: What, you can`t keep up?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: "Footloose" comes out in mid-October. Will it be a pre-Halloween hit or a monstrous miss? Kelli, your thoughts?

ZINK: I think "Footloose" is going to be a hit, OK? Julianne Hough is amazing. She`s got Ryan Seacrest behind her for the PR. And she`s got the dance moves.

I think it going to be younger and fresh. And it`s going to be hip and a new take on a film that maybe this generation hasn`t seen.

Maybe the parents will take their kids and they`ll have something to share after and say, "Oh, this is the movie I saw, and this is the new one." I think it`s going to be fun, maybe not winning an Academy Award. But it will be a fun one to go to.

DIAZ: All right. But since Hollywood is so hot on remakes, the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT staff came up with our own favorites. But which one of these entertainment classics should be reborn?

Here we go -- "Three`s Company," "Little House on the Prairie" or "Breakfast at Tiffany`s." Out of those three, Kelli, what`s your pick?

ZINK: "Three`s Company" if I had to choose any of them. Don`t touch "Breakfast at Tiffany`s," please, and "Little House on the Prairie." That`s a snooze fest just waiting to happen. I mean, come on.

DIAZ: I think if you put the Kardashians in for "Little House on the Prairie," you`ve got a hit right there. I think Jessica Simpson was born to play the Suzanne Somers role, by the way, so we`re already casting "Three`s Company. I like that.

All right. Kelli Zink, thank you so much. Great job as always.

Tonight, the Situation, Snooki and Pauly D had better watch out because we may have found their match.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: My mother-in-law has to realize that (UNINTELLIGIBLE). You can`t be showing the good. It should not be seen, that`s it.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: That`s one of the so-called "Russian Dolls." A brand-new show, Brooklyn`s answer to "Jersey Shore" and it`s airing up against it. One of the dolls, Marina, is right here in our SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview. It`s coming up next.

And the worldwide obsession with Pippa Middleton tonight. Why everyone wants Catherine`s sister`s butt, her tan. So we`ve got to ask, is Pippa now more famous than Duchess Catherine?

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" -- more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Emma Stone and Olivia Wilde are the new faces of Revlon. Joe Jonas debuts new song, "Love Slayer."

DIAZ: Now, the SHOWBIZ buzz list. These are things we can`t stop buzzing about all week. Throw your diamonds in the air. We`re jamming to Jay-Z and Kanye West`s new album, "Watch the Throne."

So bad it`s good. We`re buzzing about all the drama on the new season of "Bachelor Pad." Well worth the wait -- we love Gillian Welch`s new album, "The Harrow and the Harvest."

The thrill of the antiques hunt sucks us in and we`re hooked on "American Pickers" on the History Channel.

And grab a glass of sweet tea and some tissues. We`re buying our tickets to "The Help." This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED ACTRESS: I`d like to do a book of interviews about working for white families. I`d like to show what it`s like to work for, say, Elizabeth.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: More of J-Lo on "Idol." "American Idol`s" executive producer Nigel Lythgoe confirmed today that Jennifer Lopez will be coming back to the show next season. Lythgoe broke the news on Ryan Seacrest`s radio show this morning.

Judges J-Lo, Steven Tyler, Randy Jackson and host Ryan Seacrest are all set to return. But it`s not officially official yet. As of show time, Fox did not confirm this and there`s still no word if J-Lo is really getting $20 million to do another season.

On Tuesday, we asked to you vote in our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll -- Jennifer Lopez`s reported $20 million "American Idol" deal -- does Steven Tyler deserve a big raise, too? Seventy-three percent of you say yes. Twenty-seven percent of you say no.

Over to the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook wall. Sherry D. writes, "I think Steven Tyler is worth the money. Jennifer Lopez, not really."

Dewi W. doesn`t think either deserves the big bucks. He writes, "The show is so dull with everyone trying to be nice and politically correct."

All right. Switching gears. Tonight, Rebecca Black bullied. Black`s "Friday" was a huge hit. It got more than 150 million views on YouTube, including me. But with Black`s heavily auto-tuned and her love-it-or-hate- it hook, some called it the worst song ever.

(MUSIC)

And tonight, in an ABC special, the 14-year-old star says she got teased so badly she had to leave school. Her mom pulled her out and she`s home-schooling her now.

But Black has bounced back. She`s got a new single out called "My Moment" and got the ultimate compliment when Katy Perry asked her to star in her video for "Last Friday Night."

(MUSIC)

And to all the Rebecca Black haters out there, and this is just for the haters, remember, she is the star now and you`re not.

And now, the SHOWBIZ lineup -- here`s what`s coming up at the bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Skinny star-bashing. The explosive and ridiculous attacks today on stars for losing so much weight. Jennifer Hudson. Kelly Osbourne. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT asks, why the hating for shedding pounds?

How Sandra got her groove back. Breaking news tonight about how Sandra Bullock has bounced back from her split with her cheating ex-hubby, Jesse James. And is Sandra now dating Ryan Reynolds? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" -- more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Lindsay Lohan`s little sis, Ali, signs modeling contract. "The Help" star Viola Davis on reports that she may get an Oscar nomination --

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

VIOLA DAVIS, ACTRESS: The O-word -- it makes me tense. But you know what? Good. Good problems to have. It doesn`t matter. I just feel really proud that people like the movie.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

DIAZ: Big news breaking tonight on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT -- how Sandy got her groove back. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT breaks news about how Sandra Bullock rebuilt her life after her split with cheating ex-hubby, Jesse James.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC)

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It`s 30 minutes past the hour. I`m Carlos Diaz, in for A.J. Hammer with big news breaking today -- Sandra Bullock back in the groove and the cover girl of the brand-new issue of "People" magazine.

It revealed today what could be the next title of her next movie. Take a look at this, "How Sandra Got Her Groove Back." And today, we learned fascinating new details about how Sandra did get her groove back following her explosive divorce from that guy, Jesse James.

And I can tell you by the looks of it, Sandra is truly back and better than ever. We also learned today new information about all those reports regarding Sandra`s love life and her co-star, Ryan Reynolds.

With me right now in New York is Blaine Zuckerman, who is a staff writer for "People" magazine. All right, I got to say, hooray for Sandra and here`s why. Sandra has passed the one-year mark from her divorce from her cheating ex, that scoundrel, Jesse James.

Well, this month she celebrates the first anniversary of her adoption of baby Louis and she is getting ready to come back to the big screen in, not one, but two big movies co-starring George Clooney in "Gravity" and Tom Hanks in "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close."

Blaine, two movies two movies and she is juggling her baby boy`s schedule. What did people learn about how she`s managing all of this?

BLAINE ZUCKERMAN, STAFF WRITER, "PEOPLE MAGAZINE": Well, really, what it comes down to is priorities. She`s made it apparent that there is one priority in her life and that is Baby Louis. She was with him at all times and he is bringing her so much joy that she`s really what`s helped her get her groove back.

DIAZ: Well, Blaine, what did "People" magazine also learn about how Sandra has finally put Jesse James in her rear-view mirror, out of her life?

ZUCKERMAN: Well, it`s been a year, as you said. And through that year, she`s kept a really great, close-knit group of people around her.

But everyone is saying she`s ready for the next chapter in her life. This has made her stronger. Getting through this horrible experience with Jesse, and having this time to bond with Louis, working on these projects with amazing people like you`ve mentioned, has put her in a position where she`s now ready for romance.

DIAZ: Now, that brings us to next subject. I mean, we`ve talked about her life. That`s in check. Her career doing great. But what about her love life, Blaine? There have been so many reports that she and Ryan Reynolds had something going on.

You know, they co-starred together in "The Proposal." What did "People" magazine reveal about that? Any romance there?

ZUCKERMAN: Here`s the thing. We can confirm that they love each other very much. But it`s not in that romantic way. It`s truly, as our friends say, like brother and sister.

So I don`t think there`s going to be any romance coming up in the near future. We`ve heard that it`s strictly platonic. They`re like a family, but they`re not like husband and wife.

DIAZ: How can you not -- she`s hot. He`s hot. Why can`t they get together? All right. Fine.

ZUCKERMAN: You know, I think we`d all love for that to happen.

DIAZ: Yes. I mean, they`re funny, they`re attractive. All right. So if not Ryan --

ZUCKERMAN: Fingers crossed.

DIAZ: Yes. How about George Clooney? I mean, they just finished working on that movie "Gravity." I think they`d make a great couple.

ZUCKERMAN: They`d make an amazing couple. And certainly, when people started spotting them doing scenes together in London, everyone was very optimistic.

They`re certainly compatible. They have similar careers. But really, this is not a new chemistry that was forming between them. They`ve been buds since way back before we knew who they were.

They came up to the ranks in Hollywood together. And again, while they`re very close, everyone says their moment for romance has really passed.

DIAZ: All right. You know, when you break up, you usually hook up with your buds, that`s all I`m saying. Blaine Zuckerman, thank you so much. You are the man.

ZUCKERMAN: Thank you.

DIAZ: And you can pick up the new issue of "People" magazine this Friday on newsstands everywhere.

All right. From bombshells about Sandra Bullock to Russian babes taking the country by storm. I have got to move on to even more big breaking news today. Move over "Jersey Shore" and the stars Snooki and Sammi because the Russians are coming. The Russians are coming.

The babes of Brighton Beach are about to make their big debut on the same night and the same time slot as "Jersey Shore." Hey. Oh.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Gossip, gossip.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Drama. Drama.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That`s how every single Russian girl is.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: There are some real bitches on Brighton Beach.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Walk out right now if you don`t care.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Russians are known for having a great time.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You think your mother-in-law`s crazy? Mine thinks she`s 25.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: People are going to point at you and laugh you. You`re going to be a joke.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Ouch. With me right now, the doll who mouthed off to her mother-in- law, Marina Levitis. All right. I`ve got to say it takes a special woman to mouth off to her mother-in-law while the TV cameras are rolling, Marina. Good for you. Why are you not afraid of her?

MARINA LEVITIS, REALITY TV STAR, "RUSSIAN DOLLS": I am not afraid of anybody, and definitely not afraid of her.

DIAZ: OK. OK. So you can handle your mother-in-law, but I`ve got to ask, you know, you`ve been hearing about the whole head-to-head thing. You`re going head-to-head with the cast of "Jersey Shore," because your show is going on at the same exact time.

Marina, "Jersey Shore" has got it all. It`s got fist-pumping, fights, hookups. They`ve got it all covered. What does Brighton Beach have that Seaside Heights does not have?

LEVITIS: Our show is a lot more than just that aspect. We are not just partiers. We have several generations of women. I`m in my 30s, raising a family, running a business, dealing with a mother-in-law who needs to be put in check all the time.

I have my friends that are in their 40s. They have their kids that are already grown up. And we have the "Jersey Shore" part of it with the young kids hooking up and having fun.

So I think we have more than "Jersey Shore" to offer. There`s a little bit of everything for everybody. Everybody can relate to us. You have to watch.

DIAZ: OK. I`ve got to tell you, you know, you have a reputation of being the diva on the show. I`ve got to ask, I`ve got to get your take on what your cast member, Sveta(ph), is saying about you behind your back. Check this out.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SVETA, REALITY TV STAR, "RUSSIAN DOLLS": Marina and I came to the United States almost at the same time. Basically, she thinks she`s the centerpiece of the universe, so everybody should revolve around her.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Marina, are we going to see any showdowns between you and Sveta?

LEVITIS: You have to stay tuned and watch.

DIAZ: No, no, no. You do not get away with that on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Are you guys going to throw down? Answer the question.

LEVITIS: Yes, we will.

DIAZ: OK, good. Very good. Now, "Jersey Shore" gave us buzzwords like "GTL" and "smoosh." What will "Russian Dolls" give us?

LEVITIS: You have to wait and see. I can`t give you all the goods today.

DIAZ: What? Is this like a KGB interrogation going on here?

LEVITIS: You`re the interrogator. I know how to handle you.

DIAZ: Answer the question.

LEVITIS: We are what we are. We represent the Russian-Americans in this country. We have our beautiful girls. We have our beautiful clothes. We rule our world and we are the divas. So we`re going to have more than just "Jersey Shore." You have to wait and see.

DIAZ: Well, you are certainly very beautiful.

LEVITIS: Thank you.

DIAZ: And certainly very tight-lipped.

LEVITIS: Thank you.

DIAZ: You just -- you won`t -- you can catch "Russian Dolls" on Lifetime tomorrow night. Marina, thank you so much. Mila`s weight wars. Tonight, Mila Kunis` controversial new words for people trying to shed pounds. Why she says stop making excuses for not losing weight.

Plus, a skinny star backlash in Hollywood tonight. Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Osbourne, slammed for losing weight. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dares to ask, what`s wrong with shedding the pounds?

And Pippa madness. The worldwide obsession with Duchess Catherine`s sister, Pippa Middleton from her famous bum to her perfect tan. Is Pippa now even more famous than Catherine? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" -- more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Lindsay Lohan`s ex, Samantha Ronson, charged with two DUI counts. Kim K.`s best friend Lala Vasquez talks to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT about Kim`s big wedding --

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

VASQUEZ: Kris and Melo have known each other for years. They play basketball as teenagers in different basketball leagues. Kris plays for the Nets in New Jersey and Melo plays in New York.

We`re like, OK, We didn`t plan this, but this is also cool, you know?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

DIAZ: That is the lovely Freida Pinto from the Oscar-winning movie, "Slum Dog Millionaire" with her real-life boyfriend, Dev Patel.

Freida is now starring in the blockbuster movie, "Rise of the Planet of the Apes." But tonight, Freida is calling herself hideous.

She tells the U.K. edition of "In Style" magazine she hates Skyping her boyfriend because of her looks, "I also feel it`s this pressure. Oh, my god. He`s seeing me after two weeks. I hope my hair is OK. It`s hideous. I think even the most beautiful person looks stupid on Skype."

All right. Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Carlos Diaz, in for A.J. Hammer.

Tonight, slamming skinny stars. At first, that kind of sounds crazy, but it`s true. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you there is outrageous backlash in Hollywood today against stars who dramatically drop weight, from Kelly Osbourne to Jennifer Hudson. When curvy stars get slim, the thin-bashing begins.

Here we are with a very personal take right now. It`s author and confidence expert, Jess Weiner, who wrote a very, very personal article, an amazing article in September`s "Glamour Magazine" about her own dramatic weight loss journey.

Now, you got a major reality check about your weight when your doctor basically said, diet or else. Jess, knowing that your whole platform is about taking on Hollywood`s weight obsession and accepting your body as is, what went through your mind when your doctor said the D-word to you?

JESS WEINER, AUTHOR AND CONFIDENCE EXPERT: Right. And a quick correction on that, Carlos. She actually didn`t say, "Diet or else." She said you are dangerously close to being pre-diabetic.

And I had to face the fact as a body image expert and confidence expert for 17 years that I did love my body and I do love my body, but I wasn`t doing enough to take care of my health, and that was the wake-up call.

So she was familiar that I don`t endorse diets. I don`t think diets work, but that I was up for a lifestyle change, and that included weight loss as well as looking at a whole other variety of numbers that most women don`t look at -- blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar.

So for me, it was quite a provocative wake-up call considering what I do for a living.

DIAZ: OK. In your piece, you also address stars getting slammed for losing so much weight. Jennifer Hudson confessed to losing 80 pounds and now claims to wear a size zero and that has caused a firestorm on blogs everyhwere.

People are -- think that Jennifer is yet another Hollywood star who claimed to love her curves and now is super thin. So Jess, to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, is it surprising that stars are getting bashed for losing weight?

WEINER: No, it`s not surprising. And I know we`ve talked about this a lot here on SHOWBIZ. You know, we bash them when they`re thin. We bash them had they`re fat. We bash them when they`re old. We bash them when they`re, you know, young.

It`s like Hollywood women, especially, are never allowed to be right where they are. But when it comes to weight, we as a public and especially women in this country, it`s such a sensitive topic.

And we love our stars, we love our celebrities and we get very attached to what they look like and what they represent for us. And when they make a health change or a physical change, and we don`t know which it is sometimes because we don`t live in their bodies.

But when we see them physically change, we have an emotional reaction to it. And sometimes, people don`t like seeing a heavier person become thinner because it`s challenging. It`s upsetting. It feels like they`re selling out and giving in to a thin ideal.

But I know now from personal experience as well that there`s an opportunity to have moderate health transformation that doesn`t have to be obsessive.

DIAZ: Well, I want to move on to another topic right now, because this just broke today. "Friends with Benefits" star, Mila Kunis, has just talked about losing 20 pounds for her role in "Black Swan."

And in an explosive new interview with "Glamour U.K." revealed today, she says if you want to lose weight, you can do it. Mila says, "When people say I can`t lose weight -- no, no, no, you can. Your body can do everything and anything. You just have to want to do it."

All right, Jess. Let me just give you my opinion real quick here. I don`t agree at all, because, OK, you can want to do it, but if you have four kids and you`re scraping by on $22,000 a year and you`re working three jobs, you might want to lose weight, but you can`t because you don`t have time, correct?

WEINER: I agree. I think that there are so many women out there probably shaking their heads at this comment. But I do want to kind of come in the middle and have a moderate take on this, which is that actresses and actors are like athletes.

They use their body for a particular craft and vehicle. They train. They lose weight. They gain weight. They add muscle. They take away muscle. We can`t compare them on the same national scale as the rest of us out there.

And especially to your point when you`re a working mom, when you`re a, you know, dad out there trying to make a good living for your kids. It`s not the most -- you don`t have the most time to spend on losing weight and thinking about it so easy.

It has to be health transformation. It has to be slow and steady. And we can`t hold ourselves to Hollywood`s standards. Hollywood`s reality of beauty is not reality at all.

DIAZ: We`ve got 30 seconds. I want to add to that. But a star -- I don`t think a star has anyplace talking about what other people should do when it comes to weight loss because a star`s job is to look a certain way. And they have the means to hire nutritionists, a trainer, anything they want to get to a certain weight.

WEINER: Right.

DIAZ: I want to get your opinion on that. We have 20 seconds.

WEINER: Yes. I agree. I think that I don`t know exactly where her comments were intended. But certainly, for the watchers out there of SHOWBIZ, they know losing weight and staying healthy and being fit inside and out is a really important thing in their lives.

And I just hope people are doing it for the right reasons and they`re doing it slow and steady and not to match someone else`s ideals.

DIAZ: Jessica Weiner, great talk. Thank you so much. And check out the entire article about Jess` journey in this month`s "Glamour Magazine." It`s on newsstands now. It`s a great article.

All right. Moving on, Matt Damon for president? Why Michael Moore thinks Matt should be in the White House. The new cash king of hip-hop. And Ashton Kutcher`s the cash king of the TV world. More details in "The Buzz Today."

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) Ashton`s cashing in. TV Guide`s brand-new list of the best paid TV stars has just crowned Kutcher king. Ashton`s reported $700,000 per episode paycheck for his new role on "Two and a Half Men" instantly makes him the best paid actor on TV this season.

Kutcher takes the title from last year`s highest-paid TV star, Charlie Sheen, who earned more than $1 million bucks an episode on "Men" before producers fired him and replaced him with Kutcher earlier this year.

Jay-Z`s golden throne. Jay-Z has been declared the rapper with the most cash. A new "Forbes" ranking of hip-hop artists estimates Jay-Z made $37 million over the past year. That`s more than twice as much as his "Watch the Throne" collaborator and co-star, Kanye West, who collected just $16 million.

But Jay-Z does have competition in the music mogul race. Diddy came in right behind him raking in $35 million.

Damon`s presidential campaigner. Matt Damon has just gotten a huge political shout-out from Michael Moore. Moore thinks the outspoken Oscar winner should run for office.

In a new interview on the blog, "Fire Dog Lake," Moore confessed he hasn`t actually spoken with Damon about the idea, but is proposing Matt as a third party candidate saying, "I think that he has been very courageous in not caring about who he offends by saying the things that need to be said here."

"And if you want to win, the Republicans have certainly shown the way. But when you run someone who is popular, you win."

Now, you`ve got to listen to this. Pippa madness. The worldwide obsession with Duchess Catherine`s sister, Pippa Middleton, is off the charts tonight. Her famous bum sparked a butt lift craze. Everyone wants her perfect tan.

And now, a British newspaper has just named her the world`s most eligible woman. So I`ve got to ask, is Pippa now even more famous than Catherine? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" -- more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Bruce Willis in negotiations to star in "G.I. Joe" movie sequel. Paul Rudd gets movie titan Harvey Weinstein in front of the camera.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: So anyway, I had such a great time and our idiot brother. I`m so proud of the film. I had some marketing ideas. Yes, I know you`re the master of this now, so I don`t want to overstep my bounds, but I think you`re going to like some of these.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Is that toilet paper?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes. Yes, I was on the bus.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: OK. You know how trailers happen before the movies? What if we put our trailers in the middle of the movie, like, interrupt it, (UNINTELLIGIBLE) on the sex scene, like a lady going, "Oh, baby"?

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

DIAZ: Tonight, piping hot Pippa. Oh, I do love this segment. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell that you Duchess Catherine`s sister, Pippa Middleton, has become a global sensation.

It took less than 25 seconds for Pippa to steal the show as the world was introduced to her bum at the royal wedding. And let me put this into perspective, all right?

This moment right here is all it took for the world to become obsessed. Let`s just kind of see it. OK, sorry. Women are rushing to get the Pippa butt lift.

Pippa has become the number one baby name of the year according to one Web site. Even Pippa`s tan is envied by women who want her royal mocha skin tone.

"Pop Eater`s" Rob Shuter is back with me right now. All right. Rob, time for some guy talk. Are you shocked by the passion for Pippa?

SHUTER: Are you crazy? Did you just see those photographs? She looks amazing -- amazing. And the other reason that we love this girl is that we know very little about her.

You said a second ago what a surprise it was when she popped out of that carriage and we saw her for the first time. So I think we want to get to know more and more and more about Pippa.

DIAZ: Yes. I was watching, you know, and one of my guy friends called me. They`re like, "Dude, who is that girl?" I`m like, "I don`t know but I want to know more." Pippa also has just been named the world`s most eligible woman by a British newspaper.

It seems that Pippa is casting a big shadow over her sister`s fame. I`m thinking that Pippa could soon outshine the likes of Angelina Jolie. Rob, quickly. Do you agree?

SHUTER: Oh, absolutely. Pippa is going to be the biggest star in the world if she`s not already. In London, Pippa-mania is even bigger than it is here in America. She`s going to sweep the globe.

DIAZ: Why did you cut to Rob on that shot? Stay with the (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

SHUTER: Thank you. Thank you.

DIAZ: Rob Shuter, thanks so much. I love you, but I think Pippa is more attractive.

All right. Tonight, Arnold and Maria Shriver`s oldest daughter opens up for the very first time about her parents` shocking divorce. How her life came crashing down on her and how she`s doing. That`s coming up next.
