Katherine Jackson Duped by Her Own Kids?; Countdown: Women Who Cheat; Interview with Tallia Storm

Aired August 03, 2012 - 23:00   ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

A.J. HAMMER, HOST: Tonight, Katherine Jackson duped by her own kids. She was sent to a spa with no phone, no Internet, and no way of knowing her grandkids were desperately worried about her. Tonight, Katherine reveals the real story of what happened when she mysteriously disappeared, but was she duped by her own children as they feuded over Michael Jackson`s will?

Hello, I`m A.J. Hammer. Tonight, the SHOWBIZ COUNTDOWN, women who cheat. "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart is still facing big time backlash over her caught-on-camera make-out session with the married director of her latest film. Now, she may be the most recent female star caught cheating, but she is certainly not alone. So where does Kristen`s scandal rank in SHOWBIZ COUNTDOWN of women who cheat?

First tonight, Katherine duped? There are brand new questions about Katherine Jackson`s controversial disappearance a couple of weeks ago. You remember, the one that sparked a missing person`s report and ended ten days later with Katherine resurfacing at an Arizona spa? You know, the one that led to her losing guardianship of Michael`s three kids? Well, now Katherine is back as guardian. And it seems like we are just now getting to the bottom of this very disturbing drama.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Today, life in the house of Jackson is back to normal. At least as normal as life in the house of Jackson can get. A judge has restored Michael Jackson`s mother Katherine to her status as guardian of Michael`s three kids.

ALEXIS TERESZCUK, RADAR ONLINE: She`s actually going to be sharing custody with their cousin T.J. Jackson.

HAMMER: Katherine`s guardianship was temporarily stripped away last week after a bizarre incident where she mysteriously disappeared from the home she shares with Michael`s kids and turned up at a resort in Arizona. An impromptu trip apparently planned by four of her children.

KATHERINE JACKSON: There are rumors going around about me that I`ve been kidnapped and kept against my will.

HAMMER: Katherine appeared on ABC last week, ten days into her so-called disappearance. With her stern-faced children looking on, Katherine read a prepared statement denying she`d been kidnapped.

K. JACKSON: My children would never do a thing like that, holding me against my will. And that is very stupid for people to think that.

HAMMER: Today, Katherine Jackson is altering her tune. In an explosive change, she is now claiming she was duped into leaving her grandchildren and was cut off from the outside world in Arizona. And while Katherine doesn`t name any names, it`s clear four of her famous children are being blamed.

TERESZCUK: It was Jermaine, Janet, Randy, and Rebbie. Those four children were the ones who were controlling her. This is really scary that these kids were able to do this to their mom.

HAMMER: "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" has obtained this sworn declaration Katherine Jackson filed as part of her attempt to restore her guardianship of Michael`s kids. In it, she says she had originally planned to travel to New Mexico on July 15th to see her boys perform at a concert there. But instead of going to New Mexico, Katherine says she was advised to fly from California to Arizona on what she thought were doctor`s orders. Once there, Katherine says she was taken to that resort in Tucson and quickly isolated.

TERESZCUK: When she got to the spa, her cell phone was taken away and her iPad was taken away. She was given a room where the telephone did not work and then she said the television didn`t work either.

HAMMER: That`s a big contraction from what she told ABC during her Arizona stay.

JACKSON: I just gave up my phone. I didn`t want to hear -- have any phone calls and -- while I was here.

HAMMER: Meanwhile, back in California, Michael`s kids had no idea where their grandmother was. 14-year old Paris tweeted that her grandmother was missing.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: She`s doing well. But we have not spoken with her. We have not talked with her. And I don`t know where my mother -- I don`t know where my mother is.

HAMMER: Three of Katherine`s sons apparently weren`t in on their siblings` plans for their mother. They talked to "The Insider."

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Whenever doctor said I can`t talk to my mother, you call me. I`m finished. I`m sorry.

HAMMER: It just so happens the four Jacksons who were in on their mom`s Arizona stay had joined an effort to overthrow the overseers of Michael Jackson`s $1 billion fortune. Most of which Michael left to his mother and his kids. Michael`s siblings got nothing.

TERESZCUK: It seems like it was all part of a larger plan of the four kids to get their hands on Michael`s fortune.

HAMMER: The whole thing ended when Katherine managed to overhear a television.

TERESZCUK: She heard a report that she was missing. She said she had no idea that people were worried about her.

HAMMER: Katherine quickly returned to California and put the wheels in motion to share guardianship of Michael`s kids with her adult grandson T.J. As for the four Jacksons who planned her Arizona stay, they were promptly banned from Katherine`s home in California.

TERESZCUK: This was the last thing that Michael wanted to happen in his family. And the fact that his siblings are doing this to his mother and to his children is just really frightening for that family.

HAMMER: Well, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT did reach out to the Jackson family for a response to the explosive details in Katherine Jackson`s court declaration, we did not receive a response in time for the show.

Moving now from Jackson family drama to "Hollywood Obsessed!" The world, of course, is turning its attention now to the new stars that are emerging from the Summer Olympics. Even some of the biggest celebrities on the planet are getting in on the games sending personal tweets praising America`s athletes from Oprah Winfrey to Justin Bieber. Hollywood is star struck. But with these new claimed fame, just how can these new stars keep up the momentum and really make the most out of this life-changing turn of events? Who better to ask than the man who has his hand on the pulse of the world of sports. Stephen A. Smith of ESPN joining me here in New York. Great to have you here, Steven.

STEPHEN A. SMITH, ESPN: What`s going on?

HAMMER: So, gymnast Gabby Douglas won the gold. Now she`s a household name. Legendary gymnast Mary Lou Retton really knows all too well what that`s like. And she just told Oprah the moment she won the gold back in 1984, her life changed in an instant. Let`s watch that.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MARY LOU RETTON, GYMNAST: The phone was calling off the hook. I was traveling the world not to compete anymore, but to do commercials and do speaking engagements and do, you know, cameo spots in movies. And I was having the time of my life.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes, to Mary Lou`s point, Stephen, I mean the opportunities really just start to pour in once they have these victories. How lucrative can all of that Olympic gold be for these stars?

SMITH: Well, here is all you need to know. There was a report that came out today that Gabby Douglas has the potential to make about $90 million.

HAMMER: $90 million?

SMITH: About $90 million.

HAMMER: Holy smokes.

SMITH: Which you are talking about, we know -- you know, as a gymnast, we know how sensational she was particularly last night in her performance and obviously when her team won the gold medal the other night. But the reality is that if you`ve got that smile, if you are well spoken, if you are somebody that is successfully ingratiated yourself with the American public, whereas they are looking at you and you`re a friendly face --

HAMMER: Yes.

SMITH: -- you are somebody they feel they can market, then they`re going to pounce on you immediately. As an Olympian, as opposed to an NFL, Major League Baseball or NBA player or somebody like that, you are an Olympian, so you get an opportunity to compete once every four years. So you really have to capitalize on that. You ink an endorsement deal that has either a degree of longevity to it or where you can maximize it monetarily in the initial stages or the initial aftermath of the Olympics. So if you`re Gabby Douglas, you want to be seen on the scene almost instantly once the Olympics are over.

HAMMER: Yes.

SMITH: Because you`re still fresh in the minds of the American and the viewing public. That`s what you want to do. And if you can ink a multitude of endorsement deals at that time, then it`s something that can carry over. In my opinion you make sure you`re seen immediately after the Olympics and obviously periodically over the next four years. And then as the Olympics are approaching again in 2016 you make sure that whatever endorsement deal you signed now is something that will be able to put you in that position - -

HAMMER: Sure.

SMITH: -- at that time where you`re seen around then.

HAMMER: And I would say, it seems to me from what you`re saying that the Olympics really transcend other sports. Because it`s really all American in a way.

SMITH: It`s patriotism.

HAMMER: Than everything else.

SMITH: Listen. Listen. I`m a basketball guy. I don`t watch gymnastics. Never.

(LAUGHTER)

SMITH: Except during the Olympics.

HAMMER: Of course!

SMITH: I could care less about swimming. But I know who Mark Spitz is, and I know who Michael Phelps is. Track and field is something that interests me to some degree. But do I watch it on a Saturday afternoon? Maybe if I am flicking the channels and I run into it by accident. But I`m really not interested. Yet, the Olympics roll around and I still remember Carl Lewis. OK? So you think about those things --

HAMMER: Yes.

SMITH: And you recognize the importance of those events. Yes, swimming, yes gymnastics, yes, track and field are sports that resonate with us. But it`s usually around Olympic time, more so than any other time. So, when you know that`s the reality, then obviously, you`ve got to maximize your potential. You`ve got to pounce on those endorsement opportunities when they present themselves.

HAMMER: Well, that is also why -- you know, you`re a basketball guy watching gymnastics. And that`s why all of Hollywood is tuning in too. I want to read a couple of the tweets that we are seeing from Hollywood. One from Lil Wayne. He writes, "High praises to Michael Phelps." Taylor Swift tweeted "So blown away by Missy Franklin." Beyonce to Gabby Douglas. "A thrill to watch you." How tough will it be for these stars to hold on to their newfound star power if they don`t get deals and get out there right away?

SMITH: Well, it`s always tough to hold on to it, but remember it`s how you lose the star power that counts. Because you can monetize yourself. You can really maximize the potential if you act correctly. Again, you`ve got to look good. You have to speak well. And you have to make sure that you stay out of the news for all the wrong reasons.

HAMMER: Yes.

SMITH: You don`t want anything that`s going to cast dispersions on your reputation, the name that you`ve built for yourself. Because Madison Avenue`s attractive -- attraction to you in large part is due to the image that you create.

HAMMER: Yes.

SMITH: Gabby Douglas when we look at her, we do not just see a 16-year-old girl. We see somebody with a magnificent smile.

HAMMER: All American.

SMITH: That America wants to welcome into their home.

HAMMER: Great work ethic. It`s perfect. We leave it there. Steve A. Smith, great insight. Thank you so much.

SMITH: No problem.

HAMMER: It`s great to see you. Make sure you catch Stephen weekdays on "First Take" on ESPN2 and afternoons on ESPN radio 98.7 FM.

As we move on tonight, the Kristen Stewart cheating shocker has us all blown away. But was it more shocking because she cheated on Robert Pattinson or because she`s a woman? Well, tonight we`re counting down the top five women whose cheating scandals shocked us the most. Will Kristen Stewart take the top spot?

And tan mom, bronze no more. Tonight, the brand new photo of the mom who was arrested for allegedly taking her child into a tanning salon. Remember her? Her pale makeover revealed coming up next. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Did you see this? It`s toned town tan mom. We`re now seeing this, the first photos of tan mom Patricia Krentcil without her tan. Of course, she is the woman who made headlines for her overly tanned skin. And she`s now debuting for brand-new look. The New Jersey mom was arrested back in May for allegedly letting her six-year-old daughter into a tanning booth at a tanning salon, and she`s decided to take up "In Touch Weekly"s challenge, to stop tanning for an entire month! And can you believe -- She did it. With me now is Kim Serafin, the senior editor with "In Touch Weekly."

So tan mom tells "In Touch Weekly" that she feels -- and this was her quote, Kim, she said I feel weird and pale without my tan. And she admits that she misses her daily visits to the salon. She insists, however, she`s done with serial tanning. I think she looks great, relatively speaking. I`m hoping she sticks with her promise. But what`s the real story? Is she really done with the extreme tanning?

KIM SERAFIN, SR. EDITOR, "IN TOUCH WEEKLY" You know, I think so. She was really up for this challenge from "In Touch." She really looks good. You look at that -- hopefully she hears all of us talking about her, hopefully she hears all of these news reports of people saying she looks great, she looks younger, she looks fabulous. She looks healthier too, I think. So I think she really is done. She did say she was going to go on a vacation but hide in a hut, she`d be on the beach, but she`d be hiding from the sun. You know, look, if she`s doing a little self-tanning, I think she said she had a little self-tanner. She still looks good. Everyone can get great sun, look like you`ve been out --

HAMMER: Yes.

SERAFIN: -- in the sun without exposing yourself to wrinkles and cancer risks. So, I think she`s really up for it. Hopefully again, she`s hearing us --

HAMMER: I just showed the split screen with her from when she was tanned. Holy smokes. And the kids --

SERAFIN: I didn`t put any (inaudible).

HAMMER: Say yes or no. She`s not bringing the kid to the tanning salon?

SERAFIN: No, she is absolutely not. And she didn`t -- she even said the time they`re talking about her child was not even with her. And when her child went with her, she sat in the room, she was not in the tanning bed.

HAMMER: We will leave it there. Kim, as always, good to see you. Thank you.

Well, what do you get when you add Brad Pitt, Ray Liotta and James Gandolfini in one movie? The answer -- a comedy that was well worth the way. Boys are set to star in a new movie "Killing Them Softly." Pitt plays a jacketed enforcer hired by the mob to track down two crooks who robbed a mob-protected poker game. That`s a no-no. Liotta plays a card game dealer, and Gandolfini`s character helps Pitt carry out the dirty work. The movie doesn`t hit theaters until October 19th. But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has your very first look right now.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: All right. (inaudible). Is that what you have got? Dish washing gloves? We`re going to look like a bunch of amateurs.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Who`s this?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It`s a sawed-off shotgun. It`s what you asked for, didn`t you?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I think it`s going to kill everybody in the room.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Mark Drattner`s (ph) game was hit a couple nights ago.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Give it all up and nobody gets hurt . It`s only money.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: So where do we go from here?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We start with (inaudible).

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: They are not going to OK anything major here.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What does that mean?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: They just want you to talk to him.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Hey, what`s going on?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Talk to him?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Show him around a little. (inaudible) because they don`t want him hurt.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Let`s have a beer.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We got the two kids.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: One of them just starts bragging about how he just knocked over this guy`s game for 100k. I don`t know what is it with these guys. They can`t keep their mouth shut about nothing.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Goes up like (inaudible), I love it.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: So who is going to do it, you?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I need Mickey Fallon (ph).

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: New York Mickey?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: So what do you want me to do?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I don`t know if it`s right for two guys.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It`s a two-man job.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I come here every day.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I know.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I don`t know you.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: If you guys know me.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You`re in a position very few bad guys ever get in. You have choices.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I don`t know if I can do this.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You made a mistake and you`re going to make things right.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You ever killed anyone?

(CROSSTALK)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I got you up here to do something, remember?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I don`t take orders from you.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Get out of the car now!

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I didn`t do nothing.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Do what you got to do, right?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You know, that`s the business of relationships.

(CROSSTALK)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We`re living in America. In America, you`re on your own.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: That looks awesome.

Well, we move on tonight to women who cheat. Most cheating headlines come from some of Hollywood`s leading men, but what about the women who cheat? I am talking about Leann Rimes, Britney Spears, even Tori Spelling. These ladies have proven it`s not just men who cheat. But which one of them had the most surprising cheating scandal of all? Well, SHOWBIZ is counting down the top 5 women whose cheating scandals rocked us. Which one of these unfaithful females shocked us the most? You will find out. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Tonight, Ashton Kutcher`s romantic reunion. Surely by now you have seen the photos of Ashton getting all cozy with his one-time costar from "That 70`s Show," Mila Kunis. But are they a good match? And is this two- some possibly hurting Ashton`s reputation?

Joining me now with the exclusive reputation rundown in Hollywood is Howard Bragman, vice chairman of Reputation.com.

All right, Howard, so Ashton`s cheating. You had Demi`s reported rehab. Really not a good year so far for Ashton Kutcher. But Reputation.com appears to have his numbers up this week. Does he have his budding relationship with Mila Kunis to thank for that?

HOWARD BRAGMAN, REPUTATION.COM: He really does. People like this pairing. You know, they like that they`ve known each other a long time. They`ve gotten through a lot of the -- a lot of stuff you do, the uncomfortable parts of relationship. And they`ve really settled into a comfortable place. And people are really responding. He`s way in positive territory for the first time this year, A.J.

HAMMER: Good for him. I am just still confused, should I call them Kutchnis or Ashla? I haven`t figured out their name yet. But let`s move to a star who`s having a good week as usual, Beyonce. The surprise here is that it`s not for her singing or any of her blogging. What is she doing right now to get her reputation up, Howard?

BRAGMAN: They always love Beyonce on the Internet. And what they really love is that she`s going to be directing and starring in her own documentary. So we get a little behind the scenes. We get to know how she`s thinking, how she does all the magic that she does. And she`s also a U.N. humanitarian global ambassador. So people are really responding. She`s zooming in positive territory.

(CROSSTALK)

HAMMER: Good. Smart moves. Very, very happy to see her doing that. Very quickly, got to tell me why John Mayer is down again? Is it really because he`s been seen out and about with Katy Perry?

BRAGMAN: It`s really because he`s been seen out and about with every attractive single woman in Hollywood between 25 and 45. And they`re just not buying it anymore. They`re like, come on, John. It`s just not working for him. And he`s in negative territory again, not surprisingly.

HAMMER: Not surprising at all. John, I don`t know what to advise you to do to get things to start turning around. Well, call Howard Bragman, he`ll figure it out. Howard, always good to see you, thanks.

Well, tonight we move to Kristen Stewart and her shocking cheating scandal, which took the world by surprise. But is it even more surprising because she`s a woman who cheated on her man? And how does K-Stew, her cheating shocker stack up against other cheating Hollywood women? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is counting down the top five women whose cheating scandals shocked us all. The question tonight, ponder this, think about it, will Kristen Stewart possibly take the top spot? Will it be somebody else? You`re going to find out next. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Right now on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, Hollywood`s most shocking cheating women. Cheating men may grab all the headlines, but plenty of iconic female celebrities have also been heartbreakers. (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We could end this now and no one would get hurt.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Oh yes? I think if we ended this now, I`d get hurt.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: So no matter what, someone gets hurt?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Maybe not. Maybe we`ll get tired of each other.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: God, hope I get tired of you.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Those were scenes from the 2002 movie "Unfaithful," starring Diane Lane as a wife who has a sexy tryst with a French stranger. A lot of women loved that movie, but are women less likely to be forgiven for infidelity in real life? Oh, yes, we know about the Jesses, and the Tigers, and the Ashtons. But what about the sexy heartbreakers who crush their men`s hearts and made them suffer public international shame? Well, tonight we`re counting down the top five women whose cheating scandals shocked us. But which will be No. 1?

Kicking off our countdown at No. 5, Kristen Stewart`s steamy rendezvous with the married director Rupert Sanders. Now, the latest reports are Kristen did not have sex with the director, but you know, whatever the case, Kristen got busted with pictures plastered all over the tabloids.

With me in New York tonight, Noel Biderman. He`s the founder and CEO of Ashleymadison.com. That`s the dating site for people looking for extramarital affairs. Also with me, Siggy Flicker. She is a relationship expert, matchmaker and the star of VH1`s "Why Am I Still Single?" And so many people are shocked that she cheated on him.

Now, Noel, I know you must have stats on this. From your experience is it really that unusual for women to be the cheaters?

NOEL BIDERMAN, FOUNDER, ASHLEYMADISON.COM: Absolutely not. They are actually driving this wave of infidelity. Their first jump, women? The workplace. That`s when they first started having affairs en masse. The Internet is now the second big jump, and they are starting to behave more and more like men.

HAMMER: And that`s why your company does so well. It`s unbelievable. But, Siggy, then explain to me why it seems so much more shocking when we hear about a woman, particularly a woman in Hollywood, cheating on a man versus the opposite. Because we`re never really that surprised when it`s the man.

SIGGY FLICKER, VH1`S "WHY AM I STILL SINGLE": Well, I think it`s shocking in this case, with Kristen, because Kristen still is in her honeymoon phase. She`s young. She`s 22 years old. He was ready to give her a ring. Now, this person that she cheated with, he`s married. There is a lot of times when you are married, there could be a disconnect in the marriage. You grow old of being with the same person.

But here`s my concern. Everybody knows ABC. Everybody knows the language. When there`s a disconnect in a relationship, all somebody has to do -- one of the people involved has to say, listen, I`m unhappy right now. I think that we should take a separation and go our separate ways. Why do you have to cheat on somebody --

BIDERMAN: That`s an idealistic notion. It`s not that women cheat any less than men. It`s that they`re better at not getting caught. Sometimes they don`t carry the same economic burdens. They`re not using their credit cards as often, they`re not booking the hotel rooms. And they are just smarter and savvier about it. But women behave just like men all the time when given the opportunity. That`s what you`re seeing. So it`s a societal belief that leads us to be, oh, we`re shocked. But we shouldn`t be.

HAMMER: But it is truthfully, it is more surprising when we hear about the women than when we hear about the men. I mean, I can`t tell you the last time we heard about a guy cheating. Yes, we`re surprised, but are we shocked? Not usually. And the female cheaters in Hollywood certainly have been around long before there was the Kristen tryst.

That brings us to No. 4 tonight.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Yes, cry me a river. Long before Kristen and Rob, the young Hollywood cheating scandal that truly rocked us was Britney Spears stepping out on Justin Timberlake. Britney allegedly cheated with a backup dancer, leading to the end of Brit`s three-year relationship with J.T. Justin cried himself a river after their split and he produced the ultimate revenge video there.

Noel, did Justin really have to dump Britney and sing that song and make that video about it just to save face? I kind of think he did in a way.

BIDERMAN: I think interestingly enough, men are much less forgiving of potential infidelity in the relationship, as opposed to women. Women do tend to forgive their partners a lot more often than men do when physical intimacy ends up, you know, bleeding over.

FLICKER: It`s not a matter of who cheated on whom. Whoever is the one who cheated is going to have to end up dealing with the karma. And Britney Spears had five years of -- negative five years until she found her way back.

BIDERMAN: This is Hollywood. This is about power. You`ll see Kristen has sort of emerged now as the alpha in this whole thing. She had the affair. She did it behind his back. He was the more popular celebrity. She`s going to turn into the more popular celebrity because of this behavior pattern.

FLICKER: No, she`s going to be known to be the stupid celebrity. Not the smart one. She lost a good man.

BIDERMAN: We`ll see.

FLICKER: We`ll see. Cheating -- doesn`t matter, he cheated, she cheated.

BIDERMAN: You don`t know if he`s a good man. You don`t know what the behind closed doors--

(CROSSTALK)

FLICKER: I know for a fact he`s a good man.

HAMMER: Listen, karma`s a b. We know that to be true no matter where it plays out in life, but let`s move on right now, because we must get to our the No. 3 spot. America`s sweetheart becomes a heartbreaker. Meg Ryan`s on- set affair with Russell Crowe. This happened back in 2000. They were starring together in "Proof of Life." Meg was still married at the time to Dennis Quaid. Meg divorced in 2001 from Dennis. Later claimed that Quaid had been a long time cheater. Back in 2008, Meg Ryan told "In Style" magazine her affair and divorce were, as she put it, incredibly liberating. She said, "I was utterly free. I didn`t have to care about what people thought."

Now, Noel, I think that women in Hollywood do feel like Meg did after she had that affair. It kind of becomes the first day of the rest of their lives. And a lot of them are unapologetic for it as a result.

BIDERMAN: Especially in that instance. If it was indeed a reciprocal affair, meaning that her partner strayed first and this is something that had been a long time building, that becomes a reason enough for a lot of these women to pursue an affair.

HAMMER: Now, Siggy, the thing is, let`s talk about that as it applies to Kristen Stewart. I don`t think that Kristen Stewart -- I get the impression she actually really thinks she screwed up. And I don`t think she`s saying this is the first day of the rest of my life. I think she has nothing but regret right now.

FLICKER: Listen, with Meg -- what happened with Meg is that -- and I agree with Noel on this one. With Kristen, why it`s shocking, it`s not because she`s a woman who cheated. It`s because she`s young and in love. She had no reasons to cheat on Robert. She had no reasons to do it. It was a stupid move on her part. She wasn`t married to him for 10 years. He was getting ready to propose to her. For her to have an affair with a married man was stupid on her part. She made a mistake.

BIDERMAN: She`s human. She`s working in a really intense environment, a ton of pressure. That person that she`s working with is charismatic, a leader, it`s a superior. She fell into the trap that so many people do, which is they have a workplace affair. It`s very common. Don`t fault her for that. She`s human.

FLICKER: She had issues with Robert`s behavior with other women. She was a very, very jealous girlfriend. I`m sorry, but you are wrong --

(CROSSTALK)

HAMMER: All that reportedly. We don`t know that for sure.

FLICKER: Yes, I do know that for sure, but OK, let`s say reportedly. But I`m just saying, in that case, let`s say we don`t know it. Call him up and say, you know what, honey? I`m kind of feeling unsure about the relationship.

(CROSSTALK)

HAMMER: Idealistic. Yes. Listen, that`s all great. But we`re just minutes away from No. 1 tonight on this scandalous edition of the SHOWBIZ countdown, women who cheat. I know that it`s got you thinking now who could it be? The SHOWBIZ countdown continues next.

But as we move on tonight, she opened up for Elton John, and she`s just 13 years old. Meet Tallia Storm. Tonight, Tallia reveals to me the incredible story of how her mentor, Elton John, helped her music dreams come true. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is counting down the top five women whose cheating scandals shocked us. Let me run back where we are so far. No. 5, Kristen Stewart`s steamy rendezvous, the cheating scandal that shocked the twilight out of all of us.

No. 4, Britney Spears makes Justin Timberlake cry. Brit`s cheating ways led to Justin`s scathing revenge video for "Cry Me a River."

And Meg Ryan goes from America`s sweetheart to heartbreaker after her on- set affair with Russell Crowe. Meg rounds out the list so far at No. 3. It`s getting good now.

That brings us to No. 2 on the SHOWBIZ countdown. Women who cheat. Tori`s tawdry affair. Remember this? Just months after her lavish wedding, Tori Spelling had an affair with Dean McDermott while they were filming a TV movie together. Dean left his wife and his children, including an infant daughter, for the woman he called his soulmate. Well, four kids and one reality show later, Tori and Dean are still together.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DEAN MCDERMOTT: When we signed on to do a reality show, we are like, you know what, we`re going to do this for real, warts and all. And what people see is what they`re going to get.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Well, Tori and Dean have one of these rare reality TV marriages that seems to be working, despite their sordid history.

Back with me in New York, Noel Biderman, founder and CEO of Ashleymadison.com. That`s the website for people who are looking specifically for extramarital affairs. Also with me is Siggy Flicker, who is a relationship expert and a matchmaker. So Noel, I`m curious, did Tori`s notoriety as a husband stealer kind of fade with time because her marriage with Dean seems to be so solid?

BIDERMAN: I think that`s exactly right. It ended up matriculating into something that doesn`t usually end up from an affair. It started somewhere, but ended up in somewhere being true love. As a fellow Canadian, I felt for Mary Jo Eustace in that situation and her family, but ultimately that`s the nature of the best. Right? She fell in love. He fell in love. And now you have a new marriage as a result of it.

HAMMER: Yes. It was ugly, but for some reason people don`t really seem to hold it against her.

FLICKER: No, because they actually made something work. They started out shaky, but they`ve had longevity and they`re going well together. And good for them.

HAMMER: All right. Well, I`m sure you`re now wondering who could quite possibly top the SHOWBIZ countdown of women who cheat? Well, that honor goes to none other than Leann Rimes. That`s right. Much like Kristen Stewart, it was a single picture that just blew Leann`s secret love with Eddie Cibrian sky high. Now, if you remember how it all started, they denied it, but then they both divorced their spouses, and now they`re married to each other. And I have always felt that because they denied the affair at first, even though the paparazzi caught them in the act, and it was a silly thing to do, but that`s a big part of the reason that Leann and Eddie`s affair just ticked so many people off, Noel. Are you with me on that?

BIDERMAN: Yes, I understand that, but again, you`re dealing with human nature. If you cut people, they bleed. And if a relationship is not going well, we`re not looking behind their closed doors, this is what tends to happen. People tend to stray. And sometimes they want to line something up before they have the courage to just leave. And so they dabble, they dip their toe into the infidelity pool, and this is what they come up with.

HAMMER: Ah, yes, but it`s so much easier when you`re not in the public eye and you have fans and people who are going to be ticked off. And to this day, I still see the traffic online sometimes when their names come up, and people throw the worst kinds of names at them.

BIDERMAN: They will forever be synonymous with cheating, yes.

FLICKER: Because once you are a liar, and you deny and deny and deny, you`re setting up the precedent for your future. They are never going to be able to repair their status. Never. They`re never -- once a liar, always a liar.

HAMMER: Well, given the evidence we presented to you tonight, was there any other choice for No. 1 on this particular countdown, Noel?

BIDERMAN: Elizabeth Taylor.

HAMMER: Well, you know, that`s a whole different game and a whole different era.

BIDERMAN: This shows this has been a long time coming. Generations have behaved this way. This isn`t something new.

FLICKER: It isn`t something new. I agree.

HAMMER: Well, I appreciate your unique insight, both of you. Thanks for being here. Siggy, Noel, thanks a lot.

FLICKER: Thanks so much.

HAMMER: Well, as we move on tonight, I am so excited to introduce you to a very fine young woman tonight. She has opened for Elton John, and she`s only 13.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: You think you had energy? You think you had poise when you were a teenager? Well, wait until you meet Tallia Storm. Tonight, Tallia reveals to me the incredible story of how her mentor, Elton John of all people, helped her music dreams come true. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Tonight, loving the bad man. Stephen Baldwin is certainly many things, and he certainly has seen his share in Hollywood. Of course he`s a former self-confessed Hollywood bad boy turned born-again Christian. And I have to imagine coming from a very famous family, that you know, must have rambunctious family meals when they talk politics. Well, Stephen still always seems to hold his own. He`s now starring in a new faith-based movie. The name of the film is "Loving the Bad Man," and I spoke with Stephen Baldwin all about it.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Good to have you back on.

STEPHEN BALDWIN, ACTOR: Love me, A.J., love me.

HAMMER: Well, listen, you know, as much as we can kid around, "Loving the Bad Man" is some serious subject matter.

BALDWIN: Absolutely.

HAMMER: A young woman who`s raped, becomes pregnant, and she forges this bond with her attacker while he sits in prison.

BALDWIN: Correct.

HAMMER: Why should people see this?

BALDWIN: Because it`s a really in your face, intense drama first. Dealing with subject matter that affects all folks no matter what your faith. This one just happens to be with a story line of a Christian gal who decides, wait a second, mom, dad, you raised me a certain way. I`m going to do what I believe my faith calls me to do. And it`s quite controversial.

HAMMER: Did it give you pause, though? The character certainly must have at least. Because you have two teenage daughters. Right?

BALDWIN: Correct.

HAMMER: Can we see? We have a picture of Hailey (ph), I believe, with you on the red carpet. There you are. This is a couple of months back, but have you given advice to her about dealing with the dynamic of being part of such a famous family? Because it`s a tough road to navigate, as we`ve seen.

BALDWIN: She was just dancing at Miami City Ballet Summer Program. Went across the street to the W Hotel`s beach, and TMZ was photographing her on the beach.

HAMMER: Of course.

BALDWIN: So I mean, yes, you kind of figure it out as you go. But I think my wife and I are quite pleased with the fact that we raised two level- headed, I guess, industry teenagers. You know, they`ve been exposed to it. Uncle this, uncle that. And they`re handling it pretty well. So far so good.

HAMMER: I was mentioning the fact that you must have these rambunctious Baldwin family dinners, especially when politics comes up. And you and I have talked about it before. Alec possibly running for office one day. He seems to be getting closer to alluding to the fact that he might do it. He recently told "Vanity Fair" that he actually would like to do it. He just can`t figure out yet in what capacity. He`s talked about running for the mayor of New York City. What do you think he should do? Do you think he should run for the mayor of New York City?

BALDWIN: I think he should enjoy himself, which is seemingly the path he`s on now. He`s newly married, getting ready to finish up "30 Rock." And I think he`s got plenty of time to do that, and I think he should do that. I think he would do a great job. Not sure which one, what it is, but--

HAMMER: Would you vote for him, even if he is not a part of your political affiliation?

BALDWIN: A.J., Alec`s got my vote.

HAMMER: OK. That`s very good to know. We`ve got that right there. It`s been great to see you. Make sure you check out Stephen`s new movie. It`s called "Loving the Bad Man," it`s out on DVD right now. Always good to have you here.

BALDWIN: Thank you.

HAMMER: OK. Imagine this for a moment. A young woman who opened for Elton John, and she`s really young. She`s only 13 years old, and there she is. Unbelievable. Her name is Tallia Storm. She is a worldwide phenomenon in the making. Wait until you hear how a random run-in with Elton John turned into a dream come true. Tallia revealing her incredible story to me next. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

HAMMER: Would you believe that voice and that face both belong to a girl who`s just 13 years old? Her name is Tallia Storm, and she is on the brink of worldwide fame. It`s all thanks to a call from Sir Elton John. Wait until you hear what Tallia did to get Elton`s attention.

Tonight, a star in the making. Imagine being on vacation and being discovered by none other than Elton John. That`s exactly what happened to 13-year-old Tallia Storm, and now she is taking the world by storm, opening for Elton in Scotland. She`s even been dubbed the tiny chancer. I spoke with Tallia, and she revealed her incredible story of chance overnight success.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: I`m so excited for you. Your energy is terrific. Your voice is unbelievable. But you have take me to Hawaii, where you were on vacation, a simple family vacation, that changed your life forever because Elton John happened to be at the same place you were. What happened?

TALLIA STORM, SINGER: Well, you know, some may say it`s all led by fate, which it kind of was. Because my grandfather took us all to Hawaii at Christmastime, and he got ill at the end of the holiday, so we had to extend the holiday by two days. And our hotel was fully booked, so we had to change hotel. So we changed hotel, and we only had two days there. My And dad spotted Elton John, his partner and their baby in the lift. And that was kind of -- so you know, we really hoped to see him around the hotel, but you know, we never did. But the next day, we`re having breakfast, and it was actually the day we were leaving. And two tables away from us was David Furnish, sitting, having --

HAMMER: Elton`s partner.

STORM: Elton`s partner, having breakfast with his friends. And we were like, oh my goodness, because it`s just so surreal, especially because I`m from Glasgow. So I ran up to my room, got a quick demo, wrote a quick note on the hotel paper, put it in an envelope, and came back down.

And I thought, you know what, what is there to lose? You know, I`m a Glasgow girl. When are you ever going to be in the same place as Elton John`s partner, right, let alone -- lo and behold, Elton John is probably upstairs in his room.

So we -- I went over to him, and I said to my little brothers, this is Benny and the Jets` partner. Because he listened to the song "Bennie and the Jets." So the next day my mobile rings. I`m going through security in San Francisco Airport. And it`s Elton John.

HAMMER: Elton John on the phone calling you.

STORM: I know.

HAMMER: Now, it was a little rough because you were going through security, but ultimately you got to talk to him. And what did he say to you?

STORM: He said that, you know, if we play the cards right, I`m going to be around for a long, long time. And I just have to stick my ground. And before you know it, he asked me if I wanted to support him in Scotland.

HAMMER: Amazing. Well, having listened to your music, I think he`s on to something. And you promise me you`ll stay grounded?

STORM: Yes, yes, I will.

HAMMER: Promise me you`ll come back when you have your first number-one song? It`s a deal?

STORM: I`m sorry, but if you`d met my mother, you would stay grounded. OK? You would.

HAMMER: Good to know. Absolutely. We expect that from you. Good luck.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: What a great story. Such a poised young woman.

Well, right now, the new questions in the Jackson family drama. Was Katherine Jackson tricked into going on a controversial vacation? Jane Velez-Mitchell has that right now.
