TV`s most provocative entertainment news show breaks news right now.

(MUSIC)

Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with big news breaking tonight - saving Demi Moore. Tonight, Demi Moore is tackling her issues head on.

She checked into a treatment facility after reportedly collapsing and being rushed to the hospital. But tonight, a whirlwind of wild reports is fueling the firestorm around her. I`m talking about reports of out-of- control behavior, hard-partying, the works.

Now, her reps tell us that she`s just dealing with exhaustion. But tonight, all indications are that there`s a lot more to this story and we are barely scratching the surface.

And strangely missing in all this drama, Demi`s ex, Ashton Kutcher, who`s out of the country right now for work. And that`s raising questions as to what his role should be in helping Demi get back on track.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) Since Demi Moore was rushed to the hospital after a mysterious health emergency at her home Monday night, only one thing is clear today. There are all kinds of reports, unconfirmed reports, about what`s ailing the movie star.

JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL, HOST, "ISSUES WITH JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL": Different reports claim Demi had a seizure.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Prescription drug use problem.

DR. DREW PINSKY, HOST, "DR. DREW": "Radar Online" reports Demi is actually being treated for an eating disorder.

CARLOS GREER, REPORTER, "PEOPLE": The details are still very scant. There are tons of reports out there.

HAMMER: The most jaw-dropping of these unconfirmed reports comes from TMZ. It says Moore was hospitalized after she`d inhaled a dangerous amount of nitrous oxide, or what`s commonly called "whip-its." Demi`s people aren`t commenting on that or any of the other reports about Demi.

GREER: Her publicist released a statement that she was suffering from exhaustion.

HAMMER: Demi Moore`s rep tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT they won`t be saying anything more beyond their original comment. But one thing is clear - no one is treating the exhaustion claim as the whole story.

GREER: That is a common excuse when things do happen. Celebrities usually do cite exhaustion.

HAMMER: And today, "People.com" has a new jaw-dropping report about the struggles Demi Moore may have been dealing with before this week`s health scare, troubles that may have led to her break-up with Ashton Kutcher.

GREER: Sources tell "People" that one of the reasons the marriage ended was because Demi was using prescription drugs.

HAMMER: "People`s" Carlos Greer tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that on top of Ashton`s reported cheating that got splashed all over the tabloids last fall, Demi`s own issues over the past year also hastened the end of their marriage.

GREER: There was a point in their marriage where Ashton was extremely concerned about her prescription drug use and he really wanted her to get help and she wouldn`t.

HAMMER: Plus, "People" reports another problem, that Demi`s hard partying ways were starting to grate on Ashton. One incident was in August of 2010 when the two attended a performance by rapper Snoop Dogg in Vegas.

GREER: She got on stage and was dirty dancing and Ashton was extremely embarrassed.

HAMMER: And "People`s" Carlos Greer tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Demi`s break-up from Ashton hasn`t helped matters.

GREER: Friends tell "People" that Demi - she hasn`t been taking care of herself for a very long time. She hasn`t been sleeping. She hasn`t been eating. And a friend told us that she`s - pointblank, she`s a mess.

HAMMER: So far, Kutcher has not set one word about Demi`s latest crisis.

GREER: He`s been in Brazil shooting a campaign for a British brand. And he`s been partying. He`s been out late with girls and just pretty much seeming to be having a great time in Brazil.

HAMMER: No matter what specific incident led to Demi`s hospitalization this week, hopefully, it will be a first step in her getting the help that so many reports suggest she needs.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

And as new details about Demi`s downward spiral are revealed, Demi`s famous friends are now rallying around her. Some are even tweeting their support.

Let me read a few to you. Here`s Eva Longoria and what she tweeted, "Sending my love and support to one of the most beautiful people I know." "Mrs. Kutcher" is still her handle on Twitter.

The great Marlee Matlin writing this, "Let`s give Demi Moore some space and time. Send her good thoughts."

And this is from Russell Simmons, "Thoughts and prayers to Demi Moore."

So with friends and fans right by her side, what more will it take to rescue Demi from this crisis?

With me in New York, Dr. Wendy Walsh, co-host of "The Doctors" and TV host Megan Meany.

So Demi is a mother of three. She`s in the throes of what appears to be a painful divorce. She`s a busy working actress and she`s a director.

Wendy, is it out of the question to believe, to perhaps think, yes, maybe she is simply exhausted?

DR. WENDY WALSH, CO-HOST, "THE DOCTORS": Somewhat out of the question. I think that this is a problem that probably didn`t start here and it didn`t start with Ashton.

This is probably - she`s probably been self-medicating herself with fame and with young men and with excitement. And when it all suddenly goes away, what you`re left with is your emotional pain. Think she`s in a lot of emotional pain and she`s trying to find ways to help herself, not really functional ways.

HAMMER: Yes. And obviously, that -

WALSH: It`s heartbreaking.

HAMMER: All of that that you said. I`m exhausted just hearing all that she`s going through.

WALSH: Yes.

HAMMER: So certainly exhaustion is a part of that. And as we`ve been talking about her ex, Ashton Kutcher, in Brazil - he`s there for work. He was seen partying. He actually tweeted some pictures of himself apparently having a really good time.

But that was done before Demi was rushed to the hospital. There are some people out there saying he`s being insensitive, that perhaps he needs to put out a statement of some kind.

I`ve got to tell you, Megan, I think it`s unfair for people to throw him under the bus. What is he supposed to say?

MEGAN MEANY, TV HOST: I`m with you. I mean, I think Ashton is allowed to live his life. And as you said, a lot of this was happening before all this news broke about Demi.

He is, on the other hand, the Twitter king. I mean, he`s gone on record with just about everything including when they did break up. So you know, I think a tweet or two wishing her well or saying, you know, is enough.

HAMMER: Yes, I was thinking about that -

MEANY: But a little something -

HAMMER: But doesn`t it sound almost odd?

WALSH: Yes.

MEANY: That we were expecting a tweet?

HAMMER: No, a tweet to say, "I`m wishing her well," you know -

MEANY: Well, he doesn`t have to word it that way.

WALSH: Or even a tweet to her -

MEANY: But to acknowledge that this is happening and this is still, you know, family in his heart.

WALSH: He`s silent because he doesn`t know how to react. The truth is, he`s trying to break up with her and wondering how much he should come back in and give care, but that`s starting the relationship again.

HAMMER: And the question is, you know, first of all - first of all, we don`t know that he`s not communicating with her behind the scenes -

WALSH: Exactly.

HAMMER: And not taking to Twitter to say, "Hey, just so you all know," even though we expect him - "Just so you all know, I`m actually in communication with Demi," you know, butt out.

But let me get to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint on this very subject, because I`m curious to get both of your takes on this. Should Ashton come home to Demi to offer support?

Now, let me start with you, Wendy, just pointing out, he`s trying to break up with her. They`re separating. They`re going their own ways, but they were very important in each other`s lives for so long.

MEANY: I mean, does he have to get on a plane and come home? I would if this was my ex. I think he`s wrapped up with work.

Yes, I think he should probably come home and be there behind the scenes, and offer some support, if, you know, that`s the relationship they still have, that, you know, they speak to one another.

So yes, come home. But, you know, if he`s working I think that`s OK, if he`s got stuff to do there. But eventually, he`s got to get back and be in touch with those girls. That`s the most important thing. I mean, she is a mother and that`s kind of the saddest thing to me about all this.

I think Demi had it right when she was in Idaho. The potato farm - that was all good, like, the Hollywood thing is not working out.

HAMMER: What do you think? Really, because obviously, there`s this outcry going on. You know, I`m sure Ashton`s not insulated from all of it. It must be difficult for him.

WALSH: Right.

HAMMER: Would you want him - I mean, they`re going through a break-up. Would you want him there by her side?

WALSH: We don`t know the history of how she`s maintained and reeled him back in the past. We don`t know what she does to try to bring the attachment back.

Could a part of him be thinking, "Oh, she`s being a drama queen again, here we go again"? We don`t know. I would say to make sure that she has all the professional support that she needs here, to make sure the kids are taken care of, and then come back when he`s supposed to be back.

HAMMER: And now that we`ve had new revelations about all this alleged partying, how worried should we be right now, Wendy?

WALSH: I`m really worried. I think this is a big crisis, and a really big crisis for her. My heart goes out to her.

HAMMER: Yes. Yes. I feel the same way.

MEANY: It started off so badly for her, right? She had two alcoholic parents, I think. And we have to remember, all the way back, this woman did not have, you know, a strong foundation. She`s reminding me a lot of her "St. Elmo`s Fire" character, which was a very loving -

HAMMER: And that was a time when she was having a difficult time in her life as we talked about.

MEANY: Right. It would be nice to see a little more of that "G.I. Jane" come back, right?

HAMMER: We certainly feel that way. We are rooting for her. Megan, Wendy, thank you very much, both of you.

From saving Demi to perhaps saving Heidi and Seal? Is there actually hope that Heidi and Seal might, in fact, stay together, despite the news of their shocking split?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SEAL: Whether we get back together or not, it may happen. I can`t speak for her.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Would you like to?

SEAL: Well, I`d like it to.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dares to ask, should Heidi and Seal reunite?

Also, wait until you hear Brad`s marriage shocker of a very different kind. Are Hollywood`s most marriage-resistant couple about to tie the knot? Tonight, has Brad finally popped the question?

Plus, sex surrogate -

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HUNT: Although the aim is for us to have sex, I`m not a prostitute. You don`t have to pay me upfront.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Helen Hunt`s controversial new movie about a real-life sex surrogate. It`s a SHOWBIZ special report tonight you`ve got to see. Is it really OK to be a sex surrogate?

TEXT: Rihanna, Sheryl Crow and Seal to perform at Brad Pitt`s New Orleans charity event. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT first look: Dr. Oz shows Rosie O`Donnell a brain on her talk show.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DR. MEHMET OZ, HOST, "THE DR. OZ SHOW": That is the brain.

ROSIE O`DONNELL, HOST, "ROSIE": This is your brain on drugs. Remember that commercial?

MEHMET: OK. Before anything -

O`DONNELL: OK. What`s that thin coating? What`s that coating on top?

MEHMET: This thing (UNINTELLIGIBLE). It is the meninges.

O`DONNELL: And what does that do?

MEHMET: Have you ever heard of meningitis?

O`DONNELL: I certainly have.

MEHMET: This is the very thin covering around the brain that allows the brain to float around inside your skull. When you take this off, off like that - I`ll remove the meninges, and this is the brain.

O`DONNELL: You know, it`s actually quite beautiful in a weird way.

(SINGING)

PAULA ABDUL, FORMER "AMERICAN IDOL" JUDGE: Wow.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes. Wow is right. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT brings you this rare look at Kellie Pickler when she was just 19 years old, just wowing the judges on "American Idol." That`s back in 2006 when Kellie auditioned for the show.

It was a shocker when Pickler was later voted off and came in sixth that season. So SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has got to ask, does an "Idol" contestant really have to win the whole shebang to be successful?

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer. And tonight, winner after "Idol."

And really, few have done it bigger and better than the amazingly talented Kellie Pickler who has become one of the most successful "Idol" contestants ever.

This is Kellie`s fantastic new album. It`s called "100 Proof." And she is 100 percent proof that you don`t have to win it all to be a big winner.

There she is. Kellie Pickler with us tonight from Hollywood for a SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview. First of all, great to see you, Kellie. And congrats on this great new album.

KELLIE PICKLER, FORMER "AMERICAN IDOL" CONTESTANT: Hey, A.J. How are you?

HAMMER: I`m terrific. I`m thrilled that you`re here. And I want to start off by throwing a couple of names out at you. I think you know these names.

Let`s see - Jennifer Hudson, Chris Daughtry, Clay Aiken, Adam Lambert, and Kellie Pickler. I think you know that name.

All you guys competed on "American Idol." None of you won the competition, but you have all been very, very successful, which hasn`t always been the case for the actual winners of the show.

So Kellie, it would seem to me it really doesn`t matter if you win it all on "Idol. Why do you think that is?

PICKLER: Well, first of all, I think everyone`s definition of success is different. And I think as long as you`re doing what you love, you`re successful regardless of how many records you sell or don`t sell.

I think it`s really about finding yourself and knowing who you are and knowing where you want to be and never stopping. You know, you just got to set your goals and go for them.

HAMMER: And I totally agree with you. I think that`s a great perspective to have on what`s really important in terms of having success.

But you know, Kellie, when you were competing on that show before you got voted off, you really wanted to win that thing bad, didn`t you?

PICKLER: I think we all do. I think everyone that gets in line for "American Idol," our number one goal is to win, you know. So I`m so blessed though.

I`m so blessed that Paula, Randy and Simon gave me a chance and picked Pickler and that I made it as far as I did. So I cannot complain, so I`ve been blessed.

HAMMER: Yes, I get the sense that you`re really, really humble about all the success that you`ve had. And now, here we are - so it`s about five years later.

And you really got to know Chris Daughtry on your season. He was on "Idol`s" fifth season along with you. He has said flat out that he was actually glad in the end that he didn`t win "American Idol."

So, tell me, having the success you now have, knowing what you now know, are you actually kind of happy you didn`t win the show after all?

PICKLER: I`m happy that I am exactly in the place that I`m at today, regardless, win or lose. I think that - you know, like I said earlier, I`ve been blessed.

And you know, Chris has had so much success and he`s doing great right now. And of course, I`m a big Daughtry fan. I love Chris. He was like a brother to me when I was on the show.

And I think one great thing we all take from "American Idol," you know, not just being able to be a part of the show and being able to sing and live out our dream, is the beautiful friendships and relationships that you build on the show.

It is like a big family. We all start in this thing together. We live together. And you know, we spend so much time together rehearsing, day after day.

HAMMER: Yes.

PICKLER: And it`s really, really great, too, that we`re able to maintain those friendships after "Idol."

HAMMER: Well, when you think about it, I mean, what an incredible bond you all have to have formed at such an intense time when you`re competing against each other. But you`re really competing with each other at the same time. That`s always comes through.

PICKLER: Yes.

HAMMER: Earlier today, I tweeted you were coming on the show. A lot of people were really excited about that, including the one and only, the great Kristin Chenoweth. She tweeted me back.

PICKLER: Love her.

HAMMER: Let me read what she said. She said, "I just love Kellie Pickler. She can sing." So right now, Kellie, I`m giving you the opportunity. You don`t even have to do it on Twitter. What would you like to say back to Kristin Chenoweth?

PICKLER: Well, first of all, she knows that I`m a huge fan. And she actually came to my show earlier last year, when - during CRS week that we have in Nashville where country radio comes together and we just celebrate country music and celebrate the country music fans.

And I was so excited and honored that she came to check out my show. And she`s so sweet, so beautiful, and she can sing, so she`s the whole package.

HAMMER: Yes. Well, she is. And look, you are, too, let`s face it. Kellie, it`s great to see you. Congratulations again on your new album, "100 Proof."

PICKLER: Thank you, honey. Good to see you.

HAMMER: All right. Make sure you go and pick up Kellie`s new album. Kellie is also working with Fresh Step for Cat Appreciation Month. So be sure to go to Fresh Step`s Facebook page to get all the details there. It`s a great thing as well.

And now, we move on to "Real Housewives" hell. Tonight, there are new shocking abuse revelations from "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star, Taylor Armstrong. Were there warning signs from start about her late husband`s alleged abuse?

Plus, I love this - Pat Sajak`s drinking game?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Have you ever done "Wheel of Fortune" a little bit drunk?

PAT SAJAK, HOST, "WHEEL OF FORTUNE": Yes.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Pat Sajak coming clean about hosting the "Wheel of Fortune" after tossing back a few margaritas. Then, I`d like to buy a D as in drunk. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

It is time for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: NBC developing "The Office" spin-off centered on Rainn Wilson. Kardashian sisters launch new denim like at Sears.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Can you tell us what you sought treatment for?

KIM RICHARDS, REALITY TV STAR, "THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS": Yes. I`m an alcoholic. I`m an alcoholic.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: That is the brand-new bombshell revelation from "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star, Kim Richards. All the housewives insisted that Kim had a drinking problem. And now, she is finally admitting it.

And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has confirmed Kim is already out of rehab. Kim is spilling the secrets about her tough addiction battle next month in a special one-on-one interview with Bravo`s Andy Cohen.

And there`s more big news breaking tonight about "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." Taylor Armstrong is revealing shocking new details about her horrific alleged abuse at the hands of her late husband, Russell.

Taylor`s confessions are from her new memoir called "Hiding from Reality." That will come out next month. I can tell you these revelations are chilling. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner is in Hollywood tonight. Nischelle, just what is Taylor confessing?

NISCHELLE TURNER: Well, A.J., it turns out that six years before Russell took his own life and years before he allegedly began abusing Taylor, he was already spying on her. Now, Taylor claims he even had access to every single one of her E-mails.

This is what she writes. She says, quote, "I went into my E-mail settings and found that he had set it up so all my E-mails were forwarded to him the moment I received them."

A.J., it looks like Russell`s jealousy may have actually been apparent right from the start.

HAMMER: Wow. And is it true that Taylor also claims that Russell was taping her conversations, like her phone conversations? What was that about?

TURNER: Well, she says, A.J., that she found a tape recorder under her desk in her office at home right after she married Russell. And here`s what she says about this.

She says, quote, "For nearly six years, I always assumed I was being recorded in the car and at home. I was always careful to make sure the content of my conversations was very clear."

And A.J., you know, if that`s true, I mean, gosh, what a way to live, worried about every single word that you say.

HAMMER: Yes. I mean, that`s amazing to me. And obviously, it`s just terrible, hard to believe it took so long for all this to come out. I would personally think this kind of abuse would have been obvious to the other housewives sooner or at least the producers of Bravo.

But I guess not. And if the claims are true, just amazing that everything was kept secret for so long.

TURNER: Yes. Yes.

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner - thanks so much, Nischelle.

Now, it`s time for the SHOWBIZ lineup - this is what`s coming up at the bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

SEAL: Whether we get back together or not, it may happen. I can`t speak for her.

PIERS MORGAN, HOST, "PIERS MORGAN TONIGHT": Would you like to?

SEAL: Would I like it to?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: You heard it. Seal may want Heidi back just days after announcing their shocking split. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dares to ask, should Heidi and Seal reunite?

Plus, the day has finally come or has it? Are Brangelina, Hollywood`s most famous marriage-shy couple, actually going to get married? Tonight, wait until you hear Brad`s brand-new marriage revelation. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

MORGAN: Would you like to?

SEAL: WOULD I like it to?

HAMMER: He`s still wearing his ring. She`s still wearing hers. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dares to ask, should Heidi and Seal get back together?

It is time to play "Wheel of Drinking." Yes, the squeaky clean host of "Wheel of Fortune" says he`s hosted the show drunk. You`ve got to hear Pat Sajak`s liquid confession.

And Helen Hunt`s controversial new role as a sex surrogate.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HUNT: Although the aim is for us to have sex, I`m not a prostitute. You don`t have to pay me upfront.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Tonight, the brand-new outrage over this film that just debuted at the Sundance Film Festival. Is there anything wrong with being a sex surrogate?

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. We`ve got big news breaking tonight. We have hope for Heidi and Seal.

Of course, they shocked the world this week with their sudden announcement that they`re separating after seven years of marriage.

And then today, another shocker - an intimate new interview with CNN`s Piers Morgan that airs on Friday. And in this thing, Seal seems to be doing a very public serenade to Heidi Klum, let`s stay together.

Seal`s raw and honest interview nearly borders on TMI, but does his heartfelt public admission make you root for a reunion or should Seal perhaps just zip it?

With me now in New York, Wendy Walsh, is a co-host on "The Doctors," and TV host, Megan Meany. Great to have you both here.

So there are these pictures today of Heidi wearing her wedding ring and Seal also wearing his wedding ring during his interview with Piers Morgan. And Seal passionately explained why he still has it on.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SEAL: My love for her has not waned one iota. I do - I love her with all my heart. How can you not love somebody -

MORGAN: This is making me even sadder.

SEAL: Well, how can you not love somebody that you have spent eight years with? You don`t from one day to the next say, "Oh, I hate you," and take off your wedding ring.

I tell you what, this is what this means to me and what it stands for. It stands for respect. It stands for loyalty. It stands for incredible memories.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes, see, I`m seeing this and I`m actually getting a little confused and it makes me feel kind of sad. Wendy, what do you think Heidi is feeling right about now? Because they just announced their split. It was a big decision for them.

And now, you have Seal making all these proclamations. You think she`s thinking, "Oh, maybe we should get back together," or maybe, "Seal, cut it out"?

WALSH: Well, if she`s the one that made the decision to leave, which is most common in our culture these days, then this is a guilt trip to bring her back.

And of course, this is what we all want to see. Of course, there are three children here, and this would be the best outcome. But also keep in mind that just like he said, when you have been with someone eight years, you don`t just cut it off in one moment. The break-up is its own phase of a relationship that can go on for a year or two.

HAMMER: Sure. And you say it would be the best outcome if they got back together. We don`t really know that though. I mean, it`s nice for us to say this for the children`s sake.

WALSH: For the children it certainly would be. Yes.

HAMMER: But not necessarily, again, because we don`t know the full story. I`m at least not always of the belief that the parents should stay together if it`s a bad and, you know, ugly situation at home.

And Seal may still love Heidi with all his heart. But in his new interview with Piers, he also didn`t try to sugarcoat their problems, which I thought was good. Watch what Seal told Piers.

SEAL: I`m not going to sit here and B.S. you and tell you we haven`t had problems. Of course, we`ve had problems. Otherwise, why have we splitting up? Whether we get back together or not, it may happen. I can`t speak for her.

MORGAN: Would you like to?

SEAL: Would I like it to? I don`t know. I don`t know at this point, to be honest, Piers. I think, you know, again if it were that easy, if there weren`t problems, we would still be together. That is the reality.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: That is the reality. There you have it from Seal. So he doesn`t know whether or not they`ll actually get back together. But I can tell you a lot of people do want them to.

Let me get to this. We just got results of our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll. The people have spoken here. We asked, "Heidi Klum and Seal Announced Split: Should they get back together?" Sixty percent, the majority, yes; 40 percent, no. Megan, what do you think? Vote.

MEANY: My vote would be get back together if you guys are soul mates. I`m sick of Hollywood celebrities trashing their vows.

I mean, I don`t think that couples should stay together, like you said, if it`s not healthy, if the kids are experiencing something in the household that`s negative and it`s going to have a long-term impact.

But then again, I sort of roll my eyes when I hear him say, you know, "I love her. I don`t love her any less, not one iota." Really? Well, why can`t you work it out? I think these people are just - everybody`s giving up in Hollywood. I`m sick of it.

WALSH: They`re certainly throwing away good enough relationships. And you know, I do actually -

MEANY: That`s marriage, right? Good enough.

WALSH: Want to go against one thing that you said, that relationships - the research is very clear, that even if parents don`t love each other, even if they fight, the household is still better and the kids survive better if their both parents are there as long as there isn`t substance abuse and domestic violence. Those are the big ones.

SEAL: There`s rumors he`s got a volcanic temper. That would be bad.

HAMMER: And look, I do understand that and I know there`s science to back that up. I`ve seen that as well, but it always seemed to me just from living life, if people really hate each other, which that doesn`t seem the case here, that maybe it is best for everybody -

WALSH: You can work out problems.

HAMMER: We must move now from hope for a Hollywood reunion to wedding bells for Brangelina. Well, for the very first time, really, in the most clear terms ever, Brad Pitt saying he probably won`t be able to hold out on marrying Angelina Jolie for much longer.

Now, you probably remember Brad vowed never to marry until everyone could do so legally no matter their sexual preference. But now, there are six very pushy people influencing his decision, they, of course, being his kids.

Brad just gave a brand-new interview to the "Hollywood Reporter." Here`s what he`s saying, "We`d actually like to get married, and it seems to me more and more to our kids, we made this declaration some time ago that we weren`t going to do it until everyone can. But I don`t think we`ll be able to hold out. It means so much to my kids and it means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment."

And he still says that it`s very important to him that laws are passed so everybody can get married. But Wendy, wow, this is a huge about-face for Brad. Are you surprised?

WALSH: I`m not really surprised, because this is sort of the social pressure he`s feeling. But the truth is, these are - this is one of my favorite Hollywood couples. They seem to on the surface be displaying really healthy family values here, so it really doesn`t matter if they get married or not because they`re living the commitment.

MEANY: Oh, I need them to get married because I have to see photos. I want to see the dress. I want to see Shiloh in a tux.

HAMMER: That would be fascinating. Here`s the thing - they`ve been together for seven years. You have Ashton Kutcher - they`ve been together for seven years. You have Demi - I`m going to do it again.

They`ve been together for seven years. Heidi and Seal were together for seven years, and now, they`re separating. So there is that sort of mentality a lot of people have, "If it ain`t broke, don`t fix it."

MEANY: Well, and we`ve got to root for somebody in Hollywood, right? So if Brad and Angie want to go old school, I love it.

I mean, I`ve got to see Pax in the fatigues with the bag of Doritos walking down the aisle. These two, you know, have their sort of dark past. Brad talks about being bored in his first marriage and smoking a lot.

And she certainly is a little bit of a dark horse. They found their soul mates, they`re saying. I`m buying into this one. I want to see the photo spread.

HAMMER: I think we all do. You allude to another bombshell that came out of this interview. I have to get to this. It`s an admission about being a stoner while he was becoming one of the biggest stars on the planet.

This was, of course, back in the 1990s. Brad says the more famous he got, the more he wanted to be high. He said, "I was smoking way too much dope. I was sitting on a couch and just turning into a doughnut and I really got irritated with myself. I was doing the same thing every night, numbing myself to sleep. The same routine. Couldn`t wait to get home and hide out."

And he now says that he is obviously turned himself around. Bu what do you think of that confession? Pretty raw and honest there.

WALSH: Pretty honest, another thing like about these people. He`s not surprised his marriage ended because of this. As I said, substance abuse is a big one.

But remember, when you get famous, sometimes it`s really hard to emotionally tolerate, because you don`t, on some level, feel you deserve it, because truthfully, they`re really coddled and taken care of. And what did he do? He acted in a movie.

HAMMER: And let`s flash back to what was going on then. He was dating Gwyneth Paltrow.

WALSH: Right.

HAMMER: I`ll never forget her talking about him at the Oscars. And then, of course, he married Jennifer Aniston, yet he wanted to go home and get high.

MEANY: Yes.

WALSH: It seems like the guy`s got it all, right?

HAMMER: Right. I guess so. All right, guys. Well, thank you very much. Megan Meany, Wendy Walsh, good to see you both.

Tonight, there`s big controversy over a new movie starring Helen Hunt as a sex surrogate.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HUNT: Although the aim is for us to have sex, I`m not a prostitute. You don`t have to pay me upfront.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Tonight, a SHOWBIZ special report about this controversial film that just debuted at Sundance. But here`s the great debate, is there anything wrong with being a sex surrogate?

And it is time to play "Wheel of Drinking." Imagine Pat Sajak on "Wheel of Fortune." Now, imagine Pat Sajak on four margaritas.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Have you ever done "Wheel of Fortune" a little bit drunk?

SAJAK: Yes.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Tonight, the squeaky clean Pat Sajak coming clean about perhaps getting blitzed and hosting one of America`s longest-running game shows, "The Wheel of Fortune." What the heck was he thinking? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

It`s time for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Armie Hammer arrested on charges of marijuana possession. Melissa McCarthy talks about meeting Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie at the Golden Globes.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MELISSA MCCARTHY, ACTRESS: In some weird altered state talking to Brad and Angelina. They`re so nice and chatty and really bubbly. And finally, I got a little weird though. I just have to - you have to stop for a minute because it`s a lot visually to take in.

ELLEN DEGENERES, HOST, "THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW": You said that to them?

MCCARTHY: I said that to them. I said you are a lot - they just kind of laughed. I said, "No, really, it is a lot."

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: What`s the difference between a sexual specialist and a common prostitute?

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: I don`t know but I think there`s a difference.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Sex surrogate versus prostitute. The controversial new film "The Surrogate" starring Helen Hunt, William H. Macy and John Hawks just debuted at Sundance Film Festival. It is raising a whole lot of eyebrows.

It is the true story of a 30-something guy debilitated by polio who pays a surrogate to learn how to have sex. The big question tonight, is there anything wrong with that?

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Tonight, surrogate sex, someone who gets paid to have sex with someone else.

And as we see in the brand-new film that just debuted at Sundance, "The Surrogate," it dramatically helps a man who has long been disabled.

But there`s a great debate over whether a sex surrogate is really no different than a prostitute. Here`s SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter with the actual surrogate portrayed in the film in this SHOWBIZ special report.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

CHERYL COHEN GREENE, SEX SURROGATE: I`ve had many people tell me, "I`ve never been with anybody who talked so openly and comfortably about sexuality."

KAREEN WYNTER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT CORRESPONDENT: Cheryl Cohen Greene doesn`t just talk about sex. The 67-year-old grandmother of two actually engages in sex for money.

Nearly 40 years ago, she became a sex surrogate. Today, she`s one of about 50 registered in the U.S.

(on camera) You`re getting paid for sex.

C. GREENE: But I`m not getting paid for sex. I`m getting paid - that is a piece of it, but more of the session we`re doing - communication skills, touching skills. It`s not all genitally focus. It`s the whole body.

WYNTER: Over the years, Cohen Greene says she`s seen more than 950 clients, most of them here, inside her Berkeley, California home. They are primarily men dealing with everything from impotence and other sexual dysfunctions to those coping with severe physical disabilities.

MARK O`BRIEN, POET: I thought of myself as the ugliest man in the world.

WYNTER (voice-over): In this Oscar-winning 1996 documentary, the late author and poet, Mark O`Brien, who suffered from childhood polio, recalled visiting Cohen Greene, desperate at age 36 to finally lose his virginity.

O`BRIEN: She kissed me on the chest after we had intercourse. Yes. I felt my chest was very unattractive.

HUNT: Mark, take a deep breath.

WYNTER: Their story inspired "The Surrogate," premiering at Sundance this week. This is where Cohen Greene talks with clients. She says she talks with them about their bodies and instructs them on how to conquer those sexual hang-ups.

The therapy sessions can include anything from fondling to actual intercourse and range from six to 10 sessions, sometimes more.

The American Psychological Association hasn`t taken a position on the use of surrogates like Cohen Greene, but some mental health experts think the practice is outrageous.

BETHANY MARSHALL, PSYCHOANALYST: You have a person holding themselves out to be an expert or an authority figure engaging in an act that puts another person in a position of tremendous vulnerability.

WYNTER: Cohen Greene says the vulnerability goes both ways.

C. GREENE: This is a very vulnerable session we share together. I`ve had a mastectomy. I`ve had reconstruction. I had to introduce that to clients.

WYNTER: Her husband Bob supports what she does.

BOB GREENE, HUSBAND OF CHERYL COHEN GREENE: It doesn`t bother me because I know what she`s doing.

WYNTER: He was a client in 1979, struggling in relationships due to what he calls performance anxiety.

B. GREENE: For me, it was life changing. She provided a safe and secure environment where I was able to relax and calm myself, my mind.

C. GREENE: The more comfortable people are in any culture with their sexuality, I believe there`s less fighting. I believe there will be happier people.

WYNTER: People she wants to feel as comfortable talking about sex as she does.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter joining me now from Hollywood. I just find that so fascinating, Kareen. And I understand that this movie, based on Cheryl Cohen Greene and Mark O`Brien`s story, "The Surrogate," has already been snapped up at the Sundance Film Festival.

WYNTER: A.J., just like that, right after its big debut in fact. Fox Searchlight picked up the film for - get this - $6 million. The interest here, A.J. - it`s just so insane.

Everyone`s talking about the whole issue of sex surrogacy that a profession like this even really exists. There`s so much buzz and a lot of talk it could, could, be a good Oscar contender which isn`t crazy at this point.

You do have Helen Hunt, former Academy Award winner, in the lead role. So it`s exciting to see where things are going to take off from here.

HAMMER: And it`s easy to understand though why people are so up in arms with the idea, isn`t it?

WYNTER: Absolutely. There`s no doubt about it. Bottom line, when you get paid for sex, which is what Cheryl does, you know, look, you`re going to take a ton of hits.

And so, A.J., that`s what really makes this so remarkable. She gets it. She makes no apologies for her day job. So that`s Cheryl for you.

HAMMER: As I said, really fascinating story. It will be an interesting movie to see. All right. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter, thank you.

As we move on, can you imagine going on "The Wheel of Fortune" after a couple of margaritas? No? How about hosting the show drunk?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Have you ever done "Wheel of Fortune" a little bit drunk?

SAJAK: Yes.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Perfect. Tonight, it`s the "Wheel of Drinking." Host Pat Sajak coming clean about hosting "Wheel of Fortune" after knocking a few back. My question is, how did they let him on the air like that? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Time for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Kenny Chesney leads Academy of Country Music awards with nine nominations. Dustin Hoffman, who helped Jonah Hill get his break, beams about Hill`s Oscar nod.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DUSTIN HOFFMAN, ACTOR: Let me tell you how I feel about Jonah Hill, OK, because Jonah Hill has been a friend of my family and myself since we knew him in high school. He`s a friend of all our kids.

I knew how gifted he was because my kids made me aware of it when he was about 18 years old. He`s an extraordinarily talented actor, and I am so happy for him.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Time now for the SHOWBIZ buzz list, Oscar edition. Here`s what the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT staff is buzzing about. First up, of course, Oscar fashion.

The nominees were just announced this week. We can`t wait to see what they`re going to be wearing.

We just love the brand-new Oscars app. You get to go behind the scenes and stay up to speed with this year`s show from anywhere.

Eleni`s Oscar cookies. I love this idea. If you can`t go to the Oscars, you can at least go home with all of the big stars in cookie form.

We like it. Yes, you`ve got to check out the Oscars Facebook page for all the big buzz leading up to Oscar night.

(MUSIC)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Tonight, "Wheel of Drinking." That`s really good. You probably wouldn`t believe me if I didn`t have this on tape, but the fantastic and squeaky clean "Wheel of Fortune" host, Pat Sajak, just revealed he`s hosted the show with a couple of cocktails under his belt.

That`s right. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner back with me now from Hollywood. And Nischelle, I`ve got to tell you, I love that Pat spilled on this. And I love that we share a common love for the margarita.

TURNER: Me three, you know, A.J. But I guess we should say that Pat - at least he used to. Here`s the real drinking deal, though. Pat Sajak just made his cocktailing revelation on the ESPN show, Dan Le Batard`s "Highly Questionable."

He says the downtime in the early days of the show was just so boring that during their 2 1/2 hour dinner breaks between tapings he and Vanna White just stopped on by their favorite Mexican watering hole. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SAJAK: And they served great margaritas. So we would go - Vanna and I would go across and have two or three or six and then come and do the last shows and have trouble recognizing the alphabet. They`re really good tapes to get hold of.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It sounds like you did more than one. You did a handful, loaded up on margaritas.

SAJAK: We did. I think the number - the average number was cuatro.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes. That would be four. So I`m thinking, Nischelle, good thing those letters would light up in case he and Vanna, you know, were lit up. I do know now though - let`s look back.

He`s hosting I believe his 31st year of the show. Obviously, he got away with it. It didn`t stop his incredible career. I would love to see tapes of those specific shows.

TURNER: Can you imagine if we got our hands on those? Like him solving the wrong puzzle. Vanna flipping the wrong letters. Now, that would be some good TV.

HAMMER: Hey, Vanna, let`s go shopping. It`s time to spin the wheel. Should we do it one more time, guys? We have time. Tonight, "Wheel of Drinking."

TURNER: "Wheel of Drinking" -

HAMMER: OK. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner - thanks, Nischelle.

We must move now to Rosie O`Donnell taking Kathy Griffin to task for making fun of Oprah.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

O`DONNELL: And I think that you thought that you would not be allowed to appear on my show -

KATHY GRIFFIN, COMEDIAN: Yes, absolutely.

O`DONNELL: Because of the things you`ve said about Oprah.

GRIFFIN: Yes.

HAMMER: Kathy Griffin on how she really feels about Oprah. She explains, coming up next on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Who dares to make fun of Oprah Winfrey? Kathy Griffin, of course. But she says, you know, it`s all in good fun. Kathy was just on "The Rosie O`Donnell Show" and she revealed she feels Oprah is fair game. And she`s not laughing at Oprah, she`s laughing with her.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GRIFFIN: I would say absolutely, that I make fun of Oprah because of her behavior, you know. That is funny to me that she does the jaw-dropping -

O`DONNELL: Yes, right.

GRIFFIN: And it is those things that no matter how wonderful she is and of course I see her as a human being -

O`DONNELL: Right.

GRIFFIN: and sometimes she will say something that is so over-the-top, to me, that I find it amusing in the way that I make fun of Madonna.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I love Kathy Griffin! And that is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Thank you for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer. You can catch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusively, weeknights at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific right here on HLN.

And stay right here for "DR. DREW," next. Tonight, Dr. Drew sits down with the sex surrogate who inspired the Sundance hit film "The Surrogate."
