JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL, HLN ANCHOR: Tonight, a stunning twist in the Joran Van Der Sloot case. The man considered the prime suspect in Natalee Holloway`s disappearance was set to finally admit he`s guilty and stand trial for killing a woman in Peru. His lawyer said he was ready to give a sincere confession, but then Joran speaks out in court and changes everything. You will not believe the latest.

And Casey Anthony`s new life, is she`s dating and working at a real job? And more fallout from a newly-released video of her rambling that hit the Web. Her lawyer claims its release was illegal, so who`s really behind this latest leak? And what will we hear next from Casey?

Plus, a 36-year-old woman missing for ten days, her car is found abandoned and still running. Her desperate family says she had an argument with a male friend before she vanished. I`ll ask the missing woman`s devastated parents tonight what they know about the man who was the last person to see her.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Breaking news, Joran Van Der Sloot is in court.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: The man once suspected in Natalee Holloway`s disappearance but never charged goes on trial in Peru for murder.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And we were expected to hear a guilty plea from Joran Van Der Sloot, then Joran Van Der Sloot stood up, said that he did not like what he heard in terms of the aggravating details, so he asked for more time.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE (through translator): Do I have time to think this further? Is this a trial the prosecution would prove that the defendant of Van Der Sloot and was with malice.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Is this a man who`s trying to work the system to get a better deal and is this a man who was capable of this kind of brutality? Could he have done this with Natalee Holloway and will we ever have that question answered?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Breaking news tonight as a globe trotter an accused murderer stalls justice again. Infamous Joran Van Der Sloot evades prosecution one more time.

Good evening. Jane Velez-Mitchell coming to you from New York City with breaking news.

Joran Van Der Sloot accused of brutally murdering 21-year-old Stephany Flores in a hotel in Peru. In court just a little while ago, hours ago Joran was supposed to plead guilty to killing Stephany and throw himself at the mercy of the court, but then Joran, oh, what a shock here, pulled a fast one and totally changed his mind. Listen.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JORAN VAN DER SLOOT, ON TRIAL FOR MURDER (through translator): I want to abide by my confession. But I don`t agree with the aggravating factors mentioned by the minister of justice.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (through translator): So you do not plead guilty or you don`t deem yourself guilty according to what the prosecution has stated.

VAN DER SLOOT: Do I have time to think this further?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Yes ho, with that smirk? Why did Joran change his tune? Perhaps it was because of the prosecutor`s gruesome step by step description of Stephany`s brutal, bloody, horrific death. Listen.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The prosecution will prove that the defendant attacked the victim brutally, attacked her with cruelty. She (INAUDIBLE) in various parts of her body. Hits her face with violence; hits her head; takes her pants off. Strangles her with his own hands and kills her with a garment belongs to the defendant. A garment that was stained with blood.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: This is not Joran`s first foray with the court system. We all know he is suspect number one in the Aruban disappearance of beautiful high schooler, Natalee Holloway. Authorities say Stephany actually saw something on Joran`s computer about his connection to Natalee`s disappearance on the five-year anniversary of the disappearance. And he, when she kind of smacked him on the shoulder, flew into a murderous change, and attacked her and strangling her.

What happened the night Stephany died and will Joran ever face justice for any of the things he`s done?

Straight out to Jean Casarez, correspondent for "In Session" on TruTV. Jean, you`ve been to Peru. You are all over the story. What happened? What`s the bottom line of what happened in court today?

JEAN CASAREZ, CORRESPONDENT, "IN SESSION" TRUTV: The bottom line is that Joran Van Der Sloot controlled that courtroom today. And when he didn`t want to answer the question from the prosecutor, which was -- "So you agree with the charges the prosecutor has brought against you?" that`s when he said, "You know, I think -- I think I need some time to think about this. Can we have a continuance until next week?"

And the judges had to say yes and I`ll tell you why. He can appeal to the Supreme Court of Peru, he can appeal then to an international court saying he did not receive due process. I think they felt they had to give him that today.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: You won`t believe this guy`s attitude in court. It was unbelievable too. Joran`s lawyers said he was planning to plead guilty to all charges today, hoping for leniency, but Joran, again, had other plans. Check it out.

VAN DER SLOOT (through translator): I want to abide by my confession. But I don`t agree with aggravating factors mentioned by the minister of justice.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (through translator): so you do not plead or you don`t deem yourself guilty according to what the prosecution has stated.

VAN DER SLOOT: Do I have time to think this further?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Maybe Joran changed his tune when he heard the prosecution say they wanted him to spend 30 years behind bars. Listen to this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I want to request that the defendant receive a 30 years of jail and he should pay $200,000 towards the relatives of the victim.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Investigative reporter Jon Leiberman, with Howard 100 News Sirius XM, what are the three scenarios? What are the three possibilities on the table?

JOHN LIEBERMAN, HOWARD 100 NEWS SIRIUS XM: So here`s the deal, Jane. The victim`s family wants him to spend life behind bars. That`s probably not going to happen. What prosecutors wanted him to essentially plead guilty to today, is what amounts to first degree murder. That would send him away for 30 years. That was what he said he was going to give a quote, "sincere confession". That`s what they call it in their system.

I wished she chose some sincere remorse to all these families but that`s what the prosecutors wanted was 30 years. What he and his attorneys are saying is they believe it`s what`s called simple homicide in the Peruvian system, which would put him behind bars for eight to 20 years.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: So I want to go to a Peruvian lawyer who knows how the law works in Peru because she`s a Peruvian lawyer, Giovanna Gismondi. I hope I got your name right there. What happens when he comes back now? In a few days and says, ok, I`ve had a chance to consider. Let`s say, he says yes, I killed her. How do the judges, these three female judges, by the way, determine whether he gets eight to 20 year, 30 years or life -- Giovanna?

GIOVANNA GISMONDI, PERUVIAN LAWYER: Yes, so what we have here is during the next session, which will happen on Wednesday, the lawyer of the defendant will present the facts and the law according to the position of the defendant. And at that point, the defendant will have the right to plead guilty but according, as we can see, to his own terms.

And at the point the -- the panel of three judges will have to decide whether they accept or reject the confession of -- of the defendant, of Joran. More likely I think the judges will reject such confession because there is plenty of evidence against Joran, pointing to the fact that this is not a simple homicide, that this was a brutal murder.

And so --

(CROSSTALK)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well Giovanna let me jump in here and cut to the chase. If he comes in and confesses or says, I admit that I killed her and then they say, well yes ok, I reject the confession, is there going to be a whole trial with witnesses? That`s kind of a yes or no.

GISMONDI: Exactly.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Oh.

GISMONDI: That`s right. Right. If he does not agree with the charges of the prosecutor, if he doesn`t plead guilty in accordance to the charges of the prosecutor, then what we are going to witness is a trial where Joran will have to prove that we are dealing with a simple homicide.

(CROSSTALK)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Ok and guess what? He`s going to have a hard time proving that. There`s video of him going into the room with a girl, there`s video of him leaving with the girl. There is -- his history of bad behavior, I don`t know if that`s going to get in court. But I`ve got to tell you his behavior in court today was an outrage. It should have been a crime in itself.

This is a man who -- his game plan supposedly was to give a sincere confession in an attempt to get leniency, but it sounds like the judge did not like his very serious "tude" from the very start. Listen to this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (through translator): Will the defendant please stand up? Stand up. You are in a court of law. You have to behave appropriately. You have to sit appropriately.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: We`ve frozen the video so you can get a good look. He`s yawning here, rudely. Then he appears to be sleeping at this point. And then take a look at this smirk. Ok, look at this smirk. Mike Brooks, what is he telegraphing with this bad attitude?

MIKE BROOKS, HLN LAW ENFORCEMENT ANALYST: He`s -- he`s a sociopath. He knows how to act and there was no other way that`s the bottom line. We`ve seen him act this way in Aruba, we`ve seen him act this way in the Netherlands and now in Peru. He`s got a serious attitude and he just doesn`t care.

Because he came in, he is -- look at him, Jane. He`s -- prison treating him good. He`s been working out. He looks good, but you know, he doesn`t care about anything.

He got away with murder in Aruba and he thinks he might be able to get a lighter sentence here in Peru, but I`ll tell you what; his attitude isn`t going to -- isn`t playing well with three female judges that are going to decide his fate.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I hope this attitude bites him. He is completely disrespectful, arrogant, dismissive. It`s -- it`s absolute contempt that he reeks of in this court. I hope they hit him with everything they`ve got, but what did he get? Justice delayed is justice denied once again.

All right, more. We`re just getting started in the Joran Van Der Sloot case. On the other side, we`re going to talk to somebody in Aruba who has followed this from the beginning.

Also, Casey Anthony`s shocking new YouTube video. What is going on? Does this defendant have a boyfriend? Could that boyfriend have helped her with the video?

But first, more on accused Joran Van Der Sloot. What is it going to take to finally put this guy away?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (through translator): Stand up. You are in a court of law. You have to behave appropriately. You have to sit appropriately.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE (through translator): So it is true and I`m going to ask you this. And you can say yes or no. Did you kill Stephany Tatiana --

VAN DER SLOOT: Yes.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You killed Stephany Tatiana Flores, right?

VAN DER SLOOT: Yes.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: That was Joran Van Der Sloot`s taped confession to killing Stephany Flores. He is now stalling for more time to enter his plea even though he confessed there on tape he didn`t like the fact that the prosecutor described the very cold-blooded killing because he kind of wanted to brush the whole thing off.

I think he thought he could just, you know, play the system again, slip through the cracks and come into court with the three female judges and say, oh, yes, I killed her, but I didn`t mean it. It really wasn`t intentional and get a couple of years and walk off.

But then the prosecutor described a horrific, bloody killing where Stephany Flores was hit in the face, bludgeoned, strangled and all of a sudden, he`s like, oh, oh, well, hold on, I want to consider -- I want to reconsider. I`ll be back next Wednesday.

I want to go out to Robyn Walensky. You have studied the Natalee Holloway case. And I -- there are so many eerie parallels between the Stephany Flores killing and the Natalee Holloway disappearance.

First of all, the fact that he killed Stephany Flores on exactly the five-year anniversary because they were in his hotel room playing Internet poker and something about the Natalee Holloway anniversary popped up with his name on it and she thought and tapped him and that`s when he exploded, Robyn.

ROBYN WALENSKY, ANCHOR "THE BLAZE": Jane, he is a compulsive liar and pathological liar. Back in `05 when this all went down, I was working for another network and I was down in Aruba, I was down Mountain Brook in Alabama. Natalee Holloway`s home town. I was there in `06 on the one-year anniversary and I was also there in Aruba in `07 when Joran Van Der Sloot was rearrested.

He has years and years of practice with lying. He lied to his mother, he lied to his father. He used to be out gambling, he was underage drinking. So he`s the king of all lies. He has a very larger than life presence, Jane when you see him in person. He`s the biggest guy in the room and he has an arrogant attitude to match it.

And I have to tell you I thought it was extremely eerie on that five- year anniversary when there he is unleashing on another innocent woman.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Yes, it`s unbelievable. And we`re going to get a psychologist`s analysis of this character because he`s scary.

Joran Van Der Sloot`s name first of course became known following the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba. He was the main suspect, but released due to lack of evidence. Even though everything pointed in his involvement including his words.

In an undercover recording obtained by ABC, Van Der Sloot admits to seeing Natalee dead. Listen to this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

VAN DER SLOOT: He looked and said, "Yes, she`s not alive anymore. Dead." He was bent over her and looked. This wasn`t good.

PATRICK: Of course, I understand but she could have been in a coma.

VAN DER SLOOT: That`s possible, too, huh. That`s very possible.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: And in that same series of recordings, he makes this chilling comment. Listen to this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

VAN DER SLOOT: Patrick, I had absolutely no bad feelings about it. I have not lost one night of sleep over it.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Wendy Walsh, psychologist, co-host "The Doctors." He says he hasn`t lost any sleep over what happened to Natalee. Not one moment.

WENDY WALSH, PSYCHOLOGIST: That`s not surprising to me at all. I mean, this is the mind of somebody with the kind of social pathology; somebody who doesn`t feel guilt, doesn`t feel shame, highly manipulative, compulsive liar. This is a guy who has -- who continues to beat the system, so of course, why wouldn`t he think he could do it again?

So he`s using everything now in Peru that he can do to stall and play the game as best he can.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I have to go to Julia Renfro, editor-in- chief of "Aruba Today". You are in Aruba. Are the people of Aruba watching this circus?

JULIA RENFRO, EDITOR IN CHIEF, "ARUBA TODAY" (via telephone): Of course. Everybody here in Aruba is very interested in what`s going to happen with Joran. Obviously, we`re all a little bit surprised that the judge gave a delay. I`m not really sure that that would have happened here in Aruba, but of course, the differences in the judicial system in Aruba, Peru and, of course, with the United States are all completely different.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, I -- I have to say that I find it interesting that the judges, the three judges who decided despite this arrogant attitude and the yawning and the shaking of the head and the smirking to give Joran more time to decide what he`s going to do.

I -- I have to point out that there were three female judges. Joran Van Der Sloot has a reputation of being a huge lady`s man. He certainly doesn`t float my boat, that`s for sure, but is there a chance that these three female judges were in some way, shape or form seduced by him, Wendy Walsh, the way so many women seem to go for bad guys and reject the goody goodies?

WALSH: You know, who knows? These female judges may actually feel some kind of vendetta against him because of the violence against him and that the evidence will eventually prove.

And by the way Jane I wanted to address that thing about it being on the five-year anniversary. I almost could have predicted it. This is textbook psychological, that the trigger was so big on anniversaries that the potential for violence would have been huge every year on that anniversary. We have sort of emotional triggers and we keep a clock in our head, we really do.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, I want to talk about the fact he has done so much to destroy so many families including the family of Natalee Holloway. Jon Leiberman, the fact is, he is also facing extortion charges in the United States. So even if he gets off in a couple of years, he`s going to be extradited because he tried to extort Natalee`s mom.

LEIBERMAN: Well, absolutely. But mark my words, Jane, he will go to prison. Right now, behind the scenes, what they`re trying to figure out in Joran`s camp is this. Do they risk going to trial and maybe getting life behind bars or do they come back and actually plead guilty and take the 30 years?

He will -- mark my words -- One of those two things will happen. And then yes, let`s say whenever he gets out of jail over there, he`s coming back here. The FBI says they`re going to pay to extradite him right back here to the U.S. to face those extortion charges.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: All right. We`ve got more.

Also, Casey Anthony.

Stay right there.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (through translator): Will the defendant please stand up? Stand up. You are in a court of law. You have to behave appropriately.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: He stalls and he gets three judges, three women, to agree to let him come back next Wednesday to decide what he wants to do given that he is accused of the brutal murder of this woman of Peru.

Van Der Sloot fled Lima, Peru after allegedly killing Stephany Flores. He literally snuck across the border to Chile in a taxi. He was then caught in a taxi near some place called Curacavil (ph). Police think he was headed to Argentina with the plan of ultimately sneaking back to Aruba. This is out of a bad movie.

Jean Casarez, correspondent for "In Session", I know you`ve been down there in Peru. You`ve been to his jail cell. What about these other guys who are facing trial along with him?

CASAREZ: Well, you see the guys that are sitting around him? Those are the taxi drivers. So those are the co-defendants. Now, they didn`t get into his case. They are to be witnesses also in Joran Van Der Sloot`s trial but it`s two brothers and someone else. They`re charged with obstruction of justice because they kept driving him across that Peruvian border into Chile knowing full well what he had done.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Yes. And let`s go back and recap and review this horrific night that Stephany was killed in 2010. We have the surveillance footage from that night, so we can keep track of pretty much every footstep. We see Joran and Stephany Flores in the casino playing poker. By the way, he also met Natalee in a casino in Aruba.

Later that night, we see Joran and Stephany go into his hotel room. And later, only Joran comes out with two coffee cups.

Mike Brooks, is that game, set, match? Do prosecutors need to prove anything more about what happened inside that room? Do they have the forensics to do it?

BROOKS: I think they have the forensics to do it. We also heard today some other witnesses from the hotel that worked at the hotel. Some people that worked there at the casino.

I really do. They`ve got a solid case against this guy and it could be, you know, he realizes this and that`s why he`s -- well, hold on a minute, maybe I got to think about this after the prosecution said that they`re going after him for 30 years. They`ve got a great case.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: All right. The phone lines lighting up. Donna, New Jersey, your question or thought, Donna?

DONNA, NEW JERSEY: Hi Jane, why would he plead guilty? What would he get out of it?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Ok. Well, I think it`s a good question. Robyn Walensky, what advantage does he have to actually confessing?

WALENSKY: Jane, can you just repeat the question please, if you could? I couldn`t hear the caller.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: What is the advantage of him confessing?

WALENSKY: Well, he won`t get life. I believe he`ll get 30 years. But you know what; if I was a betting woman he`s not going to confess to anything because he got away with murder in the case of Natalee Holloway and this is a guy that it`s all about everybody else. He`s very into the blame game.

And just to go back in time `05, originally, when he was called in as the prime suspect because he was the last person seen with Natalee at Carlos and Charlie`s with the Calpo brothers, he blamed the disappearance of Natalee Holloway on two security guards at a hotel. They had airtight alibis.

And it goes on and on from there. So he`s a compulsive liar; it`s always about somebody else. He got away with it once and he thinks he`s going to get away with it again. It wouldn`t surprise me if he came down with some medical excuse or something to get out of this, Jane.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: And he seems to, as Mike Brooks says, be thriving in prison. He has his own cell. Most of them, they`re packed six to a room. No, he gets his own cell.

Next, Casey Anthony. The videos.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: For the first time since Casey Anthony was acquitted on murder charges, we are hearing and seeing video comments from her.

JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL, HLN HOST: It`s almost like a video trailer for an upcoming movie.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Justice for Caylee. Justice for Caylee. Justice for Caylee.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: As to the charge of first degree murder verdict as to count one, we the jury find the defendant not guilty. Not guilty.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Absolute crime, Jane, this is. They call this justice? They say the American flag flies today. It does not. It does anything but fly today. It`s been trampled on.

CASEY ANTHONY, ACQUITTED OF DAUGHTER`S MURDER: I just wanted to let everyone know that I am sorry for what I did.

JEFF ASHTON, PROSECUTOR: Casey`s lies that the audience --

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It`s wrong. She got away with it and you know it.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Good evening, everyone; Jane Velez-Mitchell back with you from New York City. Is there a new lead from Casey`s computer? We still don`t know how her video diary got online. But now new photos have surfaced as well. Was Casey hacked or is this all a huge publicity stunt for the most hated woman in America?

The explosive controversy started yesterday when Casey`s first video diary hit the Internet big. Her narcissistic monologue goes on for more than four minutes. Listen to her on YouTube talking about the possibility of escaping probation as early as next month.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ANTHONY: I know it`s going to be a while since I leave. I`ll be here for many, many months more, even if only for six months, even if I get off probation early, I`ll still be here at least until February, the end of February.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Oh, really. Next month. So, was this a teaser trailer for the upcoming Casey Anthony YouTube show if there is one?

And then more head spinners last night. Unseen photos of Casey start appearing online, just popping up on the Internet. We can`t confirm these are authentic and we don`t know when they were taken but take a look at what started showing up on YouTube. It sure looks like the same Casey.

In one photo, she`s sporting a new blond do and even the background looks similar to the background in the video diary. Her clothes are different. Here she is in a blue tank top. Here she is in a light blue.

It`s obviously from a different day, but does this hint that there are more episodes of the Casey Anthony video diaries coming? How did the photos and the video get out? The first man who posted the video -- purportedly anyway, he claims he is -- publicly spoke to Nancy Grace.

Listen to how he claims he found this video.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JON BRILEY, ALLEGEDLY POSTED VIDEO ONLINE: I went looking for the video and after about 45 minutes, I found a pay site that wanted I think $2. I didn`t give it, tried another one, I think it was $3 or $5. I would not give money to that either. I kept looking and looking and looking. I finally found a link to a free.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I don`t know. How come none of us have been able to found those four paid sites? And that man Jon Briley has also claimed Lee Anthony, Casey`s brother, has been named by somebody as the one who leaked the video. We tried to reach Lee for comment but we`re not successful. Who knows what the hell`s going on?

We go straight out to Dylan Howard, senior editor for RadarOnline. Dylan, Radar broke the story of these new photos. What the heck`s going on here? Who`s released this stuff and why?

DYLAN HOWARD, SENIOR EDITOR, RADARONLINE: Well, Jane, that is the million-dollar question. Certainly for Casey Anthony, she hopes, it would deliver her a million dollars perhaps. What we don`t know is the person that leaked these and what their motivation was and indeed whether Casey Anthony was behind this.

But at this hour, I can tell you more photos are trickling onto cyber space, onto the Internet at this hour. There is a new photo that has emerged on Cayleedaily.com, a Web site that has chronicled the stages of Casey Anthony and, of course, her deceased daughter.

This photo though does not look like a staged photo. And we can`t show it to you because on this Web site, it says that this photo cannot be redistributed or re-posted, but it does say that the photo was taken in Ohio on New Year`s Eve and it shows Casey Anthony seemingly having a bite to eat at what this Web site says called an Olive Garden restaurant and sitting next to her is what this Web site says is her new boyfriend.

Now, this is different though, Jane --

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, that doesn`t shock me. The new boyfriend part doesn`t shock me at all, you know.

HOWARD: This is different in the sense that she`s not posing for the photos; whereas all the other photos that have been released to the (INAUDIBLE) seemingly show that she`s cooperating with the fact that these photographs or indeed the video as we saw with the video diary is being taken.

Now another thing that we`ve been able to establish at RadarOnline is that a purported friend of Casey Anthony`s has spoken out and said that she`s living a life not in seclusion or in hiding. Indeed, this source, a supposed friend of Casey, said that she`s going to church, she has this new boyfriend and that she`s going out partying, so at least on the surface, some things haven`t changed.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Oh boy. Now, remember, Casey`s people, whoever they are -- well, we know one of them is her attorney, Cheney Mason, claim these videos were never supposed to be released, that they`re part of a counseling session. Listen to attorney, Cheney Mason this morning on the "Today" show.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

CHENEY MASON, ATTORNEY FOR CASEY ANTHONY (via telephone): If we find out who did it and how they did it, then they are going to be, I hope, answering to state and federal law enforcement agencies.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Jayne Weintraub, criminal defense attorney who`s been very close to Casey Anthony`s defense team, do you think Cheney Mason is going to try to find out if indeed it wasn`t leaked by his client because she could have said to him, oh, I didn`t leak it and she could be lying to him. And he`s just repeating what she says much as she`s told a whole bunch of stories to her attorneys during the trial that were conflicting.

If it is somebody else who`s doing it, will Cheney Mason go after that person legally?

JAYNE WEINTRAUB, CRIMINAL DEFENSE ATTORNEY: I think he might try. I don`t think he would be successful. I think the bottom line Jane is the reminder here is whenever you post something on a computer, on any Web site, it`s just public domain these days. Anybody and everybody knows how to hack into computers, go for certain Web sites and that`s what happens here obviously.

She is recording something. It`s not that somebody went into her private computer, hard drive. It was posted on the Internet in some way. Whether it was transmitted to a therapist or transmitted to a friend, it was being transmitted. And as I tell my kids even in college, be careful what you transmit. It could always come back at you.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: That`s why when I`m doing FaceTime with a friend of mine, I will wear a business suit. Take a listen to this fascinating bit from Casey`s video diary on YouTube where she seems to be promising that this is just an appetizer for things to come.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ANTHONY: It`s again, the first of many and I`m looking forward to this. (INAUDIBLE) It`s the end of the first, just the beginning.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Now, remember her deposition with Zenaida Gonzalez? It happened just a few days before she makes this YouTube video. Here is Zanny the Nanny. When Casey was deposed, she did it on a web cam video and she pleaded the Fifth did it more than 60 times and she wore a crazy disguise with a hat and a wig and sunglasses.

We`re going to go straight out now to John Morgan. We`re delighted to have him. He is the attorney for Zenaida Gonzalez. They argue that that videotape deposition should not be released because it would put her in danger given this new YouTube video that popped up, what are you doing about it?

JOHN MORGAN, ATTORNEY FOR ZENAIDA GONZALEZ: We`re going to remove our motion to have her videotape deposition filed with the court. The argument was --

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Does that mean released? Does that mean released to the public?

MORGAN: Released to the public like every other person in Florida. They said they couldn`t do it because they feared for her safety and as I said in court that day to the judge, you will see her speak when it`s for profit. And now, it`s for profit.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, what if Cheney Mason gets up there and argues this was hacked. How are you going to prove that she did it herself if you believe that?

MORGAN: Can you imagine how Cheney Mason reacted all of a sudden my computer was hacked and the video deposition was all of a sudden all over the Internet? Do you think he would believe that that it was hacked? Do you think anybody believed Anthony Weiner when he said he was hacked?

We know what this woman is and what she`s trying to do is to weinerize (ph) the judicial system by going, "I was hacked". The problem is with her -- she is a narcissist. She is -- we know what she is and she can`t help herself. And she`s got lawyers.

(CROSSTALK)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Jon Leiberman --

JON LEIBERMAN, INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER: Well, just as he said -- sorry.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Go ahead, Jon.

LEIBERMAN: There are a couple of things we know about her. We know she`s a liar, we know she`s a manipulator as well. If she didn`t release the video, even if she didn`t take it a step further, she will use this to her advantage. She didn`t talk about anything that people really want to hear about, like what happened to her daughter and she knows that. She knows now even if she didn`t release this, she`ll be able to capitalize on it and make money off of it.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, John Morgan, are you going to do an investigation to see who actually released this to try to prove your belief that she released it? Do you think that the authorities are going to do that?

MORGAN: I don`t think that authorities are going to do it. We`re going to renew our motion to the judge. We`re going to say, Judge look, the fact that she`s this relaxed, that she`s posted it, that she`s doing this why does she continue to be treated differently?

You said it right, Jane. This is a trailer. In the news business, it`s called a teaser. You know, more at 11:00. And that`s what this is all about. And look, her lawyers don`t call the shots. She does.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: So, do you believe that she lied to her attorneys and simply said, oh, I don`t know how this got out there and then they just accepted that at face value, despite possible evidence to the contrary?

MORGAN: I think her lawyers are enjoying the ride that they`re getting. Cheney`s on the "Today" show. He`s a good friend of mine, but at some point, my message would be to Cheney, look, you`ve done your job. At this point in time, my good friend, you`re hurting yourself.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Got to leave it right there. Thank you John Morgan. Thank you fantastic panel.

Next, a beautiful woman goes missing the day after Christmas. Her car abandoned with the engine running. Her desperate parents join me next. Let`s help find this beautiful young woman. They need everybody`s help.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Please, please, anyone, if you found anything, come forward now.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: December 26th was the last time anyone saw her. Investigators found her car, which had been missing since her disappearance. Her family said she had an argument with a man.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: He`s extremely important to the investigation.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Investigators revealed they are now working with the FBI.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: If Stacey was here, she would just fill this room up.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We`ve checked hospitals. We`ve checked the jails. The police say they have done the same thing. This one, my girl.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes. Yes.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We need our daughter home. We need our daughter home.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: What heartbreak around the holidays. A beautiful 36- year-old Atlanta woman mysteriously disappears -- vanishes into thin air. Tonight, we want to help find her and bring her back to her devastated, frantic parents who are with us tonight.

Stacey English was last seen the day after Christmas. Stacey stepdad said she had an argument with a friend at about 10:00 that night and kicked him out of her home. That was the last time anybody saw her. Stacey`s car was found abandoned and still running, believe it or not, about 12 miles away from her house. Today, cops and rescue canines continue to search that area.

Now, this is eerie. Her keys, her phone, her iPad were all left inside her condo and the fireplace was still on.

My very special guests tonight are the missing woman`s parents, Kevin and Cindy Jamison. Thank you both for being here. Our heart goes out to you. I know you are going through a hellish time right now. You`re doing everything you can to find your daughter, which we also want to do.

Kevin, I want to start with you.

KEVIN JAMISON, STEPFATHER OF STACEY ENGLISH: Yes.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: What was the last time you saw your daughter, was anything out of the ordinary in her life?

K. JAMISON: The last time that I spoke with her, she called Sunday night, on Christmas night. My daughter`s just vibrant. She`s a sports fan and she called the home. My wife answered. I was downstairs studying and she was just excited about the game winning shot. She said, did you see the shot? Yes. The last thing that I hear ringing over and over in my head was her so excited about that shot.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: She disappeared the next day. The day after Christmas. You say you spoke to her Christmas and she disappeared the next day, correct?

K. JAMISON: That is correct.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Let me ask you, Cindy, what are police telling you? We know her car was found, the engine still running. That`s very ominous. What do you know? What are cops telling you?

CINDY JAMISON, MOTHER OF STACEY ENGLISH: Well, her car was found on the 27th of December and we reported her missing on December 31st because I had made several calls to her during the week, but I was respectful of the fact that she did have company visiting and I knew that she wanted to spend time with them. But I was just awaiting her, waiting for her to return my phone calls. But I got frantic.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, let me jump in here. There`s a male friend, according to police that was a friend of Stacey`s who was purportedly visiting her from the holidays from St. Louis. On December 26th, the day after Christmas at around 10:00 at night, Stacey and this man allegedly get into an argument and she reportedly kicks him out of her place.

Listen to this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MAJOR KEITH MEADOWS, ATLANTA POLICE DEPT: He is extremely important to the investigation because, as far as we know, he was the last person that actually had contact with her.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Now, this man is back in St. Louis, his hometown. Cops and the FBI say they have been speaking with him. He`s been cooperative. They have not named him a suspect or a person of interest, but Cindy, what do you know about your daughter`s relationship with this man?

C. JAMISON: I don`t know very much about him. I know that we have talked with him on a couple of occasions and I even talked to him a couple of days ago because we had not found any more information. So we just happened to pick up the phone to call him and ask him, "Hey, have you heard anything from Stacey? Have you reached out to try and call her?" And his answer to both of those questions was no.

But right now, he hasn`t given us -- he didn`t give us any additional information that could help us, but he was cooperative. He was talking with us and to -- his statement to us was that she asked him to leave and he did leave.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, what do they do, John Leiberman, investigative reporter, with the Volvo that they impounded, quickly?

LEIBERMAN: Well, and this is the problem. Every second counts in these investigations and it took several days to actually put two and two together. It appears that when the agency towed the car, they didn`t enter it into the system so that law enforcement could never put two and two together, that this was this woman`s missing car for several days. Definitely hampered the investigation

VELEZ-MITCHELL: But the fact is, the engine was running. What does that say?

LEIBERMAN: It`s not a good sign. Look, grown women don`t just vanish. One of two things happens, they run away or they meet with foul play. It doesn`t appear that this woman by any account ran away. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I know cops are working the case hard.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Kevin and Cindy, we want to stay on top of this. We`re going to keep your daughter safe out there. We want any, any update. Please tell us. We`ll do it again.

K. JAMISON: We thank you.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: We need to be asking, what are these people trying to hide? Why are they so desperate to keep cameras out of the factory farms?

I`ll tell you why. Because they don`t want the American people to see what`s really going on. It is America`s secret shame.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Uproar tonight over what animal advocates call the Ad Gag Bill. Lawmakers again trying to make it a crime to photograph or videotape farms in America. Why? Animal advocates ask, what is the factory farming industry trying to hide about the way animals are treated on farms? We called the sponsor of this bill in Florida and did not hear back by deadline.

If this new bill passes it would criminalize filming or photographing of farms without written consent. Is this to stop the wave of undercover investigations into how billions of animals are treated on America`s farms? I want you to look at the most recent undercover video from animal protection group Mercy for Animals.

This video which you`re about to see -- and we have to warn you, some severe stuff on this -- shows alleged animal abuse at a turkey farm operated by Butterball. This video obtained by a Mercy for Animals member who worked undercover for weeks. The group claims it uncovered severe abuse of turkeys. Butterball says they`re doing an investigation, quote, "Butterball has a zero tolerance policy for any mistreatment of our birds. Employees found in violation of Butterball`s animal welfare policies will be subject to immediate termination.

Straight out to Paul Shapiro, senior director of Farm Animal Protection for the Humane Society of the United States; Paul, what do you think is behind this proposed legislation to make it a crime to take a video or still photo of a farm, and this latest bill being proposed in Florida?

PAUL SHAPIRO, HUMANE SOCIETY OF THE UNITED STATES: Jane, these investigations are happening throughout the country at factory farms documenting the fact that millions of animals who we raise and kill for food in our country each year are treated in any ways that are simply horrific. And the meat industry`s response to these undercover whistle- blowing exposes has not been to try to prevent the abuse that the animals are enduring but rather to try to prevent the American people simply from finding out about that abuse in the first play by trying to make it a crime simply to take a photo or a video of what happens to animals within the agri-business industry.

You have to ask yourself, just what is the meat industry trying to hide?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Here`s my big issue on here. The thought of this is scary. I feel it`s un-American to say you can`t take a picture of a farm without written permission. Is it also unconstitutional? That`s the question, Paul Shapiro.

SHAPIRO: There are certainly many people who are suggesting that that`s a real problem. There may be real constitutional issues here. But we have to ask this broader societal question of what is it that the meat industry is trying to hide? And we --

(CROSSTALK)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: And by the way, let me say this, we`re looking at various undercover investigations from various organizations done throughout the country at various farms. So this is what you call generic video that shows undercover investigations. Continue on.

SHAPIRO: Sure, you have to ask yourself what is the meat industry trying to hide? And we know the answer to that. This is an industry that routinely confines millions of animals inside of cages that are so cramped the animals can barely move an inch their entire lives.

When it comes to animal cruelty in the meat industry, we`re not just talking about a couple of rotten apples in an industry. We`re talking about standard industry practices that are so inhumane they are simply rotten.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: And I want to say that as we look at this video, I invite anybody from the agriculture, representatives from the -- representatives who are proposing these bills, come on our show. We want to get your side.

More in a moment.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Paul Shapiro of the Humane Society for the United States, there is apparently a move in several states to try to criminalize taking photographs of farms. Is this sort of a cultural war now between big AG and animal advocates?

SHAPIRO: Yes, absolutely. We`ve seen so far in the states as varied as Iowa, Minnesota, New York, Florida and Indiana, attempts to make it a crime simply to photograph what happens to animals on these factory farms. You`re seeing a real clash between those who want to protect animals from the cruelty that is so endemic throughout the meat industry and those who not only don`t want to prevent this cruelty but who are actively seeking to keep the public in the dark, because they know that the more Americans learn about the routine ways in which farm animals are abused in America, the greater the outrage will be.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Americans are decent people. When they find out something is wrong, they take action to change it. I say put a spotlight. There should be nothing to hide.

"NANCY GRACE" up next.
