A.J. HAMMER, HOST: Tonight on the "SHOWBIZ Countdown," Cheers and Jeers. Lady Gaga reveals that she`s gained 25 pounds.

Plus, "Dancing with the Stars" pro Maksim says he`s leaving the show. But which story is getting our biggest "Cheers and Jeers"

Hello, thanks for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer.

We`ve got two big "SHOWBIZ Countdowns" tonight. We`ve got a countdown of today`s top five "Biggest Buzz Makers of Day."

Now, you`ve got Jennifer Aniston`s hilarious pregnant parody versus Giuliana Rancic`s brand-new baby revelations. Which one will be No. 1? Our big reveal is coming your way.

But we begin with our first "SHOWBIZ Countdown," and the "Cheers and Jeers" of the night. The top three stars that have us on our feet. Who`s getting applause tonight? Who is it?

We begin with No. 3 on the countdown. "Dancing with the Stars" pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy announcing he`s leaving the show after his contract ends.

Now, we love Maks on the show, so we`re giving this news big jeers tonight. I really want to know what experts have to say about it. With me from Miami, comedian Bill Bellamy. The great Bill Bellamy can be seen in the new sitcom "Mr. Box Office." It premiers tomorrow night. You`ve got to check your local listings and times and stations and see all that.

With me in New York, the always delightful Rachel Zalis, contributing editor of "Life & Style Weekly."

So guys, Maks is not leaving until his contract ends in two more cycles of the show. But Rachel, no more dancing Maks. Can it be? I realize the show can certainly go on, but it`s actually a big hit to the cast, isn`t it?

RACHEL ZALIS, CONTRIBUTING EDITOR, "LIFE & STYLE WEEKLY": I don`t know. I mean, whose bare chest am I going to watch every week? This is going to be a huge loss to viewers.

But I have to say, I do have to give him a bit of a jeer. It`s like I get it. It`s the seven-year itch. People want to move on. Julianne Hough has become a major movie star. Other dancers want to be in the same spotlight.

But he has such lack of humility and appreciation for how much the show has done for him, in the way that he announced it, that I think he could, you know, do a little better in that department.

HAMMER: Yes. I mean, people have said along the way Maks kind of needs to get his ego in check, and as fantastic of a dancer as he is, he always seems to be embroiled in some kind of a controversy on the show. And of course, we remember just recently his former dancing partner, Hope Solo, accused him of slapping her. He denied it, of course.

But there was also another off-the-cuff Maks moment that we simply cannot forget.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LEN GOODMAN, JUDGE, ABC`S "DANCING WITH THE STARS": I`ve been in this business for nearly 50 years. My --

MAKSIM CHMERKOVSKIY, PROFESSIONAL DANCER, ABC`S "DANCING WITH THE STARS": Maybe it`s time to go.

GOODMAN: -- criteria to judge is difference.

CARRIE ANN INABA, JUDGE, ABC`S "DANCING WITH THE STARS": Don`t be disrespectful like that.

CHMERKOVSKIY: Let`s not be disrespectful to everybody, right? Because everybody`s putting a lot of effort. Everybody on that balcony has been dying and killing themselves only to hear your guys, a little judgmental comments. You know what I mean?

INABA: That is our job.

CHMERKOVSKIY: I`m not being disrespectful. I`m just protecting my partner.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Bill, I mean, they were really going at it there. Do you think, perhaps, some fans might actually be cheering for the end to the Maks drama?

BILL BELLAMY, COMEDIAN: I think a lot of people don`t care that Maks is leaving. That`s like the third dude from `N Sync leaving. It`s not -- you know what I mean? It`s just not Justin Timberlake.

So Maks leaving to me is a jeer because the show, the show doesn`t really - - it`s not going to stop anything. The show is a machine. It goes on. I mean, God bless him if he becomes a huge movie star.

HAMMER: Yes. Let`s see if that -- right, exactly. I saw that look.

Well, look, Rachel, I`m sure you`ll find another bare chest to stare at through the course of the season when he`s gone.

BELLAMY: Yes.

ZALIS: Bill, maybe you. You need to go on it.

BELLAMY: I mean, I wouldn`t mind going on there, you know, showing my eight abs, you know, the whole nine. But I`m too silly. I`m too silly. Like, those guys start taking themselves too serious. You`re on a dance show. You`re a dancer. Supposed to dance. You`re not supposed to be, like, " put too much effort, and I feel" -- oh.

HAMMER: No, Bill, they`re very serious about their craft.

But I want to move on from -- I want to move on from your eight abs to -- and Maks` bombshell to a pop star stunner, No. 2 on our "SHOWBIZ Countdown."

Let`s talk about Lady Gaga`s fuller figure. Now, we know Gaga is known for turning heads because of her always outrageous style. Everybody`s really talking now about how she looks so great and different on stage.

BELLAMY: What?

HAMMER: Let`s watch what she said about gaining weight on "Elvis Duran in the Morning" show. This was back in June.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LADY GAGA, SINGER: I`m dieting right now, but my God, I think I gained, like, 25 pounds over Christmas.

ELVIS DURAN, RADIO HOST: That a girl. That a girl.

LADY GAGA: And, you know, I really don`t feel bad about it. Not even for a second. Like, I have to be on such a strict diet constantly. And you know, it`s hard on the "Born This Way" tour especially, because it`s a quite vigorous show. So I tend to, like, bulk up and get muscular, and I really don`t like that. So I`m trying to -- I`m trying now to find -- trying to find a new balance.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Found a new balance. We`re cheering for Gaga for not at all feeling bad about gaining some weight. And she does seem to be taking this balanced approach to her health. Rachel, you got to be cheering for Gaga with me.

ZALIS: Totally cheering for Gaga. I mean, the only huge thing I see about her is her talent. And that`s all I really care about. I mean, if she doesn`t want to eat carrots and work out two times a day, like good for her. Have cocktails, calzones, hang out with your boyfriend. Have fun, enjoy life.

HAMMER: Calzone, foccacia, please. Cheers for Gaga, jeers from her critics. You heard Gaga, Bill. On the road constantly, traveling, touring. Something you obviously can relate to. Being a comedian, you`re out there all the time. Should the critics just cut her a break?

BELLAMY: I think the critics should cut her a break. I mean, to all the big girls out there that like to eat, Gaga is really, really, like, you know, really getting the support of the big girls. There`s a lot of women out here that like to eat, like sometimes they don`t want to be on a diet. I give her cheers for that.

The jeer is if you`re going to get 25 to 30 pounds heavier, you got to change your name from Lady Gaga to Lady Oh My Gaga. Got to change it.

HAMMER: No, she`s not there. Not there at all. I think she`s doing great.

All right. I want to move on now.

BELLAMY: No, she`ll be fine. She`ll be fine.

HAMMER: She`ll be fine.

Here comes No. 1 in our SHOWBIZ Countdown of "Cheers and Jeers." And what a story this is. It`s Robin Roberts` brave battle.

Today, right before our very eyes, with cameras rolling, the "Good Morning America" host just received her bone marrow transplant. It was such an emotional moment. Her friends, her family, including co-host Sam Champion and news anchor Diane Sawyer right there by her side. Let`s watch this moment together.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Now is a good time to say, "Go, Sally, go."

ROBIN ROBERTS, HOST, "GOOD MORNING AMERICA": I now have Sally, you`re in me. You`re in me.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I tell you what --

ROBERTS: What happens now?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Well, I think that when you see the health, the excellent health, you will realize, I had to go through it to get to this.

ROBERTS: I will now wait and anxiously watch and see what happens. The next seven, ten days, my counts will continue to go up, and we`ll be on to phase three which will be get out of here. Get out of here. And go home.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: And you know she`s got medications going on there. She is fighting through it. So she can send a message. And really show people that it can be done and you can get through it.

Robin, you know how I feel about you. I`m so happy to see you`re doing well through all this.

Obviously, we`re all cheering for Robin`s recovery.

BELLAMY: Absolutely.

HAMMER: Rachel, what an incredible show of strength. Can you imagine going through something of this magnitude with the whole world looking on?

ZALIS: I mean, she is so incredibly courageous. There`s no wonder why she`s become one of the most popular and beloved personalities on TV. I mean, the last few years between the cancer and losing her mother and this blood disorder has been so trying and traumatic for her. And we can only just send all our love and best wishes and thoughts and hope she comes through with a speedy recovery. We love her.

HAMMER: And I think she will. And I have to say, who among us doesn`t watch her in these video clips and wonder, could we possibly go on television when we`re going through something so traumatic?

BELLAMY: Right.

HAMMER: I mean, Bill, would you be able to pull something like that off? I`d like to believe I could. I don`t know if I could. That just gives me so much more good feelings about her.

BELLAMY: Where I want to give Robin Roberts super cheers because she is a testament of just pure will and just the support of fans and love and prayer. Because everyone has struggles. You know what I mean? Even celebrities. You know, people that we admire, watching TV, movies. They have their struggles.

HAMMER: It makes -- it makes her that much more real. Keep going, Robin.

BELLAMY: Absolutely.

HAMMER: Bill Bellamy, Rachel Zalis, thank you both so much. Make sure you catch Bill performing this weekend if you happen to be in West Palm Beach Florida. He`s at the Improv.

BELLAMY: Thank you, man.

HAMMER: Coming up, another blockbuster countdown of our top five "Biggest Buzz Makers," including this gem.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JENNIFER ANISTON, ACTRESS: Good night, Rachel.

Oh, God.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Tonight, does Jen Aniston wear a wig? It`s her hilarious new viral video that has sparked incredible buzz. But was it more buzzed about than Trump firing Obama in another outrageous video?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DONALD TRUMP, REAL ESTATE MOGUL: You had some clear objectives when you took the reins. You promised hope and change. How did you do there?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: It`s Trump versus Aniston. Which story has people talking most? You`ll find out in the "SHOWBIZ Countdown," our top five "Biggest Buzz Makers." This is "SHOWBIZ tonight" on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Tonight, Lindsay as Liz. I`ve got your very first look at Lindsay Lohan in the Lifetime movie "Liz and Dick" where she plays legendary big- screen icon Elizabeth Taylor.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That woman knows how to make an entrance.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: They drink, they fight, they fornicate.

LINDSAY LOHAN, ACTRESS: I hate you.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You just ended your fourth marriage?

LOHAN: Who`s counting?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: "Liz and Dick."

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Coming up, my one-on-one with Justin Bieber`s mom. She tells me what it`s really like to be the mom of a worldwide superstar.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Time now for "SHOWBIZ Say What?" Tonight, we go inside Mariah Carey`s mind with a little help from you. So what is Mariah Carey thinking in his photo?

Mariah was out and about in New York City this week fulfilling her duty as one of the new judges on "American Idol." And we asked you to fill in the thought bubbles on HLNTV.com.

Here are some of our favorites, Lynn K. writing, "I`m sexy and I know it." And we heard this from Brenda K., who said, "Angelina thinks her leg is so great." I wonder if that was Brenda K. Starr?

Keep looking for "SHOWBIZ Say What?" on our Web site. Head to HLNTV.com/SHOWBIZtonight with your answers.

And now from one superstar to another. I`m talking about teen heartthrob Justin Bieber, whose mom just published a bombshell book, "Nowhere But Up." She opens up about addiction, sexual abuse and what it`s like to be the mom of a world-famous pop star.

Well, I went one-on-one with Pattie Mallette today, and she made an amazing revelation to me about how much her superstar son`s love means to her.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PATTIE MALLETTE, JUSTIN BIEBER`S MOM: I love hearing, you know, just words of affirmation from him and he just wrote that song "Turn to You" for my birthday. Released it on Mother`s Day. Did you hear it?

HAMMER: I did hear it. Right. And for you, the idea that he`s this big global superstar, that doesn`t even come into play.

MALLETTE: He`s Justin. I changed his diapers.

HAMMER: When he writes a song like that for you.

MALLETTE: Yes.

HAMMER: It`s your kid.

MALLETTE: Yes.

HAMMER: That has to be the most amazing feeling.

MALLETTE: It is.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes. I`ve got to imagine millions of teenage girls around the world could go crazy if Justin Bieber actually sat down and wrote a song about them.

Monday on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, Justin Bieber`s mom revealing even more incredible new details about being the mother of the most famous pop star in the world.

Moving now to Emmy fever. The primetime Emmy Awards happen this Sunday. There`s no doubt of course the actors, the cast, crews of the nominated shows are anxious to see if all their hard work has paid off. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner is going to be right there at the Emmys.

And Nischelle, when I say hard work, I`m talking the devil truly is in the details, isn`t it?

NISCHELLE TURNER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT CORRESPONDENT: Uh-huh. Oh, absolutely, A.J. It`s all about the details.

Now, there are so many sophisticated dramas, based in different time periods this season. They`ve got people scouring for clothes, sets and even inventing languages. No stone is left unturned to perfect what you see on your favorite shows, and that is making the Emmy races as tight as they can be.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We built this town.

TURNER (voice-over): From 1920s Atlantic City in "Boardwalk Empire" to the detailed costumes and set design of "Mad Men" and "Downton Abbey" and even an invented language in the fantasy series "Game of Thrones."

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: (speaking foreign language)

TURNER: Creators behind many of this year`s Emmy-nominated dramas have gone to great lengths to ensure historical accuracy and authenticity in their shows.

JESSICA SHAW, "ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY": These are done with impeccable precision.

TURNER: "Entertainment Weekly`s" Jessica Shaw says for audiences these days, the drama is in the details.

SHAW: On "Boardwalk Empire," they literally found special woolens to make the suits for some of the characters. On "Mad Men" everything is custom made. It`s not like they go to Bloomingdales and they`re like, "Oh, this looks like a `50s, early `60s suit. We`re going to buy this and put it on Jon Hamm." It`s not even close to that.

TURNER: When immaculate sets and custom wardrobes aren`t enough, sometimes a whole new language is required.

DAVID J. PETERSON, LINGUIST: (SPEAKING FOREIGN LANGUAGE)

TURNER: David J. Peterson works as a linguist on "Game of Thrones." He created the language for the Dothraki, a fictional clan of horse-mounted warriors. He got the job when producers wanted structure and authentic dialogue instead of just gibberish.

PETERSON: I get chunks of scripts, and I see the lines and then, you know, I do a translation. And then I record all the lines on MP3. (SPEAKING FOREIGN LANGUAGE) So they can just take the MP3s, listen to them, and then see where they can add their own inflection.

TURNER: Peterson says the Dothraki dictionary has about 3,500 words and is growing, which should please savvy viewers.

PETERSON: With a television show like this that`s going to include a fictional culture and a fictional language, you absolutely have to do it authentically. The second you try to put, you know, like, you know, just a bit of gibberish in the mouths of a foreign group, there`s going to be somebody online that`s taking it down word for word that`s going to say, "Wait a minute, this doesn`t match up." They find that unsatisfying.

TURNER: Shaw agrees and says satisfaction will come for these dramas on Emmy night.

SHAW: They`re really doing their homework. And Emmy voters can tell. And I think they`re definitely going to award that.

JON HAMM, ACTOR: I assume that`s flattering.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

TURNER: So cool, A.J. And you know what else is very cool? I`m going to be on the Emmys red carpet this Sunday, and I will be talking to all of the big nominees.

HAMMER: OK. And if Brian Cranston tells you from "Breaking Bad" that he`s got a pocket full of crystal meth, he`s just kidding. I`m just here to tell you that. It`s just a joke.

Nischelle Turner, thank you so much. Can`t wait to see you from the Emmy Awards.

Well, we move on tonight to big Gangnam controversy.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(MUSIC: PSY`S "GANGNAM STYLE")

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Did Korean YouTube sensation Psy actually get a couple of lifeguards fired with his famous dance? I`m going to tell you why "Gangnam Style" isn`t safe for everyone.

But will Psy outdo the Reege? Regis Philbin making a surprise return to daytime TV. But did he make the right move? And is his new gig the talk of the town? You`ll find out if Regis Philbin`s big return outdoes "Gangnam" controversy. It`s the top five Biggest Buzz Makers.

This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Tonight, brand-new evidence that Duchess Catherine Middleton might have actually benefited from that whole topless photo scandal.

Plus why are "Twilight" fans rejoicing after reports that Robert Pattinson and Kristin Stewart have reunited?

Joining me now with the official reputation rundown is Howard Bragman, the vice chairman of Reputation.com. Howard is in New York tonight.

And Howard, I thought it was nothing but a tough week for the duchess after those photos went public. Did she get the photos pulled? Yes. Did she get her lawyers on the case? Yes. Now, her reputation is soaring, up 75 percent. But is that because of the pictures? Or because of how she reacted to them?

HOWARD BRAGMAN, VICE CHAIRMAN, REPUTATION.COM: I think people feel bad. I think people genuinely feel that her privacy was violated. It wasn`t -- she was at a private residence. She was far away. It wasn`t like Prince Harry where people weren`t quite as sympathetic.

HAMMER: Yes.

BRAGMAN: And you know, you say the pictures are pulled. Once it`s on the Internet, as I always say, you can`t put the toothpaste back in the tube, A.J.

HAMMER: Well, that is unfortunately true, as every star who`s ever had a picture out there knows.

OK. There`s also big R. Patz and K. Stew news this week, "People" magazine reporting they`ve reunited, Howard. And I find this surprising, too. The reputation, as a couple up 69 percent is where it`s hanging now despite her cheating. How does that happen?

BRAGMAN: People love them as a couple. They love the franchise. They love them together. Not only is the number up, but the buzz is up, like three times. People want it.

I hope they can work it out. I really can. They`re young. Lots of people make mistake in relationships.

HAMMER: Yes, all right. Well --

BRAGMAN: So we`re on their side. And so is the public.

HAMMER: We`re definitely on their side. I`m just surprised. I`m glad it`s a positive reaction.

And there`s no surprise here, the Lohans, Dina and Lindsay, their reputation taking a hit this week. Eighty-one percent negative buzz. I imagine negative territory is not unusual for them, Howard, but why is it so particularly bad this week?

BRAGMAN: Well, their baseline is, of course, always below 50 percent positive. You know, Lindsay had an alleged hit-and-run in New York this week, and people are saying, why does this girl have a driver`s license?

And Dina went on "Dr. Phil" and people speculated she might have had a martini or two before.

HAMMER: Yes.

BRAGMAN: And she didn`t look real coherent.

HAMMER: No.

BRAGMAN: It`s not for me to say, but the public believed that she wasn`t at her best.

HAMMER: I would say that`s accurate. Howard Bragman, great to see you as always. Thank you.

BRAGMAN: Thank you.

HAMMER: We`ve got to move on tonight and ask the question, does Jennifer Aniston really swim in a pool of bottled water?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ANISTON: Oh, this looks so great. Oh. It`s perfect.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes, is Jennifer Aniston`s must-see hilarious spoof of the tacky tabloid headlines about her life going to be on top tonight? Makes me want to see her back in a sitcom.

Is it more buzz worthy than the big Gangnam controversy? Did Korean YouTube sensation Psy actually get a couple of lifeguards fired? We`re going to tell you the story that might outdo Jennifer Aniston`s viral video in the "SHOWBIZ Countdown," "The Biggest Buzz Makers."

This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ANISTON: Good night, Rachel. Oh, God.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Right now, the "SHOWBIZ Countdown," "Biggest Buzz Makers." Jennifer Aniston`s wig collection? It`s Jen`s hilarious spoof of the wildest tabloid rumors about her.

And Donald Trump tells the president, "You`re fired."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TRUMP: You had some clear objectives when you took the reins. You promised hope and change. How did you do there?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: The surreal and secret video that got bumped at the Republican National Convention, revealed. But will the Donald be No. 1 as we count down the top five biggest buzz making stories?

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT continues right now.

Welcome back to "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT." Thanks for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer.

And now, our "showbiz" countdown of tonight`s the top five biggest buzz makers.

We are kicking things off at number five with emotional new revelations from E! News host and reality TV star Giuliana Rancic about her roller coaster year. From her shocking breast cancer diagnosis to the celebration of her new son, Edward Duke, Giuliana opened up this morning on the "Today" show about just how much her life has changed.

I want to bring "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" Nischelle Turner is in Hollywood.

Nischelle, big fan of Giuliana. But wow, what a year it`s been and what a journey this year.

TURNER: It has been. It has been a year filled with highs and lows for Giuliana. But today, the E! News host and reality TV star had a great message for her devoted fans using her own struggles and celebrations as examples of just how much life can change just like that. Let`s watch what she said today on the "Today" show.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GUILIANA RANCIC, E! NEWS HOST: It`s amazing to think that I was reflecting on it the other day too, in one year so much has happened. It`s funny. This was the best year of my life because of the baby and it was the worst year of my life because of the breast cancer. But it just goes to show that if you are just strong and you are positive, great things can come out of the darkest time in your life.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

TURNER: You know, this is what I love about her, A.J. Giuliana has been so open about the good and the bad in her life. She pulls no punches along the way. And it is just such an inspiring story. And she and her husband Bill have also just revealed the identity of their surrogate, Delphine, that`s her in the red and white striped top who helped of course bring new baby, Edward Duke, into their lives. And they are featured on this month`s life and style magazine.

Look at them. That`s a good looking family. Yes, it is. I`m going to do the awe for you.

HAMMER: Two very well-deserving parents right there. Such a great spirit and so inspirational.

All right Nischelle, thank you so much.

We move on to number four tonight on the showbiz countdown. Donald Trump`s big Republican National Convention surprise. Now, Trump teased it before the convention, nobody ever saw it. It turns out, Trump filmed an unaired you`re fired video. He had an actor playing President Obama. But NBC`s today show has just unveiled it. Let`s watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TRUMP: You`ve run up almost as much debt as every other president combined. I know, I know. It wasn`t your fault. It`s never anybody`s fault. You`ve inherited it, right? The fact is, the American people want results. President Obama, you`re fired.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: OK. Trump certainly one to never shy away from a little controversy.

Let`s go to Hollywood and bring in Jamie Kennedy, host of CW`s hit of game show, "oh, sit." Also in Hollywood, Nicki Boyer, host of daytime and no time on yahoo TV.

And Jamie to you first. I`m thinking that video actually would have done well to create quite a bit of buzz at the Republican National Convention. And you know Trump had to be ticked that it wasn`t played. What do you think of it?

JAMIE KENNEDY, HOST, CW`S ON SIT: Donald definitely probably is very upset it wasn`t played. It looked like an interesting video. But can it really top Clint`s talking to a chair? I mean, a legend talking to a chair bringing back the importance of chairs which brings me to my show, "oh, sit," which is on tonight 8:00 at the CW.

NICKI BOYER, HOST, YAHOO`S DAYTIME AND NO TIME: That was good.

HAMMER: Yes. That was pretty good. It was on last night. Earlier tonight at 8:00. But listen, politics and buffoonery aside. It was a clever concept, Nicki. Did Republicans really miss a big opportunity by not showing it, even though, of course, they made time for Clint and the chair?

BOYER: Right. I kind of do think they did make a bit of mistake here. Because if I had to choose between which was funnier, Clint Eastwood talking to a chair or you`re fired, I`m going with you`re fired because at least it made me chuckle. I think the Clint Eastwood situation made me feel bad for him.

But, I think overall, my opinion here is like keep politics, politics and keep the funny sketches for "Saturday Night Live." Because honestly, it just doesn`t add up. When I watch these funny moments, I just go, look at them, they`re trying to be funny. That`s really cute.

HAMMER: Yes. That`s a really good point.

All right, let`s get off of that and move from Trump`s big surprise to a daytime TV stunner.

Number three on our countdown of tonight`s biggest buzz makers. It`s Regis and his return. Yes, it was revealed that Reg will be a special guest host with Rachel Ray for the full hour, not just once but once every month. So, welcome back, Reg.

Now Jamie, he couldn`t stay away. Are you shocked to see Regis back on television in daytime? We thought he would appear somewhere else, but Rachel Ray, really?

KENNEDY: I just think Regis is like the energizer bunny. I mean, he can`t stop. One time I did a show with him and he was like hey kid, hurry up. Hurry up. I got (INAUDIBLE). I got to get back. The guy is a legend. He`s 103 years old and he can`t stop. He`s got more energy than anybody. God bless him.

HAMMER: But, are you OK with the idea that he`s doing it on the Rachel Ray show where, you know, we`re going to see Regis, I don`t know, spitting in recipes and stirring things around?

KENNEDY: Are you saying that something might come out of his mouth like a denture or something?

HAMMER: I wasn`t saying exactly that, but.

KENNEDY: And look. You know, at that age, you`ve got to do different things. He`s taking on new stuffs. He is going to make some crepes. Who better to make crepes than Reg?

HAMMER: I suppose you are right. Yeas, Regis Philbin, crepes to me, that goes hand in hand. It was the first thing I thought of and unless it was just forget it.

And talk about timing. It`s been just over a week since Regis` last hosting seat was filled by Michael Stratham on live with Kelly. The show is flying high. I mean the ratings couldn`t be better.

Nicki, I`m wondering if this is just a fantastic coincidence that all the sudden they`re seeing success with Regis` old job and now he`s making this announcement that he is coming back on Rachel Ray.

BOYER: That`s a good point. Well, I think Regis is very smart. He realizes it was time to give his seat to somebody else, which he did. And I think ultimately, he loves working. He loves daytime TV and let`s be honest, I just think he wants free meals by Rachel Ray. I`ll come to your show, I`ll show up. My car will drop me off. I`ll come in, we`ll cook a little something. I will stuff my belly and I`m out. I`m going home to take a nap. I`m 81. Peace. Well, that`s what I think.

HAMMER: That`s a pretty good idea. All the crepes he can eat and it`s not. I know where Regis lives. Not that I`m stalking you. And I adore you. And I think the world of you. But. it is kind of a convenient situation.

Jamie, interesting to you that we are hearing all this now after lives has its big push and hurrah with Michael Stratham coming into the seat next to Kelly?

KENNEDY: You will never know, I mean. I was wondering why Kathy, you know, left back in the day. And now, she is on again on, you know, on the "Today" show. So, I think you know, as you know, it`s in our blood. You don`t want to stop. It makes I feel good. So, I think it is good. And I hope that, you know, Reg on TV is part of American culture.

HAMMER: I think it will be for a long time. And there is nothing wrong with seeing as much Reg as we can get. I like him a lot. Big fan of him.

All right Jamie, Nicki, it all comes down to this. Numbers two and number one on the "showbiz" countdown tonight. The biggest buzz makers of the day. Here`s the thing. Is it going to be Jennifer Aniston`s hilarious new smart water ad.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JENNIFER ANISTON, ACTRESS: This looks so great. It`s perfect.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Or will a new controversy involving Korean music phenom Psy take the number one spot? I`ll reveal the answer coming up next.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: We`re counting down the top five biggest buzz makers of the day. Here is where we stand so far.

At number five tonight, Giuliana Rancic exposed baby revelations. You hear from Giuliana for the first time about being a new mom and reveals the surrogate who carried her new baby boy, Edward Duke.

At number four, you`re fired. Donald Trump tells the president he`s fired on a newly revealed video he made for the Republican convention that never aired.

In a number three, he`s back. Regis Philbin has a new TV gig. He`s going to be co-hosting the Rachel Ray show once a month. He said it`s a gig he can`t refuse.

And that brings us to number two on our "showbiz" countdown. The California lifeguards who got fired for going Gangnam style. Now, they made a hilarious parody of Korean rapper Psy`s viral video Gangnam style and they got canned for using city resources to do this thing.

Jamie Kennedy is the host of "oh, sit," Nicki Boyer who hosts "daytime in no time" on Yahoo TV, are both in Hollywood tonight. Everybody, guys, buzzing about the video of the lifeguards from El Monte, California. They gave a whole new twist to the Gangnam style craze. Let`s watch that together.

(VIDEO CLIP PLAYING)

HAMMER: All right, Jamie. I see you going on Gangnam style on us there. Look, these guys were having some fun and then they get canned. They actually just showed up at a big city meeting to beg for their jobs back. Now, even if they didn`t get permission to shoot this at the city pool, are you with me, the city needs to cut them a break and send these guys back to work.

KENNEDY: I got to tell you, I mean, if you watch -- first of all, everybody knows - loves Gangnam style or how do say, Gangnam style. I mean, it`s very catchy. Gangnam style. Gangnam style. And here`s the deal with it. They were synchronized. You saw it. I mean, they were synchronized. That was kind of like an Olympic event. I mean, they were very Gangnam style good. That was good.

HAMMER: I think it was good. And they should keep their jobs. Even Psy, he is the dude behind Gangnam style, he`s backing the lifeguards. And get this. When "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" went one-on-one with Psy, he actually revealed to us that he can`t stand that his video is bigger than he is.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PSY, SINGER: The video is much more popular. So if people say hey I`m Psy. What is Psy? Gangnam style, you-tube? Video? Oh, so things go like this. How come video is more popular than I am? So I`m here to promote myself. I`m the guy. I`m the guy. And I`m the guy.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: He`s the guy, Psy. But he`s getting big-footed by his own video. The lifeguards are getting fired for making a parody of it.

I mean Nicki, don`t you think that everybody needs to take a deep breath and realized it`s just a video about having some fun. Come on.

BOYER: Yes. And they were - it`s just so everybody knows, they were off duty. It`s not like we were having drowning children because they wanted to make a music video. It was fine. And let`s be honest, it`s not like they were smoking cigarettes and getting in trouble and doing crazy. They were actually being creative and doing something funny. So, I say lighten up. And I have a feeling they are going to get their jobs back. I just do.

KENNEDY: We don`t know what they smoked before. Maybe they smoked before to get that style.

HAMMER: That is true, Jamie. We can`t say any truth about that one way or the other.

KENNEDY: They are great. City, give them their jobs back.

HAMMER: Give them their jobs back.

All right. Time to reveal number one on our "showbiz" countdown of the top five biggest buzz makers. And I love this. Jennifer Aniston`s outrageously funny brand new ad for smart water. It reminded all of us just how good she is at TV comedy. Let`s watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE REPORTER: Some breaking news now. Jennifer Aniston`s home security tapes leaked online from an unknown source from inside the actress`s home, shocking revelations.

ANISTON: Oh, it`s perfect. Thank you so much you guys. Hey --

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Mom, could I go swimming?

ANISTON: Honey, be a good boy, go upstairs and take a nap.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I want to swim.

ANISTON: Listen, don`t cry. And if you are a good boy, I am going to play hide and seek with you later. I told you.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I don`t want to hide. You always make me hide. I think you`re ashamed of me.

ANISTON: Good night, Rachel. Oh, God.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Perfect. I mean, come on. Jamie, isn`t it time for Jen to get back to her roots and I don`t mean her hair and star in another great sitcom?

KENNEDY: She`s hilarious. I`m so dumb, I thought that was real. I was like wow, they got tapes, what`s going on? Oh, my God. How did she get so pregnant? So, yes, she is hilarious. And it took me two times to recognize that was Jimmy Kimmel. I thought that was Gangnam style.

HAMMER: It was completely Gangnam style.

And quite frankly, I`m glad once you saw it was Jimmy Kimmel playing her son there, you realized, it was actually a parody and not for real. But come on, Jen, back on TV.

All right, Jamie Kennedy, Nicki Boyer. Thank you both so much. Be sure to check out Jamie`s new game show. It is called "oh, sit." It`s Wednesdays on the CW.

We move now to son of the summer, here one, Viru menace (ph). Whatever you call the song call me maybe. Don`t call Carly Rae Jepsen a one hit wonder.

(VIDEO CLIP PLAYING)

HAMMER: Well tonight, we`re going one-on-one with Carly Rae. We are talking about everything, fame, Justin Bieber, of course, and on greeting the future with a big old kiss. Wait until you see what she is telling us tonight.

This is "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(VIDEO CLIP PLAYING)

HAMMER: Yes, that`s good time. Another fun song from Carly Rae Jepsen from her brand new album "Kiss." Is it the next call me maybe? Maybe.

But in the brand new interview with "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT," Carly Rae says there are no ifs, ands or maybes. She is here to stay. If you don`t know the words to call me maybe, well, you`re lying. That song was everywhere this summer.

But Carly Rae Jepsen isn`t an overnight success. The 26-year-old worked too long and hard to get to this point. And as Carly Rae tells "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" Nischelle Turner in this news maker interview, the reality is way better than anything she ever dreamed of.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

TURNER: First I just want to run down a few facts.

CARLY RAE JEPSEN, RECORDING ARTIST: OK.

TURNER: For you. First, nine weeks at number one on the billboard 100. Quintuple platinum single. Number one on the iTunes singles charts in 37 countries. Touring now with Justin Bieber. Pretty darn good to be Carly Rae Jepsen, yes?

JEPSEN: It`s surreal to have it read back like that. But it`s amazing to me. It`s actually hearing my dreams come true.

TURNER: All of this from a video that you put on you-tube.

JEPSEN: Well, actually, the video that we did was kind of in a smaller budget like Canadian thing. But it went to a music station there. And it was Justin`s video that he did for his fans that really kind of sparked the viral.

TURNER: When you saw Justin Bieber do the lip-synching version on you-tube, did you say, why me? Why this song? What do you mean? What`s going on here?

JEPSEN: Someone actually posted it on my facebook account and I remember watching it back and thinking that`s amazing. And I thought that boy looks a lot like Justin Bieber. No idea. And now, I watched it three more times because I had a Selena Gomez kind of step out of it. I think that is.

TURNER: That is Justin Bieber.

JEPSEN: I think that might be him.

TURNER: I`ve heard me say that it`s their guilty pleasure song. They love it. They`re singing in the shower song, their dance around the house song. Is there a fear though, that you can`t ever live up to that success that you had and oh, my God, will I be a one-hit wonder?

JEPSEN: They have to understand, when "call me maybe" hit number 64on Canadian iTunes, I was stoked. And living forward, I look Release the album "Kiss," it`s just like a gift. I get to show the other songs that I write and I get to show the other flavors that I am as an artist. And I`m nothing but excited about that.

TURNER: Are you that girl that can march up to somebody and say here`s my number?

JEPSEN: Here`s my number. I`ve had crazy moments in love. I did a kiss and run once. That`s as brave as I get.

(END VIDEOTAPE)
