CARLOS DIAZ, HLN HOST (voice-over): Big news breaking tonight on "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT."

Behind the breakup, Demi dumps Ashton after six years. What really happened? Was it cheating? Was it tweeting? Or was their 16-year age difference? Tonight, "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" goes inside the Demi-Ashton split.

The Natalie Wood murder mystery, police re-opened the 30-year-old case in the death of the beloved west side story actress. The captain of the boat where Natalie was last seen points the finger at Robert Wagner.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Do you have any evidence, any information to say there was foul play?

DENNIS DAVERN, FORMER CAPTAIN OF YACHT: I think it is a matter of we`re not going to look too hard.

HAMMER: Tonight, the great debate, was Natalie Wood murdered?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I will miss spending all of these mornings with you. I hope to see you all again soon.

DIAZ: Farewell Regis. Tonight, "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" is there for Regis` final curtain call on "Live with Regis and Kelly." The big question tonight, what`s next for Reg?

TV`s most provocative entertainment news show breaks news right now.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

DIAZ: Hello. I`m Carlos Diaz in for A.J. Hammer with big news breaking tonight.

Behind the breakup, Demi and Ashton are no more. And tonight, we are getting brand new insight in just how their relationship unraveled. We got to remember Demi and Ashton went from being the odd couple, whose 16 year age difference was all people could talk about to becoming a pro toe type of making blended families work in Hollywood. How far they have fallen?

Now, in the middle of the whirlwind when a peeving claims against Ashton, Demi officially pulls the plug. She released a very personal statement he tweeted his own and in a newly released interview, Ashton`s own words are shedding light on his relationship with Demi.

So, what is the real story? With me tonight in New York, family attorney Vicki Ziegler and from Hollywood Melanie Bromley who is the west coast bureau chief of us weekly.

Let`s get to the first big bombshell. "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" learned late today before Demi announced she was ending their six-year marriage. Ashton Kutcher not only posed for the December cover of men`s health magazine but also did an interview when he was asked to finish this sentence. "I could never be with a woman who" - Kutcher replied, wow, that`s tough. "I never could be with a woman who felt like she needed to change me." Adding "I would like a woman someday, somewhere at some point my life to say to me you are a great listener.

Haven`t heard it yet and that is a superior compliment to get from a woman but I`m going to work on it. Sounds like he believes that Demi was trying to change him and he also sounds like he is ready already moved on from their marriage when they did the interview. I think this makes him look bad. What do you think?

VIKKI ZIEGLER, FAMILY ATTORNEY: Yes. Bad, bad, bad. You know what? I think we have seen Ashton Kutcher on twitter do really type some foul-up is. At the end of the day, listen, your marriage, the world is watching your marriage dissolve right before your eyes.

You know what, take the high road. Especially in light of the fact they have a 15-year age difference. Show people it is not about that, but he doesn`t have marriage on his mind. Clearly, and that really shows me that this marriage has been perhaps over and he`s not taking it as hard as Demi in terms of her twitter response that she holds values and vows seriously, insinuating trust may have been a problem here.

DIAZ: Yes, I know. I will get to that in a second. You add this new bombshell to Ashton`s tweet about his marriage ending when he posted after Demi released her statement. Here`s what Ashton wrote. `I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail."

A lot of people are asking, where`s the apology? But you know what? I mean, I guess if he apologized, and he basically be admitting he screwed up. I personally think he should just keep his twitter and his trap shut.

But Melanie, do you think Ashton would help to smooth out his rep if he set the record straight for good?

MELANIE BROMLEY, WEST COAST BUREAU CHIEF, US WEEKLY: I think he should set the record straight. We all know what happens. We all know what the truth is. And I think there has to come a time where he has to admit to what went wrong in the marriage and his part in it. The fact is the marriage failed but it`s because he was a big part of that and he should take some responsibility.

DIAZ: Now, we have not confirmed, of course, you know, Ashton`s straying, if you will. Got to point that out and hearing this from Ashton makes me feel worse for Demi. Her statement was so riddled with pain when she wrote "it is with great sadness and a heavy heart I have decided to end my six year marriage to Ashton. As a woman, mother and wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life."

Vows. It hugs the heart strings to hear Demi mention keeps vows and values sacred when Ashton seems less emotional about the whole thing. It sounds like they are on different pages. Vikki, do you see the break up getting ugly?

ZIEGLER: My goodness, Carlos. This could get real ugly real fast. Let me tell you why. We don`t know if there is a prenuptial agreement in place. Let`s assume there is not one at this point. This is about almost $300 million at stake. That means if they don`t settle out of court they will let a judge decide about who gets all of these hundreds of millions of dollars.

Ashton Kutcher has interest in restaurants. They have businesses together. There are lots at stake. I mean this could get really ugly really fast. And listen, when somebody`s alleged to have cheated you know there`s no reason to say, hey, listen, let`s do it amicably and split it up. I don`t think - I think this could get really, really big and fireworks could implode.

DIAZ: What is it with people who take the role in two and a half men and all of a sudden their life goes ahh! Melanie, your magazine, "US Weekly" had the interview with the woman who claimed to have had a fling with Ashton. Do you think she will feel vindicated by the divorce news?

BROMLEY: I think that you know I actually sat with Sarai (ph) and sit with her four hours for that interview. I think, you know, she was a 22-year- old girl who went to a hotel room and met a movie star who told her he was single and separated and she had a fun night with him, you know. At the time she didn`t think she was doing anything wrong.

I texted her yesterday and broke the news to her about what had just happened. I haven`t heard from her. I don`t think she will be happy by the news, of course not. She certainly didn`t go out of her way to try to break up the marriage. This only happened because he told her he was single.

DIAZ: OK. Well, of course everyone wants to know exactly why Demi decided to call it quits. And for our "SHOWBIZ" exclusive poll tonight, we are asking you, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher split: what do you think was behind the breakup, age, infidelity or the pressures of fame?

Let us know what you think. Vote at hlntv.com/SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Alright, I`ve got to move on to more breaking news tonight, the Kim Kardashian divorce drama. Kris Humphries has spoken publicly for the very first time since Kim abruptly filed for divorce 72 days after their fairy tale wedding. "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" was there at the event for sector watches for which he is a spokesman. Look at what he said about life after Kim.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KRIS HUMPHRIES, NBA BASKETBALL PLAYER: I`m happy to be here. As you all know, it`s been a difficult time in my life and I`m so grateful to Kris, Phil and my friends at sector for their unwavering support.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Short and sweet like his marriage to Kim.

Melanie, you think he is waiting for a big payday to speak his mind?

BROMLEY: I really don`t know. I`m kind of like not sure whether it was part of that separation agreement that either of them would not speak but it is very clear that in her show something will be addressed as far as this is concerned. And so --

DIAZ: Vikki --

BROMLEY: He has his own platform as well.

DIAZ: But Vikki, real quick. And you have to imagine there`s got to be paperwork and documents that say, Kris can`t open his mouth right now.

ZIEGLER: There is serious language that either party cannot especially Kris Humphries` discussion the litigation in the event of divorce. If there wasn`t, somebody -- they are calling their lawyer and saying why wasn`t it in there.

So, I highly doubt it was not. It definitely is and we probably won`t hear about the juicy details about the divorce. We will see, what we see on the show on November 27th but remember Kim Kardashian is an executive producer. She is going to control what we see.

DIAZ: Exactly. Vikki, Melanie, great job as always. Thank you so much.

Alright, now, the Natalie Wood murder mystery.

Tonight why police are re-opening the 30-year-old case of the west side story actress? Could she have been murdered? HLN`s Nancy Grace weighs in on the Hollywood mystery in a "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" news maker interview.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

DIAZ: Welcome back to "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT". I`m Carlos Diaz in for A.J. Hammer.

And tonight showbiz justice. There are shocking new claims that they finally unravel the mystery of what happened the night film icon Natalie Wood suddenly and mysteriously vanished from a boat.

It`s been 30 years since her death, now the captain of that boat is speaking out. Changing his story and pointing the finger directly at her husband, Robert Wagner saying he is to blame. Now police reveal an all-new investigation is underway. Here`s what they said today.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Recently we have received information which we felt was substantial enough, to make us take another look at this case. The case has been assigned to two sheriff`s homicide investigators who will be following up on the additional information as well as any other additional information that may develop.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: No one saw this coming. Earlier today I asked HLN`s Nancy Grace to break it down for us.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: So, Nancy, on "the Today show" this morning, the captain offered new clues as to what he told police about Robert Wagner that made authorities reopen the case. Watch this.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Was he responsible for her death in some way?

DAVERN: Well, like I said, I think, we all made mistakes that night and --

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Mister Cavern, that wasn`t my question. Was he responsible for her death? I`m not asking about your story.

DAVERN: I would say so yes.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: OK. As you can hear, that was a very tense interview. This is a very unusual step to re-open an investigation after 30 years. Nancy, what is it say about the new information he`s passed on them?

NANCY GRACE, HOST, NANCY GRACE SHOW: Well. What interesting about it, Carlos, is that, it`s not just him saying it but them actually re-opening the case because of what he said? And what he also told me is, you know, to my face, Carlos, is that that evening that he was almost sick to his stomach. He wanted to call the restaurant on shore. He wanted to call the coast guard. And according to him, Robert Wagner stated Natalie`s missing. They looked all over the yacht, the "splendour," couldn`t find her. And that Wagner is the one who didn`t want to call authorities or the restaurant. And gave him a drink instead and finally they did call.

DIAZ: Well, a lot of people might be saying, Nancy, why should anyone believe this guy now when he apparently didn`t tell the whole truth when it happened?

GRACE: Well you know, a lot of witnesses have not told police the whole truth. I`m not excusing it but what sticks out in my mind, Carlos, is there is an independent witness, a woman on a sailboat close by that actually did call authorities that night after she heard a woman, a woman`s voice begging for help out in the water the night that Natalie Wood goes missing.

So, if you take her statement, which was under oath to police, plus Cavern, the captain`s statement together, there`s a problem.

DIAZ: Well, Robert Wagner and his family released a statement and saying in part "they fully support the efforts of the L.A. county sheriff`s department and trust they will evaluate whether any new information relating to the death of Natalie Wood Wagner is valid."

Now, Wagner rep goes on to say, "the family hopes this isn`t about people trying to profit off of the 30 year anniversary of Natalie`s death." What are the chances this could be a murder investigation?

GRACE: Well, they have already re-opened the investigation in to her death. So it is inching toward a murder investigation right now. Obviously they have enough to re-open the case. I want to remind you that Natalie Wood`s body was covered in bruises and an abrasion on her face. She had publicly stated, Carlos, that her greatest fear was dark ocean water.

So, I find it hard to believe that she, in her night gown would go out in the night, following a big fight with her husband Robert Wagner and get in to the dingy. I mean have you ever tried to tie and untie a boat? I have.

DIAZ: Right.

GRACE: And I have a fear of the water as well. I just -- one of the scariest things I did was a night dive, diving in the dark. I don`t see it. I think that they have a lot of reasons to go forward with this but I`m pleased to hear Robert Wagner`s family, including him in supporting the re-opening of the investigation.

DIAZ: Well, I`m sure we will hear more about this in the days and weeks to come on your show.

Now, let`s completely shift gears, and Nancy, I`m going to be 100 percent honest with you right now, because when I heard you were going to be on "Dancing with the Stars," I`m like I have to see this. You completely blew me away. I thought you did an amazing job. I`m not kidding. I watched to watch you. You did a great, great job, seriously. And I have to get your input. What do you think? We`re in the final week, three more people. Who`s going to take home that mirror ball trophy?

GRACE: You know, Carlos, I could never believe it I made it to the final five and I will be dancing on Tuesday in the finale with Tristan. But you know take a look at who it is. You have J.R. who is a war hero that can dance. You got Ricki Lake, a professional actress and dancers paired up with Derrick who is a fantastic choreographer. And you`ve got Rob Kardashian and Cheryl and Rob Kardashian has the Kardashian butt in his favor. So you know it is anybody`s.

DIAZ: Thank you so much, Nancy Grace. Nancy Grace, talking butts, nice. And of course you can see and hear much more from Nancy Grace week nights here on HLN.

A.J. HAMMER, HLN HOST: Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

And this is a special edition of "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT", showbiz reality secrets. We reveal the reality behind reality TV shows and tonight, cashing in.

"SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" has uncover the truth behind the remarkable amount of money that stars make for letting their reality get captured on camera. Don`t even try keeping up with the money the Kardashians are cashing in on and let me tell you, the best situation The Situation ever got in to was agreeing to do "Jersey Shore."

Tonight "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" can tell you while we may laugh at these reality stars, they are laughing all the way to the bank.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: On "Jersey Shore" the gang is forced to work at a pizzeria.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: How am I supposed to know how to cook a pizza?

HAMMER: But make no mistake, this group of would be pizza makers is rolling in dough of a different kind.

JOE PIAZZA, ENTERTAINMENT JOURNALIST, AUTHOR, CELEBRITY, INC: The situation, Snooki, they are in the three million to five million annual salary range.

HAMMER: Yes. The situation`s a multimillionaire. Kind of makes you want to bang your head against a wall, doesn`t it?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Stop!

HAMMER: Kim Kardashian may cry her eyes out when she loses a $75,000 earring. But trust us, she can afford it. She reportedly made $16 million last year.

How do these reality show stars get so rich? We`ll tell you one thing. It is not from their TV salaries. That`s just a drop in the bucket.

Now, "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" finally reveals the top secret ways reality show stars cash in. One way reality stars cash in, the super-secret endorsement.

PIAZZA: You can make around six figures just from secret endorsement deals.

HAMMER: Celebrity journalist, Joe Piazza, the author of celebrity, inc. where some celebs shared their super secret money making ways. And old favorite is the secret endorsement deal.

PIAZZA: They would sip a can of soda in public or wear a certain jogging sneaker when they are running in Melville and they will get paid just for that.

HAMMER: Perhaps is. Brands would pay, him and his wife, Patty Montag (ph) $10,000 for each time the paparazzi snapped them using, drinking or wearing their products in public.

PIAZZA: Once you know about it, then you are going to see it all the time. You are going to be like why is that celebrity always drinking that brand of soda or that kind of coffee or wearing that ugly t-shirt? If it is that ugly they are probably getting paid to wear it.

HAMMER: Another way reality stars cash in, the staged photo up.

PIAZZA: They call the photographer. They tell them, look, I`m going to the in and out burger today, why don`t you take a few snaps of me? The photographer takes exclusive photos of them and then sells it to the magazine. Then the fee is split between the photo agency and reality star. So they are making maybe $10,000 for a picture.

HAMMER: And a fun way for reality stars to cash in, partying for profit.

PIAZZA: Appearance fees for someone in the jersey shore range start at $25,000 just for them to show up at a club, a restaurant, casino.

HAMMER: The current queens of the party game, the Kardashian sisters.

PIAZZA: They are constantly in the six figures, typically higher.

HAMMER: And you won`t believe another way some reality stars cash in, tweeting for cash where stars endorse products on twitter. Kardashians rule this game as well.

PIAZZA: Kim makes approximately $10,000 per tweet just to send out that she likes certain brands.

HAMMER: So, if you are a top tier reality show star and you send out two tweets a week, stage paparazzi photo every month, and go clubbing every month. Something the jersey shore gang can do without breaking a sweat, you can pull in more than a million dollars alone.

Add in various endorsements, book deals and business venture and you too can make the estimated $5 million a year, Mike "the situation" Sorentino and Lauren Conrad make.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: All you care about is money.

HAMMER: Or if you are really lucky the $65 million the Kardashian Empire reportedly hauled in last year.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We only have $3600. Skinny girl, Margarita.

HAMMER: Or if you are crazy lucky, the $120 million ex-real housewife of New York Bethany Frankel made when she sold her skinny girl brand.

PIAZZA: I think reality stars realize that their shelf life of fame is pretty small.

HAMMER: Celebrity journalist, Joe Piazza tells "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT", there is one thing a reality star needs to be and that is realistic, especially when it comes to their earning potential.

PIAZZA: A good reality star has a run of two to three years and they want to milk that cash cow for all that it is worth as fast as they can.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: So, I`m watching that and thinking that reality super stardom is one of the few recession-proof gigs. Good work if you can get it, right?

And right now, I`m thrilled to have a reality TV veteran joining me now from Hollywood, Kristin Cavallari. Kristin is currently fighting for the coveted mirror ball trophy on "Dancing with the Stars."

Great to see you, Kristin, and might I add, you look absolutely lovely tonight.

KRISTIN CAVALLARI, CONTESTANT, DANCING WITH THE STARS SEASON 13: Thank you.

HAMMER: You are welcome.

So, I`m thinking that if there is anybody who has really mastered the art of making a successful career out of and really cashing in on being a successful reality show star, it is you. You starred on two MTV shows of course. We know you from "the Hills of Laguna Beach" and now seeing you dancing on "Dancing with the Stars." So, I say well done. I have to get your take on what is the secret to cashing in on reality TV.

(LAUGHTER)

CAVALLARI: I mean I don`t know. I guess I would just say you have to have a strong personality. And you know this is one of the times when someone who is shy probably won`t shine. You really just kind have to bring it.

I mean when I did Laguna Beach, how I got it is we filled out this 20-page packet and some questions were, you know, who do you think will be the prom queen? And I would write things like I don`t know and I don`t care as long as it is not Lauren Conrad. So, I knew what I was doing. And I knew I was bringing drama to it.

HAMMER: Yes. You have to step it up a bit because I don`t know, and tell me if I`m wrong, I don`t get the impression you are actually as dramatic as you appear to be sometimes on television.

CAVALLARI: Not at all. Not at all. It is all fun and games for the camera.

HAMMER: And here`s the thing and I think you certainly know this to be true a lot of people get bent out of shape. That reality show stars make so much darn money. I always say this is capitalism at work, but why do you think it is, Kristin, that it ticks so many people off that you reality stars do so well?

CAVALLARI: Well, I mean I think that a lot of people don`t think that we`re actually working which isn`t the case. I mean the Hills have shot the exact same way as a movie or TV show. You know, we shot three scenes a day. We did changes to talk about specific things. So mean, it is work, but I can see where real actors, for example, maybe can get a little upset because it is -- the actors do put in a ton of hard work to get where they are. And, you know, we don`t have to memorize natural script which makes it not as hard, I guess but we still put in a lot of work.

HAMMER: And to be clear then, you know, it is not as simple as just being yourself while the cameras roll or in the case of some other reality stars just acting like a complete idiot and getting paid for it?

CAVALLARI: Not in my case. Laguna Beach and the hills were different than other reality TV shows but the Hills, it was shot like a movie. So I mean, you know, I put in a lot of work, too.

HAMMER: Yes. Well now, it has paid off in that you are doing "dancing with the stars" of course, the hills was the last show that you did before dancing that lasted for four years and it had this amazing Hollywood ending that showed us how real it was. Let`s watch that.

(REALITY TV SHOW CLIP PLAYING)

HAMMER: I want to say for all Americans I appreciate that you let us in on what is going on there. Before I let you go and now that you are on "dancing with the stars" and in deference to our dear friend and star here on HLN, Nancy Grace, are you the one to beat?

CAVALLARI: God! I mean I don`t know. I`m just trying to take it one dance at a time. And you know, there`s some pretty stiff competition and there`s a lot of good dancers this season. So, I don`t know. We`ll see. You know?

HAMMER: Good luck to you Kristin. Appreciate you being here. Thank you so much.

CAVALLARI: Thank you.

HAMMER: I want to move on to a rare little reality show secret not many people may know about me. My guilty reality TV pleasure, any reality car show. I love them and I`m totally revved up about the fact the "corellas" are here. I`m talking big cars, big guys with big reality.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You know what your problem you are buying with your (bleep) instead of your head. I should have done this on my own so I could have had a nice pleasurable drive instead of your bald (bleep) busting my balls.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Guess what, though guys will be busting on me. The "corellas" are right here for a turbo charged news maker interview.

"Dancing with the Stars" Louie Van Amstel certainly knows a heck of lot more than the cha-cha. He knows about all of the seemly romances between all of the partners on the show. That`s why Louie has some of the red-hot rehearsal video and says it ends up on the cutting room floor.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LOUIE VAN AMSTEL, FORMER CONTESTANT, DANCING WITH THE STARS: There`s a reason by it is not on the air. It is a little rated R. Anyway, let`s move on.

HAMMER: Hold on for a second. What are you talking about? Louie letting loose on the dancing romances next.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: This is a special edition of "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT", showbiz reality secrets on HLN, news and views.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DANNY BONADUCE, TELEVISION PERSONALITY: Don`t let the show be your bread and butter so you don`t do what I did and that is the train Zillah and what can I do next to make the show bigger because it is all that I have.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Stay on your side!

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What do you know about (bleep) Connecticut?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You are wrong, Mario.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It`s a pizza. It`s a pizza.

HAMMER: Hands off of my pizza. You want to buy a car? I have some fellas who are selling. The stars of hit new reality show "Carfellas" are right here. But are they going to kill each other or make nice? That`s what I want to know.

Welcome back to the special edition of "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT", showbiz reality secrets. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

Sell the car, leave the canole. The car stars of the brad new reality show "Carfellas" have made a big debut on the discovery channel. And so far, so gumba.

With me right now, the stars of "Carfellas" Michael Dy and Tommy Romola who approved that line, by the way. They said they wouldn`t be offended if I said that.

So thank you, guys. Great to see you.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Great to see you.

HAMMER: What a great show. First of all, I don`t know what took reality TV so long to find you guys, but I`m happy it did. And I`m watching your show and I`m thinking well, looks like you guys want to kill each other. You know, you guys are pulling pranks on one another. You chase each other down, making death threats.

I hope you`re just kidding. But I want to take a look at some of what happens in action here. This is a scene between Mario and Tommy and it`s just about a missing toy car.

Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Mario, my car was right here. Where`s my car?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The car`s fine. It`s on the premises.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You have to admit to me that you do have a slight problem.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: He`s having a Cadillac attack.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You`re getting so upset over a freaking toy.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Look over here please.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Just admit it.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What`s over there?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You want to call the police and report a stolen vehicle.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: All right. Now he`s dead.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Lock the door. Lock the door.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Open the door.

(END VIDEO CLIP) HAMMER: Tommy, that`s a lot of drama over a toy car. Can you please tell me that you were playing it up for the cameras, or is what we see what we get?

TOMMY ROMOLA, STAR OF "CARFELLAS": What you see is what you get. I had that car for 12 years and to think that he was going to take it and do something with it then when I find it all pinstriped up, I lost my mind.

HAMMER: So here`s the point with you guys, because this is one of the reality shows secrets. Everybody thinks it`s all hyped up for the cameras and in your case, we`re watching this and this is just life going on. The cameras happen to be rolling.

MIKE D. STAR OF "CARFELLAS": It is as real as you can get and I mean that. We - you know what it is? There is so much chemistry between me, him and Mario. And it`s just -- that`s us. We`ve been doing this for years.

HAMMER: And that`s why I wonder why it took so long for the reality TV cameras to finally catch up with you.

And Mike, you know, it`s no secret you spent some time in prison. You did, if I have this right, three years on racketeering charges and there are a lot of people who are getting into the TV world that would shy away from letting people know that. They don`t -- you know, they don`t want that kind of history or criminal record or anything like that out there.

But it`s right there to the show`s promos. You own it. Did the show`s producer say to you, yes, we want this on, we want people to know about it or we`re not doing the show?

MIKE D: No, they didn`t say that. But what they did say was they want us to be -- Discovery was really in to being real. They did not want us to be fake. They didn`t want fake transactions. So I just hope -- I`m like an open book. It is what it is. I did some things that I`m not proud of. You know? But, you know something, you get past it, now my family is my priority. And you know this is what we`re doing.

HAMMER: Again, it goes back to real is real and we know with some reality shows that`s not necessarily the case.

Look, I`m a car guy so I love watching shows like yours and you`re in the business of selling and buying cars. We see you in one particular episode of your show "Carfellas" trying to buy a classic Cadillac. And we get to hear your absolute final offer and we get to hear what the seller is offering you, which I`m thinking is a trade secret in your business, but let`s watch what happens. How that plays out.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MIKE D: There are a lot of flaws with this car. We have to get this car for 6,000 or less. What are you asking?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I`ll ask 7500.

MIKE D.: Wow.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It`s worth it. It`s worth it, man. You`re not going to find another car like this --

MIKE D.: Worth it to you. I mean I have to put a lot of money in to this car. I think the car is worth probably about $4,000.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Are you kidding me, man. No way.

MIKE D.: If I went up to $4500, we can make a deal?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: No way. Can`t do it.

MIKE D.: I`m going to pay you cash.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What do you think I`m a charity case, man?

MIKE D.: Don`t take it the wrong way.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Someone else offered me more money.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I think he was a little offended there. So are you guys at all worried that, you know, revealing trade secrets like this could hurt your business?

ROMOLA: Not really. I mean they`re not really trade secrets. You never want to pay what a person is asking and anybody would do the same thing. Somebody is asking one price, you want to pay lower. Sometimes you don`t get the car, sometimes you do. You meet in the middle, the car is yours.

HAMMER: Again, bottom line, guys, I love that your reality TV is really reality TV and I love that you put it all out there. It`s great to meet you both, Mike D. and Tommie. Thank you so much.

ROMOLA: Thank you.

MIKE D: Thank you.

HAMMER: All right.

ROMOLA: Thank you.

HAMMER: You can catch "Carfellas" on the Discovery Channel. You want to check this out for sure.

Right now we move to the secrets of the hottest reality hookups on TV and I`m not talking about them on "the bachelor" or "Jersey Shore" or "corellas" for that matter. It is "dancing with the stars."

Yes, the show that is a fave with your grandma also happens to be the show that launched some of the steamiest romances. Now, think about it. You know all those sweaty bodies always pressed together for hours on end with all the practicing, sparks are about to fly, right?

Well, as Louie Van Amstel from "Dancing with the Stars" revealed to me, the real secret is that you can`t even imagine how fired up it can get in those rehearsals.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

AMSTEL: There`s a reason why it`s not on the air. It is a little rated R. Anyway, let`s move on.

HAMMER: Wait, wait! Hold on a second. What are you talking about? No, you are not leaving with that.

AMSTEL: You know, when you dance, I mean two people dancing together.

HAMMER: Yes. You spend hours together. So, of course, sometimes as the flame that hits and you know sometimes --

HAMMER: So, it does happen?

AMSTEL: It happens. It so, natural. It is normal. It`s kind of fun to see if you have two people. Last season this was a couple that I was hoping it would happen because they were so cute together and to see them off camera, the same as on camera, it was too cute.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Too cute indeed. By the way, four of the pro cans dancers coupled up on the show and that spawned two happy marriages.

We move on to hot tubs, romantic rendezvoused and lots, lot of tears. All of that makes great TV every season on "the bachelor." But former contestant Bob Guiney tells me what the real secret is to stirring up the drama.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BOB GUINEY, THE BACHELORS: There are moments when you watch it, you know, it can seem cheesy. During those moments I think I finally had those moments to ask like really, that`s what I have to do here, are you serious?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Bob Guiney reveals all next.

This is a special edition of "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" showbiz reality secrets on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GUINEY: Sadly, I do not find love on the Bachelorette, just that they did choose my hands in marriage but, it is also get metamorphosis, you know, vampires, now lean in here, and looking for love.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I like Bob Guiney. He really was Mister Nice guy n the very first season of the Bachelorette, a totally, back in 2003, wow.

But now, Bob is ripping the lit off a secret of the wild and successful franchise.

Bob is such a fan favor of the Bachelorette that he was invited to star on his own season of "the Bachelor." For more that 15 seasons now, we have live by curiously to all of the ups and downs of the dramatic romances. And of course, heart breaking raised ceremony eliminations.

Bob Guiney tells me, that there`s a little trick that is often used to up the ante to get those motions and formal embracing, and that would be alcohol.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GUINEY: They do produce romance very, very well on that show. I mean they really, you know, a great - you`re looking at all these beautiful moments and you know, attract the people meeting one there in romantic ways. But then, there are also some things that I think are pretty interesting, you know. It`s always interesting to me that, you know, even something as simple as ordering lunch, you know, and you order lunch. And then they also say what you would interest in beverages with your lunch. And your beverage arrived a lot earlier that the food ever does.

And I think that it impacts the way that people behave and it definitely you know ups the end as far as the pressure and as far as the feelings that they might have for these people. But you know there`s definitely some moments that when you watch it, you know, it can seem a little bit cheesy.

And now, looking back at it, I think you know it`s all glorious and wonderful of course. But, during those moments, during moments I think I finally had those moments to arise like really, that`s what I have to do right here? Are you serious?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Well, after all the high flying and sometimes alcohol fills reality TV fame, a lot of stars and or just don`t want to go back to the day job. Some stars really to get on that reality treadmill pop and up on show after show after show.

Bob tells me, he actually feel lucky that he`s been able to maintain a normal life.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GUINEY: It`s very shocking to go back to normal life and I got, you know, I got very lucky I think because ultimately my normal life change a little bit after the show. I was given some great opportunities and that thankfully, I`ve been able to continue doing the things that I was hoping after that was, you know, a little blip on the radar. I was hoping I was going to get to continue do those types of things. And thankfully, I have.

And, so for me, it was definitely a different experience but I do have some friends who went back to different types of normal existences and it was pretty difficult for them as well.

I got to say, honestly, I felt very luck and very blessed to still be given an opportunity. And I - with my family and with my friends, it`s impossible not to remain humble because anytime I started acting, they looked at you, beg for my braces. They bring me right down there.

HAMMER: Good.

GUINEY: I think that`s been a good thing for me. And I definitely did something that, you know, I`m going to take, I`m going to take all the way through in my career.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I got to say, Bob is always seems to me to be such a nice and humble guy. So, I agree with him that would definitely take him a long way in Hollywood.
