(MUSIC)

Hello, I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with big news breaking tonight -- the remarkable big secrets revealed today about what really went in the jury room as jurors debated whether to convict Conrad Murray with the killing of Michael Jackson.

And let me tell you this is a story you have to hear. And HLN`s Nancy Grace is with us tonight break to it all down.

Now, until today, we had not heard from any of the 12 jurors since they convicted Conrad Murray of involuntary manslaughter just Monday.

But today, that all changed as we heard one of jurors reveal what really happened as they debated whether Murray was really responsible for Michael Jackson`s death.

This afternoon, I spoke with HLN`s Nancy Grace about these incredible revelations.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(on camera) So, Nancy, deliberations among the jury really got very tense according to the way that juror Debbie Franklin described it this morning on "Good Morning America." Let`s take a look at what she said.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DEBBIE FRANKLIN, JUROR FROM THE CONRAD MURRAY TRIAL: Towards the end of the day, we finally took a vote. It was not unanimous, and we talked a little bit more about it. Let`s think about it over the weekend.

It was stressful. We did yelling and then we had to keep saying, nobody talk while this person is talking. Raise your hand if you have something to say.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I found that so interesting, Nancy, that things actually got heated. Are you surprised to hear that it was not a slam dunk for the jurors, it was not unanimous when they first began the deliberations?

NANCY GRACE, HOST, "NANCY GRACE": No, I`m not surprised at all. You know, you can`t put 12 people in a room together and not expect divergent opinions.

Also, the fact that they were raising their voices and to the point where you have to get called on before you could talk, I`m not surprised at all.

But I did notice later on, as Debbie Franklin was talking, she said that then the majority finally convinced the rest. So clearly, they were getting a majority. So I don`t think that it was, you know, as divergent as it originally sounds.

HAMMER: And she broke it down for us. According to the juror, it was Dr. Conrad Murray`s actions in the final moments in the final moments of Michael Jackson life that made all of the difference to them. Let`s see what she said on "Good Morning America" about that today.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

FRANKLIN: When he came back, Conrad Murray said he was alive. He wasn`t breathing, but he had a pulse. He had the oximeter --

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Monitor --

FRANKLIN: Monitor on his finger. So at that point, he was alive, according to Conrad Murray. If he (UNINTELLIGIBLE), if he would have had the medical equipment there, if it was the airway that was blocked, but he had nothing. He didn`t have anything there.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Nancy, to me, that`s what made this so outrageous. I`m curious to get your take, the idea that, basically, yes, Conrad Murray had no backup plan in case anything went wrong. And obviously, that is really what struck the jury.

GRACE: You know what? You`re absolutely right, A.J. She broke it down. She said that there were three problems that convinced her and the jury that he was guilty.

Number one, if he had still been alive, as Murray says, he didn`t call 911 immediately. He did not have the equipment there such as, you know, any backup to make, to jolt Michael Jackson back to life.

He had none of the procedures in hand and ready to go. And the third thing that she pointed out in addition to 911, no medical backup was that he left Michael Jackson alone, unattended.

And those three things convinced the jury, it was Conrad Murray`s actions or inaction that resulted in Jackson`s death.

HAMMER: And their decision resulted in the fact that Dr. Murray, as we now know, is being held in jail. He is being held, Nancy, in the medical unit as he awaits the sentencing. Of course, that`s happening on November 29th.

I know they want to keep him away from the general population. I guess they feel that his, you know, well-being is at risk. Do you get the sense that he is getting any kind of special treatment in jail?

GRACE: A.J., he is already getting preferential treatment. You know, when you are in the medical unit, you have a better bed. You have a private room very often. Your meals are delivered or even delivered differently or they may even be different meals.

It is a much better living condition. And we usually say celebrity treatment. This guy is not even a celebrity. He killed a celebrity and he`s getting celebrity treatment.

HAMMER: Well, you know, now, in addition to all of the treatment he is getting in jail, he may be out pretty soon. We know he faces four years in prison when he is sentenced.

Obviously, we`re hearing because of overcrowding in the Los Angeles jails, he may serve a lot less time than that. And wouldn`t that just be outrageous to you?

We have talked about how we feel or some people feel he has been undercharged. But the idea of him doing little to no jail time?

GRACE: Well, right there at the get-go, he was undercharged. This should have been a murder one charge. Just because used a syringe and other people use a gun or a knife, that doesn`t make him any better in the death of Michael Jackson.

So he is already getting a blue light special with the involuntary manslaughter. The max is four years. There are federal and state mandates in place, A.J., that state if a jail is overcrowded, you`ve got to start letting people out, that it`s inhumane to have too many people in jail at one time.

Now, in my mind, if someone`s got to get out of jail, it`s got to be shoplifters, maybe somebody that stole some tires --

HAMMER: Yes.

GRACE: But not someone convicted of homicide, A.J.

HAMMER: I want to go back to a part of the defense`s strategy that I never quite understood. I guess they were doing whatever they could to try to defend Dr. Murray.

But the defense was arguing during the trial that Murray was not responsible for Michael Jackson`s death because they claimed Jackson had other addiction issues.

Now, clearly, the jury wasn`t buying that. In fact, Debbie Franklin was talking about that this morning on "Good Morning America." Let`s watch what she said.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Do you believe that Michael Jackson would be alive today if it were not for Dr. Conrad Murray?

FRANKLIN: Yes, absolutely. I believe he had issues. I believe he had addictions or dependence. He asked for the doctors to do it. They said no. He was looking for somebody to say yes, and Conrad Murray said yes.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: It sounds to me like the jury really drew a line in the sand between what Michael Jackson`s dependencies were and what Conrad Murray`s responsibilities were as a doctor.

And now, Nancy, we are hearing that Michael Jackson`s kids might actually speak at Conrad Murray`s sentencing. I want to ask you, not just as a former prosecutor, but as a mom, do you, in any way think this is a good idea?

GRACE: You know what? I`m speaking not just as a mother and a former prosecutor, but as a crime victim of violent crime myself.

And I was called under subpoena to testify in my fiance`s murder trial. And although of it, A.J., it`s still a big blur to me. There are some things I remember from that, very little, actually.

But I know I was there. And I know I told the truth under oath and I remember that. And even though it will be traumatic, I think that as these children grow up, they will be proud that they spoke out. So, I think that it will be a good thing in the long run.

HAMMER: It could be a very healing thing for them.

GRACE: Yes.

HAMMER: We are also hearing, of course, that after the sentencing, Dr. Murray`s defense plans appeal. Do you think he has any shot of getting this conviction overturned?

GRACE: Oh, blah, blah, blah. Everybody appeals, all right? I can only tell you what some of the grounds are going to be. Insufficient evidence to support the conviction. This should have been suppressed. That should have been suppressed.

It doesn`t amount to a hill of beans. This is not going to be reversed, all right? And last but not least, all I can say is -- I hope that the judge is listening -- throw the book, judge. Throw the book.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Well, I spoke with Nancy just hours after a shocking elimination from "Dancing with the Stars" last night.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ANNOUNCER: On the eighth week of competition the couple to be eliminated just one week shy of the semifinals is Nancy and Tristan.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Man, that just stinks. But Nancy, you did a fantastic job. And now, I`ve got to ask, who is next? Well, the legendary choreographer and star of "Fame," Debbie Allen, right here for a SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview.

Hating on Kim. Remarkable new attacks on Kim Kardashian today for bailing on her marriage. One of her biggest critics is right here.

And Mariah`s body after baby. Mariah Carey revealing how she dropped 70 pounds in six months.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CAREY: For those who have battling weight problems their whole lives, I had like this whole other understanding of what it really feels like to not be able to do anything about it.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Mariah reveals her secret to her sexy new body. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" -- more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Rapper Heavy D dies in Beverly Hills at age 44. Cause of death still under investigation. Kristen Stewart tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT why she`s tight-lipped about her person life.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KRISTEN STEWART, ACTRESS: You really only want to talk something like that with people that know you and they really genuinely care. It does feel a little bit like you`re selling something.

And even if that`s not true for whatever weirdo reason in my head -- that`s how I interpret it -- interpret it, I don`t want it -- sort of give in to that. You know what I mean? Because it grosses me out.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANNOUNCER: From this eighth week of competition, the couple who will be eliminated just one week shy of the semifinals is Nancy and Tristan.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Aww. Well, our hats off to HLN`s own Nancy Grace. Yes, she was voted off of "Dancing with the Stars" last night, but I am here to tell you that she shimmied her heart out for eight straight weeks, not enough to get that mirror ball trophy, unfortunately. She could have put it up on her mantle next to her law degree, I was thinking.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. And tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dares to ask, who is next to go on "Dancing with the Stars"?

Who will be voted off next week? Come on, guys, we have to give it up for Nancy one more time. We are very, very proud of you, Nancy. I hated to see her go last night.

So now, we have only four celebrity stars remaining. Who will take home that coveted mirror ball trophy? Well, I`m so pleased we have a very special guest who is breaking it down for us tonight

Debbie Allen is here with me in New York. Now, Debbie, of course, has been a judge of "So You Think You Can Dance." And she is an Emmy-winning choreographer and actress who of course starred in the classic TV series, "Fame."

It is so good to have you here with us in New York. I want to get right to "Dancing with the Stars," because obviously, we are here rooting for our teammate Nancy Grace.

DEBBIE ALLEN, AWARD-WINNING CHOREOGRAPHER: Yes, Nancy.

HAMMER: And it wasn`t meant to be. Who is next to get voted off in your mind?

ALLEN: It`s hard to say, because, on these shows, it is not always the best dancer that wins.

HAMMER: Correct.

ALLEN: It`s the most popular, who`s the favorite. On "So You Think You Can Dance," many times, the best dancer has not won.

It is a popularity contest and it`s who is tugging at your heart. I mean, I don`t know who is going to go next, but I know who kind of the top favorites might really be.

HAMMER: Hey, look, Hope Solo pulled it out. Everybody thought she was going to be gone a couple of weeks ago and she`s still motoring on. I think it`s between her and Rob to get tossed off next, personally. But J.R. Martinez --

ALLEN: J.R. --

HAMMER: He is the one to beat right now. And he has done so well. He got the perfect score -- two perfect scores in this last week`s show. He says that the best is yet to come. Let`s watch what he told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT last night.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

J.R. MARTINEZ, "DANCING WITH THE STARS" CONTESTANT: It has been a lot of weeks that she`s been pretty much kind of toning down my thunder in rehearsal. And this week, my thunder is going to have to be put to quiet storm.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: All right. Debbie, you a judge on "So You Think You Can Dance."

ALLEN: Yes.

HAMMER: Look, from really nearly the beginning, we have all been watching J.R. thinking this guy has it locked up, realizing, of course, it`s a popularity contest. If it was just that, he probably would simply win it. But do you think he needs to be watching his back?

ALLEN: You always have to because you know, it`s like any campaign. You never know which way the audience is going to turn. They might want to see a little bit more.

One false step could change an audience`s idea about your performance or who should win. Ricki Lake is holding her own and I have to tell you.

HAMMER: Yes. Is this someone you`re rooting for personally?

ALLEN: I have to say J.R., because he tugs at me heart.

HAMMER: Yes.

ALLEN: He tugs -- you know what? I love his lines. I love how he -- you know, his heartbeat is just --

HAMMER: And he is a genuinely good guy. Listen, I want to talk to you about something else, because I was watching "Glee" last night. And when I watch that show, I cannot help but think about "Fame" --

ALLEN: Yes.

HAMMER: Which, of course, you starred on, you know, some 30 years ago almost when that show was on. And you guys, like "Glee," covered some pretty controversial storylines particularly for when you guys were on.

So last night in the show, you had Curt and Blaine`s characters, you had Rachel and Finn supposedly having sex for the first time.

And this had people in an uproar. The Parents Television Council called it reprehensible. In my mind, it`s just showing what actually does go on in high school, much like your show, "Fame," did back in the 1980s. Do you think there`s anything wrong with that?

ALLEN: I think that television is playing to the audience. We are playing to the intelligence of the audience. We`re not raising kids in the little bubble anymore.

I mean, young kids have to know about AIDS. You have to know about so many things. So parents that are upset should really be supervising television. And you know, "Glee" has always been very gay-and-lesbian friendly. Everybody knows that.

HAMMER: Yet, separate from that, they`re just showing -- I think, putting a mirror up to society and saying, hey, guess what? This is what goes on. Debbie, it is great to have you here. You come back to see us?

ALLEN: I hope I can back and talk about "JoinThePacemakers.com."

HAMMER: Let me congratulate you on that right and tell people about it. Debbie just kicked off "Join the Pacemakers" campaign.

And it`s all about the latest technology for people with heart issues who need the pacemakers. What I want you to do is go to "JoinThePacemakers.com." to get more information. Again, Debbie, great to have you. Thank you.

ALLEN: Thank you so much, A.J.

HAMMER: All right. So we`ve got to move on because the "Showbiz on Call" phone lines have just been on fire. People are calling in about Kim Kardashian`s divorce.

I want to play you this call that came in from Arlene in Arizona who says, leave Kim alone.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

ARLENE, CALLER FROM ARIZONA: Kim`s marriage is her business. It`s her failure which she has to deal with on a personal level.

She doesn`t owe anybody any explanation. She is the one who has to live with her decisions. And you know, about the gifts -- who cares, you know? And the ring, she really needs to keep it.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

HAMMER: Thank you, Arlene. We also heard from Sue in Oregon calling into "Showbiz on Call." She thinks the whole thing was a publicity stunt.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

SUE, CALLER FROM OREGON: I apologize, but it seems like it`s a major publicity stunt. She announced it the week that her mother was coming out with a brand-new book, so that gave everything else much more publicity.

She -- all of the promos for the new series that she and her sisters are doing seem to be detailing all of the issues in the marriage.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

HAMMER: Thanks, sue. I am dying to know what you think. Call me at "Showbiz on Call." Sound off on anything. The phone lines are always open at 1-888-SBT-BUZZ; 1-888-728-2899. Please leave me a voicemail I can play your call here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Tonight, Mariah sheds the pounds and shares the secrets to getting her sexy back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Justin Bieber, talking about that paternity suit filed by a 20-year- old woman. He`s talking. He`s tweeting. And I`ve got to wonder if he should just put a lid on it. I`m going to get the spin doctor`s advice for the Biebs, coming up next. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Here comes the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" -- more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Oh, so you think she was excited? The look on Sophia`s face, classic there. Well, Ellen provided Sophia and Rosie with their own red carpet get-ups and VIP passes to the AMAs. In return, well the girls performed Adele`s chart-topper, "Rolling in the Deep."

(SINGING)

HAMMER: I love that. Sure to be another YouTube hit. I am thinking that Sophia Grace has a bright future ahead of her.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. We`ve got big news breaking tonight -- hating on Kim?

To say that Kim Kardashian got slammed today for bailing on her marriage to Kris Humphries after just 72 days -- well, that might qualify as the understatement of the year.

So here we are, 10 days after Kim announced she was divorcing Kris Humphries even as endless repeats ran on TV of their multimillion-dollar two-part wedding extravaganza.

But now, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, 10 days later, there was an extraordinary series of attacks on Kim today for her decision to become a runaway post-bride.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

KIM KARDASHIAN: If it`s not meant to be, it is not meant to be.

HAMMER: Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries` wedding certainly died a quick death. And E! is making darn sure we are right there at its deathbed.

ANNOUNCER: Not every fairy tale has a happy ending.

HAMMER: E! unveiled a new promo today for the upcoming fourth season of "Kourtney and Kim Take New York," and it promises that we`ll get to see the marriage that debuted four long weeks ago on TV disintegrate before our very eyes.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that Kim`s over-the-top wedding, followed quickly by her out-of-the-blue divorce has put America in the throes of Kardashian bashing.

JO PIAZZA, AUTHOR, "CELEBRITY, INC.": Everybody loves to hate on Kim Kardashian these days. She has really become, no pun intended, the butt of everybody`s joke.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Oh, I got divorced.

HAMMER: "Saturday Night Live" ripped her apart in a merciless sketch.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Things are looking up for me. I`m single, and there is an NBA lockout.

HAMMER: Now, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can reveal these startling new headlines that popped up online today as the Kardashian criticism got flat-out mean.

The headline on this Reuters article posted today warns of a Kardashian backlash. The headline on this "Huffington Post" article says, "We should be offended by Kim Kardashian and every other bride like her."

And the headline today on the "New York Daily News" Web site calls for a boycott of all things Kardashian.

FULLER: I just think that there is an awful lot of fans who are upset about this.

HAMMER: "HollywoodLife.com`s" Bonnie Fuller, who just wrote a controversial blog demanding Kim apologize to her fans tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Kim`s got a lot to answer for.

FULLER: They really believed in the fairy tale. They loved Kim. They went along with the marriage. They wanted her to be happy. And they are shocked and they`re upset by this quickie divorce.

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that the Kardashian bashing is even causing some big-time collateral damage. Tyler Perry`s decision to cast Kim in his next movie, which is called, of all things, "The Marriage Counselor," isn`t going over too well with his fans.

Perry`s Web site was swamped with complaints today. One fan writes, "This will be the first one of your movies I`ll be skipping."

And someone else wrote of Kim, "She has no morals; isn`t this typically the basis of most of your movies? I cannot support this foolishness."

The anti-Kim backlash has even swept up the queen of wedding wear, Kim`s pal, Vera Wang. Vera Wang designed Kim`s wedding gown and reportedly is well into production on a line of replicas available to brides everywhere.

But since Kim`s marriage quickly went kaput, some sales reps reportedly are worried that blushing brides all across America will think the Kim dress is cursed. Maybe Vera should consider offering a 72-day money-back guarantee.

PIAZZA: Maybe they could market these divorce dresses, like wedding dresses that after 72 days, actually, the bottom rips off and becomes a skimpy little mini-dress. It is the 72-day convertible wedding dress. You can wear it again.

HAMMER: So with the Kardashian bashing over Kim`s breakup showing no signs of letting up, could it be that America is thinking about breaking up with Kim?

(END VIDEOTAPE)

Yes, breaking up is hard to do, but some say moving on is even harder. And despite the uproar, Kardashian followers are still clinging to Kim`s every move. They`re anxiously waiting to see exactly how the whole marriage fiasco is going to finally play out.

One of the many pieces online today bashing Kim was written by the lovely Keli Goff. Keli is a contributor to "Loop21.com" and the author of "The GQ Candidate." Also with me in New York tonight, Rachel Zalis who is a contributing editor to "Life and Style Weekly."

So the scathing headlines slamming Kim just kept on coming today. I want to read a few of them to you right now. On the "Wrap.com," they said, "People say they feel they have been taken for fools."

This one from "HollywoodLife.com," "Now it`s time to apologize your fans." This on "Huff-Po," "Tyler Perry fans want Kim Kardashian banned from new movie."

Now, Keli, you wrote on "Loop21.com," "She threw us a curve ball." Look, it`s never easy to go through a divorce no matter how short or how long you`ve been married. It seems to me, Keli, like the whole world has turned on Kim Kardashian. Is that fair?

KELI GOFF, CONTRIBUTOR, "LOOP21.COM": Sure. But I think it is a turning that is a long time coming, A.J. I mean, I think some people are pretending that the wedding really is the straw that broke the camel`s back.

I think that the straw that`s really been forming over the time is the reality that, here we are, living in one of the worst recessions in our country`s history.

And here is someone who has made $65 million or someone whose family in that neighborhood for doing what most of us consider pretty tasteless, tacky, classless.

And you know, I think people sort of feel a little bit fed up. And the wedding, this over-the-top $10 million wedding, which, as I explain in my piece, that then demands people bring these thousands of dollars worth of gifts in the wedding registry after someone has a $10 million registry when gay couples can`t even get married in this country, right?

HAMMER: Yes.

GOFF: And then, on top of it, the wedding goes kaput after 72 days. I just think people sort of had it.

HAMMER: It was (UNINTELLIGIBLE) off.

(CROSS TALK)

GOFF: Absolutely. Long time coming.

HAMMER: In your mind, this was inevitable. Even though we love to be entertained by the classless, money-grubbing, all of that stuff.

GOFF: Right. In all seriousness, there are plenty of people who can`t afford to have weddings. They`ve done articles about that. They can`t afford weddings in this economy.

And these are people who have been together for years and years and years. And here`s someone who has sort of treated it like a joke, right?

HAMMER: Yes.

GOFF: And we are kind of sick of it. They are laughing all of the way to the bank, by the way.

HAMMER: I`ve had sympathy for Kris Humphries throughout this whole thing. Here`s a guy who I don`t think had any idea what he was getting himself into.

His father is speaking out now about Kim dumping his son. He gave a brand- new interview that was released today with "Life and Style." And Kris` dad spilling secrets about his son found out that Kim was bailing on the marriage.

Here`s what he tells "Life and Style," "There was never a discussion. It just came out of nowhere and blindsided Kris. He`s hurting, but we are here for him."

Now, Rachel, you almost have to feel sorry, if you didn`t already, hearing about Kris and what his dad said in your magazine. Do you think the masses may have turned on Kim, perhaps because it did seem -- I don`t know -- cold and heartless the way it all happened?

RACHEL ZALIS, CONTRIBUTING EDITOR, "LIFE AND STYLE WEEKLY": Yes. I think the poor guy felt like a chump, you know. She rushed him into marriage and then she rushes him into divorce.

So come on. At the same time, she didn`t commit a crime or anything. It`s just a divorce, but the thing is I think that her fans really buy into the dream.

You know, hey support her. They buy all the products. They want to live that fairy tale. And here, she broke this guy`s heart. She crushed him.

HAMMER: Yes. I think at the end of the day, though, people are still going to stick around because, at the end of the day, it is entertainment. I believe that. I do have to end it there. Keli Goff, Rachel Zalis, great to see you both. Thank you.

All right. Do we need to quiet the Biebs? Justin Bieber cannot stop tweeting about the claims that he fathered a love child. Here`s our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint tonight, would Bieber be better off just keeping quiet?

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Tonight, quiet the Biebs?

In one tweet after another, Justin Bieber has not been able to stop himself. And he keeps on tweeting about the claims by a woman that he fathered her child. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has got to ask, is it seriously the way to go?

So with me now from Hollywood tonight, SHOWBIZ spin doctor himself, Howard Bragman, of "Reputation.com."

Howard, I`m watching this thing play out. The baby situation, very much on Bieber`s mind obviously, and like I said, it`s one tweet after another.

Let me read the latest one he sent out. He said, "So this past week and even today, every rumor and lie about me possible has been coming out in the press. Just need to ignore it. But even through all the crap and the lies, my fans have been there for me."

Now, look, Howard, I get that the Biebs wants to speak directly to his fans. They expect that of him. But is this really the way to handle it? Is it too much? You`ve got a minute to spin it.

All right, A.J. Let me tell you last week, when this first came out, he and his team handled it great. He went on TV. He looked the camera in the eye, and then he said, "I am not the father. This is false. I will defend myself vigorously," which is great.

And then, over the weekend, his team leaked to TMZ the fact that he was willing to do a paternity test, which says pretty confidently that you`re not going to be the father because if there is any risk, you`re not going to take that test, right?

So that was great. Monday morning, I`m thinking they really have it together. And then, yesterday, he kept tweeting. And what is really screwed up to me from a PR point of view -- his album came out number one.

He is essentially the biggest pop star in the world. He had his chance to change the dialogue which is what we love to do in PR. Let`s talk about the music. Let`s get away from this, and it didn`t work.

He kept bringing this up. And now, here we are today talking about the baby which is not serving him well.

HAMMER: Look, he did it in exactly a minute. That was pretty good, Howard. Now, listen, you know, obviously, the Twitter, I think, has become the publicist`s worst nightmare at some times.

And we all know Bieber`s fans are very protective of him. This woman, actually, who claims that she had his baby has reportedly gotten death threats over it. You have Bieb fans rallying around him and he`s playing to that.

But Howard, if you were the Biebs` spin doctor, what would your prescription be? I assume more of the "get back to your message about your music and leave it at that."

HAMMER: Yes, he`s got a great new Christmas album. I`d be pushing my Christmas album, ignoring the baby talk. That will be there on the sidelines when he needs to talk about it and continue with his amazing career, A.J.

HAMMER: And this is why you`re the master. Howard Bragman, thank you.

From baby drama to hot mama. The skinny on Mariah. Mariah Carey revealed her svelte new body today. And wow, talk about a change. She lost 70 pounds, 7-0. Can you put it up, please?

Take a look at this. Mariah baring her tummy on the cover of "Us Weekly" magazine. Look at her. Wow. Stunning. Just six months after giving birth to twins. I don`t understand that.

In all, listen to this, Mariah lost 70 pounds, as I said. Thirty of those pounds were gone in three months, thanks to Jenny Craig.

And today, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT was right there as Jenny revealed that Mariah is their latest spokesperson. Now, as we know, Mariah is not the first star to go from pregnancy to photo-ready in a blink of an eye

But I`m asking in our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint tonight, is Mariah`s post-baby body an impossible standard for regular moms?

Here with me in New York, the fantastic Sheryl Lee Ralph who is an actress, activist and mom. In Hollywood tonight, Kristin Cruz. Kristin is the co- host of "The Mark and Kristin Show" on KOST in Los Angeles.

Look, no doubt Mariah looks amazing. Can we look at her before her babies? Look at that, on the left side of your screen there. On the right, Mariah after her pregnancy. A little bit of a difference, right, Sheryl Lee? I have to say nothing but congratulations to Mariah. But to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, is Mariah`s post-baby body an impossible standard?

SHERYL LEE RALPH, ACTRESS AND ACTIVIST: It is absolutely not impossible. Look, she did it, and she did it the old-fashioned way. She worked out more and she ate less.

Besides, she`s got a handsome young husband, too, to work her out a little bit more, too. So that is a good thing. But there is nothing bad about this. I`m like, you go, Mariah. Work it out, Mariah.

HAMMER: Would you like to say a little more?

RALPH: Oh, baby.

HAMMER: Here`s the thing. Mariah went on the Rosie O`Donnell`s show last night to reveal her new body. I want you to watch what Mariah confesses to Rosie about how pregnancy has sparked a new compassion for women everywhere who struggle with their weight. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CAREY: It hurt the whole time, but it got to the point where I really realized, like, your knees, your joints --

ROSIE O`DONNELL, HOST, "THE ROSIE SHOW": Your knees, your joints, yes.

CAREY: They can only tolerate --

O`DONNELL: Take so much, right.

CAREY: Yes. And so people that have been battling weight problems their whole lives, I had this like this whole other understanding of what it really feels like to not be able to do anything.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Kristin, I`m giving a big thumbs-up to Mariah here. But do you think women are thinking inspiration or impossible? Because really, what she pulled off was pretty incredible.

KRISTIN CRUZ, CO-HOST, "THE MARK AND KRISTIN SHOW": It was. And A.J., as you know, I just had a baby three months ago, so I love this story, and I hate this story. She looks fantastic.

I don`t know if she had, you know, Jenny Craig, herself, in the kitchen cooking for Mariah, because, you know, she can work that.

She can work that out, but those standards are kind of tough. I am not going to look like Mariah any time soon.

HAMMER: But are you thinking now as somebody who has gone through something similar, well, maybe I`m going to read up a little more on what Mariah did and maybe take on some of that myself?

CRUZ: I do love that, yes. I think it is inspiring and interesting. I love that Jenny Craig is making her a spokesperson. It`s a little flavor.

As a Latina, I like that about that. So I`m interested. I do want to know what she did. But I have a feeling it`s something way out of my pay grade.

HAMMER: Well, you have to investigate and see about it. Look, if it is Jenny, that is certainly is affordable for every person as far as I know.

CRUZ: Yes.

HAMMER: Mariah, of course, known as much for her voice as her fantastic figure now. Now, she is the global ambassador for Jenny, which is getting a lot of mileage out of this.

Sheryl Lee, you know, Mariah worked really hard to get her sexy back. I know she`s still working on it. But as a new mom, what do you think her message should be for other moms out there?

RALPH: You know, in a world where you can be just about anything you want to be, be yourself. Do you. It takes time to lose that baby weight.

And trust me, as a mother of two, I remember what it felt like to walk up the stairs and have my behind meet me five minutes later. So I say that you`ve got to work at it, baby, but it`s worth it. Watch what you eat and exercise. It never hurts, only makes you feel better.

HAMMER: Yes. And I see her doing a whole -- I bet she is going to write a book.

RALPH: Yes.

HAMMER: She`s going to do kids` albums now.

RALPH: Absolutely.

HAMMER: I think that Mariah has always been something a lot of women have looked up to. Now, she will be relatable on an entirely different level.

RALPH: Absolutely.

HAMMER: Sheryl Lee Ralph, always great to see you. Kristin Cruz, great to see you as well. Thanks for being here.

The Web site just launched its comedy hub for the 2012 presidential election. And Mike Tyson is already feeling the show. Who knew that Mike Tyson was so multitalented? Boxer, actor and now comedian.

Tyson is not the only one making fun of the 2012 presidential candidates on "Funny or Die." Former "Saturday Night Live" funny man Darrell Hammond is also taking on Rick Perry. But I`ve got to say, Tyson totally grabbed the spotlight as Cain, right. Guys, check out the rest of it.

TYSON: Hi, I`m Herman Cain, a man who was shot (UNINTELLIGIBLE). I used to be the CEO of "Godfather." And the pizza was so gross it made my children hate pizza.

But now I`m running for president and leading in the Republican polls. Why? Because the tea party loves crazy more than they hate blacks and I`m crazier than a (EXPLETIVE DELETED). And I`m not going anywhere.

I will win this Republican nomination, because with your support I can and will be much crazier. Change! I`m going to wear flag pants the size of a fat baby`s head.

I mean, I liked it before I was pregnant, but now I literally won`t eat anything without it."

What about Jessica Simpson? Well, she just tweeted, "I crave cantaloupe like a crazy person. I can eat a whole cantaloupe in one morning." Jessica also reveals she won`t eat the cantaloupe without dumping a whole bunch of salt on it. Now, that is kind of strange.
