Aired November 27, 2012 - 23:00   ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

A.J. HAMMER, HOST: Tonight on the SHOWBIZ Countdown, "Brilliant or Bananas?" Anna Nicole Smith`s 6-year-old daughter, Dannielynn, following in her mom`s modeling footsteps, up against Lindsay Lohan, the sitcom star. Which will reign supreme as the story that made us ask, is that "Brilliant or Bananas"?

Well, thanks for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer.

Tonight`s "Brilliant or Bananas" countdown is coming right up, but we begin with our first SHOWBIZ Countdown of the night. And we are counting down the top three newsmakers of the day. And trust me, when I say the competition tonight was fierce.

Kicking it all off at No. 3, move over Charlie Sheen. There`s a new "Two and a Half Men" trouble-maker in town.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ANGUS JONES, ACTOR: Going to take her some breakfast. As you can imagine, we worked up quite the appetite.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes, Angus Jones, who reportedly makes $350,000 an episode playing John Crier`s teen son Jake on the show, getting both slammed and praised today, for his caught-on-camera trashing of his show, calling it filth. He does it in a video just released by a Christian church Angus is associated with. He says the show is at odds with his faith, and he wants off.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JONES: If you watch "Two and a Half Men," please stop watching "Two and a Half Men." I`m on "Two and a Half Men." I don`t want to be on it. Please stop watching it. I mean, stop filling your head with filth.

You cannot be a true God-fearing person and be on a television show like that. I know I can`t. I`m not OK with what I`m learning and what the Bible says and being on that television show.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: This is pretty remarkable to me. And while Angus got slammed today for biting a hand that feeds him a whole lot of money, he was also praised today by the likes of the Parents Television Council.

Tim Winter, president of the PTC, joining me from Hollywood tonight. Appreciate you being here, Tim. And, you know, your group has been going after "Two and a Half Men" for years. I am imagining you`re actually ecstatic about all this.

TIM WINTER, PRESIDENT, PTC: Well, whether it`s because of Mr. Jones`s faith, or because he -- the scientific research that he cited, or it was just common sense, we applaud him for what he said. We thinks he`s right, and the fact that, for ten years, the show has been very sexualizing of women, very degrading, debasing and objectifying them. And we applaud him for speaking out in such strong terms.

HAMMER: Yet somehow, it for the longest time was the No. 1 rated show, sitcom on all of television.

I want to bring in actress Tichina Arnold. You know Tichina from "Martin" and "Everybody Hates Chris." And now, she`s starring in a great show with Fran Drescher. It`s on TV Land. It`s the sitcom "Happily Divorced."

Great having you here, Tichina.

TICHINA ARNOLD, ACTRESS: Thank you.

HAMMER: Angus`s current contract with "Two and a Half Men," as we`ve been talking about, is reportedly worth $8 and a half million.

ARNOLD: I wish I had his job.

HAMMER: I mean, that`s -- that`s something that`s pretty amazing. Listen, if you were being paid that kind of money for starring on a show, even if you developed a moral objection to the show, could you even conceive doing something like that?

ARNOLD: You know, I think he has -- there`s nothing wrong with finding Jesus. OK? I come from a very religious background. And I don`t choose - - I don`t pick work that compromises my morality.

But he is under contract, and I think there`s a better way that he could have gone about it. You know, you talk to the powers that be, and ask them, "Hey, can we change it up a little bit? Can we change my character? Can I say this instead of this?"

So there`s a way of going about it, but he`s contractually obligated to do his job.

HAMMER: Yes, I take nothing away from him finding himself. He started on the show when he was very young.

ARNOLD: Yes.

HAMMER: But I am right there with you. There`s another way to go about it.

ARNOLD: Yes, there`s a better way.

HAMMER: There`s a whole lot of Angus bashing going on today over his bashing of his show. I want you to watch what Whoopi Goldberg said about it this morning on "The View."

ARNOLD: Lord, I know Whoopi got him.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WHOOPI GOLDBERG, CO-HOST, ABC`S "THE VIEW": If you don`t like the show you`re on, then get off of the show. Why mess it up for other the folks who are working who like their jobs?

Well, I don`t think that it`s a good idea to put down that which is keeping a lot of people, folks behind the scenes, people in front of the scenes, working, you know. Take yourself out.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Now Tim, even though you and your group object to the show, you do understand how some people could think that Angus didn`t really handle this the right way, I`d imagine?

WINTERS: Yes, I suppose so. Look, when you make in ten days what it takes a lot of people ten years to earn, you`re going to face a lot of pressure from folks inside the industry, from people around you. And I think he`s going to be faced with a very tough choice.

The only two options I see is, either he has to try to work as a positive force for a change, for positive change inside -- with his position. Or he needs to walk away from his job. I think those are really his only two options at this point.

HAMMER: And can you imagine, Tichina, what it would be like showing up on that set?

ARNOLD: I can`t imagine. You know, even when I did "Everybody Hates Chris," I used to put in 16 hours a day. I would be cognizant of, if I had a bad attitude that day, everybody would have a bad attitude.

You know, you have to -- the people depending upon this work. And, you know, if he wants to get out of his contract, walk off set, be sued, you know what I mean? You should, you know, write a memo or a memoir book or something.

HAMMER: A lot of people depend...

ARNOLD: But it`s disrespectful to the other people. It really is.

HAMMER: ... on that show. Well, from -- yes, from "Two and a Half Men" to two men fighting, and Halle Berry caught in the middle. This takes us to No. 2 on our SHOWBIZ Newsmaker countdown tonight.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT learned the graphic new details today about that Thanksgiving Day breakdown and beat-down at Halle Berry`s house. Now Halle Berry`s fiance, Olivier Martinez, and her ex-boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry, got in this knock-down brawl.

And now Aubry is telling his story in a court filing that just got to a judge, and a judge got to issue a restraining order, telling Martinez to stay away from Aubry.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT obtained the court papers, which include these graphic photos of Aubry after the fight, because he suffered a fractured rib, multiple bruises as we`re seeing here. Aubry claims that Berry`s fiance started attacking him as Aubry was dropping off 4-year-old Nahla, the child that he had with Halle.

That is different from previous reports, where Aubry was being accused of being the aggressor. Aubry was arrested. No one`s been charged in this fight just yet.

I want to bring in attorney Darren Kavinoky, who`s in Hollywood tonight. Darren, is there anything that a court can do to intervene in this obviously very toxic environment that Halle`s daughter seems to be in, in this case?

DARREN KAVINOKY, LEGAL ANALYST, "THE INSIDER": Yes, don`t love triangles just bring out the very best in people, A.J.? Isn`t that the big learning here?

You know, the courts are in the business of making tough judgment calls and sorting out these factual disputes. And ultimately, the courts have a lot of weapons at their disposal. They can order parenting classes or anger management classes or even remove the child from the home if that becomes appropriate.

Ultimately, at the end of the day, the court is empowered to do whatever is in the best interests of the child. There`s going to have to be a judge that`s going to have to sit down, listens to all these different competing scenarios, and make the final call about what is in the best interests of that child.

HAMMER: Tichina, you`re a mom. You know it`s not always easy.

ARNOLD: Not at all.

HAMMER: Child custody cases are never easy.

ARNOLD: Not at all.

HAMMER: But Halle`s keeps getting uglier. What, from your perspective, needs to happen here?

ARNOLD: You know what? I think Halle needs to take control of the situation.

First of all, I don`t like the fact that two men are fighting in front of that child.

HAMMER: Yes.

ARNOLD: That`s No. 1. Something seems kind of funky here. You know, Aubry, he`s young. He`s fit. You know, Martinez, I`m sure he`s fit, as well. But to get beat up that bad, it sounds to me like somebody is trying to, you know, tip the scale in their favor. That`s what it looks like.

But there is a child`s life, reputation and -- at stake here, and I think Halle needs to really take more control of the situation and probably separate herself from both of them.

KAVINOKY: And let`s not forget, A.J., we also have a criminal case that hasn`t yet been filed. But there has been an arrest made. And there`s still a criminal case, which is a whole other separate proceeding that`s going to get separated out. And we see these photos of Aubry, who definitely got the worst end of the conflict there, but it`s still possible that he could have been the initial aggressor. And he still can be prosecuted and convicted.

HAMMER: Well, more on his side of the story, because I was going through Gabriel Aubry`s court filings today. I have to tell you, it`s explosive. Let me run down some of the finer points in here.

He claims that the day before the fight, Halle`s fiance, Olivier Martinez, came up to him at little Nahla`s recital and said, "I wish I could beat the `S` out of you right now." Aubry says the next day, as he dropped off his daughter, Nahla, at Berry`s house, Martinez did just that: punching, kicking, slamming his head into the concrete.

Aubry says that Olivier told Aubry to tell the cops he, Aubry, started the fight or else, quote, "I`m going to kill you."

Halle and Olivier haven`t publicly given their version of what happened.

Darren, quickly, how is this all going to affect the custody arrangement now, especially considering everyone`s stories are going to be different?

KAVINOKY: Yes, well, a judge is ultimately going to have to decide which of the stories is the truthful one. They`re going to keep a very, very short leash on this case. Ultimately, protecting the kids is what everybody`s concern is.

HAMMER: Absolutely. Such a stunning story. So now, what is our No. 1 newsmaker tonight? Brad Pitt weighing in on the controversial topic of gay marriage, right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BRAD PITT, ACTOR: I waited with bated breath, like everyone else. I mean, it`s a very, very interesting time.

HAMMER: It`s a big deal.

PITT: Again, I think its time has come, and -- and if we don`t figure it out, certainly the next generation knows enough not to be frightened.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: You have got to hear what else Brad said to me that pushed him to the top spot of the SHOWBIZ Countdown of the day`s biggest newsmakers.

Also tonight, Lindsay Lohan, sitcom star? Well, despite the fact that she`s been lampooned for her performance on Liz Taylor in "Liz and Dick," Lindsay supposedly wants her own show. But here`s the thing -- People were laughing at her for a dramatic role, so is the sitcom "Brilliant or Bananas"?

And Anna Nicole Smith`s daughter, Dannielynn, debuting as the new face of Guess? Look at her, adorable, obviously, but is following in her mom`s modeling footsteps "Brilliant or Bananas"? And who will top the SHOWBIZ Countdown tonight?

This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT and our SHOWBIZ Countdown of the top three newsmakers of the day. In at No. 3 tonight, Angus T. Jones, the young star of "Two and a Half Men," getting both praised and heat today after bashing his show. He called it filth. This is a show that reportedly pays him more than $8 million a year.

In at No. 2 tonight, graphic new details revealed today about the brawl between Halle Berry`s fiance and her ex-boyfriend.

So who`s our No. 1 newsmaker in the SHOWBIZ Countdown? It`s Brad Pitt in my headline-making SHOWBIZ Newsmaker interview with him.

Brad plays a monster in the brand-new movie, "Killing Them Softly." It opens in theaters this Friday. When I sat down with Brad we talked about the movie, his controversial Chanel No. 5 ad, and why he and his fiancee, Angelina Jolie are so strongly fighting in support of gay marriage. So I asked Brad why he and Angelina got behind the cause in the first place. Watch what he told me.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

PITT: It`s one of our last big issues of equality. We -- I mean, what makes this nation great is -- is our freedoms. And the idea of equality, the true idea of equality. And in that definition, there`s a certain faction of our society that is not being included. And that`s -- that time -- it is time.

HAMMER: Time to go. Time to go.

PITT: Yes.

HAMMER: And this week, a big deal with the Supreme Court deciding whether or not they`re going to hear the challenge to Prop 8 in California, which made gay marriage, of course, illegal. What are your thoughts on that hearing and what`s happening with that right now?

PITT: Well, I waited with baited breath like everyone else. It`s a very, very interesting time.

HAMMER: It`s a big deal.

PITT: Again, I think its time has come. And if we don`t figure it out, certainly the next generation knows there`s nothing to be frightened of.

HAMMER: You think they will figure it out?

PITT: Yes, I hope so. But I do want to say with the election now, there`s a -- there`s a resurgence in hope again, and I hope it`s a time where -- where there`s more bipartisanship, and sides, or it`s less about winning and more about people coming together and dealing with the issues.

HAMMER: Wouldn`t that be nice?

PITT: It`s a must. It`s a must. We`re in a precarious place.

HAMMER: You guys had once famously said that you would hold off on getting married until everybody could get married. And I know now you`re engaged. You said you were doing it for the kids, which obviously everybody is every excited about.

PITT: And ourselves. They prompted it.

HAMMER: Are they pressuring you at all to set a date? Are they getting on you about that?

PITT: No. No, not necessarily.

HAMMER: Do you think it`s something that you will make public, because obviously, there`s a huge interest, demand. People want to feel like they`re a part of when you guys actually get married. And you`d want to protect your privacy, to the extent that you can.

PITT: We don`t know. Yes, we haven`t gone that -- we haven`t gotten that far yet.

HAMMER: Obviously, it`s been a huge year of getting this movie out; the furniture line, which I must say is very impressive, as somebody who`s into art and design. You cannot turn on the TV without seeing the Chanel ad. Brad, obviously, you know, that got such a huge reaction. Did you get a kick out of the reaction?

PITT: I say fair play.

HAMMER: Absolutely. Absolutely. I say they got their money`s worth with you, I mean, the number of times that it got played, just people talking about it.

PITT: You know, I`m not a part of that -- that side of the marketing, but fair play.

HAMMER: Last thing, very quickly, I just want to flash you back. We`re going to have a little fun. I just want you to take a quick look at this guy here.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PITT: A lot of the tracks before it came out was -- the life-style...

(END VIDEO CLIP)

PITT: Was that -- really, is that -- I don`t even...

HAMMER: Who is that?

PITT: I don`t even recognize that guy.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PITT: Watch these people...

(END VIDEO CLIP)

PITT: Was this -- This is what year?

HAMMER: You had just gotten out to California maybe six months prior. What -- what advice would this guy sitting in the chair across from me give that guy right here?

PITT: I think that guy did all right.

HAMMER: You did great.

PITT: I think he figured it out quite fine. I don`t think I need to tell him much.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Yes. You think he did all right? I think we would have to agree with Brad on that.

You can catch Brad Pitt in his new movie, which he produced as well, by the way. It`s "Killing Them Softly." It will be in theaters this Friday.

So tonight, did Justin Bieber, and Bieber fever, cause one woman to lose some of her hearing? Well, she says yes, and she is suing the Biebs for almost $10 million. But come on, everybody screams for the Biebs, even me. So is this lawsuit brilliant or just bananas?

And a Beyonce documentary to be directed by Beyonce. Really, she`s going to be directing it herself? Does this make sense? "Brilliant or Bananas?"

This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, on HLN.

Time now for "SHOWBIZ Buzz List." Here`s what the SHOWBIZ staff is buzzing about this week. We are loving the new series "Mankind: The History of Us All," chronicling the history of the human race. It`s Tuesday nights on the History Channel.

Well, the SHOWBIZ ladies are salivating over Natura Bisse beauty serum. Beyonce, Gwyneth Paltrow and Sofia Vergara swear by this. And it costs 600 bucks a pop.

The holidays have us in the mood to see "The Nutcracker" ballet. It`s coming to theaters in December on the 3rd.

The new Lensbaby Spark, great gift for any photographer who wants to take some playful pics.

And check out Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones in "Hope Springs," out on DVD and Blu-Ray December 4.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MERYL STREEP, ACTRESS: Every time we talked on the phone, I would say it to the phone after we hung up.

TOMMY LEE JONES, ACTOR: I figured if I ever said anything like that, you`d take off running.

STREEP: What?

JONES: You could have had your pick. I didn`t think you`d ever want me.

STREEP: I never wanted anything more.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Justin Bieber, the white trash prince? Well, that`s what one nasty headline read after the Biebs showed up in overalls to receive am honor from the prime minister of Canada. Now he has defended his choice of wardrobe. But did the Biebs make a really bad mistake? Here`s CNN`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

JEANNE MOOS, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): They may be called overalls, but they sure can leave you underdressed.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I see, I see, he`s drooping.

MOOS: When Canada`s prime minister awarded fellow Canadian Justin Bieber the Diamond Jubilee Medal the other day, Bieber got an online dressing down. "So is he a train conductor now?" "He dresses like an American hillbilly."

(on camera): Is there anything about this that strikes you?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Other than he`s dressed inappropriately?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes, he looks terrible.

MOOS (voice-over): It was the combination of off-the-shoulder overalls, the backwards cap and the neon yellow shoes. But when London`s "Daily Mail" echoed a blog that called Bieber "white trash prince," Bieber fired back, saying that the medal ceremony took place at an arena where he was set to perform and had just had a meet and greet.

"If you expect me to have a change of clothes, let alone a suit at that specific time, that`s crazy. It wasn`t like it was like I was going into his environment. We were at a hockey arena. Wow, am I ever white trash."

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I actually think it`s cute. He looks like a teenager.

MOOS (on camera): So, you`re Canadian and you don`t care?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: No, that`s part of his persona.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Did you ever see Steve Jobs in a tie? Nobody wears ties anymore.

MOOS: Except the prime minister.

(voice-over): And Canadian Prime Minister Steven Harper has seen the news, tweeting out, "In fairness to Justin Bieber, I told him I would be wearing my overalls, too."

On Sunday, Bieber performed "Boyfriend" at Canadian football`s Grey Cup halftime show. And was repeatedly booed.

We haven`t had a fashion mismatch like this since Lady Gaga met the queen wearing a red latex dress and panda eye makeup.

Actually, Justin, it could have been worse. You could have met the prime minister wearing sunglasses or those leather dropped-crotch pants. At least the snake he took to the video music awards didn`t slither out from under those overalls.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: It was a strange choice of wardrobe. That was CNN`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Well, a brand-new Beyonce documentary starring Beyonce and directed by Beyonce. Now I get, she`s basically good at everything she does. But is it "Brilliant or Bananas" for her to direct a film about herself?

The return of "Boy Meets World." Corey and Topanga are officially back with for a brand-new spin-off. I think it is brilliant, but what do you think? Is bananas?

Who`s going to top our SHOWBIZ Countdown tonight?

This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Right now on the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT countdown, "Brilliant or Bananas?" Lindsay Lohan, sitcom star? Brand-new reports today, that despite her panned performance in the "Liz and Dick," she wants her own sitcom. So I`ve got to ask, is that "Brilliant or Bananas"?

And Anna Nicole Smith`s 6-year-old daughter, Dannielynn, makes her professional modeling debut. Dad Larry Birkhead says it`s her way of paying tribute to her mom. But is following in Anna Nicole`s footsteps "Brilliant or Bananas"? And which of these stories will top the SHOWBIZ Countdown tonight?

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT continues right now.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Thank you for joining us. I`m A.J. Hammer.

And tonight on the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT countdown, we`re running down the big stories that have us asking today, "Is that brilliant or bananas?"

Let`s move with number five tonight. It is a stunner tonight from Lindsay Lohan. Despite some not so pleasant reviews on her big debut on "Liz and Dick" Sunday night, Lindsay is now reportedly eager to land her own sitcom. Critics and fans just ripped apart Lindsay`s dramatic portrayal by cam Ms. Taylor saying, she just didn`t cut it as Liz.

Let`s watch Lindsay in action.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You`re impossible.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Elizabeth wants to play, I love the man, end of story.

I won`t live without you.

You knew you could never leave them, you were playing, I was just another notch.

What am I supposed to do? I have done 29 pictures since I was nine, 29. I never learned how to do just absolutely nothing.

I need a ring, a big ring.

I`m bored. I`m so bored.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: You know, perhaps there is a comedic place for her after all. I just know my guests want to get on this one.

With me now in New York, so pleased to have the Tichina Arnold. She is starring on TV Land`s "Happily Divorced", with an all-new season premiering tomorrow night. Can`t wait for that. And there he is -- Steve-O, "Jackass" star and host of new series, "Killer Karaoke." It airs Friday night on truTV. You can check your listings for both of the show times.

Great to have you here.

Tichina, I want to start with you because you, after all, are a big sitcom star. You spent years starring on "Martin" and "Everybody Hates Chris". You know how hard it is to get a show on the air and what it takes to bring the laughs. So in your mind, Tichina, would this be a brilliant move to pull it off, or is she bananas to think she can actually pull it off?

ARNOLD: Bananas, OK? I`m sorry. I hate talking about my fellow actors and actresses, but we see Lindsay Lohan enough in the news. Having a sitcom, no, I wouldn`t watch it. So I think it is absolutely bananas.

HAMMER: Bananas. OK, let me play the other side of this for a minute, because looking back, Lindsay was pretty great as a child star in "Parent Trap". Fans loved her in "Mean Girls."

Steve-O, is that crazy to think she actually earned a shot at a sitcom?

STEVE-O, STAR, "JACKASS": Well, you know, A.J., after seeing that hilarious clip on "Liz and Dick," I think it is a great idea.

HAMMER: Maybe there is this hidden comedy talent that we just need to unearth a little more about putting her on where she supposed to be dramatic role.

ARNOLD: Well, that would be funny, you know, if is a straight sitcom, that is really funny with very good writing, then yes, she is playing herself, yes. But --

HAMMER: I actually -- I just liked her playing another person, but the voice was just purely Lindsay Lohan and raspy. It mean, Steve-O, it`d be like you playing George Washington or something.

STEVE-O: Or me playing Liz Taylor.

ARNOLD: Exactly, it sounded like Liz Taylor smoked like ten packs of cigarettes.

HAMMER: Exactly. Without filters.

All right, from Lindsay`s sitcom dreams to another megastar`s big move -- it takes us to number four in our SHOWBIZ Countdown, "Brilliant or Bananas?", Beyonce directing her own HBO feature length documentary about her life and everything that it takes to make this woman a global phenomenon.

Now, the big documentary TV debut is set for February.

Steve-O, you are known as big risk taker. Beyonce clearly laying it on the line by trying to tell her own story. Do you see this as a bit of a megastar ego move kicking in and brilliant move, or is it bananas?

STEVE-O: I think it would be great. You can title this documentary, "Even If I Do Say So Myself".

(LAUGHTER)

HAMMER: Yes, exactly. Listen. I think she is genius. And she really has never failed at anything she has attempted to do. She is an unbelievable performer. We did catch a glimpse of Beyonce as the businesswoman back in 2209. She did a Thanksgiving special then and she took us behind the scenes of her "I am Yours" world tour. Let`s take a glimpse of that.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BEYONCE, SINGER: The concept, you can`t go back down, you got to keep going up, that sounds weird. I like that. We need some type of band break. One more time. I wanted to get an orchestra section, speed it back up somewhere. It is good, it is all right, but it in. Great. All over the place. You can take that and make that the key of kitty cat, it will start out with drums.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: It was kind of neat watching her at work, clearly a woman in charge there, Tichina. She is directing every step of that tour. But do you think that she can really do herself any justice by taking charge of her own fall feature documentary? I`m not seeing a lot of I`m not seeing any objectivity there.

ARNOLD: You know, I think it is brilliant. I love B, so you know, I think she has done very well just taking her career from one level to the next. And actually, I liked watching that documentary because I thought it allowed us to see a lot of personal things about Beyonce, you know, other than, you know, we`ve always seen the beautiful woman on the stage. But to see her, you know, really in her element and her controlling things on the other side of the cameras, I loved that, I think it is a great idea.

HAMMER: But Tichina, don`t we want to see somebody else tell her story?

ARNOLD: You know what, why can`t she tell her own story? I would rather her tell her own story because now, especially with her being a mother, I`m sure she has a lot to say and a lot to express. So, yes, I would say it is brilliant.

HAMMER: OK. Fair enough. Well, from one global superstar to another, Justin Bieber`s legal woes come in on number three on the SHOWBIZ Countdown, "Brilliant or Bananas?"?

This is a crazy story to me. So Bieber has just been slapped with a $9.2 million lawsuit. This is coming from a mom who claims her hearing was severely damaged at one of the Biebs` concerts back in 2010. It was according TMZ. It was not from Bieber`s singing, oh, no. The mom claims Bieber enticed the crowd in to his screaming frenzy. Bieber`s team reportedly said there is no way that he had no way of knowing that it would known this pointing to the crowd would cause this so-called "sound blast", as it was put.

Steve-O, is it crazy to think that Justin should actually have to pay off nine something million bucks for making the crowd go wild?

STEVE-O: It is. And if you don`t throw that last shootout, the flood gates are open for all kinds of stuff. And I`ll be right there suing him for all kinds of punitive damages. The guy is gorgeous.

HAMMER: Well Yes, I mean, that can cause you major distractions.

STEVE-O: That is exactly right.

HAMMER: I can see where you may have trouble focusing on our little segment here watching the video clip that was just played. But when you think about it, Tichina, the Biebs - here is a guy, he can`t even walk down the street, let alone take the stage without the screaming, screeching fans. So I have to believe you are with us, that this mom is just bananas for even filing the suit. Come on.

ARNOLD: She is utterly bananas. And she better be lucky I`m not Justin Beiber because I would throw her a couple of thousand to go get her head checked. That is what I would do. That is absolutely nuts. And I would send her a set of ear plugs so the next concert she comes to, she just plugs her ears. That is insane for somebody to try to sue a young man like that. That is insane. She needs her head checked.

HAMMER: Steve-O, has anybody tried to sue you because they tried to jumped, you know, of a three story building into shallow pool of water?

STEVE-O: I haven`t been sued for that, but I have been sued for other stuff.

HAMMER: OK, but you`re sitting with us here today so I`m going to take that as a good sign that everything worked out fine.

So listen, if the Bieber hearing lawsuit is not the most brilliant story in SHOWBIZ Countdown tonight, what could it possibly be?

Look at this, this is Anna Nicole Smith`s daughter, Dannilynn right here. She is making her debut as a Guess model, just like her mom. She looks awful a lot like her too. But should she really be following in her mom`s modeling footsteps? I`m not crazy about this idea.

Also, the return of Cory and Topanga? The stars of "Boy Meets World" revealing a brand new spin off, but it is this brilliant or bananas? Which of these se stories will top the countdown? Steve-O, Tichina, stay right there. We`ll reveal our top two next.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

We are counting down our top five stories tonight that have us asking "Brilliant or Bananas?"

At number five, a stunner from Lindsay Lohan. She is reportedly now pushing for her own sitcom.

And number four, Beyonce all set to star in and direct an all new HBO documentary about herself.

And number three, a mom actually wants to sue Justin Bieber because fans were screaming so loud at his concert they hurt her ears. She wants $9 million.

Now we are at number two in the SHOWBIZ Countdown with the stories that have us asking "Brilliant or Bananas?" `90s fans, you can rejoice, Cory and Topanga are back. Yes, Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel are taking on the all-new "Boy Meets World" spin-off, "Girl Meets wWrld." It has been 12 years now since the original series wrapped up.

Let`s watch one of those classical moments.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You shouldn`t kiss somebody you`re not married to.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes, I would have to feel I really knew the person and that I liked him.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Good.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Good .

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It was my first one, too.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Brilliant. All right, so you have a young Cory and Topanga there, and then you think about it, they`re all grown up now.

I want to bring back Tichina Arnold. She stars in the TV Land`s "Happily Divorced". Steve-O we know from "Jackass" and of course he is the host of this new series, "Killer Karaoke", which you must check out on truTV.

So this series apparently is going to pick up with Cory and Topanga now as parents.

Steve-O, I am certain you didn`t miss a single episode of "Boy Meets World" when it first came out. The new generation has never heard of this classic duo. So do you think it is just bananas to think that teens are going to somehow love it as much as kids did back in the `90s, or is it brilliant move?

STEVE-O: I think it is bananas. I haven`t even heard of the first show. And I say it is a bad idea. But then, I have spent a lot of time in the psychiatric ward, so what do I know?

(LAUGHTER)

HAMMER: I like your perspective, though. It is very important to us tonight. Tichina, here, a big sitcom star, having done "Martin" for many, many years, you know what it is like this star side by side with the same group of people for a long time. You know, sometimes you just got to have that certain chemistry, we definitely saw that with the cast of "Boy Meets World." And Steve-O is going to go out and rent the series. But now that they`re back together, do you think that chemistry will give the show a boost in the right direction? Do you see this happening?

ARNOLD: I do. I think it is brilliant. Why not? You know, I think everything comes full circle. I am asked all the time if there will ever be a "Martin" reunion. I wish there would be. If they were, I don`t think it is going to be successful enough because of course things have change. People are older now. But why not? Why not. I say, give it a shot. So, I think it is brilliant.

HAMMER: Steve-O, are you sold yet? Are you in there?

ARNOLD: Come on, Steve-O. You can do it, man. Come on. You can do it.

STEVE-O: I am just not on board with that one.

HAMMER: He is still catching up with the Teletubbies.

STEVE-O: Maybe if they get Lindsay Lohan on there.

ARNOLD: Now, that is a good idea.

HAMMER: All right. Well, it is great to see these guys back in action. Of course, there can be only one number one on our SHOWBIZ Countdown of the stories that have us asking, "Brilliant or Bananas?"

Look at this. Anna Nicole Smith, 6-year-old daughter, Dannielynn. There she is modeling for Guess. Of course, that is the brand that made her mother famous. Dannielynn`s father Larry Birkhead was on ABC`s "Good Morning America" today. He revealed why he is letting her doing this. Let`s watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LARRY BIRKHEAD, DANNIELYNN`S FATHER: When I go for her, it is for her to be a child. And just do what all kids do. Dannielynn has always looked up to her mom`s image and said, you know, that her mom is an angel. And I think this is kind of Dannielynn`s way of paying tribute to her mom in her own special way. To see her mom`s picture next to her as a Guess girl and saying, I was a Guess Kids` girl and my mommy was a Guess girl. That may be her only connection with her mom.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: It is something, seeing the pictures. I want to take a look at some of the behind-the-scenes video of the Guess shoot that was shown today on "Good Morning America" if we can put that up.

Little Dannielynn, obviously super cute, Tichina, she looks great in the ad. In many ways, it seems to be a brilliant move. And I get what Larry is saying. But of course, you consider how her mom`s life ends and I personally think it is really risky to even introduced her to that world, whatever the motive.

ARNOLD: Definitely, I`m a little split on that one, because I didn`t expect my daughter to want to walk in my shoes, which she is now doing and doing way a better job at it than I am. But the modeling thing, I am a little iffy on that. And I actually met Mr. Birkhead, and when she was a little girl and just really, really nice guy. I see where is going, but it is a really, really shaky area, because that modeling world, if you don`t stay on top of it and if you don`t have a great group of people around her, she will end up like her mom. And I don`t want her to follow in her mom`s footsteps that way.

HAMMER: Steve-O, very quickly, is it brilliant in a way because look at all the publicity Guess is getting here?

STEVE-O: I don`t know if that old saying, that there is no such thing as bad publicity is actually true. But maybe in this case, it is.

HAMMER: And Tichina, I don`t think the comparison with your daughter is quite fair, because quite frankly, you`re still with us and you are doing really great.

ARNOLD: But you know what, if I do pass and I found out that my mother, you know, wanted to, you know, not find out, but you know, I would really want to make sure that she was surrounded by and protected as much as possible.

HAMMER: We got to leave it there. Tichina, and Steve, thank you so much.

Be sure to catch Tichina in "Happily Divorced", the premiere tomorrow night. Don`t miss Steve-O hosting the new series "Killing Karaoke", truTV on Friday nights.

Great having you here.

Well, tonight, Nicki Minaj, in another "American Idol" throwdown. Forget Mariah. The rapper is now locking horns with former "Idol" judge Steven Tyler. What did Steven say that had Nicki accuse him of being racist? Details on this brand new fired up idol feud, next.

This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ARNOLD: It is a SHOWBIZ TONIGHT showdown of epic proportions, involving former "American Idol" just Steven Tyler and brand new "Idol" judge Nicki Minaj.

In an interview with MTV News, Tyler just spewed venom on their caught on tape fight. I want to read to you what he said.

"It needs to be judged by people that are honest, true, that have the `it` factor, not the `it` factor because they can fight. The (INAUDIBLE) is that about. These kids just got out of the car from the Midwest somewhere, and they`re in New York City. They`re scared to death. You`re not going to get the best out of them. If it was Bob Dylan, Nicki Minaj, would have sent him to the cornfield."

Well, apparently Nikci feels that Steven Tyler`s comments are racist. Let me read what she tweeted about them. She said, "You assumed I wouldn`t have liked Bob Dylan, why? Black, rapper, what? Go, believe yourself and worry about yourself, babe. I understand you really wanted to keep your job but take that up with the producers. I haven`t done anything to you. That is a racist comment."

With me from Hollywood, Holland Reid is an entertainment host. Holland, we haven`t even seen Nicki as a judge on "Idol" yet or am I missing something? We just saw the backstage clip of the fight.

HOLLAND REID, ENTERTAINMENT HOST: You know what, exactly. I don`t know where his whole rant came from. I mean, I get what he is trying to say, Nicki Minaj is way more gimmicky, way more flashy. Tyler Perry comes through - Tyler Perry, Lord have mercy, Steven Tyler - what am I talking about?

Steven Tyler comes from that old school radio, you know, real musician era, and so he probably have some issues with somebody that is more of a gimmicky, flashy artist, judging real talent. But racist, I don`t know. I don`t even know where that came from, from her. I don`t know where his opinions even come from at this point. Nobody has seen anything and they just need to stop talking, and stop using the f word.

HAMMER: Yes. Yes. I think may have been making a little bit of a leaf assuming that because he suggested that she wouldn`t like Bob Dylan, that somehow it was because she was black or a rapper as she put it. But, clearly, --

REID: Exactly.

HAMMER: She is offended. Clearly, she thinks Tyler`s comment was racist. But Wendy Williams is not buying Nicki`s logic or Steven`s drama, for that matter. Let`s watch what she said about the "Idol" feud on her show today.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WENDY WILLIAMS, TV HOST: First of all, my people are always calling something racist. The race part is so easy to fall, Nicki, It was necessary there. He was not saying anything racist. He was simply making a comment.

Second of all, Steven. Steven. We have suspected that you were asked to leave "Idol," but by Nicki saying what she did, did she confirm it? That you were asked to leave, you didn`t quit all cool like JLo?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: And that was a really interesting point. It wasn`t lost on me that, you know, she suggested he didn`t want to leave the job. But Wendy, saying what she is feeling there, Holland, and SHOWBIZ TONIGHT we did reach out to Steven Tyler about his comments by the way. We didn`t hear back as of show time. But I`m asking you to pick right now, Holland, angry words from all of them, whose are you on?

REID: You know, I`m going to go with Steven Tyler, only because I do not feel or sense anything racist coming from his tweet. I think he is just old school. I think again, he believes in that real musicians like "it" factor. I don`t think it had anything to do with black or white. I think Nicki Minaj should have answer it more intelligently or ask his opinion -- what did he mean by that? Instead she made an assumption.

HAMMER: Didn`t do herself any favors at all. All right, Holland, Thank you so much.

REID: At all.

HAMMER: Moving on tonight to a great story, a clean shaved for a good cause. Two NFL cheerleaders boldly shaved their heads in support of the coach who is fighting cancer. I`m going to show you this emotional video from right there on the middle in the middles of the game, next.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Right now, a SHOWBIZ Inspiration. Two NFL cheerleaders have shaved their heads in support of their couches battling cancer. Two brave cheerleaders, Megan M. and Crystal Ann, answered to a $10,000 challenge, posed by Blue, the team`s mascot, to shave their heads in the game against the Buffalo Bills.

Well, this weekend, they did it in front of head coach - head Coach Pagano, who was cheering them on. And Megan tells HLN`s "EVENING EXPRESS" she was not nervous at all.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ISHA SESAY, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Just give me some insight into what that was like, and whether you were freaked out, at all.

MEGAN M, INDIANA COLTS CHEERLEADER: We are just so excited in front of our city for pulling together for a great cause. The cheers were defining. It was just phenomenon. I was able to have another cheer leader joins me at the last minute and be able to hold her hand while we both went through this process. It was just absolutely phenomenal. And you know, everyone Hope to make an impact in their lives. And I was just lucky enough that blue came up with this idea and we were able to do something good.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Very cool.

Well tonight, an overseas high school trip to shocking sex scandal. Secret sex tape leads to bullying in law suit. The boy was features on the tape`s speaks out on.

"DR. DREW ON CALL" right now.
