Makeover Madness: Britney Spears, Demi Lovato on `The X Factor`; Inside Look at Tommy Hilfiger`s Pad

Aired September 13, 2012 - 23:00   ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

A.J. HAMMER, HOST: Tonight the "SHOWBIZ Countdown," "Makeover Madness." It`s the powerful prime-time transformation for new "X Factor" judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato. We`re talking about two big stars, two big transformations.

So which amazing makeover will be No. 1 on our "Makeover Madness" countdown?

Hello and thank you for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer.

We`ve got two big "SHOWBIZ Countdowns" tonight, including a countdown of today`s top five biggest "SHOWBIZ Buzz Makers," including this big whoopsie. A star of HBO`s "The Newsroom," Alison Phil, making big news today after accidentally, she says, tweeting a topless picture of herself. Her response? Priceless.

And where there`s smoke, there`s Nancy. Nancy Grace`s incredible drilling of the mom from the reality show "Toddlers and Tiaras" who had her four-year-old daughter perform by making believe she was smoking a cigarette. Yes, a 4-year-old.

Our big reveal of the top five "SHOWBIZ Buzz Makers" coming your way.

But we begin tonight with the "SHOWBIZ Countdown" of "Makeover Madness." Justin Bieber`s remarkable makeover revelation today in a brand- new interview.

And "X" marks the spot, the makeover spot, that is, for Demi Lovato and Britney Spears as the two new judges on "The X Factor."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BRITNEY SPEARS, JUDGE, "THE X FACTOR": That was not a great song for you to sing.

That song was just in the wrong key.

You`re really off-key.

I don`t think you have that wow factor.

I think you`re confused with your direction.

I`m going to have to say no. No.

No.

No, no.

SIMON COWELL, JUDGE, "THE X FACTOR": And everybody thinks I`m the mean one.

SPEARS: It`s Britney, bitch.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I got to tell you, this really surprised me. It was wild to see Britney like we`ve never seen her before. She was harsh. She was blunt. She wasn`t at all afraid to reveal how she really feels.

With me tonight from Hollywood, Sal Masekela, host of Red Bull`s signature series, "U.S. Open of Surfing." It airs this Saturday on AMC. And with me in New York, Megan Alexander, who is a correspondent for "Inside Edition."

All right, guys. I`ve got to tell you, as we count down our top three contenders in the "Makeover Madness" competition tonight, pretty tough call here. Let`s kick off with No. 3. And yes, it`s Britney. Wow. I have to tell you, we did not know what to expect. And hey, I was so excited that we got to hear Britney speak on the fly, quite possibly changing how we see her forever, when you think about it.

Sal, let me go to you first. I have to tell you, online today as I was surfing around, there seemed to be this general consensus that, wow, holy cow, she did actually pull it off. What did you think?

SAL MASEKELA, HOST, "U.S. OPEN OF SURFING": You know, I wasn`t that surprised. I mean, I think that before she went through everything that she went through, which seems like just yesterday, she was rather engaging and she was entertaining, and she kind of laughed at herself. We seemed to forget this was the girl that warmed everyone`s hearts.

Now to see her sort of unplugged and not being handled and not coddled and seeming like a -- really, like a regular young mom and a Britney Spears that we`d like to get to know better, I give her the thumbs up.

I was surprised at how sort of snarky she was and really went after it, but I think in that position, she had no choice but to go after it. Otherwise, she would have gotten grilled.

HAMMER: And to your point, based on how handled we`ve seen her over the past many years, I actually thought she would be even more reserved than she was, and I actually think we`re going to see her open up more as the season goes on, so "The X Factor" now really giving us the chance to get to know Britney.

And that especially happened, I thought, last night, when someone Britney once knew, someone she had performed with something like ten years ago, hit the stage to compete but didn`t make the cut, and Britney wasn`t easy on him. Let`s watch this together.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Britney?

SPEARS: I feel like through the years maybe you`ve gone through a lot of hardships and battles.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes.

SPEARS: But your voice really isn`t up to the bar of the standards of "The X Factor" and what we want.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Wow. I`ve got to say, great to see Britney in so many different ways: the tough-talking Britney, the quick wit from her. And then, just there the empathetic friend. And it looks like she`s doing a great job, and she looks spectacular, as well, Megan. What do you think. Is Britney`s makeover working for you? I`m guessing it is.

MEGAN ALEXANDER, CORRESPONDENT, "INSIDE EDITION": I don`t know. The jury is still out. I don`t think she seemed very comfortable last night. I enjoyed the interaction between her and Demi, but I don`t think that she is not selling me with the fact that she really wants to be there.

As kooky as she was, Paula Abdul on "American Idol," no question she wanted that she loved Kelly Clarkson, she loved Carrie Underwood. She wanted these kids to succeed. I`m not convinced that Britney is in it 100 percent yet, but that has me watching.

HAMMER: Yes.

ALEXANDER: So we`ll have to stay tuned. But I don`t know. I wasn`t sold on her.

HAMMER: You know it takes a while to settle into a rhythm and get a groove going there, but you know, maybe Britney is afraid of the competition and she doesn`t want to help anyone along. Her big moment is going head to head with another major makeover, again right there on "The X Factor," because Britney`s fellow new judge, Demi Lovato, is at No. 2 on our "SHOWBIZ Countdown" of "Makeover Madness."

We all know that Demi has been a very open book about her trouble past. She`s battled eating disorders and depression. But her past has done a great thing. It`s become this inspiration to other young teens everywhere.

There was not a dry eye in the house when Demi rushed to the stage to hug this girl, who sang through her pain about being bullied. Let`s watch that together.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LOVATO: It`s OK. I know exactly what you`re going through. I made it through, and I know you can, too. That was amazing. Absolutely amazing.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Thank you. Give me another hug.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: That was a nice genuine moment here. A lot of tears were flying. And even our own stoic executive producer David Levine confessed that he teared up. If he teared up, I guess everybody was. From troubled teen to inspiration, there you have it, Demi. Do you think people will accept the idea of a transformed Demi as a mentor?

ALEXANDER: Absolutely. This to me was an authentic moment. She`s honest, she`s candid. A.J., this is what I`m talking about. Watch Britney as she`s looking at Demi and watching her comfort the contestant, having a true interaction moment. She comes across great. People appreciate that she`s speaking out, she`s encouraging others. That to me is kind of what the story is all about and what I want to see from the judges.

HAMMER: Well, we all know who she is, but you`ve got to think about this. It`s the first time a lot of people are seeing her on a big scale, because she used to be a star on the Disney Channel hit show, the one "Sunny with a Chance." Not everybody was aware of her, other than maybe seeing her in the tabloids, so really, a pretty big jump for her.

Sal, are you good with her extreme makeover?

MASEKELA: I think it`s interesting. I don`t think that, had she not gone through what she has with the rehab and what have you, I don`t think she`d be on this show.

And it`s interesting, because years ago having an incident like this could have been a career ender, but now it`s different. You know, people ask questions to see if you`re going to succeed. And I think it`s even more interesting that she happens to be sitting next to Britney Spears, who`s already gone through the beginning to the end. And she sort of gets the bump draft, you know, Britney`s big moment, and if she plays her cards right, this could be the best thing that ever happened to her.

But I do think it`s really interesting, because like you said, people outside of kids that watch Disney did not know who she was until she made headlines for something bad.

HAMMER: And look, the truth is what she went through and what Britney went through, both very formative for both of them, both a part of who they are and who they became. It is interesting, though, as you point out, not lost on us that the two of them both sitting next to each other went through some similar stuff.

All right. Now, from one young pop star to another hoping for a makeover, it is time for No. 1 on our "SHOWBIZ Countdown" of "Makeover Madness." The Biebs on a mission to prove he`s not just another teen heartthrob. Let us watch what he just told Ryan Seacrest on NBC`s "Rock Center."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JUSTIN BIEBER, POP STAR: I just don`t want to be just another teen heartthrob. Because that just annoys me to think that that`s what people will think of me. I just want to prove people wrong.

RYAN SEACREST, NBC`S "ROCK CENTER": Do you think you`ve made steps and taken steps to start doing that?

BIEBER: Yes, I think hearing older people say, wow, like this new album is great. Like, I didn`t know that was Justin Bieber, or "As Long as You Love Me," that`s Justin Bieber singing? Like, I like those reactions, because I feel like they`re judging me based on my music and not based on, you know, a flick of my hair.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Well, we like your hair, Justin.

All right, Sal. You heard Justin there. He doesn`t want to be a heartthrob any more, but he is the biggest pop star on the planet. Do you think he could pull this makeover off?

MASEKELA: In the immortal words of Justin Timberlake, cry me a river. I mean, look, he`s 18. He`s starting to, you know, feel his oats, and he feels like a man.

But at the end of the day, all the paper that he has made and the reason why he`s the biggest star in the world, outside the music, is the hair flick.

HAMMER: Thanks, Sal. Megan, thank you both so much.

Remember, you can catch Sal. He`s hosting Red Bull`s signature series, "U.S. Open of Surfing" Saturday on NBC. Check your local listings. Sal`s album, "Alakazam," available now on iTunes.

Well, the surf`s up while we count down tonight`s top five "Biggest Buzzmakers." Heidi Klum`s stunning confessions about her bodyguard love affair, versus the "Toddlers and Tiaras" mom who gave her little diva a fake cigarette. The top five "Biggest Buzzmakers" countdown, but which story is going to be No. 1?

And Jessica`s rotten rep? Did Jessica Simpson`s post-baby body revelation just backfire in a big way? The real deal in real time in the "Reputation Rap," coming up.

This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Tonight it`s Kanye the king. Kanye West just expanded his global effort for hip-hop domination. The rap superstar was nominated for 17 BET awards and get this: there are only 18 categories. He`s up for Producer of the Year, Hustler of the Year, Best Live Performance and on and on and on. I`m thinking Kim K. must be so proud.

Coming up, we`re going to take you inside the amazing 6,000-square- foot New York City home of world-famous designer Tommy Hilfiger. You have got to see his mansion in the sky.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Tonight, SHOWBIZ on location. It`s the final day of New York Fashion Week, and SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is taking you right in the middle of all the glamour.

So, have you ever wondered how the world`s most popular fashion designers live? Well, we`re taking you inside the home of iconic designer Tommy Hilfiger to show you where all his amazing fashion ideas are hatched. His New York City apartment is a mansion in the sky. It`s two stories, 6,000 square feet. Of course, he has priceless pieces of modern art. CNN`s fashion maven, Alina Cho, gives us a rare look at Tommy Hilfiger`s New York palace.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

TOMMY HILFIGER, DESIGNER: Did anybody cash this in?

ALINA CHO, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): Some call Tommy Hilfiger the king of fashion, but here at his home in New York...

(on camera) Wow, wow, wow.

(voice-over) ... he lives like a prince. The prince of the Plaza Hotel.

(on camera) Why the Plaza?

HILFIGER: Well, location is No. 1. But I also like the fact that it`s an iconic building.

CHO (voice-over): One of the most famous hotels in the world overlooking Central Park on New York`s famed Fifth Avenue. A two-story, 6,000-square-foot apartment that took three years to complete.

HILFIGER: We really wanted to go back to the way the Plaza was in the beginning when Truman Capote had the black and white ball.

CHO: Old-world charm.

HILFIGER: The original plaza had red carpets on the stairs.

CHO: With a modern twist. There`s contemporary art everywhere. Basquiat, Haring, and dozens and dozens of famous Warhols.

(on camera) Icons.

HILFIGER: Icons, yes. Because I like icons.

CHO (voice-over): Liz Taylor, Grace Kelly, Marilyn Monroe. Part of the allure is that Hilfiger knew Warhol, a man of few words.

HILFIGER: One time, I asked Andy, "Why do you do what you do"

He said, "Because I like it." That was it.

CHO: On our tour, we got a peek inside his private office.

HILFIGER: Actually, this is from the original "New York Times" building.

CHO (on camera): You`re kidding me.

(voice-over) There`s this.

HILFIGER: This is the Eloise Room. The Eloise Room is really the tower in the Plaza.

CHO: You know Eloise. She`s the fictional storybook character who wreaked havoc at the Plaza. Hilfiger commissioned the book`s illustrator to paint the mural in this room.

(on camera) Eloise was here for a reason.

There`s great room service.

(voice-over) Speaking of rooms...

(on camera) Wow, now this feels like the Plaza to me.

HILFIGER: Well, it`s sort of like our own hotel suite.

CHO (voice-over): With his and her closets.

HILFIGER: My own clothing store. Even though I wear the same thing every day.

CHO: That`s not all. The Hilfigers stay busy shuttling between three homes. In addition to New York, he and his wife Dee own homes in Greenwich, Connecticut, and this, called Palm Beach, on the island of Mystique (ph).

HILFIGER: I`ve always wanted to acquire trophy real estate.

CHO (on camera): Why?

HILFIGER: Because location, location, location is very important, and I think that as an investment, you can`t do better than that.

CHO (voice-over): His advice for living the good life on a budget?

HILFIGER: Buy what you like. And you can go to flea markets. You can go to rummage sales. You can go to antique places and find really, really great pieces for not a lot of money. And I think that if you surround yourself with the things you love, then it makes for a great home design.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: You can live the high life at any price point. That`s CNN`s Alina Cho for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Alina wasn`t just hanging with Tommy Hilfiger, of course. She spent the week with all of the biggest designers of New York Fashion Week. Make sure you get your fashion fix this weekend with Alina`s special, "Fashion: Backstage Pass." It`s Saturday on CNN at 2:30 Eastern.

Well, Tommy Hilfiger`s fashion reputation is sure flying high this week, but how is Jessica Simpson`s rep doing after all that backlash over her post-baby body reveal? The "Reputation Rap" is coming up next.

Plus, Heidi Klum`s shocking bodyguard romance versus that new tweet from a star of HBO`s "The Newsroom." We are counting down the top five "Biggest Buzzmakers" tonight. You`ve got to watch this and see which story grabs our top five.

Time now for the "SHOWBIZ Buzz List." Here`s what the SHOWBIZ staff is buzzing about this week.

Well, Fashion week in New York City just wrapped up. It was truly an amazing mix of fashion and Hollywood star power.

We are powering up for J.J. Abram`s brand-new drama "Revolution," about what happens to the world when it loses all of its electricity forever. Can you imagine that? The show looks great.

We`re also curling up with a good book for fall. It`s called "NW" by Zadie Smith, all about a friendship between two very different girls growing up in a tough area of northwest London.

We are psyched about Kanye West`s new compilation, "Cruel Summer." It features that much-talked-about Kim Kardashian song, the one called "A Perfect B." It`s coming out next week.

And our hearts continue to go on for James Cameron`s masterpiece, "Titanic." It is out now on 3-D and 2-D Blu-Ray.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LEONARDO DI CAPRIO, ACTOR: Open your eyes.

KATE WINSLET, ACTRESS: I`m flying.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Tonight Katie Couric`s ratings triumph. Katie`s brand-new talk show is blowing the competition out of the water, grabbing the biggest ratings for a syndicated talk show in a decade. So what is Katie`s ratings bonanza doing for her reputation?

Well, joining me right now with the exclusive reputation rundown in Hollywood, there he is, Robert Bragman, the vice chairman of Reputation.com.

So look, Robert, we all know that Katie is known for being perky. And her ratings numbers, well, they`re following suit: very perky numbers. Reputation.com now has Katie`s reputation numbers way up this week, as well. I need to know, Howard: How big a spike is she seeing?

HOWARD BRAGMAN, REPUTATION.COM: She`s seeing a huge spike. She`s trending at 78 percent positive, which is crazy huge, and this is just somebody who came off the "CBS Evening News" where she wasn`t such a ratings triumph there.

And Katie just happens to be one of the best interviewers on TV. There`s a void in the market, but at the same time, it`s a very crowded new talk show marketplace. Katie is the queen this week. She`s the queen of talk this week, A.J. That`s all you can say.

HAMMER: You know, Howard, she`s got to be over the moon about this. And here`s something that surprised me, though. Katie Couric`s magic didn`t rub off on Jessica Simpson this week. She was Katie`s first guest. She unveiled her post-baby body.

Did people think, I don`t know, that Jessica didn`t lose enough weight, as crazy as that sounds, or were they maybe ticked off at the less- than-revealing commercial that she ended up doing for Weight Watchers?

BRAGMAN: Well, I think the commercial has a lot to do with it. As we know, Weight Watchers did some commercials where they didn`t quite show her whole body. And she is looking better, and she is on the right path, and she has lost a lot of weight. And it`s healthy to lose weight slowly.

And frankly, I was surprised, too, A.J., because I thought that a lot of women and a lot of us in America struggle with losing weight. And I thought people would be a little more empathetic, but she`s trending kind of negative. It just didn`t work, as well, though I thought she was charming, and she was a really great guest.

HAMMER: I agree, people need to relax. That bummed me out a little bit.

All right.

BRAGMAN: Exactly.

HAMMER: These next stars, they`re having a good week after they shocked Hollywood with their surprise wedding. Of course, I`m talking about Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. So why did their secret ceremony, Howard, make them media darlings all of a sudden?

BRAGMAN: They handled it so well, so classy and it was such a wonderfully kept secret. And it wasn`t one of those relationships where every week you would see a story break somewhere and go, they`re getting married, they`ve gotten married. They handled it under the radar.

And people really like them as a couple. They`re a great, probably the most beautiful couple in Hollywood, or certainly one of the most beautiful couples. And they`ve handled it with a lot of class and dignity which we just don`t see often enough, and people responded by giving them a huge positive score, over three-quarters positive.

HAMMER: What are you talking about, no dignity in Hollywood? Howard, I have no idea what you mean by that. But thank you for your insight. Reputation.com`s Howard Bragman. Great to talk to you, as always.

Here`s what`s coming up at the bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. The stunning "Toddlers and Tiaras" smoking scandal, versus Prince William and Kate`s royal baby bonanza? Smoking toddler divas versus a royal baby bump? Well, we are counting down the top five "Biggest Buzzmakers" tonight. Of course, the question remains and you will find out, which one will be No. 1?

This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KATIE COURIC, TALK SHOW HOST: You are in a relationship right now.

HEIDI KLUM, HOST, "PROJECT RUNWAY": I don`t even know if I can call it that. I don`t know. You know, it just started, so I don`t know.

I trust him, I trust my children -- I mean, I trust him with my children`s life.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Right now on the "SHOWBIZ Countdown," Heidi Klum`s bodyguard romance confession versus "The Newsroom" star who accidentally tweeted a topless photo of herself. We are counting down the top five "Biggest Buzzmakers" tonight. Which one will be No. 1?

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT continues right now.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Thanks for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer. And tonight we are kicking the SHOWBIZ countdown showbiz of today`s top five "Biggest Buzzmakers" off with number five and HLN`s Nancy Grace. With her remarkable grilling of "Toddlers & Tiaras" mom Lisa Christian, for allowing her 4-year-old daughter to pretend to smoke a cigarette during one of her competitions. Yes, little Destiny. She was made up to look like Sandee there from the movie "Grease."

But watch how this plays out.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LISA CHRISTIAN, DESTINY`S MOTHER: I don`t think I`ll get criticized for the cigarette. You know, Sandee was a good girl, she didn`t smoke either. But she used it for image. So I believe everything will go well.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Well, she was wrong about that. With me from Hollywood, Michael McDonald. Michael is going to be performing standup at the Roxy in Los Angeles on Tuesday, September 18th, make sure you catch him there. His hit Showtime special "Model Citizen" is out on DVD right now.

With me in New York, Megan Alexander, who is a correspondent for "Inside Edition." And I don`t know about you guys, but I have got to hand it to Nancy Grace. She really grilled Destiny`s mom on her show right here on HLN, asking her why she thought it`s OK to have your 4-year-old pretend to smoke. I want you to buckle your seat belt now for a major grilling.

Watch how Destiny`s mom defends what she did and what happens next.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CHRISTIAN: It was just a prop. Nothing more, nothing less. It was a fake piece of paper rolled up.

NANCY GRACE, HOST, "NANCY GRACE": Well, would you consider putting a fake gun in her hand or a fake machete or a fake machine gun?

(CROSSTALK)

CHRISTIAN: There is nothing wrong with a child.

GRACE: Actually, mine do not. Mine do not play cops and robbers. Mine don`t even have pretend guns. We don`t even say G-U-N because my fiancee was murdered with a handgun many, many years ago, so we don`t play guns.

CHRISTIAN: But, again, that is to each their own. What I do with my child may not be what you do with yours.

GRACE: That is so true. But does it like ring in your mind or flash a red sign of alarm that legislatures have outlawed minors and cigarettes and you have your daughter pretending to smoke? And I believe your words were, "don`t forget to smoke."

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Nice! Go, Nancy! You see right there why SHOWBIZ TONIGHT had really no choice but to kick off our countdown with Nancy Grace, one of our biggest "Buzzmakers."

Hey, Megan, it`s Nancy doing what she does, but is there any excuse for this mom to think, hey, it`s OK for her daughter to pose with a cigarette?

MEGAN ALEXANDER, CORRESPONDENT, "INSIDE EDITION": Not at all, and I think so many of us have been waiting for this interview. Nobody can do it like Nancy Grace, A.J. At one point I honestly felt a little bit sorry for this mother, because I don`t think she comprehends what she`s doing. I just think, A.J., some of these folks on this show, they`re so out there.

But then Nancy brings it back around and says, hey, think about this, this, this, and there`s no argument. So she let her have it and this needed to happen, I think.

HAMMER: Yes, I think it did.

Michael, I want to get your take on this. I mean, the term "smoke `em if you got `em" doesn`t apply to 4-year-olds, right?

MICHAEL MCDONALD, COMEDIAN: Well, as you know, "Toddlers & Tiaras" is basically child abuse with commercial breaks.

(LAUGHTER)

HAMMER: Yes.

MCDONALD: I want to know why they left out the part when she defended the smoking to Nancy and said, well, normally I have her have medical marijuana, and that`s prescribed by a doctor.

HAMMER: She did not do that.

MCDONALD: She didn`t? I was watching a different show.

HAMMER: You must be thinking of a different show. But I get your point that.

MCDONALD: OK. That was a different show.

(CROSSTALK)

HAMMER: We`ll move from Nancy`s "Buzzmaking" interview to Heidi Klum`s "Buzzmaking" confession. It`s about her dating life after divorce. This is number four on the SHOWBIZ countdown of today`s "Biggest Buzzmakers." Heidi Klum revealing to Katie Couric on her new talk show about her love life.

There was so much buzz today over the fact that Katie got Heidi to respond to her soon-to-be ex-husband Seal, who accused getting her to admit to seeing the bodyguard. Seal, who accused Heidi of fornicating with the help, namely with their bodyguard.

Now Heidi told Katie she didn`t even look at another man while she was with Seal, but now that they`ve split, she has moved on and she is involved with "something," as she put it.

Let`s watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KATIE COURIC, HOST, "KATIE": You are in a relationship right now.

HEIDI KLUM, MODEL: I don`t even know if I can even call it that. I don`t know, you know, it just started, so I don`t know. I don`t know where it`s going to go.

COURIC: And it`s with someone who works with you, your bodyguard, this gentleman?

KLUM: Yes.

COURIC: And you`ve known him for a long time?

KLUM: I`ve known him for four years. He`s been with our family for the last four years. He`s cared for our entire family, mostly for our four children. Helped us tremendously. I trust him. I trust my children -- I mean, I trust him with children`s life.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Which is terrific. I`m glad she does, but I must tell you, I`m still surprised that Heidi actually confessed that she`s involved with the bodyguard, Megan. Did she really need to do that?

ALEXANDER: Well, I don`t know. I think so many of us were like, no, when Seal tweeted that comment about Heidi and the help. We hate to see these divorces get ugly, A.J., especially when there`s kids involved. This was a couple that seemed so very much in love, from the renewing their vows every year to the Halloween party.

I wonder if Heidi felt like she needed to say something after Seal made that comment, she felt she needed to defend herself. I`ve always been a big Heidi Klum fan, so I thought she did the best she could getting these questions.

HAMMER: I agree with you in part, I think that she did need to respond after Seal put out the whole fornication statement. But at the same time, sometimes you can take the high road and say, you know what, I just don`t want to talk about it.

Because, you know, Heidi has got the young kids that she speaks of, and I`m glad the bodyguard knows them and has this relationship. But eventually they`ll be out there on the Google, they`ll pull up the search, they`ll get mommy`s interview with Katie, and she talks about dating the family bodyguard, I`m guessing, long after he`s gone.

Michael, do you think she really needed to do that?

MCDONALD: I guess the trick really is, was this after they broke up or was it during when she was still married to Seal?

HAMMER: She claims that it was after they broke up. She didn`t look at another man while she was with the Seal.

MCDONALD: Well, then I guess I don`t have much of a problem with it. I mean, why can`t you date somebody else after one relationship is gone?

(CROSSTALK)

HAMMER: Oh, the dating is not the issue as much as it is talking about it and revealing it to the world all of a sudden to Katie Couric.

MCDONALD: But how do you survive the grilling of Katie Couric?

HAMMER: Well, yes, there is that. She is perky. You do want to answer her questions.

MCDONALD: It`s very hard to resist.

HAMMER: It is. All right. Let`s move to number three on our SHOWBIZ countdown. It`s a royal "Buzzmaker" tonight. Prince William`s and Kate`s royal baby bonanza. Well, listen to this. The duchess of Cambridge reportedly just turned down wine at a state banquet in Singapore. Can you imagine that?

And when Prince William was asked how many kids he wants, the prince said he would like to have two. So add that all up, Megan, and I`m right here doing it on my SHOWBIZ calculator, you have a "Buzzmaking" baby bonanza coming from the royals.

But are you buying that Kate is pregnant, as so many people now think, simply because she had water instead of wine? And by the way, I looked for a baby bump, didn`t see one.

ALEXANDER: No, but I want to buy it so I`m going to say yes, because I, like the 3 billion people that watched the royal wedding, are so excited for this couple to start their family. She refused wine twice, A.J., too, not once, but twice, we`re told on this trip.

So listen, the media is having so much fun with this couple. And what girl doesn`t like the guy commenting on the family and he wants to have two kids? It`s just so completely romantic.

HAMMER: Yes, that is nice. But, Michael McDonald, can someone not refuse wine anymore without accusations of pregnancy?

MCDONALD: Well, I would just accuse them of being a bad party guest. Because I really like to hang out with alcoholics.

(LAUGHTER)

MCDONALD: But I don`t know why people care so much about them. I don`t understand the British thing. I`m not one of those people that`s into the royal anybody. I don`t get it. When we have our own royalty like "Honey Boo Boo" and the smoking people on "Toddlers & Tiaras," I don`t know why we`re comparing.

HAMMER: Well, you know, it`s the Brits, I guess. We still haven`t revealed what`s number one on our SHOWBIZ countdown tonight of the "Biggest Buzzmakers," so Michael and Megan, please stay right where you are, just moments from revealing who made the top spot tonight.

But first, they`re back. We`re talking about YouTube sensation Sophia Grace and Rosie hosting "Tea Time with Katy Perry" on "The Ellen Show."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: (INAUDIBLE)

KATY PERRY, MUSICIAN: You can.

(SINGING)

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Too bad they`re so shy. Sophia Grace and Rosie sing and have tea with Katy Perry. The can`t-miss moment you have got to see, I`m going to show it to you. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT continues our countdown of the day`s top five "Biggest Buzzmakers." Here`s our top five so far. In at number five, yes, HLN`s own Nancy Grace just drilling a mom from "Toddlers & Tiaras" for having her 4-year-old smoke a fake cigarette on stage.

Number four, Heidi Klum admitting on Katie Couric`s new talk show that, yes, she`s dating her bodyguard.

Coming in at number three, all the frenzy over Prince William and Kate`s possible baby-making plans.

Bringing us to number two on the SHOWBIZ countdown tonight of the day`s "Biggest Buzzmakers," a star of one of my favorite new shows, HBO`s "The Newsroom," accidentally tweets an embarrassing photo of herself. Look at this thing, that`s Alison Pill right there. She plays Maggie on the Aaron Sorkin drama.

And yesterday, Alison meant to delete this topless photo of herself. What did she do? Well, she tweeted it out instead to her 17,000 followers. She did immediately take it down. She later sent out a tweet owning up to the mistake.

I want to bring back standup comedian Michael McDonald in Hollywood. In New York it`s Megan Alexander from "Inside Edition." And once again, guys, a star has simply flat out ignored SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s number one law of living in Hollywood, so I thought I would put it up again in hopes our message will stick this time, perhaps help someone.

If you`re famous and you take a nude photo or video of yourself, it will get out. Michael, please, help me understand, why do stars continue to ignore this rule?

MCDONALD: Well, I don`t know if you know this or not, but actors and actresses are very needy, and they are very self-obsessed. So I don`t think you can really get -- you can`t get to us at all with your logic and your tales of self-respect.

But how many followers does she have now? That`s what I want to know.

HAMMER: Here we go. Let me tell you. And by the way, first of all, to her credit, Alison did own up to the Twitter mishap, but, yes, I would say the silver lining for her here is that, even if it`s for all the wrong reasons, she did gain at least 5,000 new Twitter followers since the topless tweet when I last checked.

So, Megan, what do you think of how Alison handled her Twitter fail and quite frankly how it paid off for her?

ALEXANDER: Well, listen, she handled it fine, but the lesson here is she took back that tweet, but the photo is out in the universe now. It is out on the Internet for good. So all the kids watching, don`t forget, you can`t just take back a tweet, once the photo is out there, it`s out there.

And second, do we know who she -- so she tweeted out the photo but was trying to delete it, just don`t ever take any pictures. Don`t do it.

HAMMER: Well, that`s the rule, and the thing is, I have to believe -- and maybe I`m way off on this, that she`s simply mortified. Because here she is on a brand new hit show, her career is about to really take off, and the topless photo is out there.

But I digress because we must get on to today number one "Buzzmaker." "Saturday Night Live" getting a new President Obama.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

FRED ARMISEN, "BARACK OBAMA": Even though I always thought I was born here, lately I`ve begun to have my doubts.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Well, Fred Armisen has been playing President Obama since 2007, but SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has now confirmed that in SNL`s new season, which begins this Saturday, by the way, the Obama duties will fall to another cast member, third-year cast member Jay Pharoah, who I think is terrifically funny. He`s SNL`s new Obama.

And for years he`s been playing the president in his stand-up act. So this is something he`s accustomed to. Check out this clip. It`s where he imagines how the president may have picked up girls in college.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JAY PHAROAH, "BARACK OBAMA": Hey you over there, I said, hey you, over there, come here. I want to talk to you. I say, I want to talk to you. Now, I`ve been noticing you. So let`s just cut to the chase. In my dorm room, I have got a bottle of Jack Daniels and all the chicken you can eat. And whatever happens, we can just blame it on alcohol.

(LAUGHTER)

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: OK. So there you have it, Fred Armisen out, Jay Pharoah, as you see, in, SNL`s new Obama.

Michael, we`re living in your world now. Good or bad choice here?

MCDONALD: Coming from the world of sketch comedy, I can say I think it`s a win-win for both the guys. Because Fred Armisen, who is really talented, is probably tired of doing it after, whatever, four years of it. And I`m a huge fan of Jay Pharoah, and I think he`ll knock it out of the park.

HAMMER: I have no question about that. I see you smiling, Megan, so I`m guessing you`re feeling exactly the same thing. Appreciate your guys` insight tonight. That is number one. And Megan Alexander, comedian Michael McDonald, always great to have you here.

Once again, Michael is performing at the Roxy in Los Angeles next Tuesday, and his Showtime special called "Model Citizen" is now available for you to check out on DVD.

Well, tonight, the best streaker ever? Wait until you see this. It`s the unbelievable must-see video of a super streaker`s naked ambition.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JEANNE MOOS, CNN CORRESPONDENT: The reviews are in, a masterpiece we`ll be talking about for years. Watch this magic.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: He is called the "Seminole Streaker." We`re going to tell you why he`s blazed a new trail for all the fans who love to rock their birthday suits on the field. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: What is Britney thinking? Maybe you can tell us. Britney Spears just immortalized her hand prints and signature at Grauman`s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. And now I want you to fill in the thought bubbles, OK? You need to tell us what you think was going through Britney`s mind at this exact moment.

Well, to do that, please head to hlntv.com/showbiztonight. Give us your answer and we`ll reveal our favorites right here tomorrow night at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Did you see this? It`s the guy that might very well be the best streaker ever. You`ve seen them hit the field on television in all their naked glory. I`m talking about the sports uber fans who try to steal the spotlight by showcasing their birthday suits on the field.

Now streakers rarely get away with their skin-tastic shenanigans, but tonight we`ve got the story of one guy who may very well be the best streaker of all time.

Here is CNN`s Jeanne Moos, fully clothed, for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

MOOS (voice-over): The reviews are in. A masterpiece we`ll be talking about for years. Watch this magic.

(on camera): But those aren`t reviews of some blockbuster movie, those are reviews of a streaker.

(voice-over): There Spider-Man goes, it`s a Seminole High School homecoming game in Florida. Crossing the 20, but usually they don`t do it so perfectly.

After jumping the first fence, naked Spider-Man jumped a second fence. Then the cherry on the cake, a getaway car pulls up and off he goes, leaving security peering through the fence. No wonder the "Seminole Streaker" is feeling the love on his Facebook fan page.

So much of this deserves an instant replay, for instance, when the announcer suggests we watch Pinellas County`s finest give chase. The security guy bit the dust, but he did manage to get up and scale the fence. Imagine doing that naked. "He`s lucky he didn`t injure his Seminole," posted an admired on YouTube.

Back when streaking was at its peak in the `70s, it even had its own anthem.

(MUSIC PLAYING, "THE STREAK")

MOOS: Still, how many streakers have had getaway vehicles?

(on camera): But the getaway car gave him away. Police got a partial license plate number and arrested the student, his identity withheld because he`s under age.

SGT. DAVID DISANO, PINELLAS COUNTY SHERIFF`S OFFICE: Two charges that he has been charged against were exposure of sexual organs and the obstruction of justice.

MOOS (voice-over): We plead guilty to obstructing the view of Spider- Man`s backfield in motion.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Yes, sorry we have to do that, but I love it. A streaker with a getaway car. That was CNN`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Coming up next, we have YouTube sensations Sophia Grace and Rosie sitting down for tea with Katy Perry today. And oh yes, there will be singing. You`ve got to see this.
