(MUSIC)
Hello, I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with big news breaking tonight -- Kim craziness.
Yes, tonight, Kim Kardashian is half way around the world in Australia, getting far, far away from the madness that has followed her bombshell decision to divorce Kris Humphries just 72 days after their reported $18 million wedding. And when I say madness, I mean madness.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Hi, Kim. Kim, Kim, how do you feel?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Do you have any comment, Kim?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: All of your fans are upset over the fairytale wedding. They say it was a publicity stunt.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Kim, are you better off without him? Do you think you will get married again?
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Do you think you will get married again? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT brings you the wild, caught-on-tape scene at the Los Angeles International Airport as Kim headed to a plane to fly to Australia for the opening of the family`s new boutique named -- are you ready for this -- Kardashian Khaos.
And before leaving, Kim tweeted this, "We are so excited! Kardashian Khaos has arrived. Oh, yes, Kim it certainly has. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with a reality check for Kim.
So let me bring in the reality stars in Hollywood tonight. Lisa Gastineau -- Lisa, of course, starred on "The Gastineau Girls." She`s also the founder of the Gastineau Glamour Jewelry.
With me tonight in New York, matchmaker Siggy Flicker who stars on VH1`s great new show called "Why Am I Still Single?" Hey, Kim, listen up because she is going to set you straight.
Also in New York tonight, Dr. Brent Ridge, star of "The Fabulous Beakman Boys" on the Planet Green Network. He is also the author of this fine new cookbook. It`s called "The Beakman 1802 Heirloom Cookbook."
Well, I can tell you Kim Kardashian is usually never at a loss for words, right? But when she showed up at the airport to head to Australia, well, she seemed speechless as she was swarmed by reporters and photographers. Really a wild scene. Watch how it all played out.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Kim, do you think you will get married again? Have you talked to Kris today?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Did you see your lawyer today?
KIM KARDASHIAN, REALITY TV STAR: Don`t touch me.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Got anything to say? Kim, anything to say?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Kim, do you have any comment about the divorce?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Kris wants you back.
KIM KARDASHIAN: Unbelievable, you guys.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Kim, what`s the deal? Kim, what are you thinking? Is there any chance you`ll work it out with him? Any chance you will work it out?
KIM KARDASHIAN: Get out of the way.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Watch out.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Anything about the divorce? Was it your decision or his?
KIM KARDASHIAN: Shut the door. Shut the door. Shut the door.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: All right. That is unbelievable to me. But what did she expect, really? Lisa Gastineau, you attended Kim`s wedding. Your daughter, Brittny, actually caught the bouquet at Kim`s wedding. We sat here and talked about Kim`s wedding after Kim`s wedding. Could you have ever imagined, Lisa, it would come to an end after just 72 days?
LISA GASTINEAU, FOUNDER, GASTINEAU GLAMOUR JEWELRY: No. Never, never, never. I thought they were really genuinely in love, and I actually still think they are.
I think there`s so much going on. They`re so much a part of this brand and the television show and everything involving them, that things that would normally get slipped under the rug with most couples are turned into bigger things.
And I don`t think that this means that the relationship wasn`t genuine. I just think there were so many elements. And you have to remember that Kim Kardashian is a huge brand.
And they are looking out for the good of everything involving her. So she can`t afford to make mistakes. And you know, sometimes --
HAMMER: Yes --
GASTINEAU: Sometimes -- I know but it is not like everyone else.
HAMMER: When it gets in the way of life and love, it just -- what is happening? What`s going on with our planet? I don`t understand.
GASTINEAU: It`s not the first time -- it`s not the first time we have ever heard about this.
HAMMER: But Lisa, you were there --
GASTINEAU: We are hearing about it on such a big scale.
HAMMER: Lisa, you were at the wedding. We all watched the wedding. It was so hyped. It was the big special on E! in two parts. It has been playing over and over.
The two parts, in fact, have aired more than two dozen times, even, as it turns out, Kim`s marriage was falling apart. That leads us to the SHOWBIZ Flashpoint -- were we all duped?
GASTINEAU: No.
HAMMER: Now, matchmaker Siggy Flicker, I went into the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT archives. You were here just two weeks ago. I have it here on paper, which means you said it. You said you felt Kim and Kris` love was real. Do you still feel that way?
SIGGY FLICKER, MATCHMAKER AND REALITY TV STAR, "WHY AM I STILL SINGLE?": I`m with Lisa. Kim and Kris` love was real. Nobody gets married thinking it`s going to end 72 days later.
HAMMER: Exactly.
FLICKER: Wait a second. She walked down the aisle. Kim was more obsessed with having a fairytale wedding. She was not going to give up that easily. There were cracks in the foundation before they walked down the aisle she chose to ignore.
They were not a couple made in heaven. I would have never matched Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries in a million years. Kim Kardashian is a sweetheart. She`s a hardworking girl. She`s got great work --
HAMMER: Listen -- I`m sorry to interrupt. I don`t disagree with anything you are saying and I`m a romantic and I want to believe it, too.
But at the same time, it seems to me, from a layman`s perspective, if you split up after 72 days, then when you`re walking down the aisle -- the person who filed for divorce knows this thing is not going to work out. That`s just my feeling.
Look, the money is something that everybody has been talking about because this big wedding extravaganza on TV earned them a reported $18 million including $66,000 in gifts.
Well, on the "Today" show this morning, Kathie Lee Gifford, who attended the wedding as well, said that despite the quickie marriage she does not want her gift back. She explained why. Kathie Lee?
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
KATHIE LEE GIFFORD, CO-HOST, THE "TODAY" SHOW: No, I don`t want my gift back. My gift was -- I gave her a bunch of Kringle candles, because she loves candles. And they are beautiful and they can enjoy them.
It wasn`t a pricy gift. I didn`t want to give them a pricy gift because I just thought they have everything in the world. Now, I hoped their dreams were coming true. I thought so.
I made a donation to the Dream Center in Los Angeles at the Angeles Temple Church and a little note saying "In honor of your dreams coming true."
Perhaps -- I know it would make you happy to know that other people`s dreams can come true as well. So that`s the last thing in the world I would want back.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: And I agree with that. That`s terrific. Now, Brent, I know you attended the big gala for them here in New York and gave Kim a copy of your fine cookbook.
By the way, smart move. I`m sure it didn`t cost a whole lot of money to begin with. But to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint -- this is our next one -- should Kim and Kris donate the money they got from the wedding? I think they should.
DR. BRENT RIDGE, AUTHOR AND REALITY TV STAR: Well, of course, I think they should donate lots of money to charity.
But you know what? In terms of whether we were duped or, you know, the $18 million -- you know, Americans pay a lot of money to be entertained. And if they are entertained by Kim Kardashian and they`re willing to, you know, give her $18 million, then that`s America.
That`s not Kim Kardashian. And you know, I guarantee you that next season, everyone is going to be tuning in to see how this relationship fell apart. And you know, if that is what we demand, then that is what we`re going to be given.
HAMMER: Yes. And I have a feeling you are right. Everybody is wondering, will this backfire on her brand? Will this hurt her credibility? People are going to tune in because, really, it is a train wreck that we already know we are going to get to see unfold.
Lisa, let me go to you. You were a Kardashian wedding guest out there in California. What do you think about the idea of perhaps having that money donated to charity?
GASTINEAU: That`s their prerogative. Kim gives a lot of money to charity on her own. And who are we to say what people should do with their things? You know, we willingly watched it, embraced it, couldn`t get enough of it.
And then, the minute things go wrong, we want to just slam them. I mean, that`s life. Things happen, you know. And the more action, the more drama, the more we tune in and the more we want more.
I mean, look at how many TV shows we`re going to be watching in the next few day all talking about the same stuff.
HAMMER: Yes. You have a point. I think that is very valid. Look, even as Kim got away from it all in that mad dash to Australia, TMZ is reporting today that Kim agonized over her decision to divorce Kris for an entire weekend, a whole weekend.
That`s before she finally decided on Sunday to pull the trigger and file the divorce papers. Listen, Kris is now saying he didn`t see this coming at all. That leads to our next SHOWBIZ Flashpoint -- was Kris blindsided?
I do think he may have been blindsided by the actual filing. But he probably knew in his gut this marriage was doomed. That`s what I think. Siggy, what do you think?
FLICKER: I think BS -- he was not blindsided. There were cracks in this foundation before they walked down the aisle. Anybody who can look back and watch the show and -- just little comments that he was making.
He was arrogant. He was cocky. He knew what getting into and he was holding his own. And at the end, Kim said, "I`ve got to cut my losses and I`ve got to move on." There was no way to repair this relationship.
HAMMER: Brent, what do you think? What is your take on that?
RIDGE: We know -- being in a reality TV show, I know that there are certain degrees of reality. So I think, you know, he probably had to know a lot of it was for the show.
HAMMER: Interesting. I feel like once that train was rolling down the tracks, what were they going to do? I mean, honestly, the cost and expense and damage that could have been done if they stopped the whole thing -- I don`t know.
People are pretty angry over this and it is actually not surprising to me at all. Lisa Gastineau, Siggy Flicker, Dr. Brent Ridge, thank you all very much.
OK. So what went wrong? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT reveals the clues to Kim K.`s bombshell split with Kris Humphries.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
HUMPHRIES: I just think you let your family make decisions for you.
KIM KARDASHIAN: How am I letting my family, like --
HUMPHRIES: Because you have to go huddle with them every time like there is an issue. You`re 30 years old. Grow up.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dares to ask, should we actually feel sympathy for them? Kim Kardashian`s new divorce outrage. Why gay marriage advocates and some of Hollywood`s biggest stars are now furious about Kim K.`s marriage meltdown.
Plus, we`ve got the naked truth behind Scarlett Johansson`s nude photo scandal. You`ve got to hear this. She is telling all for the very first time. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" -- more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JUSTIN BIEBER, POP STAR: They always ask about my brother, sister and Dad -- you know, Selena. Look, I like to keep things private.
You`ve got to have some sort of privacy or else you`re going to end up -- everyone`s going to know everything about you and you`re not going to have anything for yourself.

HAMMER: That is dancing celebrity and Army veteran J.R. Martinez just ripping up on the dance floor with Karina Smirnoff. The judges love him. The fans love him. He just seems unstoppable.
Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT star secrets, dancing with J.R. J.R. Martinez is an Iraq War veteran turned soap star, turned ballroom king.
His awe-inspiring life story has made him the celebrity contestant that people just keep on tuning in for on "Dancing with the Stars." The story of triumph over adversity is inspiring millions and it doesn`t hurt that his dance steps are irresistible.
Now, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter now brings us a remarkable inside look at the dancing star that everyone loves.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
(MUSIC)
KAREEN WYNTER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT CORRESPONDENT: The man with the moves and the megawatt smile -- 28-year -old J.R. Martinez. The army veteran and actor has been winning perfect tens from the "Dancing with the Stars" judges.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Ten!
WYNTER: And winning over the hearts of Americans across the country.
(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)
Martinez has become the breakout star of this season`s "Dancing with the Stars," and he is favored to win. Despite all the attention, he`s keeping his feet on the ballroom floor.
J.R. MARTINEZ, "DANCING WITH THE STARS" CONTESTANT AND ACTOR: It is all fun and games. You know, I don`t really pay attention to that. You know, I just kind of come in here and really focus on the steps and the routine and the character and go out there and entertain on Monday night.
WYNTER: And entertained he has. From a sexy samba --
(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)
To a tribute to fallen troops that brought the audience to their feet and tears to their eyes. It was an emotional moment for viewers but also for Martinez.
In 2003, the Army veteran was severely burned, over 40 percent of his body, when the Humvee he was driving in Iraq ran over a landmine. Remarkably, Martinez survived. Perhaps, more remarkably, he considers the accident a gift.
MARTINEZ: I look at April 15th, 2003 as a rebirth for me. That`s why I call it my rebirth day. And it is something I wouldn`t change for anything.
If I would have never run over that landmine, I have no idea where my life would be at this point. Maybe I would still be in the Army. I`d be on my fourth or fifth tour. You know, maybe I`d be out. I don`t know.
But I know I probably wouldn`t have as much of an opportunity as I do now to reach so many people and connect with them on such a motivational and inspirational level.
WYNTER: It was during his 34-month recovery that Martinez realized he had an ability to connect with people. Talking to other injured veterans propelled him to become motivational speaker. And that led to a role on ABC`s "All My Children."
MARTINEZ: We`re twins.
WYNTER: When the call came to appear on "Dancing with the Stars," Martinez says he choked up because he knew it was his opportunity to reach more people.
MARTINEZ: I connect to people that are not just military or burn survivors. But I connect to people that -- you know, because when you use the word "war," I mean, people think about the military.
But there is a war going on all over the world and it is like the economy. There are diseases. There are a lot of things that people face.
So people can relate to me. And they can see me still smiling despite my scars on the outside. It allows them to know they can just continue to smile with the scars they have on the inside or the outside.
WYNTER: Martinez is smiling a lot these days despite a demanding rehearsal schedule. His professional dance partner, Karina Smirnoff, says he`s got smooth moves both on and off the dance floor.
KARINA SMIRNOFF, J.R. MARTINEZ`S PROFESSIONAL DANCE PARTNER: We have a great friendship and great relationship. But eight hours with the same person -- you are bound to, like, butt heads.
You are bound -- like, it`s inevitable. So like, I would start getting frustrated and I would feel like I was getting worked up and he does his thing.
MARTINEZ: I`m like -- just bring it in for a hug. Bring it in for a hug. Let it all go. Let it all go. And there we go. She`s smiling.
SMIRNOFF: Five seconds later, I`m not angry anymore.
WYNTER: Martinez seems to have a way of making people happy. His simple advice for those who aren`t, keep your head up.
MARTINEZ: Naturally, as human beings, when things happen to us, we have a tendency to continue to walk, but we walk with our head down. Well, if we have our head down too long -- opportunities and those answers to the questions of why this happened present themselves. But if our heads are down we will never see those answers or those opportunities in front of us.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
That was SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter. I think J.R.`s positive spirit is truly inspirational. He`s just such a good guy.
All right. We move now to Kim`s craziness.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
CHRISTINA AGUILERA, SINGER AND "THE VOICE" JUDGE: Oh, my goodness. It`s a tough gig, I`ve got to say, to be up against these guys all the time. It`s like having, you know, three rowdy, very immature brothers.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Get ready for a verdict countdown in the Michael Jackson death trial. Dr. Conrad Murray revealed late today he will not testify in the Michael Jackson death trial, but is this a good idea? What does Michael`s family think about this?
Joining me right now from Los Angeles, just across the street from the courthouse, Ryan Smith, who`s an anchor for "In Session" on Tru TV.
So Ryan, what do you think? Is this a big mistake by Murray, or is it exactly the right move?
RYAN SMITH, ANCHOR, "IN SESSION": I think it`s exactly the right move, because the problem is, no matter what he says on the stand, he was going to face a cross-examination, which was going to be nothing like you have ever seen.
The prosecution was ready to question him on everything from his standard of care to the way he treated Michael Jackson to even the theories of how Michael Jackson died.
And there was a lot of stuff that he said that just seemed contradictory. So in a sense, by staying off of the stand, his tape, what he said to police, stands for itself.
HAMMER: Yes.
R. SMITH: The witnesses stand for themselves and so that`s that.
HAMMER: Yes. And this prosecutor has been like a Jedi master. So I agree -- probably the right move here. And Michael`s sister, Latoya Jackson, tweeted today to HLN that she wanted Murray to take the stand.
I get the impression, Ryan, that the Jackson family is actually upset they`re not going to hear from him.
R. SMITH: Well, I think at least Latoya is in the right there. She wanted to hear what he had to say. But I think it is natural for a family to want to hear this.
I mean, in the courtroom, there was no noticeable change in expression from any of the Jacksons who were there. But I think the thing is you want to hear this doctor get up on the stand and talk about what really happened.
The only two people who know that -- Michael Jackson and Conrad Murray. So I think this was going to give them a sense of closure in a way, and not hearing that is disappointing.
On the other hand, A.J., you don`t have to now hear about all the things he would have said about Michael Jackson essentially throwing him under the bus.
HAMMER: Yes.
R. SMITH: So in a way, that could be a good thing.
HAMMER: All right, Ryan. Thank you so much. Remember, HLN and SHOWBIZ TONIGHT are covering the Michael Jackson death trial like no one else. "Justice for Michael."
Stay with SHOWBIZ TONIGHT until the very end of the trial. And keep in mind SHOWBIZ TONIGHT will be live at 11:00 p.m. Eastern when the verdict is announced.
Time for the SHOWBIZ lineup -- here`s what is coming up at the bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
So what went wrong for Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries?

HAMMER: Big news, breaking tonight on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT -- SHOWBIZ TONIGHT investigates what went wrong in Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries` marriage? Kim`s impossibly demanding family? Kris` unrealistic life for Kim? Tonight, the SHOWBIZ secrets behind Kim K.`s marriage collapse.
First, the fallout. Now, the sympathy? With a second failed marriage under her belt, do you feel sorry for Kim? Or is there comfort for Kris?
The naked truth about Scarlett`s nude photo scandal. Scarlett Johansson has no problem getting naked and she wants you to know why.
ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.
(MUSIC)
HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. And we`ve got big breaking news tonight -- what went wrong?
Kim Kardashian`s big marriage is a big bust. And today, people are shouting from the hilltops, "I told you so." And tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can reveal that the big clues to the Kardashian split played out right there on her own reality show. So should Kim have known the split was in the cards from the very beginning?
Joining me tonight in New York, Siggy Flicker, matchmaker on VH1`s "Why Am I Still Single?" And in Hollywood tonight, Lisa Gastineau, who attended the Kardashian wedding, who is the founder of Gastineau Glamour.
So really, the upside to having your own reality show is -- you know what? You get to make a bunch of money. You have a big multimillion- dollar wedding that everyone wishes they were invited to.
The downside, of course, is when you break up, you leave tons of bread crumbs behind. I would like to now reveal to you the first big clue that got us thinking this wasn`t meant to be.
Kim`s family fights over Kris. Now, anyone who watched "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" saw that Kim`s family was the first to raise the red flags. Roll this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
KIM KARDASHIAN: You were being nasty and had a talk to him about how we are getting married too soon. Like, what would ever make you believe that you can say something like that to Kris?
KHLOE KARDASHIAN, REALITY TV STAR: He`s a young kid and I just don`t want you to be hurt. I`m protective over you. That`s what`s frustrating. Everyone else is talking about (EXPLETIVE DELETED). Everyone else is having concerns. I`m just doing what everyone is else is saying behind your back.
KIM KARDASHIAN: But no one else is talking about him.
KHLOE KARDASHIAN: Everyone was. They just didn`t say it to his face.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Yes. Khloe really trying to get through to Kim there with no success at all. Siggy, should Kim have listened to her family?
FLICKER: Absolutely yes. Anybody who knows Kim Kardashian knows for a 31- year-old girl, she`s got great work ethic. She gets up every day. She goes to work. She is not a partier.
She doesn`t drink. She doesn`t smoke. And guess what? Kim Kardashian is in bed by 9:30. She is marrying a guy who is 26, going on 12. He likes to party. He likes get out there. He likes to go out and wine and dine with friends. There were cracks in his foundation. She should have listened to her sisters and her mother early on.
HAMMER: Yes. And here`s the thing -- they are always talking about how much the family supports one another, so it strikes me as very odd that she didn`t pay attention to what they were saying because they are always talking about how they are the bedrock of their foundation together.
FLICKER: Because Kim`s in love with being in love. She was not going to let go of this idea of having a fairytale wedding for nothing.
HAMMER: You are a romantic optimist.
FLICKER: Yes.
HAMMER: I love that about you, Siggy Flicker. All right. Let me move now to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s big Kardashian split clue number two.
Kim and Kris` nonstop fights over some pretty big issues like this big fight Kim and Kris had just before their wedding over whether or not Kim should change her last name. Pretty serious stuff.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
HUMPHRIES: I just think you let your family make decisions for you.
KIM KARDASHIAN: How am I letting my family, like --
HUMPHRIES: Because you have to go huddle with them every time, like, there is an issue. You`re 30 years old. Grow up.
KIM KARDASHIAN: How am I letting --
HUMPHRIES: I feel like I`m just a road block on the highway to Kim`s perfect wedding.
KIM KARDASHIAN: Keeping my Kardashian name is business decision. If you don`t understand that, then that`s a problem for me.
HUMPHRIES: OK. Well, then, maybe we have a problem.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Yes. Are you seeing the giant red flags waving around in the air there? They can`t even talk about changing her name without having a big fight and talking about breaking up.
Lisa, you were right there at the wedding. You know Kim and Kris. Do you think their bickering on the show was actually a big red flag?
GASTINEAU: No. I think it is TV drama. You wouldn`t want to tune into a TV show that everything was harmonic. It`s just the way it is.
I mean, they are creating a television show. Television shows are showing real, real life -- ha-ha. And in real life, there is drama. There are disagreements. There`s -- you know, this is young couple that`s in love.
They are going to disagree. Probably, if there wasn`t so much attention on it and there wasn`t so much at stake, they probably would be working it out a little bit more and they wouldn`t be filing in 72 days.
They probably, you know, would be working on this. But there`s so much at stake here. There`s a brand. There are things. And I`m not saying it is right and I`m not saying it`s wrong. I`m just saying it is what it is.
HAMMER: And I hear you saying that and I don`t disagree, Lisa, except I don`t think for a moment that they were having these fights because the cameras were rolling.
FLICKER: Exactly.
GASTINEAU: Yes, they are.
HAMMER: And these were not some petty issues here.
GASTINEAU: Yes, they do. They do.
(CROSS TALK)
HAMMER: Oh, so you think they really didn`t have a disagreement about their last name?
GASTINEAU: No.
HAMMER: You think they made it all up?
GASTINEAU: No, I don`t think -- I think those are normal things. Listen, when a famous woman marries a man, there`s always an issue.
Catherine Zeta Jones is married to Michael Douglas but she still goes by Catherine Zeta Jones. These are normal things when a famous woman marries another person.
So I think that, you know, for the cameras, these things were played up so that they can create more issues, because truthfully, this couple really, really was really in love.
HAMMER: I hear you. I hear you, but I also know that Kim would be the first to say no when those cameras are rolling. You are just seeing our life as it truly plays out.
We know that reality TV heightens the drama. We do realize that, Lisa. But I think, you know, watching this play back now -- I think it is very poignant.
I do want to move right now though to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kardashian split clue number three. Kim goes solo to an event last Saturday night here in New York City.
And I have to say when she spoke with her friends at "Extra," she didn`t have a lot to say about her husband, Kris. Let`s watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
KIM KARDASHIAN: Actually, I`m going to be in Australia for the real Halloween, so I won`t be able to dress up with Kris this year and I won`t be able to see Mason.
I know, this is probably like the first year that my nephew can really understand what dressing up is. And you know, I`m sad I`m not going to be here, but Khloe and I have to go to Australia to work, so I`ll be there.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Of course, now, we know that Kim went solo because she was filing for divorce. Brand-new video obtained by SHOWBIZ TONIGHT shows a somber Kim returning to LAX after her big trip.
And look, I`m the first to say, yes, people can read too much into these things. But Lisa, she is a newlywed. Did it seem kind of odd to you that she didn`t seem so upset about spending Halloween without her new husband?
GASTINEAU: I don`t know. I don`t know about that, because, you know, there`s so many commitments involved. And he was just there for her birthday in Vegas and he was there for "Dancing with the Stars."
And you know, whatever happened, it happened very quickly, I can tell you. And you know what? It`s very normal for couples when they get married no matter what. I got married very quickly, too.
I`m not going to say that is the best. But it is very normal for couples that get married quickly to feel like some sort of change, you know. It`s a lot to take on.
HAMMER: Sure.
GASTINEAU: Any couple, whether they are in the limelight or not, it`s a normal thing. And everything about this relationship with cameras on it and the fame and responsibility defies anything in the realm of normal. There`s nothing normal about it.
HAMMER: I agree and I think that is why that just reinforces the idea that perhaps they should have taken a little more time because so much was at stake and there was all this extra pressure. I`m just saying.
GASTINEAU: But love --
HAMMER: There`s been a lot of Kardashian bashing going on since the divorce announcement on Monday. Our Facebook fans have been chomping at the bit about the whole marriage fiasco.
I do want to read a couple of things here. This is from the Karl D. This is what Karl D. just wrote about Kim and the big wedding bash, "He was a controlling jerk and it wasn`t a waste of money. It was her money to spend however she wanted. Go, Kim."
Now, I`ve got to tell you, this is one of the first supportive things about Kim that I have seen from the whole Kardashian divorce chaos.
Some people think that Kris wasn`t so nice to Kim. Maybe he took advantage of her. As a friend of the Kardashians, Lisa, do you think that we should be feeling sorry for either Kim or Kris in this whole thing? Some sympathy?
GASTINEAU: I think you should feel sorry for the break of any kind of serious union like this. Marriage is a really serious commitment. And anytime it doesn`t work, especially when people go in with good intentions, it is sad.
I don`t think that Kris is now a bad guy because they broke up. I think that these are really young people. And you know what? I say wait it out. Let`s see what happens. Before we go quick and make judgments and do this and fuel the fire anymore, let`s just wait it out and let`s see what happens.
HAMMER: I need a yes or no only. Siggy, what do you think? Sympathy for these guys.
FLICKER: Both of them deserve sympathy. Both of them.
HAMMER: It would be interesting to see if they get any. People are pretty ticked. All right. Siggy Flicker, Lisa Gastineau, I thank you both. Don`t forget to look for Siggy on her fantastic new show. It`s "Why Am I Still Single" on VH1.
Well, Kim K.`s sudden split has ticked off not only people who believe in love, but people who believe in same-sex marriage. Yes, there is an uproar tonight in Hollywood.
Some of the biggest stars have been tweeting up a storm. They are going off on Kim`s 72-day marriage -- mockery as they are calling it. I`m thinking Kim better watch her back next time she is on the red carpet.
And there is this -- is Kim Kardashian a national joke? From the best comics to regular Joes, has Kim actually now gone from a glamorous modern- day icon to the butt of everyone`s jokes? Get it? Butt? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
Now, it`s the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" -- more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.
TEXT: Jimmy Kimmel to host White House Correspondents Dinner. Adam Levine talks to SHOWBIZ about how "The Voice" differs from other singing shows.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
ADAM LEVINE, "THE VOICE" JUDGE: Those shows are those shows. They have their own thing, their own fan base. We don`t really concern ourselves with those shows because we are "The Voice." It`s never been about competing with those guys.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Well, the celebrity Twitter-verse is simply going crazy with the stunning news of Kim Kardashian`s divorce. "The Office`s" Rainn Wilson is tweeting this, "I wonder which day of Kim Kardashian`s marriage was most fulfilling. One to 72. I`m going with 27." Nice, Rainn.
D.J. to the stars, Samantha Ronson, tweeting this, "Wait, so it was actually a real wedding?" How about this one from Lisa Rinna, "I had given that marriage two years. Geez, was I wrong!"
Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. And tonight, all the outrage over Kim Kardashian`s divorce.
And tonight, Kim`s marriage meltdown has really become a rallying cry of sorts for same-sex marriage advocates.
With me in New York tonight, Dr. Brent Ridge, star of "The Fabulous Beakman Boys" on the Planet Green Network. He is also a friend to the Kardashians of sorts and founder of "Beakman1802.com." We`re also with Iliza Shlesinger. She is the host of the new reality dating series, "Excused."
It is great to have you here. So listen, Brent, just two months ago, you and your partner were right here in New York. You were celebrating with the Kardashians at the big bash that they had for the New York folk.
The family was there. I want to look at some more of the tweets that have been coming in tonight. This one from "Star Trek" star, George Takei. George married his longtime partner, Brad, not that long ago.
He wrote, "Kim Kardashian files for divorce after 72 days. Another example of how same-sex marriage is destroying the sanctity of the very institution."
Perez Hilton tweeting this, "Straight people do a damn well good job themselves of ruining the sanctity of marriage."
Look, there are obviously more serious examples of how two straight people defile the sanctity of marriage, which is what`s being argued here.
But you know, there are people saying, hey, you are worried about same-sex couples who are truly in love getting together when you have people like the Kardashians making a mockery of the institution. Do you get their point?
RIDGE: Yes. I get their point. I mean, I don`t know Kim and Kris personally so I don`t want to comment on their personal relationship too much.
But you know, I think that, you know, the whole issue of gay marriage is - - and actually we`re on our cookbook tour right now, and so we get this question asked a lot -- when are we going to get married.
Because my partner, Josh, and I have been together 13 years. And the thing I`m always answering is, well, as soon as we can get a TV deal where there`s as much exposure and as much marketing power (UNINTELLIGIBLE) with our vows, then we`ll do it.
HAMMER: Yes, very good point. And hey, maybe you are on your way right now. We`ll get that (UNINTELLIGIBLE).
RIDGE: Call anybody who is out there.
HAMMER: Here are a couple more tweets. Sandra Bernhard, who has always had a tremendous number of gay supporters -- she wrote, "If you were gay and demand marriage equality, ban the Kardashian show. Just stop watching it. Help make all of this go away."
Kathy Griffin -- also a huge gay following. She writes this, "Ugh, gay couples like Kim K. and Kris H. ruining the sanctity of marriage is the problem with radical homosexual agenda -- oh, wait, oops." She was having a little fun there.
Brent, what do you say as gay man in a committed relationship? What would you say to Kim Kardashian about all this?
RIDGE: Oh, that`s such a tough question. I`ll just tell everybody out there who`s occupying Wall Street -- they should go to occupy Kim Kardashian`s backyard.
HAMMER: Yes.
RIDGE: That`s how you start a protest. They should do it.
HAMMER: Well, certainly, people are going to be, I`m sure, boycotting, out of the pure outrage of it all. But people are also having a lot of fun really turning Kim Kardashian`s divorce into kind of a big joke tonight.
I want you to look at this. It is late-night host Jimmy Kimmel in a rather ridiculous Donkey Kong costume, really breaking down for us what led to this whole divorce debacle.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JIMMY KIMMEL, HOST, "JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE": She has decided not to pick his option up for another season. I thought they would be together for at least five to 10 "Us Weekly" cover. Kim has asked that her fans and the media give her a complete lack of privacy during this difficult time.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: I`m going to bring in Iliza, who is the host of an all-new syndicated reality dating series called "Excused." Iliza, you will also remember, is the first female winner of "Last Comic Standing." So what do you think? Is Kim K. just a giant laughing stock now?
ILIZA SHLESINGER, HOST, "EXCUSED": Yes, she never wasn`t. No one has ever taken this person seriously. And all of the tweets about stop paying attention -- we need to stop paying attention to them because, otherwise, they are never going to go away. She just made it worse, like this isn`t helping your image.
HAMMER: All right.
SHLESINGER: He should become a better basketball player. She should go away.
HAMMER: From the mouth of Iliza Shlesinger.
SHLESINGER: I hope she hears this. What is she going to do? Block me on Twitter? Send me some shoe dazzle?
HAMMER: So woman to woman then --
SHLESINGER: Did you see what happened?
HAMMER: No, no. From you to Kim, and as the host of a dating show, what would you say to her? Address her. Look right into the camera and tell her exactly how you feel.
SHLESINGER: I have nothing for her. I went to college. I have a family that`s normal. I don`t sleep with people for money. Get out of here with that. Stop. Stop. It is enough.
America, the Obamas let their daughters watch the Kardashians. What are you going to learn from that -- how to be a really good businesswoman and do nothing and get paid. So what? Like being in Congress, like this is your life?
HAMMER: Well, I appreciate you pulling no punches with any of these tonight.
SHLESINGER: That`s how I do it.
HAMMER: Thank you very much. Dr. Brent Ridge, thank you very much.
SHLESINGER: Go gay marriage.
HAMMER: You can see more of Iliza hosting her new show, "Excused." Check your local listings for that. Brent`s new book is "The Beakman 1802 Heirloom Cookbook," and it is in stores right now.
Well, we must move on to Scarlett Johansson, who has no problem getting naked, and she wants you to know why. Scarlett`s candid new interview about her nude photo scandal, next.
And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" -- more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.
TEXT: Kendall Jenner`s sweet 16 to be a made-for-TV "Kardashian" on E! Justin Bieber tells SHOWBIZ about donating Christmas album proceeds to charity.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
BIEBER: We started a charity fund which raises money for different charities. Friends of the Promise. Make a Wish. And it gives to some charities and food banks. There`s one that I used to actually go to in Stafford, Ontario called the House of Blessing.
You know what? Actually being able to help them out right now which is really special. It is great to be able to go back and help the people who helped me, because if you are not giving back -- like, that`s the reason I`m in this position.
I`m able to be able to give back to the people who have helped me. And you know, there`s a lot of kids out there that need help and need food and need schooling.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Time for the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT buzz list. Here`s what the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT staff is going to be buzzing about all week.
We cannot wait to see two of our favorite funny guys. Eddie Murphy and Ben Stiller teaming up for "Tower Heist" that opens on Friday.
And we`re ready to travel back in time with Stephen King`s new book, "11/22/63." Now, if you get the book on Kindle, it also comes with mini- movie directed by Stephen King.
It is certainly the hottest concert in the country right now. Jay-Z and Kanye West kicking off their "Watch the Throne" tour in Atlanta.
We`re buzzing about Steve Carell`s "Crazy Stupid Love." It`s out on DVD right now.
And our favorite "Georgia peaches" are back. Season four of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" premieres on Sunday night on Bravo. I can`t wait. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Tonight, the naked truth about Scarlett Johansson`s nude photo scandal. You remember those X-rated pictures of Scarlett that ended up online after a guy hacked into her personal accounts.
Well, I`m sure Scarlett hopes that guy gets punished. But she is not punishing herself for taking pictures in the first place.
In the new issue of "Vanity Fair" she proudly owns up to the racy shots which were meant for her now ex-husband, Ryan Reynolds, "I know my best angles. They were sent to my husband. There is nothing wrong with that. It`s not like I was shooting a porno. Although there is nothing wrong with that either."
By the way, that alleged hacker could get sentenced to more than 100 years in prison for reign of Internet terror in Hollywood. The new issue of "Vanity Fair" with Scar-Jo comes out next Wednesday.
Right now, Rihanna is rushed to the hospital. And Jessica Simpson tweets a Halloween treat. We`ve got all the details in "The Buzz Today."
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
(voice-over) Jessica`s baby joy. Jessica Simpson just finally revealed to the world what everyone has been speculating for months -- she`s going to be a mommy.
Simpson made her surprise baby announcement on Twitter, posting this picture of herself in a very festive Halloween costume showing her baby bump, writing, "It`s true. I`m going to be a mummy." This is the first child for Jessica and her fiance, former NFL player, Eric Johnson.
Rihanna`s frightening flu. Rihanna has just revealed the reason she pulled out of a live show in Malmo, Sweden Monday night.
She tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT in a brand-new statement she is sorry but she had to cancel the performance because she needed to call in sick with the flu, "I`m sorry to everyone who was coming out to my show in Malmo, Sweden. I was so excited to perform for you all."
"It would have been a great time, so much better than being sick with the flu. Ugh, I`m really disappointed I couldn`t be there." Get well soon, Rihanna.
Moving to handcuffs -- Britney Spears and Joe Jonas. Not three things you would expect to hear in the same sentence.
(MUSIC)
It`s the must-see video of Joe`s big lap dance from Britney Spears and we`ve got it for you, next.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
(MUSIC)
HAMMER: I`m thinking Mickey Mouse must be somewhere blushing right about now. Did you see this?
(MUSIC)
That`s former Disney star, Joe Jonas, getting a sexy lap dance from another Disney alum, Britney Spears. Now, Joe was Brit`s opening act on the European leg her "Femme Fatale" tour.
And the pole dance has sort of become a tour initiation. "Jersey Shore`s" Pauley D. did his D.J. thing on Brit`s tour in North America. He got a lap dance of his own a few months back.
But I`ve got to say, Joe, loosen up. Looks like he is in a dentist`s chair, doesn`t he, and not getting a lap dance.
Well, that is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Thank you for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Remember, you can catch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusively Sunday to Friday at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific right here on HLN. "DR. DREW" is next. Tonight, real life, big love. Drew speaks with polygamous Joe Darger and his sister wives.
"DR. DREW" on HLN starts right now.
