Aired December 05, 2012 - 23:00   ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

A.J. HAMMER, HOST: Tonight on the SHOWBIZ Countdown, Angelina Jolie quitting acting? Say it isn`t so. And a woman actually rides the subway with Jay-Z and doesn`t even recognize him. Which of these stories will top the SHOWBIZ Countdown of stories making us do a double take?

Thank you for watching. I am A.J. Hammer.

In our SHOWBIZ Countdown of the amazing stories today that made us do a double take. It`s coming up.

But we begin with our first SHOWBIZ Countdown of the night, the top three stories breaking today in the "Royal Baby Bonanza".

And kicking it off at No. 3, royal outrage tonight over the disturbing prank call made today to the London hospital where Duchess Catherine is being treated for morning sickness. So two radio DJs from Australia called in, and they reached a nurse inside, convincing the nurse that they were actually Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles, amazing. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT now brings you part of the call.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hello. Good morning.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hello there. Could I please speak to Kate, please, my granddaughter?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Just hold on, ma`am.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Thank you.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Are they putting us through?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: If this has worked, it`s the easiest prank call we`ve ever made. Your accent sucked, by the way. I just wanted you to know.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I`m not used to playing old 80-year-olds.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Kate, my darling, are you there?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Good morning, ma`am, this is the nurse speaking. How may I help you?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hello. I`m just after my granddaughter, Kate. I want to see how her little tummy bug is going.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I mean, can you believe they actually got through like that? CNN correspondent Max Foster is with us tonight in London just outside King Edward VII Hospital.

Max, it actually is pretty disturbing that they were able to get through and be so convincing to this nurse. Did the nurse reveal any details about Catherine`s condition?

MAX FOSTER, CNN ROYAL CORRESPONDENT: Oh, yes, she did. There are some details that she revealed, and we can`t re-reveal them, because it`s a case of patient confidentiality.

But, yes, she gave some details and not profound details, but this is strictly against their rules and arguably against the law and shouldn`t have been allowed. Extraordinary, A.J., when you hear those accents and those impersonations they sound nothing like the Queen and Prince Charles. But maybe the nurse was just thrown. There is clearly a problem with the system here, the telephone system. They shouldn`t have been able to get through.

HAMMER: Yes. I mean, it is mind-boggling that there weren`t any safeguards in place that prevented that from happening. So have you been given any sense how these DJs with those terrible accents got through so easily?

FOSTER: Just did what they did. They rang up and they got through. What you have on that tape is literally what happened. They are -- they are reviewing their systems obviously.

We spoke to the chief executive earlier, as well, and he said actually he thinks these Australian broadcasters have broken the law, so he may be considering legal action.

Prince William left a bit earlier on and he had a smile on his face. So he doesn`t seem too concerned. Normally, I would say that he would be very concerned. This is crossing a line into his private life. He is very fiercely protective of his private life, of his wife in particular and probably his unborn child, as well, I would have said.

So we haven`t had a huge reaction. But certainly, there`s concern that this is possible. And it`s a lesson looking ahead to the next however many months of speculation around this baby talk and how the palace may handle it.

HAMMER: It`s amazing, and you know, if prank calls like that were somehow illegal here in the United States, Max, there would be a lot of DJs in jail right now.

Thank you so much for being with us. CNN`s Max Foster.

I want to take a look at the apology now that the radio station put out today. This is the radio station where those DJs called from. "2Day FM sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the inquiry to Kate`s hospital. The radio segment was done with the best intentions and we wish Kate and her family all the best." Cheerio. OK, I added in "cheerio," but the best intentions? Really?

Nikki Boyer, the host of Yahoo! TV "Daytime in No Time" is in Hollywood tonight.

So Nikki, look, I get prank phone calls. I get that they were trying to be funny, but what kind of apology is that? Done with the best intentions?

NIKKI BOYER, HOST, YAHOO! TV "DAYTIME IN NO TIME": Yes. What were the intentions? I think that done with the best intentions for ratings is what they were hoping for.

Hey, listen, you can`t blame them. They do what they do. These shows are constantly looking to just push the envelope, and I think they definitely did.

And to be honest, Kate is one of the most talked about people in the world right now. According to Yahoo!`s search list of 2012, she`s No. 5, so you can`t blame them that they -- that they tried. I think they were shocked that they actually got through and it went that far. I`m sure in their production meeting that morning they were thinking, "Let`s try it and see where this goes," having no real intention of getting through. So I don`t -- I don`t know about their apology, but you can`t blame them for trying.

HAMMER: No. You can`t. and I don`t know the broadcasting regulations over there across the pond, but if it`s actually not illegal, wow, what a coup for these guys in how much publicity they`re actually getting for it. I mean, getting publicity over here doesn`t do them a whole lot of good.

BOYER: Yes.

HAMMER: But here`s what I`m wondering: how the people in the hospital -- I mean, you heard them. They answer the phone, and they actually thought that possibly the Queen and prince would pick up the phone themselves to call and ask about Kate`s condition? The accent was -- let`s listen to the accent again. It was terrible.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hello. Good morning.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hello there. Could I please speak to Kate, please, my granddaughter?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes. Just hold on, ma`am.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Thank you.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Are they putting us through?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I think I would have gotten through had I done that myself.

In another part of the call the nurse actually did reveal, as we heard Max Foster telling us, some pretty super private information about Kate`s condition, privileged information anyway.

"People Magazine`s" Raha Lewis is also in Hollywood tonight. Raha, the royal family has got to be livid about this.

RAHA LEWIS, "PEOPLE MAGAZINE": This is a very serious matter of privacy and health. I actually grew up in Australia, so I`m very familiar with 2Day FM and the style of comedy. And, you know, they did say they really didn`t think it was going to go that far. But it is actually something quite serious, that they got that information and shared it.

HAMMER: Yes, and the fact that the information -- and we can`t share it with you because it is privileged, but it actually did get on the air there on 2Day FM.

LEWIS: Right.

HAMMER: The Catherine baby drama right there front and center as we would expect on the cover of the new issue of "People Magazine." It`s going to hit newsstands on Friday. And there is the cover.

And the revealing new details are No. 2 on our SHOWBIZ Countdown of the "Royal Baby Bonanza". Raha, apparently, and I think this is fascinating but not entirely unexpected, the timing of the pregnancy was very intentional. Explain what "People" has learned about that.

LEWIS: Well, look, we`ve been told -- we actually know that Kate is so super-organized and as a couple they`re so diligent and organized in everything that they do. So it`s unlikely that anything would have been left to chance is what we were told, and that this was planned and that the timing is just how they wanted it.

HAMMER: Wow. So apparently, William and Kate timed the pregnancy that they didn`t want to upstage the Queen. I mean, Nikki, does this surprise you at all?

BOYER: Oh, not at all. I love that they -- I love that they give her so much credit, bless her heart. I mean, I know women, we have a lot of power in the world, but I didn`t know we could time things out to, you know, the Diamond Jubilee. I mean, they arranged it so that it wouldn`t interfere with that, and that is -- that is multitasking, my friend. Kate, thumbs up for that.

HAMMER: Yes. Nice going. It`s good planning. I guess if you`re the royal family, you have to plan things very carefully.

There was also another item in the "People Magazine" article that I noticed, Raha, that I wanted to ask you about. You explain exactly how Prince William went about breaking the news of Kate`s pregnancy to the royal family.

Now, we know in any ordinary family, it`s a big deal. The guy probably gets pretty nervous about it, but you`re talking about the Queen Mum here. How did this go?

LEWIS: Right. Well, look, they were actually trying to keep it a secret at least until Christmas. Palace sources tell us that she is maybe approximately nine weeks at this point, but unfortunately, the trip to the hospital forced their hand a little bit.

So the first thing he did before he got to the hospital was inform the Queen, his father, and his brother, and then friends and family found out, obviously, shortly after that.

HAMMER: So we`re getting a worldwide hysteria here. We`ve got the prank calls going on, wild speculation, of course, about the baby`s gender, and Kate may not even be out of the first trimester yet, Nikki. We`re definitely in for a wild ride over the next few months with all this, aren`t we?

BOYER: Oh, yes. It is just beginning. Oh, gosh, can you imagine what is going to happen? I mean, look at us. We`re talking about it now, and she is -- she`s barely pregnant. Oh, my gosh, give the girl a break.

But I love that she is -- they`re commenting on how grateful they are for the well wishes. And I`m just wondering at what point are these two, are William and Kate going to stop and go, "Oh, my gosh, enough already." I mean, maybe they will get to that point. I can`t imagine being in their shoes and how crazy this must be, and I cannot imagine being in the nurse`s shoes, the nurse that answered that phone call. I wonder if she still has a job.

HAMMER: Yes, shoes that may no longer be working in that hospital.

BOYER: Exactly.

HAMMER: I figure they went through the royal wedding and they saw all of the, you know, constant attention to that. They`re probably used to it by now.

But out of all stories breaking today in the "Royal Baby Bonanza," only one can be No. 1 in our SHOWBIZ Countdown. That moment is coming up. And later on, after we name our No. 1, our royal baby coverage will continue with a good laugh about all of this. Like can you believe this royal baby is already tweeting?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JEANNE MOOS, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): This is definitely a first, a first royal to have competing parody Twitter accounts while still in the womb. This royal fetus says, "I live inside a princess" while this royal fetus says, "It`s hardly Buckingham Palace in here."

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Nice. It was only a matter of time, right? Tonight the royal fetus funnies.

And picture this: you and Jay-Z sitting together just chatting it up on the subway. But you actually don`t know it`s Jay-Z. This truly happened to one woman. She had no idea that it was Jay-Z she was sitting with. All of it was caught on tape. It`s pretty amazing. You have got to see it, and I will play it for you, coming up.

This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s countdown, the top three twists and turns today in the "Royal Baby Bonanza".

Coming in at No. 3, a royal prank call. Two radio DJs from Australia actually got through to a nurse at the London hospital where pregnant Duchess Catherine is being treated for extreme morning sickness. They were pretending to be Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles, and the nurse on the phone bought it and revealed some private information.

Coming in at No. 2, the brand-new details revealed today about just how planned this royal expectation is, right down to the date of the baby`s birth.

That leads us to No. 1 in our SHOWBIZ Countdown, It`s the royal maternity fashion mania. We know just how quickly Catherine`s fashion choices turned heads before she was even pregnant. So what can we expect now that she is expecting? Well, we have an insider who`s going to give us a very good idea about that.

Joining me from Hollywood for our "SHOWBIZ Newsmaker" interview, Nicki Penny. Nicki was a friend of Catherine`s and was also her stylist and also styled Catherine`s sister Pippa.

Nicki, it`s great having you here. I have to imagine Catherine is not bringing back the muumuu. So what can we expect from her during her maternity?

NICKI PENNY, FRIEND OF CATHERINE`S: Well, A.J., Catherine will be very chic and classic and elegant. And basically, her maternity style will mirror her style right now, which is always just immaculate and quite sexy but demure and just really, really sophisticated.

And a lot of the designers that she even actually wears all the time, even McQueen, who actually, funny enough Sara Burton, the designer for McQueen, is pregnant, too, and has been wearing a lot of custom pieces. And so all of them will be clamoring to make her gorgeous maternity pieces.

HAMMER: Yes.

PENNY: She will be making maternity wear the chicest thing ever.

HAMMER: No question about it. Why not be consistent? Why throw out the style now? You would expect that from her. Catherine has a lot of friends in high places, which also includes designer and mom Victoria Beckham, who I mean, she just looks amazing and she did through all of her pregnancies.

And now that Victoria is a designer, Nicki, I`m thinking Catherine might be leaning on her for advice. What do you think?

PENNY: Oh, definitely. And Victoria is a professional at maternity wear, because she`s had a couple of children. And she always looks phenomenal. And she wears a lot of black, a lot of cape dresses, empire waist dresses, all of the things that you can kind of see Catherine in.

And also she`s got, obviously, her own line, so she makes a lot of the pieces especially for herself. And I`m sure she`s the first person that`s going to be gifting Kate with tons of beautiful and elegant things to wear.

HAMMER: Yes. I can`t even imagine how, when you`re royalty, you begin to sort through all of the gifts you get, because we know what happens with our celebrities here in the U.S. and all the stuff they get sent to them.

And of course here in the U.S., our royalty, the celebrities who have made pregnancy a real fashion statement like Natalie Portman. I mean, look at how amazing she looked when she was pregnant. This was right in the middle of awards season and that has to be tough. She just pulled off some really beautiful elegant looks when she was pregnant with her son.

And then there`s Beyonce. We all know she really looked great and rocked some different looks when she was pregnant, kept up with her performances and her appearances on the red carpet when she was expecting.

We know Catherine is going to have to keep hers up, as well, so, Nicki, do you see Catherine looking to the example set by these Hollywood stars?

PENNY: Well, I think about all of the three Hollywood stars that you just mentioned, A.J., the great thing is their maternity style was consistent with their style prior to them being pregnant. They`re just emphasizing their body shapes in a way that they feel comfortable and, you know, using styles that they like and colors that are playful but still emphasizing the bumps in the right way.

HAMMER: Right.

PENNY: And I think Catherine will be doing exactly the same thing. She will just be heightening her glamour with all the beautiful maternity gowns and coats and capes and a lot of even the street brands she loves, they already all do maternity lines, too.

Perfect. Well, she`ll continue to glow and your insight is terrific, Nicki. Thank you so much.

Well, moving on now to Gym Tan Duchess. You`re going to lose this. "Jersey Shore" star Snooki actually giving mommy advice to the Duchess of Cambridge. You know, I don`t really picture these two having tea time together.

What did Snooki have to say to Catherine? I`m going to tell you. Also, Angelina Jolie`s retirement bombshell, saying she may actually quit acting. Well, she does have six kids and an Oscar but should she quit or is she jumping the gun?

Who`s going to top the SHOWBIZ Countdown of stories making us do a double take?

This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Jamie Foxx is Electro. Yes, the Oscar winner just revealed to "Entertainment Tonight" that he will star as the villain Electro, also known as Max Dylan, in "The Amazing Spider-man 2." This is going to be quite the switch from his emotional role in the controversial film "Django Unchained."

Foxx just sat down with SHOWBIZ TONIGHT to reveal his most emotional moment from his new movie. "Django Unchained" is getting a lot of buzz thanks to Tarantino and the amazing all-star cast. You`ve got Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington, Jamie Foxx all together in this thing.

Jamie just sat down with SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter for a brand-new "SHOWBIZ Newsmaker" interview, and the Oscar winner gives us an emotional peek inside Tarantino`s dramatic take on America in the era of slavery.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

JAIME FOXX, ACTOR: One of the most interesting and tough things was when I had to watch my girl, Kerry Washington, receive lashes because we ran away.

And when we shot that day, everyone was sitting quietly, all of the women especially, very quiet. And I could see Kerry getting ready for the scene and they were shooting my side of the scene, and Quinton Tarantino would play certain music in between. And so I asked for certain music at this time. And I asked for Fred Hammond and a sang was (SINGING) No weapons for me.

KAREEN WYNTER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT CORRESPONDENT: Everyone`s crying.

FOXX: And one of the ladies that was an extra who had never been on the set before from New Orleans, her hands went up. And she grabbed the child that she was with and started holding him because the music was playing through the whole thing and I watched Quinton Tarantino as he was shooting and the eye piece filled up with water. And he`s like, "I had no idea" and I said, "That`s what it is. That`s what -- that`s that ground that you`re opening up." And it was amazing.

WYNTER: The film is going to move so many people.

FOXX: Yes.

WYNTER: And really bring that message forward.

FOXX: Really. And the message of when you were black at that time and you were not allowed to be in love. You were not allowed to have a wife, which if you look for 200 to 300 years of that, it becomes DNA. So maybe that has something to do with our life now and why there is so many, myself, you know, just so afraid of having that and it becomes DNA.

WYNTER: Was this one of more difficult films you have ever had?

FOXX: Yes.

WYNTER: Why? Because it`s so personal.

FOXX: Look at it like this. When you talk about slavery, back up. When you talk about Jews and the Holocaust every two or three years there`s a reminder. There`s a story, there`s a movie, there`s a television show. Slavery for us, we`re so afraid of it.

A lot of people don`t know when we freed slaves. We don`t know anything about it. And some of the things I was even learning about it that I had no idea. And I was like this is the moment, this is the moment to show it in its truest, most brutal way and at the same time wrapped in a love story. So I think people are going to really be surprised.

WYNTER: Yes.

FOXX: And it`s, like I said, powerful.

WYNTER: This is our history; this is our background. Did you learn anything?

FOXX: Yes. I learned a lot. But what I did is I took my daughters down to Shack Row and the plantation in New Orleans and had them see this is where you come from.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: That was SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Kareen Wynter there with "Django`s" star, Jamie Foxx. And "Django Unchained" will be in theaters Christmas day.

So we have some big news from Angelina Jolie tonight. She may be quitting the acting business for good. Now, she already has an Oscar. She is the mother of six. In fact, one of her kids is about to be 13. Can you believe that? Is it time for Angelina to retire? Is she jumping the gun.

And Beverly Hills flop? Eddie Murphy`s topped the box office so many times. So why is he being called the most overpaid actor of the year? We count down the top five stories making us do a double take.

This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Right now in the SHOWBIZ Countdown, "SHOWBIZ Double Take." Is Angelina Jolie about to quit acting? The Oscar winner says she may be hanging it up, but is she jumping the gun? And gym tan duchess. "Jersey Shore" star and new mom Snooki revealing her advice for royal mother-to-be Catherine Middleton. Really? Will Snooki`s royal tips top Angelina`s retirement? The SHOWBIZ Countdown of the top five stories that are making us do a double take.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT continues right now.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Thank you for watching. I am A.J. Hammer.

And tonight, it is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT countdown "Double Take", the top five big stories breaking that have us taking that have us take a second look.

Let`s get this countdown rolling with number five tonight. It is a stunning new revelation from Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie. She just revealed when and why she plans to give up acting.

Jolie just told a British news outlet she will be ready to quit Hollywood when her children hit the teenaged years. Well, this morning the ladies of ABC`s "The View" could not wait to chime in on Angelina`s big decisions. Let`s watch that.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: From my own experience and I think this is what you`re talking about, the teenaged years are very difficult and they don`t want to be with you but you want to be with them.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes. My kids are not allowed to be teenagers.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: In the case of Angelina Jolie, if she is making a movie, she has to go away. It is a different thing than usually than coming home.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I am not worried about Angelina Jolie.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes. I don`t think a lot of people are really worried about her. But still, Hollywood without Angelina? Kind of hard to imagine, right?

In Atlanta tonight, R&B singer Syleena Johnson. Syleena is a cast member on the hit TV One reality series, "R&B Divas". Great to have you here.

From Hollywood, actor and comedian Bill Bellamy. He stars on the hit sitcom, "Mr. Box Office". Bill is performing at the Improv in Irving, California, December 6th through 8th. I urge you to go see him. Great to have you here as always, Bill.

So, Angelina`s oldest son Maddox is going to be 13 in just two years. That is going to be here before you know it, of course. Angelina is an actress very much in demand these days, Bill. Do you think she jumped the gun by revealing too soon she is ready to give up acting?

BILL BELLAMY, ACTOR: Well, you know, she has about 9,000 kids, so it is probably on the back of her head the pressure of being a mom, you know, as well and being the superstar, that is very, very difficult to balance, you know, with all of those kids and how big of a star she is. She probably said, you know what, I could take off for a couple of years. I don`t want her to take off because I just love looking at those beautiful lips. Because you know, her lips make my lips feel normal, so I am like, OK, cool.

(LAUGHTER)

HAMMER: The lips, the legs, also a fine actress. But remember, Brad Pitt actually offered a pretty similar revelation last year. He said that he was going to retire at 50. Well, guess what everybody, that`s next year.

Syleena, is Brandelina retirement just bad news for Hollywood?

SYLEENA JOHNSON, SINGER: It is terrible news for me.

BELLAMY: We can`t let them go.

JOHNSON: It is terrible news for me because I love Brad Pitt. He is real fine. So, I would be very upset if he is not on the television screen for me and that would suck.

HAMMER: I get it. Syleena, you`re looking at Brad. We have Bill looking at Angelina and we move from an Angelina to a Jay-Z bona fide shocker. This is a great story.

So number four, on the countdown "Double Take". Jay-Z`s humbling subway moment. The hip-hop icon just released a documentary all about his eight shows opening up in the Barclays center in Brooklyn, New York earlier this year. And on the last night, you might remember this, Jay ditched his luxury ride to Brooklyn and he hopped on the subway with his entourage and a camera.

And as you can imagine, that stirred up a whole lot of interest among very curious subway riders including Ellen, that`s who Jay-Z sat next to on the train, not Ellen DeGeneres, just Ellen. Well, what happened next is really the ultimate only in New York moment. Let us watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ELLEN, TRAIN PASSENGER: Are you famous?

JAY-Z, SINGER: Yes. Not very famous if you don`t know me. But, I will get there someday. My name is Jay. What is your name?

ELLEN: Ellen. What do you do?

JAY -Z: I make music.

ELLEN: Great. Did you just do a performance?

JAY -Z: I`m on my way to a performance in Brooklyn, at the new Brooklyn arena.

ELLEN: Oh, that fabulous.

JAY -Z: I performed eight shows actually.

ELLEN: Already?

JAY -Z: This is the last show.

ELLEN: Are you going by subway?

JAY -Z: Yes.

ELLEN: I`m proud of you.

JAY -Z: OK.

ELLEN: Say your name again, just so I get it.

JAY -Z: Jay-Z.

ELLEN: Oh, you`re Jay-Z. I know about Jay-Z.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: You know how much do you love Ellen right now? And you know that SHOWBIZ TONIGHT fans are loving on Jay-Z a little more after that. I am sure the millions of other fans do as well.

Bill, I imagine a lot of Jay-Z fans were just kicking themselves for not taking the subway that night like Ellen was fortunate enough to do. Do you think this earns the guy some extra cool points not that he needs them?

BELLAMY: Man, I thought that was such a sweet move, man, to get down on the subway and just kick it with real people. That lady was real. That`s the New Yorker. She is just like who? What? And what else is good about the subway? No traffic. It is pretty good.

HAMMER: Yes. Exactly. You know Bill. This is my hometown and also down in the subways, New Yorkers would be like as Ellen was, oh, Jay-Z, nice, I heard of him, not like she went berserk.

BELLAMY: Right. No. She wasn`t even tripping.

HAMMER: Are you with me, Syleena. That Jay couldn`t handle that any better?

JOHNSON: I thought it was the cutest thing I have ever seen. I mean, she was just like who are you and what do you do? But, she was still encouraging, you know, like old school people being real encouraging of everything you do. I`m proud of you, baby, that`s good.

HAMMER: Good for you.

JOHNSON: Very good. He was able to dodge gas prices this way and take the subway. I am very proud of both of them.

HAMMER: If our mayor can take the subway, Jay-Z can take the subway. I don`t know if he will any time soon. But let`s keep the countdown moving right now.

Eddie Murphy number three on our SHOWBIZ Countdown, "Double Take", with Eddie topping Forbes list as the most overpaid actor. Take a look at this.

Murphy is coming in at number one on this list. Katherine Heigl coming in at number two on the list. You have Reese Witherspoon at number three, number four, Sandra Bullock. And let me explain what Forbes does. They make up this list by calculating earnings, returns, and box office numbers versus what the star was actually paid.

Billy, surprised by this outcome?

BELLAMY: Yes. I mean, Eddie Murphy movies are made so much money over his career. I don`t know how he could be over paid for what he has earned for the studios and stuff. But, I think I want to be on the list, Karl. It is time to get paid list. I want to be at the top of that one.

(LAUGHTER)

HAMMER: Well, to be very clear, to be very clear, Bill. You know, he is making movies these days and just not a lot of people are seeing them. He starred in meet Dave, he starred in "A Thousand Words", he starred in imagine that. But the fact is, the fans are not turning out to see those movies, Syleena. What do you think that`s about?

JOHNSON: I am going to have to go with Bill on this one. Eddie Murphy can do no wrong. Quiet as a cat, he should have got an Oscar for "Norbit", OK? And I don`t appreciate this list one bit.

(LAUGHTER)

JOHNSON: Eddie Murphy is the man, OK? He goes from "Beverly Hills Cop" to Professor Cox. OK, look. Don`t hate his gangster. He is the bomb.

HAMMER: All right. All right. Look Bill, I know as a comedian --

BELLAMY: Did she say Oscar for "Norbit"?

HAMMER: Yes.

JOHNSON: Yes.

HAMMER: Maybe it could be a retroactive Oscar for "Norbit". No doubt, you know.

But, in all seriousness, hold on, Bill, I am reeling you in. Because I know - look, I am sure you worshipped Eddie Murphy as you were coming up and making a name for yourself as the superstar comedian you have, in fact, become. But you know, if he is putting out the movies and they`re not bringing the bank, he made the list because of a formula really. I mean, can you have some understanding there? Why he would make the top?

BELLAMY: You know what it is? You know, I get what they`re saying, you know, if your movies around performing well and the salary is really high, they`re trying to figure out, you know, OK, is it worth paying you x amount of dollars for X amount of output. But, the reality of the matter is you have to go back to the drawing board, you know, maybe go back to something that resonates with the fans and rejuvenate that thing whether it is "Beverly Hills Cop" or (INAUDIBLE) was crazy. I mean, I was walking around for months going, "Good morning, Ms. Purdy."

HAMMER: Syleena, let me ask you this. Do you think Eddie even gives a damn for a moment about this?

JOHNSON: I don`t think he cares, A.J.

BELLAMY: No.

JOHNSON: I am sorry.

BELLAMY: No, man.

JOHNSON: But you know, at the end of the day, you know, it is not just always about the actor. You know, it could be the script. You know, how can you determine these things all the time, you know? I don`t think they should always pin everything on the actor, you know. It could be, you know, part of the movie in itself that may be whack.

HAMMER: You never know why things work sometimes and never why they fail.

So, if Angelina retirement, Jay-Z`s candid subway moment -- I will be with you in a second, Bill. Eddie Murphy at the top of the Forbes` list are not number one on the SHOWBIZ Countdown, what is? I can tell you it is a SHOWBIZ Showdown between Snooki`s advice for royal mom-to-be. She is qualified, you know. She is a mom now, and the worldwide fetus frenzy.

Which story will top the SHOWBIZ Countdown "Double Take"? The big reveal is next.

Now, I don`t want a lot for Christmas but this, this is a must have for everybody. Mariah Carrey and Jimmy Fallon amazingly cute as super viral Christmas duet.

(VIDEO CLIP PLAYING)

HAMMER: I can`t wait to show this to you. You got see it. Four kids, Mariah, Jimmy and a strip down roots in a must see holiday viral video, it is coming up.

This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I am A.J. Hammer.

We are counting down the top five stories that have us doing a double take.

Coming in at number two, one really funny double take on the news frenzy over Duchess Catherine`s pregnancy from the way reporters are pronouncing the condition to hysteria over the thought of royal twins, imagine that. Who knew a royal pregnancy could be this funny?

Here is CNN`s Jeannie Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

MOOS (voice-over): Talk about an ultrasound. It is the sound of the world press clicking at the father of the royal fetus.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Big, big, big news.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: She is going to crumpet in the pot. A doodle in the noodle.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: What happens if they have twins?

MOOS: First one out gets the thrown. No joke.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Don`t I am out first because I want to be heir.

MOOS: This is definitely a first, the first royal to have competing parody twitter accounts while still in the womb. This royal fetus says I live inside a princess. While this royal fetus says it is hardly Buckingham Palace in here.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You can tell the baby is a member of the royal family because Kate says she can already feel it waving.

MOOS: The duchess is probably not laughing at this point because of a medical condition that is a mouthful.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hyperemesis gravidarium, you mean.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hyperemesis gravidarium.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hyperemesis gravidarium.

MOOS: Now, when you covering this story, there is nothing wrong with a --

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hyperemesis gravidarium.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Hyperemesis gravidarium which sound like Harry Potter thing.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hyperemesis gravidarium which means you throw up a lot.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It is kind of like morning sickness on steroids.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: This is morning sickness like a tornado is a little wind.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It is more like morning, noon, and night sickness.

MOOS: And you can expect morning, noon, and night coverage.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We`ll be here for months.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Now, I can`t not only person who doesn`t give a crap that Kate Middleton is having a royal baby.

MOOS: Don`t be so stern, Howard, it is a baby.

At a hockey game in Calgary, Canada, the crowd celebrated by throwing more than 21,000 teddy bears onto the ice. OK. It had nothing to do with the announcement of the royal pregnancy. The stuffed teddies go to needy kids. But hey, it happened just a day before the baby news went public foretelling the bless he had event.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Is that her holding her abandon?

MOOS: Anyway, the Duchess could probably use a teddy, the way she has been feeling while the whole world watch it.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Perhaps the most public gestation since the latest expecting panda.

MOOS: At least the panda didn`t have to bear morning, noon and night sickness.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: That was Jeannie Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. That leaves us at number one on the countdown with the top five stories breaking today that have us doing a "Double Take". Do not panic. We`ll reveal that in just a moment.

But first, did you see this? Nothing like a good holiday song to add excitement to the mix. But Jimmy Fallon may have out done himself this time.

(VIDEO CLIP PLAYING)

HAMMER: My favorite video of the day and I will play it for you. It is a viral video of Jimmy along with Mariah. Jimmy playing the riff, why did it catch our eye? We`re going to play it for you in moments.

This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is counting down the top five stories that have us doing a double take today.

Coming in at number five, Angelina Jolie`s stunning revelation about her plans to give up acting when her kids become teenagers.

And in number four, rapper Jay-Z`s humbling subway moment sitting next to a woman that has no idea he is a star.

At number three, funny man Eddie Murphy topping Forbes` list as the most overpaid actor.

Number two, one really funny double take on the news frenzy over Duchess Catherine`s pregnancy.

And coming in at number one on our top five stories that have us doing a double take, reality TV`s royal star newly-minted mommy and "Jersey Shore" star, Snooki, giving advice to royal Duchess Catherine. Yikes.

Back with me now from Atlanta, R&B singer Syleena Johnson is a cast member on TV One`s reality series "R&B Divas". And from Hollywood, actor and comedian Bill Bellamy who stars in hit sitcom "Mr. Box Office."

It is funny but it is true. Snooki, of course, just gave birth to her first child in August and now offered up her advice to the duchess and I will read to you now, what she is telling "The Daily News."

"It is hard, but don`t stress out. Enjoy your pregnancy and be excited. Enjoy your time at home or a castle in her case with a baby, especially in the first few months. Congrats to Will and Kate. I am sure she will be an amazing mom."

I don`t know which voice that was, but I think that it was nice of Snooki to wish the Duchess well, Bill. But it is funny hearing this kind of a thing from Snooki who, of course, is really best known as a "Jersey Shore" party girl.

BELLAMY: Right. I mean, actually, that`s not bad advice for Snooki. I am actually surprised that she gave such a solid good advice for Kate. But, you know, she comes from a really rugged background of partying and having a great time. You know she will throw a few kegs in there.

HAMMER: Bill, I just love that. I love that you call her Snooki, too.

So, Syleena, if not Snooki, then what other --

BELLAMY: Snooki.

HAMMER: What other moms should she be taking motherly advice from?

JOHNSON: Well, you know what, it really doesn`t matter. Kate is going to have 5,000 zillion advisers, and she, honey, isn`t going to have to do nothing. It is going to be like, here, hold the baby, feed the baby, do everything. Like she will not have to do anything. So, she really doesn`t need any advice.

However, every mother knows what time it really is, so Snooki is like look, honey, you have to do this, that and the others, she just keeping it gangster for Kate. That`s all. She`s never going to be prepared for this baby thing. So, I mean, she has 50,000 advisers.

HAMMER: I would like to see Kate keeping it gangster actually.

Here is another revelation from Snooki that is going to make you do a double take. She gave another interview, to MTV News, in this case. Snooki has revealed that she plans to have -- are you ready for this? Four children. Four, Bill. Four. How do you see that reality show playing out, my friend?

JOHNSON: No.

BELLAMY: Oh, man.

JOHNSON: No.

BELLAMY: I think that show is going to be Snooki and all them damn kids, that`s what it will be called.

JOHNSON: "Snooki and the Snookets."

BELLAMY: I think that motherhood, all jokes aside, I think motherhood changes ladies for the better.

JOHNSON: Absolutely.

BELLAMY: I think she is going to grow up, I mean, now that she is a mom, you know. She is going to have a different vibe. I don`t see her being the same Snooki she was on, you know, the crazy MTV show. So, if she has four kids, she definitely won`t be doing reality. Her life will be real.

HAMMER: Look. We have had a lot of fun with it. But, I think it is one of the best things that could happen it to her.

We leave it there, Bill Bellamy and Syleena Johnson. Thanks to you both.

BELLAMY: Absolutely.

JOHNSON: Thank you.

HAMMER: So, what do you get when awe combine a brilliant comedian, a pop diva and the best musical instruments you can find in kindergarten? Well, it is the latest viral video sensation.

(VIDEO CLIP PLAYING)

HAMMER: I absolutely love this. Jimmy Fallon and Mariah Carey taking it to a whole new level. It is coming up next.

This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(VIDEO CLIP PLAYING)

HAMMER: Did you see this? I love it. Jimmy Fallon pulls together an awesome viral video to promote "The Late Night Show". His formula for laughs, it is great band the roots, some elementary school instruments, the lovely Mariah Carey and Mariah`s the hip holiday song, "All I Want For Christmas is You." Doesn`t get better than this.

Let`s watch.

(VIDEO CLIP PLAYING)

HAMMER: We were dancing around today in the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom, really, buzzing big time over this. Mariah looks great, doesn`t she? She sounds great, of course. And perhaps this is my favorite viral video of the holiday season. Nice going, Jimmy.

I certainly would have loved to have been behind the scenes to hear how all of that came together and that brings us to this, say what?
