JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL, HLN HOST: And tonight we`ve got an exclusive guest who was at the courthouse today when the Colorado massacre suspect heard the slew of charges against him.

But first, a driver leads an officer on a child chase before drawing his gun and taking direct aim at the police officer. We`ve got the incredible dash cam video along with startling new details about why the suspect may have been running from police.

VELEZ-MITCHELL (voice-over): Tonight, shocking video so outrageous you have to see it to believe it. A routine traffic stop turns deadly. Indiana cops say this man led them on a high-speed chase before turning a gun at the officer behind the wheel. Twelve shots in 16 seconds directly at the squad car. It`s something out of a movie and that`s just for starters as the suspect secret`s spill out. We`ll tell you what happened next.

Plus, Colorado massacre suspect James Holmes back in court. The man accused of killing 12 and injuring 58 others in a movie theater shooting spree now faces 142 charges.

Plus, new court documents revealed. Holmes was seeing a psychiatrist before the attack. The very doctor he allegedly sent that package to. So how did Holmes look today? We`ll analyze.

Then more bizarre twists and turns in the Jackson family saga. Why were Michael Jackson`s three kids at a concert for the very family members they were fighting with earlier in the week? Is it another attempt to gain control of the pop superstar`s will that leaves so much to the kids?

Plus, claims that will`s executors now want to ban Janet Jackson and Randy, Jermaine and Rebbie from the kids` California mansion. Is this war just getting started? I`m taking your call.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Good evening. I`m Jane Velez-Mitchell coming to you live.

Tonight, a dash cam video that looks like it`s right out of a movie, except it`s real. A crazed gunman shoots point-blank at a police officer, and as you watch it, it`s like you`re right there in the police car`s driver`s seat.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Put your hands out the window.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: It started as a routine traffic stop outside Indianapolis, and quickly turned into a wild car chase. Police say the suspect, 27-year- old James Lockhart hat a broken taillight. After speeding through a neighborhood he stops his car. He emerges with a gun and starts shooting, straight at the officer`s windshield.

The suspect fires 12 shots in just 16 seconds. He hit the police officer three times and he hit the officer`s police dog once. Thankfully he is expected to make a complete recovery. There is the heroic officer. There`s the suspect. The officer`s bullet-proof vest may have saved his life. Listen to his cries for help from inside the police cruiser.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: All right, buddy. Hang in there, all right.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I`m dying.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: No, you`re not, buddy. You`re not going to die.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Police say the suspect drove back to his home, picked up an ak-47 to add to the weapons and ammo already in his car. He took off again but police quickly cornered him. A shoot-out ensued and cops eventually shot the suspect dead as he reloaded his gun.

So why was this gun rung from a routine traffic stop? Cops say the secret is what was inside his trunk. Cops say he had an arsenal of weapons and drugs.

You know, when you see the dash cam footage it really hits home. The cops put their lives on the line every day, even during routine traffic stops. Because you never know what is going on with a person being pulled over.

Joining me, retired detective Steve Rogers. You were a cop. Would you agree this driver probably panicked when he saw the flashing red lights because cops say his trunk was full of drugs and guns? He didn`t know why the cops were pulling him over.

STEVE ROGERS, RETIRED DETECTIVE: Jane, what a chilling video. I could tell you that we learn in police academy that no traffic stop is routine. You never know who is going to get out of that car.

Now, I`ll tell you what boils my blood. And I`m sure you`ll touch upon this later. I understand this guy had a criminal record. And that`s a part of the problem we have in police work. A lot of these guys have violent backgrounds and these let them free. And look, we almost lost the life of a heroic cop. Thank God, we did it.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, let me go over his charges. In 2010, he served three months in jail on a drug charge. He was arrested in 2004 for assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.

So I got to go back to you, Steve. As a former police officer, let`s assume for a second if a cop had flagged him over and he had stopped, would you have run a background check, or would you just have given him a ticket for a broken taillight and let him go on his merry way? Was he panicking for a reason, or was it an irrational panic?

ROGERS: He panicked because he had that arsenals and drugs in his cars. And yes, we would actually call for a back-up unit. We would to a background check. Had he stayed calm, the officer probably would have never searched the trunk. It was a traffic violation. But he panicked, and look what happened.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Police say the suspect fired 12 shots in 16 seconds, hitting officer matt FOX and his police dog. Both are expected to survive, thank God. And then the suspect takes off to his home and grabs an ak-47, and by the way, took his dog as well from the house.

A search of his car reveal the rest of his arsenal. Five guns, including an assault rifles, scopes, ammo, a police scanner, knives, four machetes. He also had spice, aka, synthetic marijuana, along with a about a pound of marijuana inside the cooler packaged for sale.

Howard Samuels, talk to us about the problem with spice, the synthetic marijuana that is all over the streets of America.

HOWARD SAMUELS, ADDICTION SPECIALIST: All right, Jane. Spice is such a horrible, addictive, violent drug. It`s sold in head shops. It`s sold online. It`s a huge epidemic among our teenagers. And this drug is becoming more and more available because it`s legal. But it is dangerous. It creates violent behavior, hallucinations, delusions, panic attacks. But I must say that this is a violent individual in this case.

Now, the spice would have taken the violence to another level. I totally understand how this gentleman being on spice, how he would react like that. But this is a violent criminal to begin with. That is what is so vital to understand.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: And this is one of the rare times where you actually feel what it`s like to be an officer in a squad car as somebody comes after you. The Colorado massacre next.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Colorado shooting suspect James Holmes in court today.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Didn`t have much of a reaction. No reaction at all as the judge announced that he had 142 criminal counts filed against him.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Hundred and forty two counts, including first-degree murder.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: There were several survivors who were in the theater. Family members of victims.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It was very important to come today and see him as who he was. And there was a lot of anger. But he seemed very coherent to me.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: A newly released court document disclose that had Holmes, a 24-year-old dropout from a neuroscience Ph.D. program has been a patient of University of Colorado psychiatrist, Lyn Fenton (ph).

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: If he had specifically I`m going to go to this theater and blow it up, then, she had a duty to report, which he probably didn`t.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Factually I think it`s not going to be hard to prove he committed this act. So, the only real issue was, was he sane?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Tonight, stunning new information on the Colorado massacre suspect as he appears in court to hear the formal charges against him. And, in an exclusive interview, we are going to talk right now to the mother of one of the victims who said her daughter stood up to the shooter before she was shot to death. We have now learned that 24-year-old James Holmes was seeing a psychiatrist at the University of Colorado Denver. And it just so happens that psychiatrist, Doctor Lyn Fenton (ph) specializes in schizophrenia. This is the same psychologist James Holmes allegedly sent that mystery package to, that reportedly contained story about shootings and crude drawings of a gunman and his victim.

James Holmes now faces a whopping 142 charges, including 24 counts of first-degree murder and 116 charges of attempted murder. He`s facing two counts for every person killed or injured. Many of the victims and their relatives were in court today. Here is what they saw.

His reaction looked different because when we have seen him before, he looked like he was kind of spaced out or out of touch. He looked very, very alert today. And very aware of what was going on.

MARY ELLEN HANSEN, AUNT OF VICTIM ASHLEY MOSER: His reaction was different because when we have seen him before, he looks like he was kind his face down or out of touch. He looked very, very alert today and vey lucid as to what was going on.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Lawyers are fighting over the mystery package Holmes sent allegedly to a psychiatrist which she never actually got. The defense says this is frivolous information between a patient and their doctor. So prosecutors should not be able to see it. But prosecutors want it to show premeditation.

And right now, we are joined by the mother of shooting victim Rebecca Wingo who tragically died in the horror. Rebecca leaves behind two precious daughters, ages five and nine. Rebecca`s mother Shirley watched today`s hearing from the overflow room at the courthouse.

Shirley, our hearts go out to you. Thank you for joining us.

I have so much to ask you, but let me start with today`s hearing. What did you think and feel when you saw the suspect in court today, Shirley? Shirley, can you hear me?

SHIRLEY WYGAL, MOTHER OF VICTIM REBECCA WINGO (via telephone): Yes, I can hear you.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Yes. I want to start with today`s court hearing. What did you, what ran through you? What were your thoughts, your reaction to seeing this suspect in court today?

WYGAL: Well, I have a question.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: OK. Go ahead.

WYGAL: My question for you is --

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Oh, gosh. That`s a little disturbing. I don`t know if that was some kind of joke or some kind of problem. But you know, this is an absolute tragedy, and the idea that anybody would call us and try to make light of this is unconscionable and it makes me want to -- it makes me sick.

John Lieberman, HLN contributor. He was faced with two counts for every person who was killed and every person who was injured. And the reason is prosecutors want to make sure that they put this man away. And if they have two counts, that gives more options in terms of what they can try to convict him on.

JOHN LIEBERMAN, HLN CONTRIBUTOR: Absolutely. They`re dotting all their I`s and crossing all the T`s. One charge is a premeditated murder charge, and if for some reason the jury were to acquit on that set of charges, they would then have the fallback charges which in Colorado it`s called extreme indifference for life.

So in other words, any defendant who commits a crime, showing extreme indifference, that is their fall-back charge in this case. Prosecutors will soon decide whether or not to go forward with the death penalty.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Now I`m being told that we do have Shirley Wygal with us. That`s not the person we heard from just a little while ago. I want to check to make sure with my producers that we`re talking to Shirley Wygal. OK.

Shirley, there are no words, Shirley, for what has happened here. I am trying to feel your pain, but I certainly have no concept of what you`re going through right now. All I can say is my thoughts and prayers are you and your family.

You were in court today, I understand. Can you give us your sense of what it was like to be in the overflow courtroom and watch this and take a look at the suspect? What were the feelings and thoughts that ran through you, Shirley?

WYGAL: Well, it was the first time I have seen him because we still haven`t watched any media or read anything. And I was shocked. I was shocked to see him. I want shocked to see how composed he seemed. And I also was surprised that there`s nothing we can do about that hair.

It`s offensive. I just -- that really bothered me. And I know he was wearing a helmet when Rebecca had to look at him. And that`s good. Because that hair is scary. And yes, I don`t know what to think about him other than that I wish he had never been born.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: So what you`re saying to me is you find his hair offensive that it`s a reminder of the horror, and it`s a reminder of his -- the character that he allegedly masqueraded as. And you feel out of respect to the victims and their families, they should shave his head. Is that - I don`t want to misinterpret what you`re saying, Shirley. But, is that what you are saying essentially?

WYGAL: That would suit me fine.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I understand that you`re speaking now. That at the first hearing, you were not there. You were withdrawn. You were obviously in shock and in mourning and that now you`re speaking out as a form of therapy, which sometimes works. And I think that it makes sense that you might try to do that now. Is that correct? Are you speaking now because you think it helps you process the unimaginable?

WYGAL: No. That`s not correct.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: OK, tell us then.

WYGAL: I`m speaking out because Rebecca is Rebecca -- if someone that Rebecca ever met, which would then be a friend of hers, to be killed in that theater, Rebecca would have stood up and spoken out at every opportunity against whatever contributed to her friend dying.

And for my daughter and for her memory and her bravery, her years of service, a lifetime of good, I`m going to do that for her. I`m going to make sure that everybody knows that first of all, she stood up and looked death in the eye. She knew what was about to happen. And she was that way in life. And she would not have just rolled over.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Shirley, I understand your daughter served our nation in the air force for more than a decade. Tell us about how you daughter stood up to the shooter. Tell us. And I don`t want to say the details. But apparently -- you tell us. You tell us about that incident.

WYGAL: Well, I`ll tell you exactly. When I -- on Friday afternoon, when I finally got a report from an eyewitness inside the theater which came to me through my son Steven in Texas, from someone here in Denver, while I was out looking in the hospitals for Rebecca. And that report said that last seen she was unconscious and bleeding from her head and her torso.

So I didn`t know what the nature of those injuries were until I had to talk to the people who handled our celebration of her life and found out that, in fact, we were probably not going to be able to see her because her injury was the entire left side of her face.

So I asked a police officer later that night if I was correct in assuming that if it was her face that she was facing him. And he said, yes. That`s absolutely an assumption you might make. And knowing my daughter, that`s exactly what she did. You know. She was fearless in every way and I have no doubt in my mind she might have been fearful for a few seconds or hopefully not minutes, but I know in the end she faced it just like she faced everything else.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Who do you blame for this, and are you planning on filing any lawsuits?

WYGAL: Who do I blame? Who do I blame for something so random and bizarre and senseless? I don`t know. Who`s liable? Who should have been aware? Who should have been more security conscious? Who should have made sure that my daughter and all the people in that theater, not just mine, all the people in the theater could go and pay their money and sit and be entertained? I don`t know who to blame. My daughter`s gone. My one and only daughter, the one that I thought would be with me until I die and take care of me and love me, and I loved her. And that`s over. And I don`t know who to blame. My daughter is gone. My one and only daughter, the one that I thought would be with me until I died and take care of me and love me and I loved her and that`s over. And I don`t know who to blame.

But if there is anyone who should be been held - who should be help professionally liable, then, I think they should be held liable.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, Shirley, again our hearts go out to you. Your daughter was a beautiful, beautiful young woman. She served however nation in the air force for 11 years. Will you stay with us, and we will come back in two minutes? We must take a break. We are required to, but we will ask you more. We have many more questions for you.

And again, our hearts are with you, Shirley. We`ll be back in a moment.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I think the guy is a coward, and seeing him just confirmed that 100 percent. He looked defeated. And he knows that he`s not the one with power anymore. That is us.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: We are talking with Shirley Wygal, an amazingly courageous woman who is speaking out, giving voice to her daughter who tragically died in this unimaginable horror of this Colorado massacre.

Rebecca Wingo served our nation in the air force for 11 years, and her mother has been telling us how she courageously stood up to the gunman and came face-to-face with him. And that`s one of the reasons why she -- she died in this sick, unimaginable incident that sadly is just one of the worst mass murders in recent history.

Shirley, I understand you have a rescue dog that has been helping you deal with this unbelievable grief that you must be experiencing, and you tried to take the rescue dog to court today. What happened?

WYGAL: Well, when I walked in, they said, oh no. No dogs. Due to someone might be allergic and, of course, I understand that. But I have taken him everywhere. A good friend of Rebecca (INAUDIBLE) had arranged for us to all eat in downtown Denver the other night while the family was here. And we took him in there. And they made us welcome in one of the nicest restaurants in Denver. And he just sits in my lap. I can`t imagine going to court without him.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Well, how dare they try to stop you from going in with a rescue dog and, Shirley, you can get certification for that dog to be a service dog, and you can legally go with that dog everywhere. It`s a tragedy. It`s a sad fact of our society that you have to get a special, you know, permit to have a dog be a service dog. Clearly the creature that offers unconditional love is helping you survive the unthinkable. And I personally think they should have not done that.

Let me ask you. Are you planning any lawsuits?

WYGAL: I have engaged an attorney. I don`t know what will come of it. I don`t know. I do know that I am. I have no -- I`m going to leave that to the attorney. If there is a professional liability -- when I was in college, I learned that psychiatrists have a legal responsibility. If she did not meet her legal responsibility, then certainly I think that`s a liable on her part.

If the theater did not make sure there was security for an event such as went on in the wee hours of Friday morning then certainly they were liable for the security of my daughter. That`s all I know as a layperson. My attorney will know what to do.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Shirley, I want to thank you for taking the time. Our condolences. At times like this I can really find no words, accept to say that we just -- our hearts go out to you and to your family, to your son. We can see your daughter right now. She`s a beautiful, beautiful young woman. And we are all, all lessened by her passing.

WYGAL: Yes, we are. All of us.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Thank you so much.

WYGAL: There`s a big loss in the world. And not just Rebecca; everyone in that theater that died, those were all great people. And everyone who`s injured and their families do not have to deal with it forever. Those were great people.

The only bad person in the whole place was the one that had a gun. And we just have to do something. We just have to do better.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I agree with you. Shirley, thank you so much for joining us tonight. Please keep us posted. And hang on to that dog. Hang on to that little rescue dog who offers such unconditional love. Thank you, ma`am.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It was rumored that she had been kidnapped by her children. Here`s what she told ABC News regarding where she`s been.

KATHERINE JACKSON, MOTHER OF MICHAEL JACKSON: I was still thinking about the children. And I still worry about them but they`re fine.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Unequivocally, this looks like a hostage video.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: There was this tweet from Michael Jackson`s son accusing the family of lying.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: What is going on in the Jackson family?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What is going on with the Jackson family?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: What the heck is going on here?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Tonight brand new developments have us asking, are the Jacksons just re-drawing the battle lines in this public and bitter family feud? The Jackson clan locked in a war over Michael`s will and the custody of the three kids.

But in a surprising twist, Katherine Jackson dragged all three of the kids to the Jackson Brothers ironically entitled Unity Tour Concert. Jermaine Jackson addressed the crowd and his family. Listen to this.

JERMAINE JACKSON, JACKSON 5: Family is very important. We all have families and we`re a family. Sometimes it seems to get complicated sometimes because we`re all the but we don`t think the same. But whatever happens, and whatever has been said, we`re one. The Jackson family is one. And we`re one family. And we will heal. I promise you.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: As someone said, awkward. Even though things look to be patched up from the outside, a new e-mail has just been uncovered that could really throw a wrench in this peace treaty. The e-mail from the executors purportedly written last week when Katherine was still out of touch with the grandkids says certain Jackson family members are completely barred from the kids` California mansion. On that list are Janet Jackson, herself, Randy and Jermaine and Rebbie; the same names on the letter that fights and contests Michael`s will and calls it a fraud.

Straight out to CNN analyst, Roland Martin; you got a copy of this e- mail, and of course, the family just proposed co-guardianship for the kids between Katherine and TJ Jackson.

But tell us about this e-mail. Does it change the equation?

ROLAND MARTIN, CNN ANALYST: Well, what the executors say that because of this fight that took place last Monday that TJ and his attorneys wanted this particular list, if you will, to know who can and cannot come on. And so then, let`s say yesterday, they say, well, things have changed. Well guess what? They then send a statement out today. And CNN is actually reporting, stating that TJ as well as the estate can amend the list to determine who can actually come on the premises.

And so they`re saying, it`s now up to TJ. Now earlier in the day Charles Schultz, TJ`s attorney, he said that Katherine, she can decide who she wants to talk to, interact with, come and go. And so it`s all rather confusing. The bottom line is the estate clearly, clearly wants to be able to exercise some control because of all the drama from last week that took place.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, I want to try to go back to the infamous now surveillance video of Paris. You see her here. She`s 14 along with her older brother and younger brother; and Janet Jackson getting in a faceoff at the same mansion you`re talking about, the Calabasas mansion because Paris had been tweeting some things that were saying basically, "where`s my grandma". And Janet, who is contesting the will, may not have wanted her to tweet those things.

So essentially what the executors may be saying is hey, Janet and the others who are contesting the will can`t be there because look at this.

Roland one follow up question --

MARTIN: Again, Jane --

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Go ahead.

MARTIN: They`re claiming -- they`re claiming for them not -- that they sent this out because of the altercation, because see, that`s just a video. That was an actual fight between Trent and Jermaine and Randy that is not on video tape, the ruckus that actually took place. They said that was the reason why they sent that list of who can and cannot come on the property.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: All right. Now, I want to go to Jen Heger, assistant managing editor, RadarOnline, as we show some video of Janet Jackson for "Son of a Gun" from YouTube. Why, Jen Heger, would Janet Jackson get involved in this mess? She`s successful. She`s worth a lot of money. Why is she dragging her name through the -- well, why is she getting involved? Let`s put it that way.

JEN HEGER, ASSISTANT MANAGING EDITOR, RADARONLINE: Sources told RadarOnline.com last week that the reason Janet finally agreed to enter into this very public battle is because her brother, Randy, had been pressuring her for a very long time. And they felt the only way they were going to have any credibility going forward with this new public relations campaign to have the executors overthrown would be if Janet joined.

Now, one has to wonder if Janet is regretting that decision now because fans have seen her in a totally different light. We`ve seen Janet trying to get a cell phone away from her niece. We have text messages allegedly between Prince and Janet Jackson, where Janet Jackson says do not let the grandkids talk to their legal guardian, their grandmother, Katherine Jackson at the time.

So it`s very puzzling as to why Janet would agree to go along with this. But we`re told that Randy finally broke her down and they are extremely close.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Alan Duke, CNN Wire entertainment editor, you`ve been all over this from the very beginning. What have you learned? What is the latest as far as -- let`s say the side that represents Katherine Jackson?

ALAN DUKE, CNN WIRE ENTERTAINMENT EDITOR: First of all I have been told by at least three people that familiar with it and have seen that there`s actually video of that altercation inside the house. Whether the police got it in part of their investigation, we don`t know. But I doubt if it will ever see the light of day if Katherine Jackson has anything to do with it.

What`s happening right now is Katherine Jackson`s lawyer and TJ`s lawyer are drawing up that petition amendment. They`re going to present it to the judge, and perhaps as soon as this week will have a decision on if Katherine Jackson will return as the co-guardian of these three kids.

It`s kind of quiet now, except for a lot of tweeting out there and some posts online from Randy Jackson and some others upset about that e- mail from the estate, saying they can`t go to their mother`s house.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It was not necessarily the stuff of fairy tales. Estrella Carrera married the father of her youngest child at the courthouse Friday. On Sunday if there was a honeymoon it was long over.

Officers arrived here at her apartment in Burbank. She apparently failed to pick up her kids. They found her dead, with many stab wounds, in the bathtub.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Tonight on "JVM Most Wanted", help us catch a wanted suspect. May 11th, 2012 should have been the happiest day of Estrella Carrera`s life, wedding day -- wedding day.

Estrella and her husband Arnaldo Jimenez spent the night celebrating in Chicago. But when Estrella was a no-show the next day to pick up her kids, her sisters Jasmine called the cops. Cops found Estrella`s body in her apartment bathtub, still in her wedding dress. She`s been stabbed.

Estrella`s husband, Arnaldo Jimenez, is the prime suspect in the killing, and they believe that he may have fled to Mexico.

I want to go out to Jasmine Carrera, the sister of this murdered woman. Jasmine, I`m so sorry for you and your family. What everybody says when they read about this case is how do you go from celebrating a wedding to something like this, where the groom is basically being sought for the murder of the bride? What was their relationship like, Jasmine?

JASMINE CARRERA, SISTER OF ESTRELLA CARRERA: Turbulent, at best. And that would be --

VELEZ-MITCHELL: So why did she marry him?

(CROSSTALK)

CARRERA: That`s still a question we`re still asking ourselves every day.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: And now we`re hearing that he may have fled to Mexico. Does he have ties down there?

CARRERA: Yes, he still has family members that still live there. So that`s where we think that he is.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: If you can stand by for a moment -- Jon Leiberman, HLN contributor, you brought us this story. Thank you. We want to help find the bad guy. What do you know?

JON LEIBERMAN, HLN CONTRIBUTOR: This is a very catchable fugitive, Jane. And our thoughts and prayers go out to the whole family. I mean this should have never happened like that.

The FBI believes and local police believe that this guy snapped in a rage after they got married. They got into a very vicious fight, and then he fled.

What we know is this, and this is why I say he`s catchable and we can help get justice for this family. This guy still owns property in Texas, according to the FBI. And he has relatives in North Carolina and still lots of ties to both of those areas in addition to Mexico.

It only takes one tip. It only takes one person to pick up the phone, do the right thing, and say they have seen this man; kudos to the FBI for getting involved in this case, as well.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: All right. Well, when we come back we`re going to talk to Captain Joe Ford because apparently police say that the groom told a relative, "Oh, we had a very bad fight." So this is not a big leap here. Although he hasn`t been convicted, we do want to bring him to justice.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Estrella Carrera was a hard-working Spanish translator, mother of two and she was found stabbed to death in her wedding dress after marrying this guy, who is the prime suspect. Captain Joe Ford, what do you know about this suspect and what are you doing to find him?

CAPT. JOE FORD, BURBANK, IL POLICE DEPT: Well, first of all Jane, thank you very much for having us on. We appreciate you getting this story back out to everybody`s television so we can actually find this guy.

I agree with John, he is definitely, definitely findable and we can bring this to closure. We feel right now that he is with relatives down in Mexico in the state of Durango. We have good reason to believe he`s still there and that he is not concerned too much about apprehension.

We do have feet on the ground there and we`re looking for tips. We`re looking for people who see him, who -- a lot of people from the Chicago land area are from the little village of La Campana and Durango, Mexico and they go back to visit their family. We`re looking for them if they see them to let us know, call the Burbank Police Department.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Absolutely. And as we sign off for this story and go on to the next -- Jasmine Carrera, our hearts go out to you. And we know you`re doing everything you can to take care for your sister`s 9-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son. And we will find this guy. We will do everything we can.
