NATASHA CURRY, HOST: Tonight on the "SHOWBIZ Countdown," the top three news makers. Did NBA star Lamar Odom really check into rehab? Lamar is making headlines once again after a DUI arrest last week. So is today`s rehab news a good sign? Tonight we`re one on one with another former NBA star, Chris Herren, who can speak from experience. Tonight, Chris shares his take on rebounding from addiction.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ALYSSA MILANO, ACTRESS: Look at you. So romantic. I can see that. Wow. I want to show you something.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I want to show you something.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: Caught on camera, an Alyssa Milano sex tape. This video has a truly unexpected twist. But is it the No. 1 story caught on tape today?

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT starts right now.

Hi there, I`m Natasha Curry. A.J. Hammer is off night.

Tonight in a "SHOWBIZ Countdown," we`re bringing you three powerful headline-making "SHOWBIZ Newsmaker" interviews.

And we`re kicking off the countdown with No. 3. Saving Lamar Odom. Khloe Kardashian`s husband may or may not in rehab tonight after weeks of wild stories that he`s totally out of control and his arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence.

"People" magazine is revealing today that Lamar checked into the -- into a drug-and-alcohol rehab center to get his life together, including his career of playing basketball in the NBA.

But TMZ reports that he is not in rehab. But his wife Khloe has told him, if he doesn`t get help, she will end their marriage.

And no one knows better what it`s like to lose it all because of addiction than former NBA player Chris Herren. Chris, I know you lost almost everything, including your family. You battled drugs for years. So Chris, though, I want you to know, he`s five years sober now. He`s a founder of the Herren Project, which helps others battling drug addiction and joins us tonight from Providence, Rhode Island.

So Chris, the question is, with Lamar Odom. We know he`s had drug issues for a while. Seemed like a super nice guy. But just like in the NBA, if all these stories are even true, maybe he`s not doing so well. Maybe he really does need help right now.

And I know you`re a former NBA player, and you`re a recovering addict yourself. Lamar`s situation, that must bring back some bad memories from your own life experience.

CHRIS HERREN, FORMER NBA PLAYER/RECOVERING ADDICT: You know, it does, and all you can do is pray for Lamar right now. You know when I heard the news that he had checked into treatment, there was a sigh of relief, because I know what that`s like, and I`ve been there and done that. So, for him, taking that step, that guarantees him a second chance right now and he has that blessing of starting over.

CURRY: Yes, and he has a wife who has just truly been behind him. Khloe has just been so strong with all of this. Lamar`s wife, Khloe Kardashian Odom, has reportedly been taking a hard line with him, in that she reportedly kicked him out of the house. And TMZ reports that she gave him an ultimatum this past weekend: Either get help or we`re getting divorced.

At the height of your drug problems, Chris, I know that there was a point where your wife also set some tough boundaries with you. What`s that like? Is this the wake-up call, maybe, that Lamar needs?

HERREN: Well, you hope so. But there`s always more bottoms. You know, there`s many bottoms in this life. And you know, it`s when you choose that that bottom is enough.

And hopefully, for Lamar`s sake, this is the final straw and you know, with the news that he checked in to treatment today. What a blessing, and it`s a way for him to get his life back.

CURRY: We are all holding our breath and just hoping for the best for him and his family.

I want to bring in Jane Velez-Mitchell, host of "JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL," seen here weekends on HLN at 7 p.m. Eastern.

Jane, Lamar, he`s reportedly tried rehab before, this apparently the first time that his marriage was on the line, and you`re also a recovering addict. So is an ultimatum from Khloe enough to get someone to seek help?

JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL, HLN ANCHOR: You know, ultimatums and interventions can be effective, but then again, sometimes they`re not. The incredible conundrum of addiction is that nobody, absolutely nobody, can help an addict get sober except the addict when the addict hits bottom.

And that is a very mysterious thing. When does it happen? There are high bottoms who get it. The light goes off, and they realize. They see themselves objectively when they still have their car and their house and their career.

And there are low bottoms who literally end up in the gutter and sometimes still don`t get it.

And it really is a moment of clarity where you get to see yourself as the other people see you and you go, "Oh, my God. I`ve to stop this. I can stop this."

And the most important thing: to realize you are powerless over the drug. Stop negotiating with it.

CURRY: Yes, and for now, Khloe is sticking with Lamar through all of it.

But Chris, based on what you went through with your own addiction and with your marriage, do you think that there is a point where you would tell Khloe that maybe she might be better off maybe stepping away from Lamar for a bit?

HERREN: You know, that`s different in everyone`s story. My wife and I I`m blessed to be married for 15 years. I have three beautiful kids, and I thank God every day that she stuck with it. Because I get to -- I get to wake up my kids for school in the morning and put them to bed at night. And that`s a blessing.

You know, Khloe knows, Lamar knows where their relationship are at and she`ll know when to step away if necessary.

CURRY: Yes. Well, she seems like a real tough lady, and we just are hoping for the best for both of them. Chris, Jane, thank you so much.

And our No. 2 news maker on our Countdown" tonight is a hero who is 8 years old. And we`re about to introduce him to you. He`s making news today for fighting off a woman who allegedly tried to kill him as he slept.

Jacob Soliz-Amaya was sleeping in his father`s home in Maryland when police say his father`s ex-girlfriend broke into the house, hid until the father left for work, and then allegedly tried to smother Jacob with a pillow and hit him in the head with a dumbbell.

But Jacob fought back with a head-butt and karate moves that -- that bought him enough time to escape to a neighbor`s house and call 911. Now, we`re going to play that 911 call for you in just a sec here. It`s extremely disturbing, first I want to warn you, but it does show you how heroic Jacob was.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: This is 911, tell me what happened.

JACOB SOLIZ-AMAYA, FOUGHT OFF MURDER ATTEMPT (via phone): Bleeding in my head. I`m visiting my dad`s house and, and this woman tried to kill me.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Were weapons involved or mentioned? Does the she have a weapon?

MYER: I don`t know. I didn`t even see it. She tried to kill me, for no reason.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: How absolutely terrifying. Police quickly found and arrested the woman, Helen Marie Newsome. She`s charged with first-degree attempted murder.

And with us now for a "SHOWBIZ Newsmaker" interview, the hero himself. Eight-year-old Jacob Soliz-Amaya joins us from Baltimore with his mama, Selena Soliz. Thanks for being on with us here.

Jacob, it`s great to see you just sitting up, doing all right, right now. I know you did suffer some injuries. How are you feeling right now, sweetie?

SOLIZ-AMAYA: Good.

CURRY: Good. Now what exactly -- your head is a little banged up, right? You have some stitches?

SOLIZ-AMAYA: I got nothing. Yes, I do. Yes. But they`re staples.

CURRY: They are staples in your head?

SOLIZ-AMAYA: They are staples.

CURRY: Yes. I cannot believe how brave you were.

I mean, Mom, I have two little boys, and I just -- I`m so proud of how you were able to fight off -- fight her off. I mean, I heard you used pretty good karate moves, too. Where did you learn to fight like that?

SOLIZ-AMAYA: Temple Karate.

SELENA SOLIZ, MOTHER: It was called extreme impact?

SOLIZ-AMAYA: Yes, it was called extreme impact.

CURRY: Yes. Well, nice work there.

And Selena, I cannot even imagine. I`m going to run home and hug my boys after talking to you guys. But this must have been a horrifying experience for all of you.

SOLIZ-AMAYA: Please do. He will learn a lot.

SOLIZ: You know, I could not have imagined how well he would handle this, to be perfectly honest with you. I was expecting a catatonic situation where I, you know, would have to nurse him back to health, and this kid is amazing. He`s incredible. He`s up, playing, clearly playing around now. He`s, you know, he`s just ready to go. Ready to go back to, you know, he`s ready to go back to school and, of course, now he wants to tell everybody how famous he is.

CURRY: He`s acting like a normal boy like nothing ever happened.

SOLIZ: Yes.

CURRY: I know police are calling him a hero.

SOLIZ: Like nothing happened. Yes, he is, absolutely he`s a hero. I mean, how many children are attacked a year and don`t make it out alive to tell their tale and my baby did?

CURRY: Yes.

SOLIZ: My baby, he did.

CURRY: Police are saying that he just was so great fighting back and on the phone with 911, doing a great job with that. What is your -- what is his friends -- what are they saying? What is anyone else saying to you guys about him being a hero?

SOLIZ: Well, honestly, everything, basically everyone is saying the same thing. He is a hero. He, you know, did exactly what he needed to do survive and instinct kicked in. And it was amazing.

His friends are so excited, and they just think he is the most awesome thing in the world, which he is, because he did something that even adults can`t do. And...

SOLIZ-AMAYA: I`m awesome.

CURRY: He`s adorable.

SOLIZ: He`ll be the first to tell you -- he`ll be the first to tell you that he is excited.

CURRY: How is he doing now? Are you guys going to be OK?

SOLIZ: You know, honestly -- you know, I really think we will be OK, because he is so strong. And he`s making -- he`s giving me strength. You know, me, I want to fall apart every moment of every day. But he is so strong that it really rubs right off on you that he is amazing.

And any moment that I want to stop and cry, he`s just smiling away. And it just wipes away the fear and the tears and the sadness, because he`s here. And he is -- yes, making funny faces but...

CURRY: Yes, well, it just brings tears to my eyes. You always hear about how little boys protect their mamas, you know, and you`ve got a strong one there.

SOLIZ-AMAYA: I do. It`s crazy. You never expect, you know, something like this to possibly happen to your child.

CURRY: Yes. I`m so -- I`m so glad you both are safe and we`ve got to leave it there, guys, but Jacob, Selena, thank you so much.

All right. From true courage to a big battle caught on camera.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Don`t lose your temper.

ANTHONY WEINER, NEW YORK MAYORAL CANDIDATE: What`s up? What`s up? What`s up? You wait until I walk out to say anything, that`s courage.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: New York City politician Anthony Weiner is no stranger to controversy, but a brand-new face-off with a voter is getting him some support now. So what`s behind these fireworks?

An Alyssa Milano sex tape? The headline alone has people clicking by the thousands.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Babe, you look hot.

MILANO: Thanks, babe. Look at you, so romantic.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: Tonight, we`re revealing the big twist to this sexy video.

This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

CURRY: It is the time now for the big reveal of today`s No. 1 newsmaker on the "SHOWBIZ Countdown": the mom who wrote an open letter to Texas A&M football star Johnny Manziel, telling him, get it together.

Yes, she went there after having to explain Manziel`s controversial behavior to her sixth-grade son. And that letter, yes, went viral.

She tells Manziel, "I want my son to look up to you as a person who made mistakes but found redemption. As a person who acknowledged mistakes and righted the ship. As a person who earned respect, not because of athletic ability but because of character in the face of trial. Stop being a lesson in what not to do."

So some very powerful words there. Beth Bates, the mom who wrote that open letter to Johnny Manziel, with us tonight from San Antonio, Texas.

Beth, thanks for joining us on the show. So tell me why you were so angry that you felt you needed to write that letter? Why not just point out, maybe, Johnny`s bad behavior and leave it there?

BETH BATES, WROTE OPEN LETTER TO JOHNNY MANZIEL: Well, you know, honestly, I wasn`t angry when I wrote the letter. It was more just a feeling of disappointment because of my son`s reaction to kind of seeing how the game went on Saturday.

He had heard news about the NCAA investigation and things like that. And as we all have. And you know, just was disappointing to not see it reigned in just a little bit, maybe, for game one, out the shoot.

CURRY: Yes. Well, I understand being protective about your son. You know, I`ve got two myself. Clearly, what you wrote, though, I mean, struck a chord. Because this part of the letter, it really struck me. "As I sat, as a very frustrated fan and mom, watching you trash talk and wondering if you learned a single lesson lately, and told you to get the chip off your shoulder and just play. I listened to my son see the good. He still sees what a tremendous athlete you are. He still sees that you`re not just good at football, you have a gift."

You`ve got the other side there, too. But why do you think your letter is getting such massive attention right now?

BATES: You know, I really think from what I personally have seen in the media, people either want to just trash him and that`s all it is, or they want to just say, he`s an athlete, don`t worry about anything else he does.

And after seeing that, and kind of seeing the reaction, I feel like what I wrote is more of a middle ground. It`s a -- as a mom, I see somebody`s son out there who I want great things for. And he has so much greatness in him that could just shine so brightly if he would let it get out there.

CURRY: Yes. Well, it sounds like some tough love, as a mom, like you said. And you mentioned before that you`ve met Johnny.

BATES: Right.

CURRY: How would you like him to respond to you?

BATES: You know, I would hope that he kind of got the heart of my letter. And really heard where I was coming from and did not see it as another attack on him. But really an encouragement that we do see greatness there and we see so much potential for greatness, and that`s what we want to see him live out.

CURRY: If you could talk to him right now, to Johnny Manziel, what would you say to him if you had that chance?

BATES: I would just tell him that, we are still fans, first and foremost. He is still from our hometown and, you know, I would just tell him that we want him to do so well. And we`re in his corner. And we support him. And we don`t want him -- I don`t want him to feel like he was being attacked and to just see that I want him to do well in everything in life.

CURRY: Well, Beth, you sound like just a concerned mom who wants the best for not only your own son but for Johnny Manziel, as well. And we thank you for being on the show and sharing that with us.

BATES: Thank you for having me.

CURRY: You bet, our pleasure.

There is no doubt Valerie Harper, that she`s a role model. Just six months after revealing her terminal cancer diagnosis, she announced she`s going to be on "Dancing with the Stars." What`s the real story behind her decision? We`re getting it straight from Valerie herself.

And Alyssa Milano`s sex tape? What? It`s a video that`s burning up the Internet.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MILANO: How romantic.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: (UNINTELLIGIBLE)

MILANO: I see that, wow.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What do you have there?

MILANO: A camera. I want to show you something.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes, I want to show you something.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: People are getting a big surprise when they click on it. Let`s just say expect the unexpected. It`s "SHOWBIZ Caught on Camera."

This it SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

VALERIE HARPER, ACTRESS: When he said to me, "I think you should do it, even if you only last one dance, you know, if it`s a disaster or you feel," I said OK.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: That`s Valerie Harper talking about her now-husband convincing her to join the cast of "Dancing with the Stars." Valerie`s story, it`s such an inspiration to so many of us. She`s battling cancer right now while she battles for the Mirror Ball trophy. Valerie, really just an inspiration, especially to her co-stars on "Dancing with the Stars." She`s already defying the odds in her battle with cancer, so how will she do on the dance floor?

Here`s CNN`s Nischelle Turner for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

NISCHELLE TURNER, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): "Dancing with the Stars" often features inspirational story lines, but this season is especially inspiring.

TOM BERGERON, HOST, ABC`S "DANCING WITH THE STARS": Welcome, Valerie Harper!

TURNER: Six months after Valerie Harper revealed she had a terminal form of cancer, she announced she`ll strap on her dancing shoes for the prime- time competition. She told me it was her husband, Tony, who convinced her to say yes.

HARPER: I said, "Oh, no, I can`t do it."

He said, "No, Valerie."

I said, "Give me one good reason."

"Because you have cancer. Get up there and show people that you can dance and do what -- and your doctors say it`s fine to exercise."

TURNER: The 74-year-old actress already has defied the expectations of her doctors, who thought she might not life through the summer, and she`s defied something else: a subtle expectation that a person with a terminal disease will slip into despair.

HARPER: This death sentence made me look it in the eye and then, once you do, it`s a great freedom. It`s almost like, go now. Go to Naples.

TURNER: Even "Dancing`s" hosts are inspired by their show`s newest contestant.

BERGERON: Such a great sense of humor. We were in adjacent make-up chairs this morning, and she said, "Hey, I`m past the expiration date." And...

BROOKE BURKE-CHARVET, CO-HOST, ABC`S "DANCING WITH THE STARS": I love it. She has the best attitude.

HARPER: Excuse me.

TURNER: Harper isn`t limiting herself to just dancing. She`s also acting, appearing just last night on an episode of TV Land`s "Hot in Cleveland," which featured a reunion of her old "Mary Tyler Moore Show" buddies.

HARPER: We went out on top.

TURNER: In the coming weeks, as long as her health holds up and voters keep her on the show, prime time will find Valerie dancing in the spotlight, and the motto she`ll have in mind? One from singer Lee Ann Womack.

(on camera): I heard you say, if you had the chance to sit it or dance, you will...

HARPER: I hope you dance. I hope you dance. And that`s what I`m saying to everybody. That`s my message. Dance.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

CURRY: That`s just a great attitude. We cannot wait to see Valerie hit the dance floor for the new season of "Dancing with the Stars." And a hunky partner. I`m sure that helps, too. It starts September 16 on ABC.

Next, this one dance, I`m sure New York politician Anthony Weiner could have skipped out on.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Don`t lose your temper!

WEINER: What`s up? What`s up? What`s that? You wait until I walk out to say anything, that`s courage.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: "Caught on Camera," Weiner`s heated face off with a voter. So what`s behind those fireworks, and how does it compete with this other "Caught on Camera" story?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Babe, you look hot.

MILANO: Thanks, babe. Look at you. How romantic.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: An Alyssa Milano sex tape? The headline alone has people clicking by the thousands. Tonight, we reveal the big twist in this sexy video.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: Right now, the "SHOWBIZ Countdown," "Caught on Camera." Alyssa Milano`s educational sex tape? Why she`s getting busy for the good of the entire world.

Weiner caught on camera again. This time, the New York politician, Anthony Weiner, gets nasty, mouthing off to a potential voter.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Don`t lose your temper!

WEINER: What`s up? What`s up? What`s that? You wait until I walk out to say anything, that`s courage.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: Woo! Lights, camera, action. Which jaw-dropping "Caught on Camera" drama is going to shoot to the top of the "SHOWBIZ Countdown"? "SHOWBIZ tonight" continues right now.

What is up? Welcome back to "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT." I`m Natasha Curry. A.J. Hammer is off tonight. Tonight, on the SHOWBIZ Countdown, the top three caught on camera moments we uncovered today that you have got to see. And we are picking it up with number three. Alyssa Milano`s sex tape, say what?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I have a surprise for you.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Look what I found.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Oh, man.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Babe, you look hot.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Thanks, babe. Look at you. So romantic.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Got you rose petals.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I see that.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What you got there?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: A camera. I want to show you something.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: So what in the world is going on in that Cabo hotel room with Alyssa Milano? Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Who cares.

ANNOUNCER: Our nation`s on the brink of yet another conflict in the Middle East, this time in Syria.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: You are like, what? A sex tape that includes a briefing on Syria, are you kidding?

Yeah, they are kidding. The video was just posted on FunnyOrDie.com. It has been viewed nearly 2 million times. I want to bring in Kita Williams, a celebrity publicist and TV personality, who I love (inaudible). What`s up, girl? So, Kita, I have got to admit, this is pretty clever.

KITA WILLIAMS, PUBLICIST: Yeah, certainly.

CURRY: And this is a lot steamier, this video, than anything we have ever seen her, you know, Alyssa do on like on Melrose Place. What did you make of this?

WILLIAMS: Actually, I thought it was brilliant. I don`t think most of us would consider Alyssa Milano, or as most of us know her from "Who is the Boss," our favorite girl Sam, being politically savvy. I think it was brilliant, number one, because it`s got our attention, and it`s giving us a reason to really talk about what is really happening in the world right now. And this is major, what is happening in Syria. So, if we are going to be funny or die trying, I think it`s better to do it this way, and she definitely made some heads stand up and pay attention to it.

CURRY: Yeah, for sure. Alyssa sex tape spoof. I mean that`s where the really interesting twist. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ANNOUNCER: This brutal action by the Syrian government on its own citizens crossed President Obama`s red line and now he has asked Congress for the ability to make tactical military strikes in Syria.

(MOANING)

ANNOUNCER: The American people await their decision. Now, on .

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: If you`re not having your hair, what you are doing - take them a little bit more than that .

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: Yeah, and they a clip there from the history channel`s audition "Swamp People" about hunting for alligators. So let`s say this (inaudible) from the Scott and Todd radio show on WPLJ in New York. So, Joe, Alyssa trying to send a message, clearly that people need to spend more time watching the situation in Syria, which is very serious.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes.

CURRY: Do you think that works that what she`s trying to do here?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: No, this is like the biggest let down of the summer. Guys cannot mix politics and sex.

(LAUGHTER)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Unless you are like Wolf Blitzer, you cannot handle it. You can only focus on one thing at one time and when I saw it in my inbox this morning, I was so excited, oh, I can`t believe it, the hot chic from "Who`s the Boss" is going to do it on my computer .

(LAUGHTER)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: . and it`s a big letdown. I don`t need a lesson from Syria - about Syria from the girls from "Who`s the Boss".

(LAUGHTER)

CURRY: Well, you know, the politician in flashes his own real life, making pictures on the Internet is number two on our "Caught on Camera" countdown, but no, Anthony Weiner get and do it again, but you`ve got to watch what just happened. What a heckler confronted him as he walked out of a bakery after a stop in his New York City mayoral campaign.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You are a real scumbag, Anthony.

(INAUDIBLE)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Daddy!

WEINER: Very nice. Very nice.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That`s a charming guy right there married to an Arab.

(CROSSTALK)

WEINER: Very mice. In front of the children you use that language. That is charming.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The last thing, you`re disgusting.

WEINER: Take one to know (CENSORED).

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: Wow, so, Kate, Weiner really lost his cool there. But can you blame him?

WILLIAMS: I can`t blame him. Actually, I don`t think he lost his cool, because he was throwing disgusting comments about him personally. I think he took offense to calling his wife an Arab. I mean I think .

CURRY: Yeah.

WILLIAMS: A lot of us Anthony Weiner had a mouth full of come back, for the first time we see him standing up, literally, in the right way. For something that makes sense. I think he stood up to the guy and told him listen, you know what - you`re just as disgusting as me to say these lewd comments, and particularly about his wife.

CURRY: Yes.

WILLIAMS: Two thumbs up! I hate to say it, for Weiner. I`m not necessarily an advocate for what he`s standing up for, but today I am.

CURRY: Yeah, it was great that he defended his wife by that. But things went from bad to worse, though, when the heckler baited Weiner even further. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Don`t lose your temper.

WEINER: What is that? What is that? What`s that? You wait until I walk out to say something, that`s courage.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We`ll have a discussion, come back in here, I`m not afraid of you.

(CROSSTALK)

CURRY: So, Joe, I mean you think Weiner should just ignore the hecklers from now on? Or does he deserve the .

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Now, this guy is a giant tool. No one ever thought it was possible. But we actually feel sorry for Anthony Weiner. We are not supposed to feel sorry for Anthony Weiner.

(LAUGHTER)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: This guy has accomplished it with two sentences. I mean he should have brought this guy out weeks ago and who knows, maybe he would have a better than eight percent on the polls. You know?

(LAUGHTER)

CURRY: Well, you know, if all of that was not bad enough, I mean the heckler, he really went after Weiner for his Internet sex-capade, calling him a deviant. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WEINER: I don`t take my judgment for you and I don`t judge you.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You`re bad - you`re bad example for the people.

WEINER: That`s your judgment?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: No, that`s obvious. You behavior is deviant.

WEINER: OK. OK. That`s why we have elections. That`s why .

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It`s a normal behavior.

WEINER: And you`re perfect, you`re going to judge me?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I`m not (inaudible).

WEINER: You know who judges me?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I`m answering the public.

WEINER: You know who judges me?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I`m telling you .

WEINER: You know who judges me?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That`s disgusting.

WEINER: Go visit with your rabbi, goes visit with your rabbi, shows you how much you know.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: And think about - think about your wife.

WEINER: By the way?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: How could you take the person that you most.

WEINER: By the way - that is between me and her and my god. Not between you.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We trust you and betrayed (ph).

WEINER: That`s not up to you.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

So, Kita, you think that Weiner, he just needs to walk away, next time?

WILLIAMS: I think he could walk away next time, but I think, you know, when you are putting, you know, a lot of God in the mix and then you are adding other comments that, you know, is offensive. You have to stand up. And I think that is what he did for the first time. He stood up the right way.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Well, he showed another talent this time around. We know how talented he is with a camera and a smartphone. But now you can see - he can actually fight with food in his mouth. I mean that is very, very difficult.

(LAUGHTER)

CURRY: I noticed the food too. That is funny you pointed it out. OK now, it`s time to reveal what is number one on the SHOWBIZ Countdown caught on camera. So, strap on your seatbelts, folks, hang on as speed demon is claiming that he just set a record, zoom it around - New York City. All 26.5 miles in just over 24 minutes. And he caught the whole thing on his dash cam. Here`s CNN Jeanne Moss for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

JEANNE MOOS, CNN CORRESPONDENT: When you think of record fast time, circling the island of Manhattan, you tend to think of swimmers. There`s a new unofficial claimed fastest lap and it didn`t involve getting wet. It did involve a lot of illegal speeding and weaving on roads not designed for that. An anonymous driver posted this video of doing a complete loop of Manhattan in record time late at night. 24 minutes seven seconds.

(on camera): Are you impressed?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes.

MOOS: This cabbie was our CNN currier, Wazan (ph).

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I mean move the night - I`m not impressed. Do that in the regular day, and I`ll be impressed.

MOOS: This is called outlaw racing. Along the 26 and a half mile route around Manhattan, the driver ran one red light, stopped at six. He added the music of Afro jack and posted his speeded up video to YouTube. The previous record was claimed by guys calling themselves the Corporate Broadcasting Company.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We are planning on beating 27 minutes tonight.

MOOS: They allegedly did, claiming a time of just over 26 minutes.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We did it! We did it.

MOOS: The very first record holder, Alex Roy put together a list of all the moving violations he figured he committed during his lap. And sent it to the car culture blog Jalopnik. 151 violations, like speeding and improper lane changes. The unofficial new record was supposedly set in a 2006 BMW-Z4 like this one. The average speed worked up to around 66 miles an hour.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You know, he is lucky the cop did not stop him.

MOOS: They are trying.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We now have license plate readers that are positioned in the city that will assist in this type of investigation.

MOOS: The blog Jalopnik says it spoke with the anonymous driver asking, what was your hairiest moment during the lap, to which he answered, none, I was always in control. One angry poster commented, "People are likely to be killed and kill others trying to beat this record. Imagine, having this guy bearing down on you, give us a break."

CURRY: Are you like me? Just sitting there watching it that was fun to watch. And it`s out for everybody. Now in New York City that this mystery speed driver has gotten his fill and doesn`t try it again. Because it could be really, really dangerous.

HERJAVEC: You keep saying social media and then you go to e-mail. E-mail is not social media.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Doctors are constantly posting things on Twitter and on other websites.

HERJAVEC: And how do you use that?

CURRY: Oh, that`s ABC`s Shark tank judge Robert Herjavec go head in head with millionaire wannabes on the hit really TV series, Robert`s millionaire wannabe. They are all hoping to cash in with their idea for the next big thing. So, how do you steal you pay as the next big thing when you have that one shot, of just 15 minutes of fame? I`ve got Shark Tank, Judge Robert Herjavec with me tonight to spill the secrets who`ve made big money and (inaudible) even in all new season of his hit show. Shark Tank, its premiere by the way, September 20th on ABC. OK, Robert, I want to get your take on some people making the headlines today. They are trying to make the most of their 15 minutes of fame. But first, let`s ask you about some big money news out today. We learned that Sofia Vergara is topping the Forbes list of highest paid TV actresses for the second year in a row. Vergara reportedly raking in some $30 million a year. That`s what your own top of the list. And you are a money making expert, so I got to ask, do you think she is worth it?

HERJAVEC: Well, first of all, absolutely. I think that`s a lot of money and let me tell you this, she is not an overnight success. She is a ten- year overnight success. Nobody gets lucky with $30 million. I know how hard I worked to make 30 million, nobody gives it to you for free, so she is worth it, in my eyes.

CURRY: Yeah. All right. And let`s move on to some other big headline makers today who open (inaudible). Sarah Horn (ph), she`s just an average girl plucked out of the audience at a Kristin (ph) concert to sing a duet. Sarah walked on the stage, she stunned everyone there. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: (Singing)

CURRY: So, just amazing. And that video went viral, right? Sarah, she just told us here at "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" that she wants her shot at fame, so what is your advice to Sarah as she`s trying to spin this whole attention to something more.

HERJAVEC: Well, so, here is my advice. When I first went to L.A. I thought I had a lot of talent, deep down I wanted to be a rock star, here`s what I`ve learned.

(LAUGHTER)

HERJAVEC: God gives you talent, but you earn money. So, just because you have talent, and trust me, I have no talent, my kids tell me all the time, you`ve got to go out and earn it. I think it`s great that she got that publicity, but you`ve got to translate that into some type of a marketable image or a business. The market rewards results not intent.

CURRY: Yeah, well she is a music teacher, so maybe she will go somewhere with that.

HERJAVEC: But how cool is that?

CURRY: I know, she was amazing and the shock on Kristin`s face was awesome.

HERJAVEC: I wish I could sing.

CURRY: Awesome. I know, me too.

(LAUGHTER)

CURRY: Well, from that viral video, let`s move on to a blog gone crazy viral. It was written by a young couple of friends that got tired of the dating scene in New York, so these friends vowed to date each other for 40 days straight. They blogged about it and now they`re actually getting TV and movie offers to tell their story. So, Robert, are you saying this is a new formula for a long turn success here, viral blog equals big movie, equals big money.

HERJAVEC: Well, I think the first thing, we`ve got to hire those people, because I can`t get a show on the air, but they seem to be able to blog, again, a TV show. This is the trend. People want to know about other people. Simple things in their lives. I think that what this proves is anybody can do it.

CURRY: Yeah. Well, let`s move on now to a little girl with big dreams. Kaycee Rice, she is an amazingly talented ten-year-old dancer who found herself in the spotlight, thanks to Katy Perry. Perry tweeted about Kaycee dancing and the Internet went bananas. More than 2 million people have watched her video. Let`s look at that.

(Music)

HERJAVEC: Makes me want to dance.

CURRY: She can shake it, that is for sure. So Kaycee wants to be a star.

HERJAVEC: Who doesn`t want to be a star.

CURRY: Shake it or break it. What do you think?

HERJAVEC: I love it, she has a chance.

CURRY: All right, so, let`s go talk about your show now, "Shark Tank," it`s a huge hit. I love watching it. So this new season 5 premieres on September 20TH. You have got to spill some secrets for us, so what are some of the wildest business ideas you are seeing this season? Give us a sneak peak.

HERJAVEC: We`ve seen it all this season. We have seen crazy ideas which I cannot tell you about, we have seen fights between the sharks. We have seen two female sharks, Laura and Barbara, fighting it out. It`s everything on amplified this year.

CURRY: Oh, cannot wait to watch. I watch you guys when I`m supposed to be going to sleep. Robert, thank you so much, again. Check out the new season of "Shark Tank," premiering September 20TH on ABC.

Moving on now, it`s hard to believe that it`s been 16 years now since Princess Diana`s death. Tonight we`re in London at the star-studded premiere of the new movie, "Diana," that has everyone talking. This is SBT, "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

CURRY: Right now SHOWBIZ on location, on the 60TH anniversary of her death, the long awaited film takes us inside the last days of the people`s princess. We know that Princess Diana died with her boyfriend, Dodi Al- Fayed, but what you may not know is there was another man who stole her heart years before. And in a new film, "Diana," Naomi Watts is (inaudible) real-life love story that combines fact and fiction in this 20th century royal fairytale. Here is CNN`s Erin McLaughlin as SHOWBIZ heads to London.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

ERIN MCLAUGHLIN, CNN CORRESPONDENT: The film focuses on the little publicized two-year relationship between the late princess and Pakistani heart surgeon, Hasnat Khan. It`s based on accounts from friends as well as records from the inquest into Princess Diana`s death. I had a chance to chat with the director about the challenges of balancing fact and fiction.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It`s a dramatic interpretation of true events. There`s so many people who got glimpses of their relationship that could give me information that I dare say, this is a very authentic interpretation, of what it was like, and at the end of the day, it`s about a very deep love, a strong love of two people who have a great humanity and were soul mates. To a certain extent, it`s so universal. I could take away the name Diana, I could take away the name Hasnat Khan, and it would still work.

MCLAUGHLIN: Were you worried about royal reaction?

NAOMI WATTS, ACTRESS: I`m worried about how they feel about it. And -- or concerned I should say. I hope that they feel that we have told the story in a respectful and mindful way.

MCLAUGHLIN: How does playing a real life figure compare to playing a fictional character?

WATTS: A lot more pressure. Particularly when it`s the most famous woman of our time. Yeah, you have a responsibility to get that story, and all the emotion and nuance that comes with that, and in this case, everyone feels they know her. So, they are sure that she belongs to them. It was very tough to take possession of the character. It`s much easier to invent the character from the ground up.

MCLAUGHLIN: As for Hasnat Khan, he is still a surgeon living here in London. He has been very critical of the film, bashing it for being based on a hypothesis and gossip, certainly was not present on the red carpet tonight. Natasha.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

CURRY: All right, Erin McLaughlin from CNN, thank you for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. And let me ask you a question here, so what do you think Miley Cyrus`s hit video for "We Can`t Stop" will look like in the prim and proper of the 1950s?

(MUSIC)

CURRY: All right, picture it, no grinding on teddy bears, no drug talk, just good clean fun. The big reveal is moments away in tonight`s SHOWBIZ moment of awesomeness. This is SBT, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(MUSIC)

CURRY: Drug references, freaky dancing, love it or hate it, you cannot deny that "We Can`t Stop" by Miley Cyrus is catchy as all get out, but what if Miley had hit the big time with this song back in the 1950s? Tonight`s SHOWBIZ awesomeness takes a trip in the SBT time machine to get the answer. Tom Bradley (ph) and the post-modern jukebox just released an awesome do- wop cover of Miley`s hit. The singer, Robin Anderson (ph). Even looks a little like Miley when Miley wore clothes and before her blond hair. Watch this.

(MUSIC)

CURRY: As Miley would say, that is pretty cool. And thank you for watching, I`m Natasha Curry. Watch "SHOWBIZ Tonight" Monday through Thursday at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific. HLN continues right now.
