THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

A.J. HAMMER, HOST: Tonight, the "SHOWBIZ Countdown," "SHOWBIZ Shockers." Rihanna and Chris Brown`s stunning VMA kiss. Simon Cowell`s explosive Britney betrayal. Khloe Kardashian, the new "X Factor" host? Tonight, we are counting down the brand-new stories that are shocking everyone.

Hello, and thank you for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer with two big "SHOWBIZ Countdowns" tonight, including "Break-Up Blockbusters." And Heidi and Seal`s extraordinary new war of words over him claiming his soon-to-be ex is actually sleeping with her bodyguard. Or, as he put it, fornicating with the help. Sounds so much nicer that way.

But first, we begin with the top five countdown of "SHOWBIZ Shockers" today, including the remarkable news that Simon Cowell may actually be hiring Khloe Kardashian, of all people, to host "The X Factor." And did Simon just throw "X Factor" judge Britney Spears under the bus? Well, it`s part of our countdown, with No. 5 of our "SHOWBIZ Shockers" tonight.

It happened at MTV`s Video Music Awards last night. You`ve got to watch this. Rihanna`s very public embrace, hugging Chris Brown. It was a behind-the-scenes moment caught on camera by MTV.com.

Take a look at it now. Rihanna goes over to Chris. They give each other a little peck. They give each other a nice little hug. It is the first time we`ve seen them publicly embrace or really publicly do anything together, for that matter, since 2009 when, of course, Brown pled guilty to one count of felony assault for beating her up. You can understand why this shocks a lot of people.

Here`s Amanda Seales, host of MTV`s "Hip-Hop POV" in New York tonight. And in Hollywood is Rachel Zalis, contributing editor for "Life & Style Weekly."

So guys, this moment was caught on camera during the commercial breaks by MTV.com`s streaming cameras. And yes, of course people are paying extra attention to this tonight, because Rihanna recently told Oprah Winfrey that she still loves Chris. And that, quite frankly, threw a lot of people.

Amanda, to you first. Was it shocking to you or, in a way, is Rihanna kind of paving the way for people to get used to it and understand that, hey, if she`s OK with Chris, everybody else should be, as well?

AMANDA SEALES, MTV`S "HIP-HOP POV": Well, this is the first public display of affection between them, but insiders know that they have been hanging out for quite some time and that she has been on vacations, et cetera, with him. So, you know, for her this is typical. I see Chris. I give him a hug and a kiss.

But I think a lot of people are definitely surprised, because they didn`t know that she had moved on that far. That we`d only heard about her talking about it, but seeing it is a whole different thing.

HAMMER: Yes. And if they really are hanging out, it certainly looked like they`re comfortable with one another.

SEALES: Exactly.

HAMMER: You know, during that embrace and kiss, right in front of the MTV crowd. They weren`t so worried about it.

Rachel, you were right there at the VMAs. Did you get the sense when you saw this that maybe it was a turning point, not necessarily just for them but really for the public, for everybody who hasn`t accepted the fact that they are friends again?

RACHEL ZALIS, "LIFE & STYLE MAGAZINE": What can I say, A.J., she found love in a hopeless place. Had to go there, sorry. But I was sitting right --I was sitting right behind them. The truth is, I don`t think she was trying to make a public display. They`ve obviously been hanging out a little bit recently. It was a very quick moment between them. I mean, I swear there was more action between Clinton and Obama at the DNC than between those two. I just think she`s trying to move on. You know, wants us all to move on.

HAMMER: We were happy we could replay that for you one more time.

But now I must move to No. 4 on the "SHOWBIZ Countdown" of "SHOWBIZ Shockers." It is the battle of the best hairdos. Miley Cyrus shocked her fans when she lopped off her long, brunette locks in favor of that short platinum pixie cut. She was showing off the do on the VMA red carpet last night. But she wasn`t the only one. Look at this. You have Pink, Miley and Rihanna, who all threw down their short dos. Pink even had these cool metal spikes running down the middle of her locks.

But here`s my question, and Amanda, it`s to you. Who did the short do best?

SEALES: I mean, I like consistency, and Pink is always wild and rebellious. So this fits her look.

You know, I know Miley is trying to switch up, you know, what she`s been giving us for so long. And she definitely succeeded in doing that. And you know, Rihanna had this like black Marilyn Monroe -- no, not Marilyn Monroe, black `20s look going on. And that was cool, too. I actually liked all of them.

HAMMER: I think they all look great, too. And I know one person who is absolutely loving Miley`s new do: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s own Nischelle Turner, who was right there with Miley last night on the red carpet at the VMAs.

And Nischelle, as I understand it, you and Miley actually got to bond over her new do, although I see your hair is full length today. What did she reveal to you?

NISCHELLE TURNER, CORRESPONDENT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT: She revealed a lot to me. And by the way, A.J., I do love that new hair of hers. She`s taken some lumps, Miley has, in her effort to shed that whole Hannah Montana persona.

She hasn`t said everything or done everything perfectly. You know, she really opened up to me, though, about all her critics, her upcoming wedding to fiance Liam Hemsworth. And she also told me the deeper meaning to that new do. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

TURNER: Are you loving the new -- it`s almost a brand-new Miley.

MILEY CYRUS, SINGER: I love it. I just feel like the most -- man, just with my record and like everybody getting to hear new music from me, just feeling all new. I feel so good.

TURNER: Because you are doing a lot of new things. You have a new Web site that you just launched today.

CYRUS: Like an hour ago. And then it`s kind of going to give people more insight of what we`re doing with the new record and singles and kind of updating people.

TURNER: Here`s what I love about you, though, and I really want you to hear this. Like you`re really good at just brushing the haters off. How do you do it? Because they come from everywhere.

CYRUS: I think you just have to be, like, really comfortable with who you are and make really strong decisions. Even with, like, you know, cutting my hair short. I did it. It`s something that I`ve always wanted to do. And it`s not attached to anybody else but me. So it`s kind of like...

TURNER: I think it`s so fashion forward. I love it.

CYRUS: Thank you.

TURNER: And you know what? This is -- I think, you know, you`ve had some bumps but becoming, like, a girl into a woman, like that`s a big transition.

CYRUS: Yes. Yes, you grow. Everyone grows. And whoever hasn`t messed up is a freaking robot. You know, it`s like not a real person. But...

TURNER: Absolutely. I have to ask you, because you`re engaged and in love. Have you started the wedding planning? Are you just enjoying it?

CYRUS: Right now, I`m really focused on my career. I`m obviously excited for the wedding, but right now I have to plan so much stuff with my record that I don`t have time to be thinking about that now.

TURNER: Yes, I`m hearing that you did a cover of Jeff Buckley?

CYRUS: Yes, he was always one of my favorites and really inspired me. And we did a cover for my Web site. So it`s up there now. It`s called "Backyard Sessions" with just me in my backyard with my band and doing some covers of some songs and some artists I like that really made me want to be an artist.

TURNER: You seem like you`re very comfortable in your skin right now.

CYRUS: I feel really good. Everything`s, like, falling into place. I`m working a lot. Like, it feels really good to be tired, if that makes any sense. It feels good just to be, like, knowing I`m working really hard. It feels really good.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

TURNER: She is so my new BFF, A.J. OK, I kid. But she is blossoming, I think, right before our eyes. And she`s having a really good time. So there you go to all those critics.

You know what? Get ready for new music from her, as well. Because she`s working hard on a new album. She`s got producer Pharrell Williams on her team. And she told me that this is going to be the most honest record that she`s ever made.

HAMMER: All grown up. That hair, I still can`t get over it. Very Pink-ish. All right. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner. Thank you so much.

So there you saw it: Miley`s hair standing on end. So were a lot of people`s last night after listening to Kevin Hart`s monologue at the VMAs. One particular moment shocked us so much it makes No. 3 on our "SHOWBIZ Countdown" of "SHOWBIZ Shockers."

Tonight, Kevin Hart defends Kristen Stewart. Even as Robert Pattinson -- Robert Pattinson was right there at the VMAs. Kevin said, "You know what? Come on, give her a break" from cheating on him with her director. You`ve got to check out what he said about people coming down on K-Stew.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KEVIN HART, COMEDIAN: Here`s what I`ve got to say about Kristen Stewart, OK? Everybody`s mad at Kristen Stewart for making a mistake, OK. She allegedly messed around with the director of "Snow White and the Huntsman." If she did, so what? It`s over. Move on.

Look on the bright side. Here`s the thing. You got to look on the bright side. They`re now a part of the seven dwarfs. You`ve got Sleepy, Grumpy, Adultery, Cheaty. They`re all part of this. And then one big bubble. The point that I`m making is this. If you made a mistake, so what?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: OK. Well, that`s his opinion. Not a lot of people have come to Kristen Stewart`s defense. And quite frankly, I didn`t hear loud cheers coming from the audience there when he said what he said. So you have to wonder if he`s making a good point or not. Good point or not.

MTV execs were reportedly not happy with the comments given the fact that they`d gotten the whole "Twilight" cast right there in the audience. Amanda, are you with Kevin on this one? I`m not sure how I feel.

SEALES: I actually am. Kristen is young. Like, she`s really young. So this type of mistake to me really falls more on the director`s side, who is a 40-plus man and basically just preyed on that young chick.

So, you know, I think Robert definitely has a right to feel upset, of course, but I also feel like she`s gotten way too much heat from the press and from the people for making a mistake that many of them have.

HAMMER: Yes. Well, while he was there, Robert Pattinson, at the MTV VMAs, all the way in Toronto to debut her brand-new film, you had Kristen Stewart, her first public appearance since the whole cheating scandal broke back in July. And I think, Rachel, she looked pretty good. Pretty good post-scandal look for her, wouldn`t you say?

ZALIS: I was going to say that is a really good coming out party look for her. The hair, she`s beautiful. It was clean, it was fresh. She looked somewhat innocent. So, you know, I think she`s going to be able to, like, get past that. But the audience at the awards, forget it. They were so Team Edward. They were having none of that.

HAMMER: Totally. Good move for her staying away from the VMAs, I think.

ZALIS: Yes.

HAMMER: So as shocking as those moments are, our "SHOWBIZ Shocker" countdown is really heating up now. Our numbers two and No. 1 shocker straight ahead. So will the stunning news that Simon Cowell may hire Khloe Kardashian to host "X Factor" grab the top spot? Or will it be Simon Cowell`s shocking new revelation about his newest "X Factor" judge, Britney Spears?

And we`ve got another incredible countdown. You`ve got to see this tonight. The top five "Break-Up Blockbusters." Seal and Heidi Klum split taking a nasty turn. Seal claims Heidi was hooking up with the help. Fighting words, but Seal isn`t the only one who is throwing vicious verbal jabs tonight. We count down the top five "Breakup Blockbusters."

This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Taylor Swift has yet another hit break-up song on her hands, "We are Never, Ever Getting Back Together." But who`s this one about? Well, that scarf you just saw, that may hold the clue to which ex-love Taylor`s bashing this time around.

Brand-new evidence dug up by "Us Weekly" points up to Jake Gyllenhaal as the inconsiderate ex-boyfriend who inspired Taylor`s new break-up song. Take a look at that scarf in the video. That`s the biggest clue, because it`s almost identical to one of Jake`s scarfs that Taylor wore when she were going out. So mystery solved.

But there is still one big mystery left tonight. Who`s going to take the No. 1 slot on our "SHOWBIZ Shocker" countdown? Will it be Khloe Kardashian reportedly hosting "The X Factor" or Simon Cowell`s apparent betrayal of Britney Spears?

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s counting down the top five "SHOWBIZ Shockers" tonight. Let me run down where we are so far.

No. 5 on our countdown, Rihanna and Chris Brown reunite, sharing a friendly hug at the MTV Video Music Awards.

No. 4, Miley`s new do. Everybody is talking about the spunky new haircut which debuted last night at the MTV VMAs.

No. 3 on the countdown, VMA host Kevin Hart telling everyone, give Kristen Stewart a break for cheating on Robert Pattinson, even as Robert was right there looking on.

That brings us to No. 2 of our countdown of the top five "SHOWBIZ Shockers." Simon tells all about Britney Spears.

Now Simon Cowell just gave a bombshell new interview with stunning Britney news. He revealed for the very first time that Britney almost quit the "X Factor" on day one after a panic attack. Let`s watch what he told TMZ.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SIMON COWELL, JUDGE, "THE X FACTOR" (via phone): No one`s going to admit on the first day that your highest-paid star, after 20 minutes, has walked off set. I mean, it doesn`t look great.

I kind of guessed that the first day was going to be difficult for her. And it`s a lot to take in. It`s a lot of pressure. And she did have a moment on the first day where she said to me, "I`m not sure I can do this."

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: It`s wild to me that he`s talking about this now. Simon actually revealed that he had to talk Britney into continuing on with the show. I am glad that Britney decided to stick it out. But I have to wonder, why would Simon reveal so much?

Back with us from New York, Amanda Seales, host of MTV`s "Hip-Hop POV." From Hollywood tonight Rachel Zalis, contributing editor to "Life & Style Weekly." You guys know there was so much made of Britney joining "The X Factor." There was a huge deal, $15 million payday for Britney.

I find it shocking to hear him say, now, that she didn`t think that she could handle it. What does Simon have to gain by revealing something so private right now? Oh, I don`t know, Amanda, could it be perhaps to get a little publicity for the show`s new season debut next week, do you think?

ZALIS: I mean, he is the master of that. I actually remember us covering that story and then, you know, just brushing it off and saying, "She had to go to the bathroom. It was nothing. She went to the loo."

So, you know, I think that he knows what he`s doing. We know what he`s doing. And that it`s going to work.

HAMMER: But here`s my problem. You know, Britney`s had some very public medical issues in the past.

ZALIS: And continues to.

HAMMER: Yes, and Rachel, given her background, could Simon be using her troubles to get eyes on the show? I mean, it would seem to me like that is some unfair exploitation going on.

ZALIS: It seems a little desperate. I mean, I would definitely not expect him to use that at the expense of Britney. But like he is feeling the pressure. I mean, "The Voice" is going to air directly against him. "Idol" is lining up a megawatt A-list panel. And I think at this point, he would do a duet with a dancing parrot if he had to. I wish he had done that, though, instead of selling out Britney.

HAMMER: I kind of get the impression that he didn`t realize the greater implication of what he was saying. He -- you know, for all we say about Simon, he`s a pretty sensitive and sensible guy, and maybe it didn`t occur to him as the words were coming out of his mouth.

But Britney is not the only one making big "X Factor" news tonight. And this brings us to No. 1.

The No. 1 shocker on tonight`s SHOWBIZ Countdown, Khloe`s new gig. The reality TV star and NBA wife is reportedly this close to getting hired by Simon to be the new host of "X Factor."

You remember the host last season didn`t make it to season two. That takes us right to the "SHOWBIZ Flashpoint." Is Khloe Kardashian the best choice to host "The X Factor"? What do you think, Amanda?

SEALES: Well, if no talent or experience makes you a good host or judge, then she would definitely be a great host.

HAMMER: Really?

SEALES: Really.

HAMMER: You don`t think -- you don`t think she has what it takes to pull it off? I mean, you`re saying...

SEALES: Something tells me she`s lacking some chops. I don`t know.

HAMMER: but no, Rachel, what do you think about this? Because he`s not going to hire her. He`s a smart enough guy to not put somebody on who`s not going to be able to carry it. I will say it`s obviously a very difficult gig that she doesn`t have any experience in. What do you think, Rachel?

ZALIS: I totally disagree. I love -- she`s actually my favorite Kardashian. I think she`s big, she`s brash, she`s ballsy. And boy, she could kick Seacrest`s butt if she needed to. So I`m all for this choice. I love her.

HAMMER: Maybe he`s doing something -- you know, he`s already done his research, tested her out, and now he`s floating it again back to the publicity angle, the whole thing. Because quite frankly, it will get eyeballs on the show. At least the first show.

We did reach out to Khloe`s rep today for comment. We got a big no comment.

Amanda Seales, Rachel Zalis, thank you very much.

And we`re revealing more VMA jaw droppers tonight like the K-pop takeover.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(MUSIC)

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Right there you have Korean rapper Psy. "Gangnam Style" video went viral around the globe, getting 115 million hits. And he was a hit at the VMAs too.

Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT goes one on one with Psy to talk about his bid for global domination.

Plus, Katy Perry and John Mayer hooking up, breaking up and drunk texting? I think Katy and John`s romance is already dramatic enough for a love song, certainly. It`s only been two months. Will their split become the biggest break-up blockbuster of the summer? We`re counting down the top five "Break-Up Blockbusters" tonight on the "SHOWBIZ Countdown."

This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(MUSIC)

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Oh, yes, that is "Gangnam Style." The world according to Psy. The Korean rapper is taking the world by storm with his famous dance move. His video has been watched more than 100 million times on the YouTube. Did you see this?

Thirty-five-year-old Korean pop rapper Psy is teaching his sensational new dance move to "SHOWBIZ tonight`s" Nischelle Turner. And Nischelle, I understand you officially have Gangnam style from what I`m hearing. What exactly did this Psy guy tell you?

TURNER: Apparently I do, A.J, and I`m loving every bit of it. Psy is sitting on cloud nine right now. He just signed a deal with Scooter Braun, who`s Justin Bieber`s manager. And I really think he`s kind of overwhelmed by all this attention his little music video that he shot in Korea is getting now worldwide.

I was with him last night on the red carpet at the VMA awards, the MTV Video Music Awards. And watch what he told me when I asked him if he expected any of this.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

PSY, RAPPER: I didn`t expect this kind of thing. I made this song. I made this music video and dance moves just for Korea, not worldwide. I didn`t expect anything like this. I`m talking to CNN on the VMA. Crazy.

TURNER: It is crazy. And you`ve got -- you`ve got Scooter Braun who said, "I love this guy," who`s in line with Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift. Gangnam, I mean, what is that style? What would you call it? How would you describe it?

PSY: The style is global at day time and crazy at night. That`s Gangnam style.

TURNER: Can you teach me a little of the Gangnam style?

PSY: You mean the dance?

TURNER: Yes.

PSY: Of course. So it goes one, two, three, four.

TURNER: One, two, three, four.

PSY: You got it. And then it goes like this. Riding a horse. Like one, two, three, four.

TURNER: One, two, three, four.

PSY: You bet.

TURNER: Maybe I can be your background dancer. Psy, you`re the best.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

TURNER: That`s the first time I`ve seen that. I look like a dork, A.J.

HAMMER: Wow. Well done. Well done. Crazy at night, Nischelle. Thanks so much.

Here`s what`s coming up at the bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Seal`s slam. He`s accusing his soon-to-be-ex-wife, Heidi Klum of being classless and claiming she`s cavorting with the help. Can you say bitter break-up here? I mean, come on.

But is Seal and Heidi`s drama tonight`s biggest "Breakup Blockbuster"? Well, we are here to count down the top five. It`s the "SHOWBIZ Countdown."

This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Right now on tonight`s "SHOWBIZ Countdown," it`s the "Break- Up Blockbusters." SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s counting down the top five brand-new shocking developments today in Hollywood`s biggest heartbreak stories.

Heidi Klum and Seal. Did he really just accuse her of sleeping with the help? Startling news about the parents of Kim Kardashian`s ex, Kris Humphries and what she can learn from their divorce. Plus, did sexting lead to John Mayer and Katy Perry`s break-up makeup? Which "Breakup Blockbuster" will make its way to the top on this "SHOWBIZ Countdown"?

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT continues right now.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, thanks for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer with tonight`s SHOWBIZ countdown, the top five breakup blockbusters.

And kicking us off at number five. The just-revealed leaked phone call that is claimed to be from LeAnn Rimes. It`s reportedly from a woman who accused Rimes of being a homewrecker. And it comes just days after LeAnn checked herself into a facility for 30 days because of emotional problems. You`ve got to watch this with me.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LEANN RIMES, SINGER (voice-over): I`m sorry. I`m sorry for anything that (inaudible) been offensive. And I really, really mean it. And I, you know, other than that, I mean, honestly, I was actually kind of excited to talk to you, because I thought like we could get past all of this because it`s just so stupid.

And it`s my life and her life and Eddie`s life and Dean`s life and no one else`s. And so I kind of thought that like we could kind of move past this. So -- and just like even just like talking, I was just thinking like maybe we could like cut ties and like move on.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Wow. I mean, it`s just incredible to me to actually hear LeAnn just laying out her feelings like that on that call.

With me tonight a New York pop culture reporter, Brian Balthazar, who is the editor of "Pop Goes the Week".

From Hollywood, Rachel Zalis, contributing editor to "Life & Style Weekly".

So guys, part of LeAnn`s emotional and coping problems reportedly have been over her continuing to get harassed on the Internet for being a part of the breakup of her now-husband Eddie Cibrian`s old marriage.

The woman LeAnn apparently called was giving her a hard time on Twitter. And LeAnn is now actually suing the woman and her daughter after parts of that call surfaced on the Internet.

Rachel, it seems to me that if LeAnn did make the call hoping to make peace, it shows really just how much all this has gotten to her.

RACHEL ZALIS, CONTRIBUTING EDITOR, "LIFE & STYLE WEEKLY": It was a horrible idea, by the way. I think she has the Lindsay Lohan spotlight syndrome. She cannot stay away from attention. But the worst part is she did herself no favor. She said, I`m really sorry about anything offensive. And by the way, Brandy is a vindictive you-know-what. I mean, what is she doing?

HAMMER: Yes.

I mean, Brian, are you with me on this? I got to tell you, it surprised me to no end that LeAnn could actually be calling her Twitter followers and even spending time with them. I mean, does this shock you?

BRIAN BALTHAZAR, EDITOR, "POP GOES THE WEEK": It is absolutely shocking. This is a really stark reminder that celebrities are people, too. You know, they have thousands of Twitter followers and she`s singling this one to just to call them and make amends or break it off.

What kills me is that she`s really taking all this personally. And it speaks to the fact that she does have some problems right now. And I sympathize with her, but it`s really shocking that she`s actually reaching out to these people.

HAMMER: Yes. So many celebrities that I speak with who have been at the game particularly for a long time are very capable of just shutting it all down and ignoring all the noise around them. Sadly, LeAnn hasn`t been able to do that. And you know, her trouble still follows her all over the place.

All right. Coming up next, at number four on our SHOWBIZ countdown, of our top five breakup blockbusters, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries` seemingly never-ending divorce and what they can learn from Kris` own parents. Now listen to this.

We just learned that Kris` parents, they just finalized their divorce in only 26 days, less than a month. Kim and Kris have been at it for nearly a year now.

Brian, isn`t it just ridiculous that Kim and Kris cannot work this out? I don`t get it.

BALTHAZAR: Honestly, it is ridiculous. But that kind of -- that word kind of comes up quite often when I think of Kim Kardashian.

(CROSSTALK)

BALTHAZAR: But it is surprising, you know, the fact that they can`t just end it already. End it. Please.

HAMMER: Yes, listen to Brian, Kim.

And look, she`s moved on very publicly, Rachel, making headlines every day with her boyfriend, Kanye. Who can forget, you know, they`re together when we`re seeing it everywhere, every day? Why can`t they get the divorce papers signed? Is it just that Kris is trying to stick it to her? What`s happening?

ZALIS: Of course he`s trying to. I mean, the longer it takes, the more money he is incurring for attorneys, it`s something like $250,000. It`s the less quick that she can remarry with Kanye. So he`s trying to say that this whole marriage was a fraud. And the only way he can prove that is by getting her to admit that it was. And he`s going to keep pushing it and pushing it as long as he can.

HAMMER: I still will say, by the end of 2014, we will have this thing settled. OK, let`s move from a 72-day marriage to one that was remarkably even shorter, if you can believe that, and it`s number three on the SHOWBIZ countdown of our top five breakup blockbusters.

Evelyn Lozada in her very first big interview since she announced she was divorcing Chad Johnson after just 41 days of marriage, after he was arrested for allegedly head-butting her. She was just on ABC`s "Nightline," and she talked about what went down during that violent confrontation. Let`s watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

EVELYN LOZADA, ESTRANGED WIFE OF CHAD JOHNSON, : He grabbed me by here and he head-butted me. And all I felt was, you know, I felt like, you know, blood coming down my face.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: How were you feeling at that moment?

LOZADA: Humiliated. Embarrassed. In shock. My fairy tale had just ended.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: This is a tough woman. I got to tell you, I`m feeling some sympathy for her, watching her in this interview. But of course a lot of people blamed Evelyn for what happened, because they had seen her in so many violent confrontations on her reality show, "Basketball Wives".

Rachel, do you think maybe -- look, she had an influence on the media. Think that Evelyn needed people to hear from her to believe her story?

ZALIS: I think she probably did. You know, she is portrayed on that other show as fiery and feisty. But the thing is, A.J., no matter how much your personality is like that, nothing ever warrants any violence. And I think it`s important for that to get out to people. You know, don`t question that at all.

HAMMER: I`m right there with you. I want to bring in SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner, who`s in Hollywood.

Nischelle, you saw Evelyn`s interview. Do you think that maybe it did help her in the court of public opinion? Maybe gained her some sympathy? Because she did have a lot of detractors.

NISCHELLE TURNER, HLN CORRESPONDENT: Yes, you know, she definitely did have a lot of detractors, A.J. And to be honest, I think it did do her some good, doing this interview because now we have been forced to see her in another light, except for the bully that she was on that show.

And our colleague, Rochelle Kerry (ph), wrote a great blog, saying that a bully can be a victim. And I think, in this case, that is what happened. So now we look at her as a real person with feelings. And I think that`s good in her case.

HAMMER: Yes, it`s tough, it`s tough. She basically did have that one image. And now, well, she clearly has another one.

All right. Want to move on now to number two on our SHOWBIZ countdown, top five breakup blockbusters.

One of the most talked about budding romances in Hollywood but it actually already appears to be on shaky ground. Now, Nischelle, a lot of music fans are hoping this one will actually work out. Is love still in the air here? Oh, please, do tell.

TURNER: Oh, you know what, A.J., all eyes are on Katy Perry and John Mayer right now. You know, fans were stunned but they were also thrilled to find out that they were dating. But there were reports just last week that John Mayer had dumped her and moved on with his life.

Well, A.J., here`s a word to those fans. don`t believe everything that you read, because there are brand-new sightings and a frenzy of fan Twitter pics showing Katy and John hanging out and having a great time with friends over the holiday weekend, and one report that they got back together after, yes, sexting each other. Who knows, A.J. Let`s just keep watching this one. We may see another walk down the aisle.

(CROSSTALK)

HAMMER: Let me bring in Brian Balthazar on this one.

Because Briand, you know, I had the impression that John had become somewhat of a pariah after his bad history with things he said about his exes in the press in the past. Are you surprised that he got Katy to begin with?

BALTHAZAR: I`m still trying to figure out what woman says to herself, yes, dating John Mayer seems like a really good idea? You know, I mean, this is a guy who has a reputation. And I actually like -- you know, I love his music. And I like to think Katy has a head on her shoulders. But she`s a grown woman and she can handle herself, but you can`t say there aren`t red flags all over this --

HAMMER: No, woman`s perspective, Rachel, are we missing something?

ZALIS: We love the bad boys. It`s like candy, you know, it`s bad for you but you want it more and more. That`s all I can say about that.

HAMMER: All right. Well, look, Katy Perry and John Mayer right here, proving that breaking up is hard to do but moving on apparently is even harder.

The question is, who will be number one tonight on the SHOWBIZ countdown of breakup blockbusters? Well, it does include brand new developments that I must tell you are very hard to believe.

So Brian, Rachel, I want you both to stay right where you are.

But now, from blockbuster breakups to blockbuster revelations from an iconic former Rockette. An unbelievable story, and tonight, I`ve got a spectacular newsmaker interview with this woman, former Rockette Greta Gleissner. She`s right here and she is revealing the pressure, the stardom, the fascinating world of Radio City Music Hall and how she overcame her personal battle with bulimia.

This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: I`m going to presume you`re ready, because it is time to unveil our number one in the SHOWBIZ countdown of the top five breakup blockbusters tonight. Here`s where we are so far.

Number five, LeAnn Rimes` leaked phone call defending her marriage to Eddie Cibrian.

And number four, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries` never-ending divorce. So how come his parents were just able to get their own divorce done in a mere 26 days?

Number three, "Basketball Wife" Evelyn Lozada breaks her silence in her first big interview about her split from Chad Ochocinco Johnson.

In that, number two tonight, John Mayer and Katy Perry looking like quite the item again.

And our number one breakup shocker tonight, Heidi Klum and Seal`s war of words. Him now accusing her of sleeping with the help, what? Well, these two split back in January. And at the time, an optimistic Seal told CNN`s Piers Morgan he actually could see them getting back together.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SEAL, SINGER: Is it irreparable? You can never say never. Obviously, I can`t speak for my wife. And again, I`m not going to sit here and B.S. you and tell you we haven`t had problems. Of course we`ve had problems. Otherwise, why are we splitting up? Whether we get back together or not, it may happen.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Or it may not happen. A very fired-up Seal, singing a very different tune after responding to reports that Heidi is dating her bodyguard.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner is joining me now from Hollywood.

Exactly what did Seal say, Nischelle?

TURNER: This is a while, A.J. You know, it`s been about five months since Heidi Klum filed for divorce from Seal after seven years of marriage. And now Seal is speaking out about Heidi getting close with the bodyguard. And despite the fact that he`s separated from Heidi, he wasn`t happy when asked about the two dating.

Seal told TMZ, quote, "I don`t necessarily expect Heidi to all of a sudden become a nun. But as always, my main priority is the emotional well-being of our children. At once I didn`t expect any better from him. I would have thought Heidi would have shown a little more class and at least waited until we`ve separated before deciding to fornicate with the help, as it were."

HAMMER: Wow.

TURNER: Now -- yes. Seal told the photogs that now they had the answer they`ve been waiting for for seven months, which led a lot of people to think that he`s saying Heidi cheated on him.

HAMMER: Which is not exactly the case. We`re going to get to that in just a moment, but right now, I want to welcome back pop culture expert Brian Balthazar and Rachel Zalis from "Life & Style Weekly".

Look, obviously, Seal, not happy about the budding relationship Heidi allegedly has with her bodyguard. But here`s the thing. Seal says that he`s looking out for the emotional well-being of their children. Certainly understandable, Rachel. Do you think that Seal, though, should have kept his mouth shut and not publicly accused her of sleeping with her bodyguard if he`s really caring about the kids?

ZALIS: Absolutely. And who even speaks like that, fornicate with the help? I mean, I`m so sick of people airing their trashy, dirty laundry in public. I mean, if he really cared about the kids, he would keep it very private between them. I mean, he needs to embody his name and seal those lips, come on.

HAMMER: Yes. Yes. I mean, if somebody`s -- that`s right. Seal told the paparazzo he wished that Heidi had waited until they separated before she fornicated with the help.

But, Nischelle, by separate, getting to the nitty-gritty of this story, I`m guessing he meant finalize the divorce.

TURNER: Yes, he did do some clarification, a little bit of back- tracking there, A.J. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT reached out to Seal`s rep, who told us Seal would like to clarify that he was not implying his wife was cheating while they were together. Rather, he was merely pointing out that their separation and divorce are not yet final and they are indeed still legally married.

Now we also heard from Heidi Klum, who tells us, I cherish all of the great memories Seal and I created together over the years. Our separation was based on issues between the two of us. Seal has moved on. And so have I. My priority has and continues to be protecting and providing for our children. I would say she is taking the high road.

HAMMER: Yes. I just wish everybody didn`t feel the need to always respond when things are being thrown around and rumors are being floated around. All right, Nischelle, thank you.

Brian, Rachel, thank you both so much. Appreciate it tonight.

Well, here is a big makeup that`s making the headlines tonight, Stevie Wonder, letting the world know he`s sorry for the weird remarks that he made about artist Frank Ocean`s revelation he had fallen in love with a man. We have Stevie`s big apology coming up.

Right now, it is time for the SHOWBIZ Buzz List. This is what the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT staff is buzzing all about this week.

The living legend, the great Prince, just announced that he`s playing a single show. It`s going to be in Chicago in late September. Tickets will go on sale Thursday through livenation.com. So get ready to get your mouse finger clicking for that.

The Kindle Fire is about to set fire to the tablet wars. The new version of the Kindle is reportedly being launched this week. And I got to tell you, we cannot wait to get our hands on this thing.

Reality TV goes highbrow -- well, sort of. Bravo`s new series "Gallery Girls" features the cutthroat business of New York`s commercial art world.

iPhone users rejoice. The new iPhone 5 expected to be released on September 21st. All reports say it`s going to have a larger screen and a slimmer profile.

And it`s "The New Normal" -- we love NBC`s new show about a gay couple trying to start a family.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Just look at that, just strutting down the middle of Buckeye Road in broad daylight, proud as gay peacocks.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Why shouldn`t they be, Nana?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Don`t call me that. I don`t look old enough to be a grandmother.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Great-grandmother.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I happen to love the gays. I could never get my hair to look this good without them.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Tonight, a SHOWBIZ true confession. We know the Radio City Rockettes for their big smiles and those high-flying kicks.

But behind the scenes, the pressure to fill those legendary shoes led a former Rockette to nearly kill herself because of an eating disorder. Greta Gleissner tells her dramatic story in her new book called "Something Spectacular: The True Story of a Rockette`s Battle with Bulimia."

Greta joins me now in New York.

It`s good to have you here, Greta.

GRETA GLEISSNER, PROFESSIONAL DANCER: Thank you so much.

HAMMER: Absolutely. And to be clear, you had bulimia before you joined up with the Rockettes and you thought that becoming a Rockette would actually help you change, maybe even recover, but it only got worse, didn`t it?

GLEISSNER: It did. Prior to Rockettes, I had had bulimia since I was age 16. And by the time I started Rockettes at age 25, it had progressed to, you know, daily bingeing and purging several times a day.

HAMMER: And the Rockettes actually -- really proved a challenge because when you join up with them, you got to take what you call the fat test. You literally get measured for fat. What are some of the things that you still can`t believe you had to do to stay on as a Rockette?

GLEISSNER: Well, I think, you know, we did have to, you know, weigh in and get some body fat testing. But on the other hand, it is part of the business, so it wasn`t surprising to me.

HAMMER: But did that just feed into what you were already dealing with, having that kind of pressure and having the weigh-ins with all those other women?

GLEISSNER: I think it was my own internal pressure that I put. That really affected me. The weight ranges were very broad. I was never told to lose weight. But it was just my own comparison to the other talented, beautiful women that were dancing alongside me.

HAMMER: So what was rock bottom for you?

GLEISSNER: Rock bottom was purging about up to 30 times a day. Spending $50 to $100 a day on food. Pawning my belongings to get money for binge food. Getting kicked out of my apartment. Not having a job because of -- I couldn`t stop bingeing and purging. And then going to Sierra (ph) Tucson for treatment is, you know, where I went after rock bottom.

HAMMER: Well, it seems like you got on the right path and you`re doing well now. And I`m sure writing this book was cathartic. I appreciate you sharing your story with us, Greta, thank you so much.

GLEISSNER: Thank you so much.

HAMMER: For more of Greta`s incredible story, pick up "Something Spectacular;" it is available right now.

And we move on now to some huge movie news. It`s big history made in the movie biz over the weekend. The brand-new kids movie that is the lowest grossing wide-release film of all time. I mean, this is astonishing how little money this thing made. I`ll reveal this serious box office bomb coming up next.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Tonight, Stevie`s big blunder. The musician who`s known for being all about love is forced to clarify his remarks about a gay rapper.

Also, the Labor Day box office dud, a much-hyped kids` movie has the worst widescreen opening in history.

And big up for Big Mike. Hollywood remembers Michael Clarke Duncan, who died over the weekend. Your SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner with the Buzz today.

TURNER (voice-over): Honoring Michael Clarke Duncan, the bodyguard turned actor, whose many roles include the Oscar-nominated performance as a death row inmate in "The Green Mile," died Monday at age 54, almost two months after suffering from a heart attack.

Although he only turned to acting in his 30s, his gentle giant persona made him much loved across Hollywood. Tom Hanks, Duncan`s "Green Mile" co- star, told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, "I am terribly saddened at the loss of Big Mike. He was the treasure we all discovered on the set of "The Green Mile." He was magic. He was a big love of man and his passing leaves us stunned."

Stevie`s sorry. Stevie Wonder just released a brand-new statement clarifying comments he made about Frank Ocean, the R&B artist who recently revealed that he fell in love with a man.

In an interview with U.K.`s "The Guardian", Wonder was asked if he was surprised that, in this day and age, there could be a, quote, "furor at the revelation that rapper Frank Ocean is gay."

Wonder responded, "I think honestly some people who think they`re gay, they`re confused. People can misconstrue closeness for love."

Wonder issued a brand-new statement this weekend to clear up his thoughts (ph), saying, "I`m sorry that my words about anyone feeling confused about their love were misunderstood."

Box office bomb -- with only $448,000 earned this weekend, "The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure" is officially the lowest grossing wide release of all time. The interactive kids` film averaged just $207 per theater, the lowest ever for an opening on 2,000 or more theaters. "Oogieloves" takes the top flop spot from 2008`s "Cellgo (ph)".

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Thanks for watching. Remember, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can be seen weeknights at 11:00 pm Eastern and Pacific on HLN.

And of course, HLN continues right now.
