A.J. HAMMER: Tonight on the "Top Ten Countdown," Secrets of Star Diet Wars. The massive celebrity battle to slim down as Kim Kardashian reveals exactly what she ate to lose that 43 pounds in baby weight.

Plus, an SBT exclusive tonight.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Just hours after their big "Today Show" gig, the hottest boy band in America, Midnight Red, is right here to give a fan the surprise of a lifetime.

SBT starts right now.

Hello and thank you so much for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer. There`s my guest co-host tonight, Natasha Curry, the anchor of HLN`s "Weekend Express." Good to see you, Natasha.

NATASHA CURRY, CO-HOST: You, too, Natasha.

We`re kicking off our "Top Ten Countdown" of today`s must-see, must-hear stories with No. 10, an SBT exclusive. Something that you only see here on HLN.

HAMMER: That is right. It is the remarkable surprise that a fan got when Midnight Red, one of the biggest boy bands in the country, surprised her with a concert in her backyard. Her name is Samantha Weir. She`s right here with us tonight from Fayetteville, Georgia.

Hello, Samantha. So nice to meet you.

SAMANTHA WEIR, TREATED TO SURPRISE CONCERT: Hi.

HAMMER: Let me explain to everybody exactly what happened. You were all set to go see Midnight Red performing in concert in Atlanta, but unfortunately and very sadly, that show was cancelled, because their fellow tour star, Austin Mahone, got sick.

So your mom somehow manages to get Midnight Red to show up at your house and perform. Amazing. Let`s watch that big surprise.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Sam. I have a surprise for you.

WEIR: Oh, my God.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What`s up!

WEIR: Oh, my God.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Hi.

WEIR: What`s your name? Hi.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: How are you? You look surprised and confused.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I imagine they were extraordinarily confused. Everything must have happened so fast, Samantha, when they were there. I`m sure, as the evening and day was going on, there was at least one question you were dying to ask these guys. But I don`t know, maybe you didn`t have the chance. What would you have wanted to know from them?

WEIR: Well, I really wanted them to dance, actually. Synchronized dance, because that`s what they do. But I just didn`t think of it.

HAMMER: Samantha, I realize you`re on Skype. You can`t actually see us and what`s going on here. I`m not sure if I can get them to dance, but I have another surprise for you tonight. Say hello to Joey, Colton, Eric, Thomas and Anthony. Your friends from Midnight Red right here.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Hey!

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We`re not in your bedroom, because you totally looked around as if we were going to pop out.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We`re not in Atlanta this time. How are you? We miss your mom, as well. Should out to Liz.

WEIR: You guys are making me nervous.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Don`t be nervous.

HAMMER: Actually, I think they`re probably dying to know, and I know everybody who`s watching wants to know what was happening in your head when you opened up the door and there`s Midnight Red standing there.

WEIR: Well, I was just, like, sitting on my bed, and my mom opened the door. And I saw Thomas`s hair, and I was like, "What?" And then they walked in, and we were just kind of like, "Oh, my God, what`s happening?"

HAMMER: Thomas`s hair is pretty much the giveaway for you guys, no matter where you are. Everybody can be in disguise. You`ll see Thomas`s hair and game over.

What was it like for you guys? Because you had never done anything like this before. You`re showing up in the suburbs on a tour bus to go perform for somebody who has no idea you`re coming.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Bring the bus to the burbs, is what we called it.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Because the tour got cancelled, it was upsetting for us, as well as, you know, the fans. And so for us, it was a big deal that we got to still do something for the fans that didn`t get to see the show. And so for Sam and her mom to open up the house to us, that just meant a lot, and we`re never going to forget that experience.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: And plus, Sam`s mom got a lot of pizza. So that was a big, you know, big selling point.

HAMMER: I`m still trying to understand how Sam`s mom actually got in touch with you guys. Samantha, did you get the story from Mom as to how she was able to arrange this whole thing and actually reach these guys?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Sneaky, sneaky.

WEIR: I don`t know. I think she just kind of found an e-mail and e-mailed someone, and it just happened.

HAMMER: And you`re 22 years old. Guys, you obviously know you have an enormous teen and tween fan base. Everybody loves you of all ages. But Sam, at 22, what drew you to these guys, and why are you such a huge mega fan of Midnight Red?

WEIR: Well, I guess it`s because, like, they`re a boy band, but they`re, like, the same age as you so it`s not as weird to like them, and it`s kind of just like you`re cute. And that`s it.

HAMMER: And by the way, to be clear, when she said the same age as "you," she was referring to herself, not to me. That`s something completely different.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You can still be a fan, A.J.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes, come on.

HAMMER: I`m a huge fan. I think you guys are awesome just for being so, I don`t know, in addition to being great performers but seemingly so level- headed. We`re going to get into that in just a minute.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Thank you.

HAMMER: But talking about that day at Samantha`s and showing up in the suburbs, now your fans have that big expectation that, "Oh, maybe I can get them to show up at my house."

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Maybe.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Tweet us.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We definitely opened the door when that happened. We realize. Like when -- we realize like when -- because it started out, honestly, as just like a wacky idea, and we kind of looked at each other and are like, "Why don`t we actually do it?" So, you know, we got our management to get in contact with Sam`s mom, and like after that moment that we were like, "Guys, I think we`re, like, you know, having a house party performance sort of thing."

Like this might happen more often. It was really cool, honestly. Like I can`t think of anyone else that has done that.

HAMMER: Before we let Sam go, Sam, it`s your last chance today, because who knows the next time you`ll be surprised by these guys, to say whatever you want. I can`t get them to dance. Our lighting won`t work with that, unfortunately, today. What do you want to say to these guys?

WEIR: Well, me and the tripod want you guys to hang out with us in February after the show.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That`s tempting.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The tripod is her and her two friends. And they`re amazing.

HAMMER: So they`re like the big redheads?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes.

HAMMER: Well, Samantha, great to have your here. Big applause for Samantha.

You guys are here tonight on SBT. This morning, wow, what a big day performing on "The Today Show." Have you seen the performance here? Have you watched this?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We just watched this.

HAMMER: Now it`s not a surprise, but let`s take another look at it.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

(MUSIC)

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: You sound great, as always. And of course, there`s the hair again, not moving. Not even an inch.

And you guys clearly love your fans and appreciate your fans, which is one of the reasons I think your popularity is really soaring.

You went to a pizza parlor afterwards. And where is that picture that they tweeted out? Can I see what was happening at the pizza shop? You guys apparently love pizza in a big way.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes.

HAMMER: What was happening here?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We went to -- went outside after the performance to meet, you know, all the people out there and see the new faces and get to interact with them. They didn`t let us perform, which was an upset. So we went next door in the pizza parlor and put on a show.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Can`t stop us.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Some of the fans, some of them were camping out since wee hours in the morning.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Thirteen hours.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: So what we did, we found the warmest spot in New York, which was a pizza parlor.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Bought them some pizza.

HAMMER: So here it is. You guys have probably been dreaming of something like this for many, many years, and now the big success is actually happening. Is it what you expected? Is all the fans and the accolades you`re getting anything what you thought it would be like?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It all happened so quickly, to be honest with you, because I think since the inception of Midnight Red, we began, like, in a garage rehearsing with -- you know, without a label or without anything. And we were always hungry since that day. And I think that`s something we still carry today. We`re very hungry, very ambitious, driven people. So we always look forward.

And honestly, one of the most touching things is at the pizza parlor when we were singing. All the fans were singing back. And we kind of choked up.

HAMMER: Do me a favor. As you move forward, don`t lose that hunger. Honest to God. And I`m not talking about the pizza. Great having you here, guys. It was a lot of fun.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Thank you.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Thanks.

HAMMER: And we can`t wait to hear the new album come out. All right, thanks.

Well, as we get ready for more of our must-see countdown tonight, get ready for star diet wars. Who is losing it best? Jennifer Hudson and Jessica Simpson certainly look amazing after dropping the pounds. Does Kim Kardashian`s 43-pound slim-down beat them both? Well, I`ve got the woman behind Kim`s incredible transformation after baby North was born right here with me tonight. Do the diet divas beat our revealing one-on-one with Mariah tonight?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MARIAH CAREY, SINGER: This is an art to learning how to let go of things in your life, people in your life, things that are not good for you.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Mariah Carey has a brand-new song and a new outlook on life. You are not going to believe how she is getting her new message and her new music to her fans. What`s No. 1 tonight?

This is SBT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

CURRY: Our "Top Ten Countdown" tonight. Moving on now to No. 9. The incredible new and moving revelations by Wanda Sykes about being female, black and gay in Hollywood.

HAMMER: And she`s telling all to Oprah. The next episode of "Oprah`s Next Chapter," which focuses on being gay in Hollywood, Wanda was also joined by "Modern Family" star Jesse Tyler Ferguson and "Scandal`s" Dan Bucatinsky.

Wanda described herself as the trifecta of discrimination, and she explained how hard it is to figure out exactly why she might be discriminated against.

OPRAH WINFREY, MEDIA MOGUL: So if you`re being discriminated against, how do you know if it`s because you`re a woman, because you`re black or because you`re gay?

WANDA SYKES, COMEDIAN: There`s the problem.

WINFREY: There`s the problem.

SYKES: Yes, I can`t figure it out. To go back to my family, I think that also was a big problem with them, because it`s what are people going to say? When I say people, I mean like the community. The black community.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Obviously, things not easy for Wanda. And she reveals a lot more on "Oprah`s Next Chapter." It airs this Sunday on OWN.

CURRY: Looking forward to that. And that brings us to No. 8 on our countdown. The amazing story of a Hollywood dream come true.

Back in the `80s, two kids spent seven years recreating every single shot of Steven Spielberg`s Indiana Jones classic, "Raiders of the Lost Ark." And they put in ever danger special effect, every dramatic action scene. And even that big old famous boulder made it in.

Love it. That movie became a cult classic. Even Spielberg himself saw it. And now the life story of the guys who made it may be made into a movie.

Eric Zala is with us from Vegas, and Chris Strompolos is in Hollywood tonight.

Guys, great work there. And so you get the news that the producer of another cult favorite, "Napoleon Dynamite," wants to make a movie about your life story. You must have been totally speechless.

CHRIS STROMPOLOS, STARRED IN "RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK: THE ADAPTATION": Yes. It`s really exciting to think about it. You know, it will be odd to see some little kid, 11 and 12 years old in an Indiana Jones costume playing me, playing Indie.

CURRY: I was a little kid, used to rewind it over and over on my beta tape. That big boulder. That was one of the best movies ever.

And you guys started recreating "Raiders" when you were 11, and THEN you were 18 by the time you finished it. But let`s show everyone the magic that you created right in your back yards and a garage. Here`s your version of that famous sword scene from "Raiders." Look.

CURRY: I love it. So cool, Chris. You guys, you did that as kids in Gulfport, Mississippi. How did you pull that all off?

ERIC ZALA, HELPED MAKE "RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK: THE ADAPTATION": It was not easy. In fact, we nearly got arrested that day by a bunch of people who didn`t really know what we`re doing.

You don`t know discomfort until you`re walking down the business district of Gulfport wearing a traditional Arab costume, eye patch and beard. It`s been an adventure, and it`s a real challenge, it turns out, to find locations for a 1930s (UNINTELLIGIBLE) in Mississippi or just the desert for that matter. We didn`t really know how we were going to do any of this. But thankfully, kids don`t know what they can`t do and thank goodness.

CURRY: It must have been quite a sight for your neighbors.

My favorite recreation is the classic boulder scene, where you used a paper boulder for your special effects. Watch this.

So you guys have kind of dangerous stunts. That was really good, by the way. But fire, lots of fire. Cars, you know. Eric, did your parents ever just say, "You guys, you better stop. You`re going to kill yourselves"?

ZALA: About the time I doused myself with gasoline and asked the guys to set me on fire and our mom spotted the shot.

CURRY: No!

STROMPOLOS: Yes. We got in trouble for that one.

CURRY: Your poor mothers.

Well, Eric and Chris, thank you so much. Great job on that.

And make sure you pick up the book all about Chris and Eric`s incredible journey making their film. It`s called "Raiders: The Story of the Greatest Fan Film Ever Made."

A.J., how creative are they?

HAMMER: They`re amazing. I can`t wait to see how that film turns out.

And we`re just getting started on tonight`s amazing countdown. "Star Diet Wars." Kim Kardashian shed a stunning 43 pounds of her baby weight. The woman who helped Kim K. is right here. She`s going to tell us exactly how Kim did it.

Plus, roaring against cancer.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE (singing): I`ve got the eye of the tiger, a fighter, dancing through the fire. Cause I am a champion, and you`re going to hear me roar.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Got to lose those brave kids who just took Katy Perry`s anthem "Roar" to a whole new level. It`s the amazing viral video of the super strong kids who are beating the odds and having some fun while they`re doing it. What`s going to be No. 1 on our countdown?

This is SBT on HLN.

And next week it is all about "SBT Game Show Madness." I can`t wait for this. On location,, visiting classic TV game shows. Tuesday I take a spin with Pat and Vanna. Wednesday I`m with Cedric the Entertainer. The new host of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" And it`s Thursday when my dream- come-true day job happens on "The Price is Right."

"Game Show Madness" next week on SBT.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

CURRY: We are counting down today`s Top Ten must-see, must-share stories. At No. 7, why Robert Downey Jr. is a real-life Iron Man.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ROBERT DOWNEY JR., ACTOR: It`s good to be back.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: Downey has just been named the most valuable movie star in Hollywood. He`s topping Vulture.com`s list for a second year in a row. That list based on a lot of things, like how much money his movies make and how much the public and critics like him.

Downey was followed by Leonardo Di Caprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Sandra Bullock, and Brad Pitt.

And A.J., Robert Downey Jr. is also the highest-paid star in Hollywood.

HAMMER: And that makes sense to me. That takes us to No. 6 on our countdown tonight, the brave kids who roar. I`m talking about one of the most touching videos I`ve seen in a long time. The kids at the Children`s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock in New Hampshire just shot a truly stirring rendition of Katy Perry`s "Roar," Natasha.

CURRY: It brings to my eye, A.J. And you know, like I do, thousands of these lip subs of this song coming every day. But this one really, I think celebrates the deeper meaning of anthem. And these kids really just show how brave and how strong they are and they`re beating the odds. Watch.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PERRY (singing): You held me down, but I got up. Already brushing off the dust. You hear my voice, you hear that sound. Like thunder gonna shake the ground. You held me down, but I got up. Get ready cause I`ve had enough. I see it all, I see it now. I`ve got the eye of the tiger, the fire, dancing through the fire, cause I am a champion.

(END VIDEO CLIP) HAMMER: I love it. I mean, how does it not warm your heart? Look at that. Let me bring in Mary Murphy from Hollywood. Mary, of course, is a judge on "So You Think You Can Dance."

It`s always a pleasure to see you, Mary. I see you`re smiling. You always smile. But I`m sure it had a lot to do with this. And this video, by the way, I`m so pleased to say, has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to help the sick kids at this children`s hospital. It doesn`t get any better than that, does it?

MARY MURPHY, JUDGE, "SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE": Yes. It doesn`t get any better for me. I mean, just the power of music and dance. You can see how it just lifts everyone`s spirit. And boy, it brought me tears of joy to watch this video.

I think the song that Katy Perry did is amazing. And I think what everybody did in the hospital was amazing, as well, and to see all the workers, as well. Because you know, it`s kind of -- it`s a team situation that goes on in the hospital like that.

HAMMER: Yes.

MURPHY: And to see the team, the nurses, the doctors and then especially the children get up out of bed and sing and dance. It was really -- it`s a special moment for me, actually.

HAMMER: This is the important stuff. Natasha, Katy Perry herself, by the way, just put on a huge cancer benefit last night at the Hollywood Bowl, which is so great.

CURRY: Yes, A.J. It was called Katy Perry`s We Can Survive. Gosh, I told you; big tears in my eyes. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT was right there. Look.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PERRY: You guys ready to have some fun?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Good for her, right?

CURRY: I just love that she`s so committed to the cause. You know?

HAMMER: Good for her. I want to see her visit that hospital now. I`m not making you do it, Katy, but I think you should visit those kids yourself. I think that would be amazingly special.

All right. Our countdown is moving on, and it`s starting to sizzle. Meet the new Christian Grey. Jamie Dornan is reportedly going to be playing the kinky billionaire in the big-screen version of "Fifty Shades." Well, tonight we`re revealing everything that you`ve got to know about this guy, who`s about to become an international sex symbol.

But will the brand-new "Star Diet Wars" top that? Kim Kardashian, Jessica Simpson, all battling it out to cash in big while losing big. Who`s going to come out on top in the "Star Diet Wars," and what`s going to be No. 1 on our countdown tonight?

This is SBT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Right now, the "Top Ten Countdown." Kim Kardashian finally reveals her secrets about losing that baby weight. She`s on the Atkins Diet, and as we all know, she looks fantastic. Well, tonight, the woman who is personally coaching Kim is right here to dish about Kim`s diet plan.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CAREY: There is an art to learning how to let go of things in your life, people in your life, things that are not good for you.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: We`re one-on-one with Mariah Carey. So she`s got a hot new single, but it won`t be in stores or on iTunes. You`re going to find out why Mariah`s new music may be the start of a revolution.

Which global sensation is going to top our countdown? SBT continues right now.

Welcome back. Thank you for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer along with Natasha Curry.

CURRY: And we`re counting down today`s top ten, must see, must share stories of the day. I`m excited.

HAMMER: I am too. We`re up to no. 5 now, and it`s star diet wars, with brand new details about Kim Kardashian`s stunning 43-pound weight loss since she gave birth to her daughter North West back in June. So Kim K is saying she did it on the Atkins diet. And with us tonight, we have the very nutritionist who worked directly with Kim. Colette Heimowitz is vice president of nutrition for Atkins Nutritionals. Thank you for being here. And as we know looking at these pictures of Kim, since she gave birth and lost the weight, she looks great. Everybody has been wondering if she`s just on the Atkins diet or if she`s actually a paid spokesperson. Can you clear that up for us?

COLETTE HEIMOWITZ, VP OF NUTRITION, ATKINS NUTRITIONALS: The relationship is evolving. Btu we`re really happy for her that she chose a safe and effective program like Atkins to achieve her weight loss goals.

HAMMER: At the moment she`s not doing it for compensation?

HEIMOWITZ: The relationship is evolving.

HAMMER: Got you. OK, let`s take a look at how Kim dropped the weight on Atkins, because that`s really important about how she got to look this way. You kept her to 2,000 calories a day, I know. She ate fish, poultry, lean meat, a lot of veggies, some fruits, and she got fats -- very important obviously -- from avocados and nuts. She`s also doing the Barry`s boot camp work out. I got to know, how tough was it for you to get her to stick to that plan?

HEIMOWITZ: Your appetite is satisfied when you`re following Atkins. You need sufficient calories, which is really important for nursing moms and new moms. You need enough calories to rejuvenate after a pregnancy and to supply get the right kind of milk. Atkins offers all the macro nutrients necessary, like adequate protein, healthy fats, high fiber from antioxidants and vegetables. So it`s everything you need to make healthy milk and to burn fat for fuel. The power of Atkins is it allows you to burn the fat you`re eating.

HAMMER: She is certainly inspirational when you look at these photos of her, particularly the one she took of herself in that white bikini. What specifically are you telling Kim to do to keep the weight off?

HEIMOWITZ: I would tell any person trying to lose weight that you really have to eat often enough. Starvation is the worst way to try to lose weight, because you`re setting yourself up for failure. Eating small portions of protein throughout the day to keep fortified. Healthy fats like avocado and olive oil that you mentioned to keep you satisfied. Lots of fiber from vegetables.

HAMMER: Clearly working for Kim. Colette, I got to end it there. Thank you so much.

HEIMOWITZ: Okay.

CURRY: Now that Kim is speaking out for Atkins she`s now officially a part of the star diet wars. Stars like Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Hudson in the battle for diet plan endorsement, but who is really winning the star diet wars? Jenny Hutt with us from New York. She is the host of Just Jenny on Sirius XM Radio. And jenny, how much influence do you think a star like Kim K or Jessica Simpson have? Do you think it really gets the women to lose the weight?

JENNY HUTT, SIRIUS XM: I think anybody motivating anybody else is a good thing, so I do think some of the time it works, but definitely something inside of ourselves had to click for us to make the necessary change.

I almost feel like it doesn`t matter which diet we pick, as long as we follow something, do something. But I love Jennifer Hudson. I love her whole story. And I`m a fan of the calorie counting model, kind of mixed with the low carb thing. I used to be fat. I know all about this struggle.

CURRY: All of us that have dealt with baby weight, we know it is a challenge to get it off. And we have seen some impressive transformations, like Jennifer Hudson and Jessica Simpson, who are both paid by Weight Watchers. Take a look here.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JENNIFER HUDSON, MUSICIAN: You spend your life taking care of others. Why not take this time to take care of you?

JESSICA SIMPSON, MUSICIAN: I`m only human. I love food. I love life. I had no idea I could be so in control and so free at the same time.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: Such great results for them both. Let`s bring in Mary Murphy from Hollywood. She`s a celebrity spokeswoman for the Tucson Arika (ph) diet, and we love her as a judge on "So you think you can dance." My mom will be so jealous I`m talking to you now. Mary, you know there are women out there saying, you`re star, you get paid and you get a lot of help. It`s not that easy. What do you say to that?

MARY MURPHY, JUDGE, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE: You`re right. It`s not that easy. Especially for someone, I`m 54 years old. And I`m in menopause. I have had a thyroid condition. So I hit a brick wall. Honestly. And I exercise every day. And so, until (inaudible) came along, I couldn`t lose a single pound. So for someone like me, it was more for health reasons. It`s a great benefit that I lost 24 pounds right now, but I do encourage everybody, though, to see a doctor first, because I don`t think every diet is right for everybody. And I think that you need to see a doctor, because let`s say if you`re going to be on Atkins and you have heart conditions, or like me, I have heart disease as well and I have plaque in my carotid arteries, I wouldn`t be on a diet that`s full of fat all the time. So I`m on a plant based diet right now.

(CROSSTALK)

CURRY: You make a great point. It should be based on health. We`re all comparing ourselves to these celebrities all the time, and really, we got to be there for our families. That`s what it`s all about. And I remember the whole controversy after Jessica Simpson`s first pregnancy. And we -- some people were complaining about we only see her head in the weight loss commercials, the Weight Watchers commercials, but Jenny, does it matter if we can`t see the results?

HUTT: We have to be able to see the results. But I have to say, it doesn`t matter how much money you have. Losing weight is really difficult even if you`re paid to do it. That`s A. But going back to what was just said about the diets like Atkins, or the low-carb, higher-fat plans, the issue really is the refined foods. Fat is not always what creates added fat in our bloodstream. It`s better to have plant fat rather than the animal fat. But fat in and of itself isn`t the biggest problem. It`s the overprocessed white everything that causes heart disease.

(CROSSTALK)

CURRY: You`re just making me want to go eat now. I`m hungry now.

HUTT: That`s part of the problem.

(CROSSTALK)

HAMMER: Kim Kardashian is losing weight, but is she also in a weighty family battle? This brings us to No. 4. on our top 10 countdown. It`s the big Kris diss. Bruce Jenner apparently did not make the guest list for Kanye West`s over the top surprise proposal to Kim Kardashian. You have got to watch how it all went down. This is new video uploaded to Mixbit.com (ph).

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Imagine that being your life. Really. That was the big moment you saw right there. It was Kanye popping the question with the entire family standing by. You saw the orchestra, there was a whole party. They had fireworks but no Bruce. He was reportedly not even invited. And remember, it was just about two weeks ago that Bruce and Kris Jenner announced their separation. I think this was a very big deal. Bruce has been a part of Kim`s life for a very long time. They said publicly that they are playing nice, but what the heck, don`t you think he should have been there?

HUTT: I think two things. I think this defines the notion FOMO, the whole fear of missing out thing. Oy. Right. And two, I think just maybe he`s not so upset because he`s had it with the whole cameras and the whole big life thing. Maybe that`s part of why they`re no longer together. I have a feeling we`re going to find out this isn`t that big a deal to him.

HAMMER: I buy your theory about that. I have come to understand and there`s been a lot of reports that he just got fed up with the whole we`re living our lives on camera thing, but Mary, don`t you think he should have been there? I still think -- I`m tired of the whole Kardashian reality game, but this is his step-daughter.

MURPHY: Yes, absolutely. This is his step-daughter. As far as I know she really considers him to be the father figure in her life, and I think it`s really sad. Yes, of course, he is fed up and he should be, with everything, the entire family`s life on camera at all times. Nothing there in the family is too sacred. But you know, this still his little girl, and I`m hoping that this wasn`t all done in advance and that maybe she called him even before, because I think it would be extremely hurtful for him. Even though I know Kanye and him never got along, he should have known better too, to realize that hey, this is for my future wife. I want to make her happy. I don`t get along with him, but I want her to be happy. I think it would have meant the world to her. This could have all been done. He might have known well in advance.

(CROSSTALK)

HAMMER: Big plot twists coming too, keeping up with the Kardashians. Mary, Jenny, thank you both so much.

We`re getting down to the top of our countdown tonight at warp speed with Mariah Carey and what she`s learned after a lifetime in the music biz.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MARIAH CAREY: There`s an art to learning how to let go of things in your life, people in your life, things that aren`t good for you.

CURRY: We`re at No. 3 on the must see, must share countdown. Michael Jackson`s grabbing that spot. M.J. has been named the No. 1 top earning dead celebrity by Forbes. Jackson earned a whopping $160 million in the last 12 months. And that`s millions more than Madonna made, and she`s still alive and kicking. She earned $125 million last year.

HAMMER: From MJ to MC now. Miss Mariah Carey learns the art of letting go. That brings us to the no. 2 spot in our countdown tonight. Mariah just sat down with CNN`s Nischelle Turner to talk about many things in her life and career, including her new single, "the Art of Letting Go." Mariah revealed why she is releasing the song on Facebook. Her advice to young divas in training, and what she`s learned about letting go.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

NISCHELLE TURNER, CNN CORRESPONDENT: We`ll start with the name, "The Art of Letting Go." I was thinking of that, have you learned how to do that? I certainly haven`t. I`m searching.

CAREY: Honestly, I was thinking about it the other day. I was like, the art of letting go, it actually is an art. There`s an art to learning how to let go of things in your life, people in your life, things that are not good for you, whatever the case may be. As a songwriter, I never like to be too totally specific, because I like people to be able to make it about their own life experiences.

TURNER: Why release this on Facebook? We know the music industry is changing, how music is disseminated is changing, but why Facebook?

CAREY: Facebook in terms of my international fans, I realize the importance of being able to have my international fans experience the song, as well as my domestic fans.

TURNER: One of the things I thought was really interesting, you said you felt like this music was going back to your roots. You were really being organic with this music and being true to Mariah.

CAREY: There`s an emotion to it. As you listen to the song from start to finish, that you can tell that it`s me, if it`s anybody who`s ever met me or been listening to my music over however long. I was 2 when I started.

TURNER: I was with you. I was one and a half.

(LAUGHTER)

TURNER: You said you have been in business for a long time.

CAREY: I`ve been in the industry for more than half my life. Music saved my life the minute I learned how to take a melody and make it into something that also coincided with the lyrics.

TURNER: What advice would you have for those young girls?

CAREY: First of all, I told you I was two when I started, so I have to advise myself first. Listen to the "Art of Letting Go." It`s about letting go of maybe something that may not be right for you but you just don`t know how to make the final move and let go of it. It`s not easy. It`s something you have to learn how to do. I think like we`re all still learning.

TURNER: The last time we saw you, you were in a sling. You still have your hand wrapped. Update us on how you`re feeling and how the recovery is going?

CAREY: I fell off of something very high. And I dislocated my shoulder, fractured my shoulder, fractured the rib areas. It requires a lot of physical therapy. So I am one of those people, I just put Rocky on and just watch it. I`m like 90, 95 percent there. This is something that`s very new to me and the pain is very new. So on every level I can relate to this song.

(CROSSTALK)

TURNER: Let that pain go.

CAREY: I`m going to try my hardest to call you up and drag you here when we listen to the entire album. With the listening party, because I`m trying to make it a party to end all parties.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: That`s pretty amazing to see her. I`ve known her for some 20 years now and watching her evolution for me has been a lot of fun. I think she`s figured a lot of things out. She still sounds amazing.

CURRY: She does, and she looks incredible. I think a true diva, has the sparkles up and down their cast.

(CROSSTALK)

HAMMER: She had sparkles everywhere. That`s how Mariah does.

I hope you`re ready, because the moment of truth has indeed arrived. You`re about to find out tonight`s No. 1 must see, must share story on our top ten countdown next. This is SBT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: We are now ready for the big reveal of what is No. 1 tonight on our top ten countdown. It is the big reveal of the new Christian Gray.

CURRY: That is why I am blushing, AJ. We learned today that actor Jaime Dornan will replace Charlie Hunnam in the "50 Shades of Gray" movie. But here is the thing, everyone wants to know who is Jamie Dornan? And what does he look like, if you know what I mean? All you need to know is he`s a hottie, folks, as in super model hottie. He stripped down to his skivvies for Calvin Klein, but you might also know him as the Huntsman (ph) on ABC`s "Once Upon a Time." Check him out.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Grant (ph).

JAMIE DORNAN, ACTOR: The senator (ph) sleeping?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes, why?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: Oh boy. It seems Jamie might have what it takes to make things smoking hot for "50 Shades. " That`s what women like our friend Sirius XM radio host Jenny Hutt want to see. To Jenny, what do you think about him and Jamie`s performance, so to speak?

HUTT: I`m going to start with what you did, which is who? I mean. Great. I think it`s probably better that most of us don`t know who he is, because he`s sort of walking in with an empty, clean slate, and then he can sully it just so.

CURRY: He does have sex appeal. There`s something rugged and hot about him. A lot of people were saying today when they heard that he got the gig, they were like tell me more. So we will. He`s 31 years old. He dated Keira Knightley for two years, and he`s now married with a baby on the way.

(CROSSTALK)

CURRY: He played a serial killer on that popular British show "The Fall." Let`s watch this real quick.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: He clearly has a victim type. They are not victims of chance. They are victims of choice. They don`t know him, but he knows them. It`s possible that he`s out there stalking his next victim now.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CURRY: Jenny, after watching that clip, do you have any concerns he might not be able to master Christian Gray`s S&M dark side?

HUTT: I think he`ll be just fine doing that, but I kind of feel for his wife. She`s pregnant and they are newly married and he`s now going to do this movie?

CURRY: But he can pay for that kid`s education, that`s for certain, right?

HUTT: Indeed he can, indeed, but I have a feeling there might be a little bit of conflict at home.

CURRY: "GQ" magazine once called Jamie the male Kate Moss. He`s definitely going to get a lot of attention for this movie, but the New York Times called him the golden torso. Maybe fans will get tickled that Charlie Hunnam bailed.

HUTT: I think they`re going to be fine with Charlie Hunnam not there. I think it`s all going to be OK. I think they`re going to get over it. Once the movie comes out, whoever is in that role, they are going to make sure he does the right job and he looks the part, and it`s super sexy, steamy, dirty, naughty, "Nine and a Half Weeks" 2013, 2014. I get it.

CURRY: All the things his wife may not want to see.

HUTT: Yes, oh, I`ll say.

CURRY: Yes, Jenny Hutt, thank you so much. A.J., what do you think? Are you going to watch it?

HAMMER: I have no idea. I`m probably going to be forced because of work to go see this movie. But it`s one of those funny things for guys. None of us feel like we need to rush out and see this thing. I didn`t read the book. I`ll admit it. It`s part of pop culture, though, so I`m sure I will be exposed to it.

As we move on tonight, let`s move on to a current sex symbol. Somebody by the name of Beyonce. She wants to hang out at your house next year. We`re taking you behind the scenes with her 2014 calendar shoot. I`ll tell you the awesome way you can bring Beyonce home.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: I`m so ready for our moment of awesomeness right now. And Beyonce is giving you a huge reason to just rush right past the holidays this year and ring in the new year.

CURRY: That`s right. Mrs. Carter is working it for her new calendar shoot. We have got the divalicious (ph) behind the scenes video for you. AJ, did it kind of seem to you too like it was maybe one of those clothing optional shoots? Watch.

(MUSIC)

CURRY: The calendar is 15 bucks on Beyonce`s website. She looks amazing, I think she should make one every year, AJ.

HAMMER: This is a new thing for her. Her first ever. $15 a bargain when you can spend every day planning your life in 2014 with the beautiful Beyonce. Very nice. Well, thank you so much for watching. I`m AJ Hammer in New York with Natasha Curry, of course. Watch SBT Monday through Thursday at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific. HLN continues right now.
