Hello. I`m Carlos Diaz in New York. A.J. Hammer is on assignment at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. A.J. will be with us in a moment. But first, Whitney Houston, the untold story.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has learned brand-new information about the investigation into Whitney`s shocking and sudden death. Tonight, we are hearing brand- new heartbreaking and chilling details about Whitney`s final hours from her own family, including her daughter, Bobbi Kristina.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you with Whitney`s family just opening up to Oprah Winfrey, so many questions have now been answered. But hold on a second, because as you`re about to see, there are many more mysteries.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

PATRICIA HOUSTON, WHITNEY HOUSTON`S SISTER-IN-LAW: She really is a pained piece.

DIAZ (voice-over): Oprah Winfrey`s interview with Whitney Houston`s family was definitely a TV event.

P. HOUSTON: When I saw them cover her up, I knew that that was it.

DIAZ: Whitney`s sister-in-law, and manager, Patricia Houston, recounted the horrifying scene on February 11 when an unconscious Whitney was found in her Beverly Hilton Hotel room.

P. HOUSTON: She had a peacefulness, a look on her face. She had a peaceful look.

DIAZ: Whitney`s brother, Gary, sang a musical tribute to his sister, one he was too grief-stricken to finish.

(SINGING)

And they answered difficult questions about Whitney`s death and her life, including the legendary drug use by Whitney and her one-time husband, Bobby Brown.

OPRAH WINFREY, MEDIA MOGUL: Did you all, family, try to get her help for the drugs? Did you try to intervene?

P. HOUSTON: Oh, without a doubt. We were always trying, but the choice was always theirs and hers. They`re grown people.

DIAZ: But while Whitney`s family is answering questions for Oprah, today, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has learned that interview has investigators asking questions of their own.

KAREEN WYNTER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT CORRESPONDENT: Investigators paid very close attention to this, the statements that Patricia Houston gave.

DIAZ: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter reports investigators who are looking into Houston`s mysterious death were surprised at how Whitney`s sister-in-law and manager answered one particular question.

WINFREY: Did you think that drugs would end up taking her? Did you think that?

P. HOUSTON: The handwriting was kind of on the wall. I would be kidding myself to say otherwise.

WINFREY: Were you afraid that she would be gone too soon?

P. HOUSTON: If things hadn`t changed, but things were changing.

WYNTER: Statements that she gave to Oprah, I`m being told, are completely different from what she gave to investigators.

DIAZ: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter says investigators feel they got a different story from Patricia Houston in that hotel room.

WYNTER: They say when they interviewed her the day that Whitney Houston died, in fact, in the hotel room, that nothing that she said in terms of statements, comments, led them to believe that drugs could have played a role here.

DIAZ: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can report today the investigation into what killed Whitney Houston is entering an important phase.

WYNTER: Sources to the Houston death investigation tell me they`re very close to wrapping this up.

DIAZ: But one task remains undone for investigators, a talk with Whitney`s 19-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina, who was with Whitney in Los Angeles when she died.

WYNTER: Investigators say they`re hoping that this teen will actually talk to them as well. They haven`t had a lot of luck.

DIAZ: As we saw last night, Bobbi Kristina did talk to Oprah.

B.K. HOUSTON: I can hear her voice.

DIAZ: But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has learned that investigators hope that Whitney`s only daughter can shed new light on their probe.

WYNTER: They`re hoping that Bobbi Kristina can perhaps them fill in the blanks that they`re still looking to fill right now, perhaps any medicine she may have taken, drinks she may have consumed, anything that may have happened in those final hours leading up to her death.

DIAZ: Whether investigators talk to Bobbi Kristina or not, it looks like we`re about to see the end of this investigation.

But while there may be resolution in the Whitney Houston death mystery for her grieving family, this loss will never be resolved.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

I can tell you, a lot of people watched those interviews with Oprah. Late today, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT learned that Oprah`s special was watched by 3.5 million viewers, the biggest audience ever on Oprah`s network.

And while the family covered a lot of ground in their talk with Oprah, there were some big, burning questions people were asking about today.

In Hollywood tonight is Virginia Williams, the star of the hit series, "Fairly Legal" on the USA Network. "Fairly Legal`s" second season premieres this Friday.

And in New York is actress, activist and my good friend, Sheryl Lee Ralph. She`s the author of the new book, "Redefining Diva: Life Lessons from the Original Dream Girl." It`s in bookstores now.

All right. Oprah`s interview with Whitney`s family aired one month to the day after Whitney`s death. And a lot of people were asking today, should they have waited longer?

So here`s to our SHOWBIZ flashpoint, was it too soon for Whitney`s family to speak out? Sheryl lee, what do you think?

SHERYL LEE RALPH, ACTRESS AND ACTIVIST: You know something? This is a hard one, because, you know, for us, it`s probably too soon. For you or I, it would be too soon.

But maybe there was something that they needed to get said. Maybe there was - maybe they want you to see the picture that they have and want you to see finally of Whitney. There`s so many maybes.

Maybe somebody got paid. Who knows why? But for whatever reason, right now, with Oprah was the time that the whole family decided, "Let`s talk." But remember, we did not hear from her mother.

DIAZ: It`s a good point. Virginia Williams, was it too soon in your mind for Whitney`s family to speak out?

VIRGINIA WILLIAMS, ACTRESS: You know, I agree with Sheryl Lee. They`re all adults, and I mean, even Bobbi Kristina is 19.

And I think that it`s wise that Oprah didn`t ask too many hard-hitting questions to her daughter. I think that that was definitely -

DIAZ: Do you think it was wise, though - I mean, let`s talk about that. How wise was it, though? Because a lot of people -

WILLIAMS: Well, it`s kind.

DIAZ: Kind. But it`s one thing to be considerate, but we`re talking about there are rumors that Bobbi Kristina is using, and a lot of people were asking today why Oprah didn`t ask Whitney`s 19-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina, any difficult questions.

For example, having her set the record straight about all the reports her family was worried that she might be on drugs after her mom`s death. Our next SHOWBIZ flashpoint, should Oprah have asked more of Bobbi Kristina? Sheryl, for her own good.

RALPH: You know something? Once again, we have our thoughts about what we could - if it was me, if it was my child and these rumors were floating about, I would definitely want somebody to step up to the plate and say, "Dear child, I want you to learn from the mistakes that were made ahead of you so that you do not take that same road. Let this be a learning point for you, because we love you and we`re rooting for you so much."

But look, Oprah is the Big O. She is the pro, she has her style, and I guess she had certain reasons why she did not go there with Bobbi Kristina.

DIAZ: And Virginia, I wanted to let you - I will let you finish. I mean, you started to say that you don`t think Bobbi Kristina, that Oprah should have asked her the questions, the hard questions. Why do you think that she should have taken it easy on her?

WILLIAMS: Well, because I think it`s the investigator`s job to ask those questions.

DIAZ: Good point.

WILLIAMS: I don`t think that it`s necessarily Oprah`s job one month later. I mean, as much as we all want to know, it`s ultimately none of our business. This is a personal matter for them and I think the investigators can ask whatever the heck they want to ask.

DIAZ: I agree with you on the investigator part.

WILLIAMS: I think that one month later, it`s too soon.

DIAZ: I agree with you on the investigator part, but Oprah could serve as a mother figure right now, someone that Bobbi Kristina could look up to. And if she gets advice, like, "Listen, if you need anybody to talk to, you come talk to me," maybe Oprah could intervene in that way.

Now, Oprah`s interview with Whitney`s family was unique in one way. Whitney`s sister-in-law, Patricia, said more than anyone else has ever said so far about Whitney`s relationship with singer Ray J.

Now, Ray J was reported to be romantically involved with Whitney. You know, he`s 17 years younger than she is. Patricia never mentioned Ray J by name, but she made it clear that she did not approve of that relationship. Listen.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

P. HOUSTON: I saw her chasing a dream, you know, looking for love in all the wrong places. The dream that she was chasing was younger. In my opinion, you know, a young, you know, that`s thriving and loved to be out and about.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: All right, so I`ve got to ask you, I mean, real quick, do you think that this was something that should not have been said?

WILLIAMS: I don`t think she should have said it. Let her - I mean, we all have such fond memories of Whitney and we love her so much. and as much as we`d want to know what all is going on with her, I think to - that`s clearly a judgment call and Whitney`s not there to defend herself.

RALPH: Absolutely. Absolutely. She is not here.

DIAZ: All right, guys. Thank you so much. Appreciate it. Virginia Williams stars in the new season "Fairly Legal" which premieres Friday on USA.

And Sheryl Lee Ralph`s new book, "Redefining Diva: Life Lessons from the Original Dream Girl" hits bookstores tomorrow.

Virginia, Sheryl, stay right there, because a little later, we`ve got the emotional look at Bobbi Kristina after her mother`s death.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

B.K. HOUSTON: I hear her voice, you know, in spirit, talking to me, and telling me, you know, "Keep moving, with baby," you know? You know, "I`m right here. I`ve got you."

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: All right. Tonight, what her body language may be saying about her state of mind.

Moving on to Jon Hamm`s surprising slam of Kim Kardashian. The "Mad Men" star has just started a war with reality TV`s biggest star. Yes. He called her stupid. I`m not kidding. So what`s behind this unlikely new family feud?

Also, Madonna`s epic mommy confession. She`s worth millions. She`s one of the biggest superstars on the planet.

But Madonna has just confessed that being a single mom of four makes her feel like her head`s going to explode. Our SHOWBIZ flashpoint, does she deserve our sympathy? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: "Modern Family`s" Sofia Vergara to host "Saturday Night Live" on April 7.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(SINGING)

DIAZ: Five band mates, one guitar, nearly 80 million YouTube hits. That`s the video of Walk Off the Earth`s huge viral smash, "Somebody that I Used to Know." It took 14 hours and 26 takes to get that video right, and it`s paying off big time.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Carlos Diaz in for A.J. Hammer tonight. SHOWBIZ on location. A.J. is on assignment right now at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, where Walk Off the Earth just performed at the HLNTV.com official launch party.

Now, A.J. was at the CNN grill at South by Southwest where the hottest band on YouTube just got done playing. Hey, A.J., this has got to be an amazing success story.

A.J. HAMMER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT HOST: Carlos, I love this story and I love this band. And yes, they`re obviously very talented. It`s an amazing song. It`s such a unique video. But what it really shows is when it comes to YouTube and the power of the Internet, the sky`s the limit.

(SINGING)

HAMMER: So we have to talk about this massive, what seems to many people to be instant success. It`s not overnight. You guys have been together for, what, about five years now.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Five or six, yes.

HAMMER: So when you guys first uploaded this video, what were your expectations? Because, certainly, it was probably not what ended up happening.

GIANNI LUMINATI, BAND MEMBER, WALK OFF THE EARTH: We usually get like 5,000 views a day when we`d upload a new video. So I knew something special was going on with this video, and we woke up the next morning, it was well, well past that.

(SINGING)

HAMMER: Why do you think it has struck the chord that it has struck?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: There`s nothing out there like it on YouTube right now. There`s not five people playing on one guitar out there. And the fact that it`s a wicked song, so those two things put together, something super- original and an awesome song together just kind of took over.

(MUSIC)

And the numbers are astounding. I was just checking before we sat down. It`s somewhere in the neighborhood of about 79 million, 80 million hits. Does that even register?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: No.

HAMMER: Come on. I want to hear, like, did somebody go out and buy something? Is there money coming in yet?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Not as much as people think.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes.

HAMMER: Tell me about that. Immediately, someone thinks, 100 million people have seen you on YouTube, so the bucks have got to be rolling in.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE There`s a huge my conception with the views on YouTube, that you get paid for views, and that is true when you own the song. But we don`t own the song. Someone else owns the rights to that song, so someone else made whatever they made.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We actually had to pay.

(SINGING)

HAMMER: So what`s been the most incredible part of this ride for you so far?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It really did revamp my faith in the music industry.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Let`s actually focus on the music for once instead of all the business side of everything.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The energy we have in the day gets directed towards something we love.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I came from music school. I`ve got half a degree to my name as of right now, and the thought of not going back is pretty exciting, the fact that I don`t have to wake up and go to my day job.

HAMMER: Congratulations and enjoy the ride.

Carlos, you and I both know when it comes to Internet sensations, they come and go every day. But I can tell you these guys, I truly believe, are going to be around for a long time to come. Now, I`ve got to go get some barbecue. Keep up the nice work.

DIAZ: Thanks so much, A.J. Way to rub it in. All right. Coming up later, we`ve got Ray J`s emotional Whitney Houston confession.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

RAY J, SINGER: I got a picture of somebody they really love and it helps me through the day.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Ray J is speaking out for the very first time about losing his dear friend, Whitney Houston. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT reveals all of the dramatic details about Ray J`s brand-new confession about Whitney`s death.

And another blockbuster celebrity confession. Madonna`s startling admission that being a single mom of four makes her head feel like it`s going to explode. Our SHOWBIZ flashpoint, should we feel bad for the world`s most famous single mom? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Chad Ochocinco and Evelyn Lozada sign deal to do "Basketball Wives" spin-off on VH1. Tom Hanks makes surprise visit on "Saturday Night Live."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TOM HANKS, ACTOR: You have mastered the role of a mature and caring man and I would like you to have this.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: One of your Oscars, for me?

HANKS: Yes.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Do you mean it?

HANKS: Sure. Yes, go ahead. No! I`m just kidding! Are you kidding? You lost, man. You don`t get to own one.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

DIAZ: Tonight, the big debate over dick van dyke`s surprising wedding to a woman 46 years younger than him. Van Dyke just tied the knot with Arlene Silver, his makeup artist and girlfriend of six years. He`s 86, she`s 40.

That`s got a lot of people asking if it`s way too much of an age difference. Just this morning, the ladies of "The View" got all fired up about it. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SHERRI SHEPHERD, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": When you`re 40, you know you have life experience. I think we get upset when she`s like 18 or she`s 20, because she hasn`t lived yet. She hasn`t experienced a lot of things. I think we kind of feel protective when they`re still young.

BARBARA WALTERS, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER AND CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": Does 40 make you the age that makes you -

SHEPHERD: At 40, you`ve been through some things. You`ve got some tire marks on you, you know, when you`re 40 and over.

JOY BEHAR, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": She could check out actuary tables because -

(CROSS TALK)

I love Dick Van Dyke, but this is ridiculous.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Wow. OK. Clearly, a lot of conversation over this whopping 46-year age difference. I want to go to the star of USA`s "Fairly Legal," Virginia Williams, to get her take on tonight`s big debate.

Virginia, we`re talking about a huge gap. Does that matter, or is love really all you need?

WILLIAMS: You know, I think love is really all you need. I kind of defend - my character on the show, actually, married someone over twice her age.

And when I was shooting the first season, I had to really try and rectify that and come to terms with, you know, is this person really a kind of a gold digger or did she really love him?

I made the choice as actor that she really loves him. I got it in my head. I didn`t really get it in my heart. But I have a friend this year that I just made who is with someone over twice her age.

And when I see them together, I really see how in love they are. And I think - I don`t know. I do think love is blind. One thing that`s interesting about them is I think that, Arlene, I believe is the new wife`s name. I read somewhere that they both share a passion for singing.

And I think if you share a passion and if you`re with someone who`s really, really good at something that you`re good at, or that you love, it makes them attractive. So I don`t know. More power to them.

DIAZ: All right. Virginia Williams, thanks so much. Remember, you can catch Virginia on the second season of USA`s "Fairly Legal," premiering on Friday.

And now the SHOWBIZ lineup - here`s what`s coming up at the bottom of the hour right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Tonight, a daughter`s tears. Whitney Houston`s daughter`s dramatic ordeal to overcome her mother`s shocking death.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

B.K. BROWN: We were going to do the singing thing, you know? We`re going to do some acting, you know, some dancing, you know.

WINFREY: Oh, my god, that`s a lot of pressure for you, though, don`t you think?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Our body language expert analyzes every frame of Bobbi Kristina`s emotional interview with Oprah Winfrey and tells us what she`s really feeling.

Plus, the Hamm slam. Jon Hamm`s hot new feud with Kim Kardashian. Why the "Mad Men" star just called the queen of reality TV an idiot. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Angela Bassett returns to TV in Fox CIA drama. House from "Home Alone" movies sells for $1.58 million in Illinois.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

B.K. BROWN: In spirit, talking to me and telling me, you know, "Keep moving, baby. You know I`m right here, I got you."

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Big news breaking tonight on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Inside the mind of Whitney Houston`s daughter through her body language. The emotional first look at Bobbi Kristina after her mother`s death. Tonight, what her body may be saying about her state of mind.

Brutal Hamm slam. TV`s mad man Jon Hamm slams Kim Kardashian for being an idiot. The great debate tonight, is Jon completely out of line?

Madonna, the mommy. Four kids, a worldwide superstar, and she`s doing it all by herself. Tonight, why Madonna says her head is about to explode. The SHOWBIZ flashpoint, do you feel bad for Madonna?

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC)

DIAZ: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I am Carlos Diaz in for A.J. Hammer, with big news breaking tonight - a daughter`s tears.

There are stunning new revelations tonight about Whitney Houston`s last days. Whitney`s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, just broke her silence about her final moments with her mother and how she`s coping with her tragic loss. Bobbi Kristina put on a brave face for a candid and emotional interview with Oprah Winfrey.

And she talked of recovery, but what did her body language say? And is she hiding a much deeper struggle to cope with the pain?

With me tonight from Atlanta is Patti Wood, who is a body language expert.

All right. The world watched just over a month ago as Bobbi Kristina struggled to cope with her mother`s death. She was rushed to the hospital twice.

And at 18 years old, it`s no surprise this would be very difficult for her. Oprah asked Bobbi Kristina about her last moments with her mother. Watch with me.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

B.K. BROWN: That very last day, it was so, so early in the morning, so early, the very last day. I don`t know why - I went to go get her. And I said, "You know, mom, will you just come lay down with me? Just come lay with me." She stayed with me all night and all day.

All night and all day. And she was rubbing my head, just holding me, you know, everything. And I just - and I slept in her arms.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Patti, when you see Bobbi Kristina reflecting on those last moments, what is her body language telling you? Is this a normal reaction for someone who has lost someone so close to them?

PATTI WOOD, BODY LANGUAGE EXPERT: I think grief is so individual. In her case, you see her doing a comfort cue and pushing her hair out of her eyes, which is also a combination of attractiveness signal as well.

She wants to look good in this particular moment. But she often, as she`s talking about her mother, especially when she`s talking about her mother`s voice, her hands go up and away from her head, away from her body, showing that even the idea of hearing her mother`s voice in her grief is painful for her, and she wants to fling it away.

Since Whitney`s death, it has seemed that you can`t turn on a radio or television or even surf the Internet without coming across of one of her famous songs or a rendition of her song.

Her music is everywhere, and there was a moment in the interview where Bobbi Kristina talked about that impact now of hearing her mother`s music. Let`s watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

B.K. BROWN: I can sing her music, but to hear it right now -

WINFREY: You can`t?

B.K. BROWN: I can`t. You know, to hear it - I can hear her voice in spirit talking to me, and telling me, you know, "Keep moving, baby, you know. I`m right here. I`ve got you."

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Bobbi Kristina`s emotions are naturally still very raw over the loss of her mother. Patti, what did her body language tell you when she talked about hearing Whitney`s voice?

WOOD: Again, her hands went away from her head instead of what you normally do when you have a loss. As you talk about the person, you bring your hands closer to you, closer to your heart.

And she also did, in this instance, and in later instances, she does a lot of scratching motions. That kind of particular comfort cue, that self- abuse shows that she`s in a lot of pain and she wants to get these painful thoughts out of herself.

DIAZ: Interesting. I`ve got to say, it was surprising to learn that Bobbi Kristina is living alone right now in the home that she and Whitney shared.

She talked about what it`s like and she revealed that she still hears her mother talking to her. Let`s watch this together.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

B.K. BROWN: First night. The first night was the most difficult. The first night, I couldn`t stay there. The first night, then the next morning, you know, I woke up, and I heard her say, "All right. Come on home now. Come home."

And when I came back home, I felt humbled, you know. I felt OK. I felt OK to stay in the house. And ever since then, I`ve been fine. I`ve been fine just being in that house.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: Now, when you see her talk about being in that house alone, does she appear to be holding it together? What do you take away from her body language there?

WOOD: She`s doing a lot of things to try to hold it together. You can see in the distant shot, she has her hand on her hip, which is a power cue women use when they want to gain confidence.

She`s also repeating the positive statements, "I feel fine. I feel fine." But you also see the scratching, again, that she is in pain. She`s in real pain.

DIAZ: Well, you know, Whitney Houston`s close friend, Ray J, widely reported to be her on again-off again boyfriend, is also speaking out for the very first time since her death.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT was right there when he made an appearance for the children`s charity, the Brotherhood Cause. Here`s Ray J in his own words.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

RAY J, SINGER: I really miss my friend, you know? I really do. I`m still hurting. I just want to say, like, Whitney, you know, I love giving back to the kids.

I love, you know, helping my community. I`ve been a part of the Brotherhood Crusade and working with them since I was 16 years old. It`s just such a tough time for me.

I`ve been through a lot in these past two weeks. I`m able to look at life in a whole different way. I always look at my phone, because I`ve got a picture of - I`ve got a picture of somebody that I really love, and it helps me through the day.

This is all new for me. I`m really emotional right now. I really don`t know really what to say. But what I will say is that I love and I`m hurt. But I enjoy being around people, you know, that support me and that, you know, give me a sense of peace.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DIAZ: That`s Ray J with the children`s charity, the Brotherhood Crusade. Often we forget that it`s not family that suffers - not just family, like in a loss like this. What do you get from Ray J`s body language when you see him speak?

WOOD: He did a lot of suppression cues. That mouth going down at the corners with the lips tightly held together as the emotion came up. He wanted to stop it coming out fully.

And he also did what is called tongue cleansing, as the emotion got very strong, as he talked about the photo on his phone, where the tongue comes out like that. And he`s trying to get rid of this grief, get rid of the painful emotions.

And you can hear it. You can hear also the vibrato in his voice. That`s called paralanguage cues.

DIAZ: In about 20 seconds, do you think that this shows that Ray J was more than just a friend with Whitney?

WOOD: You can tell that there`s a very strong emotional connection. You can feel that there was great intimacy in the way that he`s grieving.

DIAZ: All right. Patti Wood, thank you so much for joining us. I really appreciate it.

WOOD: My pleasure.

DIAZ: Tonight, did Jon Hamm really just call Kim Kardashian an idiot? The madman is railing on the reality star, but what`s got him so furious at Kim Kardashian? You have got to hear Jon Hamm`s big slam. Is he out of line?

And Madonna, the mom. Single, with four kids, and a superstar career. Tonight, why Madonna says her head is about to explode. The SHOWBIZ flashpoint, do you feel sorry for Madonna? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news tonight.

TEXT: Report: Tom Cruise being courted to star in "A Star is Born" with Beyonce. Former `NSync member, Lance Bass, talks to Rosie O`Donnell about coming out.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LANCE BASS, FORMER MEMBER, `NSYNC: I was living with my boyfriend. We were in love and so we were publicly going to places and I wasn`t hiding it to my friends and family.

ROSIE O`DONNELL, HOST, "ROSIE": Right.

LANCE: So I knew, eventually, it was going to happen. But I think the way that they did it was really tacky.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

DIAZ: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Carlos Diaz in for A.J. Hammer. Tonight, the Hamm slam.

"Mad Men" star, Jon Hamm, apparently is no fan of reality stars. During an interview with "Elle UK," Hamm pretty much called Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton idiots. Did he go too far?

Here with me now in New York is actress Sheryl Lee Ralph who wrote this brand-new book, "Redefining Diva: Life Lessons from the Original Dream Girl." And from Hollywood is Matt Grant, former cast member of "The Bachelor."

Jon Hamm is a madman and he goes really mad and goes right after Kim K and Paris in this new "Elle UK" interview, saying, "We`re at a place where the idea of being elite is somehow considered negative. Whether it`s Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated."

Wow. "Being a (EXPLETIVE DELETED) idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture, because you`re rewarded significantly. It`s celebrated. It doesn`t make sense to me."

So here`s our SHOWBIZ flashpoint, does Jon Hamm go too far by calling Kim and Paris idiots? Or does he have a point? Sheryl Lee, what do you think?

RALPH: He went just a little bit too far. Hamm, I was agreeing with you all the way, baby, but we`ve got to have a touch of civility. Calling folks (EXPLETIVE DELETED) idiots - that`s not very nice.

DIAZ: Wow.

RALPH: But we kind of agree with you, baby.

DIAZ: Well, Kim Kardashian heard about what Hamm said and tweeted, "Calling someone who runs their own business, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, and designs and creates stupid is, in my opinion, careless." Matt, are you on team Kim?

MATT GRANT, FORMER CAST MEMBER, "THE BACHELOR": No way. Now, I`m a Hamm man. I think that - I think that he`s got this pretty much spot-on. I think that maybe the F-word could be pulled out.

DIAZ: Sure.

GRANT: But I think that we have two levels of reality stars these days. We have, you know, the likes of Dr. Drew and people and change shows that actually -

DIAZ: Make a difference.

GRANT: Make a difference in people`s lives, improve people`s lives. And then we have the Kardashians and people like that who really I see very little sort of constructive, productive effort coming from them.

I think if had - if they were seen to be doing more nonprofit work, maybe they would be taken a little more seriously.

RALPH: Yes.

DIAZ: Well, another star who`s generally at home when she`s at the center of controversy is Madonna. Now, she`s making a shocking confession about being a single working mom.

She told Britain`s "The Sun" that she feels as if her head`s going to explode from all the stress of being a single mom and says, "I`m not going to lie. It`s hard work having four kids and doing all the work I do."

RALPH: Listen -

DIAZ: No, no. My head`s going to explode. I`ve got to say this. There`s nannies involved. She doesn`t do it all herself. Come on. Come on.

RALPH: Wait a minute. Wait a minute. I have been a single mother and I know sometimes you have those children and they make you wish you were a virgin again.

DIAZ: Sheryl, how many nannies do you have? How many nannies do you have?

RALPH: I have absolutely one and she`s been with us the whole lifetime of our children.

DIAZ: Well, shame on you, Sheryl.

RALPH: No, baby. In order to do the things that we do, sometimes you need a little bit of great help.

DIAZ: But are you complaining?

RALPH: I`m not complaining, but what Madonna is saying, basically, is that she is a mother. She is involved with all four of her children`s lives, and she`s mother enough to know that sometimes those little children drive you crazy, teenagers, especially, because the aliens come and get them.

DIAZ: OK. OK. I`ve got to get more breaking news tonight.

RALPH: Hey, I`m with you, Madonna! I know what it`s like, baby!

DIAZ: You can yell all you want. Britney Spears big "X Factor" payday. She reportedly told Simon Cowell to "hit me one more time" with a big offer.

RALPH: Yes.

DIAZ: Halle Berry says yes to Olivia Martinez. And is Taylor Swift making big money? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter has the answer in "The Buzz Today."

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

WYNTER (voice-over): Taylor Swift wins. Taylor Swift is number one on Billboard`s Top 40 moneymaker`s list. Billboard just revealed Taylor made $35.7 million last year, more than Adele, Britney Spears, and Katy Perry combined.

U2 came in second with $32.1 million, and country singer Kenny Chesney, a close third with $29.8 million.

Halle Berry is engaged. Rumors of Halle`s engagement to French actor Oliver Martinez began when Berry supported an emerald ring.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can now tell you Halle`s engaged to be married. The Oscar- winning actress was previously married to baseball player, David Justice, and singer Eric Benet.

Britney`s big "X Factor" rejection. Britney Spears has just rejected Simon Cowell`s $10 million offer to judge "The X Factor." "The Wrap" is reporting that while Spears passed on the deal weeks ago, she`s trying to work out a $20 million payday to join the show.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

DIAZ: $20 million sounds like J. Lo money to me. That takes us to our SHOWBIZ flashpoint, is Britney Spears worth $20 million? Matt, what do you think?

GRANT: No. No, I don`t think so. I also think in times of such austerity that to come out publicly and sort of pooh-pooh $10 million may be that isn`t the right sort of rhetoric, I don`t know.

But I think that she`s obviously, you know, talented and very well-known. I`d be quite happy with $10 million. How about I have Steve Jones` job for $1 million? I`ll take that.

DIAZ: Well, you know what? The way you`re speaking, dude, you`ve got me hooked. So I`ve got to say to you, I love your accent. Sheryl Lee, what do you think? Should Simon Cowell pay up?

RALPH: Let me tell you, it`s women`s history month and I`m all for Madonna saying "Hit me, baby, one more time."

DIAZ: You mean Britney Spears. You`re still on Madonna.

RALPH: I`m still hooked on the Madonna thing. But I`m all for it.

GRANT: Get on the program, Sheryl.

RALPH: You see what you`re saying? I love you, darling, talking that way to me. You know I would say yes to anything you have to say.

But I`m all for her saying, "Give me what I`m worth. I`m worth the $20 million. Hit me, baby, one more time. You go for it.

Matt Grant, Sheryl Lee Ralph, thank you so much. And be sure to pick up Sheryl Lee`s new book. It`s called "Redefining Diva: Life Lessons from the Original Dream Girl." I love you.

Tonight, did Marie Osmond pee her pants? Yes, believe it. The unbelievable story of why Marie Osmond laughed so hard, she ended up sweeping the deck, if you know what I mean. That`s next.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

DIAZ: Tonight, did Marie Osmond pee her pants? Yes, I really - yes, I said it, and it did happen. It really did. Marie and her famous brother, Donny, were taking a couple of questions while on a cruise ship about a week ago when one question caused Marie to keel over in hysterics.

And then it happened. She laughed so hard, she revealed to the crowd, quote, "I just peed my pants. Oh, ship." That`s ship with a "P," no pun intended.

According to "E! Online," Marie even jokingly wiped up the stain. OK, that`s a little too much TMP, all right? Unfortunately, no one knows what the question was that caused Marie to lose control.
