UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Chad Johnson was released from jail yesterday and then was released by the Miami dolphins.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: They didn`t really say this was the reason they released him.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Do not believe what you hear on TV or in papers or any of that stuff.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: They`re in the midst of shooting a reality show about their relationship called "the Ev and Ocho show."

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Charged with domestic battery, accused of head butting his reality star, newlywed wife Evelyn Lozada.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Mr. Johnson, you have been charged with battery domestic violence. She said, Chad head buttered her. He says she slammed her head into his.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: And her face was covered in blood. Both dried and wet blood.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: This all started with a receipt left laying around. She found a receipt for a box of condoms. That led to a heated argument. And she ended up with a cut on her fore head.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It wasn`t about one specific thing. It`s just was not going to work.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Good evening. Jane Velez-Mitchell coming to you live.

Accusations of violence by an NFL star get him arrested and fired. Chad Johnson, aka, Ochocinco was one of the NFL`s top stars. But tonight, he is out on bail accused of buttering for allegedly head-butting his wife and leaving a huge gash in her head. Here he is leaving jail peppered with questions he did not answer.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE REPORTER: Can you explain what happened, Chad?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Johnson and his reality star wife Evelyn Lozada tied the night less than two months ago. Tonight their marriage and career seem up in flames. After the alleged head butting, Evelyn ran to a neighbor`s house in apparent fear and called the cops. The Miami Dolphins quickly fired him, and a reality show featuring both of them has just been canceled. Here is Chad Johnson in court.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Mr. Johnson, you`ve been charged with battery, domestic violence.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: According to the police report, all this came about because Evelyn found a receipt for a box of condoms. Remember, they`re still newlyweds. They were just married July 4th.

Ochocinco is isn`t just a wide receiver. He considers himself a major entertainer. Here he is competing on ABC`s "Dancing with the Stars." and Evelyn is also a star on her right. She appeared on "basketball wives", the vh1 show which chronicled her rocky romance with, who else, Chad Johnson.

Chad, by the way, insists he`s the victim claiming the new bride slammed her head into his. Either way, the Miami dolphins have cut him from the team. Is this a career ender?

Call me. 1-877-JVM-SAYS. 1-877-586-7297.

Straight out to Inside Edition`s Lisa Guerrero.

Lisa, you are all over the sports scene. Critics say Chad Johnson has long been exiting very bizarre behavior. Just the name change, for example. Using profanity at the news conference. But does this take it to a whole new level?

LISA GUERRERO, CHIEF INVESTIGATIVE CORRESPONDENT, INSIDE EDITION: Absolutely, Jane. First of all, I look at this story wearing three different hats. First I look at this as the chief investigative correspondent for "inside edition" where we cover crime against women. We see these kinds of domestic abuse stories quite a bit and rarely do they have a happy outcome.

The second hat I`m wearing is as a former sportscaster, and I`ve interviewed Chad Johnson before. I interviewed him before he became Chad Ochocinco and he`s incredibly talented, incredibly gorgeous. A likable person one-on-one. And as a sports fan it`s difficult to see him self destruct like this.

But finally, the third hat I wear when I look at this story, Jane, is as a baseball player`s wife myself. I was -- I have been married to a baseball player for 17 years, and we`ve been around the world of sports. Basketball, football, baseball, hockey, and we see this time and again where at the decline of a player`s career, suddenly he starts to feel insecure. He starts to deal with emotional issues that come to the forefront. And sadly sometimes he takes out the emotional problems with his wife or his partner. And that seems to be something that we`re seeing right now. It`s been a long time since Chad Johnson was at the top of his game as a football player.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, I think you hit the nail on the head. Because just two weeks ago, Chad was asked what he would do if he were to be cut from the team and he said -- are you sitting down? Porn. Watch this. You have to see this to believe it.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CHAD JOHNSON, NFL STAR: Me, as always looking into a second job. Thinking about going into porn if (bleep) doesn`t work. It`s not funny. I got to earn a living. I mean, seriously. That`s what I would do. I don`t have a choice.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE REPORTER: Your wife wouldn`t be happy about that, I`m guessing.

JOHNSON: She doesn`t have a choice either. I have to provide.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I want to go to the rest of our panel. I mean, what kind of newlywed says he`s going to get into porn if dropped from a team? And then a fight allegedly over condom receipts.

First to Rob Shuter then K. Foxx. Rob, what do you say?

ROB SHUTER, NAUGHTY BUT NICE ROB, HUFFPO: I think that I`ve known this guy for quite a while. I`ve interviewed him a couple of times. He has an enormous ego. This guy has been rewarded several times for crazy behavior. The reason he was on "Dancing with the Stars," the reason he had his own reality show is he`s a real character. He`s a real silly, funny person. However. It`s no longer funny. It`s very, very serious when you use your fists instead of your mouth.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, allegedly K. Foxx, a TV personality, host of hot 97 morning poll. What say you? Because our facebook poll is showing that 73 percent believe the dolphins were right in firing the guy.

K. FOXX, TV PERSONALITY: Well you know, Chad has a lot of charisma, a lot of personality. And I think he was definitely going through a self destruction phase. You know, we don`t know what happened in that house. But Chad definitely did the wrong thing in head butting Evelyn. He definitely did that. And I interviewed Evelyn a few times and they seem very happy. But now, it seems like it`s definitely on the road to destruction.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Let`s go to the phone lines. Ginger in Texas.

Your questions or thoughts, Ginger?

GINGER, CALLER, TEXAS: I watched Evelyn on basketball wives, and she was extremely violent on a lot of the shows. So, I`m just wondering is this really the real truth? I mean, did he head butt her or maybe she did in fact do him?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, you raise an excellent point, Ginger from Texas. Evelyn Lozada is a very controversial figure in her own rights because of her behavior on the hit reality TV show basketball wives. Watch this from vh1.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Tell me you said that (bleep).

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Like I said it to her.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Did you (bleep) say it or did you not?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Like I said before, I don`t remember.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Ev, Ev, Ev. Ev!

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Some celebrities apparently complained that she was sending a bad message. So I want to go to Tonya Young Williams.

You know the back story of this kind of dynamic better than anyone. You were married and are still the estranged wife of former pro athlete Jason Williams. He got in trouble with the law, in fact, he pleaded guilty to shooting, not intentionally, but shooting a limo driver.

What is your reaction to this combustible marriage that`s now exploding in violence?

TANYA YOUNG WILLIAM, JASON WILLIAMS` WIFE: It`s very sad, Jane. And I think the role I play most relevant to this is that I`m a spokesperson for the national domestic violence hot line. And whenever I see two people who have volatile personalities and they come together and it`s explosive like this, it`s very, very sad. Because it could have been worse. Someone could have died.

Violence, domestic violence could lead to death. And that`s very, very sad and very, very scary. And one thing I have to say about Evelyn. Over the last couple of months, she has honestly come forward and said she apologized for her actions on TV and showed real contrition for her actions. And so it`s very sad to see that once again violence is being attached to her name whether she was the one who did the head butting or in fact it was Chad. There was a situation where someone`s life could have been lost had it gone a step further. And both of them need to take a step back away from each other and get the help they need so they do not find themselves in an even worse situation.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: And this is her , both of them, because they had just shot a reality show that has now been canceled. More on the other side.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CAPTAIN DALE ENGLE, POLICE DEPARTMENT: She had quite a laceration on her forehead. It was described to me as being two to three inches in length. Head wounds bleed a lot, but her face was covered in blood, both dried blood and wet blood.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: How do you get a three-inch cut on your forehead from a head butt? Well, if the head butter is an NFL pro, that`s possible. It`s possible this has been brewing for a while now. Take a look at Chad`s activities over the past week.

Last week he got in trouble with his coach after he started swear, using a lot of profanity during a news conference. And then on Friday night during the dolphin`s first preseason game he dropped the only pass thrown to him. And then the next night, Saturday night, he gets arrested for alleged battery.

So, back to your point, Lisa Guerrero. You`re saying that there`s possibly a connection between him doing badly on the team, dropping the only pass thrown to him and then an altercation the next night.

GUERRERO: Yes, not only that, but you add to the pressure of this the fact that he`s taping two separate reality shows at the same time. Remember, he`s also a part of HBO`s hard knocks which is taping now during a training camp in the Miami dolphins. They were featured prominently during the last episode.

So he`s doing that show. He was doing the vh1 show which was just pulled today. So not only is he trying to make the team. He`s trying to be a superstar still on two different television shows in addition to his day job, which is trying to be a wide receiver on a football team. So there`s a lot of pressure there.

But Jane, HBO has a golden opportunity here to shed light on domestic abuse in sports because of this show. They`ve had this incredible access to Chad and Evelyn. And I think the sports fans that watch that show on HBO can really learn a lot by watching what happened to them recently.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, believe it or not, it`s not just basketball wives that she was on or is on. Then there`s another reality show, HBO`s "Hard Knocks" and guess what? They speak openly about their sex lives. Remember, this argument was supposedly about condom receipts. Receipts for condoms. They just got married July 4th. Listen to this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOHNSON: You think the critics are bad. But I`m not doing well she`s actually the worst critic of them all. I didn`t have sex the entire season last year because of my play. When I scored a touchdown, she allowed me to score after that. I went back on cobweb mode.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I think he said if he doesn`t score, he doesn`t score - Rob.

SHUTER: He definitely said it, Jane and certainly I heard it. This isn`t the first time they spoke about sex. They also spoke about sex on the vh1 show where she actually said to him, if you are going to cheat, I hope you use protection, which is now very ironic because it seems that finding a condom receipt sparked the whole drama.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, you know, reality shows encourage dysfunction and drama. This could be an example of it.

To April from North Carolina. Your question or thought, April?

APRIL, CALLER, NORTH CAROLINA: Yes, ma`am. Two comments. First, I think he`s lying about her head butting him. No woman -- she`s a pretty woman. She makes money off her face. So, I don`t think she would damage her face on purpose.

And secondly, I want to say, just because she has a history of violence towards women doesn`t mean she caused the situation to happen. And no woman deserves this treatment from a man no matter what.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: You make an excellent point. Look at this beautiful woman. Do you think she would really create a gash to your own forehead when she is on, God only knows how many reality shows right now. We`re going to stay on top of this on the other side, taking more of your calls.

But Nancy Grace is coming up at 8:00 eastern. I have to ask Nancy, what are you working on tonight, Nancy?

NANCY GRACE, HLN HOST, NANCY GRACE SHOW: Jane, on the radar tracking crime and justice, we go live to (INAUDIBLE), Pennsylvania. From a designer wedding dress to prison blues? Did a bride murder her groom as they were set to walk down the aisle?

And Salt Lake City, caught on video. Murder by SUV? A mother of two facing charges, she tried to run down her husband with her ford explorer. And we have the video.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOE PHILBIN, MIAMI DOLPHINS HEAD COACH: It wasn`t about one specific thing. It just wasn`t going to work. Essentially we take into account the overall body of evidence to determine whether this is the right fit for the organization and more specifically this football team.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: The dolphins coach saying they`re dumping Chad Johnson.

Tonya Young Williams, you went through this -- well, you`re still married. The estranged wife of Jason Williams, who was involved in the scandal of shooting a limo driver. What happens now? The loss of the endorsement deals, and is that one of the reasons why vh1 canceled their reality shows involving the couple because the hard time getting advertisers?

WILLIAMS: Well, it`s just a spiraling situation for Chad and for Evelyn. Yes, I mean, this is a very expensive box of condoms. He`s lost about a million dollars from his football deal, had he made the team. A couple of hundred of thousands dollars for the vh1 show and, you know, his dignity.

So what expense do you put to that? He`s hit rock bottom. We`re going to see if he can rebound. But you also have to understand, Jane, that when you`re in a high profile relationship, you understand that when you pick up the phone and call 911 there`s going to be tremendous fallout. And therefore it`s my belief Evelyn had to be in imminent danger for her to make a call and say, I need help.

She`s a smart woman. Smart enough to know that call would lead to an arrest and was going to lead to all the publicity and negative media that surrounding the situation. So, it had to be real. Domestic violence, like I say, over and over again, it can lead to death. In a moment your life can clang. I lived it myself. They`re living it to a different extreme. Your life can change because you don`t have control of your emotion.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: K. Foxx, You covered so many of these meltdowns with celebrities. Is there an element of self destruction here? Subconsciously, feeling maybe I don`t deserve all this? The money, the fame, the claim.

FOXX: I think, definitely, there`s an element of self destruction. But Jane, I have to say this. You know, what happened to Evelyn is very, very wrong. But the biggest loser here is Chad Ochocinco, Chad Johnson because he doesn`t have the reality show deal anymore. He got dropped from the dolphins. Evelyn can go on to do her own spin-off reality show getting someone else to love. You know, she still has basketball wives in the can. And there`s definitely an element of self destruction. I`m going to see if he is going to be able to rebound because he does have charisma, but now he should be going to be known as a woman beater. And it`s very, very unfortunate for both of them.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Well, I have to say he`s not been convicted. He said there`s another side of the story. And we always have to leave room for the judicial system to play out. But tonight he`s out on bail and out of a job.

Up next we talk to the parents o f a beautiful missing woman. They`re desperately searching for her, and they say they have new information.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Family and friends gathered at the fire station to search for Kortne who has been missing for ten days. But no sign of Kortne.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I haven`t been able to sleep right lately, not just knowing where she is.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: They knocked on the doors and they left.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: The police were right there. Volunteers search a field close to Kortne`s apartment where she was last seen.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: If you`re a father, I hope this hits you. I want her back.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: There was a male in her apartment. He woke up at 7:30 and left and my daughter wasn`t there.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Kortne thought that he was a friend of hers.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Kortne is gone. Kortne is gone.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Tell us what it is you want. We just want our daughter back.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We just want her to come home. I just want her home.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Tonight, disturbing new questions about a mystery man as police investigate the disappearance of this beautiful 21-year-old woman as a kidnapping. That`s what they are calling it now. Kortne Stouffer vanished without a trace from her own Pennsylvania apartment two weeks ago. She left a bar in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and went home.

Shortly after that a series of strange 911 calls send cops to her apartment, not once, but twice. Right around the time she disappeared. The first 911 call that reported a loud argument involving Kortne and a neighbor. The second 911 call from the person living below. This is her apartment. Complained of stomping and banging coming from her apartment. That time Kortne`s parents say cops went to the daughter`s door, but nobody answered so they left.

Last week on this show the devastated parents revealed for the first time that Kortne was not alone inside her apartment. She was with a male friend.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SCOTT STOUFFER, FATHER OF MISSING 21-YEAR-OLD: There was a male with her in her apartment. And it was one of the gentlemen with her that evening. I guess they stayed over at the apartment that evening with her. I don`t think it`s something we need to hold back on at this time. I think it`s something that should be known.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Who is the male friend? Why hasn`t he come forward, and why didn`t the cops mention him to the media? Kortne`s parents told us that he slept over at the daughter`s apartment that night and claims when he woke up she was just gone.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

STOUFFER: He was the last person to see my daughter. So I felt that there was just more there. I still feel there`s more there. It`s difficult.

WENDY STOUFFER, MOTHER OF MISSING 21-YEAR-OLD: We know that he left. We have video of him at a store texting Kortne and saying I left. I didn`t see you. What happened to you?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Straight out to investigative reporter, Jon Leiberman.

Jon, it doesn`t make any sense. If he indeed spent the night there, then he should have been there when cops knocked on the door when they heard the complaint of banging from the apartment below. But nobody answered the door. So, this doesn`t add up.

JON LEIBERMAN, HLN CONTRIBUTOR: Jane, this is a huge mystery at this point. And police are trying to piece together the relationships between Kortne and a number of different people. For example, Kortne lived with her boyfriend. But he was not home during this early morning. She was there with another acquaintance, a friend who she was out partying with prior to that. And she had an argument with a neighbor.

So we understand from police that everybody is still a suspect here. Nobody has been cleared and I want to point this out Jane, we have obtained the search warrant for that home and police are trying to find out if drugs played a role in any of this as well.

They went into her home. They were looking for journals, diaries, letters; obviously, that speaks to them wanting to find out the nature of her relationships. But also they were looking for controlled substances and their related paraphernalia, cell phones, bank records, computers. They want to know if perhaps drugs played any role in this disappearance as well.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Now Kortne`s family believes she went missing between 4:00 and 7:30 in the morning before dawn, Sunday, July 29th. She was out on a Saturday night. So many young people go out on a Saturday night. And they come back late.

After she got home from the bar, Kortne got in an argument with her neighbor. The cops were called at 3:12 in the morning. They got there three minutes later, told Kortne and the neighbor go back inside your apartments. Be quiet. They left at 3:49. 4:12, just about 20 minutes later, somebody hears loud banging coming from Kortne`s apartment, the cops are called but nobody answers Kortne`s door. So they leave at 4:36. So Kortne`s male friend allegedly slept over.

So I think her parents are here now. Scott Stouffer and Wendy Stouffer, our hearts go out to her. We want to be helpful. We know you`re going through a hellish experience right now. Given this mystery male, we`re not naming him. He`s not considered a suspect, but police haven`t ruled anyone out.

There are two options, ok. There`s banging heard. The cops show up. They knock on the door. Nobody answers. What explanation -- I understand you talked to this mystery man who was there and slept over -- what explanation did he offer for why he didn`t answer the door when the cops knocked and what explanation did he offer for the banging that the person downstairs heard?

SCOTT STOUFFER, FATHER OF MISSING WOMAN: Well, I think the explanation that nobody heard the cops knocking for the first part of your question. And the second part of your question, could you repeat that again?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: What explanation did he offer of the banging below your daughter`s apartment? In other words, the people below your daughter`s apartment heard banging coming from the apartment where he reportedly was with your daughter -- your daughter`s apartment. What explanation did he offer for that noise?

S. STOUFFER: Just that Kortne was still angry from the dispute with the neighbor and she took a little bit longer to calm down.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Do you buy that?

S. STOUFFER: I can`t really comment on whether I buy it or not. I don`t really. I just don`t really understand -- excuse me -- I just don`t understand how she can just not be heard or seen and walk out of the apartment. That`s difficult.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Wendy, again, my heart goes out to you. There are no words. We`re trying to figure out this terrible mystery.

What have these last two weeks been like for you? Tell us what you`re going through because I know that all our viewers care and our thoughts and prayers are with you.

WENDY STOUFFER, MOTHER OF MISSING WOMAN: These last 16 days have been hell. I talk to my daughter all the time and I haven`t been able to talk to her. I don`t know where she is. I don`t know if she`s hurt, if she`s not eating. I just want her to come home.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: This search warrant that I`m holding in my hand that we`ve obtained -- by the way, we keep calling the DA`s office and we can`t get any response from them. So we`re going off a search warrant. It`s describing what happened now as a kidnapping. I know that`s disturbing for me to mention to you. But again we`re trying to discuss all the facts and throw them all out there.

You`ve talked to the DA or the DA`s office. What have they told you? What are their theories?

S. STOUFFER: Well, I spent, you know, almost two hours at the DA`s office today, and I believe they are making every effort to find Kortne. But there isn`t a lot of evidence. I mean there`s not a lot of places to go. And they`re trying diligently, I believe they are.

I believe that Dave Arnold, the district attorney, and all the detectives I was with today including one of the officers from the Marlboro Police Department, as I said earlier today. I honestly and sincerely believe they`re treating it as if this was their daughter. But everybody is at a loss.

I`m sure there`s some information that they`re keeping or not sharing with me and I respect that.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I want to ask you, Scott, and I`m sorry to jump in but -- have they talked to the young man? Have they given him a lie detector test? Have they checked his clothing? What have they done in terms of this man who was there that night?

S. STOUFFER: I mean I can`t get into a lot of details. They have interviewed him. To what extent have they interviewed him? I don`t know at all.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Again, we want to keep this story alive. We want to keep your daughter`s photo out there. We know you`ve been putting posters of your daughter up. We`re also going to put up a tip line. And please, anyone out there, if you have any information at all, the clock is ticking. If you have any information about Kortne, call police immediately. This family is suffering. They need to get their daughter back.

Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Stouffer. And again our hearts are with you.

On the other side of the break we have a lot more news.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Your "Viral Video of the Day". This corgi loves the water park. They are having so much fun. Yes, yes, yes. Dogs should be able to all of these places. They have a lot of fun and the kids love them. We should stop dis-including dogs from all these kinds of public places. I love it.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: America`s sweetheart may be finally getting her happily ever after. Talking about Jennifer Aniston set to get married to her boyfriend Justin Theroux.

JENNIFER ANISTON, ACTRESS: I cannot explain to you how surreal this moment is.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Jennifer Aniston is getting married. Yes, she got engaged Friday night to her boyfriend Justin Theroux. He`s an actor and a screen writer. He proposed on his 41st birthday.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Jen Aniston is kind of like that single friend that we all have that we`re just wishing that we get this news of their engagement.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Is America`s sweetheart finally getting her fairy tale ending? Hollywood superstar Jennifer Aniston is heading down the aisle again, finally. Jen`s boyfriend of 15 months, actor Justin Theroux popped the question Friday on his 41st birthday. The pair met on the set of the movie "Wanderlust". Watch this from Universal Pictures

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: All these people live here. This is a commune. We are an intentional community. We`re not a bunch of hippies sitting around playing guitar.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: (inaudible) followed Jennifer`s love life for a year, ever since her public and painful betrayal by you-know-who, ex-hubby Brad Pitt when he left her for Angelina Jolie. So does this mean the alleged rivalry between Jen and Angelina can finally be put to bed? Maybe I shouldn`t say be put to bed.

This is a victory, I believe, for all women who have ever been dumped and are looking for a happy ever after. All right. Rob Shuter, "Naught but Nice", Huff Po -- is it a victory for every woman who has ever been dumped? Is that why we live vicariously through Jennifer Aniston?

ROB SHUTER, "NAUGHT BUT NICE", HUFFINGTON POST: Absolutely. You just hit the nail on the head. We could all sleep easy tonight. Our girl Jen has finally met the man.

What I love about this two, she didn`t rush into it. This has taken her seven years to find the perfect guy. She`s found him.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I agree. And I got to say, that what I find fascinating is that her heartbreak, ok, her heartbreak started with those rumors. And this all brings us back. It actually puts a knot in my stomach.

I remember this. Remember that? Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are flirting but Brad, married to Jennifer Aniston. But they`re having a steamy affair, Brad and Angie on the set of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith". You remember all this, right?

You remember the chemistry in their movie from 20th Century Fox.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BRAD PITT, ACTOR: They want me dead. I`m concerned for your well being. So what do we do?

Come on, sweetheart. Come to daddy.

ANGELINA JOLIE, ACTRESS: Who is your daddy now?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: "In Touch" senior editor, Dorothy Cascerceri. Ok. We have this marriage coming up. But what`s happening with Brangelina?

DOROTHY CASCERCERI, SENIOR EDITOR, "IN TOUCH": Everybody is wondering is this a coincidence because prior to Jen Aniston`s engagement there was a lot of buzz around potential wedding happening between Brad and Angelina this past weekend at Chateau Miraval which is their luxurious home in the south of France. There were reports indicating that a tent was erected that. That there were tons of supplies delivered. That Brad`s parents flew in.

And some reports are indicating that perhaps it was just a party for Brad`s parents` 50th wedding anniversary. The mayor of the town there spoke on the record saying that he thinks the following Saturday, meaning this coming Saturday, is a more likely date for their wedding. So we`re going to have to sit tight and see what happens with these two. But they`re neck and neck right now. Jen and Brad and Angelina.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: You heard it here first. We`re hearing rumors, speculation that Brad and Angelina might get married. Oh my gosh. This is kind of like a race to the altar. Maybe these two ladies should just have a hot oil wrestling contest and just settle it once and for all.

Jen and Brad were America`s golden couple. Could his appearance -- you remember this appearance on "Friends" and the I Hate Rachel Club. I think it was a foreshadowing. Watch this from YouTube.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ANISTON: So, Ross, we went out for two years and you never told me you were in an I Hate Rachel Club.

PITT: You went out with her? We had a pact.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That was in high school. It`s not like it was binding forever.

PITT: Then why did it have the word "eternity" in it?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: So Dorothy, can she put -- can Jennifer put this behind her for good?

CASCERCERI: Let`s really hope she can put this behind her for good because we`ve seen her romantic life. We`ve seen the ups and downs of it. The roller coaster that we all, as women, Jane, know very well. And you know this is a chance for her to really move on and find happiness.

She took her time. She waited. She found Justin, who is definitely a little bit different than most of the guys she`s dated in the past. And let`s just hope that this is the perfect match for her and she can move on from all of the Brad Pitt and Angelina hullabaloo that we`ve been hearing about.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Ok. I`m going to give Rob Shuter five second.

SHUTER: Absolutely not. Every time we talk about Jen we`re going to talk about Angie and Brad for the rest of her life. Sorry.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Sorry, Jen. I`ll try not to be that person.

Thank you both. Come back soon.

Today`s shocking video takes us inside the terrifying crash of a Kansas City transit bus. Watch as the bus driver loses control after another driver pulled out in front of her. The bus swerves and then flips over on its side, and the passengers are sent flying. 13 people including the driver hurt, but everybody is expected to make a full recovery.

My gosh. With video we can experience all kinds of horrors vicariously. But we`re so happy that nobody was seriously hurt in this one.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: One of my favorites parts of the job: "Pets of the Day". Look at these guys. Wow what a gorgeous -- Keiki and Bobby, spectacular. Smokey -- look at those eyes, Smokey. Send your pet pics in. These guys are so fabulous. HLNTV.com/Jane. Dustin and Luna -- that is the life. Keiki and Bobby, you`re having the life, too. And Smokey, you are smoking.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: A chimpanzee who escaped her Las Vegas home has done it again.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We took a huge risk having her here.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: CJ and Buddy`s caretakers say they spent countless hours with their chimps and now one is dead and the other confiscated.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: These animals are not supposed to be kept as pets. How many stories like this will it take before we realize chimps are not to be kept as pets in private homes? Chimps don`t belong in cages. They should not be in prison. They have committed no crime.

A Las Vegas chimp escaped from her cage in a private house for the second time in a month. Cops found CJ the chimp roaming a neighborhood on Saturday after they say she managed to get out of her cage. Thankfully, CJ was tranquilized and not physically hurt, but certainly traumatized.

And the first time she escaped it was a huge tragedy. In July CJ and her chimp partner, Buddy, escaped from their cages, wandering around the neighborhood, pounding on cars. Well, cops killed Buddy.

Joining me now, PETA`s senior vice president of communications, Lisa Lange; Lisa there is a sanctuary that wants to take this chimp, and yet it has been transported reportedly to a zoo and then to some other person or facility that has a larger cage, when the sanctuary called Chimps Inc. is begging to take it. And it just seems outrageous that it`s still being shuffled around -- I should say she is still being shuttled around and further traumatized.

LISA LANGE, PETA: Yes, you know, it`s really tragic as you said. A month ago when the first incident happened and Buddy was shot in the street, we called on the USDA right away and said confiscate this animal and move her to an accredited sanctuary right away. Individual owners -- they don`t have the facilities, they don`t have knowledge to care for these animals. It`s my understanding that CJ is 13.

When these animals reach that age -- and remember this is an animal who will live to be 60 to 75 years old. When they get to be teenagers they become too aggressive and too territorial to be able to handle. They`re eight times stronger than a grown man. This is not for an individual owner. Nevada is one of 25 states that still allows individual ownership of great apes and it just shouldn`t be allowed.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: It needs to stop and this chimp, if the authorities are watching, needs to go to Chimps Inc., a sanctuary we`re going to tell you about on the other side.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TIMMI DE ROSA, CARETAKER: We have gotten calls that people want to let CJ out to pass this law in Las Vegas. And I just hope to God that nobody tampered with the cage.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VELEZ-MITCHELL: That was CJ`s owner who we`ve been trying to reach. I would like to know why this creature should not go -- has not gone immediately to this wonderful sanctuary in Oregon called Chimps Inc. They`ve already told us that CJ would live with seven other chimps in a natural setting free from her cage. And I have to say despite this latest escape, or because of it, Chimps Inc. says they`re working more diligently than ever to prepare for CJ`s arrival.

But Lisa Lange, what I`m afraid of is that somebody`s going to try to use this latest escape as an excuse to hold the animal -- there was even talk about -- well, this changes everything -- as an excuse to hold her in a cage as they investigate. She has nothing to do with however the cage was opened and she got out. She shouldn`t suffer.

LANGE: No, and definitely they can investigate without her being there. As a matter of fact it would be better for her to investigate with her already in Bend, Oregon. And PETA is very hopeful that she is going to be transferred.

I think what`s really important is for people to understand that keeping any primate as a pet is always inhumane. Keeping them as a pet or forcing them to perform for television shows like NBC is recently doing with their show "Animal Practice" or in commercials. It`s always inhumane.

These animals are taken away from their mothers when they`re babies, only weeks old, which is incredibly traumatic for both the mother and the baby, much like it would be for a human mother and baby. So we urge people to never keep these animals as pets, of course. Always boycott companies and networks that are using these animals in ads and on television and just be aware that what they go through is incredibly traumatic and inhumane.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: And I want to say, Lisa, at HLNTV.com/Jane we have information on how you can help the organization Chimps Inc. And also Nevada state senator, Michael Roverson is drafting a state-wide ban on exotic animals. You definitely tell the Nevada state senate and legislature. You don`t want to see exotic animals kept as pets. Not a good idea.

Nancy Next.
